Airborne Division Guards Book Report
We are introduced to Melba Pattillo Beals at a young age from her written recollection of old
memories of her not having a fair life before she entered Central High. Once Melba signed her fate
to integrate she faced numerous problems which were threatened days and nights, deadly situations,
and horrifying incidents that got worse once the nine fully integrated. Eventually white
segregationists hit their mark when they infiltrated school grounds in search of the black students,
and by doing so, they made President Eisenhower choose to send the 101st Airborne Division
Guards to protect the kids. The choice had angered many, so the 101st Airborne Division Guards
were sent away to be replaced by the lousy National Guards, and for many months Melba and the
others endured the same ugly treatment everyday with no true protection.... Show more content on

The event fueled more hopes for the white folks and their plans of extinguishing integration, and
it made the remaining eight face worse problems in hope for the black kids not to finish the
remaining year, and for Ernest Green not to graduate. Melba makes it through to the last weeks
of school with help from family and friends, and she is surprised to see she has finally made it.
Although Melba didn t return to Central for her Senior year because of Governor Faubus shutting
down the schools in Little Rock, she managed to find a better place to continue. Melba now works
as a News Reporter and is glad that she finally got her story

Tacos Research Paper
When asked about my favorite thing in the whole entire world, my mind is quickly filled with
the taste of the soft tortilla filled with my choice of meat, cilantro, onion, and salsa. Tacos are a
traditional Mexican dish but are eaten by everybody. A taco to us Mexicans is like a sandwich to
Americans. Anybody can eat tacos. It is not just a Mexican thing. These tasty tortillas filled with
appetizing elements are so cheap that they are found just about anywhere. Because of its
deliciousness, affordability, and easy access, tacos are my favorite. What makes tacos extra tasty
is the variety we are given. There is different type of meat that is offered like asada, al pastor,
tongue, head, chicken, fish and many for those hard to please eaters.

Antisocial Personality Disorder
Every person is commonly known for their unique personality, and the traits each of us have that are
different than others. One thing many people suffer from is some Personality Disorder such as
Antisocial Personality Disorder. Antisocial Personality Disorder (APD) is a disorder that is
going against and violating other people s rights (Corner, 2014). Individuals with this disorder are

A person may be known to be irritable, aggressive and quick to start fights (Corner, 2014). Signs
can come from a criminal past or criminal experience, possibly to develop due to living
environment.
Once a doctor can establish the symptoms, they can diagnose and get an understanding of what
may have caused those symptoms to develop. Researchers are found to look at the behavior causes
of Antisocial Personality Disorder rather than the personality traits and psychopathological aspects
(Martens, 2000). Further research is still being done to determine the primary cause of this
disorder such as brain injuries that can occur at a young age (Martens, 2000).

This article tries to sum up the causes of Antisocial Personality Disorder. Though, researchers have
not found an exact cause of Antisocial Personality Disorder (Martens, 2000). Antisocial
Personality Disorder is known to be directed toward specific behaviors and criminal act instead of
looking at personality traits and psychopathological aspects (Martens, 2000). People that develop
Antisocial Personality Disorder are more likely to suffer from substance abuse disorder, anxiety,
depression, and schizophrenia (Martens, 2000). Researchers have done different studies especially

The Danger Of Hiding Who You Are Analysis

1.The danger of hiding who you are by Morgana Bailey https://www.ted.com/talks
/morgana_bailey_the_danger_of_hiding_who_you_are 2.Ms. Bailey describes how hiding your true
self can be a way of gaining acceptance and fitting in either in your social circle or at work. She
states hiding is a continuous habit that becomes harder to break and will make it terrifying to
step forward and reveal your true self. For her, coming from a conservative town in Kansas made
it difficult to reveal her true self of being a lesbian and fear of not being accepted. She states she
did not want to be defined as a lesbian but wanted to just be known as Morgana. There was a

Mr. Anchor points out how tests are measured to conform to the average person. He states that if
you go above the norm your brain function changes and it will increase its goalpost. For example,
he points out that if you get good grades you will strive to get better grades and if you get a good
job you will then want to get a better job and so on. He states that at that point the level of
happiness is pushed to the opposite side of success and they won t ever meet. As a society we ve
trained ourselves to think that success will determine our happiness. We need to develop our
brains to be positive in the present and it will increase our intelligence, creativity and energy
levels. It will help employees perform better and be more productive. When brains are feeling
negative a person s performance is less and they feel stressed or neutral. He states we need to
retrain our brains to be positive now. He conducted a study in a company he worked for in which
he had the employees write down three new things they were thankful for everyday for 21 days.
He states that at the end of that study, the employees had rewired their brains to look at the world
and find the positive first before pointing out the negative. He found that random acts of kindness

Analysis Of The Hotel Rebuttal Of The Information
In response to the hotels rebuttal of the information I provided
Use of prior grievance settlements improper :
I would like to point out that the employer is in violation of the very thing they are accusing the
union of. If you look at the employer s EXHIBIT 4(A) Mr. Gleason attempts to use a document
that supposedly shows a limitation of back pay to 60 days, however, that class action grievance
never made it to arbitration, which leads me to believe if we were to look at the actual settlement
letter it would state: this agreement is non precedent setting and shall not be used or introduced in
any mediation or arbitration as with every other settlement we agree to outside of binding
arbitration.
The employer also states: The Union s use of the prior settlements in its presentation to the
Mediator is that it may adversely affect the Hotel s ability to resolve cases in the future. The hotels
use of a case that was settled outside arbitration was referenced, when Gary Au s case, regarding the
same issue, was settled through binding arbitration, with no limitation on the back pay.
As well as: It is often in everyone s best interests to resolve a matter rather than spend the time and
money on litigation. The hotel states they settle cases, often paying more money than they believe
they would have paid had we gone to arbitration. The union holds this same position as well, the
Union has accepted lower settlements than we believe would have been achieved through

Exclusionary Rule Pros And Cons
The Exclusionary rule, as defined in our Criminal Justice Book: 7e, is the principle that illegally
obtained evidence must be excluded from trial. If any evidence, that falls within the field of the
exclusionary rule, is found that would otherwise not have been found by law enforcements, the
rule applies to linked evidence found and all the evidence after. This after evidence is often
referred as fruit of the poisonous tree. The exclusionary ruleis also looked at in a way to block law
enforcement officers from handling searches and/or seizures, a violation of the fourth amendment,
possibly aiding to defendants whose rights have been violated.
With the exclusionary rule comes a lot of critics who believe the Court s decisions allow criminals

Department Store Industry Analysis in Mexico Essay
Mexican Department Store Industry The department store industry in Mexico functions just like the
majority of department stores around the world. They target the middle to upper class people with
money to spend on popular brands, food and entertainment. While the department store chains in
many countries tend to focus on one line of products (e.g., clothing), the department stores in
Mexico have diversified products and services that helps to decrease direct competition, but it also
makes it more difficult to predict a competitor s next move. As the middle class population grows
in Mexico, the market becomes more attractive, but many possibly new entrants are kept out by the
high barriers of entry.
Porter s Five Forces Assessment ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
On the other hand, Sears Roebuck s failure in Mexico was not due a problem of scale. Sudden
high tariffs drove them to sell shares of their company to Grupo Carso. Now with the NAFTA
Agreement signed, large U.S. competitors could enter the market without as much of a threat from
high tariffs. Additionally, Philipe Calderon s effort to reduce corruption eases the barriers to entry.
Although the middle class is not extremely big, it is growing, which makes it a very desirable
target market. If a department store is to start in Mexico with scale and succeed then it is likely they
will not have too much force from competitors driving them out of the market.
Suppliers
Suppliers have a lot of power in the department store industry in Mexico. Department stores must
seek out popular brands in order to attract their target segment, which places the department stores
in a position of power. The department stores also will not order and sell in such quantities that
the designer labels and popular brands will feel compelled to submit to a department store s
demands. The big companies that department stores in Mexico are trying to attract also have to
consider the risk off their investments, whether it is from the possibility of loss in route to the
department store or diminishing profits during bad economic climates. This keeps popular brands
from selecting small, low end department stores. In Mexico these brand labels, many of which are
coming

Keg River Essay
The term Keg River has been historically used within Alberta to indentify early to middle Devonian
carbonate reef type structures within the Alberta Basin. Nomenclature problems were identified by
Schneider (2011) with commonly interchangeable terminology that began in the 1930s, including
Upper Elk Point formations such as the Winnipegosis, Keg River and Methy.
Sproule (in Ells, 1932) described the Keg River from outcrops along the Clearwater River, near
Fort McMurray in the 1930s. Sproule described the carbonate sequence as a thin bedded, alternating
limestone and shale, progressing to an argillaceous limestone under a massive dolostone.
The Methy Formation was first published in research from Nauss (1950), currently used as the ...

Corrigan (1975) divided the Keg River into two units; the lower unit The Platform consisting of
uniform thickness over a large regionally area; and the second unit as an aerially restricted Buildup
consisting of reef mounds deposited on the top of the lower platform unit. He described the Keg
River Formation to contain halite, anhydrite and carbonate.
Campbell (1987) defined the Keg River Formation as an open marine carbonate with an upward
shoaling character marking the beginning of the Lower Elk Point Group (Lower Keg River
Member).
This Lower Keg River member was initiated by a rapid increase in sea level elevation flooding
the salt plains of the Contact Rapids. Campbell (1987) described the Lower member of a dark
micritic limestone, in a somewhat euxinic environment, containing bitumen and fauna such as
brachiopods, crinoids, corals, stromatoporoids and gastropods. The unit can be locally
dolomitized with a maximum thickness of approximately 50m. The Upper Keg River member
was deposited during the restriction of marine waters by the Presqu ile Barrier reef into the Elk
Point Basin (Campbell, 1987). The interior of the basin contains Upper Keg River pinnacle reefs,
banks and platforms. Campbell (1987) noted the spatial differences in the type of carbonate
deposition within sub basins; areas from the Peace River Arch to southern Albertashow a fringing
carbonate platform, while the Rainbow, Zama and Shekelie basins contained the majority of the

Comparing The Flea and Valentine Essay
Comparing The Flea and Valentine
The flea is a metaphysical poem about a man trying to argue a virgin into bed to have sexual
intercourse with him. This poem was most likely written to amuse the readers and probably more
for a larger male audience. The poem was written in the late 17th century in a period where sex
within marriage was like a household chore, but socially, sex before marriage was like a sin,
because society was extremely religious. John Donne is attempting to get these thoughts out of her
head and persuade her to have sex with him.
Metaphysical poets use a lot of elaborate and extended comparisons.
They wrote energetic and vigorous poems that went against the common literature of the time.
There are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The poet points out that losing her virginity is not a sin.
A sin, nor shame, nor loss of maidenhead
He tries to reverse her views that both society and herself share. He is very persuasive in this
poem and uses the flea many times as a symbol of their sexual union and uses many metaphors.
He uses many sly phrases also which could easily win his argument and I feel it is making her feel
guilty and starting to make her confused and think about the prospects of them having sex.
I think that during the end of the first stanza the poet starts to become quite theatrical.
Yet this enjoys it before it woo, And pamper d swells in one blood made of two; And this, alas! Is
more than we would do.
This could be referring to sex. The flea enjoys the blood and so does the man enjoy foreplay. The
pamper d swells could be that of sexual organs before sex and yet, because that is not happening,
the flea is having a better time at the moment than he is, by sucking their blood.
I think that by using this comparison, John Donne is being very intellectual and at this point I feel
he may win his argument.
The second stanza, John Donne becomes weaker as the girl starts to defend herself and he tries to
convey his love for her.
John Donne, in this stanza I feel becomes more intimate and uses alliteration and much more poetic
techniques. At the beginning of the second stanza, I would assume that the girl has got up and left
him.

Examples Of Daisy Buchanan In The Great Gatsby
On the other hand, Daisy Buchanan, the epitome of the aristocratic social class, was born into
the glory and prosperity that people wish to achieve in their dreams, and thus represents the
passion the Old Money class lacks by never having to chase an American Dream. In comparison
to Myrtle s vitality, Daisy is deficient in her devotions to strive towards a particular dream. After
marrying Tom, the values of the Old Money aristocracy led her to believe that there was nothing
else she could achieve because she had already fulfilled her role in society. Daisy s voice, her
inexplicable charm, is full of money (120); her prestigious persona is literally a representation of
her wealth and social class. The only discernible beauty in her voice... Show more content on

The nouveau riche class as a whole is characterized by Fitzgerald as moths among the
whisperings and the stars (39) in the way that the people are drawn toward things that tend to kill
them. Their determination for upward social mobility has led them to fulfill their American
Dream, but only to the extent of established wealth. A rebellion against aristocratic social conduct
leads to criticism and intolerance from the aristocratic community, leading to an unfulfilled
destiny of true social mobility. Although some of the nouveau riche class accept this distinction
from the aristocracy, Gatsby s dream and passion is nevertheless unfaltered by their judgments.
As he grew up in poverty, James Gatz s innocence and enthusiasm in his dream of social mobility
rapidly evolved into a desperate obsession with the aristocracy. His Platonic conception of himself
manifested in the ideal man of Jay Gatsby that only exists in the mind of James Gatz. Gatsby s
imagination led him to believe that his American Dream was a promise that the rock of the world
was founded securely on a fairy s wing (99). Nothing in comparison, even the harsh and bitter
burdens of reality, can ever outweigh Gatsby s strength and passion for his American Dream.

This singed napkin journal was found on the corpse of Shaun Rhodes, one of 670 who died in the
Padlock Prison Explosion. The terrorist attack was organized by The Predation Society, a group
against government enforcement of any kind. The Predation Society s motives for bombing the
prison are currently being investigated.
This journal is of particular interest. Shaun and Ludovicus s descriptions of The Eye were
actually quite close to the actual thing. The Eye was a secret programmed ship deep underground
to free clever prisoners. It s origins are unclear, but is believed to have been constructed in the early
days of the Padlock Prison for an escape, no one knows who built it. The Eye has an AI that would

In Death Of A Salesman Willy treats his wife Linda, as though he does not appreciate her. He

agriculture for hundreds of years. Without the oil, the town would not have grown to be

The oil industry was a new industry in the setting of the film. However a few times throughout we
see causalities in the workplace, including the deafening of Plainview s son H.W. Because the
industry was new it was not regulated. For the various depictions in the film are why regulation is
vital today. The accidents in the movie are the results for laws like the Occupational Safety and

Understanding Schizophrenia and Psychosis
Schizophrenia and Psychotherapy Schizophrenia is a psychiatric disorder differentiated by
degeneration of thought processes and of emotional reaction. It is characterized by auditory
hallucinations, delusions, or disorganized speech and thought process along with considerable
social or occupational dysfunction. Onset of symptoms is usually during early adulthood.
Diagnosis is based on DSM IV criteria for diagnosis of Schizophrenia (PubMed, 2010). It mainly
affects the cognition but behavior and emotion can also be involved. Schizophrenics can have
certain coexisting conditions such as major depression and anxiety disorders. These cognitive,
emotional and behavioral problems can lead to secondary problems like unemployment, academic
difficulties and social issues. Schizophrenics have higher tendency to suicide than general
population which makes their life expectancy 15 years less than the general population. The
average life expectancy of people with the disorder is 12 to 15 years less than those without, the
result of increased physical health problems and a higher suicide rate (about 5%). Following are the
classification of Schizophrenia according to DSM IV Manual Paranoid type: delusions,
hallucinations without affecting the thought behavior, and cognition. (DSM code 295.3/ICD code
F20.0) Disorganized type: Though disorder and flat affect (DSM code 295.1/ICD code F20.1)

the evidence. Moore used pathos to address his audience directly and appeal to them more
emotionally. Throughout the film, he often shows videos, images, or sounds that evoke sympathy
from the viewer. Moore conclusively demonstrates pathos when he says To American living
breathing in fear. Where gun sales are not at an all time record high. He does this so effectively
by using more videos, sad music, or even talking to the people that this massacre affected. In order
to persuade his viewers to his position through empathy, he shows the danger of what will happen if
gun control laws and policies are not changed not just to make money off the truth but to share
empathy his viewers about gun violence.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
throughout, the film he compares Americans to gun violence to 10 different other countries and
tries to reason why our numbers are so high. In order for Moore to effectively demonstrate his
use of logos, he talks about the 10 different countries including Canada and France all with
numbers below 400 people dead a year of gun violence while U.S numbers reach almost 11,000
people yearly. He does this so effectively by visiting the people in Canada and talking to people
who were interviewed about why do they think gun violence has reached an all time high and
they all repeat because the U.S. history was so violent. In other words, Moore wants to know how

The Atomic Bomb On The World War II
In August of 1945, President Truman made an important decision to drop two atomic bombs
days apart in the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I completely agree with President
Truman s decision to drop the atomic bomb on the two Japanese cities because I believe it is the
main reason that ended World War II. Being from Malaysia, my grandparents often told me
stories of their sufferings during World War II. As Singapore s former Prime Minister
concurred, the Japanese soldiers were mean, brutal and vicious towards the civilians, and if the
atomic bombs were not dropped to end the war, hundreds of thousands of civilians would have
been perished. Another reason I support the use of atomic bombs to end the war is because
World War II has the most war related deaths in history of mankind, if the war were to continue,
more people would have died and Japan will rise and hold the most power in the world. Many
minority Asian countries that were invaded would lose their culture, language and citizens, and
hence the world might be different today. The droppings of these two bombs are arguably the most
pivotal moment for Japan to end the war. First, Pearl Harbor was destroyed by a surprise Japanese
attack in December 7, 1941. With such an important event in modern American History, President
Truman has always thought of retaliating to Japan. President Truman s thought of using the atomic
bombs was to end the war as soon as possible, so that the U.S. and the Allied countries

The Media And Health And Safety Of The World s Population
Over the years, the advances in science have increased the health and safety of the world s
population. Through the introduction of vaccines, medicines, and other medical equipment, the
scientific world has prevented the spread of diseases, the possibility of an epidemic, and another
devastating pandemic in history like the black plague. Although vaccines provide a resistance to
diseases, many people question the safety of them. There is a famous theory that vaccines cause
autism due to the chemicals within the vaccines, even though scientific evidence denies any
connection. One of the reasons that this theory still exists is due to the portrayal of information
from the media. Based on the opinion of the media outlet, the depiction of the vaccineautism link
changes throughout society. The media is typically the main source of information for citizens,
whether they watch a news channel, read a newspaper, check online newspapers, or listen to the
radio, these news outlet supply our population with the basis of knowledge on all topics. Not many
people in this audience will conduct their own research, this means that the original data and
information is usually summarized and changed to fit the opinion of the media outlet. Some
celebrities, like Jenny McCarthy and Charlie Sheen, picked up on the issue and helped spread the
theory; as the media followed their stories, the idea of the connection continued to spread. The
debate about whether vaccines cause autism illustrates the

Heartbreak Ridge Battle Analysis
The Second Infantry Division of the United States Army saw a great amount of conflict in the year
1951. All starting with Punchbowl in the month of August to the Heartbreak Ridge all to the midst

hold the ground of their home land and keep key terrain. As the other side fought to take over this
land and own to turn the tides of war. Heartbreak Ridge was three main hilltops Hill 894 to the

Ethical Implications of Assisted Reproductive Technology...
Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) is a measure used to treat infertility where both sperm
and eggs are handled, In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) the most common form has been used since
1981 in the United States. ART may enable individuals who were previously not able to conceive
and deliver a child the ability to do so. In 2009 the Suleman Octupletswere born using the IVF
technique to a single mother who also had six other children under the same methods. The Suleman

The Effects Of Methylphenidate On Children And Youth
Methylphenidate, commonly known as Ritalin was synthesized in 1944 (U.S. Pharmacist, 2002).
By 1954, it was being tested on humans to treat: chronic fatigue, depression, psychosis associated
with depression, narcolepsy, and to offset the sedating effects of other medications. (U.S.

Citizens Carry Concealed Weapons Essay
Citizens Carry Concealed Weapons
In our society carrying concealed weapons seem to be a major issue. Authorities should allow
anyone to carrying weapons after they pass a background check and complete training classes.
In his essay Letting Teachers Pack Guns will make America s School Safer Lott, argues that
citizens have the right to protect themselves. I agree with him because accepting this law people
can defend themselves from criminals before police arrive. Also legalizing hidden weapons will
help to decrease violence in the streets and citizens can stop any dangerous incident from
escalating. In the United State s violence is increasing day by day and many horrible crimes

victims. I know a man that was killed when the robber was trying to take his car and it was just at
3:00p.m. If this victim were carrying a gun he would probably defend himself. I strongly support
carrying concealed weapons will help to drop violence in our streets. Citizens who have the permit
to carrying concealed weapons will help to stop any incident from escalating. For example, I
remember one incident last year when I was working in a supermarket, where someone enter and
tried to assault us at 8:00p.m. There were 20 people including three children in the supermarket
when suddenly this man with a gun was arguing about getting money. He shot my boss and he
almost harmed other person when finally someone killed him. This person saved many people
including myself. This person has the permit to carry guns. I am very grateful to him. He stopped
that criminal from harming more people that night. According to Lott, for multiple victim shootings
the biggest factor determining the amount of harm in the length of time between when an attack
starts and when someone with a gun can stop the attack, the longer the delay, the more are harmed .

The Importance Of Expungement
We know, in this country, that children are inherently different from adults and studies confirm this
(Shah, Fine, Gullen, 2014). These proven studies, have influenced the U.S. Supreme Court in
making case law on treating youths in a different manner from adults. This includes the ability to
have a juvenile record expunged (Shah, Fine, Gullen, 2014). When a juvenile commits an offense
and an investigation is conducted, many pieces of personal information are collected. Most states
have realized, protecting this information of youths, should be guided under separate regulations
than adults (Shah, Fine, Gullen, 2014). In the United States, we understand that youths are more apt
to make changes in behavior, and should not have the obstacle of transitioning into adulthood with
the burden of a record (Shah, Fine, Gullen, 2014).
Expungement basically means that a record will be destroyed and it will be as if it never
happened (Shah, Fine, Gullen, 2014). This is true to some degree, but no record is ever truly
wiped clean. Each state in America has established laws, which govern the process for
expungement. For example, some states are set up to automatically expunge juvenile records at a
certain age to set them up for success, as they transfer into adult status (Shah, Fine, Gullen, 2014).
In other states, the court has to be petitioned by the individual. Also, just because a record is
expunged, some instances still require discloser of the juvenile record

Symbolism And Symbolism In Wuthering Heights By Emily Bronte
A heart shape symbolizes love, a star shape symbolizes fame, and a diamond shape symbolizes
wealth. Isn t is crazy that a something physical can be utilized within writing to represent something
emotional or figurative? Symbolism is the art of using an object or situation to represent an abstract
idea. It is when an object, person, or situation have both a literal meaning, and a figurative meaning.
Many authors use symbolism to add personality and emotion to their writing. Symbols within
pieces of literature make the writing more enjoyable and interesting to read. Emily Bronte
efficiently uses symbolism throughout her novel Wuthering Heightsto enhance her writing and give
her work more richness. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte takes place in England on two very
contrasting estates, Wuthering Heights, owned by the Earnshaw family, and Thrushcross Grange,
owned by the Linton family. Both of the estates in this novel can be considered symbolic.
Wuthering Heights symbolizes the dark, cold, and gloomy nature of the circumstances around it.
They even proclaim in the novel that the name of the estate is descriptive of the atmosphere tumult
to which its station is exposed in stormy weather (4). The weather around Wuthering Heights also
contributes to its symbolic meaning. The strong winds symbolize the tough times presented to
those who live there, along with exemplifying the toughness of the inhabitants themselves. When

Theme: Evolution of mother and daughter relationship
A book The Road Past Altamont by Gabrielle Roy was first published in French in the year 1966
(Dillman, 115). The subject of the book penetrates to the heart of a Child s in depth world, forming
a subtle, yet considerable linkage of impressions, feelings, and relationships. The nous style of the
writer Roy, whose literature imitates her infantile on the Canadian steppe, has often been compared
with others. The book entails the four significant stories which are related to the young girl named
Christine, from the period for her innocence to maturity. According to the understanding of this
book, the purpose of this piece of literature is to make others understand the importance and power
of the development of the relationship between a mother and a daughter. Moreover, in her writing,
Gabrielle Roy allowed nothing peripheral or false to stand, according to many. The four allied
stories divulge reflective moments during her early years in the massiveness of Manitoba. However,
all the mentioned characters and events express writer s obsession with childhood till the old age,
the passage of the time as well as the mystery of change, and the artist s relation to the world.

The fourteenth amendment was adopted into the Constitution on July 9th, 1868 as part of the
Reconstruction Amendments. Specifically the Due Process Clause which prohibits state and
local governments from depriving persons of life liberty or property without certain steps being
taken to ensure fairness. This case was decided in 1973 and was a big deal for the women in
America. Women now had the right to choose whether they had a baby or not. It is after all their
body and life. Prior to abortion being accepted there had been many illegal places to have an
abortion which were unsanitary and performed by people who were not physicians. This was
dangerous for women. Now a real doctor could perform the procedure and this was a long
needed option for the women in America. Federalism took over and the states had to follow the
decision of the Supreme Court ruling. There is a problem with the new right to a woman having
an abortion and this problem is when an abortion should not be an option because the fetus is a
baby and a life. Everything is developed and the third trimester is too late to perform an abortion.
Or is it? The controversy today is over what is called partial birth abortions. A partial birth abortion
happens in the third trimester of pregnancy when the fetus is close to full development. The fetus is

the large roads and major areas were flooded by this storm. This lasted for weeks and the outcome
was not only horrible to think about but horrible to witness.
In 2005 during the coastal hurricane season there were many hurricanes. People were prepared for
small hurricanes and small wind. Although as it be, not even Houdini could have predicted ... Show

They have one basic goal and that is to help cancer patients enjoy their life and have fun. Not only
that they have the ability to bring a community together. New Orleans went from a city torn by
Hurricane Katrina, with no hope and a split community, to one that has hosted a super bowl and an
all star game. This was all a gift from Drew and the BreesDream foundation. When Drew arrived
with his charity in New Orleans, the city was back on it s feet and up and running. They were
still split until Drew led the Saints to their first ever super bowl win. But his work on the field
only shows a fraction of his greatness. He is such a considerate and helpful person and he always
helps whoever is in need. He has only been in the city of New Orleans for twelve years yet he is
already ranked number two on the most influential people in New Orleans, that is quite a feat for
such a young player. His charity has always been there to help us, so let s be there to help

Using Wireless Sensor Networks, Load Balance, Sensor...
Abstract The efficiency of sensor networks depends on the coverage of the target area. Although,
in general, a sufficient number of sensors are used to ensure a certain degree of redundancy in
coverage, a good sensor deployment method is still necessary to balance the workload of sensors
in target area. In a sensor network sensors can move around to self deploy. The deployment deals
with moving sensors from an initial unbalanced state to balanced state. Therefore, several
optimization problems can be defined to minimize different parameters such as total moving
distance, number of moves, communication cost. There is a unique problem called communication
holes in sensor networks, areas not covered by any node.
In this paper, we will work mainly to detect and remove communication hole in a heterogeneous
wireless sensor network. For this we will study the existing techniques. Finding an efficient
deployment that modifies the existing techniques.
Keywords Wireless sensor networks, load balance, sensor deployment, holes.
I.INTRODUCTION
Wireless sensor network (WSN) is an infrastructure less, dynamic topology, application oriented,
multihoping network design with small, sensing wireless distributed nodes. [1] WSN consists of
thousand of wireless node distributed in a geographical area. The distributed nodes senses the
current status of its region and supply to the next upper which collects different information from
different nodes and supplied final information to the

The Rape Of The Lock Essay
announcement about human imprudence, a lesson on female vanity, and a clever perspective of
the customs of romance.
Poem also satirise the moral bankruptcy of the ladies of the time.
Ariel wonders Belinda will break Diana s law or some china jar shall receive a flaw; whether she
shall stain the honour or new brocade; whether she shall forget her prayers or miss a dance party;
whether she shall loose her heart or her necklace .
These lines show how easily and irreparably chastity might be lost in the world of fashion. In the
18th century honour to a lady was publically worn accessory like her brocade which could be
easily stained.
The character of Belinda is the courageous woman of The Rape of the Lock. Pope constructs her
character in light of the authentic Arabella Fermor, the little girl of a noble Catholic gang. Robert,
Lord Petre, a family companion, cut a lock of her hair without authorization, along these lines
bringing about a crack between their two families. Pope delineates this occurrence in the lyric.
The Baron is an admirer of Belinda s, and he authorizes the Rape of the lock by snipping off one of

The Rape of the Lock is a poem in which each component of the contemporary scene invokes
some picture from epic convention or the traditional world perspective, and the pieces are
fashioned together with an intelligence and skill that makes the lyric astonishing and delightful.
Pope s changes are various, striking, and stacked with good ramifications. The considerable
clashes of epic get to be episodes of betting and coy tiffs. The considerable, if whimsical, Greek and
Roman divine beings are changed over into a moderately undifferentiated armed force of
fundamentally insufficient sprites. Beautifiers, attire, and gems substitute for protective layer and
weapons, and the ceremonies of religious penance are transplanted to the changing area and the
sacred place of

U.s. Japanese Government Policies Essay
Introduction The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of a set of the recent
Japanese government policies. Before China overtaking the second largest economy in the
world in 2011, Japan has kept the position for several decades. However, after the housing
bubbles burst in 1990s, Japan had economically struggled where it can no longer grow at such a
substantial rate as previously. In fact, its economy had shrunk when other neigbouring
economies, such as Taiwan and South Korea, had prospered. So Abe Shinzo was elected as the
prime minister of Japan and he has tried to revive the economy under Abenomics; yet, its
impacts on the real economy seem ineffective until recently. This is why I think it will be
interesting to evaluate whether Abenomics was the best option for Japanese government for
reviving the economy from the prolonged recession. Was Abenomics effective? Research
questions are as follows: A) Were the uses of monetary and fiscal policies effective during
recession in Japan? B) Will the structural reforms be effective solution for Japanese economy? I
will examine the effectiveness of Abenomics by looking at the historical economic data in Japan
from 1980 to 2015. In addition, I will introduce some of literatures and relevant books to support
my view on Abenomics. Literature review Japan s lost decade Hayashi and Prescott (2002)
conducted a study on Japan s lost decade to provide a new interpretation based on neoclassical
growth model.

  • 2. Airborne Division Guards Book Report We are introduced to Melba Pattillo Beals at a young age from her written recollection of old memories of her not having a fair life before she entered Central High. Once Melba signed her fate to integrate she faced numerous problems which were threatened days and nights, deadly situations, and horrifying incidents that got worse once the nine fully integrated. Eventually white segregationists hit their mark when they infiltrated school grounds in search of the black students, and by doing so, they made President Eisenhower choose to send the 101st Airborne Division Guards to protect the kids. The choice had angered many, so the 101st Airborne Division Guards were sent away to be replaced by the lousy National Guards, and for many months Melba and the others endured the same ugly treatment everyday with no true protection.... The event fueled more hopes for the white folks and their plans of extinguishing integration, and it made the remaining eight face worse problems in hope for the black kids not to finish the remaining year, and for Ernest Green not to graduate. Although Melba didn t return to Central for her Senior year because of Governor Faubus shutting down the schools in Little Rock, she managed to find a better place to continue. A person may be known to be irritable, aggressive and quick to start fights (Corner, 2014). Signs can come from a criminal past or criminal experience, possibly to develop due to living environment. Once a doctor can establish the symptoms, they can diagnose and get an understanding of what may have caused those symptoms to develop. Researchers are found to look at the behavior causes of Antisocial Personality Disorder rather than the personality traits and psychopathological aspects (Martens, 2000). Further research is still being done to determine the primary cause of this disorder such as brain injuries that can occur at a young age (Martens, 2000). Martens, W. H. (2000). If you look at the employer s EXHIBIT 4(A) Mr. Gleason attempts to use a document that supposedly shows a limitation of back pay to 60 days, however, that class action grievance never made it to arbitration, which leads me to believe if we were to look at the actual settlement letter it would state: this agreement is non precedent setting and shall not be used or introduced in any mediation or arbitration as with every other settlement we agree to outside of binding arbitration. The employer also states: The Union s use of the prior settlements in its presentation to the Mediator is that it may adversely affect the Hotel s ability to resolve cases in the future. The hotels use of a case that was settled outside arbitration was referenced, when Gary Au s case, regarding the same issue, was settled through binding arbitration, with no limitation on the back pay. As well as: It is often in everyone s best interests to resolve a matter rather than spend the time and money on litigation. The hotel states they settle cases, often paying more money than they believe they would have paid had we gone to arbitration. Department Store Industry Analysis in Mexico Essay Mexican Department Store Industry The department store industry in Mexico functions just like the majority of department stores around the world. They target the middle to upper class people with money to spend on popular brands, food and entertainment. While the department store chains in many countries tend to focus on one line of products (e.g., clothing), the department stores in Mexico have diversified products and services that helps to decrease direct competition, but it also makes it more difficult to predict a competitor s next move. As the middle class population grows in Mexico, the market becomes more attractive, but many possibly new entrants are kept out by the high barriers of entry. Porter s Five Forces Assessment ... Sudden high tariffs drove them to sell shares of their company to Grupo Carso. Additionally, Philipe Calderon s effort to reduce corruption eases the barriers to entry. Although the middle class is not extremely big, it is growing, which makes it a very desirable target market. If a department store is to start in Mexico with scale and succeed then it is likely they will not have too much force from competitors driving them out of the market. Suppliers Suppliers have a lot of power in the department store industry in Mexico. Department stores must seek out popular brands in order to attract their target segment, which places the department stores in a position of power. The department stores also will not order and sell in such quantities that the designer labels and popular brands will feel compelled to submit to a department store s demands. The big companies that department stores in Mexico are trying to attract also have to consider the risk off their investments, whether it is from the possibility of loss in route to the department store or diminishing profits during bad economic climates. This keeps popular brands from selecting small, low end department stores. In Mexico these brand labels, many of which are coming ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Nomenclature problems were identified by Schneider (2011) with commonly interchangeable terminology that began in the 1930s, including Upper Elk Point formations such as the Winnipegosis, Keg River and Methy. Sproule (in Ells, 1932) described the Keg River from outcrops along the Clearwater River, near Fort McMurray in the 1930s. He described the Keg River Formation to contain halite, anhydrite and carbonate. Campbell (1987) defined the Keg River Formation as an open marine carbonate with an upward shoaling character marking the beginning of the Lower Elk Point Group (Lower Keg River Member). This Lower Keg River member was initiated by a rapid increase in sea level elevation flooding the salt plains of the Contact Rapids. Campbell (1987) described the Lower member of a dark micritic limestone, in a somewhat euxinic environment, containing bitumen and fauna such as brachiopods, crinoids, corals, stromatoporoids and gastropods. The unit can be locally dolomitized with a maximum thickness of approximately 50m. The Upper Keg River member was deposited during the restriction of marine waters by the Presqu ile Barrier reef into the Elk Point Basin (Campbell, 1987). • 11. Comparing The Flea and Valentine Essay Comparing The Flea and Valentine The flea is a metaphysical poem about a man trying to argue a virgin into bed to have sexual intercourse with him. This poem was most likely written to amuse the readers and probably more for a larger male audience. The poem was written in the late 17th century in a period where sex within marriage was like a household chore, but socially, sex before marriage was like a sin, because society was extremely religious. John Donne is attempting to get these thoughts out of her head and persuade her to have sex with him. Metaphysical poets use a lot of elaborate and extended comparisons. They wrote energetic and vigorous poems that went against the common literature of the time. There are ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The poet points out that losing her virginity is not a sin. A sin, nor shame, nor loss of maidenhead He tries to reverse her views that both society and herself share. He is very persuasive in this poem and uses the flea many times as a symbol of their sexual union and uses many metaphors. He uses many sly phrases also which could easily win his argument and I feel it is making her feel guilty and starting to make her confused and think about the prospects of them having sex. I think that during the end of the first stanza the poet starts to become quite theatrical. Yet this enjoys it before it woo, And pamper d swells in one blood made of two; And this, alas! Is more than we would do. This could be referring to sex. The flea enjoys the blood and so does the man enjoy foreplay. The pamper d swells could be that of sexual organs before sex and yet, because that is not happening, the flea is having a better time at the moment than he is, by sucking their blood. I think that by using this comparison, John Donne is being very intellectual and at this point I feel he may win his argument. The second stanza, John Donne becomes weaker as the girl starts to defend herself and he tries to convey his love for her. John Donne, in this stanza I feel becomes more intimate and uses alliteration and much more poetic techniques. At the beginning of the second stanza, I would assume that the girl has got up and left him.

I completely agree with President Truman s decision to drop the atomic bomb on the two Japanese cities because I believe it is the main reason that ended World War II. Being from Malaysia, my grandparents often told me stories of their sufferings during World War II. As Singapore s former Prime Minister concurred, the Japanese soldiers were mean, brutal and vicious towards the civilians, and if the atomic bombs were not dropped to end the war, hundreds of thousands of civilians would have been perished. Another reason I support the use of atomic bombs to end the war is because World War II has the most war related deaths in history of mankind, if the war were to continue, more people would have died and Japan will rise and hold the most power in the world. Many minority Asian countries that were invaded would lose their culture, language and citizens, and hence the world might be different today. The droppings of these two bombs are arguably the most pivotal moment for Japan to end the war. First, Pearl Harbor was destroyed by a surprise Japanese attack in December 7, 1941. Ritalin might not have any negative physical health found at this time but it does have mental health association that impact the population affected with ADHD and more studies should be conducted long term to see the full effect of this over prescribed drug to youth. With Ritalin being prescribed to youth as young as age three (DeNoon, 2006) it can be determined that parents and educators will do anything to medicate children that may be prone to accidents or behavioural issues because of their hyperactivity and age. Greenhill, a psychiatry professor at Columbia University and director of paediatric psychopharmacology at New York State (DeNoon, 2006) stated that medicating preschoolers does have their benefits: They have difficult peer relationships due to lack of reciprocity and perhaps aggression. And they are very prone to accidents. Many of them were attending emergency rooms with cuts and bruises and broken bones, because their fearlessness and activity level made life dangerous ... Authorities should allow anyone to carrying weapons after they pass a background check and complete training classes. In his essay Letting Teachers Pack Guns will make America s School Safer Lott, argues that citizens have the right to protect themselves. I agree with him because accepting this law people can defend themselves from criminals before police arrive. I strongly support carrying concealed weapons will help to drop violence in our streets. Citizens who have the permit to carrying concealed weapons will help to stop any incident from escalating. He shot my boss and he almost harmed other person when finally someone killed him. This person saved many people including myself. This person has the permit to carry guns. I am very grateful to him. • 29. The Importance Of Expungement We know, in this country, that children are inherently different from adults and studies confirm this (Shah, Fine, Gullen, 2014). These proven studies, have influenced the U.S. Supreme Court in making case law on treating youths in a different manner from adults. This includes the ability to have a juvenile record expunged (Shah, Fine, Gullen, 2014). When a juvenile commits an offense and an investigation is conducted, many pieces of personal information are collected. Most states have realized, protecting this information of youths, should be guided under separate regulations than adults (Shah, Fine, Gullen, 2014). In the United States, we understand that youths are more apt to make changes in behavior, and should not have the obstacle of transitioning into adulthood with the burden of a record (Shah, Fine, Gullen, 2014). Expungement basically means that a record will be destroyed and it will be as if it never happened (Shah, Fine, Gullen, 2014). This is true to some degree, but no record is ever truly wiped clean. Each state in America has established laws, which govern the process for expungement. For example, some states are set up to automatically expunge juvenile records at a certain age to set them up for success, as they transfer into adult status (Shah, Fine, Gullen, 2014). In other states, the court has to be petitioned by the individual. Also, just because a record is expunged, some instances still require discloser of the juvenile record ... Symbolism is the art of using an object or situation to represent an abstract idea. It is when an object, person, or situation have both a literal meaning, and a figurative meaning. Many authors use symbolism to add personality and emotion to their writing. Symbols within pieces of literature make the writing more enjoyable and interesting to read. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte takes place in England on two very contrasting estates, Wuthering Heights, owned by the Earnshaw family, and Thrushcross Grange, owned by the Linton family. Both of the estates in this novel can be considered symbolic. Wuthering Heights symbolizes the dark, cold, and gloomy nature of the circumstances around it. They even proclaim in the novel that the name of the estate is descriptive of the atmosphere tumult to which its station is exposed in stormy weather (4). Although, in general, a sufficient number of sensors are used to ensure a certain degree of redundancy in coverage, a good sensor deployment method is still necessary to balance the workload of sensors in target area. In a sensor network sensors can move around to self deploy. The deployment deals with moving sensors from an initial unbalanced state to balanced state. Therefore, several optimization problems can be defined to minimize different parameters such as total moving distance, number of moves, communication cost. Before China overtaking the second largest economy in the world in 2011, Japan has kept the position for several decades. However, after the housing bubbles burst in 1990s, Japan had economically struggled where it can no longer grow at such a substantial rate as previously. In fact, its economy had shrunk when other neigbouring economies, such as Taiwan and South Korea, had prospered. So Abe Shinzo was elected as the prime minister of Japan and he has tried to revive the economy under Abenomics; yet, its impacts on the real economy seem ineffective until recently. This is why I think it will be interesting to evaluate whether Abenomics was the best option for Japanese government for reviving the economy from the prolonged recession. Was Abenomics effective? Research questions are as follows: A) Were the uses of monetary and fiscal policies effective during recession in Japan? B) Will the structural reforms be effective solution for Japanese economy? I will examine the effectiveness of Abenomics by looking at the historical economic data in Japan from 1980 to 2015.
