would ve further enriched his essay. One of the critical aspects he neglected to mention that I
would add would be mainly statistics instead of heavily relying on anecdotal evidence. For
example, on page 62 as he is discussing the key issues with the formula he stated, it doesn t
ensure success on standardized tests or in college. I would ve added a statistics further enriching
the say by getting his point across and having a somewhat of a shock factor. A shock factor
would ve really made his point stand out and would not just have the essay rely on anecdotal
evidence but a mixture of scientific and anecdotal evidence. Moreover, I would ve also included a
more sound concluding paragraph. I felt like the last paragraph left a somewhat sour taste in my
mouth; I would ve added now that they are able to write better essays their writing has drastically
improved and really highlighted the overall difference in quality between using different formulas. I

played close attention to the Foreword written by Thomas Kuhn. As a novice in reading about the
philosophy of science, the name Kuhn sounded familiar, but I was not able to remember which
situations or disciplines were Kuhn s areas of expertise. Moreover, I was sure that his name was
related to philosophy, but I did not certainly know about his contributions to the development of the
philosophy of science. Through inquiring more about the connections between Kuhn and Fleck, I
have found some research that has related these philosophers ways of thinking. This research
claims that Fleck and Kuhn have shaped the development of science as it is recognized nowadays,
and their contributions are framed into what Brorson, and Andersen (2001) have called scientific
phenomena worlds (p.109) . Some of this research compares both thoughts (e.g. MГ¶бєћner, 2011;
Stark, 2012), while other conceives Fleck as precursor of Kuhn s thought (e.g. Babich, 2003;
PГ©rez MarГn, 2010). The possible similarities between these philosophers thoughts seem to be

objectives of this experiment can be achieved. Both the orifice and the Venturi meters produce a

greatness. Residing in the United States gives people the opportunities and resources to strive to

former first lady of the United States, Michelle Obama, it is true. Although Michelle Obama is an
African Americanwoman who came from a low class status, she was able to achieve the American
Dream. Growing up, she never lost focus of her dream to become someone with authority. She
struggled with racial discrimination in many parts of her life beginning with school, and even as
the first lady of the United States. Through her hard work ethic, she was able to overcome her
obstacles and advance in her education to become the First Lady of the United States later. Even
though she achieved her American Dream, she wanted her peers around her to reach them as well.
