For Colored Girls Movie Essay
For Colored Girls, directed by Tyler Perry is, in my opinion, a great drama that was released in 2010.
Perry gathered some of the most prominent Black actors and actresses to display scenarios that
women, particularly those of color, go through on a daily basis. There are multiple problems facing
these women and although they all live in a different world and face all different problems, somehow
they all are intertwined with one another.
Janet Jackson plays Joanna. Being a successful business woman is not always a good thing because
she appears to be a snob and someone who only cares for herself. On top of many people not liking
her, she faces problems with her estranged husband and ends up getting the HIV virus from him. Arika
Rose plays as Yasmine, a dance instructor. With her love life she was usually uptight, but she finally
let her guard down for a man. In return, this man tha5t she got comfortable with betrayed ... Show

Being that it is a drama, the viewer is supposed to be able to feel the emotion of the movie. Tyler Perry
did a phenomenal job of making that happen. Everything seemed so real. Rape, domestic violence,
and infidelity are just a few problems that the characters in the film had to go through. These are all
problems that many people can relate to. Seeing all the sad endings made me cry. Knowing that the
plot could be a reality for an actual person around me made the movie so much better. For example,
Nyla s young pregnancy, Joanna s husband s infidelity, Yasmine s rape, Crystal with the death of her
children, physical, mental abuse, and dealing with the fact that her husband struggled with PTSD are
all issues that real people deal with. This made the emotion of the movie come out so much more than
if Tyler Perry would have presented issues that are not so common. It makes you feel for the
characters in the movie. Also, the acting that the actresses and actors did made the emotion so much

Service Request SR-rm-022 paper part 1
Introduction Hugh McCaughley, Chief Operations Officer of Riordan Manufacturing has requested a
new system for the Human Resources department of their company which would be implemented and
utilized at three plant locations and the company headquarters. To build the new human resources
system properly, information must be collected from various areas of Riordan Manufacturing, and the
information will be collected in a variety of ways. This information must then be used to determine
such items as scope of the project which can allow for feasibility studies to ensure the system should
be implemented,
Stakeholders and sources of information The first order of business for information collecting would
be to identify the stakeholders for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The interviews will be recorded and notes will be taken so the interviewer and build a plan and
determine the system requirements of the new human resource system. It is crucial that the interviews
and interview questions be well structured to gain the highest quality of information gathered during
the interviews. The quality of information gathered is just as important as the quantity as described by
Havelka and Sooun (2002): Interaction between users and IS personnel was described as the quantity
and quality of communication and the amount of group activities performed, including feedback from
and to one another during the process . Proper communication and collaboration is critical in the
beginning phases for collecting and large quantity of good quality information.
Along with interviewing, it would be beneficial to hold a JAD (Joint Application development)
session with the stakeholders so everyone may come together and share their opinions and knowledge
of the system. While a JAD session may have high costs, the benefits of a JAD session are very high
as the session enables analysts, developers and the stakeholders to come together and work towards
the design of the new system. Bringing all the users in a room together helps the analysts and
developers greatly understand the needs of the new system as discussed

Victoria De Zwaan Midnight s Children
Victoria de Zwaan is a professor of experimental fiction, film theory, and adaptation studies at Trent
University in Ontario, Canada, and argues in this article that while fidelity studies could be considered
a stagnated and outdated vain of research in adaptation theory, it can be examined from various angles
to achieve a deeper understanding of the source text instead of cutting up both sources only to fight
one other for superiority; in this case Zwaan uses the film, Midnight s Children, to expand upon her
theory. Zwaan takes note of George Bluestone s capstone work, Novels into Film, and states that most
of the work done, outside of his book, on the subject was merely a mode to break down the film
adaptation and highlight the lack of justice

Martin Luther Letter From Birmingham Jail
Letter from Birmingham Jail is an open letter that Martin Luther wrote expressing his feelings about
the racial injustice during his time period. He was put in jail when he wrote this letter for peacefully
protesting for justice for African Americans. Dr. Luther writes about what he did and why he did the
things he did. In his letter he doesn t just focus his bias opinion on the African American culture and
the horrific treatment that they have been given from the whites. No, his letter gives you an insight on
a wide variety of perspectives of people about his feelings towards justice. He references many
historical theologians and biblical characters who would have done just as he has done. This letter was

Luther has said in his letter was very persuasive to me. Dr. Luther was a very intelligent man that was
shown throughout the letter based on the words that he chose and the power that was amplified. I love
how he is not asking for revenge or sorrow of the things he has done but rather he is expressing his
thoughts and feelings through a calm and peaceful manner. He mentions how he was called an
extremist and at first and how he was offended but then later he took pride in that name. Dr. Luther
references how in the bible Jesus was an extremist for love and glory from God. He also says that we
are all extremist in one way or another. I have never heard that phrase in a positive way before. This is
my favorite part of his letter he says, the question is not whether we will be extremists, but what kind
of extremists we will be. Will we be extremists for hate or for love? Will we be extremists for the
preservation of injustice or for the extension of justice? Again this shows the level of commitment that
he has for this cause that he his willing to write in this radical type of thinking and publish it for the

Composite Structure And Its Effect On Weight And Hardness...
Wonder composite materials, with a power and universal lightweight relative to weight and hardness
properties fell over most of the store of metals and alloys recently. Properties composite depends
largely on the characteristics of its constituent materials, the distribution and the interaction between
them. In general, filler is the main load bearing Members, while the matrix keeps them in the desired
location and orientation, as pregnancy transfer means between the fillers and protects them from
environmental damage. The composite characteristics may be part of the total volume of the
characteristics of components or the ingredients may interact cooperatively resulting in improved or
better properties. Apart from the nature of the constituent materials, engineering promote ( The size
and size distribution) affects the properties of composite greatly. Composite structure is a combination
of two or more different constituents that can be physically distinguished, resulting in a final product
that has better performance than each individual constituent does. Composite materials consist of a
matrix (polymer, metal or ceramic) and one or more reinforcing phases (fibers, particles, flakes or
fillers). The different constituents are combined judiciously to achieve a system with better structural
or functional properties than can be attained by any of the constituents alone. Composites are
becoming an essential part of today s materials due to advantages such as low weight, strong

My Marin A Short Story
If I turn my head to the left, I can look out and see Mt Baker through the masts of the sailboats here in
the Marina. The view changes daily depending on the weather. Right now the peaks on Mt Baker are
cold and sharp, covered in snow. I can gauge the wind just by looking at the flagpoles and the compass
I placed on my desk letting me know which way is up. I am constantly confused as to which direction
I am facing, confusion which increases with my age. I always took pride in my memory, being able to
remember names and faces of classmates from 36 years ago, but since starting this job a year ago, I

Multiple Forms Of Democracy, Monarchy And Dictatorship
There are multiple forms of government including: Democracy, Monarchy, Oligarchy and
Dictatorship. We here in America are probably most familiar with Democracy, however most do not
know that their are very similar yet different types of Democracy; Direct and Representative. Direct
Democracy, which is what the Athenians used, is where the people had complete and utter control of
the laws that were passed and how the laws were enforced. Representative Democracy, in America, is
where the citizens have a major input into what goes on in the country but we elect officials who
represent the decisions of the people. We elect leaders who sit within the three branches of
government; Legislative, Executive and Judicial. Secondly, a Monarchy is the ruling ... Show more

I m not the only one to think this as John Locke, an escapee from an absolute monarch, argued that
any other form of government was simply irrational and ill functioning. Now I understand that this is
largely up for debate due to other nations historically using many alternative forms of ruling which
have worked out fine. If I were to be a citizen of the United Kingdom, I might have a completely
different outlook on this issue. That being said, despite where I was born, I truly believe that I would
indeed have the same outlook. Democracy is a form of government that encourages the citizens and
the people to get involved. Everyone is allowed to have opinions on on certain issues, matter of fact in
today s day in age people might say people are too opinionated on certain matters that don t even
involve them. However, for a society to properly function, we need people to have opinions on issues
that they are passionate about. If we want problems in our nation to get properly handled, we need the
people to have reasonable riots and revolts to show that we are passionate as a country about what is
going

Billy Collins Forgetfulness Essay
In the poem Forgetfulness by Billy Collins he portrays the message of memory loss using figurative
language and examples. The message of this poem is saying that memory is a precious thing that we
should cherish daily. We should make use of it everyday because everyday the older we get the more
memories are being lost because they lose importance.Through Collins use of imagery he allows the
reader to have awareness and guilt.Reason for saying so, is because it makes you think of how you ve
been taking advantage of your memories .He gives you notice using metaphors to help us understand
the horror of memory loss. The choice of words that the other uses in this poem is very well chosen
and helps gives the reader a visual of what losing a memory is like. A section from the poem
Forgetfulness by Billy Collins that helps the reader understand the true meaning of the poem is found
in line 12 Something else is slipping away . The meaning of the quote is saying that even as we add

back. Our memories leave to a place like the Sahara desert where we cannot communicate with it or

Summary Of Entropy By Thomas Pynchon
In Thomas Pynchon s Entropy the American society is through two different extremes through the
narratives of Meatball Mulligan and Callisto to identify the chaos and heat death of the American
society. Through the chaos it is evident that the breakdown of communication is present and how
communication is failing in the American society. The breakdown of communication in this short
story is shown through the communication theory, the chaos that emerges from Mulligan s party, and
the heat death of the universe. This ultimately portrays the rise in the death of the American society,
dehumanization, and self destruction in both Callisto s closed and Mulligan s opened systems.

There are many strangers, such as the George Washington girls, that enter Meatball s apartment
however everyone is separated and talking but not communicating with each other. Pynchon is trying
to show that without communication entropy will take over and in this case the act of people coming
and going is a symbol to that entropy. The uniformity that is created through this party of people
coming for the sole purpose of this party and lacking communication discourages real communication.
Pynchon shows that communication is only there when people try to reach out to each other to create
some sort of understanding however when Meatball tries to communicate with Duke, Duke insists that
Meatball remains quiet (733). When trying to communicate with each other a sense of individuality
and order is expected however through Meatball s apartment the sense of the American individual
lacking communication is present. It is evident that in Meatball s world the communication has failed
as he started to think to himself about [the] two ways he could cope: (a) lock himself in the closet and
maybe eventually they would all go away, or (b) try to calm everybody down, one by one (735).
Meatball did not want to deal with the chaos that was unfolding and in order to do that he had to take
care of each individual that was there. However the chaos was already present as the people who were
at his apartment were somehow locked in their own worlds like Americans at that time due to the
failure of communication. The failure to communicate is also seen when the jazz group Duke Di
Angelis Quartet thought of their music to themselves when they were going through the motions of a
group having a session, only without instruments (733). The many people that continuously enter and
exit Meatball s party is a symbol of chaos which suggests the heat death and entropy that is unfolding
through this disorganized

many prescribers who push these drugs on families who are not educated on the dangers and risks that

The Impact Of Digital Technology On Children And Adults
As a result of the of digital technology in modern society, digital literacy practices that adolescents
and young adults engage in on a quotidian basis have profoundly affected not only their influence over

Web 2.0 technologies have enabled individuals around the world to interact and communicate with
one another, constructing an imagined community in the Andersonian sense vis a vis digital mediums.

Empirical studies have found both a positive correlation between texting and literacy as well as
negative results. The mixed results and conflicting findings suggest that literary scores may correlate
with literacy on a continuum depending on the frequency of texting, the use of text speak or so called
textisms, and knowledge of text speak and textisms. Moreover, the correlation may also be impacted
on whether the student is engaging in formal or informal writing. The conflicting results conjure up
various questions regarding how the correlation is quantified, which may account for discrepancies in
the results. Analysis of the established correlation cannot assertively establish causality, which
suggests that further research is necessary to adequately qualify and quantify if disparate literacy
levels are amplified and/or governed by text messaging, or lack thereof. The emergence and escalation
of text messaging as a key mechanism in the socialization process has led to a paradigm shift in
pedagogy, as teachers and professors must learn how to effectively appropriate important academic
material through literacy practices within digital environments and contexts and approaches to the
learning process. Moreover, examining the impact of text messaging friends in

There s not much music from then and it s the weirdest thing. You realize that not even 100 years ago
their music was so limited. You can kind of hear familiar sounds as to where our music maybe has
come from. But also doing the research helps. Like when Carson says he worked the chuck wagons
for the railroad, looking back at what chuck wagons were, they were the food trucks of that time. So
looking back to see what that looked like and how the kitchen was setup on a chuck wagon is fun!
Playing a period piece is a whole different thing. You get to look at the history and see how things
used to be and I really like that!
And it s great getting to create the whole history and backstory for Carson. Very little of acting is just
knowing your lines. There s a lot of stuff before hand and all the other work that you do. It s all
imagination and play. Thanks to my girlfriend, who s an amazing actor, taught me a lot of new ways to
create a backlight for the history of this character.
I know you have also modeled and it wasn t until later in life that you fully committed to acting. So
what made you leave modeling and purse acting full

Events and Impact of Irish Potato Famine Essay
Events and Impact of Irish Potato Famine.
The Irish farming population have been left counting the cost of the potato famine which has crippled
their harvest and left many starving to death. The British government must shoulder the blame after an
ineffective, slow and lacklustre effort to support the farmers and improve conditions.
The famine itself started in September 1845 when leaves on potato plants turned black and curled,
then rotted, seemingly as a result of fog which had wafted across the fields. This meant that potatoes
then rotted and became inedible.
The potato is the staple food of the Irish peoples diet, consumed with every meal. It had been known

heavy taxes and subsidies on imported grain. Before the repeal, large amounts of cheap, foreign grain
needed for Ireland would have been too expensive. English gentry and politicians however reacted
with outrage at the prospect of losing their price protections. These arguments overshadowed the more
important situation occurring in Ireland and the consequences of crop failure.
The shaky relief effort soon came under control of a 38 year old English civil servant named Charles
Edward Trevelyan. He was appointed to oversee the relief effort in Ireland. He was stubborn, self
righteous and made sure all communications were handed directly to him, meaning important
decisions became more and more delayed as his work mounted up. During the entire period of the
famine, Trevelyan would visit Ireland once, venturing no further than

The Pros And Cons Of Fiction
There is nothing better than reading an interesting book, staying up all night and reading a good,
fictional story until you fall asleep, and waking up early just to see how it end. A person s reason for
enjoying fiction can differ but it is almost for the fact that fiction can make the reader feel as if they
have been transported to another world. People read fiction for the curiosity and authors can
state/make points mixed with their own creativity. In class, we discuss authors and their messages
hidden through their story s plot. The author s plot is often just a background for what the writer is
really trying to get out to his audience.
In order to escape from the drama or reality of life and enter a more interesting one, people read
fiction to escape our world and enter someone else s. ...other times she needs to literally escape her
own thoughts. So she turns to books (Monica M Clarks). Taking a break from work and school and
taking time to just bury all your thoughts into a book is something that readers of all audiences would
agree sounds rather enjoyable. Fiction is like a finding all these alternate realities and each reality
bringing you into living through someone else s life.
Readers read fiction to understand people they haven t met and places they ve never visited. If a reader
were to compare a book and its movie , they would always agree that in the book, you know what the
protagonist is thinking and you know more about the character and have time

Comparing The Earth on Turtle s Back, When Grizzlies Walked Upright, And the Navajo Origin
Legend When this world came to being, there was no single explanation of its origin. Many Native
American tribes and other religious groups throughout the world created their own origin or creation
myths for the earth on a whole or just the people of the earth. The basis of these myths was cultural
and social beliefs of the many different tribes around the world. The Earth on Turtle s Back, When
Grizzlies Walked Upright, and The Navajo Origin Legend are the three creation myths by the
Onondaga, the Modoc, and the Navajo. Each of these myths are by far original and different, yet at the

animals that they needed to find land for her to rest on, which could only be brought from the bottom

can be seen when the small Muskrat was the only one who never gave up and made it to the bottom of
the sea. Women were given much respect; they were not only given the power to give birth to people,
but also gave birth to the earth. Sacrifice, shown by the turtle was a great example of cooperation and
team work even if their may not be personal gain from it. When Grizzlies Walked Upright is an origin
legend created by the Modoc. From the context of the myth, it can be seen that the Modoc gave great
importance to nature and wildlife. Even at times of conflict, the myth does not jump out and yell in
your face that there is trouble. It is written in a serene and orderly manner, from which it can be
inferred that the people of this tribe have the ability to keep calm. When the daughter of the Sky Spirit

Shiva s Iconography
As the most complex deity within the Hindu pantheon, Shiva is an extraordinarily important god.
Although equal to Vishnu and Brahman, Shiva is engulfed in an eternal paradox as a result of his
diverse characteristics. Furthermore, Shiva represents a variety of spiritual and domestic aspects of
Hindu culture. Importantly, Shiva embodies the energy of the universe as both creator and destroyer;
he is the ultimate construction of non duality. Further, Shiva s power and significance demonstrates
philosophical teachings as to the way in which certain aspects of Hindu life are constructed. To
illustrate, the iconography of Shiva incorporates identifying characteristics that are necessary to
understanding his relevance as a god, Shiva establishes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, it may appear as a paradox for one deity to be god of both creation and destruction. The key
to understanding this complex aspect of Shiva s power relies on the Hindu concept of the impossibility
of annihilation. The concept of the impossibility of annihilation suggests that when there is an absence
of non being and annihilation, all that is left is the transformation of states. This transformative energy
is regarded as ceaseless and infinite (Smith, 2). Death or destruction can be viewed as a result of a
transformational process after life, whereby life is the product of creation. To explain, death is a
rearrangement of indestructible atoms, and a gateway from one court of life to another. To destroy
therefore, is to practically to recreate, and Death stands at the gates of life (Martin, 167). In this sense,
all that lives within the realms of time are regarded as being in a state of constant transition and
change from life to death thus, the natural circle of life. When something is destroyed, it is recreated
with a new or different form. It is suggested that in efforts of purification, at the end of each era, Shiva
destroys the universe by fire (Doniger, 83). The universe must be destroyed in order for it to be
purified and renewed. Consequently, after the universe is destroyed, new life will is created.
Therefore, it is reasonable that Shiva be regarded as the

The Five Approaches And Models Of Consumer Behavior Theory
Consumer behavior theory which is also called utility theory. It is the theory which focus on studying
different groups of consumers decisions of selecting, purchasing, using, disposing various
products(Solomon, Bamossy et al., 2006; Schiffman ANDKanuk 2007). According to Bray, J. P. s
(2008)article which relates to the approaches and models of consumer behavior theory, it is said that
there are five theoretical approaches which would study consumer behavior theory, including
economic man, psychodynamic, behaviorist, cognitive and humanistic.
Economic man which explains that men would maximize the utility by using minimum effort based on
the indicators of cardinal usefulness. For human beings, when they make a decision, they would
consider kinds of aspects before the action, they may think about their own preferences, self economy
condition, the quality and the price of the product, and also the age, they would think whether it is
suitable for them etc and finally make a best choice. However, Psychodynamic is quite different from
the economic man, it is another factor which is influenced by consumers mentalities rather than the
external environment. The willingness of customers decision is from the depth of their heart not
someone else. Behaviorist is the opposition of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Personal Identity In The Overcoat And The Nose
In Gogol s The Overcoat , an every man apparently becomes something more by replacing his
overcoat. In Gogol s The Nose , a man is temporarily reduced to nothing upon literally losing his nose.
In both texts, the interplay of dreams and reality serve to highlight Gogol s issues with the fabric of
Russian society and personal identity by creating unconventional narration, a dynamic perspective,
and characterization.
In the beginning stages of both the The Overcoat and The Nose , the reader is introduced to the
respective protagonists through an unconventional first person narration. In both stories, the narrator
acknowledges the fourth wall and addresses the audience as if he were an external storyteller
verbalizing the respective stories ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Again, the transition in perspective makes the state of reality unclear, and serves to highlight the
supreme importance rank holds in Gogol s society. If The Nose was only told from Kovalyov s point
of view, for example, it may have been possible he hallucinated or dreamed the entire thing. By
initially making the perspective that of the barber, Gogol makes his story much more surreal; either
Kovalyov s nose is literally walking about St. Petersburg, or St. Petersberg is experiencing some kind
of surreal, shared phantasm. This surrealism allows Gogol to highlight the absurdity of the situation:
At first, the barber is afraid that he has found Kovalyov s nose, but after the nose is masquerading
about the streets with certain clothes and minor embellishments, it is treated with such reverence that
even Kovalyov treats his own nose as an official of higher rank. It is only when Kovalyov files a
report with the police that his nose is finally returned to him, and even then the police officer had
trouble recognizing the nose as not being a high ranking official. Through the surrealism brought
about by dynamic perspective, Gogol highlights the absurdity of how much his society focuses on
rank. While the interplay of dream and reality generate the dynamic, surrealist perspective in The
Nose and The Overcoat , the nature of dreams and reality also directly affects

Family Structure And Delinquency

behavior plays a major role in youth delinquency. Research has also distinguished gender difference
can make a big impact on the type of delinquent behavior. Boys and Girls both function entirely
different therefore behavior is different. This paper will reflect on explanations to why gender makes a
differences. We will also look at family structure and behavior as to how it influences delinquency
behavior. With this in mind, the delinquency rate for males, is higher than females. Years ago, females

to this by officials. The female was always viewed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Females that commit crimes also carry more of the male characteristics. In 1925, Cyril Burt linked
female delinquency to menstruation. William Healy and Augusta Bronner suggested that males
superior traits leads to delinquencies. Male delinquency focuses on aggression and superiority, where
as, females delinquency comes from repressed sexuality, gender conflict, and abnormal socialization.
Hormonal or chemical imbalances can lead to delinquency in either gender (Juvenile Delinquency,
2005). Looking further, family plays an important role in delinquency. Broken homes from divorce or
separation can cause a child to lash out with disruptive behavior. Family transitions such as moving,
financial instability, family roles, increased stress or conflict, can cause a child to become confused
and lash out. It is hard trying to raise a child on your own, and make a living. Single parents
sometimes neglect their children trying to provide for them. Adding to the family through a

Reflection Of Ecclesiastes
Ecclesiastes offers an interesting ontology in which human existence is vain and uncontrollable, and in
which the incomprehensible, unchangeable ways of God govern one s life. The story is recounted by a
Preacher, a wise man, who, having seen all work done beneath the sun, reports: that all is vanity , that
one s toils are meaningless, that nothing is new, and that one ought to live one s life enjoyably, for all
men die regardless of their labors. Above all, the Preacher s writing is personal; we can t help but feel
proximate to him, however negative his ontology may seem, because his writing is in the first person
and appeals to us (and humanity in general) directly. Below, I will evaluate Ecclesiastes, focusing
mostly on verses I:8 9 as they are particularly rich and amusing. Let s start by analyzing I:8 9: the first
clause of verse 8 (All words fail through weariness) may mean that the weariness of things cannot be
adequately expressed by words and that words fail because they cannot accurately describe the
weariness of things ( things being those natural phenomena described in verses I: 4 7 and labor in
general). Further, since man becomes speechless due to his inability to describe the weariness of
things with words, we must accept that his inability to describe these things is not caused by the
things, but by the words and therefore by him because it is man who creates the words which describe
the things. Therefore, if we are to accept this interpretation, we

Argument On Santa Clauses
Santa Claus was well known as a kind man who had a long white bread, wore big red white clothes
and carried children s gifts with his flying reindeers as a vehicle. Christians all around the world have
had Santa traditions since the 1820 s, which is lying children to believe in Santa, hang a sock on the
window, behave nicely and go to bed early so that Santa can come and give them presents
(Sleepypanda 2013). Until December 2016, psychologists claimed that Santa myth could destroy
children s trust to parents. All children will eventually find out they ve been consistently lied to for
years, and this might make them wonder what other lies they ve been told, (Boyle McKay 2016)
Based on my experience, when I was in elementary school, I remember the time that my English
teacher asked us to write postcard, she said that she would send the most beautiful postcard in the
class to Santa Clause, so we put high effort to create an outstanding postcard. They also asked us to
behave nicely for all day because Santa would come to the room and gave good children a present. In
that time, the reason I believed what they lied because I thought that teacher always teach student the

demanding to seek revenge, he becomes immensely destructive and unpleasant and he sooner or later
does not recognize who he is anymore. All of the main characters are offered redemption, but
Chillingworth is the only character that shuns it. He quickly lost all of his strength and energy and

during the civil war. At this time, Southern (Confederate) states tried to withdraw from the union.
Another example is how since the 1990s, Texas has had certain pleas to leave the nation and become

government is the terrorist group Al Qaeda. Not only do they oppose American government but they
really oppose all western countries governments. They are a radical group that believes that the
entirety of all governments will collapse when the U.S. falls and they consequently believe that these
governments need to be replaced and taken over by Al Qaeda leaders of the Sunni Islamic beliefs. I
believe that this is entirely severe and irrational. I do not think that all of their problems with the U.S.
are accurate however America certainly is not perfect either. On a slightly less severe note, another
group in today s society that opposes U.S. government is militia men. They believe that government
should be localized to individual counties and that these counties should be independent. They do not
believe that they should be burdened to pay federal taxes or that they should have to register vehicles
and any government duties that stray from local government. I do not believe that this is efficient for
the current world that we live in. We can learn from history, in the times of the middle ages when

The Health Care Economic Impact
Alzheimer s disease affects an astounding number of people in the U.S and majority of those are
senior citizens, which has a significant impact on the economics of the health care system. Many
people over 65 use Medicare insurance to pay for their Alzheimer s expenses, and some use Medicaid,
which puts the cost on the health care economy even higher. In 2015, the direct costs to American
society of caring for those with Alzheimer s specifically, will total an estimated 226 billion dollars,
with half of the costs paid by Medicare (Alzheimer s Association, 2015). Included in these costs are
expensive diagnostic testing, psychological evaluations, treatment and maintenance, nursing care,
medications and long term care facilities. In addition to the necessary cost involved in caring for the
patients, millions of dollars are put forth for research of this disease, because Scientists are still

When I first became concerned with what was going on in the world, I always turned to the News
Channel or a documentary to update me on that day s current event. I never opened a newspaper,
magazine, book etc. because I felt it was less time consuming, more intriguing and simpler to
understand if I listened to the story being spoken rather than reading it. Due to this class and our
weekly article assignments, I realized it is much more stimulating to open up a newspaper or print out
an article to read rather than watch a television screen to inform me on what is going on in the world.
Not only did this class help me appreciate reading more, but it also taught me the real meaning behind
key terms and cases that can help me make better use of the article I am reading rather than trying to
understand what the story is. I truly believe these article assignments caused a major positive impact
on my reading abilities, understanding and use of the context and all around better knowledge on what
is going on regarding current events. Since I was a child, I was never big on reading because my mind
would wander off to different places and I would lose track of my reading. When Professor Varner

The New England Patriots Played Against The Indianapolis...
Introduction
During the 2015 AFC Championship, the New England Patriots played against the Indianapolis Colts
on January 18th in the Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA. Prior to halftime, however, the Colts
brought suspicions of the Patriots having deflated their balls. They requested the pressures be checked
at halftime. Two referees, Blakeman and Prioleau, each measured the pressure of both the Patriots and
the Colts balls with separate gauges. The Officials came to the conclusion that all 11 of the patriots
balls were underinflated, the required pressure being between 27.2 28.2 pounds per square inch (psi).
Footballs from the colts were also being tested and appeared to be in the accepted range. This situation
was temporarily postponed so the game could continue. The balls were filled to regulation pressure
before restarting. The patriots went on to win 45 7.
Shortly after, the media began to question the cause of the footballs being deflated. Detractors came to
the conclusion they were merely deflated on purpose, while supporters thought they may have been
affected by the cold temperatures that day, which were in the high forties. This lead to the NFL hiring
the independent law firm, PWRWG, to further investigate.
PWRWG is a science law firm which was assigned to determine if the footballs could infact have been
affected by the weather alone. Using the universal gas law to solve for moles (n), it will be determined
if gas was released.

  • 2. For Colored Girls Movie Essay For Colored Girls, directed by Tyler Perry is, in my opinion, a great drama that was released in 2010. Perry gathered some of the most prominent Black actors and actresses to display scenarios that women, particularly those of color, go through on a daily basis. There are multiple problems facing these women and although they all live in a different world and face all different problems, somehow they all are intertwined with one another. Janet Jackson plays Joanna. Being a successful business woman is not always a good thing because she appears to be a snob and someone who only cares for herself. On top of many people not liking her, she faces problems with her estranged husband and ends up getting the HIV virus from him. Arika Rose plays as Yasmine, a dance instructor. With her love life she was usually uptight, but she finally let her guard down for a man. In return, this man tha5t she got comfortable with betrayed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Being that it is a drama, the viewer is supposed to be able to feel the emotion of the movie. Tyler Perry did a phenomenal job of making that happen. Everything seemed so real. Rape, domestic violence, and infidelity are just a few problems that the characters in the film had to go through. These are all problems that many people can relate to. Seeing all the sad endings made me cry. Knowing that the plot could be a reality for an actual person around me made the movie so much better. For example, Nyla s young pregnancy, Joanna s husband s infidelity, Yasmine s rape, Crystal with the death of her children, physical, mental abuse, and dealing with the fact that her husband struggled with PTSD are all issues that real people deal with. This made the emotion of the movie come out so much more than if Tyler Perry would have presented issues that are not so common. It makes you feel for the characters in the movie. Also, the acting that the actresses and actors did made the emotion so much ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

To build the new human resources system properly, information must be collected from various areas of Riordan Manufacturing, and the information will be collected in a variety of ways. The interviews will be recorded and notes will be taken so the interviewer and build a plan and determine the system requirements of the new human resource system. It is crucial that the interviews and interview questions be well structured to gain the highest quality of information gathered during the interviews. The quality of information gathered is just as important as the quantity as described by Havelka and Sooun (2002): Interaction between users and IS personnel was described as the quantity and quality of communication and the amount of group activities performed, including feedback from and to one another during the process . Proper communication and collaboration is critical in the beginning phases for collecting and large quantity of good quality information. Along with interviewing, it would be beneficial to hold a JAD (Joint Application development) session with the stakeholders so everyone may come together and share their opinions and knowledge of the system. While a JAD session may have high costs, the benefits of a JAD session are very high as the session enables analysts, developers and the stakeholders to come together and work towards the design of the new system. Bringing all the users in a room together helps the analysts and developers greatly understand the needs of the new system as discussed ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. Victoria De Zwaan Midnight s Children Victoria de Zwaan is a professor of experimental fiction, film theory, and adaptation studies at Trent University in Ontario, Canada, and argues in this article that while fidelity studies could be considered a stagnated and outdated vain of research in adaptation theory, it can be examined from various angles to achieve a deeper understanding of the source text instead of cutting up both sources only to fight one other for superiority; in this case Zwaan uses the film, Midnight s Children, to expand upon her theory. Zwaan takes note of George Bluestone s capstone work, Novels into Film, and states that most of the work done, outside of his book, on the subject was merely a mode to break down the film adaptation and highlight the lack of justice ... He was put in jail when he wrote this letter for peacefully protesting for justice for African Americans. Dr. Luther writes about what he did and why he did the things he did. In his letter he doesn t just focus his bias opinion on the African American culture and the horrific treatment that they have been given from the whites. No, his letter gives you an insight on a wide variety of perspectives of people about his feelings towards justice. He references many historical theologians and biblical characters who would have done just as he has done. This letter was widely used during the American Civil Rights Movement during ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Luther has said in his letter was very persuasive to me. Dr. Luther was a very intelligent man that was shown throughout the letter based on the words that he chose and the power that was amplified. I love how he is not asking for revenge or sorrow of the things he has done but rather he is expressing his thoughts and feelings through a calm and peaceful manner. He mentions how he was called an extremist and at first and how he was offended but then later he took pride in that name. Dr. Luther references how in the bible Jesus was an extremist for love and glory from God. He also says that we are all extremist in one way or another. I have never heard that phrase in a positive way before. This is my favorite part of his letter he says, the question is not whether we will be extremists, but what kind of extremists we will be. Will we be extremists for hate or for love? Will we be extremists for the preservation of injustice or for the extension of justice? Again this shows the level of commitment that he has for this cause that he his willing to write in this radical type of thinking and publish it for the civil rights ... Summary Of Entropy By Thomas Pynchon In Thomas Pynchon s Entropy the American society is through two different extremes through the narratives of Meatball Mulligan and Callisto to identify the chaos and heat death of the American society. Through the chaos it is evident that the breakdown of communication is present and how communication is failing in the American society. The breakdown of communication in this short story is shown through the communication theory, the chaos that emerges from Mulligan s party, and the heat death of the universe. The uniformity that is created through this party of people coming for the sole purpose of this party and lacking communication discourages real communication. Pynchon shows that communication is only there when people try to reach out to each other to create some sort of understanding however when Meatball tries to communicate with Duke, Duke insists that Meatball remains quiet (733). When trying to communicate with each other a sense of individuality and order is expected however through Meatball s apartment the sense of the American individual lacking communication is present. It is evident that in Meatball s world the communication has failed as he started to think to himself about [the] two ways he could cope: (a) lock himself in the closet and maybe eventually they would all go away, or (b) try to calm everybody down, one by one (735). Meatball did not want to deal with the chaos that was unfolding and in order to do that he had to take care of each individual that was there. However the chaos was already present as the people who were at his apartment were somehow locked in their own worlds like Americans at that time due to the failure of communication. The failure to communicate is also seen when the jazz group Duke Di Angelis Quartet thought of their music to themselves when they were going through the motions of a group having a session, only without instruments (733). Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, it may appear as a paradox for one deity to be god of both creation and destruction. The key to understanding this complex aspect of Shiva s power relies on the Hindu concept of the impossibility of annihilation. The concept of the impossibility of annihilation suggests that when there is an absence of non being and annihilation, all that is left is the transformation of states. This transformative energy is regarded as ceaseless and infinite (Smith, 2). Death or destruction can be viewed as a result of a transformational process after life, whereby life is the product of creation. To explain, death is a rearrangement of indestructible atoms, and a gateway from one court of life to another. To destroy therefore, is to practically to recreate, and Death stands at the gates of life (Martin, 167). In this sense, all that lives within the realms of time are regarded as being in a state of constant transition and change from life to death thus, the natural circle of life. • 31. Reflection Of Ecclesiastes Ecclesiastes offers an interesting ontology in which human existence is vain and uncontrollable, and in which the incomprehensible, unchangeable ways of God govern one s life. The story is recounted by a Preacher, a wise man, who, having seen all work done beneath the sun, reports: that all is vanity , that one s toils are meaningless, that nothing is new, and that one ought to live one s life enjoyably, for all men die regardless of their labors. Above all, the Preacher s writing is personal; we can t help but feel proximate to him, however negative his ontology may seem, because his writing is in the first person and appeals to us (and humanity in general) directly. Below, I will evaluate Ecclesiastes, focusing mostly on verses I:8 9 as they are particularly rich and amusing. Let s start by analyzing I:8 9: the first clause of verse 8 (All words fail through weariness) may mean that the weariness of things cannot be adequately expressed by words and that words fail because they cannot accurately describe the weariness of things ( things being those natural phenomena described in verses I: 4 7 and labor in general). Further, since man becomes speechless due to his inability to describe the weariness of things with words, we must accept that his inability to describe these things is not caused by the things, but by the words and therefore by him because it is man who creates the words which describe the things. Therefore, if we are to accept this interpretation, we ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Not only do they oppose American government but they really oppose all western countries governments. They are a radical group that believes that the entirety of all governments will collapse when the U.S. falls and they consequently believe that these governments need to be replaced and taken over by Al Qaeda leaders of the Sunni Islamic beliefs. I never opened a newspaper, magazine, book etc. because I felt it was less time consuming, more intriguing and simpler to understand if I listened to the story being spoken rather than reading it. Due to this class and our weekly article assignments, I realized it is much more stimulating to open up a newspaper or print out an article to read rather than watch a television screen to inform me on what is going on in the world. Introduction During the 2015 AFC Championship, the New England Patriots played against the Indianapolis Colts on January 18th in the Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA. Prior to halftime, however, the Colts brought suspicions of the Patriots having deflated their balls. They requested the pressures be checked at halftime. Two referees, Blakeman and Prioleau, each measured the pressure of both the Patriots and the Colts balls with separate gauges. The Officials came to the conclusion that all 11 of the patriots balls were underinflated, the required pressure being between 27.2 28.2 pounds per square inch (psi). Footballs from the colts were also being tested and appeared to be in the accepted range. This situation was temporarily postponed so the game could continue. The balls were filled to regulation pressure before restarting. The patriots went on to win 45 7. Shortly after, the media began to question the cause of the footballs being deflated. Detractors came to the conclusion they were merely deflated on purpose, while supporters thought they may have been affected by the cold temperatures that day, which were in the high forties. This lead to the NFL hiring the independent law firm, PWRWG, to further investigate. PWRWG is a science law firm which was assigned to determine if the footballs could infact have been affected by the weather alone.
