This document provides information about improving writing instruction and proficiency. It discusses how implementing a K-12 writing curriculum following the workshop model can increase the amount and quality of writing, coordinate writing instruction, and improve test scores and life skills. Key aspects of the workshop model are highlighted, including a daily mini-lesson, independent writing time with teacher conferencing, and sharing.
