Since moving in with Manning, Victoria had become at times incontinent of urine and a began to
spend her nights in an unheated and unlit bathroom. Very little is known about the last four months of
Victoria s life. Victoria continued to be forced to sleep in the bath, and was tied up inside a black
plastic sack. By the beginning of 2000 Victoria was also being given her food on a piece of plastic in
the bathroom and because her hands were tied up she was forced to eat it like a dog. She was abused
and tortured there in many different ways. By 19 February 2000 Victoria had become very ill. On 24
February 2000, Victoria Climbie was taken semi conscious and suffering from hypothermia, multiple
organ failure and malnutrition, to the local Universal Church of the Kingdom of God church. She was
sent by a mini cab straight to the accident and emergency department at North Middlesex Hospital,
from where she was then transferred to the intensive care unit at St Mary s Hospital. Victoria died the
