Explain The Four Temperaments
ïł The four temperaments categorises personality into four types: sanguine, choleric, melancholic and
phlegmatic. ïł Four temperaments is a proto psychological theory that believes that individuals are
one of the four personality types. ïł In Ancient Greece, these four temperaments are linked to the four
body humors (blood, yellow bile, black bile and phlegm). These four humors are also believed to be
linked with the four elements (air, fire, earth and water). ïł It was theorised that an unproportioned
amount of these fluids resulted in sickness and disease. A well balanced amount of all the humors
resulted in a healthy body and mind. Disproportion of one of the four humor fluids determined the
personality type of the individual. ïł Humoral theory

Theory Of Planned Behavior Theory Paper
Another relevant theory in this area is the theory of planned behavior (TPB), developed by Ajzen and
Fishbein (1980). TPB states that intention is the proximal determinant of behavior and is determined
by three constructs: attitude (viewed as a positive or negative evaluation towards performing a
behavior); subjective norm (which is the perception of the beliefs of important others); perceived
behavioral control (which describes one s perception of the amount of control they have in performing
the behavior) (France, France, Himawan, 2007; Giles, McClenahan, Cairns, Mallet, 2004). It is of note
that while perceived behavioral control has often been equated with Bandura s concept of self efficacy
many have argued that the constructs are not equal, since self efficacy is more concerned with
cognitive perceptions of control based on internal control factors (Ajzen, 1991; Armitage Conner,
2001; Giles Cairns, 1995). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The TPB has been widely applied to the blood donation context to understand return behavior and
previous research shows that approximately 31% to 72% of the variance in intention and between 54
56% of the variance in blood donation behavior can be predicted by attitude, subjective norms,
perceived behavioral control, and/or self efficacy (Ferguson, France, Abraham, Ditto, Sheeran, 2007;

Constructivism And The Theory Of Constructivism
We have all been guilty of doing it, making assumptions about someone based on what we have seen
or been through. We see a person or an object and classify it as tall, wealthy, ugly, pretty, etc.
Categorizing what we see can be helpful but sometimes it can lead to stereotyping. But why do we
make assumptions? The theory of Constructivism can help us understand why we categorize things we
see into constructs and how these constructs can be harmful and how they can benefit or hurt us when
we communicate with others. The theory of constructivism helps explain how meaning can be
developed through interactions we have. The basis of the theory was started by George Kelly who was
a main author in the Personal Construct Theory. This theory discussed insight and how it can be
gained by people s interactions and perceptions and how they use their observations to make
attributions. It claimed that individuals understand the world around them by organizing and
recognizing people and events by their personal constructs they create. Personal constructs can be
explained as sets of opposites into which objects are classified (Lee 2016) such as rich poor, cheap
expensive, etc. This helped pave the way for constructivism, which reasons that people classify their
experiences into groups so they can help give meaning to it and can make sense of the situation.
According to Jessie Delia (1982), one of the main leaders in the theory, action is guided by context
relevant interactions and

Mary Wollstonecraft s The Vindication Of The Rights Of Woman
Mary Wollstonecraft s fought for equity for women and was especially passionate about educating
women. In her readings, there has been numerous of topics she had raised and one of the most stood
out topic for me was her judgement towards education for females. This part of the aspect has brought
to my attention that it needs further discussion with my peer to discuss how some of Wollstonecraft s
judgement relevant to the lives of women today.
Wollstonecraft was born in London and is second of seven sibling in her family. In her readings, it
showed that she was a very intelligent and talented women who strive for success. During her life
stage, she had plenty of struggles with every aspect of her live but that did not stop her from being a
writer, philosopher or even an activist. One of the main key point Wollstonecraft raised was how girls
should be educated, she believed she was a great educational thinker and could help women to fight
for equal rights. In the Vindication of the rights of woman that Wollstonecraft published, she argued
that in order for women to develop morally, boys and girls should be educated together with the same
subjects. Girls should be taught how to reason and be given more to think other than how they dress
(Wollstonecraft, 1976). She claimed that women in her society had been pressure to adopt in the male
s society therefore an academic education is needed to allow people to become more aware of what is
happening on the world (Todd, 1989). In

Analysis Of Buttons By Carl Sandburg
Attempting to explain a unique experience to another person is a nearly impossible task; adding in that
they had previously held opposing thoughts on your experience causes a gap between actuality and the
understanding of the receiver. In Buttons , Carl Sandburg faces this problem as he narrates the realities
of war while covering how those without the experience regarded it with oversimplification. Sandburg
conveys the message showing the disconnect of war between the soldiers in action and civilians at
home to share the horrors of war for those without the experience. As if possessing a natural ability in
poetic writing was not enough, Carl Sandburg added a unique angle to his pieces. Raised in a poor
environment and family, Sandburg quickly lost his identity within the masses and aimlessly roamed as
a hobo through various states. At the ripe young age of 20, he volunteered to serve in the Spanish
American War. This stood as one of the most important decisions in his life as it both built his
character and later gave way to his writing career as well. During the eight months Sandburg was
stationed in Puerto Rico, he was never called to fight on the front lines; still, he trained and prepared
in the case that such a time would come. Regardless of not serving directly, Sandburg still witnessed
some of the horrendous tragedies other soldiers went through and expanded on his own personal
anecdotes revealing that the environment the soldiers were in was very trying in and of

Causes Of Operation Rolling Thunder
March 2nd, 1965 November 1st, 1968, was the time that an aerial bombardment was unleashed upon
North Vietnam. The American bombing campaign was code named, Operation Rolling Thunder.
During this time over 7 million tons of bombs were dropped in Vietnam. These air strikes that lasted
for little over 3 years has caused over 90,000 casualties with at least 72,000 being civilians of
Vietnam. And due to operational circumstances, over 900 U.S aircrafts were lost and 745 crewmen
were shot down.
There was a huge cost following Operation Rolling Thunder , with an estimated $300 million of
physical damage dealt in Vietnam. The cost to the U.S estimating at $900 million. Originally the cost
shouldn t have been that high, because the attacks were supposed to last only 8 weeks, but ended up
lasting 3 years. The main objective of Operation Rolling Thunder , was to demoralize the North
Vietnam people and to undermine the capacity of the government. Although the cost was effective, the
attacks weren t, as the Vietnamese came up with an effective defense for the bombing raids, with
assistance from China and The Soviet Union. By using surface to air missiles and radar controlled anti
aircraft artillery, the Vietnamese were able to shoot down American planes over the course of the
bombing campaigns. Thus, leading to a stalemate, where Vietnam was damaged, but so was the U.S.
The Operation Rolling Thunder campaign expanded little by little in range and extremity. In the

Morals, Ethics, And The Significance Of Law
The kind of values we hold dear to our lives, likewise in which impact how individuals including
myself figure out how to view morals, ethics, and the significance of law, just originates from how we
precisely utilized know them from amid our youth and adolescent years. As per Goodpaster (1983),
individuals view morals as an area of request and control, in which matters of good and bad, great and
insidiousness, ideals and bad habit, are deliberately analyzed. These matters as Goodpaster has noted

What Is The Cobra Effect
There is a solution to every problem . A common phrase every one of us must have heard atleast once
in our lives. Does every problem require a solution? What if the solution to the problem ends up
making the problem even worse? Such a situation in Economics is often referred to as The Cobra
Effect .
The term Cobra effect comes from an anecdote from colonial India. British, during their reign in India,
had observed something peculiar and mysterious in their attempt at solving the growing crisis of
increasing Cobra population in the northern part of their colony. The British, in their surge of curbing
the increasing population of Cobras, placed a bounty on the heads of cobras to help eradicate them.
Initially, their plan worked. Population of cobras declined. However, their happiness was short lived as
the population sky rocketed, to the utter dismay and astonishment of the Englishmen. Shocking
observations of a British General revealed that families were raising broods of cobras in their homes
to earn the bounty from their heads and feed themselves from their remaining carcasses. This is an
example of a perverse incentive where the incentive for the behaviour actually made the problem
worse.
Classical economists believed or rather assumed the fact that human beings ... Show more content on

The Mexican Cartel On A Global Scale
The Mexican Cartel on a Global scale
The Mexican drug cartel is a major actor on the world scene. Even though it is not seen this way by
the general public, those who pay attention know how far their reach is. The Mexican cartel has
expanded. There seems to be no sign of them slowing. They have the perfect storm of money, military
backing, political connections and Public intimidation. Their empire is growing by the minute.
Unfortunately most people have not given these ruthless criminals the attention they deserve. They
have direct impact on people around the world. This paper will explain various aspects the groups and
explain why more light needs to be shed on them To begin, one major point to start with is there is
more than one cartel. Fox news reports that there are somewhere between sixty and eighty small and
medium cartels. Business Insider lists seven major cartels. They go as follows the Juarez cartel, The
knights of Templar, The Gulf, the Tijuana Cartel, The Beltran Leyva Organization and the two most
notorious the Los Zetas and the Sinaloa Cartel. The Los Zetas are known for their cruelty. Murder,
kidnapping, and torture are routine for them. They often use these tactics to intimidate the public. The
Sinaloa cartel, is known for its money and power. They have monopolized drug trafficking in Chicago
and the leader is so powerful he mysteriously escaped prison. Each cartel is different however they all
have the basic goal to gain monetary assets. To expand, Los

Negative Effects Of The Negative Media
The Negative Media The media s the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the
innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that s power. Because they control the minds of

the Constitution s Bill of Rights protects citizens rights to obtain and publish information and their

According to Gottfried and Shearer, A majority of U.S. adults 62% get news on social media, and 18%
do so often...Two thirds of Facebook users (66%) get news on the site, nearly six in ten Twitter users
(59%) get news on Twitter, and seven in ten Reddit users get news on that platform (Gottfried and
Shearer). The vast majority of adults receive their media updates on unreliable social media interfaces.
Social media platforms are unreliable because they allow for the creation of fake accounts. Accounts
are set up utilizing similarities in logos and names for the sole purpose of disseminating fake stories
and news. Fake news is more present in today s society due to the frequent use of social media
platforms as a quick source of current events. This increased use of online sites for information allows
for an escalation in misinformation as a result of the establishment of fake news websites resulting in a
negative effect on society. While fake news is a growing issue in media and the freedom of the press,
discrimination is a topic that has always bore a negative effect on society. Discrimination is prevalent
in every type of media interface. Cambridge Dictionary defines discrimination as the treatment of a
person or particular group of people differently, in a way that is worse than the way people are usually
treated ( Discrimination ). Discrimination can be by race, age, or gender. All are equally prevalent

The Lord s Preparing The First Generation
1. In section one of Numbers which is the Lord s Preparing the First Generation to Enter the Promised
Land covered in chapters one through ten there seems to a very specific message that God desires to
communicate to the original audience. Although various opinions may exist regarding what this
message may be the clearest message that appears to be displayed is that God has various ordinances
and rules regarding the worship, day to day life, and travel of the Israelite nation which set them apart
from the nations around them and must be strictly followed and adhered to. Chapter two of Numbers
gives an account of the organization of the camp of the Israelites after they had been numbered by
tribe. Each tribe had a specific leader, a specific head of each group of three thirds, and a specific
location in which they were supposed to camp relative to the tabernacle. The purpose for all of this
was set out by God in order to protect the ark and the tabernacle along with encampment as a whole
from the presence of God and invaders who sought to raid the encampment. Chapters three and four
along with seven, eight, nine, and ten all have to do very specifically with the roles of the Levities and
tabernacle worship and the very strict guidelines that applied to both of these. The Kohathite clan of
the Levities which was to transport the sacred articles of the tabernacle was not permitted to ever see

Hansel Short Story
Near a great forest there lived a poor woodcutter and his wife, and his two children; the boy s name
was Hansel and the girl s Grethel. They had very little to bite or to sup, and once, when there was
great dearth in the land, the man could not even gain the daily bread. As he lay in bed one night
thinking of this, and turning and tossing, he sighed heavily, and said to his wife, What will become of
us? we cannot even feed our children; there is nothing left for ourselves.
I will tell you what, husband, answered the wife; we will take the children early in the morning into
the forest, where it is thickest; we will make them a fire, and we will give each of them a piece of
bread, then we will go to our work and leave them alone; they will never find the way home again,
and we shall be quit of them.
No, wife, said the man, I cannot do that; I cannot find in my heart to take my children into the forest
and to leave them there alone; the wild animals would soon come and devour them. O you fool, said
she, then we will all four starve; you had better get the coffins ready, and she left him no peace until
he consented. But I really pity the poor children, said the man.
The two children had not been able to sleep for hunger, and had heard what their step mother had said
to their father. Grethel wept bitterly, and said to Hansel, It is all over with us.

Teen Pregnancy
Suddenly teen pregnancy IS cool?
1. Teen pregnancy is up partly because there is less of a stigma associated with teen pregnancy since
there is more of a cultural permission to be a younger mother. The rise is also partly due to the
portrayal of celebrity teens such as Jamie Lynn Spears in the media and other cultural shifts, giving
teens the idea that having a baby is the new handbag .
2. The reason the authors use allusion in the first paragraph is to show the readers that teen pregnancy
is becoming a trend amongst celebrities and its sweeping teen culture along with it. Whether or not the
average teen thinks unplanned pregnancy is fashionable, there are numerous celebrity and pop culture

Paragraph 25 latest accessory in Hollywood protruding bellies .having a baby is the new handbag
The author in the article is comparing the latest style to pregnancy. Media is portraying that pregnancy
is the latest trend and it is popular amongst cool celebrities. The author goes on to compare babies as
the new handbag, making it seem like carrying a baby is like carrying the most fashionable handbag. It
makes teens feel as if it s hip and they should go get one like it s a fashion accessory.
b) Irony
Paragraph 1 I didn t believe it because Jamie Lynn s always been so conscientious. She s never late for
her curfew.
This is ironic because Jamie Lynn is the not conscientious; infact she is very irresponsible. If she was
careful she would have been able to prevent her pregnancy at such an early age.
Paragraph 2 just 16, who matter of factly chooses to have a baby and an open adoption rather than
an abortion. No big deal.
This is ironic because the author is using the movie Juno as an example to Jamie Lynn s situation,
making it seem like teenage pregnancy is not that big of a deal. When everyone found out that Juno
was pregnant in the movie they were very unrealistic about it and not freaking out like most families
would do. However, the readers know that teen pregnancy is a very big deal in our society and there
are a lot of drawbacks that come with it. Most

The Boxing Day Tsunami And The Real World Tsunami
Tsunamis are unfortunate events that humanity will have to deal with for eternity. They one of the
most versatile forms of a natural disaster, as they can be caused by a rockslide, underwater earthquake,
certain volcanic eruptions, or a high velocity impact of a sizeable object within a body of water (1).
The media and scientific research has done a sufficient job in covering real world tsunamis and relief
efforts, which in turn has help trigger natural human curiosity regarding the subject. The film industry
has capitalized off of this, and has made a numerous amount of movies either based on, or featuring
these devastating waves. As depicted through real events and in the movies, tsunamis generally
behave in the same manner, yet each one has a different speed and height due to various factors.
Furthermore, every location of possible impact treats the way they prepare and react to a disaster
differently. Through the examination of the real life Boxing Day Tsunami, and the fictional tsunami in
Roar Uthaug s The Wave, these claims can be further expanded upon and reinforced.
December 26, 2004 is a date that will live in infamy, and has personal value for millions of people
around the world. What started out as a fine day in Southeast Asia, would turn into a catastrophic
nightmare that would go on to be dubbed the Boxing Day Tsunami. The tsunami was triggered by an

Mir34a Essay
MiR34a inhibits AÎČ fibril uptake and autophagy flux
Regarding the compromised capability of AÎČ clearance in AD, we suspected that miR34a may be an
indispensable player. To validate this, AÎČ42 fibrils were prepared from AÎČ42 monomer ex vivo and
used to treat glioma A172 and U251 cells. AÎČ uptake was blocked by both transient transfection of a
miR34a mimic and stable miR34a overexpression (Supplementary Fig. 1B, Fig. 1A), but enhanced by
anti miR34a (Fig. 1B), indicating that miR34a suppressed AÎČ phagocytosis in these cells. The fact that
enhanced and decreased levels of miR34a correlated with corresponding changes in intracellular AÎČ
supports the notion that miR34a may slow down AÎČ clearance by affecting its AÎČ uptake and
degradation. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since mature autophagosome fuse with lysosomes to become autolysosome in the very late stage of
autophagy, we asked whether miR34a could retard autophagosome lysosome fusion by examining the
co localization of EGFP LC3 and LysoTracker Red, a specific dye for live cell lysosome labeling [47].
As expected, EGFP LC3 puncta were dramatically reinforced in miR34a mimic transfected cells but
did not co localize with LysoTracker Red. This was acting similar to cells treated with baïŹlomycin A1
(Baf), which blocked autophagosome lysosome fusion. In contrast, E64D treatment induced a
remarkable increased EGFP LC3 puncta, which were well co localized with LysoTracker Red (Fig.
1D). Since lysosome associated membrane glycoprotein 2 (LAMP2) is also critical for autophagosome
lysosome fusion [48], we examined the effect of miR34a on LAMP2 expression using WB analysis.
MiR34a caused an unexpected increase of LAMP2 (Supplementary Fig. 1C), suggesting that the
mechanism by which miR34a blocked autophagosome lysosome fusion was not due to LAMP2. As
LAMP2 is mostly important for chaperone mediated autophagy, its increase might be a compensation
for the decrease in macroautophagy. In summary, the above results reinforce that miR34a
compromised AÎČ degradation by, at least, blocking autolysosome formation.

Uniform policies should begin to be mandatory for junior high students through the end of the high
school tenure. A traditional school uniform may include, White button down shirts and ties for boys,
pleated skirts for girls and blazers adorned with the school logo for all. Another school may simply
require that all shirts have collars (Wilde). This simple and built to last outfit can help students stay
focused on education rather than worrying about their clothing choices. Politician and former
presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, believes introducing school uniforms is a productive way to
implement the focus on learning and limit the attention on what the students are wearing ( Should

children regarding what the child will be wearing to school (Kouzmine). School uniforms are not just
easier for parents, the uniforms also make mornings easier for students. Along with reducing
arguments and stress, school uniforms encourage unity in the halls while providing discipline.
Uniforms in schools could help make the school a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

How To Write An Essay About The Battle Of Bataan
The Battle of Bataan: The Japanese Arrive What brought America into World War II was the attack on

Chipotle Supply And Demand
Whenever the term economics come up the two terms that seem to be put together are supply and
demand. Supply and demand is the amount of a commodity, product, or service available and the
desire of buyers for it considered as factors for regulating its price. This concept is important, because
without it producers don t know how much of their product to make and what to price it at. Chipotle a
Mexican grill is an establishment that has been open since 1933. This was a small business until
McDonalds became an investor in their company in 1998 and their was no looking back from then.
Their expansion was rapid leaving more room for mistakes. This Mexican grill was quite popular until
it had a fall out with a contaminate in their meat in December of 2015. The contaminate that was
found was E.coli. E.coli is a powerful contaminate and has the power to kill someone. Chipotle had
several outbreaks where their meat was contaminated and as a result that caused customers to not want
to go their in fear of being contaminated. The supply was their, but the demand for the food quickly
plummeted causing the company to lose lots of profit. As a result the company has been spending
millions to try and regain their customers. Supply and demand is a concept that is very important for
the development of any company; to maximize sales you must have plenty of both with supply having

Donald Trump Propaganda
As a civilization, trends come and go, what people perceived as cool back then like wearing parachute
pants may not seem so likely today. These trends blow up and die out as quickly as they come, but to
become the kid who fit in you had to follow these trends. What causes these uproars in popularity are
propaganda or campaigns that outline the subject in a positive or negative manner.Lately all across
social media political propaganda has been branding Donald Trump an anti hero, and a degenerate, but
can this propaganda backfire in a way that is good for Donald Trump? Is this free publicity in favor of
him?

More than any other candidate, Trump has understood how deeply rooted these feelings have become
and he has successfully built an entire campaign around them. If Democrats think they will have an
easy time stopping him in the fall, they might want to take a closer look at the characters who have
been attracting the masses in recent years. I feel as though Zelizer s opinion upon the situation is
partially right, but I believe Trump has gained the population s vote, and has sustained loyal members
of his political party, by being a truthful candidate. Unlike other candidate s Trump speaks the cold
hard truth most of the time, whereas other people like Hillary Clinton fluff up the truth not exposing
how critical situations have become in the world. In this case trump is the anti hero and Hillary is the
hero, people don t want to live in a fictionalized world made up of lies promised by the candidate, they
want the real world and action done now, and they know Trump is going to be a dynamic character if

Evaluation Of The Layout And Content Of My Brochure
Unit 12 Evaluation for the Brochure
I will evaluate the layout and content of my brochure against the client brief. The page layout for each
page is A4. At first I divided the pages into three section. However, it didn t look as appealing. The
purpose of this is because I wanted to ensure the information and the sizes of the images fills the page.
This is because I wanted to make it more different and appealing. The information is placed in a
rectangular or square box. It fits the whole A4 page. The point size of the texts varies this depends if it
is the subheading, heading or body text. Also, the sizes of the shapes are diverse. This depends on the
information and how big the images are. Also, there are images placed in the box, which I will further
discuss.
The front cover of the Newcastle Tours brochure as stated earlier is an A4 page. This page is simpler
due to it being the front cover and is 21 cm x 29.7cm. I decided to add the social networks at the
bottom of the page and information at the centre of the page, along with the logo at the top of the
brochure. I don t have a particular layout as I wanted to make it more individual and more appealing.
The colour of the text in all the pages is white and black. The purpose of this is because the
background is mainly dark blue and white so black and white will contrast with the background
colours. These colours were also used to meet the brief.
Moreover, the text styles used are Calibri Corbel. All these font

Theory Of Property Rights By Harold Demsetz
Theory of Property Rights By Harold Demsetz (UChicago)
The concept and role of property rights
It this first part, Demsetz offers a more theoretical foundation for the concepts he will use in the
following parts. The author starts defining the idea of property rights and differentiating how they
transmit the right to benefit or harm oneself or others. After, he links it with the recognition a close
relationship between property rights and externalities. The process of Internalizing such effects refers
to a change in property rights, that enables these effects to bear (in greater degree) on all interacting
persons. They become part of the economy.
The example of the military draft is used later to show how the costs of internalization have to be
higher to its gains. The lower the cost the greater the number of transactions and the degree to which
they take place.
Lastly, in this section, Demsetz defines the framework of his analysis, what would happen if
transaction costs of internalizing were zero? There are two main implications, on the first one he states
that the output mix is efficient for all players involved. Secondly, that the mix is independent of who is
assigned the ownership.

After the theoretical framework, we can read how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Review Of The Interlopers
Katelyn Lindsay Mr. Titherley World Literature Honors Period Five 25 September 2017 First Draft of
Interlopers
Blinded by Beliefs Saki, in The Interlopers, says that because our family plays an important role in
who we are, we choose to see only evil in our enemies for the sake of our kin, our blood, until the
threat of death opens us to more options. We choose to imitate certain individuals whose beliefs we
associate with more than others. More likely than not, the individuals we choose to imitate are our
close relatives; they often have a bigger impact on our mentality than someone merely acquainted with
us. Because we are raised with them frequently present in our lives, we tend to inherit the same
qualities and

The beliefs that we adopt, excluding those crafted with a significant purpose in mind, limit our
perspective and blinds us from seeing other possibilities. Once we adopt a vision or belief, whether it
be about a person or event, we tend to refrain from all other perspectives that have the power to
contradict our own. Ulrich and Georg were brought into the feud as enemies at a young age. Even as
boys they had thirsted for one another s blood, and this disposition stuck with them for as men each
prayed that misfortune might fall on the other, (6). Their families view of each other, being such a
prevalent part of their childhood, had influenced them to show the same hatred as well. Instead of
outgrowing the childish behavior they developed by watching their families quarrel, the men continue
to see themselves as enemies, even developing a stronger dislike for them. While searching the strip of
forest for Georg, Ulrich finds himself face to face with the man he sought, and now they stand, glaring
at one another for a long silent moment until they are pinned underneath a fallen beech tree (7). The
men physically see each other, glare at each other, but neither is given time to speak. Their long silent
moment interrupted by a chaotic act of nature leaves Georg blinded with the blood which trickled

Carmichael s Theory Of Black Power
More than fifty years after two simple words black and power captured the nations attention, many
people still struggle with what to make of them. The concept of Black Power, despite being around for
decades, still elicits ambivalent reactions in different groups of people ranging from outright
fascination to heightened, emotionally charged memories or ideas. Oftentimes torn between
veneration and vilification of the public and private politics of Black Power adherents, much of the
middle ground is still to be conquered by great parts of the public and scholars alike. These disparate
views illustrate that after almost twenty years of revision, the new scholarship on the Black Power
phase of the African American Freedom Struggle has yet ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Published in 2006, Peniel Joseph s first comprehensive account of the history of the Black Power
movement in the United States was written against a historiographical backdrop that paid little or
selective attention to the distinct ideological and activist roots of the Black Power advocates who rose
to influence in the late 1960s. Addressing a narrative that at best illustrated the young activists as
naĂŻve and mislead, and at worst as criminal and self centered demagogues to be blamed for the
dissolution of the interracial civil rights coalition, Joseph centers his works around the emergence of a
rather apolitical Black Nationalism that turns its focus increasingly toward a more activist stance.
Concurrent with the evolution of Malcolm X, the politics of Black Power, Joseph argues, became
more and more politicized, culminating in separate parties, which, independently of the political
mainstream, pursued a politics of African American self determination. In contrast to those scholars
who consider the Black Power phase as part of the long civil rights movement, Joseph defines it as a
distinct form of radical African

KABC is used to measure processing and cognitive ability, given as a paper test for ages 3 18 by a
graduate level individual who is well trained in psychology and cognitive assessments. There are two
models of testing for this particular assessment. Cattell Horn Carroll (CHC) and Luna. The CHC is to
be used in students who are considered mainstream in language and culture and may be suffering with
learning disabilities that include reading, written expression, mathematics, mental retardation, ADHD,
behavioral or emotional disturbance or are considered gifted. The Luna is to be given to those
individuals who are bilingual or may have different cultural norms and excludes verbal ability.
Individual assessing should have an understanding of Psychology, Special Education, Child

Chinese Cultural Issues
Cultural Issues/Differences China has a very old and complex culture. Traditions vary between towns,
cities and country areas.
Chinese culture developed in isolation from the world which means it is very different, and
interesting. The Chinese are not very religious, and have blended different religions over time. In
business, the Chinese value relationships. In architecture, symmetry and width are strong eg
Forbidden city. Chinese food is very important, and local recipes are now found all over the world.
Cultural activities, like the Temple Fair and the Lantern Festival (Chinese New Year) are special times
for locals.
Customs Tipping is NOT part of the Chinese culture, haggling is normal. Beijing though which has
many tourists and has become somewhat used to tipping. Greeting each other in China is by bowing or
nodding. When addressing people use their title and surname. Acknowledge the oldest person first. In
China you should avoid physical contact, and especially avoid touching a woman in public. Public
displays of affection are frowned on. Dress in most settings in China people are expected to dress
modestly, not showing too much bare skin. Public toilets often just a hole in the floor = No privacy!.
There is usually a fee to pay, and you will need your own toilet paper. McDonalds does have western
style toilets.

Privacy And Confidentiality In Health Care
Ethical problem paper Privacy and Confidentiality Introduction The question of privacy and
confidentiality as it relates to electronic health records (EHR) requires serious attention. In spite of the
potential advantage of EHR in the way patient information is stored, communicated and processed by
the parties involved in healthcare delivery, there is widespread concern that patient privacy may be
compromised during the delivery. Healthcare is changing and so are the tools used to coordinate better
care for patients (Rodriguez. 2011). In order for electronic health records to achieve their desired
goals, protection of patient privacy is paramount. Lack of patients trust in privacy and confidentiality
can lead to reluctance in disclosing their pertinent medical information. Nurses have the ethical
obligation to protect their patients private health information. Is electronic health records (EHR)

the call of the wild Essay
The Call of the Wild, on the surface, is a story about Buck, a four year old dog that is part Shepherd
and part St. Bernard. More importantly, it is a naturalistic tale about the survival of the fittest in
nature. Throughout the novel, Buck proves that he is fit and can endure the law of the club, the law of
the fang, and the laws of nature.
Buck had been raised in California, on the ranch of Judge Miller. There he had the run of the place and
was loved and pampered by all. Unfortunately, one of the judge s workers had a gambling problem
and stole Buck to sell him for fifty dollars. Buck fights being tied, caged, and beaten, but his efforts

Most of the other dogs stay away from Buck because of his size and strength, but Spitz becomes his
constant enemy, from whom he learns an important lesson. Spitz fights with Curly, one of the dogs
that is friendly to Buck. Buck watches as all the other dogs attack and kill Curly once he is down.
Buck is determined he will never be put in the same position. He will fight to the death if necessary.
Spitz constantly picks on Buck, wanting to get in a fight with him; Buck, however, resists the
challenges from Spitz. Then one time he steals the resting place that Buck has created for himself.
Buck has had enough and attacks Spitz with a vengeance. Francois and Perrault have to separate the
two dogs. Although the fight is stopped, the animosity continues, and the two enemies are always in a
skirmish. Then one day when Spitz prematurely kills a rabbit that all the dogs have been chasing,
Buck attacks again. The battle is fierce, and Buck is losing. He then calls upon his intelligence and
imagination to defeat Spitz. Instead of going for his throat, Buck attacks Spitz s front legs, breaking
both of them. Once he is down, the other dogs come in for the kill.
Now that Spitz has been eliminated, Buck is determined to become the leader of the dog sled team.
When Francois and Perrault harness Sol leks at the front of the team instead of Buck, he refuses to fall
into his place. When the drivers try to catch him, Buck runs out of reach. The quot;game quot; of tag

Economic Policies Implemented During President Reagan s...
Reaganomics refers to economic policies implemented during President Reagan s administration from
1981 1989. The main ideology of Reaganomics was conservation which promoted that government is
the problem, not solution . That means, society and market would function better with limited
government power and regulations. Accordingly, Social wealth was distributed by unrestricted market,
and profits that capitalists earned would trickle down to the bottom of society. In this way, people
were in charge of improving their lives instead of relying on the aid of government. In order to recover
from the economic crisis occurred between 1981and1982, the major Reaganomics objectives was to
reduce government intervention in business and social aids. The policies were specified as marginal
tax cut, tightening money supply, reducing social welfare programs and regulations. Generally,
Reaganomics that impact citizens the most would be tax cut, reducing welfares and regulations.
First of all, the marginal tax cut was one of the most significant policy in the governing of President
Reagan. Starting from 1981, government reduced individual tax (the top tax rate was reduced from
70% to 50 %) and Windfall profit tax. As the Tax reform act of 1986 published, the tax rate of
wealthiest Americans was decline to 28 % and corporation tax was decreased to 34%. In addition, as
marginal tax rate for wealthy people decreasing, personal exemption amount increased from $1,080 to
$2,000. That means,

The Culture Of South Africa And South African Culture
Culture
South African culture is known for its ethnic and cultural diversity. The culture that most people

it s art, dance and music, because of its rich colors and rhythm. South Africa has a rich musical

The music genre that s leading the modern music industry in South Africa is Kawito.

Discussion I. Can our client satisfy the first requirement for a malicious prosecution suit that requires
that the termination of the earlier suit be in the plaintiff s favor when in our client s case their
termination was due to a voluntary dismissal by the initial plaintiff who changed her mind about her
claim?
To meet the first element favorable termination a plaintiff cannot rely on a settlement of the case that
both parties agree to. Once the litigation ends by settlement there is no favorable termination for the
purpose of pursuing a malicious prosecution. A favorable termination is satisfied by abandonment or
dismissal and without any final determination merits. However there are preceding cases that require

The judgment entered by the trial court on the motion to dismiss was reversed because a termination
must be in favor of the person against whom civil proceedings are brought.
To have an action for malicious prosecution, our client must prove that a favorable termination has
taken place. In the Colli case it establishes that a voluntary dismissal without prejudice of a will
contest is a favorable termination. In the Frey case it is stated that when a termination or dismissal
indicates in some fashion that the accused is innocent of wrongdoing it is a favorable termination.
Also a termination without a trial on the merits may be a favorable termination of litigation if the
circumstances indicate the innocence or freedom from liability of the defendant. In a case where there
is no adjunction on the merits the existence of favorable termination of the prior proceeding, you must
look at the facts to determine what actually occurred and whom the termination benefitted. II. Can our
client show a special injury from another earlier suit against him, as required to have an action for
malicious prosecution, when his charter boat was seized pending the suit as allowed by state, and
when his professional reputation was damaged because of the suit?
To meet the fourth element special injury a plaintiff must show a special injury from the previous

Early Prenatal And Birthing Care Essay

Mary Breckinridge: Pioneering Rural Prenatal and Birthing Care During the early 1900 s, the
healthcare system for families in rural areas was virtually nonexistent. Mary Breckinridge noticed a
need for more healthcare access in these areas, which led her to create the Frontier Nursing Service
(FNS). Through her work, Breckinridge was able to provide thousands of families with the healthcare
that they needed, while also bringing an entirely new field of study to the United States. What led her
to believe the United States needed a change? What impact did her work have on the United States,
and is it still relevant today? We will be looking at the significant impact that Mary Breckinridge made
to the field of nursing and to the overall healthcare system of the United States. Mary Breckinridge
received her degree in nursing from St. Luke s Hospital School of Nursing in 1910. She proceeded to
teach French and hygiene at a women s school, until tragedy hit her. Following the death of her infant
daughter in 1916 and the death of her 4 year old son 1918, Breckinridge decided to change her career
path. After spending some time working as a public health nurse in the United States, Breckinridge
went to France where she worked with the American Committee for Devastated France. This is where
her work turned to a focus on women and children s health issues. She created a program that

Emily Brontë s Wuthring Heights
I848, at the age of only 30, the sensational recognised Wuthering Heights made a monumental
dramatic entrance for her career. She was a greedy woman, greedy for strong passionate words that
will zap electrical shocks of emotion, irony and fear through your body. Words which both you and I
cannot ever put together as she did, her name, Emily Brontë. Emily Brontë was one of the most
dignified women of her era. Although she had an eccentric, out of the ordinary way to put herself
forward, like all women, at the time, without rights/privileges, women where not as free as they are
today. It is thanks to people like Emily Brontë who stood up, and showed what woman can do and will
do; they are capable of doing what men do. They used pen names, ... Show more content on

The use of settings and Weather is very important, especially alongside with the emotions and
feelings, the characters actions and feelings also reflect of fatal outcomes. This is a Pathetic Fallacy.
At the beginning of the story, Lockwood, who is the new lost tenant of Heathcliff See s the deathly
ghost of Catherine, it is raining heavily, and here, Brontë is showing a low mood of atmosphere with a
sense of foreboding within the characters. Then the ghostly terror of Catherine s spirit makes each and
everyone of your body hair sticking up, the Goosebumps shooting out listening to the sound of
silence... Emily Brontë makes strong and clear symbolic use of the settings for instance, she sets the
story amongst the wild moors where Catherine runs around barefoot freely with Heathcliff. She is a
tomboy, simply because she grew up with her devilish brothers together with the premature death of
her mothers love, seemingly she may have had Nelly nursing her, but both of them were never fond of
each other very much, they never had an intact relationship. In contrast, Catherine didn t know how to
present herself as a well mannered lady, plainly because she wasn t one. Catherine and Heathcliff are
dirty and wild , their nature mirrors and reflect the wildness and roughness of the moors. The way the
moors are spreading in cracks. As the moors are withering away, the possessed enchanted

In the 1960s the American Heart Association debuted a film named
Eat to Your Heart s Content . This video brought national attention to saturated fats in the American
diet. It inspired an article in the 1969 *Farm
Journal* to ask the question, Do animal fats cause heart attacks? Up until the American Heart
Association released this video, no health or medical organization had recommended an overall
transition from saturated animal fats to unsaturated vegetable oils. According to the article in the
*Farm
Journal*, the video encouraged viewers to leave most cheeses, fatty meats, and eggs behind and
instead eat low fat or vegetable based oils. The
American Heart Association did this by linking an increase of cholesterol in the blood to ... Show

Though
Jersey cattle have a reputation of producing the sweetest milk and best tasting meat, they are less
popular due to their high fat content. Instead,
Holstein cattle are more popularly bread for their lower fat milk and Angus cattle dominate the beef
industry with lower fat quantity and a high muscle yield. Also, the traditional pig was no longer bred
to be so pot bellied .
This gave way to a more lean and muscular swine industry.
The modern American diet has generally accepted the theory of cholesterol containing foods
(saturated fats) causing heart disease and is submerged in a low fat, vegetable oil diet. Even though the
public has seemingly accepted this view, the scientific research community is still in disagreement.
The American Heart Association, today, takes the same stance it took in the 1960s with a recent quote
from their website stating:
Eating foods that contain saturated fats raises the level of cholesterol in your blood. High levels of
blood cholesterol increase your risk of heart disease and stroke. Be aware, too, that many foods high
in saturated fats are also high in cholesterol which raises your blood cholesterol even higher. Even
though this is the current opinion of the American Heart Association, many research experiments have
challenged it.
In 2009 an article was published in *Lipids *testing the dietary effect of

Epic Poetry and Beowulf Pg
Epic poems have a unique set of characteristics that distinguish them from just an ordinary poem. An
epic poem must contain a hero that is male, noble, and of importance to society who gives long formal
speeches and travels over a vast setting. In the epic poem, Beowulf, the reader can see distinct Anglo
Saxon political, economic, and religious values in the actions of the characters and the things
happening around them. Wealth in the Anglo Saxon society, as seen in Beowulf, was used as a means
of reparations, rewards, and political standings. One can also tell that the Anglo Saxons where in a
state of limbo between Christian and Pagan beliefs because of the ideas expressed by the hero and his
colleagues in Beowulf. The political standings ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Paganism can also be found during the poem when the narrator discusses fate, the nonexistence of an
afterlife, and the concept of fate. Before entering the dragons tower Beowulf tells his followers that he
will fight until fate decides which of us [he or the dragon] wins (Beowulf pg. 53). Fate is only a belief
in Pagan religion; Christians don t believe in a predetermined destiny. When Beowulf is fighting the
dragon and he begins to sense defeat he reflects on a journey into darkness that all men must make, as
death ends their few brief hours on earth. (Beowulf pg.54). This journey into darkness alerts the reader
that Beowulf believes that his only life is here on earth and will venture on to darkness with no
afterlife. Christians believe that there is a life after death in heaven as opposed to Pagans who believe
in death as an end of existence.
Scattered in the poem the reader can find literary devices including stock epithets, kennings,
alliteration, allusions, hyperbole, and imagery. Stock epithets are adjectives that point out a special
trait of a character. One example of a stock epithet can be found in line 324 of Beowulf when Grendel
is described as being a sin stained demon (Beowulf pg. 42). A kenning is a poetic synonym found in
Germanic poems as seen when Beowulf is called the noble protector of all seamen (Beowulf pg.50).
Alliteration is the repetition of

Depreciation
Rupee Depreciation: Probable Causes and Outlook
The Indian Rupee has depreciated significantly against the US Dollar marking a new risk for Indian
economy. Till the beginning of the financial year (Apr 11 Mar 12) very few had expected Rupee to
depreciate with most hinting towards either appreciation or status quo in the rupee levels. Those few
who had even anticipated may not have imagined the scale of depreciation with rupee touching a new
low of around Rs 54 to the US Dollar. What is even more interesting to note is that when other
countries are trying to play currency wars and trying to keep their currencies devalued, India is trying
to prevent depreciation of the currency. (Read our previous report for a review of the situation ... Show

Fiscal Deficit: Fiscal deficits play a role especially during currency crisis. If a country follows a fixed
exchange rates and also runs a large fiscal deficit it could lead to speculative attacks on the currency.
Higher deficits imply government might resort to using forex reserves to finance its deficit. This leads
to lowering of the reserves and in case there is a speculation on the currency, the government may not
have adequate reserves to protect the fixed value of the currency. This pushes the government to
devalue the currency. So, though fiscal deficits do not have a direct bearing on foreign exchange
markets, they play a role in case there is a crisis. Global economic conditions: Barring domestic
conditions, global conditions impact the currency movement as well. In times of high uncertainty as
seen lately, most currencies usually depreciate against US Dollar as it is seen as a safe haven currency.
Hence even over a longer term, multiple factors determine an exchange rate with each one playing an
important role over time.
II. Rupee Movement since 1991
If we look at India s Balance of Payments since 1970 71, we see that external account mostly balances
in 1970s. Infact in second half of 1970s there is a current account surplus. This was a period of import
substitution strategy and India followed a closed economy model.

  • 2. Explain The Four Temperaments ïł The four temperaments categorises personality into four types: sanguine, choleric, melancholic and phlegmatic. ïł Four temperaments is a proto psychological theory that believes that individuals are one of the four personality types. ïł In Ancient Greece, these four temperaments are linked to the four body humors (blood, yellow bile, black bile and phlegm). These four humors are also believed to be linked with the four elements (air, fire, earth and water). ïł It was theorised that an unproportioned amount of these fluids resulted in sickness and disease. A well balanced amount of all the humors resulted in a healthy body and mind. Disproportion of one of the four humor fluids determined the personality type of the individual. ïł Humoral theory ... • 3. Theory Of Planned Behavior Theory Paper Another relevant theory in this area is the theory of planned behavior (TPB), developed by Ajzen and Fishbein (1980). TPB states that intention is the proximal determinant of behavior and is determined by three constructs: attitude (viewed as a positive or negative evaluation towards performing a behavior); subjective norm (which is the perception of the beliefs of important others); perceived behavioral control (which describes one s perception of the amount of control they have in performing the behavior) (France, France, Himawan, 2007; Giles, McClenahan, Cairns, Mallet, 2004). It is of note that while perceived behavioral control has often been equated with Bandura s concept of self efficacy many have argued that the constructs are not equal, since self efficacy is more concerned with cognitive perceptions of control based on internal control factors (Ajzen, 1991; Armitage Conner, 2001; Giles Cairns, 1995). ... • 4. Constructivism And The Theory Of Constructivism We have all been guilty of doing it, making assumptions about someone based on what we have seen or been through. We see a person or an object and classify it as tall, wealthy, ugly, pretty, etc. Categorizing what we see can be helpful but sometimes it can lead to stereotyping. But why do we make assumptions? The theory of Constructivism can help us understand why we categorize things we see into constructs and how these constructs can be harmful and how they can benefit or hurt us when we communicate with others. The theory of constructivism helps explain how meaning can be developed through interactions we have. The basis of the theory was started by George Kelly who was a main author in the Personal Construct Theory. This theory discussed insight and how it can be gained by people s interactions and perceptions and how they use their observations to make attributions. It claimed that individuals understand the world around them by organizing and recognizing people and events by their personal constructs they create. Personal constructs can be explained as sets of opposites into which objects are classified (Lee 2016) such as rich poor, cheap expensive, etc. This helped pave the way for constructivism, which reasons that people classify their experiences into groups so they can help give meaning to it and can make sense of the situation. According to Jessie Delia (1982), one of the main leaders in the theory, action is guided by context relevant interactions and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In her readings, there has been numerous of topics she had raised and one of the most stood out topic for me was her judgement towards education for females. This part of the aspect has brought to my attention that it needs further discussion with my peer to discuss how some of Wollstonecraft s judgement relevant to the lives of women today. Wollstonecraft was born in London and is second of seven sibling in her family. In her readings, it showed that she was a very intelligent and talented women who strive for success. During her life stage, she had plenty of struggles with every aspect of her live but that did not stop her from being a writer, philosopher or even an activist. One of the main key point Wollstonecraft raised was how girls should be educated, she believed she was a great educational thinker and could help women to fight for equal rights. In the Vindication of the rights of woman that Wollstonecraft published, she argued that in order for women to develop morally, boys and girls should be educated together with the same subjects. Girls should be taught how to reason and be given more to think other than how they dress (Wollstonecraft, 1976). She claimed that women in her society had been pressure to adopt in the male s society therefore an academic education is needed to allow people to become more aware of what is happening on the world (Todd, 1989). • 7. Analysis Of Buttons By Carl Sandburg Attempting to explain a unique experience to another person is a nearly impossible task; adding in that they had previously held opposing thoughts on your experience causes a gap between actuality and the understanding of the receiver. In Buttons , Carl Sandburg faces this problem as he narrates the realities of war while covering how those without the experience regarded it with oversimplification. Sandburg conveys the message showing the disconnect of war between the soldiers in action and civilians at home to share the horrors of war for those without the experience. As if possessing a natural ability in poetic writing was not enough, Carl Sandburg added a unique angle to his pieces. Raised in a poor environment and family, Sandburg quickly lost his identity within the masses and aimlessly roamed as a hobo through various states. At the ripe young age of 20, he volunteered to serve in the Spanish American War. This stood as one of the most important decisions in his life as it both built his character and later gave way to his writing career as well. During the eight months Sandburg was stationed in Puerto Rico, he was never called to fight on the front lines; still, he trained and prepared in the case that such a time would come. Regardless of not serving directly, Sandburg still witnessed some of the horrendous tragedies other soldiers went through and expanded on his own personal anecdotes revealing that the environment the soldiers were in was very trying in and of ... Originally the cost shouldn t have been that high, because the attacks were supposed to last only 8 weeks, but ended up lasting 3 years. The main objective of Operation Rolling Thunder , was to demoralize the North Vietnam people and to undermine the capacity of the government. Although the cost was effective, the attacks weren t, as the Vietnamese came up with an effective defense for the bombing raids, with assistance from China and The Soviet Union. • 10. What Is The Cobra Effect There is a solution to every problem . A common phrase every one of us must have heard atleast once in our lives. Does every problem require a solution? What if the solution to the problem ends up making the problem even worse? Such a situation in Economics is often referred to as The Cobra Effect . The term Cobra effect comes from an anecdote from colonial India. British, during their reign in India, had observed something peculiar and mysterious in their attempt at solving the growing crisis of increasing Cobra population in the northern part of their colony. The British, in their surge of curbing the increasing population of Cobras, placed a bounty on the heads of cobras to help eradicate them. Initially, their plan worked. Population of cobras declined. However, their happiness was short lived as the population sky rocketed, to the utter dismay and astonishment of the Englishmen. Shocking observations of a British General revealed that families were raising broods of cobras in their homes to earn the bounty from their heads and feed themselves from their remaining carcasses. This is an example of a perverse incentive where the incentive for the behaviour actually made the problem worse. Classical economists believed or rather assumed the fact that human beings ... In section one of Numbers which is the Lord s Preparing the First Generation to Enter the Promised Land covered in chapters one through ten there seems to a very specific message that God desires to communicate to the original audience. Although various opinions may exist regarding what this message may be the clearest message that appears to be displayed is that God has various ordinances and rules regarding the worship, day to day life, and travel of the Israelite nation which set them apart from the nations around them and must be strictly followed and adhered to. Chapter two of Numbers gives an account of the organization of the camp of the Israelites after they had been numbered by tribe. Each tribe had a specific leader, a specific head of each group of three thirds, and a specific location in which they were supposed to camp relative to the tabernacle. The purpose for all of this was set out by God in order to protect the ark and the tabernacle along with encampment as a whole from the presence of God and invaders who sought to raid the encampment. They one of the most versatile forms of a natural disaster, as they can be caused by a rockslide, underwater earthquake, certain volcanic eruptions, or a high velocity impact of a sizeable object within a body of water (1). The media and scientific research has done a sufficient job in covering real world tsunamis and relief efforts, which in turn has help trigger natural human curiosity regarding the subject. The film industry has capitalized off of this, and has made a numerous amount of movies either based on, or featuring these devastating waves. To validate this, AÎČ42 fibrils were prepared from AÎČ42 monomer ex vivo and used to treat glioma A172 and U251 cells. AÎČ uptake was blocked by both transient transfection of a miR34a mimic and stable miR34a overexpression (Supplementary Fig. 1B, Fig. 1A), but enhanced by anti miR34a (Fig. 1B), indicating that miR34a suppressed AÎČ phagocytosis in these cells. The fact that enhanced and decreased levels of miR34a correlated with corresponding changes in intracellular AÎČ supports the notion that miR34a may slow down AÎČ clearance by affecting its AÎČ uptake and degradation. ... Since mature autophagosome fuse with lysosomes to become autolysosome in the very late stage of autophagy, we asked whether miR34a could retard autophagosome lysosome fusion by examining the co localization of EGFP LC3 and LysoTracker Red, a specific dye for live cell lysosome labeling [47]. As expected, EGFP LC3 puncta were dramatically reinforced in miR34a mimic transfected cells but did not co localize with LysoTracker Red. This was acting similar to cells treated with baïŹlomycin A1 (Baf), which blocked autophagosome lysosome fusion. In contrast, E64D treatment induced a remarkable increased EGFP LC3 puncta, which were well co localized with LysoTracker Red (Fig. 1D). Since lysosome associated membrane glycoprotein 2 (LAMP2) is also critical for autophagosome lysosome fusion [48], we examined the effect of miR34a on LAMP2 expression using WB analysis. MiR34a caused an unexpected increase of LAMP2 (Supplementary Fig. 1C), suggesting that the mechanism by which miR34a blocked autophagosome lysosome fusion was not due to LAMP2. As LAMP2 is mostly important for chaperone mediated autophagy, its increase might be a compensation for the decrease in macroautophagy. In summary, the above results reinforce that miR34a compromised AÎČ degradation by, at least, blocking autolysosome formation. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I feel as though Zelizer s opinion upon the situation is partially right, but I believe Trump has gained the population s vote, and has sustained loyal members of his political party, by being a truthful candidate. Unlike other candidate s Trump speaks the cold hard truth most of the time, whereas other people like Hillary Clinton fluff up the truth not exposing how critical situations have become in the world. • 23. Evaluation Of The Layout And Content Of My Brochure Unit 12 Evaluation for the Brochure I will evaluate the layout and content of my brochure against the client brief. The page layout for each page is A4. At first I divided the pages into three section. However, it didn t look as appealing. The purpose of this is because I wanted to ensure the information and the sizes of the images fills the page. This is because I wanted to make it more different and appealing. The information is placed in a rectangular or square box. It fits the whole A4 page. The point size of the texts varies this depends if it is the subheading, heading or body text. Also, the sizes of the shapes are diverse. This depends on the information and how big the images are. Also, there are images placed in the box, which I will further discuss. The front cover of the Newcastle Tours brochure as stated earlier is an A4 page. This page is simpler due to it being the front cover and is 21 cm x 29.7cm. I decided to add the social networks at the bottom of the page and information at the centre of the page, along with the logo at the top of the brochure. I don t have a particular layout as I wanted to make it more individual and more appealing. The colour of the text in all the pages is white and black. The purpose of this is because the background is mainly dark blue and white so black and white will contrast with the background colours. These colours were also used to meet the brief. Moreover, the text styles used are Calibri Corbel. All these font ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 25. Theory Of Property Rights By Harold Demsetz Theory of Property Rights By Harold Demsetz (UChicago) The concept and role of property rights It this first part, Demsetz offers a more theoretical foundation for the concepts he will use in the following parts. The author starts defining the idea of property rights and differentiating how they transmit the right to benefit or harm oneself or others. After, he links it with the recognition a close relationship between property rights and externalities. The process of Internalizing such effects refers to a change in property rights, that enables these effects to bear (in greater degree) on all interacting persons. They become part of the economy. The example of the military draft is used later to show how the costs of internalization have to be higher to its gains. The lower the cost the greater the number of transactions and the degree to which they take place. Lastly, in this section, Demsetz defines the framework of his analysis, what would happen if transaction costs of internalizing were zero? There are two main implications, on the first one he states that the output mix is efficient for all players involved. Secondly, that the mix is independent of who is assigned the ownership. We choose to imitate certain individuals whose beliefs we associate with more than others. More likely than not, the individuals we choose to imitate are our close relatives; they often have a bigger impact on our mentality than someone merely acquainted with us. Ulrich and Georg were brought into the feud as enemies at a young age. Even as boys they had thirsted for one another s blood, and this disposition stuck with them for as men each prayed that misfortune might fall on the other, (6). Their families view of each other, being such a prevalent part of their childhood, had influenced them to show the same hatred as well. Instead of outgrowing the childish behavior they developed by watching their families quarrel, the men continue to see themselves as enemies, even developing a stronger dislike for them. While searching the strip of forest for Georg, Ulrich finds himself face to face with the man he sought, and now they stand, glaring at one another for a long silent moment until they are pinned underneath a fallen beech tree (7). Addressing a narrative that at best illustrated the young activists as naĂŻve and mislead, and at worst as criminal and self centered demagogues to be blamed for the dissolution of the interracial civil rights coalition, Joseph centers his works around the emergence of a rather apolitical Black Nationalism that turns its focus increasingly toward a more activist stance. Concurrent with the evolution of Malcolm X, the politics of Black Power, Joseph argues, became more and more politicized, culminating in separate parties, which, independently of the political mainstream, pursued a politics of African American self determination. Accordingly, Social wealth was distributed by unrestricted market, and profits that capitalists earned would trickle down to the bottom of society. In this way, people were in charge of improving their lives instead of relying on the aid of government. At the beginning of the story, Lockwood, who is the new lost tenant of Heathcliff See s the deathly ghost of Catherine, it is raining heavily, and here, BrontĂ« is showing a low mood of atmosphere with a sense of foreboding within the characters. Then the ghostly terror of Catherine s spirit makes each and everyone of your body hair sticking up, the Goosebumps shooting out listening to the sound of silence... Emily BrontĂ« makes strong and clear symbolic use of the settings for instance, she sets the story amongst the wild moors where Catherine runs around barefoot freely with Heathcliff. She is a tomboy, simply because she grew up with her devilish brothers together with the premature death of her mothers love, seemingly she may have had Nelly nursing her, but both of them were never fond of each other very much, they never had an intact relationship. In contrast, Catherine didn t know how to present herself as a well mannered lady, plainly because she wasn t one. This video brought national attention to saturated fats in the American diet. It inspired an article in the 1969 *Farm Journal* to ask the question, Do animal fats cause heart attacks? Up until the American Heart Association released this video, no health or medical organization had recommended an overall transition from saturated animal fats to unsaturated vegetable oils. According to the article in the *Farm Journal*, the video encouraged viewers to leave most cheeses, fatty meats, and eggs behind and instead eat low fat or vegetable based oils. The American Heart Association did this by linking an increase of cholesterol in the blood to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Though Jersey cattle have a reputation of producing the sweetest milk and best tasting meat, they are less popular due to their high fat content. Instead, Holstein cattle are more popularly bread for their lower fat milk and Angus cattle dominate the beef industry with lower fat quantity and a high muscle yield. Also, the traditional pig was no longer bred to be so pot bellied . This gave way to a more lean and muscular swine industry. The modern American diet has generally accepted the theory of cholesterol containing foods (saturated fats) causing heart disease and is submerged in a low fat, vegetable oil diet. Even though the public has seemingly accepted this view, the scientific research community is still in disagreement. The American Heart Association, today, takes the same stance it took in the 1960s with a recent quote from their website stating: Eating foods that contain saturated fats raises the level of cholesterol in your blood. High levels of blood cholesterol increase your risk of heart disease and stroke. Be aware, too, that many foods high in saturated fats are also high in cholesterol which raises your blood cholesterol even higher. Even though this is the current opinion of the American Heart Association, many research experiments have challenged it. In 2009 an article was published in *Lipids *testing the dietary effect of ... • 44. Epic Poetry and Beowulf Pg Epic poems have a unique set of characteristics that distinguish them from just an ordinary poem. An epic poem must contain a hero that is male, noble, and of importance to society who gives long formal speeches and travels over a vast setting. In the epic poem, Beowulf, the reader can see distinct Anglo Saxon political, economic, and religious values in the actions of the characters and the things happening around them. Wealth in the Anglo Saxon society, as seen in Beowulf, was used as a means of reparations, rewards, and political standings. One can also tell that the Anglo Saxons where in a state of limbo between Christian and Pagan beliefs because of the ideas expressed by the hero and his colleagues in Beowulf. The political standings ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Paganism can also be found during the poem when the narrator discusses fate, the nonexistence of an afterlife, and the concept of fate. Before entering the dragons tower Beowulf tells his followers that he will fight until fate decides which of us [he or the dragon] wins (Beowulf pg. 53). Fate is only a belief in Pagan religion; Christians don t believe in a predetermined destiny. When Beowulf is fighting the dragon and he begins to sense defeat he reflects on a journey into darkness that all men must make, as death ends their few brief hours on earth. (Beowulf pg.54). This journey into darkness alerts the reader that Beowulf believes that his only life is here on earth and will venture on to darkness with no afterlife. Christians believe that there is a life after death in heaven as opposed to Pagans who believe in death as an end of existence. Scattered in the poem the reader can find literary devices including stock epithets, kennings, alliteration, allusions, hyperbole, and imagery. Stock epithets are adjectives that point out a special trait of a character. One example of a stock epithet can be found in line 324 of Beowulf when Grendel is described as being a sin stained demon (Beowulf pg. 42). A kenning is a poetic synonym found in Germanic poems as seen when Beowulf is called the noble protector of all seamen (Beowulf pg.50). Alliteration is the repetition of ... • 45. Depreciation Rupee Depreciation: Probable Causes and Outlook The Indian Rupee has depreciated significantly against the US Dollar marking a new risk for Indian economy. Till the beginning of the financial year (Apr 11 Mar 12) very few had expected Rupee to depreciate with most hinting towards either appreciation or status quo in the rupee levels. Those few who had even anticipated may not have imagined the scale of depreciation with rupee touching a new low of around Rs 54 to the US Dollar. What is even more interesting to note is that when other countries are trying to play currency wars and trying to keep their currencies devalued, India is trying to prevent depreciation of the currency. (Read our previous report for a review of the situation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Fiscal Deficit: Fiscal deficits play a role especially during currency crisis. If a country follows a fixed exchange rates and also runs a large fiscal deficit it could lead to speculative attacks on the currency. Higher deficits imply government might resort to using forex reserves to finance its deficit. This leads to lowering of the reserves and in case there is a speculation on the currency, the government may not have adequate reserves to protect the fixed value of the currency. This pushes the government to devalue the currency. So, though fiscal deficits do not have a direct bearing on foreign exchange markets, they play a role in case there is a crisis. Global economic conditions: Barring domestic conditions, global conditions impact the currency movement as well. In times of high uncertainty as seen lately, most currencies usually depreciate against US Dollar as it is seen as a safe haven currency. Hence even over a longer term, multiple factors determine an exchange rate with each one playing an important role over time. II. Rupee Movement since 1991 If we look at India s Balance of Payments since 1970 71, we see that external account mostly balances in 1970s. Infact in second half of 1970s there is a current account surplus. This was a period of import substitution strategy and India followed a closed economy model. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
