Management Style
As you may know, different management styles are required in different parts of the world. It is
important to choose the right management style for each situation, which is a key to success for an
organization. All managers use a management process which consists of planning, organizing, leading
and controlling. So they have to perform many roles in an enterprise. What they can do with various
situations will totally depend on their style of management. A management style is an overall method
of leadership used by a manager (Lessem et al, 1999). This essay will first demonstrate different types
of management styles, and then discuss three key factors that can influence management style, with
reference to Japan and America.
Each of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Japanese style takes a collective form of responsibility. Those manufactures produce high product
quality at a relatively lower cost (Alston, 1986). The reason is that this sense of collective
responsibility has positively affected the quality standards. Product quality is cooperatively achieved
by workers and managers. Japanese tend to believe the group is more important than the individual
(Alston, 1986). In terms of decision making, they probably attempt to gain consensus even if it might
require more time. As to Americans, who are almost self centered, they apparently choose to make
quick decisions on their own for immediate resolution (Anderson, 2009).
The second factor is staff belonging. The general principle of Japanese management is that workers
form a family (Alston, 1986). As a part of the corporate family , every member not only pays attention
to their own salaries, but also considers the development of the company. Pay is only one reward.
There is also a sense of belongingness and support that employees receive from their corporations. On
the contrary, Americans tend to indicate that there is no need for them to become familiar with one
organization and colleagues before they are off again on their trips (Wellens, 1980). Perhaps
individual freedom is more essential than staff belonging in their mind. This different attitude leads to
diverse management styles. One consequence for Japanese is the practice of lifetime employment. The

6) What does made in Dagenham tell us about aspects of the women question? for instance what are
women like? What do they want? What is their proper sphere? You may wish to comment upon how
the film works as a film for instance framing images, music, and characterization. Etc.

The film Made in Dagenham directed by Nigel Cole is based on a true story but is not completely

The second reading of the debate of the bill, machinists got be to cited next to MP Shirley

joined the European union in 1973, became under the subject of article 119 of the 1957 treaty of
Rome. That specifies that men and women should receive equal pay for equal work. All the women
were in the union; it was a strong force to backed them up. In 1983, the Equal Value Amendment
Regulations passed as an amendment to the Equal Pay Act. The European Court of Justice had found
that UK legislation was not sufficient to provide for equal work for equal value for all employees. The
new legislation gave women the right to go to an employment tribunal on a new ground: that they felt
their work was of equal value to men in the same organization. The women at Ford used this to
challenge Ford s discriminatory job evaluation scheme, but the employment tribunal ruled against
them and turned down their appeal in 1984. With their renewed hopes once again unfulfilled by the
law, the women at Ford took strike action in December 1984. (Source 4)
Did the men support them?
Some workingmen helped the women in the strike. The husbands that worked in the ford plant
supported their wife s throughout the strike.

Mortician Career Essay
Within the working force, I myself would like to enter into the career of Mortuary Science as a
Mortician. Morticians are people who prepare the bodies of the deceased for burial or cremation.
Morticians are actually needed in the work field, meaning with the proper requirements and
experience you re likely to find a job. This career requires a mass of knowledge in which you will
need to prepare for. There were frequent steps taken to compile research on this career. Countless
resources were available for me to perceive various types of information, as a matter of fact I chose
the internet as my first reliable source. I went about going on the internet as I acknowledge a website
from my English teacher, Ms. French called onetonline.com. Only certain headlines from the website

One day while I was at school, I decided to enter the library and scope out as many books there were
in my occupation. First, I went to the librarian, Mrs. Williams and asked if she could search for books
about Morticians, which lead me to nothing meaning I had to narrow my source. We then changed the
search for books about dead bodies and the people who dealt them and I lucked up. In conclusion I
came across three books. Ordinarily, I would proceed to gather the books, but I assured myself that
each would be profitable before collecting.. Due to the heaps of research being needed, our teacher
provided us with another source to help out ,eventually leading us to visual job shadowing. During the
visual job shadowing, I saw a funeral director who was helping families decided what kind of service
to have. As the funeral director was talking to the family, he was writing obituary notices. In addition,
he was also arranging a burial or cremation documentation. Throughout the video, I was aware that the
funeral director needed to notify the government agency of his

Death Foretold Themes
Gabriel Garcia Marquez s novel, Chronicle of a Death Foretold, bring attention to many factors in
Colombian culture that relate to multiple themes. One of the most prominent themes in the novel
would be collective responsibility. As a person reads the novel they would notice how collective
responsibility ties in with the many different aspects of Colombian culture and helps the other themes
to show this along. Gabriel connects these different themes seamlessly to the point where they are
hard to pick out. However, as mentioned before as the most prominent theme, collective responsibility
was the most distinguishable. Gabriel seamlessly blends this into the novel throughout it, with the

When reading the novel, the author Gabriel Garcia Marquez implies that the Nasar family lives a
wealthy life because they have maids, a huge house and owns a falconry. While, Gabriel Garcia
Marquez bluntly says that Angela Vicario was the youngest daughter of a family of scant resources
which basically means her whole family is poor and to be rich Angela must marry wealthy which her
suitor Bayardo San Roman is. This gives the reader clues to why her family is encouraging this and
Angela is returned to her family for not being a virgin on her wedding night. Once Angela is returned
and Bayardo has left her house, Angela s mother Pure sima del Carmen beats her because this was
Angela s only chance for her to be wealthy and she ruined it and their family honor. So, when Pablo
and Pedro find out about what happened they start the plot to kill Santiago but in Colombian culture
this is not normal because they are poor and the poor should not kill the wealthy. When word starts to
get around that the Vicario brothers a planning to murder Santiago Nasar no one reacts to the news
because they think the two are just drunk rambling and not serious at all because Santiago is a rich
man. Yet, when they do manage to kill Santiago and the

The Central Powers of World War I
World War I took place between 1914 and 1918. It was a fight between the Central Powers and the
Allies. The Allies included America, Britain, France, and Russia. The Central Powers were Germany,
Austria Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire, which is now considered Turkey. The United States was
involved in the war for a short period of time; it entered the war very late. There was a deadlock
between the Allies and Central Powers, but Germany knew that they were going to lose the war
because of the United States entering; they wanted to seek an armistice. The Allied Powers ended up
winning, and forced Germany to agree to the harsh terms in the armistice they had written up. The
United States faced many challenges and trouble in its own country after the war. Towards the end of
the war, troop movements contributed to a worldwide influenza epidemic. The disease took more than
500,000 lives alone in the United States alone in 1918 and 1919. The epidemic even killed a larger
amount of people worldwide than the amount of people that had died in the war. The epidemic arose
in two stages. The first phase, identified as the three day fever, appeared without warning in the late
spring of 1918. Few deaths were reported. Victims recovered after a few days. When the disease
surfaced again that fall, it was far more severe. Scientists, doctors, and health officials could not
pinpoint this plague which was striking so viciously and fast, evading treatment and resisting control.

Joel Research Paper
Joel is the second of 12 Minor Prophets in the Old Testament of the Bible. He is placed between the
prophets Hosea and Amos; this information can be used later in determining the time in which his
book was written. The book of Joel is divided into four chapters. In the book there is no true
understanding about Joel himself, except his name and his father s name. The theme of the Book of
Joel is that salvation will come to Judah and Jerusalem only when the people turn to Yahweh. The
prophet Joel plays a very significant role in the Bible and also has a message of great importance to
deliver to the people of Yahweh. The Book of Joel in the Bible stressed four main points. Joel wanted
to warn the people of Judah that the coming of the Lord was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

It is known that his name signifies Jehovah is God . Joel always had an original approach when he
faced the problems in his time. Because of Joel s duty as a preacher of repentance he takes high
nobility among the twelve prophets. It is also stated that he is the son of Pethuel. Like Hosea, he [Joel]
distinguished himself from others of the same name, by the mention of his unknown father (Pusey
143). It can also be possible that Joel was an inhabitant of Judah, or even a citizen of Jerusalem. This
can be proven by the constant repetition of the words Zion and children of Zion (2: I, 23), and also of
Judah and Jerusalem (3: I, 6). Many scholars believe that Joel was also a priest because of his wide
range of knowledge of the Temple and also of the worship programs. It is concluded from the works
that Joel has written that he was a very literate person or according to John Watts, a literary prophecy
that is, prophecy composed to be read . This can be seen through Joel s extensive prophetic writing
and also in his poetic and descriptive writings. The best example is seen in the writings of the Locust
plague (2:3 11) and a drought (1:15 20). Although there are many diverse opinions of when Joel lived
or who he was, Yates gives the best overview of whom he was. I found Joel to be a very interesting
prophet he in way he reminds me of my late grandfather, Daniel Hugh Derrick

The Famous Five and the Persons Case Essay

They decided the question to be asked was Does the word person in section 24 of the BNAAct include
female persons? (Section 15, 2004). Unfortunately, in 1928, the Supreme Court of Canada answers
this question with no; women weren t persons. The judges of the Supreme Court stated that when the
BNAAct was written, women weren t allowed vote or run for office and the British House of Lords
had no females (Alberta Online Encyclopedia, 2004). Therefore, women didn t count as persons .
However, the Famous Five weren t satisfied with the answer they got and decided to continue working
on the case. The Famous Five decided to appeal to the decision made by the Supreme Court of Canada
with the support of Prime Minister Mackenzie King. The Famous Five appealed to the Judicial
Committee and Privy Council of England. In 1929, the British Privy Council declared women as
persons . They stated that the constitution is a living tree and should change according to the time
(Creating Canada, page 154). In conclusion, the victory of the Persons Case contributed to the
importance of women and opened the door to many rights. After women were declared as persons,
women s role in society increased. Although none of the Famous Five was appointed as a senator,
Carine Wilson became the first female senator 1 year later. Also, the Persons Case allowed women to

Through a lot of trial and error, I have found five foundations which actually satisfy the needs of oily
skin, so I will summarize my reviews in this article. Please not that not all oily skins are the same that
s exactly what makes the process of choosing perfect foundation so difficult. Being a professional
makeup artist, I have found that different clients with oily skin need different foundation, which is
why I made a useful comparison that will help you make the right decision.
Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation
This foundation works perfectly for my skin. It does have a mattifying effect, but it still gives the skin
a nice healthy velvety appearance that looks (well, almost) natural. Although it is quite pigmented and
provides higher coverage, it doesn t give the effect of a mask face. The staying power is extremely
satisfying, but I tend to set it with the Urban Decay spray when the weather is hot.
The best thing about this foundation is that it s water resistant, which means that I can even wear it to
the beach without being afraid of any accidents.

otherwise it will form dry patches. If you tend to get ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

other makeup products. It literally covers everything, from vitiligo to acne, acne scarring, unevenness

necessary to use on special occasions for people with such problematic skin. If you are afraid of
looking cakey, that won t happen with this

Blindness James Saramago Analysis
The Opportunity for Change That Hunger Provides
Hunger is a part of the human experience that appears in literature across the globe. People require
daily nourishment, and bond over sharing meals together. The most basic of human needs are those
that are required for physical safety. Without nourishment, a body will die. Entire communities have
been devastated by famines in history. Authors of the 20th century from various countries understood
the significance of finding food to sustain the body. When there is scarcity of food, it dominates a
person s interests over other needs like social and emotional needs. This provides a window of
opportunity in literature. When a character experiences hunger, it strips them down to their most basic
form, as a body needing to survive. Hunger in literature causes people to break social customs and
behave in ways they otherwise would not. As civilized behaviors and customs are replaced with the
desire to survive, characters respond with both great selfishness and selflessness depending on their
inner condition.
A novel that provides many examples of this is Blindness, the 1995 novel by Portuguese author José
Saramago. The story is set in a city that experiences a bizarre epidemic of blindness the degrading of
civilization that follows quickly after. Those who have been struck with blindness early on were
rounded up into a quarantine and small food portions were provided on schedule. Dishonesty arises as

Rabbit Proof Fence Sociology
Rabbit proof fence directed by Phillip Noyce is a film about a true story involving three half cast
Aboriginal young girls from a school they were obliged to attend, far away from their hometown
under the laws made by A.O.Neville a government official. In 1931, they were taken away from their
mothers and were forcibly moved to the Moore River Settlement School in Perth, Western Australia.
They were educated in the British ways eventually to become servants and compulsorily had to adapt
to a new culture, while forgetting about their native traditions and morals. The government considered
half casts as children which they felt responsible for taking them to established schools where they

Designing A Business Plan For A Future Bed And Breakfast
I am in the process of designing a business plan for a future bed and breakfast that I would like to
open in a couple of years. I would like to purchase some land outside of Austin, TX in order to build
this bed and breakfast. I plan on starting this company with a partner, my younger sister, Mercy. We
want to know if we should start a general partnership, with both of us as a general partner, or a limited
partnership, with me as the general partner and Mercy as the limited partner.
In addition to the type of partnership we are considering establishing, we have already decided that we
will be using the entity theory of partnerships, which regards partnerships as a distinct and separate
entity from either of us, the partners. As such, both Mercy and I will be able to enter into taxable
transactions with the partnership. And this means that the partnership can hold the title to the land, is
not legally liable for our (the partners) debts, and is required to file annual returns using the Form
1065 reporting operation results.
Our main question is that we would like to know what type of debt we should take out in order to
establish this partnership and be able to finance the land in which to build the bed and breakfast. We
want to know, and understand, the difference between recourse debt and non recourse debt and how it
pertains to a partnership as well as to the individual partners. We would also like to know which of
these two types would be the best type of debt to incur

The primary focus of this article was to inform its readers of the multiple aspects of the health care
system in the United States as a whole. Within this article, the subjects of health care that are reviewed

Rudyard Kipling s Kim
Kim gives a vivid picture of the complexities in India under British rule. It shows the life of the bazaar
mystics, of the natives, of the British military. There is a great deal of action and movement, for
Kipling s vast canvas painted in full detail. The dialogue in the novel makes use of Indian phrases

native behavior and shrewdness.
Setting:
The time the novel took place was around the late nineteenth century. The story takes place in a hot

ecosystem of Apple. Apple Company is often blamed by other companies to disobeying their patents
and also it has lost some trials as well. Such type of things can damage Apple s reputation in market.
In 2012, Tim Cook became a new CEO after the death of Steve Jobs, which was the biggest loss for
Apple Company. After some time John Browett and Scott Forstall left the firm, this posed negative
impact on management.
In tech industry, Apple s gross profit margin is highest but according to fear of forecasters that Apple s
current margin will not be continued due to increasing in prices and tough competition.
Opportunities

46 In The Day-Personal Narrative
It s 2:46 in the morning. Gracie, a 16 year old girl with long light brown hair with natural blonde
highlights and bright blue eyes, now dull, was walking home from a friend s party. It was a cold night
in Buffalo, New York and Gracie is now holding her fur jacket to her body for the warmth it gives.
She had been drinking with a couple friends just a half hour before.
Oh, I feel so sick, she groaned. Though her head and stomach hurt, she still walked on through the
empty streets of New York wrapping her arms around her body and heading home to get some much
needed sleep. She past a dark alley, the only light was from a street light only showing what lay
behind a couple inches past the wall, and immediately got a bad feeling about it. She started to walk a

She was terrified, being out on the streets at night with that person following her, and decided to call
her mother even though she knew she would be very mad at her. Pulling out her phone to make the
call, she saw a man with a hoodie and a muscular build standing on the sidewalk right behind her. She
started in a run this time, she just saw a man following her home! She needs to call someone; now.
She ran and ran until she found a small, quick stop on the corner and decided to go in there for help,
but she didn t make it far enough. The man stalking her, grabbed her and put a towel in her mouth and
a bag over head and dragged her to a van not far behind them. She twisted and turned trying to break
free of the grasp, but he held on too hard.
¨Where am I!¨ Gracie screamed, ¨Hello!? Anyone there?¨ She couldn t see a thing, it was pitch black
wherever she was. BAM! The sound of a heavy iron door slamming into the door frame sounded not
far away. Someone is here! She screamed for someone to let her out of this place she was taken to.

Ronald Reagan s Evil Empire Speech
In May 1981, Soviet leader, Yuri Andropov (a former chairman of the KGB) launched a program
called Operation RYAN ( Nuclear Missile Attack ) a response to the presumption that the United
States would orchestrate an imminent first strike attack. The program focused on compiling
intelligence on supposed contingency plans of the United States to launch a nuclear first strike against
the Soviet Union.
On September 14, 1982 President Reagan and Dr. Edward Teller (father of the hydrogen bomb) held a
meeting to discuss how to develop the most effective method of defense against intercontinental
ballistic missiles (ICBMs). Teller wrote Reagan a two page letter in which he called his research the

This address was given while Congress was debating a resolution in support of a nuclear freeze, a
doctrine supported by the Soviet Union that would have prevented the deployment of U.S. cruise and
Pershing II Missiles in Europe. 1 In this speech, Reagan referred to the Soviet Union as focus of evil
in the modern world, asking that Americans to pray for the salvation of those living in totalitarian
darkness.
A couple of weeks later, on March 23 1983, Reagan proposed the Strategic Defense Initiative. In his
plan, Reagan believed such program would improve the security of the United States while
simultaneously gaining a strategic and technological advantage over the Soviet Union.
The Strategic Defense Initiative (SDI), also known as Star Wars, was first initiated in March 1983
under President Ronald Reagan. The purpose of such a program was to develop a sophisticated anti
ballistic missile system to that would prevent missile attacks from other countries, specifically the
Soviet Union. The Strategic Defense Initiative was the United States response to possible nuclear
attacks from afar. Concerns raised about the program included contravening the anti ballistic missile
(ABM) of the Strategic Arms Limitation Talks () to embark upon groundbreaking research into a
national defense system that could make nuclear weapons

Military cultural awareness can be defined as knowledge of cultural factors and the comprehension of
their impact on the planning and conduct of military operations. It reduces battlefield friction and
improves a unit s ability to accomplish its mission by giving insight into the intent of various actors
within our battlespace and the way these actors interact within groups, supporting planners in

Russians are currently involved in three conflicts to include Syria, Ukraine and the North Caucasus.
Economic Variable: Russia s economy is largely based on the production of oil, natural gas and metals
like steel and aluminum. Swings in global prices on these exported goods make the economy
vulnerable to boom and bust cycles. Although Russia underwent a 2 year recession from 2014 to 2016,
the global growth and trade started to strengthen at the end of 2016 with the economy showing a sign
of overcoming the recession that was caused by the shocks of low oil prices and economic sanctions.
The economy is mostly based on a market based system after the collapse of the Soviet Union. With a
high concentration of wealth in officials hands due to a mostly privatized industry with notable
exceptions in the energy, transportation, banking, and defense related sectors.
Social Variable: Russia s ethnic groups are mostly homogenous while having small groups of Tatars

Henrik Ibsen Marrital Relationships Essay
Henrik Ibsen Marrital Relationships In Henrik Ibsen s plays, A Doll s House and Hedda Gabler he
develops marital relationships between characters along with the plays plot. Having unique
characteristics the different actors respond differently to the situations given to them. I will be
analyzing these marital relationships between characters while comparing and contrasting these results
between the three plays. The areas that I will be examining include gender roles, social influences and
expectations, interpersonal dynamics and the context of motherhood.
In A Doll s House Ibsen focuses on the way women are seen, especially in the context of marriage and

The big lie that Nora has been living is her entire marriage with Torvald and who she really is deep
inside. Nora is bursting with independency and tward the end of the play this becomes evident. The
knowledge of this could corrupt the home and kids and destroy everything she ever had. This unique
aspect of this situation is that this environment that she is living in the present is the exact same as the
life she lived as a child with her father. In the second play Hedda Gabler portrays a character that is
different from that of Nora. Hedda speaks clearly and tells it how it really is. She has absolutely no
respect for her husband and this is clear to everyone except him. Hedda has no joy in life and
condemns anything that puts happiness in everyone else. There is a clear example of this characteristic
from the very moment Hedda is introduced to us. The first comment is directed to the person that had
left the door open and allowed all of the sunlight to enter into the room. Other examples are her lack
of joy for her pregnancy, the fact she has no real meaningful relationships with anyone and finally her
lack of respect and love for her own husband.
In these two play the role of the husbands is also are highly contrasted. Torvald is the man of the
house and whatever he says is what goes. He tells Nora her place in the house and as long as she

Reflection of Juduasm Essay
Judaism is a religious tradition with origins dating back nearly four thousand years, rooted in the
ancient region of Canaan, which is now known as the land between Israel and Palestine. Judaism did
not emerge until the 1st century C.E. Judaism traces its heritage to the covenant God made with
Abraham and his lineage that God would make them a sacred people and give them a holy land. The
primary characters of Israelite culture include the great patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the
prophet Moses, who received God s law at Mt. Sinai. Judaism is a tradition grounded in the religious,
ethical, and social laws as they are articulated in the Torah. The Torah is known as the first first five
books of the Hebrew Bible. Jews refer to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Christianity and Judaism are different but they are not that much different from each other. You you
can say Christianity is Judaism s little brother because most of Christianity teachings derived from
Judaism. This fact forms a mystery, which is how these two relegions can be so close but yet so far
away from each other.
There are many different ways of practicing Judaism that are amongst us today, and many different
types of people that practice them. The traits and traditions that I find to be significant and interesting
in Judaism are Hanukkah, a Bar Mitzvah, and The Kashrut. There are many more traits and traditions
of Judaism that I favor, and there are many traits and traditions that I might question if I thought about
converting to Judaism; however, these are the traditions that I believe to be some of the most widely
known traditions throughout the world. My favorite part of Judaism that I would have no problem
being a part of would have to be a young man s Bar Mitzvah. A Bar Mitzvah is a rite of passage for a
13 year old boy to become a man. Why is this something to look forward to? Because for a young
boys Bar Mitzvah the boy usually gets a large amount of money. Now this money doesn t usually
come in small amounts; however, it is known to come in six to seven figures all together. This may

The Structure and Agency Debate
Introduction The structure and agency debate is a common one in the field of sociology and different
theorists come up with different ways of accounting for the actions of social actors. This essay takes
the position that structuration solves the problem of this much contested debate. Initially key concepts
and elements of structuration will be pointed out .These elements include structure, agency, social
systems and power amongst many others. Subsequently, there will be engagement of a discussion of
different schools of thought and finally it will be demonstrated how structuration prevails over the
structure agency debate. Socialization Socialization is an ongoing process in which individuals obtains
a personal identity, learns norms, values and behaviour appropriate to his/her position. People
constantly require approval of the things they do, they continually seek to be socially competent and to
be accepted by those around them. It is human nature to want to be similar from others in order to be
accepted in a certain social spheres but at the same time wanting to be different and unique. There are
primary and secondary agents of socialization. The primary agents are those that are basic and
fundamental to social beings, these include family and friends from which we learn behaviour at
young age; they transmit norms and values to us. The secondary agents are those that are more
external to us than family such as social institutions/organisations, these include schools,

The Representation Of Mental Illness
When thinking of mental illness, what image pops into your head? An unstable old lady in restraints
talking to herself? A pre teen harming themselves in a bathroom stall? Norman Bates? The Joker? All
these inaccurate examples stem from the medias representation of mental illness. This is an important
issue to address as, society has been fed these wrongful depictions for decades and it can be
challenging to overcome and shift these presentations (Uwujaren). The representation of mental ill
health in film, exploits mental illness especially when it is a negative depiction. This can have
detrimental effects to real individuals who suffer from mental illnesses (Uwujaren). Horror films in
particular spew a certain tone and mood; many times the villain suffers from mental illness, when this
occurs audiences immediately associate mental ill health with these characters (Goodwin204).
Stigmatization and stereotypes are conjured by the film industry that leave audiences believing all
mental ill people are like what they see in films. The film industry repeatedly uses mental illness to
portray negative characters, this can be detrimental in reality. On an ethical scale, the exploitation of
people for entertainment is wrong. Staggering amounts of people suffer from mental illness; while the
media presents these illnesses to generate money, real people suffer (Holliday). Some questions we
must ask are: What is a just or unjust depiction? How do we determine what is ethically

Organizational Change And The Implementation Of The Change...
Introduction:
Organisational change and the implementation of the change is a relevant issue when analysing the
Nora case. Organisation change is the ability of an organisation to change over time and is reliant on
the ability of the organisation to change the individual behaviour of individual employees (Robertson,
Roberts and Porras, 1993). Organisational change is a common occurrence in modern organisations
and the change can come from new employees to new strategies. It is relevant in the case where
organisational change is occurring however a lack of communication about the change has cause
issues among the organisation and its clients. The iceberg model created by George Clampitt (2005)
will be used in the analysis of the case and therefore recommendations can be made based on the
conclusions.
Background:
The unexpected consequence of implementing change is a relevant issue when analysing the Nora
case. Nora is a social worker at Bridges Care and Village, Clevedon, South Auckland. Charity Trust
National controls the operations and Bridges Care and Village, is one of the care centres they provide
for the elderly. The organisation was originally structured using a communal based model; drug,
alcohol, social, and child services. Charity Trust National now seek to change the organisations
structure and split services into three categories; age, community and residential. Georgina, one of the
staff tells Nora that there will be change to the whole organisation, resulting

but advertisements are supposed to expose the consumers to your product. Maybe I?m just a little
uptight when I expect the commercial to tell me something about the product. For years music videos
have been venues in which artist can show off other performing skills may it be acting or dancing.
They were originally created for promotional purposes. These promotions are generally used to show
the artist in a different light. Of course there are commercials for artist?s records as well. One
commercial in particular bothered me. There is an R B artist by the name of ?Tank? it is obvious that
he cares about his appearance because of his well chilled physique, but he has one commercial where
he is working out; doing sets of bench presses, push up, pull ups and so forth. What bothers me about
the commercial is that you don?t hear any of his music and just watch him work out. From my
understanding what the consumer is buying is his music and not his body. I know that sex sells but it
seems to me that advertisers no longer want to do any work, just slap an attractive body on screen or
paper and call it a day.

Pakistan Is A Complex Country
Pakistan is a complex country, both because of harsh physical terrain and because of a historical
unpredictable government. Pakistan is constantly in the news, and a topic of discussion in The United
States. Many of the fighters the American forces are fighting in Afghanistan come from Pakistan, or at
least find a safe haven in the mountains of western Pakistan. In addition, Pakistan is a nuclear armed
country that has a shaky government at best. I find it fascinating that a country that has a government
with such a sporadic history filled with attempts to overthrow it and coups maintain a nuclear arsenal.
How was this possible? I know that the United States and its allies put much effort into keeping
countries such as Iran and North Korea from attaining nuclear weapons. What was going on during the
development of Pakistan s nuclear program? While Pakistan is an ally of the United States, in the
region that Pakistan is located that could change quickly. In addition, I feel that you must prove that
you are a stable country and society before you are permitted to possess such powerful weapons.
Pakistan provides a very interesting topic of discussion that some people may not be aware. The two
reasons listed above are the main reason I chose to write about Pakistan, knowing little else about the
country, but through my research, I found that there is more to Pakistan than just those two areas,
beginning with how the country initially formed. Pakistan formed on

Reflection On Entrepreneurship
In the world of tutoring, there are an abundant amount of ways that one can go about teaching a
student. Although this is true, there are some ways that tend to work better than others. Tutoring has a
large amount of do s and don ts that we as tutors should make sure we take into account before we
begin our interaction with the students to which we are tutoring. Before coming into this internship, I
had a very general knowledge of tutoring, as I have been a tutor in previous years. After this week s
reading and videos that were assigned, I have gained a deeper knowledge of what exactly is expected
out of a tutor in and out of every session. Before diving into this week s reading and videos, there
were already aspects of being a tutor that I knew were required. This would include: having a plan
before every tutoring session and being patient with every student that you tutor. When it comes to
having a plan before every tutoring session, I feel like that is something that is one of the most
important aspects of being a successful tutor. When, as a tutor, you know the student you are working
with, it is beneficial to make sure that you prepare ahead of time for the session with that student. If
the student has provided you beforehand with the topics and papers that they are wanting to work, it is
imperative to look into them and start working on revising them before you meet with the student. If
you do this, and you know ahead of time what exactly you are needing to speak with the student
about, you will be able to use your allotted time efficiently. As a tutor, if you go about this approach
with any and every session that you can, you will be able to provide each student that you are able to
tutor. Patience is also something that is extremely useful and needed in tutoring. Often times, a student
will not understand what you are trying to teach them the first time. If you go about this in a negative
way, no learning from the student will be able to be had. Although that is true, if you approach each
session with an ample amount of patience, you will be able to teach the student the different subjects
that you are intending on teaching them. Without patience, trying to be a tutor is virtually impossible.

  • 2. Management Style As you may know, different management styles are required in different parts of the world. It is important to choose the right management style for each situation, which is a key to success for an organization. All managers use a management process which consists of planning, organizing, leading and controlling. So they have to perform many roles in an enterprise. What they can do with various situations will totally depend on their style of management. A management style is an overall method of leadership used by a manager (Lessem et al, 1999). This essay will first demonstrate different types of management styles, and then discuss three key factors that can influence management style, with reference to Japan and America. Each of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The Japanese style takes a collective form of responsibility. Those manufactures produce high product quality at a relatively lower cost (Alston, 1986). The reason is that this sense of collective responsibility has positively affected the quality standards. Product quality is cooperatively achieved by workers and managers. Japanese tend to believe the group is more important than the individual (Alston, 1986). In terms of decision making, they probably attempt to gain consensus even if it might require more time. As to Americans, who are almost self centered, they apparently choose to make quick decisions on their own for immediate resolution (Anderson, 2009). The second factor is staff belonging. The general principle of Japanese management is that workers form a family (Alston, 1986). As a part of the corporate family , every member not only pays attention to their own salaries, but also considers the development of the company. Pay is only one reward. There is also a sense of belongingness and support that employees receive from their corporations. On the contrary, Americans tend to indicate that there is no need for them to become familiar with one organization and colleagues before they are off again on their trips (Wellens, 1980). Perhaps individual freedom is more essential than staff belonging in their mind. This different attitude leads to diverse management styles. One consequence for Japanese is the practice of lifetime employment. The ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

All the women were in the union; it was a strong force to backed them up. In 1983, the Equal Value Amendment Regulations passed as an amendment to the Equal Pay Act. The European Court of Justice had found that UK legislation was not sufficient to provide for equal work for equal value for all employees. The new legislation gave women the right to go to an employment tribunal on a new ground: that they felt their work was of equal value to men in the same organization. The women at Ford used this to challenge Ford s discriminatory job evaluation scheme, but the employment tribunal ruled against them and turned down their appeal in 1984. With their renewed hopes once again unfulfilled by the law, the women at Ford took strike action in December 1984. (Source 4) Did the men support them? Some workingmen helped the women in the strike. One of the most prominent themes in the novel would be collective responsibility. • 8. The Central Powers of World War I World War I took place between 1914 and 1918. It was a fight between the Central Powers and the Allies. The Allies included America, Britain, France, and Russia. The Central Powers were Germany, Austria Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire, which is now considered Turkey. The United States was involved in the war for a short period of time; it entered the war very late. There was a deadlock between the Allies and Central Powers, but Germany knew that they were going to lose the war because of the United States entering; they wanted to seek an armistice. The Allied Powers ended up winning, and forced Germany to agree to the harsh terms in the armistice they had written up. The United States faced many challenges and trouble in its own country after the war. Towards the end of the war, troop movements contributed to a worldwide influenza epidemic. The disease took more than 500,000 lives alone in the United States alone in 1918 and 1919. The epidemic even killed a larger amount of people worldwide than the amount of people that had died in the war. The epidemic arose in two stages. The first phase, identified as the three day fever, appeared without warning in the late spring of 1918. Few deaths were reported. Victims recovered after a few days. When the disease surfaced again that fall, it was far more severe. Scientists, doctors, and health officials could not pinpoint this plague which was striking so viciously and fast, evading treatment and resisting control. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

He is placed between the prophets Hosea and Amos; this information can be used later in determining the time in which his book was written. The book of Joel is divided into four chapters. In the book there is no true understanding about Joel himself, except his name and his father s name. The theme of the Book of Joel is that salvation will come to Judah and Jerusalem only when the people turn to Yahweh. The prophet Joel plays a very significant role in the Bible and also has a message of great importance to deliver to the people of Yahweh. The Book of Joel in the Bible stressed four main points. Joel always had an original approach when he faced the problems in his time. Because of Joel s duty as a preacher of repentance he takes high nobility among the twelve prophets. It is also stated that he is the son of Pethuel. Like Hosea, he [Joel] distinguished himself from others of the same name, by the mention of his unknown father (Pusey 143). It can also be possible that Joel was an inhabitant of Judah, or even a citizen of Jerusalem. This can be proven by the constant repetition of the words Zion and children of Zion (2: I, 23), and also of Judah and Jerusalem (3: I, 6). Many scholars believe that Joel was also a priest because of his wide range of knowledge of the Temple and also of the worship programs. It is concluded from the works that Joel has written that he was a very literate person or according to John Watts, a literary prophecy that is, prophecy composed to be read . This can be seen through Joel s extensive prophetic writing and also in his poetic and descriptive writings. The best example is seen in the writings of the Locust plague (2:3 11) and a drought (1:15 20). Although there are many diverse opinions of when Joel lived or who he was, Yates gives the best overview of whom he was. Through a lot of trial and error, I have found five foundations which actually satisfy the needs of oily skin, so I will summarize my reviews in this article. Please not that not all oily skins are the same that s exactly what makes the process of choosing perfect foundation so difficult. Being a professional makeup artist, I have found that different clients with oily skin need different foundation, which is why I made a useful comparison that will help you make the right decision. Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet + Matifying Foundation This foundation works perfectly for my skin. The best thing about this foundation is that it s water resistant, which means that I can even wear it to the beach without being afraid of any accidents. • 12. Blindness James Saramago Analysis The Opportunity for Change That Hunger Provides Hunger is a part of the human experience that appears in literature across the globe. People require daily nourishment, and bond over sharing meals together. The most basic of human needs are those that are required for physical safety. Without nourishment, a body will die. Entire communities have been devastated by famines in history. Authors of the 20th century from various countries understood the significance of finding food to sustain the body. When there is scarcity of food, it dominates a person s interests over other needs like social and emotional needs. This provides a window of opportunity in literature. When a character experiences hunger, it strips them down to their most basic form, as a body needing to survive. Hunger in literature causes people to break social customs and behave in ways they otherwise would not. As civilized behaviors and customs are replaced with the desire to survive, characters respond with both great selfishness and selflessness depending on their inner condition. A novel that provides many examples of this is Blindness, the 1995 novel by Portuguese author José Saramago. The story is set in a city that experiences a bizarre epidemic of blindness the degrading of civilization that follows quickly after. Those who have been struck with blindness early on were rounded up into a quarantine and small food portions were provided on schedule. Dishonesty arises as the individuals in the wards ... I would like to purchase some land outside of Austin, TX in order to build this bed and breakfast. I plan on starting this company with a partner, my younger sister, Mercy. We want to know if we should start a general partnership, with both of us as a general partner, or a limited partnership, with me as the general partner and Mercy as the limited partner. In addition to the type of partnership we are considering establishing, we have already decided that we will be using the entity theory of partnerships, which regards partnerships as a distinct and separate entity from either of us, the partners. As such, both Mercy and I will be able to enter into taxable transactions with the partnership. And this means that the partnership can hold the title to the land, is not legally liable for our (the partners) debts, and is required to file annual returns using the Form 1065 reporting operation results. Our main question is that we would like to know what type of debt we should take out in order to establish this partnership and be able to finance the land in which to build the bed and breakfast. A pre teen harming themselves in a bathroom stall? Norman Bates? The Joker? All these inaccurate examples stem from the medias representation of mental illness. This is an important issue to address as, society has been fed these wrongful depictions for decades and it can be challenging to overcome and shift these presentations (Uwujaren). The representation of mental ill health in film, exploits mental illness especially when it is a negative depiction. This can have detrimental effects to real individuals who suffer from mental illnesses (Uwujaren). Horror films in particular spew a certain tone and mood; many times the villain suffers from mental illness, when this occurs audiences immediately associate mental ill health with these characters (Goodwin204). Stigmatization and stereotypes are conjured by the film industry that leave audiences believing all mental ill people are like what they see in films. The film industry repeatedly uses mental illness to portray negative characters, this can be detrimental in reality. On an ethical scale, the exploitation of people for entertainment is wrong.
