Manic Depression In America
I have Manic Depression. This is not a pity party, this is reality. With that comes an abundance of
baggage and difficulties. Often, I am asked what this really is, and how it truly effects me. Life can
sometimes feel as if a lead blanket is on top of me, weighing me down and preventing me from even
moving. The chemical balance in my brain feels like a father yelling at his child to do something, and
my body simply responds with apathy, a yawn towards the world s responsibilities. Food has always
been a fascinating and infuriating subject in terms of my issues. Food is both my enemy and my best
friend, but neither of these are the roles they should have played. As an enemy, food was to be avoided
at all cost. It was often that I skipped ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since these care givers are the first people that a child interacts with, and are often the primary
interaction for a child until the beginning of school, they are inherently the sole role model for a child.
Children often collect the same mannerisms, behavioral complexes, and may even vote in the same
way that their initial care givers have voted. By this logic, if a child grows up in a household with the
aforementioned helicopter parents, they are likely to treat their offspring in the same manner, even if
they are aware of the damage it may have caused them, because subconsciously they do not know how
else to treat a child. To solve this problem of generational trauma, the conversation has to begin that
Millennial, Generation Z , and future generations should be self aware and open about the adversity
they have faced from their parents. A suppressive culture is no longer one that can thrive, and the only
way to change this is through active and open

Sacrament, Pope Leo X, St. Peter s Basilica, Edict of Worms, Peasant s War, Habsburg Valois Wars,
Suleiman the Magnificent, Schmalkaldic Wars, Peace of Augsburg
1. Sacrament. A sacrament is a Christian site recognized as of particular importance and significance.
There are various views on the existence and meaning of such rites. Many Christians consider the
sacraments to be a visible symbol of the reality of god, as well as a means by which God enacts his
grace.
2. Pope Leo X, was pope from 9 March 1513 to his death in 1521. The second son of Lorenzo the
Magnificent, ruler of the Florentine Republic, he was elevated to the cardinalate in 1489. He is known
primarily for his papal bull against Martin Luther and subsequent failure too stern the Protestant
Reformation, which began during his reign when Martin Luther (1483 1546) published the 95 Theses
and nailed them to the door of the Castle Church in Witenburg.
3. St. Peter s Basilica is an Italian Renaissance Church in Vatican City, the papal enclave within the
city of Rome. Designed principally by Donate Bramante, Michelangelo, Carlo Maderno and Gian
Lerinzi Bremen. St. Peter s is the most renowned work of Renaissance architecture and is also one of
the largest churches in the world. While it is neither the mother church of the Catholic Church nor the
cathedral of the Diocese of Rome, St. Peter s is regarded as one of the holiest Christian shrines.

Life Of An Autistic Person
Imagine living a life in which everything you say or do is hardly understandable. Could you deal with
the frustration that comes with having to always depend on someone for simple things such as using
the bathroom, asking for a glass of water or simply writing your own name? This is the daily life of an
Autistic person. Autism is a big learning, developmental disorder which causes people to mentally and
socially process things slower. As time goes by the number of kids with autism gradually continues to
increase and even though there is no cure for it yet, it can still be treated. Autism affects a person s
way of learning, it makes them have trouble interacting with others, and many people and students
tend to bully and misjudge them. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An example of the physical ways of how they don t interact with others is that they isolate themselves
from everyone else by usually playing by themselves as if they were in their own world. This leads to
their emotional gap of interaction with others to increase as they get older. This causes for them to not
make any emotional attachments to those who care for them. The only emotional connection they have
is either their mother or someone who is extremely close to them. I am extremely close to one of my
autistic cousin whose name is Raul. This emotional connection was built through extensive hours of
interaction which included: playing with him, taking care of his personal needs, as well as learning his
way of speech. It is hard for them to make relationships with others since most of the time they
depend on their parents and/or guardians to know what they want or expect to have. Building an
emotional connection with an autistic child takes up a lot of time and effort. This limits their
communication skills with different people other than their family

Type A Personality Type
The automatic nervous system is equipped with multiple automatic functions necessary for the body s
activities to function properly, such as breathing or maintaining a steady heart rate (Kidshealth.org,
2011). Another function that helps with responding to demands to threats is stress, which helps
motivate an individual to perform under pressure, or even protect themselves in a dangerous situation
(Segal et al., 2016). Although its main objective is to protect and motivate, stress in extreme amounts
can begin to cause physiological and emotional problems, ranging from heart and coronary problems
to an irritable behaviour (Mayo Clinic Staff, 2016). In order to determine the possible causes of
coronary disease, cardiologists Friedman (1959) ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This theory was introduced in the late 1920s by Walter Cannon and Philip Bard as an argument to the
James Lange theory, which supports that emotional changes occur after the body s nervous system
creates physiological changes. Cannon attempted to disprove this by conducting an experiment in
1915 that involved testing on cats, and severing the afferent nerves of their sympathetic branch. By
doing so, he proved the simultaneous occurrence of emotional and physiological changes and
supported it using neurobiological science (Sincero,

The Universal Theme Of Power In Olemet s Play Oleanna
Through italics, capitalization, and length of discourse per character, Mamet s play Oleanna develops
the universal idea of power as a constant struggle amplified by gender tension and the human
tendency to crave power.
Mamet uses length of speech and interruptions to demonstrate that people become desperate when
powerless and will do anything to regain power. The play begins with a long monologue by John. He
talks on the phone and completely ignores Carol, because she holds little power in the relationship of
professor and student. John is enveloped in his own world and pays no attention to Carol. The phone
is a symbol of power for John and he uses it to interrupt Carol and belittles her perspective. Near the
end of Act One, Carol seems like she is gathering the courage to tell John a secret about her life that
she has never told anyone before, but the phone interrupts: All of my life... (The phone rings.)...
(JOHN goes to the phone and picks it up) and he continues to argue on the phone for an entire page
(Mamet 38). Carol is powerless and therefore insignificant, so John ignores her and worries about his
house. Power is a finite resource; consequently, people compete for the limited power. Mamet uses
interruptions and length of dialogue to express who is in control. Carol has gained the upper hand as
Act Three begins. John attempts to lecture Carol like he has done in all the previous acts, however,
Carol interjects:
CAROL: I was most surprised you asked me.

Corporate Cost, Human Resource Management Cost
As corporate cost is the cost associate with Treasury cost, Human resource management cost. Acitivity
based costing seeks to identify cost drivers that are directly link all the activities e.g. support activities
and production activities to the product manufactured or service provided. The cost of all those
activities are assigned to products or services via the activity cost driver, according to the each product
relative consumption of these activities. Allocating corporate overheads based on the use of volume
related cost driver alone can produce the misleading cost information such as inappropriate allocation
can lead to faulty conclusions about the relative product profitability.
Whether corporate costs should be allocated to individual divisions when an business has more than
one division that depends on whether the corporate costs are incurred primarily to support divisions
business activities and whether the allocation can be reliably determined. For example, if the
divisional companies are not closely related to the corporate costs and similarly the corporate costs are
not necessarily incurred to facilitate the operation of each division then arguably the corporate costs
should not be allocated to divisions.
The allocation division also depends on the nature and type of the business, the purpose of the
corporate costs allocation process and how divisions are divided. For example, if the change of
corporate cost is in proportionate with the increase or decrease of

Affluenza, The Truman Show
In everyday life you are exposed to media. The media uses techniques such as: propaganda, product
placement, and facts to alter how you view a certain thing. You may not realize how the media twist
and turns such little details to change your perception. My personal view on many things were
changed in time as little as a week. We watched Affluenza, The Truman Show, and many documentary
s that showed how the media can change how you think. One technique that many Medias use is
advertisement. They use advertisement to get you to buy whatever they are trying to sell. Most
advertisements use statistics that are realistic, scare tactics, product placement, and some even show
bias toward another. In the Truman Show, Truman s wife was advertising coco and a knife. She kept
repeating that, that was what Truman drank and used to cook with. She made sure the label was facing
forward when she was talking about it, this is an example of product placement. This technique of
using advertisement was to pull the viewers watching the show to go out and buy the items. They may
also squeeze in sponsors that you may not even realize. For example in the movie elf Coca Cola was
hidden throughout the movie, but was never talked about generally. It catches many eyes and
promotes the product itself without having to even mention it. ... Show more content on

have it. This technique causes many people to go and buy the new item because it s newer and They
will be accepted if they buy it . Affluenza also explain how people seek self esteem when shopping, so

Marley Quinn Marketing
The marketing for Harley Quinn will follow that of what has been used to promote Suicide Squad, as
well as other superhero action movies, both in the DC and Marvel Universe. Unlike the Marvel
movies, Harley Quinn is coming after Harley Quinn s introduction in the Suicide Squad movie.
Marvel did an opposite approach when it came to their superhero team movie, The Avengers, where
the characters who made up the super team were given introduction movies before the release of the
film that brings them all together. However, the marketing strategies that they used who be of interest
to Harley Quinn, because their objective, to bring in audience members who were more interested in
The Avengers than the individual movies, matches ours. For Thor: The Dark World, the trailer that
Marvel released put its most recognizable characters at the front and center. Harley Quinn, can borrow
from this tactic with its own trailer. While the character of Harley Quinn is currently not the most
recognizable character with in Gotham, her story does include two of the most popular characters in
comic book history. In the trailer we will include snippets of both the Joker, who does play a major
part to the plot, and Batman, who does not, so that audience members who are fans of those characters

How The Gospel Changed My Life
It s truly been an interesting week, and typically it is for me. Never a dull moment when you re on the
move sixteen hours a day and always doing something. I ve had many opportunities to share bits of
what I believe to be true and know to be right, as well as information about the gospel with my
customers as I go door to door selling Dish TV (Network). It s amazing how in the simplest
conversation so many things can come up and so many truths can be shared. For example, as a
missionary, you have a goal in mind to share the gospel and to teach with the power and authority
given to you by God and his Prophets which he has called. Yet, as a return mission who attends

each of them about the gospel and they are open and hear me out. I think they see the difference and
respect it and may have a desire to learn more. Three of the guys, Alexis, Calvin, and James are the
ones who have really paid the most attention. They don t swear around me, they don t offer me things
that would go contrary to what I believe. I had an experience last night after a long day s work, that
was amazing. They asked me why I would give two years of my life to serve a mission and get
rejected and set myself to just a tedious schedule. My only answer to them was this, Because it s true,
the gospel is true . Which lead on to me sharing a little of my conversion story when I was twenty
years old. I love, love, love sharing the gospel and last night I realized how blessed I am to be able to
do it word and deed. Every single day for the rest of the summer. Not only with these three guys but
with everyone I meet. It also had built the relationship between us guys in the office stronger, we are

Sex Offender Speech
Hello Ladies, I believe that a sex offender is a sex offender, from this course I have learned there are
multiple reasons a person may become a sex offender, it typically isn t a decision made over night.
Research has proved abusive behaviors are instilled at a young age through child abuse, and/or are
caused by mental health problems. I understand that is not the reason in all cases, of course drugs and
alcohol play a factor too. The behaviors don t just appear or just go away, they may lie dormant or
present in a subtle way, but they exist. Sexual predators adapt to their surroundings, so it doesn t
matter if they are in the military or not, if they want to commit a sexual assault they will. The military

Knapp s Relational Development Model
What forms of communication was Knapp s ideal of Relational Development model were identified.
Explain each stage and apply relevant examples.
According to Knapp s model of Relational Development, he described the stages in which a
relationship goes within the make up and break up steps of coming together and coming apart. This
blog will discuss each stage with examples.
When there is a bond between two individuals, the first overall part is the coming together stage. It is
when both parties interact with one another in the process of forming a relationship, this is called
Initiating. For example, the likeness of one another, their personality and what makes you like the
person, it is the combination of you and the other person. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Although the bonding stage is most likely where people intend to keep their relationship going
forever, sometimes it does not happen. Until now, the rank of divorce couples is higher than the rate of
committed couples.
Therefore, just like the coming together stages of a relationship there are five stages to coming apart.
The first sign of a relationship coming to an end is Differentiating, meaning the couple s
commonalities and differences are affecting them. In the course of this stage, the impetus of working
together stance instantly move from couple to individualistic . Temporary estrangement become a
solution. For that reason, the relationship shifts rapidly from differences to setting boundaries on the
couple s interaction. This is called the Circumscribing stage, which means to know everything you
need to know about your partner but you avoid it by going around the problem. It is like saying your
partner isn t sincere so you avoid the problem and not sort it out which includes less communication.
The fourth stage is Stagnating, simply means that once you find out your partner is unfaithful you
remain to do nothing about it. For instance, you know your partner is playing around so you let it carry
on until action is taken. Which eventually comes down to the final stage which is Terminating. This is
where relationship ends completely. Though it is hard to avoid relationships from getting to this stage

Summary Of The Book Of Judges
Women in the book of Judges The Book of Judges talks about ancient Israel, and how they extended
their territory by acquiring lands from the non Israelites. The book narrates how Israelites conquered
and reclaimed their lost land from non Israelites and how they used to turn from God whenever they
are satisfied. But it is written in the Bible that, the guilty are by no means cleared, as Exodus (34:7)
says this is the reason why the Lord used several Kings and Judges like Deborah to help the people of
Israel find their way back to Him. As the book reveals, it is evident that most of the judges were men
(as they were most of the times referred to as Judges). The book talks about a great woman Deborah,
also referred to as the bee , as a key judge in the entire book. This book unveils the importance of
women (through acts and strengths of Deborah (mainly) and other heroic female characters) and their
power to the readers. The Book of Judges narrates six women who are and will always be remembered
by their outstanding and remarkable work. They are, Achsah, Deborah, Jael, Japhthah s daughter,
Delilah and the identity of two of them is not revealed. O Connor (1980) suggests that, The book of
Judges demonstrates this disparity as observed; women assume a vital function in its set up as the
volume s subject is marginalization (278). Women are well known in three major roles, that is, being a
mother, a daughter or a mate. Despite these limited roles, the Book of Judges shows

Introduction:
Why we crave horror movie is a type of mini review written by Stephen King in playboy 1981 in

How Companies Are Managing The Foreign Exchange Risk...
1. Executive Summary
This paper discusses how companies are managing the foreign exchange risk through the use currency
options. For instance, some companies who didn t not take risk management seriously had resulted in
inefficient use of capital, increased liabilities, and reputation risk. Moreover, a lack of certainty can
cause confusion as to what a company s acceptance of risk is, such as a level of acceptance. Without
risk management, a company can become overconfident in its methods, which could lead to a
financial crisis. The failure to objectively take risks leads to bad results like a company taking
inappropriate risks not in the best long term interests of the firm. Furthermore, poor risk management

In order to minimise the effect of the potential losses due to foreign currency exchange rate, it
essential to understand the use of financial instrument.
Foreign exchange risk consists of three main types of exposures. First, transaction exposure is when a
firm has a contractual obligation under which it supposed to receive or pay a certain amount in a
currency that is different than its home currency. Transaction exposure has an effect of the firm s
income statement because the accounts payables or receivables can be affected by currency exchange
rates. Second foreign exchange exposure is the translation which impacts the balance sheet of the firm.
It occurs when consolidating financial statements of foreign units into a company s home currency.
The third type of foreign exchange exposure is the economic which influences a firm s cash flows
when exchange rates change. This type of exposure can impact assets, liabilities, or any type of
anticipated foreign currency cash exchange.
The starting point of any foreign exchange risk management plan is to identify the exchange exposure
faced. In controlling the foreign exchange risk, currency options have attained acceptance as very
helpful tools due to their exclusive nature. They are very critical and convey a much wider range of
hedging alternatives. Call options provide the right to the buyer to purchase the

Nations See Dramatic Decline in Fertility
Over the past half century, almost every nation has seen a dramatic fall in their fertility rates.
Population regulation differs through out the world based on the particular region. Populations can
stabilize through a variety of factors including modern communications, growing affluence,
urbanization, family planning and social reforms (Cunningham, 2013). China and the Indian state of
Kerala are examples of two very different methods to controlling population expansion. In the past
twenty years, total fertility dropped by more than half in China (Cunningham, 2013). The Chinese
regulations in place focus more on birth control rather then new social equality. This strategy depends
on strongly enforced policies set by the government, determining how many children a Chinese family
can produce. Chinese law provides a compulsory limit on reproduction that is punishable by law if an
individual exceeds the limits set. The strategy of strict laws with penalization is also combined with an
economic incentive for reducing births. A very different strategy regarding population stabilization can
be seen in Kerala, India. It involves a social justice strategy that believes social benefits as the solution
to family planning. This strategy is based on the assumption that unequal resource allocation is the
main problem that leads to a high population in developing countries (Cunningham, 2013). In Kerala,
providing a fair share of social benefits to everyone is seen as the key to family

In this lab, we became familiar with the importance of thermoregulation and the effects of temperature
on enzyme functions. In this exercise, we prepared five solutions. Four of the five solutions were
mixed with amylase (saliva), HCl, starch, and iodine and potassium iodine. The solutions were placed
in different temperatures and we used a spectrophotometer to determine the each absorbance readings.
A low absorbance indicates a low presence of starch and high enzymatic function. A high absorbance
indicates a high presence of starch and low enzymatic function. Also, in this lab we explored the
thermoregulation strategies and determined the effectiveness of each strategy. In this exercise, we

Based on Table 1 and Figure 1, the different range of temperatures tested had an effect on the
enzymatic reactions. It appears that the lower temperatures such as 0°C and 25°C displayed a high
absorbance. These results indicate that there was a high presence of starch and low enzymatic
function. In comparison, the higher temperatures such as 37°C and 95°C displayed a low absorbance.
These results indicated that there was a low presence of starch and high enzymatic function.
2. The optimum temperature for the enzymatic reaction is 37°C. This temperature is the average body
temperature for humans. This temperature is not too cold or too hot for enzymes to function.
3. In mammals, and increase in body temperature such as running a fever could cause enzymes to
denature due to the high temperature. Also, a decrease in body temperature such as hypothermia could
cause enzymes to slow down beyond normal cellular reactions or to not occur at all due to the low
temperatures.

Experiment 8: Phenol Alkylation Amber Chavis CHEM 2753 007 November 15, 2017
Objective/Purpose: This experiment was designed by conducting a substitution reaction to construct a
complex compound (2 methylphenoxyacetic acid) from two simple parts; also known as synthesis
converting simple molecules into more complex molecules. A purification technique known as
crystallization was used to purify the product. Suction filtration was used to filter out the product. The
experiment was completed over a three day experimental period. Procedure: In this experiment, 0.31 g
(2.87 mmol) of 2 methylphenol was suspended in a 10 mL Erlenmeyer flask along with 1 mL of water
and a stir bar. The flask was clamped onto a hotplate/stirrer and turned on so that the stir bar would
turn freely. Based on the amount of 2 methylphenol, 0.957 mL (0.00287 mmol) NaOH was calculated
and collected in a syringe. The NaOH was then added to the 2 methylphenol solution and allowed to
mix completely. In another 10 mL Erlenmeyer flask, 0.34 g (2.92 mmol) of sodium chloroacetate was
calculated based on the amount of 2 methylphenol and placed into the flask along with 1 mL of water.
The sodium chloroacetate solution was mixed until dissolved. The sodium chloroacetate solution was
poured into the 2 methylphenol and NaOH solution after it was fully dissolved using a microscale

with The United Kingdom. The country is surprisingly small and has a population of approximately 3
million people. It is a small island and the largest English speaking country in the Caribbean. It was a
British colony from 1665 to 1962 and that is probably one of the reasons why most of the people there

`` An Act Of Evil `` By O Toole
In 14th century mythological creatures like werewolves and vampires were blamed for violent crimes
and the cause of the crime was seen as supernatural, beyond human control. In today s society
criminals are still labeled as monsters, little effort is made to understand what influences their actions.
However criminals are too average human beings and examining why crimes are committed can help
law enforcement better handled and prevented future acts of crimes. Why do we label criminals
instead of understanding their behavior? What factors influence people to commit crimes? By
understanding the factors influencing the crime can future crimes be prevented? In an article by O
Toole called, Words Matter and Labels Make a Difference , she discusses how labels such as monster
limit the public from understanding why the crimes were committed. In the article, An Act of Evil?
When Monsters Kill , O Toole explains the reasoning behind a father killing himself and his two sons.
Janet Reitman discusses the life of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the man responsible for the Boston Marathon
bombing in the Rolling Stone article, Jahar s World . She interviews people close to Jahar to gain an
understanding of what made him execute the bombing.

The Benefits Of The Agricultural Industry
The USDA recorded value of crop production in the United States in the year 2015 was 186.2 billion
dollars. The agricultural industry in America is an economic giant. It provides a consistent food supply
to many countries around the world, not to mention the United Sates. It stimulates and stabilizes the
economy, all while bringing in billions of dollars every year. While these things are very beneficial to
this country, the agricultural industry also depends, at least in part, on funding from the government
through agricultural subsidies. The Free Dictionary (2003) defines agricultural subsidies as Payments
by the federal government to producers of agricultural products for the purpose of stabilizing food
prices, ensuring plentiful ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This program, which we still see in effect through CRP (Conservation Reserve Program) land, was
intended to be temporary, but it has lasted as a way to conserve the environment. Although the amount
of CRP land and the way that subsidies are issued has changed, the idea has carried on and so have
subsidies. Farmers today are still paid through subsidies whether they produce a good crop or not, so
to many, it seems very backward to pay farmers not to produce crops. Finally, as Bruckner (2016)
states, ...many advocates for reform have argued that when subsidies are unlimited, they provide the
nation s largest farms the financial resources to bid up land prices and drive their smaller neighbors
out of farming (p. 623). Subsidies as they are currently issued (without a limit) give a great advantage
to the largest farms in America, and hurt many small to mid sized farms. Urry (2015) says that in the
past two decades, only 10 percent of farms are using over 75 percent of subsidized government
funding. This is one of the major problems, not with the principal of agricultural subsidies, but with
the government policy surrounding agricultural subsidies. For this reason, government policy on
agricultural subsidies should be reformed to cut costs, ensure an environmental outlook, and make
spending more sensible. Agricultural subsidies were created to ensure that the farmers

A Comparison Of The Seven Year Itch, Trifles
In the past few weeks we have read several plays, The Seven Year Itch, Trifles, and Pomp and
Circumstance. Many aspects of them have stuck out to me, such as the setting and the personalities of
the characters in them. Another thing that intrigued me is that these three plays all take place in
different time periods. The era that a play takes place can impact its direction due to differences in
social classes and boundaries and even how the opposite sex is treated.
The first play I will be discussing, The Seven Year Itch was created by George Axelrod; this play takes
place is 1952. There is a big difference between this play and Trifles; women had more freedom to do
what they wanted and some of them even held jobs now, although rather low ... Show more content on

Up until the 1940 s women were pretty much property to their fathers and husbands. They cleaned and
did most of all the housework, while men went out and worked. In the early years of the 1900s women
were not allowed to own property in their own name; the woman s property that she did own became
her husband s when married. Women who protested in the Progressive Movement were reported as
being neurotic, wanting to intimidate men, be hysterical and homosexual. In only four states were
women allowed to vote, most urban areas were less tolerable of this issue ( Progressive ). Trifles is an
accurate example of the treatment women had in the American home. Mrs. Wright was basically a
prisoner in her own home. The women noticed things such as broken jars, the unclean towel, and for
some reason, a dead canary stuffed into the quilting basket, which shown that she was unhappy with
her new life. Mrs. Wright used to love to sing, but her husband made her quit. While the men belittled
the women s investigations around the Wright home, the women pretty much solved the crime. They
did keep Mrs. Wright out of trouble by not telling the men about their new discoveries. That goes to
show that women tend to pay more attention to the finer details while it may go unnoticed by an
uncaring eye

Grief, Loss, And Finding Meaning And Purpose
Grief, Loss, and Finding Meaning and Purpose Losing a loved one is very painful as it brings about
difficult emotions which may seem as if they may never end. While there are no standards of
accessing ways to grieve, there are healthier ways to cope with the pain. Noteworthy, everyone grieves
differently; some may withdraw and isolate themselves while others engage in activities that distracts
their grieving. Grieving depends upon a number of factors such as individual personality, life
experience and faith. Healing happens little by little, some may grieve in weeks while some may
grieve in years. Patience is imperative in the healing process; it allows the process to unfold naturally.
It crucial to point out that grief is a process made up of five stages; these are denial, anger (which is
characterized by blame shifting), bargaining, depression, and acceptance. If an individual experiences
these emotions, it means that reaction is natural and that one will heal eventually.
Cultural influences regarding death and loss. Culture can be defined as the ideals and the knowledge
of groups confined in a particular society. There is a broad difference in emotional processing of grief
among individuals within any culture. Each culture holds a different and distinctive belief and norms.
For instance in some cultures, death is perceived to involve different circumstance, like sleep, illness,
and old age. While in others death is to occur only when there is

work but for lower income. What is the job status of all employees that got laid off? Did the
employees find other work? Did they have to settle for a lower income job? Some of their programs
consist of employment fairs now, the unemployment checks, and in the video if they were going to
school they received more money. Place Matters In this video where you live at is very important for
access to healthy foods and to have a clean environment. When a family is in a bad environment and
no access to go to a market this is a set up to have chronic health problems to occur later on. In lower
class neighborhoods the video provided information that tobacco, fast food, and liquor is easy to find
rather than a fresh market or grocery store. There are poor ventilation systems made in the homes and
if a child has asthma it increases hospital visits. This puts stress on the parents with more money and

Summary Of The Hair-Raising Science Of Goose Bumps
My Summary of The Hair Raising Science Of Goose Bumps In The Hair Raising Science Of Goose
Bumps Adam Cole discusses the reasons why humans get goosebumps and the sciences behind it. The
science behind goose bumps is from our ancestors having fur to fluff up in certain situations, so we
kept the goose bumps even though we ve lost the advantage of looking scarier or staying warmer
ourselves ( Cole, Goose Bumps ).. The three reasons we get goose bumps are adrenaline, the cold, and
positive responses. For example, when we watch scary movies and get scared, we can get adrenaline
goose bumps. Another example is when you jump into a cold pool or walk into cold weather you get
goosebumps. A third example is when we listen to classical music or a chilly musical piece. So even
though we no longer have the fur that our ancestors had, we still get goose bumps that are supposed to
help us but they don t really anymore. My Summary of Yoga, Petting Puppies, Halloween: Banned By

21st Century Spin on Literature
In today s 21st century of life, there are millions and millions of books, short stories, and poems.
Authors have been scripting out different tales since before the 1st century. Therefore giving one
plenty of options when it comes to not only reading, but analyzing, evaluating, and even interpreting
the literature standpoint that you receive from picking up a good book. The three themes from the
book How to Read Literature Like a Professor, written by Thomas C. Foster, can be applied to pieces
of literature such as Frank Stockton s The Lady or the Tiger? , Shirley Jackson s The Lottery , and The
Minister s Black Veil by Nathaniel Hawthorne. Several themes in How to Read Literature Like a
Professor like Nice to Eat You: Acts of Vampires, Now Where Have I Seen Her Before?, and Is That a
Symbol? play into the famous short stories mentioned above. The Acts of Vampires is a theme that
deals with The Lady, or the Tiger? and how the corrupt older male strips away the females virtues and
youth. Now Where Have I Seen Her Before? deals with the short story The Lottery and how every
story comes from another story, and nothing is original because it is always a spin off of another book.
Lastly, Is That a Symbol? deals with The Minister s Black Veil and how symbolic the minister s black
veil really is. When one hears the word vampire, one automatically thinks of the evil monster that
sucks the blood and life out of people.

A Comparison OfThe Consolation Of Philosophy And Doctor...
Happiness is often thought to be something of relativity. What makes one person happy does not
necessarily bring happiness to another. Nevertheless, how happiness is defined, by no doubt, has
something to do with the characteristics of a culture and time. For example, the beginning of the sixth
century was characterized by many controversies in the newly officialized religion of Christianity
Arianism, to name one. Religion, at the time, became a big factor in defining true happiness. As
controversies got resolved, the use of religion as a means to defining happiness remained a constant
through the sixteenth century, but the influence became more on the need for reformation in the
Church. One author in the sixth century, Boethius, writes vividly on the idea of happiness in his The
Consolation of Philosophy. Similar points that Boethius makes about happiness can be found between
the lines of a sixteenth century writer, Christopher Marlowe s Doctor Faustus. Due to the difference in
the eras of which The Consolation of Philosophy and Doctor Faustus were written, the authors present
happiness in a manner relative to their time, while ultimately both agreeing that true happiness is
rooted in God. Both authors present their own understanding of what happiness is not in order to
better proclaim what it is. Boethius makes a point that happiness cannot be found in temporary things.
He writes, Do you really hold dear that kind of happiness which is destined to pass away

Since the multiple troubles the people had at that time did not originate just then but decades before.

Radio Frequency Identification ( Rfid ) Essay
Abstract Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a technology for automated identification of people
and products, and is getting more involved in our daily lives. RFID consists of a RFID tag or
transponder, a RFID reader or transceiver, and the data processing system has been evolving with
time. RFID technology is also helpful when used with money, but there is a main limitation while
using RFID technology. It is privacy and security. That is why, Electrical and computer engineers
work with this limitation, so RFID would be the future for all engineers.
Index Terms RFID Electromagnetics, term paper I.INTRODUCTION
For many people, using a card to access a building or a door, a key to start a car or validating an
underground ticket have become a routine without realizing that they are making use of a technology
that captures data because of the magnetic field. The technology is known as Radio Frequency
IDentification or RFID. [1] Just as people use RFID in their daily lives, this technology is also used in
objects, as the travel from manufacture to storage and finally the point of sale. Also, they carry RFID
tags like people do. People show their RFID cards and objects don t. These tags are read in different
ways and need greater detection distances.
RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) can be defined as an automatic identification technology
which uses radio frequency electromagnetic fields to identify objects carrying tags when they come

Jefferson Davis And The American Civil War
Jefferson Davis lived from (1808 1889) and was a Mexican War hero, a U.S. senator from Mississippi,
and U.S. secretary of war and president of the Confederate States of America for the duration of the
American Civil War (1861 1865). Prior to the start of the war, Davis had argued against secession, but
when Mississippi seceded he resigned from the U.S. Senate. In February 1861 he was elected

incredible and impressive political career before he became president of the Confederate states of
America, but he was appointed, not elected, to many of the offices he held in his antebellum career.
His limited experience and lack of study with electoral politics he was a handicap to his presidency,
and, perhaps more important, he lacked the personal qualities that made Abraham a successful

  • 2. Manic Depression In America I have Manic Depression. This is not a pity party, this is reality. With that comes an abundance of baggage and difficulties. Often, I am asked what this really is, and how it truly effects me. Life can sometimes feel as if a lead blanket is on top of me, weighing me down and preventing me from even moving. The chemical balance in my brain feels like a father yelling at his child to do something, and my body simply responds with apathy, a yawn towards the world s responsibilities. Food has always been a fascinating and infuriating subject in terms of my issues. Food is both my enemy and my best friend, but neither of these are the roles they should have played. As an enemy, food was to be avoided at all cost. It was often that I skipped ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Since these care givers are the first people that a child interacts with, and are often the primary interaction for a child until the beginning of school, they are inherently the sole role model for a child. Children often collect the same mannerisms, behavioral complexes, and may even vote in the same way that their initial care givers have voted. By this logic, if a child grows up in a household with the aforementioned helicopter parents, they are likely to treat their offspring in the same manner, even if they are aware of the damage it may have caused them, because subconsciously they do not know how else to treat a child. To solve this problem of generational trauma, the conversation has to begin that Millennial, Generation Z , and future generations should be self aware and open about the adversity they have faced from their parents. A suppressive culture is no longer one that can thrive, and the only way to change this is through active and open ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 4. Life Of An Autistic Person Imagine living a life in which everything you say or do is hardly understandable. Could you deal with the frustration that comes with having to always depend on someone for simple things such as using the bathroom, asking for a glass of water or simply writing your own name? This is the daily life of an Autistic person. Autism is a big learning, developmental disorder which causes people to mentally and socially process things slower. As time goes by the number of kids with autism gradually continues to increase and even though there is no cure for it yet, it can still be treated. Autism affects a person s way of learning, it makes them have trouble interacting with others, and many people and students tend to bully and misjudge them. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An example of the physical ways of how they don t interact with others is that they isolate themselves from everyone else by usually playing by themselves as if they were in their own world. This leads to their emotional gap of interaction with others to increase as they get older. This causes for them to not make any emotional attachments to those who care for them. The only emotional connection they have is either their mother or someone who is extremely close to them. I am extremely close to one of my autistic cousin whose name is Raul. This emotional connection was built through extensive hours of interaction which included: playing with him, taking care of his personal needs, as well as learning his way of speech. It is hard for them to make relationships with others since most of the time they depend on their parents and/or guardians to know what they want or expect to have. Building an emotional connection with an autistic child takes up a lot of time and effort. This limits their communication skills with different people other than their family ... • 5. Type A Personality Type The automatic nervous system is equipped with multiple automatic functions necessary for the body s activities to function properly, such as breathing or maintaining a steady heart rate (Kidshealth.org, 2011). Another function that helps with responding to demands to threats is stress, which helps motivate an individual to perform under pressure, or even protect themselves in a dangerous situation (Segal et al., 2016). Although its main objective is to protect and motivate, stress in extreme amounts can begin to cause physiological and emotional problems, ranging from heart and coronary problems to an irritable behaviour (Mayo Clinic Staff, 2016). This theory was introduced in the late 1920s by Walter Cannon and Philip Bard as an argument to the James Lange theory, which supports that emotional changes occur after the body s nervous system creates physiological changes. Cannon attempted to disprove this by conducting an experiment in 1915 that involved testing on cats, and severing the afferent nerves of their sympathetic branch. By doing so, he proved the simultaneous occurrence of emotional and physiological changes and supported it using neurobiological science (Sincero, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The Universal Theme Of Power In Olemet s Play Oleanna Through italics, capitalization, and length of discourse per character, Mamet s play Oleanna develops the universal idea of power as a constant struggle amplified by gender tension and the human tendency to crave power. Mamet uses length of speech and interruptions to demonstrate that people become desperate when powerless and will do anything to regain power. The play begins with a long monologue by John. He talks on the phone and completely ignores Carol, because she holds little power in the relationship of professor and student. John is enveloped in his own world and pays no attention to Carol. The phone is a symbol of power for John and he uses it to interrupt Carol and belittles her perspective. Near the end of Act One, Carol seems like she is gathering the courage to tell John a secret about her life that she has never told anyone before, but the phone interrupts: All of my life... (The phone rings.)... (JOHN goes to the phone and picks it up) and he continues to argue on the phone for an entire page (Mamet 38). Carol is powerless and therefore insignificant, so John ignores her and worries about his house. Power is a finite resource; consequently, people compete for the limited power. Mamet uses interruptions and length of dialogue to express who is in control. Carol has gained the upper hand as Act Three begins. John attempts to lecture Carol like he has done in all the previous acts, however, Carol interjects: CAROL: I was most surprised you asked me. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The cost of all those activities are assigned to products or services via the activity cost driver, according to the each product relative consumption of these activities. Allocating corporate overheads based on the use of volume related cost driver alone can produce the misleading cost information such as inappropriate allocation can lead to faulty conclusions about the relative product profitability. Whether corporate costs should be allocated to individual divisions when an business has more than one division that depends on whether the corporate costs are incurred primarily to support divisions business activities and whether the allocation can be reliably determined. For example, if the divisional companies are not closely related to the corporate costs and similarly the corporate costs are not necessarily incurred to facilitate the operation of each division then arguably the corporate costs should not be allocated to divisions. The allocation division also depends on the nature and type of the business, the purpose of the corporate costs allocation process and how divisions are divided. • 9. Affluenza, The Truman Show In everyday life you are exposed to media. The media uses techniques such as: propaganda, product placement, and facts to alter how you view a certain thing. You may not realize how the media twist and turns such little details to change your perception. My personal view on many things were changed in time as little as a week. We watched Affluenza, The Truman Show, and many documentary s that showed how the media can change how you think. One technique that many Medias use is advertisement. They use advertisement to get you to buy whatever they are trying to sell. Most advertisements use statistics that are realistic, scare tactics, product placement, and some even show bias toward another. In the Truman Show, Truman s wife was advertising coco and a knife. She kept repeating that, that was what Truman drank and used to cook with. She made sure the label was facing forward when she was talking about it, this is an example of product placement. This technique of using advertisement was to pull the viewers watching the show to go out and buy the items. They may also squeeze in sponsors that you may not even realize. It catches many eyes and promotes the product itself without having to even mention it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Marley Quinn Marketing The marketing for Harley Quinn will follow that of what has been used to promote Suicide Squad, as well as other superhero action movies, both in the DC and Marvel Universe. Unlike the Marvel movies, Harley Quinn is coming after Harley Quinn s introduction in the Suicide Squad movie. Marvel did an opposite approach when it came to their superhero team movie, The Avengers, where the characters who made up the super team were given introduction movies before the release of the film that brings them all together. However, the marketing strategies that they used who be of interest to Harley Quinn, because their objective, to bring in audience members who were more interested in The Avengers than the individual movies, matches ours. For Thor: The Dark World, the trailer that Marvel released put its most recognizable characters at the front and center. Harley Quinn, can borrow from this tactic with its own trailer. While the character of Harley Quinn is currently not the most recognizable character with in Gotham, her story does include two of the most popular characters in comic book history. • 12. How The Gospel Changed My Life It s truly been an interesting week, and typically it is for me. Never a dull moment when you re on the move sixteen hours a day and always doing something. I ve had many opportunities to share bits of what I believe to be true and know to be right, as well as information about the gospel with my customers as I go door to door selling Dish TV (Network). It s amazing how in the simplest conversation so many things can come up and so many truths can be shared. For example, as a missionary, you have a goal in mind to share the gospel and to teach with the power and authority given to you by God and his Prophets which he has called. Yet, as a return mission who attends Brigham Young University Idaho, I have found it very hard to share my testimony ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They don t swear around me, they don t offer me things that would go contrary to what I believe. I had an experience last night after a long day s work, that was amazing. They asked me why I would give two years of my life to serve a mission and get rejected and set myself to just a tedious schedule. My only answer to them was this, Because it s true, the gospel is true . Which lead on to me sharing a little of my conversion story when I was twenty years old. I love, love, love sharing the gospel and last night I realized how blessed I am to be able to do it word and deed. Every single day for the rest of the summer. Sex Offender Speech Hello Ladies, I believe that a sex offender is a sex offender, from this course I have learned there are multiple reasons a person may become a sex offender, it typically isn t a decision made over night. Research has proved abusive behaviors are instilled at a young age through child abuse, and/or are caused by mental health problems. I understand that is not the reason in all cases, of course drugs and alcohol play a factor too. The behaviors don t just appear or just go away, they may lie dormant or present in a subtle way, but they exist. Sexual predators adapt to their surroundings, so it doesn t matter if they are in the military or not, if they want to commit a sexual assault they will. According to Knapp s model of Relational Development, he described the stages in which a relationship goes within the make up and break up steps of coming together and coming apart. This blog will discuss each stage with examples. When there is a bond between two individuals, the first overall part is the coming together stage. Although the bonding stage is most likely where people intend to keep their relationship going forever, sometimes it does not happen. Until now, the rank of divorce couples is higher than the rate of committed couples. Therefore, just like the coming together stages of a relationship there are five stages to coming apart. The first sign of a relationship coming to an end is Differentiating, meaning the couple s commonalities and differences are affecting them. In the course of this stage, the impetus of working together stance instantly move from couple to individualistic . Temporary estrangement become a solution. For that reason, the relationship shifts rapidly from differences to setting boundaries on the couple s interaction. This is called the Circumscribing stage, which means to know everything you need to know about your partner but you avoid it by going around the problem. It is like saying your partner isn t sincere so you avoid the problem and not sort it out which includes less communication. The fourth stage is Stagnating, simply means that once you find out your partner is unfaithful you remain to do nothing about it. For instance, you know your partner is playing around so you let it carry on until action is taken. Which eventually comes down to the final stage which is Terminating. This is where relationship ends completely. Though it is hard to avoid relationships from getting to this stage of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 15. Summary Of The Book Of Judges Women in the book of Judges The Book of Judges talks about ancient Israel, and how they extended their territory by acquiring lands from the non Israelites. The book narrates how Israelites conquered and reclaimed their lost land from non Israelites and how they used to turn from God whenever they are satisfied. But it is written in the Bible that, the guilty are by no means cleared, as Exodus (34:7) says this is the reason why the Lord used several Kings and Judges like Deborah to help the people of Israel find their way back to Him. As the book reveals, it is evident that most of the judges were men (as they were most of the times referred to as Judges). The book talks about a great woman Deborah, also referred to as the bee , as a key judge in the entire book. This book unveils the importance of women (through acts and strengths of Deborah (mainly) and other heroic female characters) and their power to the readers. The Book of Judges narrates six women who are and will always be remembered by their outstanding and remarkable work. They are, Achsah, Deborah, Jael, Japhthah s daughter, Delilah and the identity of two of them is not revealed. O Connor (1980) suggests that, The book of Judges demonstrates this disparity as observed; women assume a vital function in its set up as the volume s subject is marginalization (278). For instance, some companies who didn t not take risk management seriously had resulted in inefficient use of capital, increased liabilities, and reputation risk. Moreover, a lack of certainty can cause confusion as to what a company s acceptance of risk is, such as a level of acceptance. In order to minimise the effect of the potential losses due to foreign currency exchange rate, it essential to understand the use of financial instrument. Foreign exchange risk consists of three main types of exposures. First, transaction exposure is when a firm has a contractual obligation under which it supposed to receive or pay a certain amount in a currency that is different than its home currency. Transaction exposure has an effect of the firm s income statement because the accounts payables or receivables can be affected by currency exchange rates. Second foreign exchange exposure is the translation which impacts the balance sheet of the firm. It occurs when consolidating financial statements of foreign units into a company s home currency. The third type of foreign exchange exposure is the economic which influences a firm s cash flows when exchange rates change. This type of exposure can impact assets, liabilities, or any type of anticipated foreign currency cash exchange. The starting point of any foreign exchange risk management plan is to identify the exchange exposure faced. In controlling the foreign exchange risk, currency options have attained acceptance as very helpful tools due to their exclusive nature. • 19. Nations See Dramatic Decline in Fertility Over the past half century, almost every nation has seen a dramatic fall in their fertility rates. Population regulation differs through out the world based on the particular region. Populations can stabilize through a variety of factors including modern communications, growing affluence, urbanization, family planning and social reforms (Cunningham, 2013). China and the Indian state of Kerala are examples of two very different methods to controlling population expansion. In the past twenty years, total fertility dropped by more than half in China (Cunningham, 2013). The Chinese regulations in place focus more on birth control rather then new social equality. This strategy depends on strongly enforced policies set by the government, determining how many children a Chinese family can produce. Chinese law provides a compulsory limit on reproduction that is punishable by law if an individual exceeds the limits set. The strategy of strict laws with penalization is also combined with an economic incentive for reducing births. A very different strategy regarding population stabilization can be seen in Kerala, India. It involves a social justice strategy that believes social benefits as the solution to family planning. This strategy is based on the assumption that unequal resource allocation is the main problem that leads to a high population in developing countries (Cunningham, 2013). In Kerala, providing a fair share of social benefits to everyone is seen as the key to family ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This program, which we still see in effect through CRP (Conservation Reserve Program) land, was intended to be temporary, but it has lasted as a way to conserve the environment. Although the amount of CRP land and the way that subsidies are issued has changed, the idea has carried on and so have subsidies. Farmers today are still paid through subsidies whether they produce a good crop or not, so to many, it seems very backward to pay farmers not to produce crops. Finally, as Bruckner (2016) states, ...many advocates for reform have argued that when subsidies are unlimited, they provide the nation s largest farms the financial resources to bid up land prices and drive their smaller neighbors out of farming (p. 623). Subsidies as they are currently issued (without a limit) give a great advantage to the largest farms in America, and hurt many small to mid sized farms. • 36. A Comparison OfThe Consolation Of Philosophy And Doctor... Happiness is often thought to be something of relativity. What makes one person happy does not necessarily bring happiness to another. Nevertheless, how happiness is defined, by no doubt, has something to do with the characteristics of a culture and time. For example, the beginning of the sixth century was characterized by many controversies in the newly officialized religion of Christianity Arianism, to name one. Religion, at the time, became a big factor in defining true happiness. As controversies got resolved, the use of religion as a means to defining happiness remained a constant through the sixteenth century, but the influence became more on the need for reformation in the Church. One author in the sixth century, Boethius, writes vividly on the idea of happiness in his The Consolation of Philosophy. Similar points that Boethius makes about happiness can be found between the lines of a sixteenth century writer, Christopher Marlowe s Doctor Faustus. Due to the difference in the eras of which The Consolation of Philosophy and Doctor Faustus were written, the authors present happiness in a manner relative to their time, while ultimately both agreeing that true happiness is rooted in God. Both authors present their own understanding of what happiness is not in order to better proclaim what it is. Boethius makes a point that happiness cannot be found in temporary things. • 39. Book Review on the French Revolution and the People Essay For my report I read The French Revolution and the People by David Andress to learn what were the reasons causing the French Revolutionary War. The main thesis of the book is the known problems and reactions which affected the events and outcomes of the revolution in every stage, now everyone in France was affected by the revolution. Second, how seigneurialism did not get rid of feudalism but only changed it for the seigneurs to get more power. Over time it shifted from feudalism to more of a financial relationship since the lords wanted more money and they couldn t tax serfs who didn t get paid. The seigneurs had many rights such over extensive land, an annual rent, a share of harvest; fee if land has changed hands or inherited would be paid by past serfs. Index Terms RFID Electromagnetics, term paper I.INTRODUCTION For many people, using a card to access a building or a door, a key to start a car or validating an underground ticket have become a routine without realizing that they are making use of a technology that captures data because of the magnetic field. The technology is known as Radio Frequency IDentification or RFID. [1] Just as people use RFID in their daily lives, this technology is also used in objects, as the travel from manufacture to storage and finally the point of sale. Also, they carry RFID tags like people do. People show their RFID cards and objects don t. These tags are read in different ways and need greater detection distances.
