Four dimensionalism is often seen in the field of metaphysics as a strong and sound solution to many
puzzles. Whether that s the Antinomy of Constitution, the Ship of Theseus, or the Paradox of Increase,

powerful solution it appears to be at first glance. The theory itself has many repercussions if it is taken

splitting objects into spatial and temporal parts. We see the spatial components when we look at an
object but the temporal component is harder to see. Essentially, the four dimensionalist believes that
an object is never wholly present at one instance in time but rather consists of the spatial components
and all of the temporal components. This is seen as the theory of perdurance and is accepted by four
