Hacking Is The Responsibility Of The Computer System
The argument between two hackers who say that it is the responsibility of the owners of the
computer system to provide adequate security to keep hackers at bay are completely wrong.
Neither their argument nor their perspective holds ground. Before we look into the reasons
behind why they are wrong, it is important to first comprehend in detail about hacking and
hackers. So what is hacking? The term hacking was first promoted by the famous MIT between
1950s and 1960s. It all started as a fun experiment in a lab, but it led to something completely
different today. Hacking is a term used to describe unauthorized, illegal intrusion into a network
of connected systems or just an individual system. It is a technical effort or a process that is used
to exploit the vulnerabilities of a system or connected systems to gain unauthorized access. Today
it is synonymous with malicious activity on the web. The act of hacking is carried out by powerful
and highly skilled programmers known as hackers who possess advanced knowledge about the
systems. They do it because they are confident about their skills and succeeding in their hacking
attempts. These proficient individuals are extremely inquisitive who are in pursuit of private
information that is not publicly available. Accessing confidential or private information is just one
small part of hacking. They are capable of controlling, modifying and denying the system from any
kind of connections or cripple the system entirely bringing it

Positive And Negative Effects Of Technology On Learning...
Outcome
How does technology effect the way our generation learns and behaves?
Technology is, by definition The application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes,
especially in industry. We use technology accomplish various tasks in our daily lives, in brief; we
can describe technology as products, processes or organizations. We use technologyto extend our
abilities, and that makes people as the most important part of any technological system.
(Use of Technology, 2017) This report identifies how technology effects sleep, the prices and costs
of technology, the positive and negative effects technology has on younger people such as bullying
or learning more at school, the difference between past generations and their use of technology and
how/ if technology effects the brain and students learning and behaviour such as memory and
attention spans. A variety of sources including surveys and internet reports/ sites were used to
gather information to be used within this report.
A common statement typically heard is don t go on your phone at night you won t be able to
sleep and as we all know sleep is a really important part of our health. The reason being on our
phones or any other form of device at night prevents us from sleeping is due to the bright colours
and screen those then trick our brains into thinking it is still daylight so we don t feel as tired.

Jp Morgan Robber Baron Essay
J.P. Morgan, Philanthropist or robber baron?
John Pierpont Morgan was born on April 17 1837. The Morgan family was a rather influential
family, J.P s father was a successful business man and HIS father was a successful Wall Street
banker. When john was thirteen his father was invited to be a partner in the London banking
business owned by dry goods merchant George Peabody. Than young J.P. was taken out of the
Boston s English high school and was enrolled into a private school in Switzerland where after
two years he was transferred to the University of Gottingen in Germany. In 1857 the now twenty
year old J.P. was installed by his father into Duncan Sherman and co (Peabody s American
representive). Than from 1860 to 1864 he acted as an agent in New York for his fathers firm
renamed J.S. Morgan and company upon Peabody s retirement in 1864. In 1871 he partnered with

Morgan had a habit of taking over financially troubles businesses that weren t profitable and then
reorganizing or underwriting their securities to restore the profitability, a process that some
came to know as Morginization . A few examples of this are the reorganizations of the General
Electric and also International Harvester. J.P. Morgan also re organized more than 15 railroads.
One of his most notable financial wins was during the depths of the 1865 depression when he
gathered several other bankers together and was able to provide over $65 million is gold (that s
over 3.5 million ounces) on the condition that the government would provide a private sale of
government bonds to him and his syndicate. Was it really ethciacal to try to make the most profit
possible off the government during a time when the government was relying heavily on the support
of big bankers? Regardless J.P. Morgan and his syndicate did make a huge profit on this

Interview Panel On The Middle School Basketball Coaches Essay
Activity Description and Summary For this activity I was responsible for being part of our
interview panel to hire our middle school basketball coaches. We hired four coaches to help
mentor our fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade boys basketball teams. I was part of a three
person interview panel that featured our principal, athletic director, and me. This interview
process was the first time I ve been a part of hiring someone to feel a need at the school. The
topic we interviewed is something I was comfortable with because I have coached basketball the
past six years. I felt like I could find us the right fit and discussed the opportunity to be a part of
the hiring process because of the need of this internship activity. It s hard to find an interview
process during the year for teachers, but I believe coaching is a great substitute for teaching
because it is an extension of the classroom. Learning how to play a sport and how you conduct
yourself on the court can help you later in life. I wanted to find a candidate that could be a role
model for the students and help teach them life lessons through the game of basketball. We all
agreed we are looking for someone who will stress that basketball doesn t come above our education
and our families. Our school has struggled with student achievement and I think sports can help
motivate students to do better in the classroom. The class that best aligns with the hiring process is

`` Night `` By Elie Wiesel
Robert Shapiro, an American civil litigator once said, To me, the Holocaust stands alone as the
most horrible human event in modern civilization, The Holocaust, a genocide led by Adolf Hitler,
killed six million jews, and dramatically affected the whole world. The memoir Night, written by
Elie Wiesel describes the brutality Wiesel experienced during the Holocaust, and how life changing
it was. Although some may believe the memoir written by Elie Wieselwas titled Night because he
was forced to leave his home during the night, Wiesel illustrates Jewslosing hope, faith, and
happiness through the symbol of Night, to prove that the memoir was titled Night to symbolize the
darkness the holocaust created. The first darkness that the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Wiesel then gave up, he figured there was no longer a chance that he could be saved which again
led to darkness. Is this example, the darkness the night brings symbolises loss of hope, and
becoming closer to death. Once Wiesel gave up trying, and claimed it was over, the light in his
life got slightly dimmer, and he became closer to death. The next reason Night was the title of
the memoir written by Wiesel was because the darkness in night symbolized death. Thousands of
Jews were sentenced to death each day, leaving everybody a little more hurt and broken. The first
example of death, that helps portray the title of Night, is in the quote, Was there a single place
here where you were not in danger of death? (Wiesel 37). In this quote, Wiesel shows how
dangerous and recurrent death was and bases the title off of these dangerous, mass killings.
Darkness commonly symbolizes death, and the pain and suffering one feels being exposed to it.
The symbol also helps show that the killings were not normal, they were darker like the night, more
evil and inhumane than anything they had previously experienced. The title Night, symbolizes the
darkness during this painful event, and the darkness universally symbolizes evil. So by using the
title Night, Wiesel is able to indirectly explain how inhumane these mass killings really are. Another
quote that shows the title is used to symbolize

Analyzing Violence Aggression in Ice Hockey Players

Violence Aggression: Ice Hockey
Abstract
In the arena of sports today there is a continuous subject in every sport hostility and violence.
Aggression can be revealed in a lot of dissimilar methods in sports. In baseball hostility can be
chucking a pitch inside to a player or gliding into second base and captivating the other basemen.
In basketball it can be a foul that is hard and shoving someone to the ground. And in NASCAR it
can be somewhat as little at bouncing another vehicle at a race track. Over the past few years
aggression and violence in sports is growing bigger and bigger. It seems like you can not go a
week or two without the news talking about a fight or argument that has occurred at a sporting
event between a couple of players or teams. Violence Aggression: Ice Hockey
Introduction
For as long as hockey has been in existence, it has always been a violent sport ; the sport is full of
body checks, being knocked from behind, sometimes the misappropriation of the hockey stick,
and even horrible fights. Now all off these are considered satisfactory by hockey admirers to a
certain extent. When a player on the team starts to swings his stick at the opposite team and injury
occurs to the opposite player the ringleader can normally expect to be disciplined for a time that is
short, and at times they are even suspended from the team for a while. But then again when does
this violent action on the ice start to become

They both were Presidents in the United States of America at some point in time. They each have
served many years as some sort of governor with Jackson being the military governor of Florida
and Roosevelt being the governor of New York. Roosevelt and Jackson were major influences
towards this country. But even with those similarities between them they were two men with
differences. One was a big military man while the other was an author with eighteen books written
and a few other attributes. All of these are just a few examples of how important these men were

pertaining to Andrew Jackson were he was the very first president associated with the actual
frontier. Another unique occurrence during Andrew Jackson s term was how for the first time the
United States Federal Government had managed to actually repay the totality of the federal debt
and it was also the only time in the U.S.history that this has ever occurred. Opposite of Theodore
Roosevelt, Andrew Jackson was a leader of the Democratic Party. Andrew Jackson was the man
that implemented the Treaty of Rotation. Another treaty that Jackson was involved with was the
Treaty of Fort Jackson. He had imposed the Treaty of Fort Jackson upon both the Northern and
Southern Creek Allies. He was very highly nominated by Tennessee not just once but twice for
him to become president. Jackson also took away the Federal Charter of the second bank of the
United States. He was the man who was responsible for the Panic of 1837. As well as the man
who had nullified the Force Bill. Lastly Jackson went and administrated the Treaty of New Echota.

Reflection Of A Small Business At A Local Daycare Center...
For this week s discussion in Module One, I reviewed a local daycare center company my
mother works for. The company is a sole proprietorship and is very small. Although, the women
who runs the company takes care of everything, such as the accounting, marketing, and human
resource departments altogether, with some input from within the company, and runs a very
structured company. All the various departments she takes care of do tend towards the same
goals and all the set tasks and responsibilities the company has in place at the time. The owner is
very organized and always stays up to date on everything. She is experienced, but I find that it
must be overwhelming to have all that pressure on your shoulders and that much work to cover.
Even though it is a small company and she does rely on input from the company, it is definitely
challenging. After reading this week s material I do not think my view of the organization
reviewed this week changed, but there is always room for change and some things I may do
differently when I open my own small businessone day when it comes to organizational structure
and culture. Doing more research and understanding the topics this week I have been able to
better identify benefits among certain organizational theories, such as employee satisfaction and
diversity. Before getting into this topic diversity management refers to the various actions
organizations can take to ensure that they are treating all employees (and potential employee)
fairly and that they are not discriminating (Arvinen Muondo Perkins, 2013). For any organization
out there, there is a responsibility when it comes to managing diversity. When I was reading the
material this week this question that Edwards posed stuck with me: how can we know when we
should treat people similarly because of their similarities, and when is it more fair to treat people
differently because of their differences (Arvinen Muondo Perkins, 2013)? This question is one I
have always had and wondered when I open my own business. It is a challenge that plays in
diversity management and one a company has to figure out. Companies do needto challenge
discrimination. If not it causes a lot of people many disadvantages due to race,

Spirituality is derived from the Latin word spiritus, spirit, the essential part of the person which
controls the mind and the mind controls the body. Thus the spirit is the vital life force which
motivate people and influence ones life, health behavior and relationships (Baldacchino Draper,
2001). She also stated that spirituality is the mainstream of life which unifies all aspects of the
human being. Spirituality applies to both believers and non believers, including the presence of
diverse cultural beliefs (Baldacchino Draper, 2001). Culliford stated that : In times of emotional
stress, physical illness, loss, bereavement and death human beings tend to find comfort, peace,
inspiration, reverence and meaning by focusing on their spirituality whether they believe in God
or not (Culliford, 2002). In a study conducted by Tuck and Thingajana the meaning of
spirituality was voiced by person living with HIV disease and healthy adults. The definitions
voiced by the HIV patients were that Spirituality is relating and believing in God, who is always
present. It is perceived as being guided or helped or being inspired or giving unto. Spirituality
includes the process of journeying, discovering and centering and is outwardly expressed (Tuck

Robin Hood s good traits are easily seen throughout the story. The author did a good job of
making his hero come across as a good person, who has often been misinterpreted because of

The Inequality Of Social Classes
America is referred to as a molting pot, which means that it has a variety of ethnic cultures and
backgrounds that are unified. Though America may be diverse, there is still a huge factor that
separates people and prevents those from becoming an equal. That discrepancy is the iniquity in
social classes. On September of 2011, Matt Wuerker a political cartoonist for Politico, published
Kitchen Tables that highlighted the injustice in social classes. It is a cartoon that consist of three
different drawings of kitchen tables that Americans sit around: a luxurious upper class, an average
middle class, and a deprived underclass. Wuerker used unequal proportion between each of the
drawings size to represent the iniquity within social classes. He not only gave the upper class
half of the paper, but he also labeled it the top 1% . Wuerker even used colors that symbolized
the meaning of the political cartoon. The upper class has an elegant golden table, with a purple
shadow casting underneath it. The middle class has a green table, with a dirt green background.
The underclass has a rusty bucket that is flipped upside down for a table, with a somber blue
background. Wuerker used wit to display a serious message that is effecting people throughout
America. Matt Wuerker used numerous ways that exemplifies the message he is trying to get
across, and each of those make it an effective political cartoon for the minority of the Americans
that can relate to it. It is natural for humans

Plate Tectonics, And The World
Plate Tectonics,
And their relation to the world.
___
By Jillian Abreu
There are many ways that earthquakes, plate boundaries, volcanoes, seafloor spreading, the Earth s
core, convection currents, and subduction connect to each other, but the main way they are all
connected is by plate tectonics. It all starts with plate tectonics. A theory by Alfred Wagner said that
Pangaea, which is a land mass of all the continents combined, had been moved by continental drift
to form the positions our continents are in now. This led to the theory of plate tectonics. This theory
stated that pieces of the Earth s lithosphere are in slow, but constant motion, driven by convection
currents in the mantle. A reason that backed up this theory was... Show more content on

The mantle is one of many layers of the Earth s core. As you can see from the picture on the left,
the first layer is the Earth s crust, which compared to earth, is like a sheet of paper wrapped
around a basket ball. The next layer is the lithosphere. This layer is broken into plates, better
known as the tectonic plates mentioned earlier. The asthenosphere comes next, which is weak
compared to the lithosphere. Since the layer is hotter, the layer is more soft. As we get closer to
the center, we look at the mantle. The mantle is made of thick, solid rock. The next layer is the
outer core. This core contains of liquid magma with much iron and nickel. Lastly, there is the inner
core. This layer is so hot that the heat melts metal ores into liquid magma. In this mantle, there are
convection currents. Heat from the core causes convection currents to slowly move the Earth s
crust around. All over the crust s surface, crust is destroyed, and reformed. All plate boundaries
movements are moved by convection currents in the mantle. At the boundaries between plates,
magma is able to force its way to the surface and escape as lava. There are three different types of
plate boundaries known as convergent, divergent, and transform.
Convergent Divergent Transform
As you can see, with convergent plate boundaries, they

Review Of Vampire Bats
1.Vampire bats give blood to unrelated vampire bats for several reasons. Among the reasons are
the cost sharing of blood, the benefit of sharing blood and the probability that the bats that were
given blood will in turn reciprocate and give blood to other bats at a later date. The cooperative
equilibria in bloodsharing among bats means that the sharing of blood will occur if the benefits
of sharing blood multiplied by the probability that blood sharing will be beneficial in the future is
greater than the cost of sharing blood. If a bat shares blood with another bat (even an unrelated
bat), the bat that is the recipient is expected to donate blood to other bats at a larger rate than it
received at a later time.
A donor bat will give blood to a bat that has not had a meal so that this bat can have the opportunity
to hunt again, giving an increased chance that it will reciprocate to another bat that has not had a
meal, enabling the roost to maintain survival. In the event that a recipient bat does not reciprocate
in the future, that bat will not be donated to if it needs it in the future, thus allowing for recipient
bats to be donor bats in the future as needed.
2.In the Berg, Dickhaut and McCabe (1995) study, factors that influence the likelihood of trust in
economic transactions is a fundamental assumption that individuals act in their own self interest
which is often combined with other assumptions that (1) objects of interest are restricted to
personal consumption;

Solving The Foreclosure Crisis That Devastated The Nation...
Many Americans have and still have been haunted by their pasts. Most of us have learned not to
judge others by backgrounds or past choices, but when it comes to financial credit, our pasts are
not so easily overlooked. With the slow but sure recovery of the foreclosure crisis that devastated
the nation years ago, hangs a hand of hope that offers a second chance to boomerang buyers who
merely just want to get back into home ownership. The rent to own option is the best choice for
these buyers who want a second shot to do it all over.
In its simplest terms, renting to own means that a piece of property such as a home is leased in
exchange for payment. This payment is owed either monthly or weekly depending on the owner
who places the house up for lease. Although, with this option the buyer has the chance to purchase
the house through time.
When people buy a home they have to pay extra amounts that are not covered by the actual price
of the home. These extra expenses include down payments and closing costs. With the rent to own
option buyers will only pay a security rental deposit and also have the choice of paying an option
deposit as well.
Another benefit that comes along with this option is the flexibility it provides for the buyers. The
owners whom are leasing the house to these buyers will not discredit them because of their bad past
credits. They will simply continue their agreement with the buyer if they see that payments are
being made when they are supposed to.

Marquis Color Test Paper
As chemist with forensic case work and field experience, I know low cost and low tech methods
of analysis are in demand. While such methods are typically presumptive in nature, they play a
vital role in both lab and field analysis. Presumptive tests allow users to triage samples for
confirmatory analysis, saving time and expense. Whether a crime scene, combat zone, or natural
disaster site, presumptive assays influence command decisions. In technology deficient areas,
presumptive assays may be the totality of the analysis available. Most presumptive tests are
color tests, providing a visual cue to the user as to the presence of a particular compound (1 2).
While color tests have their benefits, a big drawback is the false positive (3), i.e. the erroneous
compound is here . My research focuses on minimizing false positives, false negatives, and
generally improving the selectivity of color tests without sacrificing their ease of use and low cost.

This test is routinely employed in the field, usually as an all inclusive kit like
Safariland s NarcoPouch shown in Figure 1 (4). A positive result is obtained for morphine(DEA

(OTC) aspirin. The OTC result is a false positive, as a true positive is a scheduled opiate. Colors
noted by users to describe each compound s test include pink, pink to purple, red purple, and
magenta. Given that the accepted reaction mechanism involves the dimerization of opiates (5), it is
conceivable that each of these compound s test results are a different tint or shade of red (i.e.
different pinks) as they correspond to different structures. The challenge for users in discriminating
between compounds are the similarity of resulting colors and limits of the user s color acuity.

Laws protect us from discrimination, from threats of other citizens or countries perhaps, and
much more. Business law simply keeps the calm in this country and it would be chaos without

Objective: The objective of this laboratory was to theoretically calculate the moment of inertia of a
disk and a ring and then to verify the moment of inertia for both objects through experiment. This
laboratory shows that while the theoretical is not within the uncertainty of the experimental, both
values are extremely similar to each other.

This calculation will be done later on. After using equation 1 to find the experimental moment of
inertia, the average and standard deviation of the five trials for No Ring and Ring were calculated
using Excel commands for average and standard deviation. The averages will be used later on in
order to calculate the experimental moment of inertia for the ring. In the next step, the theoretical
moment of inertia was calculated for the disk by using equation 2.
I_disk^th=1/2 M_d R_d^2(2)
In the equation above, the I_disk^th is the theoretical moment of inertia of the disk, M_d is the
mass of the disk, Rd is the radius of the disk. Next, the theoretical moment of inertia of the Ring
was calculated using equation 3 below.
I_ring^th=1/2 M_r (R_1^2+R_2^2)(3)
In the equation above, I_ring^this the theoretical moment of inertia of the Ring, Mr is the mass of
the ring, R_1^2 is the inner radius of the ring, and R_2^2 is the outer radius of the ring. In order to
compare the experimental and theoretical moments of inertia of the Ring, the experimental moment
of inertia of the ring alone has to be calculated. It is given that the experimental moment of the
system equals to the experimental moment of inertia of the ring plus the experimental moment of
inertia of the disk. The experimental moment of inertia can be found by solving

Affirmative Action Case Study
The use of affirmative action admissions practices in the United States colleges and universities
has been a source of contentious public debate and legal battles since the policy s inception in the
1960s (e.g., Hopwood v. University of Texas Law School, 1996; Grutter v. Bollinger, 2003;
Regents of the Universityof California v. Bakke, 1978) (Bernhard et al., 2013). One of the first
affirmative action cases that were brought to the Supreme Court was in the Regents of University

Analysis Of The Thinker
I have selected the fifth part which is called The Thinker . From this part, I have selected two
clips that I will be observing and analysing. The first clip I am observing is about Iyeki who is
around about the age of 6 months and this took place in the mall with his father. The second clip
I am observing is about Taffy who is around about the age of 1 year and she is in her room,
placed in her cot. Observation As mentioned before Iyeki is 6 months of age. Him and his dad
are in the mall, Iyeki is in a pushchair. When Iyeki s father approaches the bench, he lets Iyeki out
of his pushchair and places him on the floor. As the mall is empty, he starts to crawl around.
Iyeki starts to crawl away from the dad while he sits on the bench and reads his newspaper. Iyeki
crawls further away from his dad, once he reaches a point, he turns around and looks at his dad.
Further and further Iyeki crawls in every direction, he sits and looks back at his father. Iyeki
shouts at Da Da! and crawls closer to him. Once Iyeki is closer to his father, he then stops, sits
and looks at his father. He then crawls faster towards his dad but instead he crawls past the
bench and sits on the floor for a while. Iyeki then turns right and crawls past his dad. Iyeki then
crawls to the point where he is opposite his dad and as he gets closer to his dad he starts crying and
tries to get up on the bench. His dad then helps him by placing him on all fours again and he starts
to crawl away from his dad.

Remembering Hurricane Mitch
In 1998 we had seen the deadliest hurricane of the 20th century hit the Caribbean, Central America
and parts of South America. This natural disaster had massive effects on the region from
environmental to economic effects. It sent numerous countries in to a state of emergency and was
fighting to keep their countries in order. This paper will focus on the aftermath and effects
Hurricane Mitchhad on the region.
Hurricane Mitch had brought widespread destruction and turmoil to many countries in the
Caribbean and Latin America. This hurricane was very interesting because it had lasted from
October 22, 1998 until November 9, 1998. Over this period of time it had turned in to a Category 5
hurricane which is the strongest one can get to. A Category 5 hurricane is when winds reach in
excess of 157 mph. Catastrophic damage will occur and a high percentage of framed homes will be
destroyed, with total roof failure and wall collapse. Fallen trees and power poles will also happen
in isolated areas. This being a Category 5 Hurricane was able to last for a long time and was felt as
far south as Panama and eventually hit as far north as Florida.
Honduras
The first country Hurricane Mitch made landfall with was Honduras and subsequently it was also
the one that took the greatest amount of damage. It was so large and devastating that it had reached
just about the whole population while it hovered over the country for days. While it slowly hovered
over Honduras it had dumped torrential

Tonight I Can Write... Tonight I can write... is one of the best poems written by the great Pablo
Neruda. He was known as a poet when he was 10 years old. He wrote in many different styles,
including passionate love poems such this chosen poem. This is one of the greatest poem I ve
ever came across. Pablo really expressed his love and feelings towards his no longer loved one.
Reading this poem showed me how loyal and strong he is as well as remembering all the
memories whether they were a happy memories or sad ones. This poem also shows the reader from
the beginning, how their relationship was kind of great and then how things got escalated quickly

Next, when the writer said The night is shattered and the blue stars shiver in the distance , he
used imagery which is when words are used to create visual images. In this line, the writer creates
an image of the night s sky in readers mind and describes them as far away. These

Charlie Ravioli Essay

Professor Cantor
English 100
13 September 2012
Through Another Pair of Eyes The perception of life through someone else s eyes can alter one s
appreciation toward that particular lifestyle. Culture is perceived differently depending on the
type of environment in which we grow accustomed to. It can also range from the type of
location in which we live in. For instance, someone living in a different state would have a
different perception of the way we do things compared to their ways. In the essay Bumping into
Mr. Ravioli, by Adam Gopnik, the view on life is seen differently when viewed in Gopnik s
perception. However, this perception of life changes when viewed in a different point of view.

Gopnik learns about the busy lifestyle of Charlie Ravioli and begins to understand more of how a
New Yorker lives. Gopnik also realizes that the environment contributes to the personality of Olivia
s imaginary friend. Gopnik states Why is busyness the stuff our children make their invisible
friends from, as country children make theirs from light and sand? (Gopnik 156). According to
Gopnik, children base their imaginary friends from the type of environment they live in. For
example, since Olivia lives in New York, Her imaginary friend, Charlie Ravioli, has the
personality of a busy person living in New York. However, a child living on the countryside
would create an imaginary that has a personality based off that environment. These two quotes
exhibit the idea of different lifestyles based off different environments. Gopnik beings to
understand the busy lifestyle of people in New York and understands why Charlie Ravioli never
has time to play with Olivia. He learns to appreciate this type of lifestyle and will eventually grow
accustomed to it especially living in such a busy city. Gopnik also learns to understand more about
his lifestyle and that in order to adjust to the busy lifestyle, he has to get involved with the routine.
Furthermore, Gopnik perception of life allowed him to learn about the advances of technology and
communications that has evolved overtime. Gopnik never

Oral Hygiene And The Disease Of Diabetes
Abstract
Dental Hygienists have an enormous amount of problems with their patients, one problem being
that their patients have diabetes. Patients don t realize that if they have diabetes they are more
susceptible to getting serious gum disease. Studies have shown that 90 95% of patients have Type 2
Diabetes Mellitus (http://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0082158). The
goal of this problem is for patients to not accrue the disease of diabetes by taking care of their oral

about the treatments that can be done to help their xerostomia because its a symptom of high sugar

Manipulation In The Last King Of Scotland
The Last King Of Scotland Politics is always an act of manipulation and there may be a
dissonance between the public persona of a leader and the ruthless actuality of their lives. Kevin
Macdonald s 2006 political biopic film The Last King of Scotland is based on political and
personal events throughout the narcissistic Adi Amin s despotic, traumatic and destructive rule of
Uganda during the 1970s. It shows two different representations of Amin: one that manipulates his
public persona as someone who works for and with the people and the other as someone ruthless
who will manipulate anyone to stay in power. The film is also an act of manipulation as we witness
these events through the perspective of the politically naГЇve and altruistic eyes of Nick Garrigan.
The director aims to manipulate the audience to see Amin through fresh eyes as we simultaneously
witness Amin s attempts to position the people of Uganda. In the opening sequence we see the

Clean Water And Clean Drinking Water
Water is an essential element in our daily lives, but for North Americans, water service is a
convenience that we too often take for granted until a serious issue occurs, (Waterworld, 2014).
There is more than 1 billion people who lack adequate access to clean drinking water and at least
estimated there are over 400 million that are children. Because unclean water yields illness,
roughly 443 million school days are missed every year. (Goodnet, 07 Oct, 2014). Providing clean
water to the billons of people who don t have access to clean water is important because it help
maintain human health. Clean water has become one of our most precious resources in the 21st
century, in fact one in nine people live without access to clean and drinkable water. (Goodnet, 07
Oct, 2014). Human need water that is clean and safe to drink so it can help maintain the body s
temperature, it would also lubricate and cushion the joints. To help provide clean water to
developing countries our organization should provide help to an organization called charity: water,
which are a nonprofit organization that provides safe and clean water to developing countries. Our
organization should provide help to Charity: Water because it could help spread awareness around
the world, help developing countries in creating ways to have clean water, and provide a health

The Celluloid Closet Movie Analysis
The Celluloid Closet is a documentary directed/written by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman.
Thefilm shows numerous clips of actors who act in the role as a gay, bisexual, transgender, or a
lesbian character. This movie gives the audience a great insight of what it like to make a movie
like that in Hollywood. They interview men and women who either portray as a character in the
film, by giving their personal experience what it like to be that character they portray, or either
directed/written a movie about it. In the beginning of the film, the word SISSY is a trait in a boy
or a man that associate with feminine behavior or style. It can also be a woman with muscular traits.
Does Sissy liberate? Yes, Hollywood allowed it. Sissy s was never open about their sexuality
they were mainly like a subliminal in a film. The subject was never discussed privately or even in
public, but you knew by the behavior of the men or women. Hollywood industry felt that if a man
dress as a woman they think it comedy. When a woman dress as a man they think she look pretty or
sexy for both men and women. Looking through the history of homosexual, gay and lesbian films,
you can see the progress, but you can also see the era in the time when people at once was afraid
to now people are more open. For example, in the 1920s people was more scared to come out and
be who they are. At the time not, much actors wanted to act or portray as homosexual because they

2.0 Brief explanation of the Taylorism
In late 1800s, Frederick Taylor found the scientific management theory that suggested how to make
the workplace more efficient and maximize productivity. Since this theory applied many industries,
including Ford Motor Company, it created ergonomics (or human factors), industrial mass
production furthermore assembly lines, yet some scholars believe this theory still exists nowadays.

Compare And Contrast Frankenstein And Mary Shelly
Youthful Frankenstein and Mary Shelly s Frankenstein is viewed as one of the best spoof ever

spite of the fact that his portrayal is close to home the turn in his delineation is an illustration of the

he transforms frightening circumstances into inconceivably interesting and silly circumstances.
The motion picture Young Frankensteinopens up what is done in high contrast. This was the same
case with Mary Shelly s Frankenstein s. The opening up of the film in highly contrasting was done
to keep the validness in Young Frankenstein. This was a move to make Young Frankenstein more

Instead of the exciting music that goes with a negative circumstance, thunder blasts all through the

Additionally, I learned about the efficiency of this store. According to Table1 and Table 2, the
customers who came at off peak time would spend about one minute and forty seconds on the
whole buying process, and the customers who came at peak time and waited behind four people
would spend about four minutes. It is no doubt that customers do not need to spend much time on

networking site. According to Lenhart, 77% of adults and 71% of teenagers owned a cell phone
and 38% of those teenagers (12 17 years old) used their phones to text daily (30). A year later,
the same survey was administered with results increasing to 54% who text daily (30). The same
survey was again administered from the Pew Research Center by Lenhart in 2012 with the results
increasing to 84% of Americans ages 12 and up owning a cell phone and 63% of teenagers saying
they exchange text messages daily (2). The problem is texting is giving teenagers the option to
avoid face to face interactions and causing teens to lose important social skills. Fraser J.M. Reid,

Ohm s law From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia This article is about the law related to electricity.
For other uses, see Ohm s acoustic law. V, I, and R, the parameters of Ohm s law. Ohm s law states
that the current through a conductor between two points is directlyproportional to the potential
difference across the two points. Introducing the constant of proportionality, the resistance,[1] one
arrives at the usual mathematical equation that describes this relationship:[2] where I is the current
through the conductor in units of amperes, V is the potential difference measured across the
conductor in units of volts, and R is the resistance of the conductor in units of ohms.... Show more

This application of Ohm s law is illustrated with examples in How To Analyze Resistive Circuits
Using Ohm s Law on wikiHow. Other versions Ohm s law, in the form above, is an extremely
useful equation in the field of electrical/electronic engineering because it describes how voltage,
current and resistance are interrelated on a macroscopic level, that is, commonly, as circuit
elements in an electrical circuit. Physicists who study the electrical properties of matter at the
microscopic level use a closely related and more general vector equation, sometimes also
referred to as Ohm s law, having variables that are closely related to the V, I, and R scalar
variables of Ohm s law, but which are each functions of position within the conductor. Physicists
often use this continuum form of Ohm s Law:[31] where E is the electric field vector with units
of volts per meter (analogous to V of Ohm s law which has units of volts), J is thecurrent density
vector with units of amperes per unit area (analogous to I of Ohm s law which has units of
amperes), and ПЃ (Greek rho ) is the resistivity with units of ohmВ·meters (analogous to R of
Ohm s law which has units of ohms). The above equation is sometimes written[32] as J = E where
Пѓ (Greek sigma ) is the conductivity which is the reciprocal

A Comparison Between Neanderthal And Modern Human Dna
Introduction
Homo heidelbergensis was an early human species that lived around 700,000 to 200,000 years
ago. These pioneers were the first to live in colder climates, hunt large animals with wooden spears,
and utilize fire. They were also our first ancestors to construct simple shelters out of wood and rock.
Interestingly a comparison between Neanderthal and modern human DNA suggests the two lineages
diverged from a common ancestor, most likely Homo heidelbergensis!
Discovery
On October 21, 1907, Daniel Hartmann spotted a jaw while working in a sandpit in Mauer, near
Heidelberg, Germany (49.3389В° N, 8.7986В° E.) The jaw had human like teeth but was very
large and heavy boned, it was almost complete except for missing premolars and first ... Show more

H. 2000), which were found together with stone tools and the remains of more than 10 butchered
horses. This evidence shows they flourished in a rich and diverse cooling epoch called the
Pleistocene, which was a cooling period with intermittent glaciers covering North America and
Europe (Eldredge 2000) and deserts spread over northern Africa separating the populations of plants
and animals, including humans (Zuk 2013). These cooling and recurrent glaciations led to the
physical adaptation of shorter and wider bodies in an attempt to conserve heat in this cooler climate.
Dating
Many fossils of this species have been dated with various methods. One such was by sequencing
mitochondrial DNA from a femur bone found at the Sima de los Huesos ( pit of bones ) in northern
Spain by Svante Paabo, a biologist at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology. After
sequencing, researchers compared the result with genetic information from Neanderthals and
Denisovans and dated them to over 300,000 years (Meyer 2013).
Description
The first preserved bones for this species was a lower jaw with teeth, found near Heidelberg,
Germany. Other fossils include 5,500 bone fragments from 28 individuals found in The Pit of
Bones , Spain, and possibly a fossilized skullcap discovered in northern India s Narmada Valley that
currently represents the easternmost occurrence (Meyer 2013).

Case Study Of Burger King And Tim Hortons
The size of potential synergies is small as Burger King and Tim Hortons will continue working as
distinct brands. As a result, only common corporate services and several purchase savings will
enjoy any arising synergies.
2.1 Burger King First, Burger King will experience an increase in revenue after taking over Tim
Hortons (Kirby, 2014). The increase of revenue is due to the improved menu resources. However,
menu resources will not help Burger King outdo its current competitors like McDonalds. It will
only help to improve Burger King position. Improved menu resources perfectly suit the takeover s
new model of concentrating strongly on international growth. Burger King knows Tim Hortons has
been trying hard to acquire a base on United States markets for several years now despite highly
strong demand in Canada. At the same time, Burger King has been dealing with high competitive
tension in the United States fast food sector. For instance, Chipotle Mexican Grill recently led the
country s fast casual section. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Burger King faced stiff competition from coffee brewers and retailers McCafe and Starbucks
between 2011 and 2013. This tension led to Burger King s record of low revenue. Burger King
believes the merger can reinforce its brand demand and match it with McCafe or Starbucks
brand demands. In this case, Tim Hortons menu is diverse with breakfast segments that rival
those of Starbucks. Tim Hortons has a market share of over 70% for baked foods and 75% for
coffee in Canada (Tim Hortons Inc., 2013). These figures surpass both of Starbucks and
McDonalds market shares in Canada, which Burger King considers a source of revenue for the

Richard III And Richard Loncraine s Comparison Of Richard III
This focus will analyse the famous act one scene one from William Shakespeare s historic
tragedy, Richard III. This will be compared with the 1996 adaption of Richard III s act one scene
one, directed by Richard Loncraine. This analysis will take in to consideration, the elements of
film which regard to visual communication of the actors, costume design, a consideration in the
music will also be considered and the period of which it s set in. Camera angle choices and shots
will be analysed and how they convey to the audience by progressing through the story. Richard III
begins at a time of peace and prosperity, after a great civil war has taken place and has also
ravaged England. Richard (Duke of Gloucester) opens with a soliloquy and he does so alone:
Now is the winter of our discontent/ Made glorious summer by this son of York: (1:1:1:2). W.H.
Clemen identifies: ...Richard contrasts this joyful time with the period of war which has just
ended. (Clemen, 1957, 2). Richard speaks about how the Yorkist side has won the war, the
winter is described as events before the war and the summer is the victory by the Yorkist king
Edward. This soliloquy is a device used to identify Richard s character, he focuses on his psychical
appearance Cheated of feature by dissembling nature,/ Deformed, unfinished... (1:1:19:20). I am

The Phallic Journey
To be accepted is to be loved. In our society it is common to put up walls, wear masks, and remain
silent on conversations that we feel passionate about. This form of defense helps to maintain
relationships. Though it is unfortunate but the truth hurts and can divide not only a family, but a
nation. This paper explores the feeling of being unaccepted in your community, by your loved ones,
and from your own self. The movie Transparent (Rosskam, 2010), followed the lives of multiple
individuals all experiencing one thing in common, being transgender. Though their stories differed
each one expressed how their communities were not always welcoming. In society people often
fear what is foreign or unknown to them. They may not accept a person for... Show more content on

From the film Transparent (Rosskam, 2010), individuals described how difficult it was for them
to face themselves. Often they expressed how they felt trapped inside of their bodies unable to
get it right . This feeling was expressed by one individual stating that he understood how his
autistic son felt when he wanted to scream and didn t understand what was going on inside his
body. From the book, Gender Issues in Art Therapy (Hogan, 2002) the idea of not quite
understanding what was going on inside your body was related to the idea of belonging to a
homeland and how as a non heterosexual individuals may feel unaccepted and further felt as
though they needed to change or mask who they were: In the course of daily existence lesbians
and gay men make choices about disclosure, making ourselves as much of a fit as we can, or need
to be, in collusion. However, when the individual from the film shared their experience of accepting
themselves they noted how they were able to become a stronger, more authentic person released of

Ethics Of Eating Meat Research Paper
Is becoming a vegan really such a bad idea? People are starting to ask the question that most
people think about almost every day how is it made Statistics shows that more and more people
are becoming vegan or vegetarian once realizing what is happing to the food that is being
processed so poorly. Eating processed meator any other processed foodis not ethical. Because there
are several animal cruelty and environmental disasters involving the process of the occurrence.
One of the main reasons meat eating is not ethical is because of the way it affects others. The
4.8 pounds of grain fed to cattle to make one pound of beef represents a colossal waste of
resources in a world teeming with hungry and malnourished people (Frank Doolittle). The food
used to feed the cattle could easily be used for helping end world hunger. The amount of waste that
is being created for each animal is substantial. U.S. animal farms generate billion of tons of animal
waste every year, which the Environmental Protection Agency says pollute our waterways more
than all other industrial sources combined (Doolittle). The amount of water used during the process
of processing a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Ethics, The Solicitors Regulation Authority
Throughout the world ethical belief systems have been created amongst societies, organisations
and various professions. The largest built ethical systems exist amongst societies. To create and
be a part of civilised society individuals must choose to act in ways that further the common good
of one another. Aristotelian ethical philosophies state law is crucial in making citizens virtuous .
Laws of conduct used to govern society are formed by what is perceived as virtuous and just. Legal
professionals are not only governed by laws of the land but are morally and legally constrained by
a stringent code of ethics, known as the SolicitorsRegulation Authority. There are ten principles
that focus on 5 main core responsibilities a solicitor has with their client, business, regulator,
others, application, waivers and interpretations. A legal professional must have self regulation and
high ethical standards amongst its defining characterises. A breach of ethical conduct is when an
act of professional misconduct is committed by a lawyer who does something dishonourable to
him as a man and dishonourable in his professional RE G MAYOR COOKE (1889). To behave
with Integrity is the most sacred principle to emerge from the legal profession. Aristotle s book of
Nonomanchien Ethics suggests ethical virtue is concerned with feelings and actions it is necessary
to have the right feelings at the right time and for the right purpose . The simplicity of this
philosophy cannot be

Positive Impact Of Christopher Columbus Discoveries
Positive Impact of Christopher Columbus Discoveries
The world is a better place because of Christopher Columbus important discoveries in the New
World. His explorations resulted in the vast expansion of property for Europe, the exchange of
goods and cultures between countries and a change in the worldview of geography. Columbus s
explorations were the catalyst for unprecedented trade known as the Columbian Exchange, which
started the exchange of goods and ideas that would last for centuries and change the world forever.
His discoveries unearthed new perspectives and created a mix of diverse biology between Europe
and the New World. These exchanges changed the world we live in today and will continue to fuel
centuries of exploration and discoveries. The Columbian Exchange was the beginning of the
expansion of trade between the New World and Europe. The Columbian Exchange started the flow
of goods between continents that had not shared the same borders since Pangaea. McNeill stated
Columbus voyage, along with the many voyages that followed, disrupted much of the biological
segregation brought about by continental drift. (McNeil, 1). Journalist Charles Mann states in his
research for his book, 1493: Uncovering the New World Columbus Created, on the Columbian
Exchange that No other person, changed the face of the Earth as radically as Columbus did.
Columbus crossing of the Atlantic, Mann says, marked the start of a new age, not only for the
Americas but also

The Changing Role Of Flappers In The 1920 s
The 1920s, out with the old and in with the new. The Roaring Twenties was the decade of change
and prosperity where women wanted to be acknowledged for how they looked and dressed. Young
women also became more independent. This is how the famous term of a flapper came to be.
Flappers are young women and teenagers who dressed and acted differently with controversial
behavior.
Flappers brought a dramatic change to society that made women realize how they should be
treated. In the past, women had to be submissive all the time and not voice their opinions. Back in
the early centuries, women were involved in domestic violence and their husbands and boyfriends
would control how they looked and acted. After World War I, many young men who fought did not
return home. This left women to explore the world and try new things. They realized that life was
too short to do anything but have fun. (The Rise of the Flapper). The 1920s was finally the
breakthrough of change women had been waiting for for centuries. ... Show more content on

Feminism, the advocacy of women s rights on the grounds of political, social, and economic
equality to men, increased dramatically. They want to be treated equally as men are. Bruce
Blivens, an observer of flappers from the 1920s, stated, Women have highly resolved that they are
just as good as men, and intend to be treated so...they don t intend to be debarred from any
profession or occupation which they choose to enter (The Flapper, Feminism and Flappers). This
statement means that women want to be treated as good as men without the boundaries of gender

The Differences Of Aztecs And Mayan Civilizations
Aztecs and Mayans were the biggest civilizations in Mesoamerica. They are known for having
mass amounts of knowledge in subjects like astronomy, mathematics, agriculture and architecture.
These two civilizations have their own creation myth: Mayas have Popol Vuh, while Aztecs have
Mito de los Cinco Soles. Both works have given an insight on their culture s values, ways of living
and beliefs. However, when the Spanish came to America most of the books containing essential
information of these civilizations were destroyed. Some of the written works that were rescued
pertained to both: Mesoamerican and Spanish authors. The Mayan and Aztecworks Chilam Balam
and Presagios segГєn los informantes de SahagГєn describe Spanish brutality and abuses, defining
them as violent. In contrast Spanish works Segunda Carta de RelaciГіn de HernГЎn Cortes and
Carta de Pedro de Alvarado justify Spanish actions against Mesoamericas civilizations by
portraying their own leaders as saviors. Spanish and Mesoamerican civilizations texts show
contradictory points of view towards the conquest, creating skepticism on what really happened
during that time.
Popol Vuh and Mito de los Cinco Soles are relevant texts because they emphasize the importance of
sacrifice in their culture. The Mayan book, Popol Vuh, is a broad text that contains the myths of
earth, humanity, and life creation; as well as it emphasizes the influence deities had in their life.

UNIT 3 ESSAY: THE FOURTH BRANCH OF GOVERNMENT Norma Rogers January 4, 2011
Kaplan University Dr. Warren PA165 01 The Fourth Branch of Government It has been taught since
elementary school that the United States government consists of three branches, including the
Executive, Legislative, and Judicial. However, in those early days, there were no lessons on the
influential fourth branch of government that operates alongside the other three and plays a central
and increasingly active role in the system of checks and balances that was apparently designed to
keep any one group from getting too much power. This essay defines the fourth branch of

Department of Environmental Protection, which is regulated by the United States Environmental

Hacking Is The Responsibility Of The Computer System The argument between two hackers who say that it is the responsibility of the owners of the computer system to provide adequate security to keep hackers at bay are completely wrong. Neither their argument nor their perspective holds ground. Before we look into the reasons behind why they are wrong, it is important to first comprehend in detail about hacking and hackers. So what is hacking? The term hacking was first promoted by the famous MIT between 1950s and 1960s. It all started as a fun experiment in a lab, but it led to something completely different today. Hacking is a term used to describe unauthorized, illegal intrusion into a network of connected systems or just an individual system. It is a technical effort or a process that is used to exploit the vulnerabilities of a system or connected systems to gain unauthorized access. Today it is synonymous with malicious activity on the web. The act of hacking is carried out by powerful and highly skilled programmers known as hackers who possess advanced knowledge about the systems. They do it because they are confident about their skills and succeeding in their hacking attempts. These proficient individuals are extremely inquisitive who are in pursuit of private information that is not publicly available. Accessing confidential or private information is just one small part of hacking. They are capable of controlling, modifying and denying the system from any kind of connections or cripple the system entirely bringing it ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Interview Panel On The Middle School Basketball Coaches Essay Activity Description and Summary For this activity I was responsible for being part of our interview panel to hire our middle school basketball coaches. We hired four coaches to help mentor our fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade boys basketball teams. I was part of a three person interview panel that featured our principal, athletic director, and me. This interview process was the first time I ve been a part of hiring someone to feel a need at the school. The topic we interviewed is something I was comfortable with because I have coached basketball the past six years. I felt like I could find us the right fit and discussed the opportunity to be a part of the hiring process because of the need of this internship activity. It s hard to find an interview process during the year for teachers, but I believe coaching is a great substitute for teaching because it is an extension of the classroom. Learning how to play a sport and how you conduct yourself on the court can help you later in life. I wanted to find a candidate that could be a role model for the students and help teach them life lessons through the game of basketball. We all agreed we are looking for someone who will stress that basketball doesn t come above our education and our families. Our school has struggled with student achievement and I think sports can help motivate students to do better in the classroom. The class that best aligns with the hiring process is EL 5623. The memoir Night, written by Elie Wiesel describes the brutality Wiesel experienced during the Holocaust, and how life changing it was. Although some may believe the memoir written by Elie Wieselwas titled Night because he was forced to leave his home during the night, Wiesel illustrates Jewslosing hope, faith, and happiness through the symbol of Night, to prove that the memoir was titled Night to symbolize the darkness the holocaust created. Is this example, the darkness the night brings symbolises loss of hope, and becoming closer to death. Once Wiesel gave up trying, and claimed it was over, the light in his life got slightly dimmer, and he became closer to death. The next reason Night was the title of the memoir written by Wiesel was because the darkness in night symbolized death. Thousands of Jews were sentenced to death each day, leaving everybody a little more hurt and broken. The first example of death, that helps portray the title of Night, is in the quote, Was there a single place here where you were not in danger of death? (Wiesel 37). In this quote, Wiesel shows how dangerous and recurrent death was and bases the title off of these dangerous, mass killings. Darkness commonly symbolizes death, and the pain and suffering one feels being exposed to it. The symbol also helps show that the killings were not normal, they were darker like the night, more evil and inhumane than anything they had previously experienced. The title Night, symbolizes the darkness during this painful event, and the darkness universally symbolizes evil. So by using the title Night, Wiesel is able to indirectly explain how inhumane these mass killings really are. Another quote that shows the title is used to symbolize ... Although, the women who runs the company takes care of everything, such as the accounting, marketing, and human resource departments altogether, with some input from within the company, and runs a very structured company. All the various departments she takes care of do tend towards the same goals and all the set tasks and responsibilities the company has in place at the time. For any organization out there, there is a responsibility when it comes to managing diversity. When I was reading the material this week this question that Edwards posed stuck with me: how can we know when we should treat people similarly because of their similarities, and when is it more fair to treat people differently because of their differences (Arvinen Muondo Perkins, 2013)? Though America may be diverse, there is still a huge factor that separates people and prevents those from becoming an equal. That discrepancy is the iniquity in social classes. On September of 2011, Matt Wuerker a political cartoonist for Politico, published Kitchen Tables that highlighted the injustice in social classes. It is a cartoon that consist of three different drawings of kitchen tables that Americans sit around: a luxurious upper class, an average middle class, and a deprived underclass. Wuerker used unequal proportion between each of the drawings size to represent the iniquity within social classes. He not only gave the upper class half of the paper, but he also labeled it the top 1% . Wuerker even used colors that symbolized the meaning of the political cartoon. The upper class has an elegant golden table, with a purple shadow casting underneath it. The middle class has a green table, with a dirt green background. The underclass has a rusty bucket that is flipped upside down for a table, with a somber blue background. Wuerker used wit to display a serious message that is effecting people throughout America. Plate Tectonics, And The World Plate Tectonics, And their relation to the world. ___ By Jillian Abreu There are many ways that earthquakes, plate boundaries, volcanoes, seafloor spreading, the Earth s core, convection currents, and subduction connect to each other, but the main way they are all connected is by plate tectonics. It all starts with plate tectonics. A theory by Alfred Wagner said that Pangaea, which is a land mass of all the continents combined, had been moved by continental drift to form the positions our continents are in now. This led to the theory of plate tectonics. This theory stated that pieces of the Earth s lithosphere are in slow, but constant motion, driven by convection currents in the mantle. A reason that backed up this theory was... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The mantle is one of many layers of the Earth s core. As you can see from the picture on the left, the first layer is the Earth s crust, which compared to earth, is like a sheet of paper wrapped around a basket ball. The next layer is the lithosphere. This layer is broken into plates, better known as the tectonic plates mentioned earlier. The asthenosphere comes next, which is weak compared to the lithosphere. Since the layer is hotter, the layer is more soft. As we get closer to the center, we look at the mantle. The mantle is made of thick, solid rock. The next layer is the outer core. This core contains of liquid magma with much iron and nickel. Lastly, there is the inner core. This layer is so hot that the heat melts metal ores into liquid magma. In this mantle, there are convection currents. Heat from the core causes convection currents to slowly move the Earth s crust around. All over the crust s surface, crust is destroyed, and reformed. All plate boundaries movements are moved by convection currents in the mantle. At the boundaries between plates, magma is able to force its way to the surface and escape as lava. There are three different types of plate boundaries known as convergent, divergent, and transform. Convergent Divergent Transform As you can see, with convergent plate boundaries, they ... • 15. Review Of Vampire Bats 1.Vampire bats give blood to unrelated vampire bats for several reasons. Among the reasons are the cost sharing of blood, the benefit of sharing blood and the probability that the bats that were given blood will in turn reciprocate and give blood to other bats at a later date. The cooperative equilibria in bloodsharing among bats means that the sharing of blood will occur if the benefits of sharing blood multiplied by the probability that blood sharing will be beneficial in the future is greater than the cost of sharing blood. If a bat shares blood with another bat (even an unrelated bat), the bat that is the recipient is expected to donate blood to other bats at a larger rate than it received at a later time. A donor bat will give blood to a bat that has not had a meal so that this bat can have the opportunity to hunt again, giving an increased chance that it will reciprocate to another bat that has not had a meal, enabling the roost to maintain survival. In the event that a recipient bat does not reciprocate in the future, that bat will not be donated to if it needs it in the future, thus allowing for recipient bats to be donor bats in the future as needed. 2.In the Berg, Dickhaut and McCabe (1995) study, factors that influence the likelihood of trust in economic transactions is a fundamental assumption that individuals act in their own self interest which is often combined with other assumptions that (1) objects of interest are restricted to personal consumption; ... • 16. Solving The Foreclosure Crisis That Devastated The Nation... Many Americans have and still have been haunted by their pasts. Most of us have learned not to judge others by backgrounds or past choices, but when it comes to financial credit, our pasts are not so easily overlooked. With the slow but sure recovery of the foreclosure crisis that devastated the nation years ago, hangs a hand of hope that offers a second chance to boomerang buyers who merely just want to get back into home ownership. The rent to own option is the best choice for these buyers who want a second shot to do it all over. In its simplest terms, renting to own means that a piece of property such as a home is leased in exchange for payment. This payment is owed either monthly or weekly depending on the owner who places the house up for lease. Although, with this option the buyer has the chance to purchase the house through time. When people buy a home they have to pay extra amounts that are not covered by the actual price of the home. These extra expenses include down payments and closing costs. With the rent to own option buyers will only pay a security rental deposit and also have the choice of paying an option deposit as well. Another benefit that comes along with this option is the flexibility it provides for the buyers. The owners whom are leasing the house to these buyers will not discredit them because of their bad past credits. They will simply continue their agreement with the buyer if they see that payments are being made when they are supposed to. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Next, the theoretical moment of inertia of the Ring was calculated using equation 3 below. I_ring^th=1/2 M_r (R_1^2+R_2^2)(3) In the equation above, I_ring^this the theoretical moment of inertia of the Ring, Mr is the mass of the ring, R_1^2 is the inner radius of the ring, and R_2^2 is the outer radius of the ring. In order to compare the experimental and theoretical moments of inertia of the Ring, the experimental moment of inertia of the ring alone has to be calculated. It is given that the experimental moment of the system equals to the experimental moment of inertia of the ring plus the experimental moment of inertia of the disk. The experimental moment of inertia can be found by solving ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Interestingly a comparison between Neanderthal and modern human DNA suggests the two lineages diverged from a common ancestor, most likely Homo heidelbergensis! Discovery On October 21, 1907, Daniel Hartmann spotted a jaw while working in a sandpit in Mauer, near Heidelberg, Germany (49.3389В° N, 8.7986В° E.) This evidence shows they flourished in a rich and diverse cooling epoch called the Pleistocene, which was a cooling period with intermittent glaciers covering North America and Europe (Eldredge 2000) and deserts spread over northern Africa separating the populations of plants and animals, including humans (Zuk 2013). These cooling and recurrent glaciations led to the physical adaptation of shorter and wider bodies in an attempt to conserve heat in this cooler climate. Dating Many fossils of this species have been dated with various methods. One such was by sequencing mitochondrial DNA from a femur bone found at the Sima de los Huesos ( pit of bones ) in northern Spain by Svante Paabo, a biologist at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology. After sequencing, researchers compared the result with genetic information from Neanderthals and Denisovans and dated them to over 300,000 years (Meyer 2013). Description The first preserved bones for this species was a lower jaw with teeth, found near Heidelberg, Germany. Other fossils include 5,500 bone fragments from 28 individuals found in The Pit of Bones , Spain, and possibly a fossilized skullcap discovered in northern India s Narmada Valley that currently represents the easternmost occurrence (Meyer 2013). • 42. Case Study Of Burger King And Tim Hortons The size of potential synergies is small as Burger King and Tim Hortons will continue working as distinct brands. As a result, only common corporate services and several purchase savings will enjoy any arising synergies. 2.1 Burger King First, Burger King will experience an increase in revenue after taking over Tim Hortons (Kirby, 2014). The increase of revenue is due to the improved menu resources. However, menu resources will not help Burger King outdo its current competitors like McDonalds. The Roaring Twenties was the decade of change and prosperity where women wanted to be acknowledged for how they looked and dressed. Young women also became more independent. This is how the famous term of a flapper came to be. Flappers are young women and teenagers who dressed and acted differently with controversial behavior. Flappers brought a dramatic change to society that made women realize how they should be treated. In the past, women had to be submissive all the time and not voice their opinions. Back in the early centuries, women were involved in domestic violence and their husbands and boyfriends would control how they looked and acted. After World War I, many young men who fought did not return home. This left women to explore the world and try new things. They realized that life was too short to do anything but have fun. They are known for having mass amounts of knowledge in subjects like astronomy, mathematics, agriculture and architecture. These two civilizations have their own creation myth: Mayas have Popol Vuh, while Aztecs have Mito de los Cinco Soles. Both works have given an insight on their culture s values, ways of living and beliefs. However, when the Spanish came to America most of the books containing essential information of these civilizations were destroyed. Some of the written works that were rescued pertained to both: Mesoamerican and Spanish authors. The Mayan and Aztecworks Chilam Balam and Presagios segГєn los informantes de SahagГєn describe Spanish brutality and abuses, defining them as violent. In contrast Spanish works Segunda Carta de RelaciГіn de HernГЎn Cortes and Carta de Pedro de Alvarado justify Spanish actions against Mesoamericas civilizations by portraying their own leaders as saviors. Spanish and Mesoamerican civilizations texts show contradictory points of view towards the conquest, creating skepticism on what really happened during that time. Popol Vuh and Mito de los Cinco Soles are relevant texts because they emphasize the importance of sacrifice in their culture.
