May 1, 2012
Disputes, disagreements, differing opinions, and arguments, what do they all have in common? They
all involve two persons or groups that have different ideas that are in conflict with the other. When
these differences arise we as a civilized society usually are able to work out some solution that may
work to the benefit of both parties. This process of resolving these conflicts is called Dispute
Resolution.
There are three basic categories of Dispute Resolution that are often used: 1) Negotiation; 2)
Mediation; And 3) Arbitration. Negotiation is the process where the two parties will ... Show more

This process does not stop as we grow older. As we age our life experiences have great input on how
our decision making process works and what values, beliefs, and standards that we seek to uphold.
The actions that occur as a result of our thinking process can be considered Ethics. In essence, Ethics
is a study of our actions that can be considered right or wrong behavior. (Miller, 2012, p. 61) Business
Ethics is the study of the decisions we make in the business environment and whether or not those
decisions are good or bad.
Two schools of thought are primary to Ethics and how we subscribe or view them. The first school is
considered Outcome based Ethics. This school of thought is also referred to as Utilitarianism. The
basic premise is that the end result of the action or decision justifies the action or decision that was
made or taken. Another way of putting it is that the ends justify the means. (Miller, 2012, p. 64) The
second school of thought is considered Duty based Ethics. Duty Based Ethics is often based on
religious percepts or philosophical reasoning. On the religious precepts, one example would be the
Christian used of the 10 commandments. Christianity bases its code of conduct and behavior on these
10 rudimentary principles for living and dealing with others. The philosophical approach was put

Full Range Leadership Development (FRLD)
What I have found most valuable from model three is the Full Range Leadership Development
(FRLD). I found leadership behaviors within the FRLD most valuable because I have two leadership
behaviors that stick out to me. One is a contingent reward; I like to reward my subordinates and peers
with time off or a barbeque when they exceed the standards or goals that I have set for them. I believe
that contingent rewards stimulate comradery in the work center for my subordinates and peers so they
enjoy coming to work. The second leadership behavior that I believe I have is Management by
Exception Passive (MBE P). I believe my MBE P approach to the work center is hurting my ability to
lead because I get wrapped up in my work and cannot effectively

Interview With A Research Coordinator Essay
Analysis of an Interview with a Research Coordinator
Summary
This interview aims to help students understand the role of the research coordinator (RC) and what it
is like for that person to bring a large scale research project from conception to completion. The
interview participant has worked as a RC for many years and has a strong background in statistics.
According to the participant, an essential qualification for a RC is a solid understanding of statistical
concepts and analyses, and the ability to build on that knowledge and apply it to statistical computer
programs. This foundational knowledge is needed because a project can involve a significant amount
of analysis and coding from data. The participant s current research project is a large scale project
involving the implementation of public health policy for BC and Ontario. This research is dynamic
and challenging and always evolving, which requires the RC to be flexible and adaptable. For many of
the team members, this project is not a primary job; therefore, it is important for the RC to find the
balance between project deadlines and allowing people to have personal time. Despite being the lead
for this project, the participant shares decision making with a variety of people and government
agencies in both provinces, which brings various levels of bureaucratic challenges, including gaining
access to data. This and other logistical constraints can make analyzing data and producing papers
time consuming.

How Does Self Awareness Affects And Impedes The Process Of...
As a future counselor, it is important that we realize how much self awareness plays apart in counselor
competence. Although the focus of the course is multicultural counseling, the lack of overall counselor
awareness affects and impedes the process of providing appropriate therapeutic care. It is vital that
you become aware of the assumptions, stereotypes, and biases you may have about clients who are
different from yourself on all the dimensions included in this framework (D Andrea, 2001).When I
speak of awareness, it s not just about bias, stereotypes, and difference in worldview, but in order to
increase personal and professional development as a counselor, you must be aware of resources and
agencies at your disposal that you can use to properly serve clients from all cultures.
When I look at when I started the course I was pretty sure that I was abreast and aware of what culture
is, and what it consists of, and honestly I was wrong. At this point, I have come to the realization that
culture is more than where you come from and a language, but it encompasses way more than that,
from your look, attitude, beliefs, values, and even how others view you. Personally, after taking the
multicultural assessment, I was disappointed because throughout the assessment I was sure that my
score was going to be on the higher end. After receiving my score, I questioned how much I invest and
immerse myself in other cultures besides my own. I also became aware of the fact that

The Importance Of American Indians In Schools
Personally, I think that learning about American Indians in school is a good thing. Especially in
Minnesota, since this is our home, we should learn about how they lived and were treated before we
modernized the land. In the last few weeks we have learned about 2 of the strongest, most noble
American Indians know to Minnesota. I have learned that they were treated poorly, and that our
government had promised them safe land to use and practice their beliefs. As we found out, our
government did not uphold their promises and basically were stealing the land right out from under
them. Secondly, I feel that we have the right to learn about what happened to the children. Being sent
off to schools where they get beat and tortured out of learning

Problems:
As written in the case study, earlier the SYSCO operating regions had conducted their own HR
practices without consulting the HR department. This was the big problem and could have led to
negative impact on company s growth. Cooperation between operating managers and the HR
department is extremely important for HR efforts to succeed. HR also known as employee advocates
or company morale officers who serves all employee issues or concerns with managing organization s
strategies and goals. But without the HR advocate role, there could be a risk for employer to face
lawsuits and other regulatory complaints.
Another problem in the SYSCO case study was the safety. Workplace safety and security has grown in
importance along with disaster and recovery planning. Also, with explosive internet growth, many
employees and managers uses social media such as wikis, blogs, tweets and other techniques. Though
it is extremely helpful, but still the risk of social media is apparent. This could lead to many problems
such as leakage of trade secrets, potential customers information and privacy of all the employees.
Increase in safety issues resulted in increase of compensation claims by workers or other agencies.
A high turnover rate of night shift warehouse workers was another problem faced by the SYSCO.
Recruiting new workers regularly has become a big challenge for SYSCO.
Another problem was related to the

Civilized, Sense And Sensibility, By Jane Austen
Enjoyable, civilized Sense and Sensibility was the first and one of Jane Austen s novels; she wrote it
in 1795, but it was not published for 16 years. It was written by a young woman who ostensibly had
little experience of the world although her fiction proves she missed the little that occurred on her
domestic stage and the story reflects that orientation, as a mother and her three daughters wait
passively while all the interesting men in the vicinity disappear on unexplained missions to London.
In a modern story, the women would have demanded explanations. What gives Sense and Sensibility
its tension and mystery are that the characters rarely say what they mean. There is great gossip within
the women s sphere, but with men. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Edward leaves suddenly for London. The next man to appear is Col. Brandon, played by that
indispensable Alan Rickman. He is attracted to Marianne, but before he can act, she is smitten by the
dashing Willoughby (Greg Wise), who rescues her from a mishap and charms her off her feet. No
sooner have these men appeared when they, too, are called away to London although not before Col.
Brandon has suggested, almost by osmosis, that he knows something unspeakable about his rival
Willoughby.
His secret is the sort of thing that would not be a secret long in the modern age, but in Austen s time,
such things were not spoken of, and Brandon might even allow Marianne to make a disastrous
marriage rather than tell her what her maidenly ears should never hear. This maddening, intriguing
inability to simply blurt out the truth is indispensable to 19th century fiction, and I find it enormously
satisfying. Better the character who leaves us to guess at unspeakable depths than one who bores us
with confessional psychobabble.
The men s departure to London leaves the three daughters and their mother facing an indefinite future
in their sewing circle. So, when a kindly relative proposes a visit to London, they seize upon it with
desperation, and it is there that secrets are revealed and alliances are smashed or formed. The
screenplay, adapted from Austen by Emma Thompson, takes wicked delight

Models Of Theories Of Memory
Evaluate two models of theories of memory.
This essay will evaluate two models of theories of memory. Memory can be defined as the persistence
of learning over time via the encoding, storage, and retrieval of information. Encoding is the process
of categorizing incoming information through conscious effortful processing, rehearsal, or
unconscious automatic processing. The storage process involves the retention of encoded information
over time. Lastly, retrieval is the process of getting information out of memory. There are various
types of memory. Sensory memory is the immediate, initial recording of sensory information in the
memory system. It also plays a vital role in filtering out useless information, enabling us to focus our
... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Some information from the sensory store moves to the STM by paying attention to information, while
some information from the STM moves to the LTM via constant rehearsal of that information. Once
that piece of information is stored in the LTM, it is long lasting perhaps even for a lifetime if that
certain piece of information is that strong. The difference in forgetting between the STM and LTM is
that memory forgotten from the short term store is lost whereas forgotten memories in the LTM are
still in the system but cannot be retrieved. The sensory, short term, and long term memory stores also
differ from one another in regards to duration (how long information can be stored), capacity (how
much information can be stored), and coding (in what form information can be stored). The sensory
store decays rapidly, has unlimited capacity, and the information is picked up by our senses. Sensory
memory includes iconic (visual), haptic (touch), and echoic (auditory) memories as well. STM lasts 15
30 seconds, is limited to 7 plus/minus 2 units, and is coded acousting. The information in STM is lost
unless it is rehearsed via repetition. On the other hand, LTM can potentially last a lifetime, has
unlimited capacity, and the information stored is primarily semantic but also acoustic and visual. The
strengths of the multi store model include: it stimulated further research into memory processes; it has
considerable evidence for

The Tax Rate And Private Savings Essay
Figure (7) may work as another evidence of the inability of Egyptian tax system to mobilize domestic
savings, as it shows that while domestic private savings, as a percent of GDP, was fluctuating around a
downward sloping trend, marginal tax rate was fluctuating around a relatively horizontal trend which
indicates that marginal tax rate has no or insignificant power over stimulating domestic private
savings.
Figure 7.Marginal Tax Rate and Private Domestic Savings to GDP Source: Author s calculations based
on data extracted from Ministry of Finance, Monthly Financial Report, different editions.
To verify this conclusion, the effect of main sources of tax revenue (taxes on income, taxes on
property, taxes on goods and services and tariff) on domestic savings will be examined statistically.
The only source of tax revenue that has statistically significant effect on domestic savings is property
tax. Tax on properties is negatively related to domestic savings with coefficient 12, see appendix (3).
Accordingly, small reduction in property taxes will have magnitude increase in domestic savings.
Thus, if financial markets are operating efficiently, tax cut on properties will have a considerable
positive effect on the process of economic growth, especially since property taxes represent only
3.6%, in average, of total tax revenue.
While domestic saving is a leakage of income that flows outside the economy; however, it can be re
injected in the economy again

Similarities Between A German Shepherd And Gray Wolf
You ever wondered what a German Shepherd and Gray Wolf have in common? Well here they are.
Their traits, diets, and habitats have similarities and differences. They both have unique body
structures. Also, they are both have many structures that make them unique in their own way. Yum!
This is what a German Shepherd and Gray Wolfe say while eating their meal. Let s see, a wolf eats
large hoofed animals like deer and moose. However, German Shepherds eat smaller animals like fish
and birds. Both animals will settle for easy prey....already dead animals.A wolf will also eat beaver
and other wolves. A German Shepherd will eat, if it s a pet, dog food, if not , reptiles and even insects

Organizational Theory Of Organizational Management
Organizational theory studies the various variables that influence the behavior of an individual(s)
working within an organization, but also, prescribes how work and workers ought to be organized and
attempts to explain the actual consequences of organizational behavior (including individual actions)
on work being performed and on the organization itself. (Milakovich Gordon, 2013, p.145). Of the
many approaches to organizational analysis, Classical Organizational theory has been, even to this
day, extremely influential by focusing on more formal concepts such as bureaucracy, rationalization
and scientific management. Although, over the decades organizational management has taken on a
more human relations approach to getting more productivity out of employees, it is contributors like
Max Webber, Fredrick Taylor, and Luther Gulick that laid down the basic foundation organizational
theories by recognizing the need for control and procedures. Weber s bureaucratic approach focuses on
the importance of hierarchy by putting great emphasis on the use of rules, procedures and making
impartial personnel decisions when managing. He put great emphasis on the jurisdiction, explaining
that work should be divided according to type and purpose staying within the correct working unit just
as the organization s rules and laws would state (Milakovich, et. al., 2013, p. 146). A hierarchy would
be established with a chain of command clearly identifying a system of super and

The Travels of Sir John Mandeville
The Travels of Sir John Mandeville was written in approximately 1357 and is an account of Sir John
Mandeville s 30 year odyssey throughout Europe, North Africa, the Far East, and Arabia. The Travels
was originally written in French and because of its immense popularity was translated into all major
European languages, of which three hundred survive today. The Travels became a major source for
geographical information for the next two centuries. Two notable historical figures that relied upon
Mandeville s guide were Leonardo da Vinci and Christopher Columbus. It is unknown whether Sir

These are but a few of the fantastical tales that helped mesmerize readers of the late Middle Ages.
However, Mandeville was not concerned with whether his tales were believable or not. His purpose,
more so than a guide to travel for your average citizen, was to show people that there were others in
this world with thoughts and ideas and maybe those thoughts and ideas deserved some merit.
Throughout his book, Mandeville is very specific about morals and values, especially Christian morals
and values. In Chapter 32, he tells of the Isle of Bragman and the people who live there who are not
Christians. He says In this land are no thieves, no murderers, no prostitutes, no liars, no beggars; they
are men as pure in conversation and as clean living as if they were men of religion . (p. 178)
Mandeville believed that God loved them because they were good people, despite the fact that they
were not Christians. He tells us of Christian men: Jacobites, Saracens, Surrianes, Arians, Nubians,
Indians and Georgienes who have different laws and customs, but all believe in God although their
rites and beliefs may be different than your own. Mandeville was calling on Christians to reform and
wake up! Judge not!
One would also to think that that Mandeville wanted to instill in people a thirst for geography. He

Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)
Important Reminders When Getting Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy [PART I]
Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) also known as natural hormone therapy works
when Bioidentical hormones act in the body just like the hormones we produce. It is primarily used to
reduce the symptoms of menopause. Today, it is also used for clinical testing of blood and saliva, for
anti aging purposes, and overall improving the quality of life for women who have symptoms of
menopause.
Bioidentical hormones have the exact molecular structure of those endogenous or natural hormones in
a person s body and produce the same physiochemical responses. However, only a few women
understand the importance of bioidentical hormones because they are mostly focused on the source of
the hormones rather than the effects produced. If BHRT is not given appropriately, it may lead to
different risks memory loss, weight gain, fibrocystic breasts, mood ... Show more content on

The angles that women should know are these three (3) important reminders, especially when talking
about covering hormone supplementation.
Reminder #1 Choose BHRT when you are truly deficient with hormones
This is common sense. You should not take insulin when you still have enough. Some women get
paranoid over the notion that they are reaching 40 and that means menopause and menopause mean
you become estrogen deficient. Yes, we understand that you do not want them to leave the building.
But BHRT is for people who have the hormone deficiency.
The typical assumption of the conventional medicine is that women after menopause become deficient
with estrogen; however, this assumption is false. However, all credible experts agree that over 66% of
women ages 80 and up still continue to make all the estrogen they need. Because of an aromatase
enzyme, women still make estrogen even with the ovaries removed.
You would know that you have enough estrogen in the body when:

My Family s Influence On My Life
The word community maintains an assortment of meanings for each of us. These meanings are
composed from various life experiences within our communities. To me, my communities include my
family, friends, schools, work, and the town I live in. My communities have had an influence on who I
have become as a person and continue to influence me on a daily basis. As I reflect back on the past
twenty years, the community that has had the most impact on me is my family. Now, everyone has
their own definition of family. So, when I say the word family, I am referring to my mom and dad.
These two people have had the most influence on my life. From the very beginning, I began to shape
the person I am based on the people my parents are. I can remember spending many hours with my
dad in his shop, watching him diagnose mechanical problems. Then I would watch as he took apart a
machine piece by piece, only to reassemble it exactly the same way once the problem at hand was
resolved. As the years progressed, I became closer with my mom, spending the majority of my time
with her. I would help her around the house with everyday chores. I can remember the joy I
experienced when I was able to go to work with mom. I would watch in awe at the number of tasks
my mother was responsible for at one time. How she would swiftly move from one task to another,
handling the many interruptions, and balancing the numerous new tasks placed on her desk each day.

My Student Leader Interview, A University Of Toledo And...
For my student leader interview, I interviewed Cordaro (Cord) Murry H. He is a junior here at the
University of Toledo and someone I personally look up for multiple reasons. Cord gives off a vibe that
just says, Hey! I m a natural leader! It makes band flow easier when he gives instructions and it also
makes him much more approachable than the head director. Cord is what I imagine a leader who is
dedicated to their followers looks like.
Cord is highly involved in both the Rocket Marching Band and in his fraternity, Triangle. For the
Rocket Marching Band, Cord was a squad leader in the fall of 2015 and is now the Piccolo section
leader. As a squad leader, Cord ensured that those around him knew the marching drill so that practice
ran smoothly. He also assisted underclassmen with learning traditions about the Rocket Marching
Band. As the piccolo section leader, Cord gives advice and instructions to the help the piccolo section
get through practices and performances. He is also our voice and our connection to the drum majors
and directors. Cord gained his positions of leadership in the Rocket Marching band through an
application and an interview process with the directors. In his fraternity, Triangle, Cord has assumed
many positions throughout his time with the fraternity. Cord began his leadership journey for Triangle
as the treasurer during the spring and summer semesters of 2016. As treasurer, he collected dues, paid
bills, and set up fundraisers for the fraternity.

Michael Moore Discussion Questions
Michael Moore is a wonderful director but, I honestly don t think he deserve this award for Best
Documentary Feature Film Because during his documentary he chose two random interview that so
ever had no significance to each other. Moore takes seven different sentences from five different parts
of Heston s speech and splices them together to create one speech. Not to mention the infamous line
from my cold, dead hands. This line was actually taken from a speech a year later when Heston was

that I personally don t think it s a clever move because he wasn t once again proving how the shooting
of colorado had an effect on that since that s why his movie Bowling For Columbine was about.
Before the movie can even get under way, Michael Moore is already lying to the audience. Michael
Moore is trying to show how easy it is to get a gun. There is a bank in Northern Michigan that offers a
deal where, if you start a bank account, they hand you a gun. What Michael Moore doesn t show is the
fact that it takes several weeks and two background checks to get his gun. It takes at least two weeks
to get the gun he wants. There is also no gun inventory from the bank as Michael Moore

Theme Of Wait And Hope In The Count Of Monte Cristo
The Count of Monte Cristo, written by Alexandre Dumas, is an adventure novel published in 1844 in
France which gained worldwide popularity for its universal themes. Dumas incorporated themes of
moral justice, ultimate happiness, and hope. These themes are apparent throughout this novel, where
the main character Edmond Dantes, or The Count of Monte Cristo, takes justice into his own hands,
and plays God to get his vengeance on those who have wronged him. In the following essay I will
analyze the true meaning of wait and hope found in this novel. Edmond Dantes had an extremely
successful young life, he was engaged, he was about to be captain of a ship, and he was quite popular
all before the age of 20. Unfortunately, who he thought were his friends were envious of all his
success. Fernand Mondego was in love with his fiance Mercedes, his cohort Danglars wanted to have
the success that he had for himself, and Caderousse was jealous of him as well. Together, the trio
destroyed his life by putting him in prison to steal everything good away from him. Danglars created
the plot to frame Dantès for treason, Fernand mailed the letter they constructed, and Villefort sent the
Count to jail only to protect his own father and himself. Dantes spent fourteen years in prison, but in
this time he grew up and discovered his true values with the help of his greatest mentor and jail
neighbor Abbe Faria. He became a teacher to him during their several years as prisoners, and he taught

what they want to do with the generous gift. Using this gift towards the wages of the new officers will
help the department from being stretched too thin on patrols for as long as it lasts, the only pit falls
may come from when the money runs out and the department now has to budget just how to keep the
officers.
WHERE?
Our team has been given a significant amount of money to help a police department increase their
ability to do patrols within a police department area. However, when a location is being decided it is
important to take a few things into factor. These factors are: location, community size, amount of
crime in that area and the number of patrols already on duty on a given shift. From what I have read in
the papers, the locations that are suffering the most is larger cities due to major budget cuts. The
reason that these areas suffer the most is because there are more areas that need to be patrolled due to
higher crime and the populations are so large that it requires a larger number of police officers to do
these patrols. However, they are suffering the most because they have to cut back which means that
the officers that they are allowed to keep, have to patrol more areas in less time. This leads to higher
crime rates because the officers

How Intarsia Is The Woodworking Technique That Uses Varied...
Introduction
Intarsia is the woodworking technique that uses varied shapes, sizes and different species of wood that
are fitted together to create a 3 dimensional, mosaic like picture. Intarsia is created through the
selection of different types of wood, using their natural grain pattern and color to create variations in
the pattern. The different species and colors of the wood contrasting lights and values. Similarly, grain
gives the art amazing texture and makes it very realistic. After selecting the specific woods to be used
within the pattern, each piece of wood is then individually cut, shaped, and sanded.
The ancient art of intarsia, the making of decorative and pictorial mosaics, inspired both marquetry
and inlay. Through the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
History
The Mediterranean world in the Middle Ages was covered in vast woodlands that composed a mixture
of hard and softwood trees. The forests of Italy were abundant and diverse. Wood was a main source
of fuel for most of Europe for generating heat during the harsh winters. This heat was also important
for cooking, firing bricks, ceramics and glass. It was also used in casting and forging a number of
different metals. The building and mining industries relied mainly on the local forests for beams for
bridges, cranes, rafters, ceilings, and doors. A large amount of tree species could not be used for
lumber or heat. These species were used in luxury woodworking. Some examples were sculpture,
furniture, and intarsia decorations.
The word intarsia comes from the Italian word tarsia and intarsiare which means to inlay. It is defined
as a mosaic usually of small pieces of wood which are inserted and glued into hollows of a wooden
support that was popular in the 15th century Italy for decoration featuring especially scrolls,
arabesques, architectural scenes, and flowers (Gibbo). The palette of different of intarsia artist were
gathered from timber merchants or from the customer. These artists could use up to 25 different
species of wood for one intarsia decoration. The reason for the different species is the grain, color and
texture of each one is different. The colors have a broad range from light

increase of over 200% in 5 years. Cars assembly production continues to increase and has reached
101,319 vehicles in 2007; increasing by 118% from 46,422 units in 2003. With few successes and
many failures over the past five decades, the car industry in Egypt developed as an assembly operation
rather Than manufacturing. This essay discusses the economic factors that are affecting the demand

This two separate species may be the result of Natural Selection. Natural Selection is a process when
the environment chooses which trait will best fits the environment. The organism that is a best fit to
the environment has a better chance of survival, and a better chance of passing on its traits. The Desert
Iguana and the Inselberg Iguana are similar but they also have different characteristics. Their skin
color and diet, are just some of the things that are different. The Inselberg Iguana s skin color is darker
than the Desert Iguana. It s darker skin color help it blends in with the Inselberg s rocky terrain,
escaping predators. The darker skin trait is in the Inselberg Lizards genes. The lighter Inselberg
Lizards are dying off because predators can easily spot them and rarely survive to reproduce. Much
less often than the darker skin one. Through time, they eventually became all darker skin and now
seen as a different species to the Desert Iguanas.
Speciation is a process in which one species gives rise to another, and this process may have occur
here. There are two types of speciation, allopatric and sympatric speciation. Allopatric speciation is
when isolation, time, and natural selection may cause a new species to emerge. This type of speciation
often requires geographical isolation of a small population of the species. Sympatric speciation

International Awareness And Intercultural Competence
Background Global awareness and intercultural competence are some of the hottest buzz words in
higher education right now. With the U.S. population becoming more diverse, and our economy
increasingly interlinked with economic issues globally, government, business, and society at large are
looking more and more to higher education to create the human capital necessary to continue U.S.
preeminence around the globe (Duncan, 2011). The method of choice in higher education for teaching
these competencies is through travel as a form of exposure to the world . This educational archetype is
generally termed study abroad . The majority of existing research around learning through travel
centers on the undergraduate study abroad experience (Lewin, 2009; VandeBerg, Paige, Lou, 2012).
This is because study abroad is generally an undergraduate phenomena, and is much rarer at the
graduate level. Graduate business education, particularly within MBA programs, is an exception. The
proliferation of travel programs within in MBA programs, with the goal of teaching students the skills
needed to be successful working in the global marketplace, can be directly linked to close relationship
between Business Schools and multinational corporations. The connection between higher education
and the market place is not new, as Rhoades and Slaughter (1994) vividly described in their 1993 1994
review of how higher education in the U.S. has shifted away from the public good and toward tight
cooperation

Exploring the Theme of Love in Sonnets 57 and 58 Essay
Shakespeare s sonnets are numbered in a sequential order and adjacent sonnets often have similar
content. Throughout Shakespeare s sonnets, he covers many subjects, such as interest in the life of a
young man, his love for a young man, and his love for a dark haired woman. In sonnets 57 and 58,
Shakespeare discusses how love is like slavery in its different manifestations. The object of the
narrator s love has a dominating power over the narrator, which controls him and guides his actions.
Shakespeare shows in sonnets 57 and 58 that love can be displayed by using many different routes
such as viewing love as a controlling force, exploring the theme of time and waiting in regards to love,
and the question of the physical state of being of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In sonnet 57, line five, the narrator says I don t dare , thereby again showing his reluctance to resist the
efforts of the lover to control him and dominate him. In sonnet 58, line 9, the narrator says that the
control over him by the lover is very strong, however he doesn t seem to make any effort to resist
these temptations and exertions of power, but rather resigns to them and accepts them as part of his
life. The use of the word tame to describe himself in sonnet 58, line seven, suggests that the narrator
doesn t want to actively resist the domination by the lover but instead is resigning his will to the lover.
As the narrator lets himself be enveloped in his love for the young man, he loses a part of his own
willpower.
Time is also addressed in both of these sonnets. Both sonnets have images of the narrator waiting. In
sonnet 58, line four has the narrator awaiting the leisurely needs of the lover, and again in line 13 I am
to wait signifies the author waiting for the lover. In sonnet 57, line one the narrator says what else can
I do but wait. In line six, the narrator refers to watching the clock or waiting, and also in line eleven he
says stay which means wait. The purpose of waiting in these sonnets is to show that the narrator is
subservient to the lover and

Karen Armstrong
The book, In the Beginning, by Karen Armstrong follows the first book of the Bible, Genesis. It
unfolds some very well known stories in Genesis. Armstrong goes through each of the stories of
Genesis and interprets what each story is about and how we can relate it to our own lives. The book of
Genesis can be difficult to understand and it holds many mysteries within it, but with the help of
Karen Armstrong, we are able to understand the stories of Genesis and what they mean.
This is the story of the Bible s first book, raw and unchurched. Karen introduces us one by one to the
characters and their stories, making no effort to turn them into saints, for they are nothing like the
impossibly and depressingly flawless characters we met in Sunday School. Throughout, the authors of
Genesis remind us that we can expect no clear cut answers. We wrestle with the text, measuring its
inconsistent doctrines and contradictory lessons, as we struggle to grasp the character of God. How
can God be omnipotent, but powerless to control his creation? How can God be benevolent but a
killer; wise but arbitrary; just but partial and unfair; omniscient but ignorant of human yearning?
One of the stories that Armstrong interpreted that I enjoyed was the one of Jacob and Esau. Jacob and
Esau were twin ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Her unquestioned acceptance of the JEPD theory of Genesis, that there are two main authors of
Genesis, J and E, whose words were then clumsily merged by a later editor, bothered me a little bit. I
have never found that theory of biblical criticism to be plausible, even though it has gained wide
acceptance in liberal circles. I also don t accept the conservative notion that Moses wrote the first five
books of the Bible. There is no question in my mind from a simple reading that the stories of Genesis
were collected and put together by a later editor, who wanted to show God s transcendent work in the
flawed descendants of

Napoleon III s Impact On France And Germany
Napoleon III and Bismarck both had huge impacts on France and Germany respectively. Both men
had great diplomatic skills and strong personalities which lead to all sorts of reforms within their
nation. Both men are known for their leadership skills and for the Franco Prussian war, and even
though the war technically ended by military means, both of their diplomatic skills had major impacts
on the dynamic and outcome of the war. It is unclear to many how the war ended with a Prussian
victory; and this is an attempt to explain what led to the war, and how those factors resulted into a
Prussian victory.
Napoleon III was born on April 20th 1808 as Charles Louis Napoleon Bonaparte. His father is
Napoleon s younger brother, making him one of Napoleon s nephews. After the imprisonment of
Napoleon after Waterloo in 1815, he and his family were forced into exile by the French returning
monarchy. He was not born as the heir to the Bonaparte claim to the French throne, but the premature
death of Napoleon s only son and the death of his own older brother made him the apparent heir to
claim. He took the claim very seriously, and even attempted multiple coups to gain power, all of which
failed and sentenced to prison. His chance to power came when the last king of France was forced to

Napoleon III first made agreements with the UK promising UK that France will not attempt to annex
Belgium. This was a lie, and Napoleon sent a secret message to Bismarck indicating to him that
France will not intervene in Prussia s land grabbing , if Prussia did not intervene in France s goal to
annex Belgium and the Western parts of some the South German States. Instead of accepting these
terms, Bismarck showed this to the UK and the different southern German nations. This resulted in
hurting France s relationship with the UK, and increased the Southern German nations that the threat
was Napoleon III, not Bismarck

  • 2. Alternative Dispute Resolution Alternative Dispute Resolutions: Arbitration Clause Saundra Stewart Kaplan University LS311 01: Business Law 1 Professor James Starcher May 1, 2012 Disputes, disagreements, differing opinions, and arguments, what do they all have in common? They all involve two persons or groups that have different ideas that are in conflict with the other. When these differences arise we as a civilized society usually are able to work out some solution that may work to the benefit of both parties. This process of resolving these conflicts is called Dispute Resolution. There are three basic categories of Dispute Resolution that are often used: 1) Negotiation; 2) Mediation; And 3) Arbitration. Negotiation is the process where the two parties will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This process does not stop as we grow older. As we age our life experiences have great input on how our decision making process works and what values, beliefs, and standards that we seek to uphold. The actions that occur as a result of our thinking process can be considered Ethics. In essence, Ethics is a study of our actions that can be considered right or wrong behavior. (Miller, 2012, p. 61) Business Ethics is the study of the decisions we make in the business environment and whether or not those decisions are good or bad. Two schools of thought are primary to Ethics and how we subscribe or view them. The first school is considered Outcome based Ethics. This school of thought is also referred to as Utilitarianism. The basic premise is that the end result of the action or decision justifies the action or decision that was made or taken. Another way of putting it is that the ends justify the means. (Miller, 2012, p. 64) The second school of thought is considered Duty based Ethics. Duty Based Ethics is often based on religious percepts or philosophical reasoning. On the religious precepts, one example would be the Christian used of the 10 commandments. Christianity bases its code of conduct and behavior on these 10 rudimentary principles for living and dealing with others. The philosophical approach was put ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I found leadership behaviors within the FRLD most valuable because I have two leadership behaviors that stick out to me. One is a contingent reward; I like to reward my subordinates and peers with time off or a barbeque when they exceed the standards or goals that I have set for them. I believe that contingent rewards stimulate comradery in the work center for my subordinates and peers so they enjoy coming to work. The second leadership behavior that I believe I have is Management by Exception Passive (MBE P). Interview With A Research Coordinator Essay Analysis of an Interview with a Research Coordinator Summary This interview aims to help students understand the role of the research coordinator (RC) and what it is like for that person to bring a large scale research project from conception to completion. The interview participant has worked as a RC for many years and has a strong background in statistics. According to the participant, an essential qualification for a RC is a solid understanding of statistical concepts and analyses, and the ability to build on that knowledge and apply it to statistical computer programs. This foundational knowledge is needed because a project can involve a significant amount of analysis and coding from data. The participant s current research project is a large scale project involving the implementation of public health policy for BC and Ontario. This research is dynamic and challenging and always evolving, which requires the RC to be flexible and adaptable. For many of the team members, this project is not a primary job; therefore, it is important for the RC to find the balance between project deadlines and allowing people to have personal time. Despite being the lead for this project, the participant shares decision making with a variety of people and government agencies in both provinces, which brings various levels of bureaucratic challenges, including gaining access to data. This and other logistical constraints can make analyzing data and producing papers time consuming. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. How Does Self Awareness Affects And Impedes The Process Of... As a future counselor, it is important that we realize how much self awareness plays apart in counselor competence. Although the focus of the course is multicultural counseling, the lack of overall counselor awareness affects and impedes the process of providing appropriate therapeutic care. It is vital that you become aware of the assumptions, stereotypes, and biases you may have about clients who are different from yourself on all the dimensions included in this framework (D Andrea, 2001).When I speak of awareness, it s not just about bias, stereotypes, and difference in worldview, but in order to increase personal and professional development as a counselor, you must be aware of resources and agencies at your disposal that you can use to properly serve clients from all cultures. When I look at when I started the course I was pretty sure that I was abreast and aware of what culture is, and what it consists of, and honestly I was wrong. At this point, I have come to the realization that culture is more than where you come from and a language, but it encompasses way more than that, from your look, attitude, beliefs, values, and even how others view you. Personally, after taking the multicultural assessment, I was disappointed because throughout the assessment I was sure that my score was going to be on the higher end. After receiving my score, I questioned how much I invest and immerse myself in other cultures besides my own. I also became aware of the fact that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Especially in Minnesota, since this is our home, we should learn about how they lived and were treated before we modernized the land. In the last few weeks we have learned about 2 of the strongest, most noble American Indians know to Minnesota. I have learned that they were treated poorly, and that our government had promised them safe land to use and practice their beliefs. As we found out, our government did not uphold their promises and basically were stealing the land right out from under them. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Problems: As written in the case study, earlier the SYSCO operating regions had conducted their own HR practices without consulting the HR department. This was the big problem and could have led to negative impact on company s growth. Cooperation between operating managers and the HR department is extremely important for HR efforts to succeed. HR also known as employee advocates or company morale officers who serves all employee issues or concerns with managing organization s strategies and goals. But without the HR advocate role, there could be a risk for employer to face lawsuits and other regulatory complaints. Another problem in the SYSCO case study was the safety. Workplace safety and security has grown in importance along with disaster and recovery planning. Also, with explosive internet growth, many employees and managers uses social media such as wikis, blogs, tweets and other techniques. Though it is extremely helpful, but still the risk of social media is apparent. This could lead to many problems such as leakage of trade secrets, potential customers information and privacy of all the employees. Increase in safety issues resulted in increase of compensation claims by workers or other agencies. A high turnover rate of night shift warehouse workers was another problem faced by the SYSCO. • 8. Civilized, Sense And Sensibility, By Jane Austen Enjoyable, civilized Sense and Sensibility was the first and one of Jane Austen s novels; she wrote it in 1795, but it was not published for 16 years. It was written by a young woman who ostensibly had little experience of the world although her fiction proves she missed the little that occurred on her domestic stage and the story reflects that orientation, as a mother and her three daughters wait passively while all the interesting men in the vicinity disappear on unexplained missions to London. In a modern story, the women would have demanded explanations. What gives Sense and Sensibility its tension and mystery are that the characters rarely say what they mean. There is great gossip within the women s sphere, but with men. The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Edward leaves suddenly for London. The next man to appear is Col. Brandon, played by that indispensable Alan Rickman. He is attracted to Marianne, but before he can act, she is smitten by the dashing Willoughby (Greg Wise), who rescues her from a mishap and charms her off her feet. No sooner have these men appeared when they, too, are called away to London although not before Col. Brandon has suggested, almost by osmosis, that he knows something unspeakable about his rival Willoughby. His secret is the sort of thing that would not be a secret long in the modern age, but in Austen s time, such things were not spoken of, and Brandon might even allow Marianne to make a disastrous marriage rather than tell her what her maidenly ears should never hear. This maddening, intriguing inability to simply blurt out the truth is indispensable to 19th century fiction, and I find it enormously satisfying. Better the character who leaves us to guess at unspeakable depths than one who bores us with confessional psychobabble. The men s departure to London leaves the three daughters and their mother facing an indefinite future in their sewing circle. So, when a kindly relative proposes a visit to London, they seize upon it with desperation, and it is there that secrets are revealed and alliances are smashed or formed. • 9. Models Of Theories Of Memory Evaluate two models of theories of memory. This essay will evaluate two models of theories of memory. Memory can be defined as the persistence of learning over time via the encoding, storage, and retrieval of information. Encoding is the process of categorizing incoming information through conscious effortful processing, rehearsal, or unconscious automatic processing. The storage process involves the retention of encoded information over time. Lastly, retrieval is the process of getting information out of memory. There are various types of memory. Sensory memory is the immediate, initial recording of sensory information in the memory system. It also plays a vital role in filtering out useless information, enabling us to focus our ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Some information from the sensory store moves to the STM by paying attention to information, while some information from the STM moves to the LTM via constant rehearsal of that information. Once that piece of information is stored in the LTM, it is long lasting perhaps even for a lifetime if that certain piece of information is that strong. The difference in forgetting between the STM and LTM is that memory forgotten from the short term store is lost whereas forgotten memories in the LTM are still in the system but cannot be retrieved. The sensory, short term, and long term memory stores also differ from one another in regards to duration (how long information can be stored), capacity (how much information can be stored), and coding (in what form information can be stored). The sensory store decays rapidly, has unlimited capacity, and the information is picked up by our senses. Sensory memory includes iconic (visual), haptic (touch), and echoic (auditory) memories as well. STM lasts 15 30 seconds, is limited to 7 plus/minus 2 units, and is coded acousting. The information in STM is lost unless it is rehearsed via repetition. On the other hand, LTM can potentially last a lifetime, has unlimited capacity, and the information stored is primarily semantic but also acoustic and visual. The strengths of the multi store model include: it stimulated further research into memory processes; it has considerable evidence for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 10. The Tax Rate And Private Savings Essay Figure (7) may work as another evidence of the inability of Egyptian tax system to mobilize domestic savings, as it shows that while domestic private savings, as a percent of GDP, was fluctuating around a downward sloping trend, marginal tax rate was fluctuating around a relatively horizontal trend which indicates that marginal tax rate has no or insignificant power over stimulating domestic private savings. Figure 7.Marginal Tax Rate and Private Domestic Savings to GDP Source: Author s calculations based on data extracted from Ministry of Finance, Monthly Financial Report, different editions. To verify this conclusion, the effect of main sources of tax revenue (taxes on income, taxes on property, taxes on goods and services and tariff) on domestic savings will be examined statistically. The only source of tax revenue that has statistically significant effect on domestic savings is property tax. Tax on properties is negatively related to domestic savings with coefficient 12, see appendix (3). Accordingly, small reduction in property taxes will have magnitude increase in domestic savings. Thus, if financial markets are operating efficiently, tax cut on properties will have a considerable positive effect on the process of economic growth, especially since property taxes represent only 3.6%, in average, of total tax revenue. While domestic saving is a leakage of income that flows outside the economy; however, it can be re injected in the economy again ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 15. Organizational Theory Of Organizational Management Organizational theory studies the various variables that influence the behavior of an individual(s) working within an organization, but also, prescribes how work and workers ought to be organized and attempts to explain the actual consequences of organizational behavior (including individual actions) on work being performed and on the organization itself. (Milakovich Gordon, 2013, p.145). Of the many approaches to organizational analysis, Classical Organizational theory has been, even to this day, extremely influential by focusing on more formal concepts such as bureaucracy, rationalization and scientific management. Although, over the decades organizational management has taken on a more human relations approach to getting more productivity out of employees, it is contributors like Max Webber, Fredrick Taylor, and Luther Gulick that laid down the basic foundation organizational theories by recognizing the need for control and procedures. Weber s bureaucratic approach focuses on the importance of hierarchy by putting great emphasis on the use of rules, procedures and making impartial personnel decisions when managing. He put great emphasis on the jurisdiction, explaining that work should be divided according to type and purpose staying within the correct working unit just as the organization s rules and laws would state (Milakovich, et. al., 2013, p. 146). His purpose, more so than a guide to travel for your average citizen, was to show people that there were others in this world with thoughts and ideas and maybe those thoughts and ideas deserved some merit. Throughout his book, Mandeville is very specific about morals and values, especially Christian morals and values. In Chapter 32, he tells of the Isle of Bragman and the people who live there who are not Christians. He says In this land are no thieves, no murderers, no prostitutes, no liars, no beggars; they are men as pure in conversation and as clean living as if they were men of religion . (p. 178) Mandeville believed that God loved them because they were good people, despite the fact that they were not Christians. He tells us of Christian men: Jacobites, Saracens, Surrianes, Arians, Nubians, Indians and Georgienes who have different laws and customs, but all believe in God although their rites and beliefs may be different than your own. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) Important Reminders When Getting Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy [PART I] Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) also known as natural hormone therapy works when Bioidentical hormones act in the body just like the hormones we produce. It is primarily used to reduce the symptoms of menopause. Today, it is also used for clinical testing of blood and saliva, for anti aging purposes, and overall improving the quality of life for women who have symptoms of menopause. Bioidentical hormones have the exact molecular structure of those endogenous or natural hormones in a person s body and produce the same physiochemical responses. To me, my communities include my family, friends, schools, work, and the town I live in. My communities have had an influence on who I have become as a person and continue to influence me on a daily basis. As I reflect back on the past twenty years, the community that has had the most impact on me is my family. Now, everyone has their own definition of family. So, when I say the word family, I am referring to my mom and dad. These two people have had the most influence on my life. From the very beginning, I began to shape the person I am based on the people my parents are. I can remember spending many hours with my dad in his shop, watching him diagnose mechanical problems. Then I would watch as he took apart a machine piece by piece, only to reassemble it exactly the same way once the problem at hand was resolved. As the years progressed, I became closer with my mom, spending the majority of my time with her. I would help her around the house with everyday chores. I can remember the joy I experienced when I was able to go to work with mom. I would watch in awe at the number of tasks my mother was responsible for at one time. Cord is what I imagine a leader who is dedicated to their followers looks like. Cord is highly involved in both the Rocket Marching Band and in his fraternity, Triangle. For the Rocket Marching Band, Cord was a squad leader in the fall of 2015 and is now the Piccolo section leader. As a squad leader, Cord ensured that those around him knew the marching drill so that practice ran smoothly. He also assisted underclassmen with learning traditions about the Rocket Marching Band. Moore takes seven different sentences from five different parts of Heston s speech and splices them together to create one speech. Not to mention the infamous line from my cold, dead hands. This line was actually taken from a speech a year later when Heston was presented with a hand made musket, One of those scenes was Charles Heston holding a gun wearing a different type of tie with a different color at the rally conference. The other scene showed him not holding a gun with a different tie and a different suit . ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another Reason is he acted dumb when he went to buy a gun so that he can target the people who he was asking the questions about guns also,by asking a rhetorical question he targeted them so that when they answer he can use their answer in a negative way. Although that is a smart move on him to do that I personally don t think it s a clever move because he wasn t once again proving how the shooting of colorado had an effect on that since that s why his movie Bowling For Columbine was about. Before the movie can even get under way, Michael Moore is already lying to the audience. Michael Moore is trying to show how easy it is to get a gun. There is a bank in Northern Michigan that offers a deal where, if you start a bank account, they hand you a gun. What Michael Moore doesn t show is the fact that it takes several weeks and two background checks to get his gun. It takes at least two weeks to get the gun he wants. There is also no gun inventory from the bank as Michael Moore ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

ISS LIVE STREAM CATCHES UFO On an ISS live NASA UStream, a round like object seems to appear just above Earth s horizon. • 25. Theme Of Wait And Hope In The Count Of Monte Cristo The Count of Monte Cristo, written by Alexandre Dumas, is an adventure novel published in 1844 in France which gained worldwide popularity for its universal themes. Dumas incorporated themes of moral justice, ultimate happiness, and hope. These themes are apparent throughout this novel, where the main character Edmond Dantes, or The Count of Monte Cristo, takes justice into his own hands, and plays God to get his vengeance on those who have wronged him. In the following essay I will analyze the true meaning of wait and hope found in this novel. Edmond Dantes had an extremely successful young life, he was engaged, he was about to be captain of a ship, and he was quite popular all before the age of 20. Unfortunately, who he thought were his friends were envious of all his success. Fernand Mondego was in love with his fiance Mercedes, his cohort Danglars wanted to have the success that he had for himself, and Caderousse was jealous of him as well. Together, the trio destroyed his life by putting him in prison to steal everything good away from him. Danglars created the plot to frame Dantès for treason, Fernand mailed the letter they constructed, and Villefort sent the Count to jail only to protect his own father and himself. Dantes spent fourteen years in prison, but in this time he grew up and discovered his true values with the help of his greatest mentor and jail neighbor Abbe Faria. He became a teacher to him during their several years as prisoners, and he taught ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The chief of police has told you that a philanthropist in town is considering giving a $100,000 grant to a worthy cause in the department. The chief has charged your team with deciding how, when, and where that money will be spent. This proposal will show what the award money will be used for within our communities along with why, when and where these services are needed. It will outline the costs for these proposed changes and how to maintain these costs in the future. HOW? WHERE? Our team has been given a significant amount of money to help a police department increase their ability to do patrols within a police department area. However, when a location is being decided it is important to take a few things into factor. These factors are: location, community size, amount of crime in that area and the number of patrols already on duty on a given shift. From what I have read in the papers, the locations that are suffering the most is larger cities due to major budget cuts. The reason that these areas suffer the most is because there are more areas that need to be patrolled due to higher crime and the populations are so large that it requires a larger number of police officers to do these patrols. However, they are suffering the most because they have to cut back which means that the officers that they are allowed to keep, have to patrol more areas in less time. This leads to higher crime rates because the officers ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Introduction Intarsia is the woodworking technique that uses varied shapes, sizes and different species of wood that are fitted together to create a 3 dimensional, mosaic like picture. These species were used in luxury woodworking. Some examples were sculpture, furniture, and intarsia decorations. The word intarsia comes from the Italian word tarsia and intarsiare which means to inlay. The Inselberg Iguana s skin color is darker than the Desert Iguana. It s darker skin color help it blends in with the Inselberg s rocky terrain, escaping predators. The darker skin trait is in the Inselberg Lizards genes. The lighter Inselberg Lizards are dying off because predators can easily spot them and rarely survive to reproduce. • 30. International Awareness And Intercultural Competence Background Global awareness and intercultural competence are some of the hottest buzz words in higher education right now. With the U.S. population becoming more diverse, and our economy increasingly interlinked with economic issues globally, government, business, and society at large are looking more and more to higher education to create the human capital necessary to continue U.S. preeminence around the globe (Duncan, 2011). The method of choice in higher education for teaching these competencies is through travel as a form of exposure to the world . This educational archetype is generally termed study abroad . The majority of existing research around learning through travel centers on the undergraduate study abroad experience (Lewin, 2009; VandeBerg, Paige, Lou, 2012). This is because study abroad is generally an undergraduate phenomena, and is much rarer at the graduate level. Graduate business education, particularly within MBA programs, is an exception. The proliferation of travel programs within in MBA programs, with the goal of teaching students the skills needed to be successful working in the global marketplace, can be directly linked to close relationship between Business Schools and multinational corporations. The connection between higher education and the market place is not new, as Rhoades and Slaughter (1994) vividly described in their 1993 1994 review of how higher education in the U.S. has shifted away from the public good and toward tight cooperation ... • 31. Exploring the Theme of Love in Sonnets 57 and 58 Essay Shakespeare s sonnets are numbered in a sequential order and adjacent sonnets often have similar content. Throughout Shakespeare s sonnets, he covers many subjects, such as interest in the life of a young man, his love for a young man, and his love for a dark haired woman. In sonnets 57 and 58, Shakespeare discusses how love is like slavery in its different manifestations. The object of the narrator s love has a dominating power over the narrator, which controls him and guides his actions. Shakespeare shows in sonnets 57 and 58 that love can be displayed by using many different routes such as viewing love as a controlling force, exploring the theme of time and waiting in regards to love, and the question of the physical state of being of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In sonnet 57, line five, the narrator says I don t dare , thereby again showing his reluctance to resist the efforts of the lover to control him and dominate him. In sonnet 58, line 9, the narrator says that the control over him by the lover is very strong, however he doesn t seem to make any effort to resist these temptations and exertions of power, but rather resigns to them and accepts them as part of his life. The use of the word tame to describe himself in sonnet 58, line seven, suggests that the narrator doesn t want to actively resist the domination by the lover but instead is resigning his will to the lover. As the narrator lets himself be enveloped in his love for the young man, he loses a part of his own willpower. Time is also addressed in both of these sonnets. Both sonnets have images of the narrator waiting. In sonnet 58, line four has the narrator awaiting the leisurely needs of the lover, and again in line 13 I am to wait signifies the author waiting for the lover. In sonnet 57, line one the narrator says what else can I do but wait. In line six, the narrator refers to watching the clock or waiting, and also in line eleven he says stay which means wait. The purpose of waiting in these sonnets is to show that the narrator is subservient to the lover and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Karen Armstrong The book, In the Beginning, by Karen Armstrong follows the first book of the Bible, Genesis. It unfolds some very well known stories in Genesis. Armstrong goes through each of the stories of Genesis and interprets what each story is about and how we can relate it to our own lives. The book of Genesis can be difficult to understand and it holds many mysteries within it, but with the help of Karen Armstrong, we are able to understand the stories of Genesis and what they mean. This is the story of the Bible s first book, raw and unchurched. Karen introduces us one by one to the characters and their stories, making no effort to turn them into saints, for they are nothing like the impossibly and depressingly flawless characters we met in Sunday School. Throughout, the authors of Genesis remind us that we can expect no clear cut answers. We wrestle with the text, measuring its inconsistent doctrines and contradictory lessons, as we struggle to grasp the character of God. How can God be omnipotent, but powerless to control his creation? How can God be benevolent but a killer; wise but arbitrary; just but partial and unfair; omniscient but ignorant of human yearning? One of the stories that Armstrong interpreted that I enjoyed was the one of Jacob and Esau. Jacob and Esau were twin ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 33. Napoleon III s Impact On France And Germany Napoleon III and Bismarck both had huge impacts on France and Germany respectively. Both men had great diplomatic skills and strong personalities which lead to all sorts of reforms within their nation. Both men are known for their leadership skills and for the Franco Prussian war, and even though the war technically ended by military means, both of their diplomatic skills had major impacts on the dynamic and outcome of the war. It is unclear to many how the war ended with a Prussian victory; and this is an attempt to explain what led to the war, and how those factors resulted into a Prussian victory. Napoleon III was born on April 20th 1808 as Charles Louis Napoleon Bonaparte. His father is Napoleon s younger brother, making him one of Napoleon s nephews. After the imprisonment of Napoleon after Waterloo in 1815, he and his family were forced into exile by the French returning monarchy. He was not born as the heir to the Bonaparte claim to the French throne, but the premature death of Napoleon s only son and the death of his own older brother made him the apparent heir to claim. He took the claim very seriously, and even attempted multiple coups to gain power, all of which failed and sentenced to prison. His chance to power came when the last king of France was forced to ...
