The Struggle For Power In Tim Rice s Eva Peron
Tim Rice created Evita in 1976 but it didn t debut until 1979 on Broadway. It was based on the life of
Eva Peron, who ended up being the most famous First Lady of Argentina. In a recent interview with
Mark Shenton, Tim Rice said that he heard about Eva Peron on the radio and remember her from a
stamp he saw as a child. That moment was enough to make Rice interested in Eva Peron s life story.
This all happened in 1973 twenty one years after Eva Peron had already passed away. Along with
Andrew Lloyd Webber, they created a pop rock opera that told of her rise to fame. The play was very
successful and even was later turned into a movie directed by Alan Parker, starring Madonna as Eva
Peron in 1996. The main character of this play is Eva Peron ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

The play had both political and social themes. The one social movement in the play that appeals to the
female audience was the Women Right s Movement. Eva is displayed as a woman who takes charges
and is independent in life and love. She is the perfect example of everything the Women Right s
Movement is trying to do. The play challenged normal gender roles by showing a woman in power.
All the other First Ladies before Eva Peron didn t participate in politics. They follow their husband s
orders and donate to charity here and there. Eva Peron did take a major role in the fight for women s
right in Argentina. In 1947 she promoted the new Peronist law for women right to vote. Another theme
that related to the country current state was the political unrest. During the 1970 America was
experiencing many political issues. Between the Vietnam War, which was widely opposed, and the
Watergate Scandal, which cause Nixon to resign, the country s distrust in their government was strong.
This similar political issue was shown in the song The Lady Got Potential with armed military
removing and instated different presidential elected. There was also several scenes of riot and rally for
government change shown in the movie. This is also shown through the character Che since he is
supposed to be an everyday Argentina man. In begin of

John Wycliffe Research Paper
John Wycliffe whose name was spelled in several ways including Wyclif, Wycliff, Wiclef...etc. was a
philosopher, theologian, translator, and preacher. He study at the University of Oxford located in
England where he would later become a teacher as well. Though Wycliffe was not known to be part of
the protestant reformers, like those of, John Calvin, Martin Luther, John Wesley, Ulrich Zwingli, he
would carry a name of his own. He was/is considered to be a forerunner, one who kicked off the
reformation, so to speak. One thing (among many) that should be equated to Wycliffe s name is the
fact that he felt it necessary to translate the Bible into a common language. He would also develop
followers who would be known as Lollards. Wycliffe s family was long settled in Yorkshire and
covered a considerable amount of territory. John Wycliffe was born in a small village in Hipswel
which was located in North Riding of Yorkshire, England around 1328. It is believed by most that it
was here in his home town neighborhood where he would receive his early education. John would
further his education at the university of Oxford, and though it is not revealed when his studies began,
we do know that he remained involved with the school till his death. There were several men who
would bring added fame to the University, men such as, Roger Bacon, Robert Grosseteste, ... Show

This battle that Wycliffe began would continue till the day of his death. Not that Wycliffe was right in
all his teachings, but we that are in the true church sure can take away many lessons from Wycliffe.
He was willing to take a stand when it was only himself and a few followers willing to take his side on
the matters. He never backed down even when being brought before the leaders of the Catholic
church. So he was brave, willing, bold, made an impact, and remained faithful to his beliefs till his last

Robert Frost And Modern Poetry
Many poets have shaped the writing style of modern day poetry a bit, but few have done so much as
Robert Frost has in the ways of influencing today s poetry. A man widely renowned and respected in
America, Frost used his shockingly modern writing style to help pave a path for the poems of the
future. By analyzing this great poet, one can only hope to discover the true, raw meaning of the
written words that have had a lasting impact on the views and, more importantly, on the world of
poetry. This essay will explain how Robert Frost used his modernistic writing, his poem s
philosophical nature, and his avid albeit beautiful descriptions of life and all its whims. All of this to
break the mold of classical poetry writing, and to begin ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This poem is called The Silent Tent. The most noted and revered line in this poem is actually the first,
She is as in a field a silken tent . This signifies the fact that Frost chose to compare Kay (the woman
he fell for) to a silken tent. Frost may have chosen for the tent to be silk to express the soft beauty of
Kay; after all, silk is normally described as beautiful, soft, and smooth.
As the poem The Silken Tent goes on, the metaphors become complex and more and more are tangled
within one another. This can symbolize how, as time went on, Frost s love for Kay, as well as their
relationship, became more and more complicated. Frost uses ropes as a way to express that Kay is tied
down by her duties, but he then goes on to say that all of the cords are loosely bound . In the last line
of the poem, Frost explains that marriage is like a form of bondage. When married, a person is bound
religiously, socially, and legally. However, Frost states that it is only a slight amount of bondage,
showing that Kay s marriage wasn t constricting or strict. Lastly, by using light weather (such as sunny
summer breeze and summer air ) in this particular poem, Frost evokes a feeling of happiness,
signifying that Kay was a happy woman. Sharing this poem with the world, in its most romantic and
personal form, took courage, causing even more people to flock towards Frost and his writing. All of

Abbie Monologue
Her name is Ellie. She is seventeen years old and is very normal. She fits right into the crowd and
unnoticed. She finds it very interesting to see other people and observe their daily routines and pattern.
Some people find it strange, but it gives her an insight into the word called life. Her parents always go
around pestering her to be more open and talk to people, but it is not like they make it simple for her.
It has gotten to the point that each question asked would fly through Ellie s ear, not even bothering to
understand them. How was your day today? Why can t you just talk to us like your brothers and
sister? You don t see your siblings hide their thoughts do you? Let someone in! Three siblings are too
much to handle at times so it is not mind boggling to have one person in the family cower than stand
up tall. Elena is the oldest, Eli is the second, Ellie is third, and Elm is the youngest. They all have

invisible can be an advantage at times. The group sits in a booth that is in the middle of the café, but

Corporal Punishment Is A Form Of Physical Punishment
Corporal punishment is a form of physical punishment that inflicts pain on kids for their negative
actions such as spanking. This topic is controversial because some people feel very strongly that they
should be allowed to continue using these methods and others feel very strongly that they should not
be allowed to. I feel as if this method of punishment is inhumane and should not continue to be used.
The modernization of psychology has proved that hitting children will not help them learn that what
they did was wrong and will probably just make them angry or frustrated why they were abused. Even
if they don t do it again i think that it s just because they re scared not to, not because they actually
learned not to and once they aren t scared anymore then they may continue to commit that action. Also
if it s legal for people to do then in some cases it will be overused and the person will not be able to
get into trouble if they get caught.
Being abused can be a very traumatizing life event that can affect somebody forever, if we start
bringing it back into schools then it could really ruin some kid s lives. According to Yun Jinies, who
writes for abc news, he wrote this article to inform people about some of the dangers that come along
with corporal punishment being in schools. Yun brought up a specific incident that occurred in a
school where a principal paddled a 5 year old student. Tenika Jones says the principal at the Joyce

Short Story Sucker
Identity is who we are, even though it can be hard sometimes to find out exactly what that means. That
is why our identities can be so easily changed and shaped by different things. This is especially true
during our adolescent years, when we are vying for acceptance from others. Sometimes we are the
ones who shape who we are. This can happen when we choose to ignore outside influences who
would normally affect us. Nevertheless, most of the time we are shaped by other people. Human
beings have a never ending want to be socially accepted. We are all insecure in our own way, leaving
us prey to the influence of others. We are able to choose how we act and what we do, but even so we
end up being changed by everyone who surrounds us. Although we have the freedom to make our own
conscious decisions, ultimately the people around us shape who we are by the way they treat us. Even
though we choose how we act towards others, we are strongly influenced by the people around us and
how they behave towards us. The short story Sucker is about a teenage boy named Pete who shares a
room with his younger cousin Sucker. Pete always teases Sucker, and this only gets worse after Pete
gets a girlfriend. His girlfriend, Maybelle, becomes the root of the problems and good times between
Sucker and Pete. This quote from the exposition of the story foreshadows the relationship Pete has
with both Sucker and Maybelle. If a person admires you a lot you despise him and don t care and it is

This document will answer many questions about Botulism Toxin. Some of the questions addressed
will include; What exactly is botulism? What is the germ Clostridium botulinum? How frequent does
botulism occur? What are the symptoms of botulism? How do we diagnose botulism? How do we
treat botulism? What are complications from botulism? How does one prevent botulism? What are
public health agencies doing to prevent and control botulism? I will also discuss other uses of

All of the above mentioned forms of botulism can be fatal and should be considered a medical
emergency. Foodborne botulism is a public health emergency because many people can be
contaminated. What kind of germ is Clostridium botulinum? Clostridium botulinum is an anaerobic,
Gram positive, spore forming rod that produces a potent neurotoxin. (U.S. Food and Drug
Administration, 2015) This germ can be found in soil, is rod shaped, it also thrives in a low oxygen
environment. This germ creates spores that lay dormant until they come into conditions that foster
their growth and support. There are seven categories of botulinum toxin. Letters specify those types.
Those categories are A, B, C, D, E, F. Categories A, B, E, and F are the only types that cause illness in
humans. What is the frequency of Botulinum Toxin? The incidence of the disease is low, but the
mortality rate is high if not treated immediately and properly. (U.S. Food and Drug Administration,
2015) The United States has averaged one hundred forty five reported cases of Botulism a year.
Fifteen percent of those being foodborne, sixty five percent being infant Botulism, and twenty percent
being wound Botulism. (CDC, 2015) The frequency of the disease is low, but the mortality rate is high
if not treated immediately and properly. Some cases of botulism may be undiagnosed or misdiagnosed
because the symptoms are transient or mild, and mimic Guillain Barre syndrome. Symptoms of

Analysis On Cradle And Michael Braungart
In Cradle to Cradle by William McDonough and Michael Braungart, the two authors take into great
detail by explaining the cradle to grave manufacturing system. The system explains every step of a
product s life from the creation to the disposal of the product. It is important to learn about this system
because in order for a company to track and take responsibility of their hazardous waste . The system
itself explained where products are created and the mass production goes into this system without
enough consideration to human health and the environment. McDonough and Braungart promote for a
new framework where companies take into consideration on every step of a product s lifestyle. In the
authors observations that human industry should co exist with nature by designing products that are in
a way non toxic, biodegradable, or recyclable without loss of material quality. With this in mind, a
common type of consumer product such as a plastic bottle that could be redesigned to be healthier for
humans, environmental friendly, and create less pollution towards our planet. The two ways that
plastic bottles can become more intelligently designed is by changing how plastic bottles are
manufactured in these industries and removing chemical ingredients that are harmful to human and
environmental health.
Before I get into explaining about the system, cradle to cradle I would like to give some history of
how plastic bottles came to be:

The Most Violent Conflicts In Human History
In 1914 all of Europe entered into what they thought would be the war to end all wars: World War I
(1914 1918). However, twenty one years after the conflict ender, Europe plunged into total war once
again. World War II occurred from 1939 1945 and estimated deaths ranged from 50 80 million. Some
historians believe that the years from 1914 1945 might most accurately be labeled a modern Thirty
Years War, since the problems unleashed in August 1914 were only really resolved in the 1950s.
World War I and II, two of the most violent conflicts in human history, occurred within twenty years

How To Write A Reflective Practitioner Essay
Teaching Statement
When I think about teaching I think about my coaching philosophy, which has developed from 15
years of experience. A coach has tremendous influence on the physical and psychological
development of their athletes young and old. The primary responsibility of the coach is to enable their
athlete to attain levels of performance not otherwise achievable: therefore, coaches need to develop
skills to motivate athletes and establish the right conditions for learning. Being an effective coach is
more than understanding the technical knowledge of sport, but also knowing how to build trusting
kinesthetic relationships.
My role as a coach is to connect with, engage, excite, and empower athletes, regardless of their
athletic ability, and I try to embody this in my teaching. Through past experiences teaching diverse
students in Physical Education and Recreation at the University of Alberta in Canada, I have

learning by doing and developing the ability for continued learning and problem solving throughout
the professional s career. This approach not only aims to prepare students to handle the complex and
unpredictable problems of actual practice with confidence, skill and care, but also directly challenges
technical rationality , a positivist epistemology of practice. This approach obviously fits with teaching
critical, feminist, and post colonial theories. My primary aim was to engage students in thoughtful

What Is The Significance Of The Emancipation Proclamation
The occurrence of the famous Emancipation Proclamation proved to be a very significant moment of
truth. History was made during the American Civil War on January 1st, 1863, when President
Abraham Lincoln declared the slaves to be free from being owned by another person, although the
proclamation didn t completely end slavery. Many may know the famous Emancipation Proclamation
as what set the slaves free, but it s so much more than that. It s a presidential proclamation, that
focused on everything that even had to do with rebellion and uprising, along with the executive branch
of the U.S. including the the militia and Navy. The Emancipation Proclamation is so much greater

Issuing the Emancipation Proclamation was a long and complicated process that it was issued more
than once. On September 22, 1862 Lincoln issued a preliminary Emancipation Proclamation,
declaring that as of January 1st, 1863, all slaves in the rebellious states shall be then, thenceforward,
and forever free. Despite that the Emancipation Proclamation did not free any slave, it was still an eye
opening and crucial part of history. It changed the focal point of the Civil War, and gave the people an
aspiration and motive to get up everyday. It also changed the entire purpose of the Civil War to save
the nation and transform the motive from preserving the Union into standing up for human rights and
freedom. Overall, the Emancipation Proclamation ultimately changed the morals and the message of
the purpose behind the Civil War.
Lincoln believed that slavery was an unqualified evil to the negro, the white man, and the State,
although during his first inaugural address, Lincoln claimed that he had no purpose, directly or
indirectly, to interfere with slavery in the States where it exists. Although many may ask why
President Lincoln? Was Lincoln really trying to set the slaves free for the sake of the people? Or was
he after something greater? , Lincoln was very opposed to slavery. He is also the Father of Freedom
and believed that the abolishment of slavery is long

Allelic Variation in BRCA Genes Could Be the Key to Understanding Familial Breast Cancer
Introduction
Breast cancer is an uncontrollable division of cells within the breast tissue that affects about 12% of
women in their lifetime. Cancer can be caused by sporadic mutations influenced by environment or by
genetic disposition. Several genes play a role in cell division: Oncogenes are responsible for directing
mitosis, and tumor suppression genes prevent the expression of genes involved in cell division.
Mutations that occur in either gene can lead to carcinogenic tumor growth and immortal cell lines.
BRCA1 and BRCA2 are tumor suppression genes known as caretakers that are responsible for
maintaining the cell genome during cell ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A quantitative allelic imbalance assay was developed to determine differences in gene expression from
individual BRCA1/2 alleles. Allele specific assays quantify gene expression specific to the allele
being tested. For the BRCA1 gene, two individuals homozygous for the BRCA1 c.4308T/T or
BRCA1 c.4308C/C polymorphism were tested. Complementary DNA (cDNA) was created from
reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR) using RNAs extracted from blood
lymphocytes. RT PCR uses reverse transcriptase to form an RNA/cDNA heteroduplex that is then
amplified by normal polymerase chain reaction techniques to produce a large quantity of cDNA.
Ratios of the cDNA from the two alleles were mixed for use in real time PCR (qPCR). qPCR uses
fluorescent probes that anneal to the cDNA during PCR. These probes contain a reporter and a
quencher; the reporter fluoresces when separated from the quencher, allowing a computer to measure
the number of cycles needed for the fluorescence to exceed background levels (cycle threshold or CT).
Using the ratios of cDNAs and ∆CT, a linear regression was computed to form an allelic expression
standard curve that can be used to evaluate allelic imbalance. These same methods were repeated with
BRCA2 with two individuals homozygous for the BRCA2 c.3396A/A or BRCA2 c.3396G/G allele.
The allelic imbalance assay developed was now used with specific single nucleotide polymorphisms
in BRCA1

A Comparison of American and Indian cultural Marriage Practices
American Marriage Practices
There are various customs and traditions for marriage in United States based on varying factors such
as culture, social norms, and religion. There are no unique practices because most of practices are
derived from other cultures. The marriage practices and customs revolve around wedding attire, before
wedding, wedding ceremony, reception, and after wedding. White bridal dresses are worn with a veil
in weddings. However, those not wedding for the first time can choose any color of bridal dresses
apart from white. Before a wedding, most have bridal showers where the bride receives gifts from the
guests. Preparation takes considerable time to plan a wedding. In a wedding, groomsmen and
bridesmaids are included (Lilian, 2013). The bride s father walks the bride down the aisle to indicate
approval of the groom. The typical 21st century wedding can now feature a supporting cast of
stepparents, half siblings, Dad s new girlfriend and her kids, the bride s first stepfather and his new

Things to Consider when Starting and Running a Business
There are many things to consider when starting and running a business. You must decide what type of
business you would like to operate, including the different business structures, legal forms and permits
that must be obtained, zoning laws, tax laws, and the liability you may expose yourself to. If you have
a business with employees, you may need to decide if you want to hire non union or union members.
You will also need to research the many banking and financial institutions as you want to make sure
your money is well protected. The different types of business structures include sole proprietorships,
partnerships, and corporations. These business structures also offer different options within
themselves. A business that is owned and managed by a single individual is a sole proprietorship.
There are three categories of a partnership general partnerships, limited partnerships, and limited

Anger In The Manciple s Tale By Geoffrey Chaucer
History has a way of repeating itself. Mistakes made by earlier civilizations are re made in modern
day. It is true that people learn from their mistakes, but it is what they are ignorant of that gets
repeated. If people knew something was morally wrong, they would avoid doing it. If they were raised
to believe it was right, they would still do it, thinking they are doing right. Not only bad things have a
reincarnation in the future, but good things as well. Even a manner of which a society of the past acts
can be mirrored in the modern world. Authors have studied these occurrences and applied them in
their works. One such author is Geoffrey Chaucer who, in his work, The Canterbury Tales, has
provided tales such as The Parson s Tale , The ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first of the two characters in the tale is Constance, the religious one. It is said that she is the mirror
of all courtesy,/Her heart a chamber of true holiness,/ Her hand a ministration of largess (Chaucer, The
Man of Law s Tale , line 166 168). She is the model of a virtuous being. She has absolute trust in God,
and she teaches other to do the same. She practices being loyal to the law as well as her faith. She is
exemplified as a materially poor person but spiritually rich. She can resist temptation because she
looks forward to a better life in Heaven. Through hard times and good times, she remains always
faithful to God, and God always protects her. She can most accurately be related to a modern day
monk. They have no money, for they have taken a vow of poverty, but they remain spiritually rich.
Being spiritually rich means they leave behind family, possessions, and worldly position, and even the
outer marks of personal identity, symbolized by hair, beard, and wardrobe (Bhikkhu Bodhi). They
trust in God, and are strong followers of their faith, like Constance. Since The monastic lifestyle
places the monk in dependence on the generosity and kindness of others , when there is no one around
to provide the monk with generosity, their only option is to trust in God. They still follow the official
laws, but

Why Girls Are Dumb
Why Girls Are Dumb Girls are dumb for a million reasons. What causes girls to become selfish, fake,
annoying bitches? Well, the world may never know. Why are girls so different from boys? They are
not that different are They? Girls are dumb because instead of confronting people to their face, girls
hide behind anything they can. Girls are also dumb because they choose to see the bad in everyone
instead of the good and they also have a habit of being afraid to admit when we are wrong. They make
bullies out of themselves, sometimes not knowing it. Girls always tend to hide behind anything they
can so they do not have to actually go and talk about their problems to another girl face to face.
Talking to girls face to face is a whole lot better than messaging them via text, email, snapchat,
facebook messenger, or even calling them. Nothing is the same as face to face because when you are
with a person face to face you can see their reaction, their facial expressions, and tears. Straying away
from the main point, but, why are girls so scared of those reactions? That is what makes us human.
Having emotions is what makes us who we are. Who would we be without emotions? We would not
be human. God created us with emotions with emotions for a reason. Back on track, girls that do not
confront people face to face are scared and insecure of them own selves, so they try to make others
insecure about themselves by talking crap about other people but being too scared to talk to them face
to face. Sometimes, girls think they are doing the right thing by confronting someone through via
phone texting or calling, because confronting them through phone is better than not confronting them
at all, but in reality, it does not help anything at all. Confronting them through phone is almost as bad
as not confronting anyone at all. Facetime is still not the same as face to face. Another reasons why
girls are so dumb is because they choose to see the bad in everyone instead of the good. Yes, people
make bad decisions sometimes, sometimes they do things they regret, and, again, it is what makes us
human. Nobody became who they are today without making any mistakes. Mistakes can mold people
into a better, smarter and wiser person if

Intradiegetic Narrator Analysis
The intradiegetic narrator is defined as a narrator who exists within the storyworld of a particular text
and transmits a story that is framed by the extradiegetic narrative level and is mainly used to present
the view from a character from an outside narrative voice, which gives a sense of trustworthiness as it
is not so subjective as an first person narrator. The characteristics of this narrator include distance
from the story told and in most of the novel, the narrative voice is intradiegetic through the eyes of the
character of Anna who endures a harsh life as twenty year old worker who takes care of her family by
herself. In her perspective the reader feels empathy from the start of the novel when her background is
known , feeling which ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The choice of Anna s perspective to be the main narrator throughout the novel, causes the reader to
feel sympathy for her. As winter advances, Anna has more challenges to face, which are not as
collective, descriptions change to be more focussed on her feelings. It burns Anna s face as she makes
her way onward, back bent, dragging the heavy sledge , here how the narrative voice is focussed on
Anna facing the winter on her own is clearly shown. The words used highlight the effort Anna is
facing as the phrase; back bent has a negative connotation as it suggest her body is facing downwards
and dragging causes the audience to realise the physical pain she is suffering. The use of burns is
contrasting the cold she is feeling, which is hyperbolized as it an excess of low temperature causes her
face to feel burned. On the quotation the narrator gives visual, tactile and kinetic images in order to
transmit the reader how the low temperatures and the hard effort were felt in most of the character
senses, causing a realistic description of the suffering. Moreover, the function of the intradiegetic
narrator in this case is to give a face and a name to the victims of the event taking place on Leningrad
for the reader to feel a direct connection with the

Track-Personal Narrative
I was thinking if I should go straight or turn right onto the track when I was leaving school one
miserable day. I had made my decision to go right because I would get less wet. So I walked home on
the long deserted track when I saw Barry Bagsley and his little puppets Doug and Danny playing catch
with a little Moorefield primary boy. I kept walking down the track thinking that I could just avoid
them by running fast through them. As I got closer I realised that they were grabbing the contents of
within his bag and throwing it everywhere. I felt like I had to help out the little guy but at the same
time it felt so wrong to go down and come into contact with my foe.
My mind was telling me to avoid them but some little inkling in me told me to help him out. I

Marginalization Of Women Analysis
Sometimes, I feel discriminated against, but it does not make me angry. It merely astonishes me. How
can any deny themselves the pleasure of my company? It s beyond me. Zora Neale Hurston
The discourse of investigation into marginalization that involves ethnicity, displacement and gender
began in 1980 and 1990. Marginalization of women, struggles of lower castes and economically
backward communities haunted the nation even after decolonization. Therefore we can say
postcolonial works are the documentary commentaries on poverty, caste, gender discrimination and
oppression. Marginalization of women comprising suffering of different sections found its way into
the literary discourse through the Fourth World .

The Benefits Of A Single Stage To Orbit
A Single Stage to Orbit (SSTO) spaceplane would have many advantages over current methods of
getting people and equipment into space. Chief among these is major cost reduction. SSTOs would be
fully reusable, being that they are meant to send people to space and bring them back. A fully reusable
single stage space plane would have an advantage over a fully reusable rocket booster, similar to what
was used on the shuttle, and what is being used as the first stage on SpaceX s Falcon 9. In fact, the
Falcon 9 has already started to pay off to SpaceX. According to an article from SpaceNews.com, the
President of SpaceX, Gwynne Shotwell, reported that a rocket launched in March which had a reused
first stage was substantially less than half ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There is a challenge for TSTOs to overcome: air friction being directed on the vehicle from its booster,
while separating. The paper Aeroheating Characteristics for a Two Stage To Orbit Concept During
Separation at Mach 6 , investigates the issue. This study looked into the aeroheating on two crafts
when separating so one can make it into space, while the other, the first stage, returns to land. The
study found that in the small scale test conducted that there were not much negative effects of heating
from friction on one craft to the other. This would appear to be a positive development for the TSTO
community as it is possible to get a craft into space by attaching it to another.
As is seen in Investigation of Two Stage to Orbit Airbreathing Launch Vehicle Configurations , there
are many possible configurations for a TSTO. The kind this paper explored most was the booster craft
had the orbiter attacked on top of it, similar to how NASA transported the Shuttles on top of a
modified 747. Aeroheating Characteristics for a Two Stage To Orbit Concept During Separation at
Mach 6 shows the characteristics of aeroheating during the separation of the top bottom configuration.
The paper showed that it is possible for the top bottom configuration, and that the aerodynamic forces
from the two vehicles won t negatively affect each other.

Health And Wellness Is Sleep Disorders
The topic that comes to mind when I think about health and wellness is sleep disorders. This is
because my mom struggled with a sleep disorder called narcolepsy for some time. The matter that I
would specify as my research problem is: How living with narcolepsy affects quality of life . This is a
precise subject that outlines an area of interest to me that I would like to learn more about. My original
idea was sleep disorders, and I narrowed it down to a specific disorder. After that, I made it even more
precise by pinpointing a specific idea in regards to this topic.
I would begin searching for sources for this research topic on the Herzing University website in the
library section. This library has several reliable databases that can be used to search for foundations of
information. Several of these databases include health , medical , or wellness right in the title. It would
be wise to use these databases to search for information about this specific topic rather than a more
general database because the more precise databases will usually give more accurate results. It is
important to remember what make a source great, and what makes a source not reliable at all.

Essay on A Taste of Honey by Shelagh Delaney
In writing A Taste of Honey, what impact did Shelagh Delaney hope to have upon her audience? What
techniques did she use to achieve these aims? Shelagh Delaney wrote A Taste of Honey in 1958 when
she was only 18.
A Taste of Honey is a story about the relationship between a girl and her mother. The mother, Helen,
who is a semi whore, leaves her daughter, Jo, to get married to Peter. Jo has a relationship with a sailor
and gets pregnant. The sailor then leaves for duty. Jo meets
Geoff, they become friends and Geoff offers to help Jo bring up the baby. Helen returns after splitting
up with Peter and wants Jo back.

people. Her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This was not how the working classes lived and Shelagh
Delaney outlined this very clearly in A Taste of Honey .
Although the characters live in a world where they are treated differently because of their class, race
and sexuality, they still enjoy life. Shelagh Delaney represents this and puts forward ideas without
prejudice.
From this play we can see that Shelagh Delaney wanted to change theatrical productions to represent
the working classes rather than the upper classes. In many previous productions the working classes
had been represented as gloomy and bad tempered. She was not afraid to try new ideas, bringing a
completely new angle to theatrical productions. The audience were now seeing plays about real people
living in a real world, not ideal families living in perfect situations. The audience would have been
shocked by the reality factor of this play.
Presenting the working classes in a play had been a problem to many previous playwrights. They had
wanted to include them in their plays but had wanted to miss out the reality factor. Shelagh Delaney
was not frightened to show this side of life and has overcome the problem by showing the working
classes as they really are. She achieves this by presenting the characters as down to earth and creates
an environment which is basic and slightly crude.

Psychoanalytic Techniques In Tim Burton s Films
Tim Burton Stylistic Essay
Tim Burton is a director that uses an excellent assortment of stylistic techniques. Many authors and
directors use a pattern of style traits, however, Tim Burton s traits are probably the most noticeable
when watching his movies compared to other movies made by different directors. Tim Burton is the
man who made the movies Edward Scissorhands, Vincent, Alice In Wonderland, and The Nightmare
Before Christmas, all movies that depict a dark and eerie tone. Tim Burton repeatedly uses the stylistic
techniques that connect the movies and make a dark, gentle horror and child like tone, such as

Description And Overview Of Trauma Specific Intervention
Description and Overview of Trauma Specific Intervention Internal Family Systems (IFS) was
developed by Dr. Richard Schwartz PhD. from feedback he gathered from clients. Through his work
as a family therapist Schwartz had received training in systems thinking and family therapy theory. Dr
Schwartz believed he was truly able to listen to the individuals in his care once he set aside his
preconceived ideas of therapy and the human mind. Clients would describe various experiences which
Dr. Schwartz believed were seen as different parts of their inner self. Dr. Schwartz noticed how a

Major Treatment Components The use of IFS treatment is generally used when clients have been
determined through assessment to have experienced severe traumatic event. In the IFS system, the
centre of this diverse collection of parts is the Self, which we may experience as a core self or true self
(Johnston, 2001). In the IFS model, the parts fall into three categories: Managers, Exiles and
Firefighters. It should be noted some therapist call the firefighters, protectors. The self works within
the primary types of parts called the firefighters and the exiles. The Manager parts are found in typical
roles ones we view as our inner critic, pleaser, organizer, judge, our intellectual self. Our Managers
work hard anticipating what others want from us and they feel anxious when criticized, rejected or
abandoned. They like to keep us in line and in top form with their ambitions, goals, and lists
(Johnston, 2001). The firefighters are the parts you usually encounter first in exploring yourself. Their
job is to handle the world and protect against the pain of the exiles. (Earley, 2016). Exiles take on pain
and burdens from what they experienced as children (or occasionally at other times). Locked away,
hidden deep in the psyche, the younger parts are often barely detectable. Acting like Exiles, they are
locked away in an earlier time, still feeling the same hurt. We may view theses Exiles as in some sort
of time warp unable to understand other parts

Universal Design Model
When teaching students with diverse needs depending on the student s disabilities the individual
student will need different accommodations or modifications to access the curriculum. Throughout a

think that one helpful way to help all students with or without diverse needs access the curriculum can
be done through the concept of Universal Design for Planning. According to Kristen Lee Howard

My Personal Statement On Computer Science
Engineers are problem solvers, and are driven by a curious mind and the instinct to know the How and

trait that I can rest most of my future education too. I am keen to learn more in the field of Computer
Science to further my career once I am geared with an extensive and wholesome knowledge base.
After nearly 4 years working in this field, I have realized just how vast and pervasive its scope is,
something I find exhilarating and motivating in light of the fact that I didn t focus on Computer
Science in my undergraduate career. I hope to learn more about the practical applications in this field
to give me a sustained edge in my career. I was a very committed chess player through school and till

world. I participated in multiple tournaments when I was in high school. It has come to my rescue

It is easy for a study to be compromised by using a convenience sampling or by only sampling those
who were disappointed with a company or product unintentionally or purposely like in the case of

just a store or two in each state? Based on the map that showed where the lawsuits were filed, at the
time the video, in 31 states but not in New Jersey, and not in all 50 states which I found interesting.
Another factor that could play a role in the composition of those interviewed is how many people they
interviewed and whether they only interviewed those with negative feelings toward Walmart. If they
only interviewed people who were upset with Walmart the results would be expected to be as they
were, but if they interviewed ten or fifteen random people and got the same response, it would have a
better chance at being accurate and not biased. Lastly when the people felt like they were being
discriminated against, were there people of different ethnicities, males and females that thought they
were being discriminated against other than those shown in the video clip? This also depends on
whether they interviewed only people with a

East West Values and the Mother daughter Relationship in The Joy Luck Club
The dominant theme of The Joy Luck Club is the clash between Chinese, American cultures, and how
it affects the relationship between mothers and daughters. All of the mothers in the book were born

differences in family traditions and values between the way the mothers had been raised in China and
the way their daughters were growing up in America, there was bound to be a clash between the two

Essay on The Marxist Ideal Cannot Work
The Marxist ideal, a highly appealing, almost Utopian
society, is impossible to achieve due to the fact that it
demands that the human mind be almost without flaws. It
asks of society and its members to be absolutely without
ranks, without greed or leadership. This has been clearly
impossible for society. Each step to achieving a communist
establishment has been, continues to be, and will be, in
actuality, a step towards the totalitarian societies of past
and current so called communist countries. Communism
became popular solely in under developed countries,

With the formation of this
Communist government began the downfall of Marx s
Ideal. Lenin had established a so called Marxist
government, but he felt that Russia was not yet ready for
the Marxist idea of Communism. He believed that the
country first had to be industrialized. That had been one of
Marx s stipulations. Secondly, Lenin felt that the new ruling
class, the proletariat, was not yet ready for ruling, so he
took up the position. That is where the chief problem lies,
in the implementation of the Marxist Ideal. From the very
beginning, even prior to the foretold revolution, the ideal is
fitted to the leaders viewpoints, which is completely
opposite to what Marx had envisioned. The problem with
capitalism, as Marx saw it, was that leaders were taking the
lives and futures of others in their hands and using them to
their advantage and this was forever escalating. As Leninist
Russia progressed, Lenin guaranteed that people did not
gain too much freedom and implemented such forces as the
secret police and one party rule. Thus, through initial
adaptations of the system as envisioned by its creator, the
distortion of the ideal is present even in its beginnings.
Following the first step towards communism is the
revolution that Marx predicted would ultimately occur.
However, through a revolution, especially a violent one that
Marx deemed would

How Does Mrs. Hubbards Change Throughout The Murder On The...
In the novel, Murder on the Orient Express by Agatha Christie, the character Mrs. Hubbard shows
change in personality throughout the storyline. In the beginning of the novel, Mrs. Hubbard showed
herself as an innocent lady, who was frightened and afraid. Mrs. Hubbard had exclaimed to detective
Hercule Poirot, There was a murderer in the train last night, and the murderer was right there in my
compartment! (Christie 113) This proved that there was no possible way she could have murdered
Ratchett, if the murderer was in her room. M. Poirot had asked a question having to with the
Armstrong family because the victim of his current case was the murderer of many of the Armstrong
family. Were you acquainted with any of the Armstrong family, Mrs.

Soft Skills Research Paper
Soft skills are personnel attributes to how people connect with each other, the world around us and
build relationships. Eight key components of soft skills I believe to play an essential role in my
teaching career are creativity, problem solving, critical thinking, leadership, communication,
collaboration, and flexibility . Obtaining these skills will strengthen and enhance my ability to perform
exceptionally well and be able to contribute and challenge the minds of my students. Surprisingly
enough, more than one of these soft skills can be combined with or another when applying it to you as
a teacher.
Creativity is one component that will enhance my ability to become outstanding teacher. Creating an
atmosphere that is warm and welcoming as well as challenging can broaden the students ability to

Working as a teacher, I must be able to analyze, evaluate and interpret new incoming information in
order to be able to execute the task that associate with the proper guidelines of teaching. I must be able
to understand and interpret the common core standards as well as the additional information that is
provided by the coaches, staff and during professional developments. Furthermore, critical thinking
also plays an important factor in problem solving. During problem solving, I must identify the
situation and devise a plan to solve the problem. In creating a plan, the teacher would generate
alternate interventions, evaluate the best solution, implement a plan, and assess the effectiveness of the
interventions. The steps provided all falls under the umbrella of critical thinking. As a teacher, I might

tester may have inside knowledge of program and code with errors may be overlooked; Grey Box: test

Institute (2002), it is highly suggested that an outside company be contracted to perform the test so
more accurate results can be attained. Not being affiliated with the company, the hired team can
imitate a more realistic approach an individual might take to gain access or information. When it
comes to the selection of tools to use in a pentest there is the choice between automated and manual
tests. In an online article written by Fergal Glynn, he explains that penetration testing tools are used as
part of a pentest to automate certain tasks, improve testing efficiency, and discover issues that might
be difficult to find using manual techniques. There are two common penetration testing tools: static
analysis tools and dynamic analysis tools. Static programs analyzes software without actually
executing programs, such as performing analysis on the source or object code. Dynamic programs
analyze software by executing programs, such as analyzing what

A Report On Phr ( Personal Health Record )
INTRODUCTION: I am going to prepare a report on PHR (personal health record), What are its

information in a safe and secure environment. This stands in opposite to the more likely used e
medical record and data is operated by hospitals and contains data entered by physician or billing data

Androgynous Man
The Androgynous Man
At a point in Noel Perrin s life, he suddenly became conflicted over his masculinity. It was such a
breakthrough, that he had to analyze the whole situation. Although it took some years to finally grasp
the concept of it, Perrin is now comfortable and understands the logic behind the typical gender roles;
not from research and other people s work, but from his own experience and his own ideas. At an age
where you would generally start to develop from a boy to a man, age sixteen, Noel Perrin found
himself on a three day trip from New York to Steamboat Springs, Colorado to become an assistant
horse wrangler. On this trip with him, Perrin brought Gone with the Wind and a handful of magazines
that obtained some ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Mostly they re terrified of finding that there may be something wrong with them deep down, some
weakness at the heart. To avoid discovering that, they spend their lives acting out the role that the he
man naturally lives. Sad. (Perrin, Page 247 248) I completely disagree with that. Perrin makes it sound
like it s such a burden to be envious or jealous of those manly qualities. I think it s human nature to do
that and there is nothing wrong with acting out that way. No man is going to say I want to be that guy ,
instead they re saying I want to be LIKE that guy , combining the qualities you have already with the
ones that you don t have. I believe if you re not constantly searching to be better in life or have better
qualities, whether they re manlier or not, what s the point of existing in life? It s human nature to try to
be better in one way or another. For example, if there s an update for your iphone, are you not going to
take it? No, because that update is going to make it better. Same rules apply to human life.
Another issue I have with another one of Perrin s opinions is he also believes that ...they [imitators]
aren t as free as us androgynes (Perrin, Page 247). Perrin doesn t really back up his opinion here, as he
also states that his Answer is mere speculation, but not casual (Perrin, Page 247). Well, if you can t
back this up, don t state it. I m not going to sit here and tell you that Ford is better than Chevrolet and

Consequences Of Mao Zedong
Under Mao Zedong, China experienced profound social and economic changes. Industry increased,
prostitution and opium use was reduced, and many experienced an increase in social standing as land
was redistributed to the peasants, prior to collectivization. But many of the policies that were enacted
had negative, even disastrous consequences, which were never properly apologized for or rectified. In
1981, 5 years after Mao s death, the Chinese Communist Party stated that Mao was essentially 70%
good and 30% bad. But Mao s disconnect from the actualities of his policies, paranoia towards his
status in the Party and his public image, and lack of foresight in regards to the consequences of his
decisions had extreme ramifications on China that not only led to the death of millions, but
fundamentally undermined legitimacy of the government. Through the specific policies of the
Hundred Flowers campaign, the Great Leap Forward, and the Cultural Revolution, Mao s lack of
understanding of his actions, and his poor treatment of those who criticized him are very apparent.
And while not all of Mao s policies and actions were disastrous, his errors outweighed his merits. In
actuality, Mao s actions were more likely 80% bad and 20% good.
Mao implemented many policies during his time in power, yet when faced with the unforeseen
consequences, Mao made decisions that not only contradicted his prior statements, had unforeseen
consequences. One example is the Hundred Flowers campaign. In 1957,

Persuasive Essay On Operations Production
Soon Robot workers could take control of the production side of a workplace. Today, I will be talking
to James Hackett, who is the CEO of Ford, as well as Brendan, a union representative that will be
arguing to keep the workers ford has now. We will discuss about the future of Ford s production. I
want to persuade him to move to a fully automated production process that will result in many benefits
for the company. Ford motors should move to fully automated manufacturing plants, because it will
save the company multitudes of money, the robots would be much more efficient in production, and
the cost of ford products would decrease. By moving to a fully automated production method, ford
will be able to save themselves a plethora of money. Ford will no longer have to pay factory workers,
saving the company endless amounts money. Ford has multitudes of factories workers all making a
certain salary or hourly wage, and every penny of this expense will be eliminated. Although they will
have to spend initial amounts of money on the robots themselves, the money they will save in the long
run will be well worth the initial investment. The robot s production possibilities are exponentially
better than a human worker. These robots can work endless hours and produce things much faster than
humans. According to one website, They (robot workers) can produce a greater quantity in a short
amount of time (Robot Works). This fact proves the higher possibility of production and faster rate

The Function Of Mate Guarding Of The Field Crickets
The function of mate guarding in the field crickets, Gryllus bimaculatus
Abstract:
In insect species with indirect sperm transfer, sperm is packed in a spermatophore that is either
externally attached to the female s genital opening or introduced into her bursa copulatrix. Sperm
transfer is not immediate in these species, and consequently mate guarding has been suggested to
function as a mechanism of guarding sperm until it is released from the spermatophore into the female
(i.e. spermatophore guarding). Spermatophore guarding is relatively common in insect species with
external spermatophores (e.g. Orthoptera; Alcock 1994; Simmons 2001), but supposedly absent in
species with internal spermatophores and rapid sperm release (Simmons 2001). This study focuses on
two hypothesis associated with mate guarding a tactic of many species that adjust their reproductive
behaviour according to the apparent risk of sperm competition. The phenomenon of mate guard to
consider sperm competition levels and evolution of internal spermatophore guard is wide spread in
insects and other animals. We analyse two hypothesis one the rival exclusion followed by the next
spermatophore renewal hypothesis. Results showed that as rival was introduced to the arena of mating
of the distinctive original male (guard) in many cases showed a strong aggressive behaviour regardless
of whether successively avert the rival. In the second hypothesis certainly majority of the incidents
showed an attempt of

How Did Mitchell Cause The Riot Of 1932
Mitchell continued his report by describing the character of the men who arrived in the city, many of
whom had no record of ever being in the military, while others did not serve during World War I.
According to Mitchell during the two month siege a total 362 men were arrested. Of the 362 men, 341
of them were arrested prior to the riot. The police were unable to fingerprint all of the men. However,
Mitchell reported of the 51 men had been finger printed one third of them did not serve during the
World War. Of the additional personal information obtained prior to June 12, 1932, one fourth or 877
of the 3,656 men who signed the muster rolls had no military service record. However, Mitchell
reported that a number of the marchers had criminal records. Some of their offences included sexual

Hurley to intervene. Hurley not Hoover ordered General Douglas MacArthur get control of the
situation and bring an end the rioting. On September 28, 1932 General MacArthur issued a statement
about the riot on July 28, 1932. MacArthur did not mention the extreme use of military force he
employed to put down the riot. He did not discuss the use of tear gas on marchers and their women
and children, nor did he mention setting fire to their shanties. However, he did state it is my opinion
that had the President not acted today, had he permitted things to go for 24 more hours, he would have
been faced with a grave situation...I believe that the institutions of our Government would have been
very severely threatened. The fact that no one was seriously injured and no real bloodshed occurred
during the military action is amazing. The Anacostia Flats encampment was set ablaze, the other
encampment had been vacated, and the so called bonus marchers had been forced out of the city by

  • 2. The Struggle For Power In Tim Rice s Eva Peron Tim Rice created Evita in 1976 but it didn t debut until 1979 on Broadway. It was based on the life of Eva Peron, who ended up being the most famous First Lady of Argentina. In a recent interview with Mark Shenton, Tim Rice said that he heard about Eva Peron on the radio and remember her from a stamp he saw as a child. That moment was enough to make Rice interested in Eva Peron s life story. This all happened in 1973 twenty one years after Eva Peron had already passed away. Along with Andrew Lloyd Webber, they created a pop rock opera that told of her rise to fame. The play was very successful and even was later turned into a movie directed by Alan Parker, starring Madonna as Eva Peron in 1996. The main character of this play is Eva Peron ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The play had both political and social themes. The one social movement in the play that appeals to the female audience was the Women Right s Movement. Eva is displayed as a woman who takes charges and is independent in life and love. She is the perfect example of everything the Women Right s Movement is trying to do. The play challenged normal gender roles by showing a woman in power. All the other First Ladies before Eva Peron didn t participate in politics. They follow their husband s orders and donate to charity here and there. Eva Peron did take a major role in the fight for women s right in Argentina. In 1947 she promoted the new Peronist law for women right to vote. Another theme that related to the country current state was the political unrest. During the 1970 America was experiencing many political issues. Between the Vietnam War, which was widely opposed, and the Watergate Scandal, which cause Nixon to resign, the country s distrust in their government was strong. This similar political issue was shown in the song The Lady Got Potential with armed military removing and instated different presidential elected. There was also several scenes of riot and rally for government change shown in the movie. This is also shown through the character Che since he is supposed to be an everyday Argentina man. • 3. John Wycliffe Research Paper John Wycliffe whose name was spelled in several ways including Wyclif, Wycliff, Wiclef...etc. was a philosopher, theologian, translator, and preacher. He study at the University of Oxford located in England where he would later become a teacher as well. Though Wycliffe was not known to be part of the protestant reformers, like those of, John Calvin, Martin Luther, John Wesley, Ulrich Zwingli, he would carry a name of his own. He was/is considered to be a forerunner, one who kicked off the reformation, so to speak. One thing (among many) that should be equated to Wycliffe s name is the fact that he felt it necessary to translate the Bible into a common language. He would also develop followers who would be known as Lollards. Wycliffe s family was long settled in Yorkshire and covered a considerable amount of territory. John Wycliffe was born in a small village in Hipswel which was located in North Riding of Yorkshire, England around 1328. It is believed by most that it was here in his home town neighborhood where he would receive his early education. John would further his education at the university of Oxford, and though it is not revealed when his studies began, we do know that he remained involved with the school till his death. • 4. Robert Frost And Modern Poetry Many poets have shaped the writing style of modern day poetry a bit, but few have done so much as Robert Frost has in the ways of influencing today s poetry. A man widely renowned and respected in America, Frost used his shockingly modern writing style to help pave a path for the poems of the future. By analyzing this great poet, one can only hope to discover the true, raw meaning of the written words that have had a lasting impact on the views and, more importantly, on the world of poetry. This essay will explain how Robert Frost used his modernistic writing, his poem s philosophical nature, and his avid albeit beautiful descriptions of life and all its whims. All of this to break the mold of classical poetry writing, and to begin ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This poem is called The Silent Tent. The most noted and revered line in this poem is actually the first, She is as in a field a silken tent . This signifies the fact that Frost chose to compare Kay (the woman he fell for) to a silken tent. Frost may have chosen for the tent to be silk to express the soft beauty of Kay; after all, silk is normally described as beautiful, soft, and smooth. As the poem The Silken Tent goes on, the metaphors become complex and more and more are tangled within one another. This can symbolize how, as time went on, Frost s love for Kay, as well as their relationship, became more and more complicated. Frost uses ropes as a way to express that Kay is tied down by her duties, but he then goes on to say that all of the cords are loosely bound . In the last line of the poem, Frost explains that marriage is like a form of bondage. When married, a person is bound religiously, socially, and legally. However, Frost states that it is only a slight amount of bondage, showing that Kay s marriage wasn t constricting or strict. Lastly, by using light weather (such as sunny summer breeze and summer air ) in this particular poem, Frost evokes a feeling of happiness, signifying that Kay was a happy woman. Sharing this poem with the world, in its most romantic and personal form, took courage, causing even more people to flock towards Frost and his writing. All of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Her parents always go around pestering her to be more open and talk to people, but it is not like they make it simple for her. It has gotten to the point that each question asked would fly through Ellie s ear, not even bothering to understand them. How was your day today? • 6. Corporal Punishment Is A Form Of Physical Punishment Corporal punishment is a form of physical punishment that inflicts pain on kids for their negative actions such as spanking. This topic is controversial because some people feel very strongly that they should be allowed to continue using these methods and others feel very strongly that they should not be allowed to. I feel as if this method of punishment is inhumane and should not continue to be used. The modernization of psychology has proved that hitting children will not help them learn that what they did was wrong and will probably just make them angry or frustrated why they were abused. Even if they don t do it again i think that it s just because they re scared not to, not because they actually learned not to and once they aren t scared anymore then they may continue to commit that action. Also if it s legal for people to do then in some cases it will be overused and the person will not be able to get into trouble if they get caught. Being abused can be a very traumatizing life event that can affect somebody forever, if we start bringing it back into schools then it could really ruin some kid s lives. According to Yun Jinies, who writes for abc news, he wrote this article to inform people about some of the dangers that come along with corporal punishment being in schools. Yun brought up a specific incident that occurred in a school where a principal paddled a 5 year old student. Tenika Jones says the principal at the Joyce Bullock Elementary School in Levy ... • 9. Short Story Sucker Identity is who we are, even though it can be hard sometimes to find out exactly what that means. That is why our identities can be so easily changed and shaped by different things. This is especially true during our adolescent years, when we are vying for acceptance from others. Sometimes we are the ones who shape who we are. This can happen when we choose to ignore outside influences who would normally affect us. Nevertheless, most of the time we are shaped by other people. Human beings have a never ending want to be socially accepted. We are all insecure in our own way, leaving us prey to the influence of others. We are able to choose how we act and what we do, but even so we end up being changed by everyone who surrounds us. Although we have the freedom to make our own conscious decisions, ultimately the people around us shape who we are by the way they treat us. Even though we choose how we act towards others, we are strongly influenced by the people around us and how they behave towards us. The short story Sucker is about a teenage boy named Pete who shares a room with his younger cousin Sucker. Pete always teases Sucker, and this only gets worse after Pete gets a girlfriend. His girlfriend, Maybelle, becomes the root of the problems and good times between Sucker and Pete. This quote from the exposition of the story foreshadows the relationship Pete has with both Sucker and Maybelle. If a person admires you a lot you despise him and don t care and it is the ... It is important to learn about this system because in order for a company to track and take responsibility of their hazardous waste . With this in mind, a common type of consumer product such as a plastic bottle that could be redesigned to be healthier for humans, environmental friendly, and create less pollution towards our planet. The two ways that plastic bottles can become more intelligently designed is by changing how plastic bottles are manufactured in these industries and removing chemical ingredients that are harmful to human and environmental health. A coach has tremendous influence on the physical and psychological development of their athletes young and old. The primary responsibility of the coach is to enable their athlete to attain levels of performance not otherwise achievable: therefore, coaches need to develop skills to motivate athletes and establish the right conditions for learning. Being an effective coach is more than understanding the technical knowledge of sport, but also knowing how to build trusting kinesthetic relationships. My role as a coach is to connect with, engage, excite, and empower athletes, regardless of their athletic ability, and I try to embody this in my teaching. On September 22, 1862 Lincoln issued a preliminary Emancipation Proclamation, declaring that as of January 1st, 1863, all slaves in the rebellious states shall be then, thenceforward, and forever free. Despite that the Emancipation Proclamation did not free any slave, it was still an eye opening and crucial part of history. It changed the focal point of the Civil War, and gave the people an aspiration and motive to get up everyday. It also changed the entire purpose of the Civil War to save the nation and transform the motive from preserving the Union into standing up for human rights and freedom. Overall, the Emancipation Proclamation ultimately changed the morals and the message of the purpose behind the Civil War. Lincoln believed that slavery was an unqualified evil to the negro, the white man, and the State, although during his first inaugural address, Lincoln claimed that he had no purpose, directly or indirectly, to interfere with slavery in the States where it exists. Allelic Variation in BRCA Genes Could Be the Key to Understanding Familial Breast Cancer Introduction Breast cancer is an uncontrollable division of cells within the breast tissue that affects about 12% of women in their lifetime. Cancer can be caused by sporadic mutations influenced by environment or by genetic disposition. Several genes play a role in cell division: Oncogenes are responsible for directing mitosis, and tumor suppression genes prevent the expression of genes involved in cell division. Mutations that occur in either gene can lead to carcinogenic tumor growth and immortal cell lines. A quantitative allelic imbalance assay was developed to determine differences in gene expression from individual BRCA1/2 alleles. Allele specific assays quantify gene expression specific to the allele being tested. For the BRCA1 gene, two individuals homozygous for the BRCA1 c.4308T/T or BRCA1 c.4308C/C polymorphism were tested. Complementary DNA (cDNA) was created from reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT PCR) using RNAs extracted from blood lymphocytes. RT PCR uses reverse transcriptase to form an RNA/cDNA heteroduplex that is then amplified by normal polymerase chain reaction techniques to produce a large quantity of cDNA. Ratios of the cDNA from the two alleles were mixed for use in real time PCR (qPCR). qPCR uses fluorescent probes that anneal to the cDNA during PCR. These probes contain a reporter and a quencher; the reporter fluoresces when separated from the quencher, allowing a computer to measure the number of cycles needed for the fluorescence to exceed background levels (cycle threshold or CT). Using the ratios of cDNAs and ∆CT, a linear regression was computed to form an allelic expression standard curve that can be used to evaluate allelic imbalance. These same methods were repeated with BRCA2 with two individuals homozygous for the BRCA2 c.3396A/A or BRCA2 c.3396G/G allele. The allelic imbalance assay developed was now used with specific single nucleotide polymorphisms in BRCA1 ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

You must decide what type of business you would like to operate, including the different business structures, legal forms and permits that must be obtained, zoning laws, tax laws, and the liability you may expose yourself to. If you have a business with employees, you may need to decide if you want to hire non union or union members. You will also need to research the many banking and financial institutions as you want to make sure your money is well protected. The different types of business structures include sole proprietorships, partnerships, and corporations. These business structures also offer different options within themselves. A business that is owned and managed by a single individual is a sole proprietorship. There are three categories of a partnership general partnerships, limited partnerships, and limited liability partnerships. A corporation can be closely held or publicly held. Let us see what the advantages and disadvantages are for these different business structures. The advantage of being a sole proprietorship is that the person who owns it is able to make all the decisions on his own; he doesn t need to consult with anyone. It is true that people learn from their mistakes, but it is what they are ignorant of that gets repeated. If people knew something was morally wrong, they would avoid doing it. If they were raised to believe it was right, they would still do it, thinking they are doing right. Not only bad things have a reincarnation in the future, but good things as well. She is the model of a virtuous being. She has absolute trust in God, and she teaches other to do the same. She practices being loyal to the law as well as her faith. • 24. Why Girls Are Dumb Why Girls Are Dumb Girls are dumb for a million reasons. What causes girls to become selfish, fake, annoying bitches? Well, the world may never know. Why are girls so different from boys? They are not that different are They? Girls are dumb because instead of confronting people to their face, girls hide behind anything they can. Girls are also dumb because they choose to see the bad in everyone instead of the good and they also have a habit of being afraid to admit when we are wrong. They make bullies out of themselves, sometimes not knowing it. Girls always tend to hide behind anything they can so they do not have to actually go and talk about their problems to another girl face to face. Talking to girls face to face is a whole lot better than messaging them via text, email, snapchat, facebook messenger, or even calling them. Nothing is the same as face to face because when you are with a person face to face you can see their reaction, their facial expressions, and tears. Straying away from the main point, but, why are girls so scared of those reactions? That is what makes us human. Having emotions is what makes us who we are. Who would we be without emotions? We would not be human. God created us with emotions with emotions for a reason. Back on track, girls that do not confront people face to face are scared and insecure of them own selves, so they try to make others insecure about themselves by talking crap about other people but being too scared to talk to them face to face. Sometimes, girls think they are doing the right thing by confronting someone through via phone texting or calling, because confronting them through phone is better than not confronting them at all, but in reality, it does not help anything at all. Confronting them through phone is almost as bad as not confronting anyone at all. Facetime is still not the same as face to face. Another reasons why girls are so dumb is because they choose to see the bad in everyone instead of the good. The characteristics of this narrator include distance from the story told and in most of the novel, the narrative voice is intradiegetic through the eyes of the character of Anna who endures a harsh life as twenty year old worker who takes care of her family by herself. The words used highlight the effort Anna is facing as the phrase; back bent has a negative connotation as it suggest her body is facing downwards and dragging causes the audience to realise the physical pain she is suffering. The use of burns is contrasting the cold she is feeling, which is hyperbolized as it an excess of low temperature causes her face to feel burned. On the quotation the narrator gives visual, tactile and kinetic images in order to transmit the reader how the low temperatures and the hard effort were felt in most of the character senses, causing a realistic description of the suffering. If they only interviewed people who were upset with Walmart the results would be expected to be as they were, but if they interviewed ten or fifteen random people and got the same response, it would have a better chance at being accurate and not biased. Lastly when the people felt like they were being discriminated against, were there people of different ethnicities, males and females that thought they were being discriminated against other than those shown in the video clip? This also depends on whether they interviewed only people with a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 38. Joy Luck Club Mother-Daughter Relationship Essay East West Values and the Mother daughter Relationship in The Joy Luck Club The dominant theme of The Joy Luck Club is the clash between Chinese, American cultures, and how it affects the relationship between mothers and daughters. All of the mothers in the book were born and raised in China. All of their daughters were born and raised in the United States. Because of the differences in family traditions and values between the way the mothers had been raised in China and the way their daughters were growing up in America, there was bound to be a clash between the two generations. Perhaps the most dramatic example of how East West conflicting traditions and values affected a mother daughter relationship was that of Suyuan Woo and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... (Tan 136) The television show gave Suyuan a model for how June could excel and the mother worked cleaning house for a piano teacher to give June lessons and a second hand piano for her to practice on. June is aghast at her mother s plans for her. She thought she had been sent to hell. I whined and then kicked my foot a little when I couldn t stand it anymore. June asks, Why don t you like me the way I am? I am not a genius! I cannot play the piano. And even if I could, I wouldn t go on TV if you paid me a million dollars! I cried. Her mother is equally appalled by June s insolence and disobedience. Disrespect for her elders and ingratitude for what her parents were providing in the way of opportunity was unknown in a daughter from the old China. Suyuan preserved and forced June to practice but June soon found ways to subvert the system and refuse to play as well as she might have. The climax came during a talent show in a church hall. The mother invited all of her friends from the Joy Luck Club to witness her daughter s first recital. June started okay but then found that she was playing the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Essay on The Marxist Ideal Cannot Work The Marxist ideal, a highly appealing, almost Utopian society, is impossible to achieve due to the fact that it demands that the human mind be almost without flaws. It asks of society and its members to be absolutely without ranks, without greed or leadership. This has been clearly impossible for society. Each step to achieving a communist establishment has been, continues to be, and will be, in actuality, a step towards the totalitarian societies of past and current so called communist countries. Communism became popular solely in under developed countries, contrary to Marx s beliefs as to what should happen, and its rise in these countries was the beginning of its fall. From the very beginning, even prior to the foretold revolution, the ideal is fitted to the leaders viewpoints, which is completely opposite to what Marx had envisioned. The problem with capitalism, as Marx saw it, was that leaders were taking the lives and futures of others in their hands and using them to their advantage and this was forever escalating. As Leninist Russia progressed, Lenin guaranteed that people did not gain too much freedom and implemented such forces as the secret police and one party rule. Thus, through initial adaptations of the system as envisioned by its creator, the distortion of the ideal is present even in its beginnings. Following the first step towards communism is the revolution that Marx predicted would ultimately occur. However, through a revolution, especially a violent one that Marx deemed would ... When it comes to the selection of tools to use in a pentest there is the choice between automated and manual tests. In an online article written by Fergal Glynn, he explains that penetration testing tools are used as part of a pentest to automate certain tasks, improve testing efficiency, and discover issues that might be difficult to find using manual techniques. There are two common penetration testing tools: static analysis tools and dynamic analysis tools. It was such a breakthrough, that he had to analyze the whole situation. Although it took some years to finally grasp the concept of it, Perrin is now comfortable and understands the logic behind the typical gender roles; not from research and other people s work, but from his own experience and his own ideas. At an age where you would generally start to develop from a boy to a man, age sixteen, Noel Perrin found himself on a three day trip from New York to Steamboat Springs, Colorado to become an assistant horse wrangler. Perrin makes it sound like it s such a burden to be envious or jealous of those manly qualities. I think it s human nature to do that and there is nothing wrong with acting out that way. No man is going to say I want to be that guy , instead they re saying I want to be LIKE that guy , combining the qualities you have already with the ones that you don t have. • 46. Consequences Of Mao Zedong Under Mao Zedong, China experienced profound social and economic changes. Industry increased, prostitution and opium use was reduced, and many experienced an increase in social standing as land was redistributed to the peasants, prior to collectivization. But many of the policies that were enacted had negative, even disastrous consequences, which were never properly apologized for or rectified. In 1981, 5 years after Mao s death, the Chinese Communist Party stated that Mao was essentially 70% good and 30% bad. But Mao s disconnect from the actualities of his policies, paranoia towards his status in the Party and his public image, and lack of foresight in regards to the consequences of his decisions had extreme ramifications on China that not only led to the death of millions, but fundamentally undermined legitimacy of the government. Through the specific policies of the Hundred Flowers campaign, the Great Leap Forward, and the Cultural Revolution, Mao s lack of understanding of his actions, and his poor treatment of those who criticized him are very apparent. And while not all of Mao s policies and actions were disastrous, his errors outweighed his merits. In actuality, Mao s actions were more likely 80% bad and 20% good. Mao implemented many policies during his time in power, yet when faced with the unforeseen consequences, Mao made decisions that not only contradicted his prior statements, had unforeseen consequences. Today, I will be talking to James Hackett, who is the CEO of Ford, as well as Brendan, a union representative that will be arguing to keep the workers ford has now. We will discuss about the future of Ford s production. I want to persuade him to move to a fully automated production process that will result in many benefits for the company. Ford motors should move to fully automated manufacturing plants, because it will save the company multitudes of money, the robots would be much more efficient in production, and the cost of ford products would decrease. By moving to a fully automated production method, ford will be able to save themselves a plethora of money. Ford will no longer have to pay factory workers, saving the company endless amounts money. Ford has multitudes of factories workers all making a certain salary or hourly wage, and every penny of this expense will be eliminated. Although they will have to spend initial amounts of money on the robots themselves, the money they will save in the long run will be well worth the initial investment. The robot s production possibilities are exponentially better than a human worker. These robots can work endless hours and produce things much faster than humans. According to one website, They (robot workers) can produce a greater quantity in a short amount of time (Robot Works). This fact proves the higher possibility of production and faster rate ... • 48. The Function Of Mate Guarding Of The Field Crickets The function of mate guarding in the field crickets, Gryllus bimaculatus Abstract: In insect species with indirect sperm transfer, sperm is packed in a spermatophore that is either externally attached to the female s genital opening or introduced into her bursa copulatrix. Sperm transfer is not immediate in these species, and consequently mate guarding has been suggested to function as a mechanism of guarding sperm until it is released from the spermatophore into the female (i.e. spermatophore guarding). Spermatophore guarding is relatively common in insect species with external spermatophores (e.g. Orthoptera; Alcock 1994; Simmons 2001), but supposedly absent in species with internal spermatophores and rapid sperm release (Simmons 2001). This study focuses on two hypothesis associated with mate guarding a tactic of many species that adjust their reproductive behaviour according to the apparent risk of sperm competition. The phenomenon of mate guard to consider sperm competition levels and evolution of internal spermatophore guard is wide spread in insects and other animals. We analyse two hypothesis one the rival exclusion followed by the next spermatophore renewal hypothesis. Results showed that as rival was introduced to the arena of mating of the distinctive original male (guard) in many cases showed a strong aggressive behaviour regardless of whether successively avert the rival. In the second hypothesis certainly majority of the incidents showed an attempt of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
