2. Value Orientation Theory
This theory proposes that all human societies have to answer
a limited number of universal problems. Value based solutions
are limited in number and universally known, but all cultures
have different preferences among them.
3. Value Orientation Theory
These suggested questions include human and their relation
with time, nature and each other, and also include the nature
of human nature and basic human motives.
4. Value Orientation Theory
Kluckhohn and Strodtbeck
suggested alternate answers to
all five and developed culture-
specific measures of each. This
theory has been tested in
several cultures to examine the
inter-generational value
changes caused by migration.
5. Value Orientation Theory
Other theories of universal values produce value concepts
similarly suggesting that a set of universal human values
exists and that cross-cultural psychologists are close to
discovering what they are.
