Abstract: In 1967, Canada celebrated her centennial as a country unified outwardly, but inwardly
divided. Within Canadian letters both French and English Canadian literary historians had spent a
hundred years unsuccessfully attempting to create a unified narrative to explain the shared story of
their origins. This paper will focus primarily on English Canadian literary histories, and the part
they played in resolving the problem of creating the nation of Canada. I will argue that it took a full
century to solve the problem , and was achieved by Northrup Frye s when he moving English
Canadian literature outside the realm of socio politics and entirely into the mythopoeic sphere.
However, this conclusion , relied on a modernist understanding of the role of meta narratives in the
shared story of nationhood, without which assumption, such a conclusion risks becoming little
more than a rhetorical contortion. I will conclude by suggesting that it was only when Canadian

differences and explain why they are different. They have a large variety of differences which had

Housing
The Inuits lives in snow houses known as Igloos. They houses were made out of snow as it was
plentiful in the area they lived in. The snow was many metres thick so it was ideal for insulating
Igloos; this meant they kept at a comfortable 16В°C especially when the females cooked food.

ethnographic report is to examine the effectiveness of the symbol system of the MSM liturgy in
terms of the ritual purpose and the extent of the reflection on Christian stories and beliefs of the
Easter Triduum. This case study aims to analyse the level of engagement and understanding in the
community of the symbol system represented in the MSM liturgy in terms of the Easter Triduum
by surveying students and conducting an interview. The symbol system of the MSM liturgy on
Holy Thursday was highly effective in engaging the community in a reflection on the Easter Story
when the participants came with prior knowledge, as this offered a better understanding and
insight to the liturgy which made it easier to follow. The contemporary symbols were engaging
and effectively communicated the Easter Story to the whole community, whereas the traditional

After conducting some research I found that The United States does not have any federal
legislation that is specific to genetically modified organisms (GMOs) . Along with this I

The Flynn Effect is the tendency of IQ scores to change over time, and specifically, the apparent
increase in intelligence in the general population evidenced by a steady increase in IQ scores. It
was first noticed by James Flynn (The Flynn Effect). As years went by and IQ tests were
restandardized, it was noticed that when previous tests were taken the outcomes were better on the
previous tests than the tests that were in current circulation. The Flynn Effect has a number of
factors that can attribute to the effect taking place. One factor in particular that has been discussed
by many different people is the factor of overall better nutrition. Overall better nutrition has
occurred in many places over the last 100 years or so. This improvement has been linked to head
growth, earlier maturation of children, increased height, and faster growth (Williams). Increased
head growth most likely means that human brains are growing which can subsequently be linked to
the increased intelligence that is proven by IQ scores. The earlier maturation and faster growth of
children can also be linked to how a population s intelligence improves over many years. The Flynn
Effect and nutrition are related through the correlation of increased intelligence and increased
overall nutrition. The effects of the Flynn effect on nutrition and vice versa are extensive. The

Hypertension is medical terminology for high blood pressure. High blood pressure means there
is more force pushing blood through vessels, which means that the heart is being required to
work harder. There are multiple ways one can obtain high blood pressure. Some of these ways

of the argument, too often people become complacent and lose the ability to think for themselves.
The common term that refers to this type of herd mentality is sheeple . The play, 12 Angry Men,
and NASA s Challenger disaster are two prime examples of the downfalls of groupthink. Below, I
will discuss both the helpful and harmful aspects of groupthink surrounding both 12 Angry Men,

In the play, 12 Angry Men, the vote was 11 1 in favor of a guilty verdictin the case being tried. The
one juror stood his ground, explained his theory as to why a guilty verdict could not be delivered,
and was unwavering in his stance. The jurors went around the table twice, and ended with
everyone siding with the original juror. As the deliberations played out and jurors were questioned,

It is easy to see how the image can convey many different concepts based on perception of
individuals. When looking at the image it is typical for the eye to be drawn to the bottom right

It helps me release some of my obsessive control over things (or my false belief I have control) over
to Him. His timing is perfect, I can try to exert my will, but His is non changing. He does not
change. When I make a choice not to surrender to His will I can make myself miserable trying to

Coal Was Formed During The Carboniferous Period
Coal was formed during the Carboniferous Period, which was between 360 290 million years ago.
All of the coal originated from plant fossils. Around 400 million years ago plants once grew
around fresh water swamps. As they eventually died, the plants fell and accumulate in the water.
Many layers of sediments, mud and sand compressed the plants and allowed no oxygen, which
results in no decomposition. Over time the layers get built up resulting in immense pressure and
heat transforming each layer into different types of coal. For the substance to be considered coal it
needed to contain less than 50% of ash forming mineral matter. The four stages of coal are: Peat,
Lignite (brown coal), Sub bituminous coal, Bituminous coal and Anthracite.

The father, or father figure, has the ability like no other to shape the life of his young daughter.
This is because of the powerful influence that fathers hold, which gives them the ability to not only
impress upon a daughter s actions, but also her self confidence, esteem, image, and even her
opinions of men. Depending on the father, or person in the conventional father s place,
communication styles and teaching methods widely vary in the father daughter relationship. This is

Contrastly, in Little Red Riding Hood , the father s goal is to warn his daughter of all men, not
just one in specific. However, this moral can be interpreted that the daughter must be cautious of
men, more specifically pimps and those who wish to exploit or harm her sexually. This point is
successfully expressed through the use of wolves in the child s folktale, but the story also comes
with a moral for the young daughter to never talk to strangers because it is [the] gentle wolves

that, consequently, neither our understanding of these instances, nor our knowledge of their truth
may be constituted by the recognitional and executive capacities which, according to Michael

I believe that anti realism about the past is false under both construals and I shall defend realism
about the past against them. I obviously take realism to be a modal thesis about the relation
between truth and its recognition, a thesis which says that the truth of statements in the past tense
is independent from the obtaining of the sort of evidence which we normally rely on to recognize
that they are true : testimonies, reports, documents, memories, and so on. It follows from this that
the most promising way of arguing in its favour is to meet the now familiar Dummettian
manifestability challenge . This is what I propose to do here. I shall address that challenge directly
and conclude, contrary to Michael Dummett s anti realist, that (R) is true.
I shall begin with a few words of caution regarding the content of the challenge. It is often taken for
granted that anti realism of the Dummettian variety, either negatively or conditionally construed, is
inferred from the provisional claim that no one has yet managed to show, or has yet even made
clear, how one could manifest an understanding of the meaning of particular instances of (R),
instances such as :

Dummett and other advocates of semantic anti realism like Crispin Wright and Neil Tennant, have
