Working Title:
What is it called? This can change if you think of something better later
 Gaming review
Product’s Purpose:
What is the product’s purpose (entertain/educate etc.) and how will you achieve this?
 The purpose of my product is to entertain while also educate the audience on a certain
genre of games and to give them my personal opinion on the game.
Genre:
What sort of product is it
 I would say that my product is a gaming podcast/review
Content
What is your product about? Discuss what you would put in it (be specific). Does it have a story? If
so, discuss it here
 My product will be about a game called Alien isolation, a survival horror game where you
play as Ellen Ripley a young women looking for her mum who was last seen on a space
station that has been infested with xenomorph’s. In this podcast I am going to put my
personal opinion on the game and talk about graphics, the story line and the features in
the game e.g. hacking, hiding location and motion tracker. Because I’m talking about this
story in my podcast it will mean that I will have to extend the length of the audio because
of how complex the story is and because I will need to make sure the audience knows
what I’m talking about and know the context of the game that I am talking about.
Audience:
Who is your audience? Be very detailed; age, gender, social status, psychographic etc
Why would your project appeal to this person?
 My target audience will be mainly male teenagers aged 15-17. This is because the
majority of gamers are based round this age allowing my product to attract a larger
audience. I have chosen to target mostly males for my product because there are a larger
amount of male gamers then female and the topic I will be talking about is a violent horror
game called Alien isolation so I think my podcast will be more appealing to males then
females, however I will also make sure that my product is attractive to females as well to
maximise the size of my target audience. I will also make my product targeted for people
who are in the middle social class because I think this audience is most likely to listen to
my podcast because not only can they afford things such as computers and phones to
listen to the podcast on and will most likely have things related to the topic e.g.
PlayStations, Xbox or gaming pc’s. I think this will make my product appeal to the
audience more because they can relate and because my product is about something my
audience enjoys and wants to learn more but I also think this social class has the most
free time to listen to the podcast because a lot of my target audience in this social don’t
have as large amounts of responsibilities then my target audience in the lower social class
whereas the upper social class of my target audience will most likely not like the topic that
my product is about.

Legal & Ethical Considerations:
Think about any offensive material you will include? – I will try not to include any offensive material
however the topics I’m talking about may have offensive material in it, for example if I talk about a
game that takes place in world war 2 there is a chance that in the game we hear some religious or
raciest slurs that may offend my audience. But I will be trying to avoid such topics.
Will you restrict younger people using/accessing it? - I will restrict my podcast on apps such like
YouTube where it will be made as adult content and if parents wish they can block their children
from watching it however if my product goes on any other websites I might not be able to restrict
them from watching it.
Will it offend any social groups/religions/ethnicities? – like I stated before when talking about if my
product will offend anyone it depends on what topic talk about on the day
How will you ensure you do not offend anyone? – I will put a disclaimer at the start of my podcast
that states if it contains anything that could offend anyone and that if they are easily offended they
should not watch/listen to it.
Are you using characters/names/logos of existing products/IPs? – in my podcast I will be talking
about existing products, characters, company’s etc.
Will you product be sufficiently different from existing products to not get sued for copyright
infringement? – my product will be completely original content and will not be like anyone else’s
and I will make sure that my sound effects/music is not similar to anyone else’s
