English related to local transportation.
 In unit 1 we also learned to use language functions to ask how to get to a
place
 Apart from that, we will learn how to express prohibitions and suggestions
related to traffic regulations

Prohibitions are language expressions that contain messages to other people not to
do something that is prohibited or thought to be dangerous.
example :
With verb :
-Don’t get in that bus , there are many pick pockets
-Don’t park in here
Without verb :-
- don’t be late , you will miss the train
- don’t be in hurry , there are many buses there

 Suggestions is a language function that contains suggestions or advice to
other people
 Example
- You had better wait for some moment , there are
many buses to bandung
- You should get in a bus number nine or eleven
- you had better go there by bus , it only takes ten
minutes and it is cheap

ASKING FOR AND GIVING DIRECTION
In this unit we will learn how to ask for directions to a place we want to go to
in English. Besides that, we will also learn to show directions to a certain
place in English

 Untuk menanyakan sesuatu kepada orang lain dapat diawali dengan ungkapan “
excuse me “ . Exmaple : excuse me , does this bus go station ?
 Meminta seseorang untuk memberi tahu kepada kita pada dasarnya cukup dengan
bentuk command , atau perintah . Example : tell me how to get there !
 Can , could dan would like dapat dipakai untuk menanyakan sesautu kepada orang
lain untuk memberi tahu atau melakukan sesuatu kepada kita . Example : can you
tell me where the nearest post office is ?
 Wh-questions adalah pertanyaan yang diawali dengan wh-questions / questions-
word questions . Example : when , where , which , how much , how many , etc
