QUESTIONS
• What is the age range of potential views?
• As my chosen area of abuse is domestic violence against women there will probably
an age range of 16 and onwards. There really isn’t a precise age range for domestic
violence it can happen to anyone. The age rating for my short film is 15.
• ABC1:
• Based on my chosen area of abuse I believe that there really isn’t a particular class it
points towards to. However, if I had to be concise and based on my research it I
think it would mainly points towards to the lower class. C2.
• What gender will the audience be?
• Majority of them would probably be women as it is focused on them and their pain.
• What will the occupation be of potential consumers?
• Supervisory or clerical, junior managerial, administrative or professional
• What factors are potential customers likely to consider before purchasing/ consuming
the short.
• If women choose to buy it there are chances that they might be too scared watch it
but mainly buy it as it might give the others a feeling that she is getting abused. It is
very hard to predict.
• How will the cost find out about the short film you are distributing?
• I will advertise my short film on the radio as it would be much cheaper than
advertising it on the TV.
• Will the cost of the product influence a customer’s decision to buy from you? (If you
are selling it- you might argue it is free)
• It will be free at first as I want people to hear about it and watch it, then based on
the growth of the film I will then decide whether it should still be free.
• List all the ways contact could be made with potential customers in order to gain
qualitative and quantitative research
• E.g. quantitative research could include links on social media in order to gain an
understanding of the likes and dislikes of a certain age and gender (i.e. percentage
of likes and dislikes).
• E.g. qualitative research could include focus groups about the narrative of your film
to gain attitudes and opinion of your audience.
• Qualitative: Make a social page about it, magazines or TV adverts, radio.
• Quantitative: Market research, surveys/quiz.
• Probable objections to your short film
• It’s not from the man’s point of view.
• Risk of alienating your secondary audience
• It can alienate my secondary audience as it is aimed towards women and men will
find it hard to relate to as it’s from a woman’s point of view.
