Purpose
• The mainpurpose of my film magazine is to
promote my new film and ensure that the
target audience of my film is reached and
they are informed about what my film is
about.

• Thefilm festival I have chosen for the new
horror film is BFI film festival, they showcase a
range of genres of films which will allow a wider
range of people to become aware of my film and
widen my audience, helping it grow and become
largely known.

•The genre of my film magazine is horror, I have chosen this genre
as it easily attracts an audience as it includes a intriguing storyline
including investigation and the mystery of missing people.
• In my film magazine I am going to include QR codes that will take
you to the trailer of the film, this will show the more exciting and
interesting parts of the film while creating curiosity but without
giving away too much to the audience.
• I will have around 25 pages in my film magazine, although this is
shorter than most magazines, I think it is suited for the younger
people who will see it as they may not be as inclined to read it all
so it can keep them engaged as the content is more focused and
quicker and easier to read.
• As well as this, for the form of the magazine I will have the
magazine cost £4.30 pounds, this will make sure it is affordable for
everyone to ensure inclusivity for my film magazine.
• To ensure that my film magazine stays well known is by releasing it
weekly, where it will restock in supermarkets, newsagents and other
highstreet stores.

• Throughout my film magazine I am going to incorporate
multiple images of different parts of my film to give an
idea of what is included in the content of the film, as well
as this it will contain a series of small articles that tell
the audience a small summary of the film which will help to
convince them to want to watch the film to find out the
rest.

•My new film idea is a mystery of missing
people, showing the anticipation for the
investigators and for the families as they
wait to find out what happened to their
loved one. This creates an interest for the
audience along with giving a message
through the story.

• The north London independent film company that I
am using for my film magazine is north Harley films
LTD, I am using them as my film is a horror and
they focus on promoting horrors, which will further
emphasise and make the film stand out to the
audience.

Target audience
• Theprimary audience for my film magazine is ages
15 to 25, this is because this age range usually
looks for thrill seeking films with suspense,
jumpscares and adrenaline boosting scenes which my
film will include making it more suitable for them.
• The secondary audience for my film is 25 to 35
this is as they are more mature and can enjoy the
more serious and darker parts of the storyline, and
more likely to understand the main message of the
story.
• My film is suitable for any gender, and race as I
have a diverse range of genders and ethnicitys in
my film and I want It to be as inclusive as possible.

• Forthe existing streaming service I will use prime video,
they are globally used for many award winning films and
will help widen my audience.
• For the new streaming service that I am choosing is called
Scare Cinemas, they are solely used with horror films
where their watchers will be mainly horror fans, this makes
sure I reach my target audience.

Distribution and marketing
-To promote my film magazine and make sure it reaches the
correct audience, I am going to use different advertising
strategies to help get the film magazine out, such as:
- Posting short trailers of the film on tiktok and other social
media, where you will see snippets of key moments in the
film. This will help to boost the visibilty of the film
magazine, reach the primary audience as they are more
likely to be using social media like tiktok and instagram and
will aslo increase the sales of the film magazine as the
trailer will include links to the website that the film
magazine is ditributed on.
- Through posters shown in high footfall areas in north
London, like on transport hubs and popular tourist
destinations. I will do this to expand audience exposure,
captures attention as it is a long term option of distributing
the product.

a sharp and uneven style which mirrors the
storyline and keeps in theme with the film.

London, they have a similar color scheme to
what I will be using, however my layout will
be more structures and clear.
