STRONG
RELATIONSHIPS

Introduction
 With a background in psychology, Dr. Philip H.
Levy understands the dynamics of organizations
and the qualities of good leadership. Dr. Philip H.
Levy’s areas of expertise include helping
individuals build successful relationships.
Whether in a business or personal setting, the
ability to form healthy relationships with others is
important to a person’s success and well-being.
It’s also important to understand that relationships
take effort, and that there are certain actions a
person can take to improve communication with
others and ultimately establish and maintain
strong relationships.
Building Strong Relationships
 For example, a person should first try to understand
the other person’s view before trying to explain their
own point of view. In other words, people should really
listen to each other, "active listening", rather than
simply trying to find opportunities to speak. This
approach shows a commitment to building the
relationship, and it can go a long way in forming a
sense of mutual respect.
Similarly, people should not view interactions with
others as if one person will win and the other will lose,
as this does not help people form a constructive and
successful relationship. Instead, they should work
together to find solutions that are of mutual benefit-- a
win-win!

Tips for Building Strong Relationships

  • 2. Introduction  With a background in psychology, Dr. Philip H. Levy understands the dynamics of organizations and the qualities of good leadership. Dr. Philip H. Levy’s areas of expertise include helping individuals build successful relationships. Whether in a business or personal setting, the ability to form healthy relationships with others is important to a person’s success and well-being. It’s also important to understand that relationships take effort, and that there are certain actions a person can take to improve communication with others and ultimately establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • 3. Building Strong Relationships  For example, a person should first try to understand the other person’s view before trying to explain their own point of view. In other words, people should really listen to each other, "active listening", rather than simply trying to find opportunities to speak. This approach shows a commitment to building the relationship, and it can go a long way in forming a sense of mutual respect. Similarly, people should not view interactions with others as if one person will win and the other will lose, as this does not help people form a constructive and successful relationship. Instead, they should work together to find solutions that are of mutual benefit-- a win-win!
