Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is increase effectiveness, create meaningful learning and influence student attitudes in future career pursuit. There are several studies in the literature reporting different aspects of STEM into a PjBL pedagogy. However, the effect of implementing STEM PjBL in terms of improving students’ skills in self-efficacy levels in physics mechanics at high school level has not been demonstrated as expected in the previous literature. This study followed a quasi-experimental research method. Bandura’s social cognitive theory is used to assess and compare the effect of STEM PjBL with conventional teaching method on students’ self-efficacy level in learning physics among over 100 high school students. The result illustrated that STEM PjBL improve students’ self-efficacy to solve physics problem. Also, the study proposes a guideline for future research.

A Study of Anxiety in Relation to Academic Achievement among Higher Secondary...ijtsrd
Our education mainly stresses to develop cognitive aspect which deals with knowledge and to some extent develop cognitive aspect which deals with motor skills. The affective aspect which deals with emotions, feelings and sentiments of the child is totally neglected by our Education. For developing the child emotionally and socially mature, only formal education is not enough but informal education which the child gets from his family and society is also needed. In the past years, there has been extensive research on various approaches of teaching in secondary education. But no one method or approach has been found consistently superior to all. It reveals the fact that no single approach can be best suited to all the students. The most important question is to determine which students achieve more and under what conditions and also the factors which affect the achievement. An emerging area of research that holds promise in helping us to answer these questions is student's level of general mental ability in anxiety and emotional adjustment. Researchers and educationists are now attempting a thorough work in the area of general anxiety and emotional adjustment and found it a very potential one in influencing the student's academic achievement. This study was designed to assess the convergent validity of the professional anatomy (a multifaceted examination) with other markers of success (the various interactive assessment components of the curriculum) in determining the overall performance of third-year medical students. The aim was to isolate area of academic weakness among the students and to readjust the curriculum content to balance the weakness. A total of 66 third year medical students with records of their grades in the various assessments criteria were analyzed. Parameters on the average End-in course assessment, Short Essays Question (SEQ), Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ), and Practical (Steeple-chase) were considered. The Practical significantly correlated with overall performance (r = 0.89, P< 0.01). The Practical, MCQ, SEQ and End incourse showed an overall rank order of relative performance in assessment tasks and therefore indicate that, in general, students performance in the Professional examination was better than in the End-incourse examination.

A Study on Relationship between Achievement Motivation and Academic Achieveme...ijtsrd
The aim of this longitudinal study was to Relationship between Achievement Motivation and Academic Achievement in English among High School Students. A sample of 300 students participated in the study. Results of structural equation modeling showed that mastery goals approach and avoidance were indirect predictors of both behavioral and cognitive engagement through seeking help from teachers. Performance goals avoidance, but not approach orientation were associated with cognitive engagement through help seeking behaviors. Overall, these results suggest that achievement goals are key drivers of changes in academic engagement in early high school and that their contribution is explained by seeking help from teachers. Practical implications, limitations, and future research directions are discussed. Mr. CP. Senthil Kumar | Dr. T. Attitude of Secondary School Teachers towards Equitable Education in Coimbato...ijtsrd
Equitable Education System was proposed in the state of Tamil Nadu. It was felt that by following this education system we could afford impartial education to all school children irrespective of region such as rural and urban, upper and lower caste, and religion etc. This new system of education came into existence after a lot of oppositions, obstacles and confusions. Determining attitude and efforts to advance a new system of education is very much essential. Attitude of teachers, students and parents about a new educational system influences the choices and national development. Teachers and parents have a supreme responsibility in the mental and physical growth of the students. Their attitude is one of the most important variables in the education of children. Successful and effective implementation of a new system of education depends upon the knowledge of teachers and their positive attitudes towards it. Thus, the study of teachers' attitude towards Equitable Education becomes indispensable to the implementation plans. These observations initiated the investigator to undertake the present study, “Attitude of Secondary School Teachers towards Equitable Education in Coimbatore District†G. Jayanthi | Dr. K. Searching for the relationship between secondary schools students' motivation...inventionjournals
This study aims to search students' science learning motivation in relation with some variables (such as having a separate study room at home and a personal computer) and the effect of motivational factors on students' science achievement. In the study, descriptive corelational survey model has been used to examine students' motivation in relation with some variables and to search the relationship between students' science learning motivation and their TEOG exam scores. The sample of the study consisted of 232 8th grade students attending 3 state secondary schools in Kahramanmaraş during 2013-2014 academic year. Students' motivation level has been determined by administering SMTSL. Students' average scores of the TEOG exam have been considered as their science achievement. The findings show that female students’ motivation level is higher than the male students. In addition, it has been observed that female students’ motivation is higher in sub-categories of active learning strategies, science learning value and achievement goal. There is a direct relationship between the students’ motivation and their TEOG scores. This shows that students with higher levels of motivation have higher success in TEOG.
An Analysis on the Attitudes of Academic Staff towards Distance Educationinventionjournals
In this study, the attitudes of the academic staff working in NamıkKemal University (NKU) towards distance education were examined according to different variables. Within this scope, the distance education attitude scale developed by Ağır et al. was used. 283 out of 955 academic staff working in NKU participated in this research in 2015. The data obtained from the research were analyzed by using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 22.0 program. In the evaluation of the data; numbers, percentages, mean and standard deviation were used as the descriptive statistical methods. T-test was used in the comparison of the quantitative continuous data between two independent groups, while One-Way ANOVA was used in the comparison of the quantitative continuous data between more than two independent groups. In order to determine the differences after the ANOVA, Scheffe’s test was used as the complementary post-hoc analysis. The obtained findings were evaluated at the confidence interval of 95% and at the significance level of 5%. It was determined in the study that the attitude level of the participants as to “the positive aspects of distance education” proved to be moderate (2,851 ± 0,716); whereas the attitude level as to “the negative aspects of distance education” proved to be weak (2,430 ± 0,757); and the attitude level as to “the advantages of distance education” proved to be high (3,618 ± 0,713).While age and gender were seen to have not affected the attitudes towards distance education, the academic title was seen to have affected these attitudes. The obtained statistical data and findings contributed to the studies regarding the foundation and constitution of Distance Education Center (DEC) as well as raising awareness for DEC
he objective this study was to determine whether music teacher candidates’
attitudes towards the teaching profession in Turkey differ with respect to
different variables. In this direction, a meta-analysis study was carried out on
the pre-service music teachers’ attitudes towards their profession. The study
consists of 12 studies chosen with predetermined criteria. Since the effect
sizes of these studies display a heterogeneous structure, the random effects
model was conducted. Effect sizes in the random effects model were
calculated by using Hedges g coefficient with 12 studies for gender and nine
studies for the form of high school graduated. Taking the results of the
findings into consideration, it was concluded that the attitudes of female
music teacher candidates towards the teaching profession are more positive
than male candidates. There is no difference between Fine Arts and other
high schools regarding the variable of the form of high school.

June 3, 2024 Anti-Semitism Letter Sent to MIT President Kornbluth and MIT Cor...Levi Shapiro
Letter from the Congress of the United States regarding Anti-Semitism sent June 3rd to MIT President Sally Kornbluth, MIT Corp Chair, Mark Gorenberg
Dear Dr. Kornbluth and Mr. Gorenberg,
The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is the principal oversight committee of the US House of Representatives and has broad authority to investigate “any matter” at “any time” under House Rule X.
• The Committee on Ways and Means has been investigating several universities since November 15, 2023, when the Committee held a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing. The Committee followed the hearing with letters to those institutions on January 10, 202

INTRODUCTION
Research in education helps the teachers to become more efficient in their tasks,
for effective matter alone is not suffice the teacher should have a sound knowledge in
choosing and using a particular instructional method for a certain learning activity
among a given group of learners. Educationist is researchers and teachers should
combine together their resources and expertise, so make available effective education
for maximum cost, through the use of appropriate technologies and techniques
(Aggarwal, Y.P. 1990). Research carried out to achieve this objective either by
professionals or by private individuals will be of immense help to practicing classroom
teachers facilitating their professional growth (Berliner DC 2002).
NEED FOR THE STUDY
In the fast moving world research has become important intellectual equipment
for the human beings to change their life style according to the needs and necessities of
the society research opens new frontiers in all the fields like medicine, agriculture,
space, business and also in education, one of the important objectives teacher education
is to create awareness and understanding of importance of research in the classroom.
Thus, action research becomes a part of the syllabus where in, the students are expected
to prepare action plans and implement the same during their practicing teaching
sessions. This, in turn is strengthened in the post graduate programme of education
where in dissertation was made a compulsory component by all universities. The main
aim of the M.Ed. course is to provide capability of serving community in general and
developing research perception and skills among the students in specific these students
in future have to promote interest towards research among the M.Ed., students when
they take up their jobs as teacher educators, the main theme of the present study is “A
study on research perception among M.Ed. scholars” the investigator would like to
study to research perception of M.Ed. level.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
1. To find out the level of perception towards research among the M.Ed., scholars.
2. To find out whether there is any significant difference in the mean scores of
perception towards research among the M.Ed., Scholars with respect to their
gender, age and level of study.
3. To find out where there is any significant association between Father’s
Education and their children’s perception towards research.
HYPOTHESES OF THE STUDY
The hypotheses of the present study a formulated as follows:
1. There is no significant difference in the mean scores of perception towards
research among the M.Ed., Scholars with respect to their gender, age and level
of study.
2. There is no significant association between Father’s education and their
children’s perception towards research.
METHOD ADOPTED IN THE PRESENT STUDY
In the present study, the investigator has employed the ‘survey method’.
Survey method is a method for collecting and analyzing data, obtained from large
number of respondents representing a specific population collected through highly
structured and detailed questionnaire or other techniques. This method is useful for
developmental studies where the current problems are described, as at present.
SELECTION AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE TOOL
As the first step towards the preparation of the research perception scale the
investigator has gone through much research scale, Research book, research journals
and discussion with research educators for collecting statements for the research
perception scale. The final drat if the tool consisted of 40 items. Their choices were
given for each item in the form such as strongly Agree, Agree, neutral, disagree, and
strongly disagree (5 point rating scale) in 5 columns. Each answer was allotted a
maximum mark if five to a minimum mark if one according to the respondents if the
respondents.

4
RELIABILITY AND VALIDITY OF THE TOOL
To find out the reliability of the tool, test and retest method was used. The
reliability of the test has been calculated by using Pearson’s product-moment
correlation coefficient formula. The value obtained was 0.87. Thus the validity of the
tool is established by using content validity.
POPULATION AND SAMPLE OF THE STUDY
In this study, all the scholars studying in M.Ed at various colleges
irrespective if the nature if Management and other criteria but located in Tirunelveli &
Tuticorin District, Tamilnadu have been taken as the population for the study. A good
sample must be representative of the entire population for this study, 253 samples has
been collected using random sampling technique.
STATISTICAL TECHNIQUES USED
The following statistical techniques were used in the present study, Mean (M),
Standard Deviations (S.D), ‘t’ test and Chi-square.

HYPOTHESES FINDINGS
Gender
The ‘t’ test result shows that, there is no significant difference in perception
towards research and skills among the M.Ed scholar with respect to their gender. This
may be due their interest to know the research methods and also their keen watch about
the update & day-to-day information of new fashion. Both of them have an interest to
get the knowledge of research methods.
Age
The ‘t’ test revels that, above 25 age group students having more mean score
than the below 25 age group students in their research perception. This may be due to
the fact, that today all pupils have proper education in all aspects. Particularly in
Tamilnadu all students were well educated and they are aware of future prospects.
Above 25 age group students have more personal and social experience than the below
25 age group students.
Level of study
The ‘t’ test result shows that, there is no significant difference in perception towards
research among the M.Ed scholar with respect to their level of study. This may be due
the fact that, in the M.Ed. course all the students should do research work in his/ her
specialization. So that all the M.Ed., scholars have a same level of perception in
research.
According to ‘2
’ test results
Father’s Education
The finding of the ‘2’ test is (a) There is significant difference between
perception towards research of M.Ed., scholars and their Father’s Education. The
reasons for the above findings may be the institutional freedom, democratic atmosphere
of home and college, dedicated and highly motivating parents and staff; personal
curiosity, alertness of future forecast etc.
EDUCATIONAL IMPLICATIONS & CONCLUSION
Research is the systematic process of collecting and analyzing information to
increase our understanding of the phenomenon under study. It is the function of the
researcher to contribute to the understanding of the phenomenon and to communicate
that understanding to others. It provides rewarding learning experiences for students,

and producing graduates capable of high personal and professional achievement. The
strategy underpinning the courses like M.Ed. is to provide a framework for the
acquisition and progressive development of knowledge throughout the learning
experience, to stimulate inquiry into subjects and to develop personal skills which will
equip students for life-long learning (John W. Best and James V. Khan 2004).
Educational research is often undertaken for the sake of Degree and not with a goal to
make a significant discovery (Levine. A 2007). It is also commented that research has
become imitative, repetitive; only oriented towards western culture and philosophy;
instrument oriented rather than goal oriented; statistics dependent in place of mastery of
knowledge domain; and lastly is not out of interest, aptitude of the students (Bracey
GW 1998). Other factors that affect the quality of research conducted by the students
are facilities available, mentors, departmental activities, perception of both staff and
students towards research, confidence etc. All the teacher education programmes must
emphasize to develop a research outlook among the teacher trainees irrespective of the
level of the programmes. It may be in the form of action research in B.Ed. or a
Dissertation in M.Ed. programme. In future it would help them in solving their
classroom related problems in specific and in serving the society in general.
