Dinosaur National Park and It s Geology
The mountains and rivers stretching between northern Utah and Colorado hold an array of secrets
from the ancient past. While the average tourist admiring the rocks, fossils, and and cliffs of Dinosaur
National Park may get the jist of the park, they may not comprehend the extent to what it takes for this
anomaly to form. Dinosaur National Park is mostly known for not just it s beauty, but for it s large
variety of dinosaur fossils. Even though fossils are found all over the world, this park is special due to
the conditions that the dinosaur fossils came to be in one location of its exquisite Carnegie Quarry. It
was around ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Its past occurrence is recognized by unusual patterns of drainage, changes in accumulating sediment,
and cyclic patterns of sediment deposition (Pederson 1).
( Figure 1. USGS National Geologic Map Database, Map of Dinosaur National Park) The park was
formed on a floodplain and there are many pieces of evidence pointing to this. Some of the most
stunning pieces of evidence are the red mudstones found in the area. This can be very brightly colored,
ranging from red, maroon, or reddish brown, and its banding in the outcrop is visible from a great
distance. The reddish color suggests better drainage and therefore, a drier, more oxidizing condition on
the floodplain (Marano 1). In addition to other traits of the sandstone, Morano explains These
sandstones can be used to determine the direction of flow , which would explain the why the
expansive colored sandstones are found extensively throughout the park (Marano 2). Most of the
fossils you will find will be in the channel sandstones because the dinosaurs were washed together
before being buried over, the Carnegie Quarry is an excellent example of this. The Morrison formation
overall is considered one of the best spots in the world for finding dinosaur fossils due to the fact it
was subject to the perfect environment for creating fossils. This was a final destination for thousands
of dinosaur fossils and many more that have yet been excavated.

Analysis of Dostoevsky´s Crime and Punishment Essay example
In Dostoevsky s Crime and Punishment, the murder of the pawnbroker bears little significance when
compared to the punishment that Raskolnikov endures. The murder is the direct result of Raskolnikov
s Ubermensch theory. Though it takes a while for Raskolnikov to realize the profound mistake in his
theory and in his logic, his tedious yet prolific journey eventually leads him to redemption. Suffering,
guilt and societal alienation prompt Raskolnikov to reject his Ubermensch theory and ultimately
achieve redemption. Through Raskolnikov s character, Dostoevsky reveals that the psychological
punishment inflicted by an unethical action is more effective in leading to self realization than any
physical punishment.
Raskolnikov s internal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore Amoia notes that, as the implications of the deed unfold in his conscience, Raskolnikov
attempts to jusitfy his actions as a rational crime (53). Though he understands that he will be able to
escape the physical punishement for the crime, he has yet to comprehend the burden that comes with
such an unethical action. Even when Porfiry suggests that the criminal who murdered the pawnbroker
may run away but, psychologically he won t escape (287), Raskolnikov becomes infuriated and
accuses Porfiry of trying to scare him. However, Raskolnikov fails to understand the meaning behind
Porfiry s words perhaps because he still chooses not to rely on his conscience and confess to the
crime. While the superiority complex sets him apart from the society in the beginning, his piercing
conscience distances him from people later on in the novel. He refuses to speak to Razumuikhin or to
his family. It only before he goes to jail, that he decides to see his mother. Even when he does so, he is
relieved that Dunya is not in the room. He later admits to Dunya that he doesn t, even remember why
[I] even went to meet his mother. His conscience does not allow him to face his loved ones and
eventually, he tries to isolate himself from society. While Raskolnikov tries to alienate himself from
his own conscience, he is alienating himself from humanity in general.
Raskolnikov s suffering due to guilt causes him to reject his

Fujimori s Corruption Of Democracy As A Presidential Republic
Presidential Republic Peru has undergone a significant shift in politics and has recently returned to
democracy. Today, Peru is a presidential republic with more significant levels of horizontal and
vertical accountability (Central Intelligence Agency, 2017). Peru s current president is Pedro Pablo
Kuczynski, who was elected to office in 2016 and will finish his term in 2021 (U.S. Department of
State, 2017). However, Peru s adoption of democracy is a recent event. According to Vergara and
Watanabe (2016), the first fifteen years of the twenty first century were arguably the most democratic
in Peru s history (p. 148). Prior to Peru s recent adoption of democracy, Peru was ruled by the
authoritarian president Alberto Fujimori (Vergara ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A group known as the technocrats, which is politically insulated, has been given credit for efficiently
managing the economy of Peru (Vergara Watanabe, 2016). Many of Peru s political parties are in a
rebuilding phase and there is no single party with a major influence in the region. For example, in the
most recent election Fuerza Popular gained 36.34 percent of the vote and retained 71 of the 130
congressional seats (Central Intelligence Agency, 2017). According to Vergara and Encinas (2016),
Peru s political class tends to be weak and political parties do not receive a significant percentage of
the vote; elected authorities have short tenures; and political vehicles and their leaders are
disconnected from social bases (p. 159). Legal Forces The civil law legal system instituted by the
Fujimori administration in 1993 remains in place (Vergara Encinas, 2016). Peru s legal system consist
of a supreme court and a variety of subordinate courts. As a presidential republic, Peru s Supreme
Court consists of 16 judges, which are further subdivided into civil, criminal, and constitutional
district courts (Central Intelligence Agency, 2017). Supreme Court justices are nominated by the
president and confirmed by congress in a similar fashion as the U.S. Supreme Court s justices. Each
Supreme Court justice is appointed for life or until they reach the age of 70 (Central Intelligence
Agency, 2017). Peru s subordinate courts consist of the Court of

The Physics Of Magnetic Field
When a wire with current flowing through it, is placed in a magnetic field a force is placed on the
wire: this is the motor principle and this is the principle behind the loud speaker. Hello, My name is
Michael Trevorrow and you will be learning about the loud speaker and electromagnetism.
But first, if you want to understand the loud speaker you have to understand electromagnetism. Well
electromagnetism is simply the phenomenon of the interaction of electric currents or fields and
magnetic fields . This will become clearer later. All right the loud speaker we all know what they look
like, but we don t know how they work. When things shake or vibrate, they produce a sound. If a coil
is wrapped around a magnet, the coil now becomes an ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The formula for a solenoid is B=u0nl, where n is the number of coils and I is the current. Being able to
show the strength, will show the loudness because the current flow alters the frequency and altering
the current flow will make the solenoid field larger.
Coils and changing direction
A conductor, copper, is tightly wrapped around a magnet to make a magnetic field. But how does this
create sound? The coil has a current flowing through it the coil moves and the polar orientation
reverses. When this is reversed it allows the magnetic forces between the coil and this allows the coil
to move up and down the magnet, which creates sound. The magnetic field can be increased by
putting more coils around the magnetic which leads to larger sound.
Current
Current is the driving force which causes the diaphragm acceleration. Current is a flow of electricity
which results from the ordered directional movement of electrically charged particles. In simple terms
current is the flow of electricity throughout the coil. Current is how we can change the frequency or
sound pitch of the speaker, by altering voltage it will change the current. Now we know what happens
inside a speaker, lets have a look at the magnets involved. Electromagnet (coil

Gender Roles In Middlemarch
The Portrayal of the Relationship between the Sexes in George Eliot s Middlemarch
George Eliot s epic Victorian novel Middlemarch is a fascinating study into the lives, characters and
connections of the residents of a fictional provincial midlands town. It deals with the constraints of
everyday life, the struggles both external and internal experienced by the very realistically drawn
characters and how they act and react to them. It is set during the period of the early 1830 s, a critical
juncture historically when Britain was on the cusp of change politically, industrially, technologically
and economically. Middlemarch candidly portrays the evolving stark contrasts between the male and
female protagonists in the novel and the particular roles ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While her female characters are mainly strong women they all display a large level of compliance to
the will of their menfolk. Women in the nineteenth century were financially, intellectually and
emotionally dependent upon their male kin (Gleadle, 2001, 51). They were expected to provide
unstinting support for the head of the house, i.e. the man. Women did not have a formal role in
Victorian society and were legally subject to their husbands in all things but Eliot in Middlemarch
manages to imbue her female protagonists with a sense of stoicism that renders them a force to be
reckoned with, especially if their marriages are under any threat. Robert McCrum in The Guardian
described it thus Middlemarch looms above the mid Victorian literary landscape like a cathedral of
words in whose vastness its readers can find every kind of addictive discomfort, a sequence of raw
truths: the loneliness of the disappointed failure in Dr Lydgate, the frustrations of his discontented
wife, Rosamond, and the humiliation of a good woman in

Computer And Network Security Incidents
Purpose Computer and network security incidents have become a fact of life for most organizations
that provide networked information technology resources including connectivity with the global
Internet. Current methods of dealing with such incidents are at best piecemeal relying on luck, varying
working practices, good will and unofficial support from a few individuals normally engaged in
central network or systems support. This approach undoubtedly leads to inefficiencies and associated
problems with respect to: * Duplicated effort * Inappropriate actions * Poor co ordination * Confusion

Everyman Allegory
Everyman is a morality play that teaches a lesson about how Christians should live and what they
must do to save their souls. Humans over look God s mercy. Caught up with the pleasures of life and
the pursuit of material possessions, people forget to repent, or even acknowledge the Lord to receive
forgiveness for their sins, which He is every ready to give. God calls attention to this near the
beginning of the play. No human being can escape the final judgment. God tells Death that the day
will come when every person must undergo a final journey and give an accounting of his life before
the Lord. No man can escape this task; every person will face a day of reckoning. Everyman begins to
show traits that almost all if not every human has. He looks for someone to complain to on his long
journey. Everyman also tries to bring his riches and goods along with him. The farther he goes along
on his trip he begins to lose his 5 senses the only things that he has known for basically all of his life.
All these factors tie into the allegory stating that Everyman actually does represent every man. ...

For example the character Fellowship establishes the idea of friendship and having others besides
family with you. This was one of the very first things to leave him on his journey. Goods represents
his materialistic objects that he has in his possession and Everyman later realizes that they also cannot
follow him on his trip. The Five Wits represent his five senses such as touch, taste, and smell. The
farther that he gets these five senses slowly begin to leave him. As I stated above even the main
character Everyman represents all of the humans. Good Deeds is the only character out of all to stay
with him on the entire journey. This character depicts all the good things he has done in the world and

Jim Steward Made History That Changed Memphis For A Lifetime
Got Soul? In 1975, Jim Steward made history that changed Memphis for a lifetime. He discovered a
small movie theater that later expanded to the biggest recording studio in the city. Quickly Stewart
realized that he had nothing. He had no funds, no equipment, or artist. But, to the rescue comes his
sister, Estelle Axton. For the simple fact that she was a bank clerk he confided in her for help. She
mortgaged her house for a while to buy better equipment for the new recording studio. Then in an
instance, the new recording studio was growing more and more each day. Satellite Record started out
as a mixture of country, gospel, and southern styles.
The different genres recorded at the recording studio is what made it widely important. After a lot of
time and effort a recording was finally made in the old movie theater that was transformed to Satellite
Records. The semi new recording studio gained status around Memphis that allowed them a partner
deal with Atlantic Records in no time. After accepting the deal, Satellite Records was definitely put in
the spot light. Jim Stewart and his sister Estelle Axton later changed the company s name to Stax,
which was a combination of the first letters in their last names.
Stax Records wanted to give everyone in the city changes to prove their musical abilities, so they
developed an open door policy that soon attracted a mixture African American and Caucasian R B
artist. Stax began growing a very diverse population of musicians which

The Culture Of A Grocery Store
When entering a grocery store, most people don t take the time to stop and observe their surroundings,
for their soul purpose at that instant is to purchase what very food they may need for that day or
maybe even for that week. However, through all the haste of wanting to go in and out of grocery
stores as fast as one can, most are unaware of the very culture that they too are now apart of, the
interactions, both verbal and through people s body language that they are experiencing, how people
look and dress, even what is considered appropriate behavior although not specifically written down.
Culture is all around us, and we all contribute to it, whether it is through our norms, values, symbols,
or mental maps of reality (Guest 2014, 38 43). That is why through this assignment, I took the time to
observe the culture experienced in the American grocery store Stater Brothers, the ethnical Filipino
grocery store Seafood City, while also taking the time to reflect on my own personal views of what I
thought was normal through my experience working in Northgate Gonzalez Market, a Mexican
grocery store for three years. I started off observing State Brothers, taking a few minutes to watch who
entered, what type of person, if they were young, old, if they entered in groups, alone, in couples, with
children, and their appearances. What I found was that for the most part most of the people who
entered were either college aged adults, or elderly mostly female customers, there were a

Steven Spielberg And Schindler s List Comparison
Can t I Be Both?
The career of Steven Spielberg has been vast. Spanning five decades, he has crossed genres with more
success than most of his contemporaries. In the grand scheme of cinema I believe that those who are
drawn to his masterful work can be categorized into two groups. This partition between the two
revolves around his seminal classic Schindler s List and separates his career into two parts. While his
films, early and recent alike, follow common themes; there is also a subtle divide. These themes
ranging from the lost boy to obsessions to family issues have been orchestrated throughout the
majority of his films. For the purpose of this essay let s call them Pre 93 and Post 93: the former being
prior to 1993 and Schindler s List, the latter being everything 1993 and on. The aforementioned
themes, along with significant moments within the director s personal life, paint a picture of a man
evolving within his work.
Obsession is defined as an idea or thought that continually preoccupies or intrudes on a person s mind.

After you have done these three steps you are ready for your first flying experience. But first you need
to find a good safe place for at leas the first flight.
What Is The Best Place For The First Flight?
It only makes sense that you find a wide open place for your first test flight. A places free from trees,
people, buildings, ext.
And rather you are a beginner or professional quad flyer you should always stay clear of things like
transformers, cellphone towers and any kind of power lines. All of these things and a few others could
interfere with the aircraft s transmission signal and cause it to malfunction or even crash. Try to pick a
calm day for your first flight with little or no wind.
Pr Takeoff Flight Checks
Okay now that you have your aircraft out of the box and ready to fly with battery charged and
properly mounted on the aircraft. Now it s time to do a pr takeoff check.
It s very important to be sure the aircraft and remote controller batteries are installed properly and is

Imports are goods that are brought in from a foreign country to sell here. The people or firms import
goods are usually manufacturers that produce apparel in another country, and wholesalers and retailers
acting as importers. Retailers want to give their customers the best quality products at the lowest
prices. Therefore, ever increasing amounts of textiles, apparel, and accessories are being imported into
the United States and the European Union (EU) because of the availability of cheaper labor in low
wage countries. American and European manufacturers compete with labor rates of 69 cents per hour
in parts of China and 60 cents or less in India. Traditionally, imports were fashion merchandise
designed and produced by foreign designers and manufacturers and purchased by domestic retailers at
international markets. The United States has long imported fashion from Paris, woolens in the British
Isles, sweaters from Scandinavia, and leather goods from Italy. Currently, the European Economic
Community, followed by the United States, is the largest importer of consumer apparel in the world.
Manufacturers source the best fabrics available at low cost to make into garments. U.S. textile and
apparel imports increased from $10 billion in 1982 to $96 billion in 2006. This corresponds to the
enormous growth of the textile industries of China, Korea, Taiwan, and India. One reason for this is
that U.S. manufacturers contracting production overseas tend to use fabrics from

Salinger s Influence On His Contributions
Salinger had a fairly typical childhood growing up in the 1920s. He was born on January 1, 1919 to
Sol Salinger and Marie Jillisch (McGrath). Born in New York City, he spent most of his childhood
there (Telgen 117). When he was growing up, academic excellence was not one of Salinger s priorities
(117). After failing several prep schools, he finally graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy in
Pennsylvania (117). Yet, with an IQ of 115, he never did finish his post secondary education (Hipple
106; Miller 551). In 1937, Salinger traveled to Austria and Poland to learn his father s business, but he
was dissatisfied with it and returned to America (McGrath). Although unremarkable, his childhood did
impact his literary contributions. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
D. Salinger also contributed other short compositions. He officially began his writing career when he
took a short story course at Columbia University, where he had an opportunity in publish in Story
magazine (Telgen 117). After that, his literary career became increasingly more popular, appearing in
numerous magazines (117). However, several of Salinger s stories from the 1940s have never been
republished because he refused such republications (117). He published Nine Stories, Franny and
Zooey, Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters, and Seymour: An Introduction, and Hapworth 16,
1924 in 1953, 1961, 1963, and 1965 respectively (McGrath; Miller 552). Salinger is recognized for his
vivid depiction of young Americans during the post WWII era as they are searching for their future
(Mulligan 351). Despite his limited collection, Salinger is arguably one of the most popular American
authors of the 20th century.
Published in 1951, The Catcher in the Rye faced major criticisms for its controversial depiction of
teenage angst. After WWII ended, the US emerged as the most powerful nation in the world, with 30

Creating A Distributed Operating Systems That Support...
Abstract IT industry being one of the major development areas, many people choose their career in it.
To support all range of industries i.e., from small scale to large scale, cloud computing emerged which
reduces the efforts both physically and with regard to capital investment. Depending on the length of
work that one would like to choose with, cloud computing offers four types of delivery models
namely, public cloud , private cloud , community cloud and hybrid cloud . User is also free to choose
the amount of control one would like to have on their data that is stored in the cloud. The cloud
providers offer three types of services which give users different types of permissions. More
permissions the user hold, the more control and privacy obtained on the data. The data being shared
among the open space is less secured. Cloud computing involving different technologies like
networks, databases, operating systems and many other, has enormous security issues. In perspective
to the designing of a distributed operating systems that support cloud computing, resource scheduling,
transaction management, load balancing, concurrency control, memory management are some of the
major issues that are to be considered. Scalability, loss of data, performance also stand as the other
major concerns due to the heavy growth of organizations which are using the cloud. This paper
discusses about the several mechanisms that are to be undertaken to improve the functionality of the

Burma used to be a military dictatorship country for several years. The military dictatorship system
was initially led by General Ne Win, who ruled the country with brutality since 1962. In 1974, the

and police forces also began to support the protestors (The protests of 8888 ). Using excessive brutal

between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. in order to answer questions, process requests, and solve any issues that
may arrive with shipments or the product. My position is highly concentrated in email
correspondence; other positions within my department are primarily phone based. These types of
correspondences require people in the department to be accessible to answer the phones or emails and
also to provide information from or enter information into SAP. SAP requires the person to be
hardwired into Cooper s secure network. These two factors usually mean the person must be at the
office to perform the vital duties of the job. Jobs that are customer facing or jobs that require
personnel to be at a certain place at a certain time would not be ideal for ROWE. When performance is
based upon time and place ROWE type programs cannot be utilized. Departments that would be

Cindy Sherman s Work
From my observation, I can tell that Cindy Sherman works consists of self portraits that offer critiques
of gender and identity. Sherman s work interest me because she inserts herself into her art and
expresses her own portrayals of female stereotypes found in films, television, and advertising. In
Sherman s seminal series titled Untitled Film Stills I noticed that she examines and distorts femininity
as a social construct, and she often uses a large color scale in her photographs. Sherman s work puts
me in the mind of the circus, because many of her photographs consist of clowns, costume dress up,
and disfigured mannequins. I find her work to be far from mediocre, because her pieces stand out and
demand to be seen whether the photographers

The Ancestor s Tale By Richard Dawkins Essay
Thylacinus had stripes like a tiger, body like a dog, and a pouch like a kangaroo. They were
marsupials but behaved more like wolves than marsupials (which makes them an excellent example of
convergent evolution). They became extinct in Australia and New Guinea because of their
incompetence against the dingoes, an invasive species brought by the aboriginal men. Nevertheless,
some were left in Tasmania as the dingoes did not reach there, but died out soon after Europeans
arrived there.
Similar story includes the dodo s tale which is illustrated perfectly by Richard Dawkins in his book
The Ancestor s Tale: A Pilgrimage to the Dawn of Evolution When Portuguese sailors arrived on
Mauritius in 1507, the abundant dodos were completely tame, and approached the sailors in a manner
which cannot have been far from trusting . The unfortunate dodos were clubbed to death by
Portuguese, and later Dutch, sailors even though they were deemed unpalatable. Extinction took less
than two centuries. As so often, it came about through a combination of killing and more indirect
effects. Humans introduced dogs, pigs, rats, and religious refugees. The first three ate dodo eggs, and
the last planted sugar cane and destroyed habitats (Dawkins).
All the tales of these extinct species have one thing in common a species live in harmony in its home
until an invasive species destroy them, and humans are the antagonist in each story. The sick thing is

Luxury And The Privacy At A Self Catering Lodging
Whether or not you are an independent minded traveler, you will surely love the luxury and the
privacy at a self catering lodging. Unlike hotel accommodation choices, you will have the freedom to
check in and checkout at your convenience and preference. Plus, the opulent property will give you a
relaxing setting for your rejuvenation, inspiring touring opportunities and quick access to nearby
attractions. Villas definitely stand atop the list of a self catering lodging choice. However, it always
depends on what you expect from your holiday accommodation based on your needs and budget. In
this article, you will find a brief comparison of both the lodging options and the value of each.
Hotel holidays:
There are close to endless choices of hotels, including both budget and high end ones at each
destination worldwide. That means finding one for your holiday lodging will never be a hassle. This is
one of the few reasons why people choose a hotel for their holiday stay. Another plus point is that
hotels offer many services without any extra cost. You can get your room cleaned, launder your
clothes, and order room service. Plus, the on site restaurants offer enticing menu choices so that each
guest can enjoy some hearty meals during their stay. If your idea of a perfect vacation sounds like this,
then a hotel stay might be the best option for you. But in the other hand, hotel rooms can be very
limiting and expensive. For a spacious opulent suite, you will end up paying a lot.

Although this may not be a conventional example of being sustainable, I believe that by addressing
this problem now and not allowing it to fester for future generations to deal with was a very
sustainable move.
Safety issue that would have surrounded this project in the planning process would have included
ensuring that the shape of the tracks of some rides and the speeds at which the ride goes at would be
sufficient and also not too fast to ensure the safety of the passengers, especially with the Seven
Dwarves Mine Train which involves rocking carts, the first roller coaster of its kind. Careful
calculations and many models, both computer and physical, should have been done to ensure that
these are safe for all passengers. Safety issues when actually constructing the project would have
included making certain that visitors to the park were kept away from the construction site, as the park
was fully open during the construction period. So long as tall, appropriate barriers were placed around
the site, this should have been fine.
One of the decisions made when building New Fantasyland was the decision to demolish some
attractions to make way for others.
Some attractions, though popular, were demolished altogether, including:

July is often remembered as a month that Americans celebrate their freedom from British, but for

The poem, Daddy , by Sylvia Plath, made the reader feel the hatred and bitterness the speaker felt
towards her father. This poem could also be used to let the speaker find peace and finally let go of all
the emotional torment her father may have caused her before his death. Throughout the poem, she
used a complex combination of imagery and figurative language to describe how she felt towards her
father when she realized who he really was a brute man with no heart. Plath uses imagery throughout
this poem to convey the severity of the wrongdoings she had experienced in her life. For example, in
line 56, she says, Bit my pretty red heart in two, which appeals to the sense of sight. This part is found

Psychological Theories On Dreaming
Theories on dreaming
While researching my topic on dreaming i found out that there isn t a true answer on why we dream.
No one has really understood why we dream and the meaning, reasoning behind it. What i did find out
is that there are a lot of theories on why we dream. My research paper is going to explain 3 main
theories on dreaming and my conclusion will be my own theory on dreaming with the research that i
have gathered throughout this project. I want to help people understand that dreaming is deeper than
just a scientific answer and they have a real meaning and guidance. Sigmund Freud s theory of dreams
suggested that dreams represented unconscious desires, thoughts, and motivations. According to Freud

Also i learned that working memory is the part of our memory system allows us to keep information
in consciousness either because you are learning something for the first time or trying to recall
something you learned in the past. With all the information so far that i have gained from these
theories ad from my expert i came up with my own theory. I believe that our dreams are something
very personal. Eventho we have very similar dreams they mean different things. Personally i have had
dreams and have actually learned from them in the past, or they give me a sign. For an example a
dream of a plane crash would more likely to affect travel plans than either thinking about a crash, and
the dream of a plane crash produced a similar level of anxiety as did an actual crash. Or for an
example of how a dream has taught me something would be this dream I frequently dream of my
Nana who passed away a few years ago. In one of these , we are at our old house where we are talking
and suddenly that part of my brain which knows that she is no more here try s to tell me the same. I
wait for her to disappear or something but she doesn t. She is still there with me.When you know
something is supposed to happen and it will soon;then maybe you should spend the present in
enjoying the now as it is; instead of waiting for that something to happen. Once the time passes , you
won t be able to get back to that time. Spending every moment happily is better than waiting for the
happy moments to come. This is how dreams teach you lesson and also can give you signs. Dreaming
can help understand a past experience better and it can resolve problems. Dreams are whatever YOU
personally make them out to be but they do have meaning. Our brains are very powerful,

Like Water For Chocolate by Laura Esquivel Essay
The excerpt from Like Water for Chocolate, by Laura Esquivel exposes the uncanny scenario of
Rosaura and Pedro s wedding, and the sudden nostalgia everyone is revealing. The connection of
food, and the role of the Mexican revolution is depicted in this excerpt, and the use of intense emotion
and sorrow is used to create a dismal atmosphere filled with loss and loneliness. Esquivel uses Tita s
culinary skills and her deep affection towards Pedro as a technique to emphasize the effect it has on
the secondary characters in the novel. The overall depiction of the novel is effected by Tita s culinary
skills; each month represents the emotion she is currently feeling. This particular excerpt illustrates the

This is also viewed as a pathetic fallacy, where Tita s mood and eternal sadness towards the marriage
of Rosaura to the love of her life, Pedro, affects the guests in the wedding who were wailing over a
lost love. (39) The role of food and culinary skills is evident in the excerpt and can be connected to the
overall theme of the novel. Esquivel relates food to the mood Tita is currently facing. Tita s sorrow
and hopeless love affects her cooking techniques and creates a cake that ironically is supposed to
represent and symbolize love and the devotion of marriage, instead it contradicts the traditional
aspects of marriage and does the complete opposite; it creates a turmoil atmosphere. Due to Tita s
bond with cooking, her emotions plays a significant role in her dishes, and also affects the people
around her; whatever mood Tita is feeling, people feel it too. The weeping (39) of the guests at the
wedding is triggered by the piece of cake they ate, Tita s tear symbolizes dreadfulness and failure to be
with her true love. In a way, Tita indirectly seeks vengeance against her mother, Mama Elena, and
Rosaura, for agreeing to the wedding. Tita s tears where a way of releasing the gloominess from her
soul, and allowing it to flow to other people s hearts. Rosaura states that Tita did add something to the
cake. (40) Rosaura s materialistic and shallow character doesn t

Corporate Social Responsibility And Sustainability
Introduction
This article is study of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability. It mainly speaks
about the origin and the operations of CSR programs in the United States of America from the 1980 s.
One of the most dominating concepts of business reporting is Corporate Social Responsibility. It has
become mandatory for every business to include a policy with regards to CSR and produce a detailed
report with regards to its activities. CSR can be defined as the relationship between a corporate
company and the society in which the company operates. The concept of CSR became famous during
the late 1960 s and since then it has helped corporations to sustain itself in the market.
CSR plays a very important role in the sustainability of every department in the corporation including
marketing and management. Corporations are very particular in maintaining a sustainable corporate
socially responsible environment. While marketing a product they make sure that they endorse it in
the right way as it is the responsibility of the company to provide the right facts of the product to the

It has been over 15 years now since I first started using and studying the applications for herbal and
homeopathic medicine. It wasn t that I was against conventional medicine (and still am not). It was
more a blend of curiosity, necessity, and safety, with a dash of family influence thrown in for good
measure that drove me in the direction of natural herbal and homeopathic health.
I always thought that over time practitioners of western medicine would eventually see the advantages
of herbal and homeopathic medicine while becoming more aware of the risks involved with
pharmaceutical medications. These realizations would in turn lead to more moderate approach to
prescription pharmaceuticals and open the door for a handful of proven herbal and homeopathic
remedies.
But I fear that the pendulum is swinging in the other direction with those practicing medicine, with an
emphasis on treating disease with pharmaceutical drugs, becoming even more resistant to the idea. It

p.76, par.5) Without a guarantee of reality, maybe all of his previous beliefs are false. Descartes doubts
the supreme goodness of a God that would let him be deceived even occasionally. Moreover, if a
perfect God does not exist then it becomes probable that Descartes himself is increasingly imperfect
and therefore is constantly being misled. If, however, it is contrary to His goodness to have made me
such that I constantly deceive myself, it would also appear contrary to His goodness to permit me to
be sometimes deceived, and nevertheless I cannot doubt that he does permit this. (Descartes, p.76,
par.5) Descartes assumes the scenario that God is really an evil demon . I will suppose therefore that
not God, who is supremely good and the source of truth, but rather some malicious demon of the
utmost power and cunning has employed all his energies in order to deceive me. I shall think the sky,
the air, the earth, colours, shapes, sounds and all external things are merely the delusions of dreams,
which he has devised to ensnare my

Textron Corporation
Summary This study covers the analyses of the TEXTRON CORPORATION BENCHMARKING
PERFORMANCE Textron s Board of Directors (Thundersbird School of Global Management,
Graeme Rankine TB0043, September 9,2009) had launched a new initiative to assess the company s
supply chain and the company s working capital needs. First step was to benchmark the company s
recent financial performance against other aerospace and defense firms to determine the areas in
which the company s performance could be improved. Top management was particularly interested in
understanding the company s sizeable investments in net working capital. Ms. Amphlett, a financial
analyst in the Textron Corporation, soon found that Textron s recent stock price performance ... Show

Royal Little founded the Special Yarns Corporation in Boston, Massachusetts. During World War II,
the company, operating as Atlantic Rayon Corporation, found a ready market producing parachutes.
In 1943, with World War II government contracts dwindling, Royal Little, faced with the challenge of
declining revenue and underutilized production capacity, developed a vertically integrated company
that controlled every operational aspect of the business from raw goods processing to distribution. He
moved beyond making parachutes to making lingerie, blouses, bed linens, and other consumer goods
under the brand name Textron.
Textron was listed on the New York Stock Exchange on December 22, 1947, and by 1949, Textron s
sales had reached $67.8 million.
During the 1960s and 1970s, Textron acquired consumer businesses such as Speidel, maker of
watchbands; Sheaffer Pen; staple and nafl gun maker Bostich; and Rhode Island silver company
Gorham. During this period, Textron was known as one of the most highly diversified corporations in
the U.S.

America And The War On Terrorism
America and the War on Terrorism The War on Terror began from the attacks on the World Trade
Center in New York City, New York, the Pentagon in Washington D.C., and in Pennsylvania on
September 11, 2001 (9/11). The current president at the time was newly elected President George W.
Bush in which he gave a speech announcing the infamous War on Terror . This an on going war and its
effects are being felt today. Before knowing what the Global War on Terror looks like, it is necessary
to define the term terrorism. Terrorism, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in this case
international terrorism, is defined as the following: acts that are dangerous to human life, are
intentional in order for the government or the people to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As stated by President Bush, while addressing the nation post 9/11, he explained that the, enemies of
freedom committed an act of war against our country , that this was not simply an act of aggression
rather an act of war, and so the war on terror became a reality. He later proceeds by explaining that the
War on Terror will not be waged against a country but instead it will be waged against the individual
groups regardless of their location; the United States respects the people of Afghanistan...but we
condemn the Taliban regime ( Bush Addresses the Nation). Our war on terror begins with al Qaeda,
but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found,
stopped, and defeated , and so the war began (Bush Addresses the Nation).
The United States of America currently has a list of known, and recognized, terrorist groups, however,
the War on Terror is primarily dealing with the known terrorist groups in the Middle East where al
Qaeda is located (Foreign Terrorist Organizations). Conducting war against terrorist groups is quite
quarrelsome as they do not wear standard uniform and often dress in regular civilian clothing because
they are not affiliated with their nation s armed forces. This is what makes fighting the terrorist groups
difficult and why it has lasted for more than 14 years. Another reason fighting these groups is difficult
is because the Taliban who harbored al Qaeda were

Kurt Vonnegut as Social Critic Essay
Kurt Vonnegut as Social Critic
Those who write on the human condition are often philosophers who write with convoluted language
that few can understand. Kurt Vonnegut, however, focuses on the same questions, and provides his
own personal answers with as much depth as that of the must educated philosopher. He avoids stilted
language typical of philosophers, using shorter sentences, less complex vocabulary, humorous
tangents, and outrageous stories to get his point across. With this style, Vonnegut presents the age old
question How do we as humans live in this world? in a manner appealing and understandable to the
less educated mass. When offering advice to writers on how to write, Vonnegut said, Our audience
requires us ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In Timequake, Vonnegut calls World War II civilization s second unsuccessful attempt to commit
suicide (11). In his novel, Galapagos, he creates a war that ends life on Earth with the exception of a
few who escape on a cruise ship headed for the Galapagos Islands. He points out the ability man
currently has to end our existence on this planet. In Timequake, Vonnegut said, I had to add, though,
that I knew a single word that proved our democratic government was capable of committing obscene,
gleefully rabid and racist, yahooistic murders of unarmed men, women, and children, murders wholly
devoid of military common sense. I said the word. It was a foreign word. That word was Nagasaki
(196). Although nobody truly deserves to die because of war, the dropping of the second atomic bomb
killed civilians who had done nothing to deserve their fate. America had already proved it had the
power to destroy large masses of humans, yet out of cruelty, decided to drop the second a couple of
days later. Vonnegut said, the people in a country called Germany were so full of bad chemicals for a
while that they actually built factories whose only purpose was to kill people by the millions. The
people were delivered by railroad train (Breakfast of Champions, p.137). War is hate.
In Galapagos, Vonnegut s new species, which is the product

Pakistan Is A Complex Country
Pakistan is a complex country, both because of harsh physical terrain and because of a historical
unpredictable government. Pakistan is constantly in the news, and a topic of discussion in The United
States. Many of the fighters the American forces are fighting in Afghanistan come from Pakistan, or at
least find a safe haven in the mountains of western Pakistan. In addition, Pakistan is a nuclear armed
country that has a shaky government at best. I find it fascinating that a country that has a government
with such a sporadic history filled with attempts to overthrow it and coups maintain a nuclear arsenal.
How was this possible? I know that the United States and its allies put much effort into keeping
countries such as Iran and North Korea from attaining nuclear weapons. What was going on during the
development of Pakistan s nuclear program? While Pakistan is an ally of the United States, in the
region that Pakistan is located that could change quickly. In addition, I feel that you must prove that
you are a stable country and society before you are permitted to possess such powerful weapons.
Pakistan provides a very interesting topic of discussion that some people may not be aware. The two
reasons listed above are the main reason I chose to write about Pakistan, knowing little else about the
country, but through my research, I found that there is more to Pakistan than just those two areas,
beginning with how the country initially formed. Pakistan formed on

Dinosaur National Park And It s Geology Marcus Isaac Harris Dr. EchoHawk Physical Geology 1010 October 31, 2015 Dinosaur National Park and It s Geology The mountains and rivers stretching between northern Utah and Colorado hold an array of secrets from the ancient past. While the average tourist admiring the rocks, fossils, and and cliffs of Dinosaur National Park may get the jist of the park, they may not comprehend the extent to what it takes for this anomaly to form. Dinosaur National Park is mostly known for not just it s beauty, but for it s large variety of dinosaur fossils. Even though fossils are found all over the world, this park is special due to the conditions that the dinosaur fossils came to be in one location of its exquisite Carnegie Quarry. It was around ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Its past occurrence is recognized by unusual patterns of drainage, changes in accumulating sediment, and cyclic patterns of sediment deposition (Pederson 1). ( Figure 1. USGS National Geologic Map Database, Map of Dinosaur National Park) The park was formed on a floodplain and there are many pieces of evidence pointing to this. Some of the most stunning pieces of evidence are the red mudstones found in the area. This can be very brightly colored, ranging from red, maroon, or reddish brown, and its banding in the outcrop is visible from a great distance. The reddish color suggests better drainage and therefore, a drier, more oxidizing condition on the floodplain (Marano 1). In addition to other traits of the sandstone, Morano explains These sandstones can be used to determine the direction of flow , which would explain the why the expansive colored sandstones are found extensively throughout the park (Marano 2). Most of the fossils you will find will be in the channel sandstones because the dinosaurs were washed together before being buried over, the Carnegie Quarry is an excellent example of this. The Morrison formation overall is considered one of the best spots in the world for finding dinosaur fossils due to the fact it was subject to the perfect environment for creating fossils. This was a final destination for thousands of dinosaur fossils and many more that have yet been excavated. One of the best places to find ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Analysis of Dostoevsky´s Crime and Punishment Essay example In Dostoevsky s Crime and Punishment, the murder of the pawnbroker bears little significance when compared to the punishment that Raskolnikov endures. The murder is the direct result of Raskolnikov s Ubermensch theory. Though it takes a while for Raskolnikov to realize the profound mistake in his theory and in his logic, his tedious yet prolific journey eventually leads him to redemption. Suffering, guilt and societal alienation prompt Raskolnikov to reject his Ubermensch theory and ultimately achieve redemption. Through Raskolnikov s character, Dostoevsky reveals that the psychological punishment inflicted by an unethical action is more effective in leading to self realization than any physical punishment. Though he understands that he will be able to escape the physical punishement for the crime, he has yet to comprehend the burden that comes with such an unethical action. Even when Porfiry suggests that the criminal who murdered the pawnbroker may run away but, psychologically he won t escape (287), Raskolnikov becomes infuriated and accuses Porfiry of trying to scare him. However, Raskolnikov fails to understand the meaning behind Porfiry s words perhaps because he still chooses not to rely on his conscience and confess to the crime. While the superiority complex sets him apart from the society in the beginning, his piercing conscience distances him from people later on in the novel. He refuses to speak to Razumuikhin or to his family. It only before he goes to jail, that he decides to see his mother. Even when he does so, he is relieved that Dunya is not in the room. He later admits to Dunya that he doesn t, even remember why [I] even went to meet his mother. His conscience does not allow him to face his loved ones and eventually, he tries to isolate himself from society. The Physics Of Magnetic Field When a wire with current flowing through it, is placed in a magnetic field a force is placed on the wire: this is the motor principle and this is the principle behind the loud speaker. Hello, My name is Michael Trevorrow and you will be learning about the loud speaker and electromagnetism. But first, if you want to understand the loud speaker you have to understand electromagnetism. Well electromagnetism is simply the phenomenon of the interaction of electric currents or fields and magnetic fields . This will become clearer later. All right the loud speaker we all know what they look like, but we don t know how they work. When things shake or vibrate, they produce a sound. Being able to show the strength, will show the loudness because the current flow alters the frequency and altering the current flow will make the solenoid field larger. Coils and changing direction A conductor, copper, is tightly wrapped around a magnet to make a magnetic field. But how does this create sound? The coil has a current flowing through it the coil moves and the polar orientation reverses. When this is reversed it allows the magnetic forces between the coil and this allows the coil to move up and down the magnet, which creates sound. The magnetic field can be increased by putting more coils around the magnetic which leads to larger sound. Current Current is the driving force which causes the diaphragm acceleration. Current is a flow of electricity which results from the ordered directional movement of electrically charged particles. In simple terms current is the flow of electricity throughout the coil. Current is how we can change the frequency or sound pitch of the speaker, by altering voltage it will change the current. Now we know what happens inside a speaker, lets have a look at the magnets involved. Caught up with the pleasures of life and the pursuit of material possessions, people forget to repent, or even acknowledge the Lord to receive forgiveness for their sins, which He is every ready to give. Therefore, ever increasing amounts of textiles, apparel, and accessories are being imported into the United States and the European Union (EU) because of the availability of cheaper labor in low wage countries. American and European manufacturers compete with labor rates of 69 cents per hour in parts of China and 60 cents or less in India. In Sherman s seminal series titled Untitled Film Stills I noticed that she examines and distorts femininity as a social construct, and she often uses a large color scale in her photographs. Sherman s work puts me in the mind of the circus, because many of her photographs consist of clowns, costume dress up, and disfigured mannequins. I find her work to be far from mediocre, because her pieces stand out and demand to be seen whether the photographers ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 21. The Ancestor s Tale By Richard Dawkins Essay Thylacinus had stripes like a tiger, body like a dog, and a pouch like a kangaroo. They were marsupials but behaved more like wolves than marsupials (which makes them an excellent example of convergent evolution). They became extinct in Australia and New Guinea because of their incompetence against the dingoes, an invasive species brought by the aboriginal men. Nevertheless, some were left in Tasmania as the dingoes did not reach there, but died out soon after Europeans arrived there. Similar story includes the dodo s tale which is illustrated perfectly by Richard Dawkins in his book The Ancestor s Tale: A Pilgrimage to the Dawn of Evolution When Portuguese sailors arrived on Mauritius in 1507, the abundant dodos were completely tame, and approached the sailors in a manner which cannot have been far from trusting . The unfortunate dodos were clubbed to death by Portuguese, and later Dutch, sailors even though they were deemed unpalatable. Extinction took less than two centuries. As so often, it came about through a combination of killing and more indirect effects. Humans introduced dogs, pigs, rats, and religious refugees. The first three ate dodo eggs, and the last planted sugar cane and destroyed habitats (Dawkins). All the tales of these extinct species have one thing in common a species live in harmony in its home until an invasive species destroy them, and humans are the antagonist in each story. Eventho we have very similar dreams they mean different things. Personally i have had dreams and have actually learned from them in the past, or they give me a sign. For an example a dream of a plane crash would more likely to affect travel plans than either thinking about a crash, and the dream of a plane crash produced a similar level of anxiety as did an actual crash. Once the time passes , you won t be able to get back to that time. Spending every moment happily is better than waiting for the happy moments to come. In the First Meditation, Descartes begins developing this foundation through the method of doubt. Textron was listed on the New York Stock Exchange on December 22, 1947, and by 1949, Textron s sales had reached $67.8 million. During the 1960s and 1970s, Textron acquired consumer businesses such as Speidel, maker of watchbands; Sheaffer Pen; staple and nafl gun maker Bostich; and Rhode Island silver company Gorham. During this period, Textron was known as one of the most highly diversified corporations in the U.S. _________________ * The S amp;P 500 is a free float capitalization weighted index published since 1957 of the prices of 500 large cap common stocks actively traded in the United States. The current president at the time was newly elected President George W. Bush in which he gave a speech announcing the infamous War on Terror . This an on going war and its effects are being felt today. Before knowing what the Global War on Terror looks like, it is necessary to define the term terrorism. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As stated by President Bush, while addressing the nation post 9/11, he explained that the, enemies of freedom committed an act of war against our country , that this was not simply an act of aggression rather an act of war, and so the war on terror became a reality. He later proceeds by explaining that the War on Terror will not be waged against a country but instead it will be waged against the individual groups regardless of their location; the United States respects the people of Afghanistan...but we condemn the Taliban regime ( Bush Addresses the Nation). Our war on terror begins with al Qaeda, but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped, and defeated , and so the war began (Bush Addresses the Nation). The United States of America currently has a list of known, and recognized, terrorist groups, however, the War on Terror is primarily dealing with the known terrorist groups in the Middle East where al Qaeda is located (Foreign Terrorist Organizations). Conducting war against terrorist groups is quite quarrelsome as they do not wear standard uniform and often dress in regular civilian clothing because they are not affiliated with their nation s armed forces. This is what makes fighting the terrorist groups difficult and why it has lasted for more than 14 years. Another reason fighting these groups is difficult is because the Taliban who harbored al Qaeda were ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 43. Kurt Vonnegut as Social Critic Essay Kurt Vonnegut as Social Critic Those who write on the human condition are often philosophers who write with convoluted language that few can understand. Kurt Vonnegut, however, focuses on the same questions, and provides his own personal answers with as much depth as that of the must educated philosopher. He avoids stilted language typical of philosophers, using shorter sentences, less complex vocabulary, humorous tangents, and outrageous stories to get his point across. With this style, Vonnegut presents the age old question How do we as humans live in this world? in a manner appealing and understandable to the less educated mass. When offering advice to writers on how to write, Vonnegut said, Our audience requires us ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In Timequake, Vonnegut calls World War II civilization s second unsuccessful attempt to commit suicide (11). In his novel, Galapagos, he creates a war that ends life on Earth with the exception of a few who escape on a cruise ship headed for the Galapagos Islands. He points out the ability man currently has to end our existence on this planet. In Timequake, Vonnegut said, I had to add, though, that I knew a single word that proved our democratic government was capable of committing obscene, gleefully rabid and racist, yahooistic murders of unarmed men, women, and children, murders wholly devoid of military common sense. I said the word. It was a foreign word. That word was Nagasaki (196). Although nobody truly deserves to die because of war, the dropping of the second atomic bomb killed civilians who had done nothing to deserve their fate. America had already proved it had the power to destroy large masses of humans, yet out of cruelty, decided to drop the second a couple of days later. Vonnegut said, the people in a country called Germany were so full of bad chemicals for a while that they actually built factories whose only purpose was to kill people by the millions. The people were delivered by railroad train (Breakfast of Champions, p.137). War is hate. In Galapagos, Vonnegut s new species, which is the product ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 44. Pakistan Is A Complex Country Pakistan is a complex country, both because of harsh physical terrain and because of a historical unpredictable government. Pakistan is constantly in the news, and a topic of discussion in The United States. Many of the fighters the American forces are fighting in Afghanistan come from Pakistan, or at least find a safe haven in the mountains of western Pakistan. In addition, Pakistan is a nuclear armed country that has a shaky government at best. I find it fascinating that a country that has a government with such a sporadic history filled with attempts to overthrow it and coups maintain a nuclear arsenal. How was this possible? I know that the United States and its allies put much effort into keeping countries such as Iran and North Korea from attaining nuclear weapons. What was going on during the development of Pakistan s nuclear program? While Pakistan is an ally of the United States, in the region that Pakistan is located that could change quickly. In addition, I feel that you must prove that you are a stable country and society before you are permitted to possess such powerful weapons. Pakistan provides a very interesting topic of discussion that some people may not be aware. The two reasons listed above are the main reason I chose to write about Pakistan, knowing little else about the country, but through my research, I found that there is more to Pakistan than just those two areas, beginning with how the country initially formed. Pakistan formed on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
