Who Is Responsible For Othello s Downfall
When one watches a play, they are catching a glimpse into the characters lives. They are catching a
narrow window of their existence. They do not know where they came from, what kind of experiences
they have had, or what may have influenced them over the course of their lives. The central
protagonist of Othello is none other than Othello himself, a man whose background ultimately shape
and dictate his life during the play. Shakespeare creates Othello s main objective to stay true to who he
is; a person that we are meant to infer is filled with duty, honor, trust, respect, nobility, and the desire
to do the right thing. If any of these listed attributes are awry in his life, or at fault among the people
he associates with, he is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Keep up your bright swords, for the dew will rust them./ Good signor, you shall more command with
years/ Than with your weapons. (I.ii.59 61). Othello makes the decision not to fight outright by
observing what is going on around him. First, the hour of this action is late at night, so chances are
something is amiss. Secondly, he recognizes these men as good people, what quarrel does he posses
with them? His ability to formulate this quick decision and take is a perfect example of the kind of
person Othello is. It unfortunately will contribute to his downfall in the end of the tragedy.
Othello s first completed objective prior to the start of the play is selecting a new lieutenant. In the
military, a lieutenant can better be known as the second in command of a general (roughly). Othello,
being the general, selects Cassio as his lieutenant. At this point, Iago discloses valuable characteristics
of Cassio, One Michael Cassio, A Florentine /.../That never set a squadron in the field,/ Nor the
division of battle knows/More than a spinster... (I.i.20 4). Iago clearly indicates that his own résumé is
far more fitting to that of a battlefield lieutenant, stating, And I, of whom his eyes had seen the
proof/At Rhodes, At Cyprus, and on other grounds/ He in good time must his Lieutenant be,/ And I
god bless the mark! his Moorship s Ancient. (I.i.28 34). For the readers and spectators of Othello, the

The Use Of Computers And Technology For Criminal...
Cybercrime is the use of computers and technology for criminal activities. Crimes that are committed
in the virtual realm encompass a wide category. Thanks to the easy availability and increasing
dependence on technology, cybercrimes are a fast growing criminal undertaking that is limitless in its
potential. With the fast pace advancements in technology, cybercriminals are evolving their methods
faster than law enforcement can advance theirs making it difficult to incriminate them. In addition, the
lack of a physical barrier, as well as the lack of an individual or corporation knowing they are victims,
makes it difficult to trace the criminals because no barrier is preventing attacks from occurring, or
isolating it to a local area, and because attacks do not cause physical or mental harm. However, with
research and resources, law enforcement has identified a common medium a cybercriminal uses to
commit crimes: crimeware, commonly known as computer viruses. When discussing cybercrime,
common terms that come to mind are viruses, hacking and online identity theft. All these three terms
share a common characteristic: they all require software. Hackers use software to plant viruses to steal
information. Crimeware is a subclass of [malware] (Emigh, 2006, p. 246) and is defined as a software
running without the consent of a victim for nefarious purposes. Crimeware is routinely used to commit
online identity theft. This is achieved typically through phishing, which (as its name

Developing countries can enlarge their markets by allowing firms exporting and achieving economies

1a. What are some of the actions you would take to conduct a Red Team assessment? According to the
book Penetration Testing, A hands on Introduction to Hacking (Weidman, 2014) , there are six phases
of the penetration testing process. The six phases are pre engagement interactions, intelligence
gathering, threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, exploitation, post exploitation and reporting. Pre
engagement During the pre engagement phase, I would interact and plan out the testing scenario with
the client. We would discuss their expectations, versus reality and their goals for performing the
pentest. Additionally, we would engage in discussions detailing the project scope to define
responsibilities of the red team and the responsibilities of the organization. As well, we would discuss
left and right boundaries regarding actions and reactions to situations that may occur as a result of the
pentest scenario. Finally, after all expectations, goals, responsibilities and project scope are clearly
identified and agreed upon we would need to discuss what type of reporting mechanism the client
prefers. Some clients may prefer a more discreet reporting platform, informing only a select few
employees . Other organizations may prefer a more widespread dissemination of the pentest findings
to use as an awareness and teaching mechanism for their employees. Information Gathering During
the Information gathering phase, I would begin Open Source Research

Analysis Of Lather And Nothing Else
It takes a special type of person to not act in accordance with the majority. However, once over the
mob mentality people could see things in a different light. In Hernando Tellez s short story Lather and
Nothing Else , the protagonist, who is a barber, must have the foresight to make the right call. Two
rival political movements are at odds with one another in the setting of the story, 1800 s Latin
America. The barber is secretly a rebel and is surprised when a customer of his is Captain Torres, who
is a pro government enforcer. Even though they are of rival parties, the barber throughout the short
story contemplates whether or not he should murder the man. Ultimately, he decides not to kill the
captain because he values his reputation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This ties back to the idea that the decision he made was the right one. The barber has a personal
connection with Captain Tellez, a murderer. He watched him hang four of his former comrades after a
skirmish between them occurred; the barber further incentive to kill him. However, using foresight
and reasoning, he realizes that killing him would be futile as there will be more to take his place. The
barber is realizing the futility of the potential aftermath that could follow by killing Tellez. Thinking to
himself he says; What is to be gained by it? Nothing. Others and still others keep coming, and the first
kill the second...and so on until everything becomes a sea of blood (Tellez 3). In this quotation the
protagonist questions his motives. The fleeting nationalism that the rebel movement ensued upon him
makes him ponder. However, it is soon followed up by a powerful one worded sentence, Nothing as
the barber makes up his mind. Also, the author uses phrases such as others and still others and so on to
give us a sense of the futility of the situation. It paints a picture in the reader s mind of the amount of
power and people the government has against the rebels. This ties into the main idea that by saving
himself and sticking to what he knows, rather than kill Captain Tellez, was a good decision. In
conclusion, in Hernando Tellez s short story, Lather and Nothing

High Risk Drivers
Teens are the number one cause of accidents in the United States, and the number of teen accidents is
still rising. Most of the teen accidents that have occurred have included them having several
passengers in the car with them. Teen drivers become more distracted when they have teenage peers in
the car with them, and this causes them to engage in more potentially risky behaviors. Many
researchers are debating if teens should even be allowed to drive with more than one passenger in the
car with them. Teens under the age of 19 are more likely to die in accidents than adults. A number of
studies have shown that passengers substantially increase the risk of crashes for young, novice drivers
(Goodwin). The increased risk results from distractions that young passengers create for drivers. The
presence of passengers may increase the likelihood of teenage drivers engaging in explicitly risky
behaviors. Four potentially risky driving behaviors were examined in the driving clips speeding faster
than other potentially moving vehicles, speeding too fast for the situation, following too closely, ...

It has been said that, the risk of a teen being killed in an accident decreases when they have an adult
sibling in the vehicle with them (Mohn). Researchers have said it is unclear if this affects the safety of
young drivers. Although siblings could just as well distract teen drivers like their peers would. When
teens transported younger siblings, loud conversations and horseplay were more prevalent than when
teens were carrying parents or adults (Goodwin). Despite the fact that adults are known as being the
better drivers, whose there to say that they are. Just because they are adults does not mean they aren t
reckless drivers themselves. So an adult sibling or parent riding as a passenger with a reckless teen
driver may seem normal to them because they drive the same exact

Cost Analysis and sensitivity controlling factors
Number of units/TEU
In this specific case, the cost of Zaragoza might be higher than the Rotterdam option, however,
varying the number of units/TEU has an impact on this analysis.
If the number of units/TEU increases, the lesser holding cost of Zaragoza mitigates the higher
transportation cost of Zaragoza. Also, the transportation cost of Zaragoza comes down if the number
of units/TEU or number of units/Truckload increases.
Hence, the number of units/ TEU plays a pivotal role in considering which option to go with (with the
assumption rest all parameters remain same).
In our excel model we tried to determine the no: of units/TEU at which the cost of the Option 2
(Zaragoza) is lower than cost of option 1 (Rotterdam) by varying the number of units/TEU (J 13 cell
in excel model) and finding the influx point at which the cost difference becomes positive (E 69 cell in
excel model).
We found out that at the point of 1TEU = 443 units, the difference becomes positive .i.e Zaragoza
option becomes cheaper from this point onwards.

Patents And Its Impact On The World
For hundreds of years inventors have been able to obtain monopolies through patents for their
innovations. A patent is a set of exclusive rights granted by the government to an inventor for their
privately owned innovation with an expiration of 20 years. This gives the patentee the right to legally
withhold other human resources from the production, consumption, distribution and vending of their
invention. In order to receive a patent, its application must include claims which define the invention
as innovative, original and useful or otherwise applicable to industry. Patents were initiated for many
reasons including providing property rights for accomplishments of people along with preventing
market failure to occur through free riding. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While inventors of different innovative technologies may experiment on each other s inventions, those
with ownership of patents are the legal vendors to rights to go ahead in the step process of placing
their product on the market. On behalf of the world s economy and technological stance the WTO
developed an agreement for Trade Related Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS). Through this
agreement the WTO attempted to create balance between long term and short term objectives for
future innovations, which helps progress technology through dissemination. Basically rights over
production and sale of new technology are protected while new inventions are allowed to be studied.
According to article seven of the TRIPS Agreement stating its objectives;
The protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights should contribute to the promotion of
technological innovation and to the transfer and dissemination of technology, to the mutual advantage
of producers and users for the technological knowledge and in a manner conducive to social and
economic welfare, and to a balance of right and obligations.
This led to a number of benefits for pharmaceutical patents. With the agreement being established, the
incentive to create new drugs increased due to the contracted availability of patented information for
research along with the possible future benefits from the creativity of the inventors. A patent

Recommendation
It is idea for The New York Times Vice President of Communications, Catherine Mathis, to carry out
the communication channels, as previously operated. This will enable her to reach employees more
effectively than making significant changes. O Rourke (2010) states Many companies rely on
particular cultures to move day to day information through the organization, and to succeed in such a
business, you must adapt to the existing culture rather than try to change it or ask it to adapt to you
(p.31). The recommendation is to continue communicating through both informal and formal
channels, such as mandatory meetings, company letters, and newspapers.
1. Mandatory meetings will provide the employees with a face to face approach to resolving those
problems at hand. It allows managers to be more accessible as it provides both employee and manager
with an opportunity to talk and listen to each other s complaints and ideas (O Rourke, 2010).
2. A company letter will provide outside sources that were directly impacted by the event, with a
sincere apology and an explanation of the circumstances surrounding the incident. O Rourke states

At this point, the island began to show shape, but rose only several feet above the surface of the water.
The final step was to dredge over 8,500,000 m3 (302,000,000 ft3) of ocean sand onto the top of the
base structure in order to create habitable islands. This sea sand increased the island s height to 4 m
(13 ft) above low tide (6). In order to quickly, yet precisely acquire and distribute the sand, fleets of
dredging vessels and massive transport/delivery ships were brought from a European manufacturer.
Dredging In dredging millions of cubic meters of sea bed, the project used specialized cutter suction
dredgers in order to apply the sand to the desired surface. A cutter suction dredger, according to the
European Dredging Association (EuDA), is a large rig with a powerful underwater suction tube
generally 10 100 cm in diameter extended angularly from the centroid of the vessel with a large crane
extending from the rear of the ship to stabilize the tube (7). Due to the dense makeup of the Persian
Gulf, the dredgers had a cutting head at the base of the tube. This head chews through the rock bed
with over 5,000kW cutting power. It was equipped with a massive jet dredge system powered by a
submerged pump attached to the tube to help pull the destroyed bedrock into the ship (8 9). The jet
dredge systems create an extreme negative pressure in the pipe, which creates a basic Bernoulli
venturie tube effect.

Analysis of Gaspard of the Night
Gaspard of the Night
Gaspard De La Nuit was not published until a year after Aloysius Bertrand s death making an
interesting point about how he felt about his own work and its experimental nature.
Gaspard De La Nuit was the first important French work to utilize prose poetry as an art form.
The prose poem is inspired by medieval literature and thus uses a combination of the medieval
traditions, the gothic tradition, and the romantic of the French literary movement.
Gaspard comes from the Persian language which is a term meaning the man in charge of the royal
treasures, thus by giving the protagonist of these prose poems this name, Aloysius Bertrand
intentionally gives the reader the understanding that this is the perspective of a wealthy person, or at
the least an individual with some sort of high social class
Gaspard de la Nuit is also an old French expression which refers to the devil as he is an embodiment
of darkness. The combination of the two leads to a connection in the original readership, who would
have all been French people, of someone wealthy or at least connected to wealth and also someone
associated with death.
Gaspard De La Nuit traverses the line between reality and fantasy. The use of prose poetry is designed
to highlight this straddling of lines. As a prose poem is a form of poetry that does not have to accept
the stringent rules of poetic forms, so too the story of the poetry does not adhere to anything that is
strictly true to life nor is it

Dante s Accomplishments
Dante Alighieri was an italian poet and philosopher who is known worldwide for his masterpiece, The
Divine Comedy, which details Dante s journey through purgatory, hell, and paradise or heaven. The
Comedy represents the christian idea of fate, and the soul s journey towards god, and is widely
considered the greatest piece of literature ever composed in the italian language. He wrote several
other great works, including Convivio (The Banquet), La Vita Nuova (The New Life), and De Vulgari
Eloquentia (on the eloquence of vernacular). He is widely considered the father of the italian
language, and many have likened Dante s literary achievements to those of Shakespeare. He was born

Prejudice And Discrimination Essay
A lot of people understand and have gone through stereotyping, prejudice, and discrimination. Social
Psychologists make a distinction between these by concentrating on either they include emotions,
understanding, or attitudes. Racism is the influence, or reaction, visible feature of this triad. Racism
includes a contradicting approach into individuals situated on their association in a specific
organization. The psychological visible feature is stereotyping. Stereotypes are feelings concerning the
characteristics of specific crowds or associates of those organizations. Prejudice includes attitudes.
Discrimination is bad attitude toward people or organizations established on assumptions and feelings

Societal beginnings of racism associate the averages in our surroundings, the rivalry that lives
amongst organizations, and the societal unevenness that survive in our planet. For the reason that
classifying occurs commonly and is a beneficial utensil in a lot of forms, every person s civilization is
expected to acquire stereotypes. Ingroup partiality directs to mismatched treatment of the ones that we
have classified just as the outgroup. As well as outgroup uniformity partiality blocks our view on the
dissimilarities inside the outgroup.
Yet our understanding about the traits of these outgroups and how solid our racism is counts on the
specific civilization in which we live in. Racism and stereotypes bear beginnings in the pattern of our
societal organizations. Humans are taught bad behaviors against organizations by acquiring the
standards of their societal background. We are taught from our associates on which stereotypes are
suitable. When participants in one study were led to believe that their stereotypes were different from
those of their peers, those stereotypes were transformed to be more in connection with associate
stereotypes.
Assuming that our societal standards inform us that something on how racist we have to be against
specific organizations. Social norms dictate that we dislike child abusers, terrorists, and members of
the Ku Klux Klan. And these groups are groups we have strong prejudices toward. On

Victorian Women in the Work Force Essay
Victorian Women in the Work Force The Victorian period is often defined by its antique images of
flowers, doilies, rosy cheek children and intricate fashion. However, these trite images shadow the true
realities of middle class families struggling to succeed in the emerging business world. Traditionally,
the men spent long days in the city working out business affairs, while the women stayed home with
the children preparing meals and planning for social gatherings. Work was often not an option for
women because they were seen as incapable of any duty outside of the home. However, with the onset
of Queen Victoria s reign, the women of England slowly began to challenge their subservient roles,

She was capable of handling governmental affairs while also showing herself to be obedient to Prince
Albert, her beloved husband, which became an admirable trait among the English wives of this period
(20). Likewise, many historians refer to the Queen as a paradox because she combined her middle
class roots with her aristocratic reign. As one author says, That the queen of England became the
central embodiment of middle class familial values held great significance for the representation and
role of bourgeois women (Langland 64). Queen Victoria s concern for the middle class served as a
basis by which English women were able to go outside of their domestic realm and break some of the
existing stereotypes.
Stereotypes of Victorian Women
The stereotypes of this period classified the ideal Victorian woman as being family oriented and
subservient to their male counterparts. She was supposed to love children and also to avoid hurtful
blunt statements and make her husband the center of her life and be the Light of the Home while her
husband tangled with the world at large (Palmer). Marriage was supposed to be the Victorian woman s
highest aim so that she could fulfill her aspiration of creating a family (Dunhill 23). Within the family,

On the edge of town, in a withdrawn area, high on a hill sits what appears to be a Victorian house that

candles that stand lit on the mendora for a whole eight days. Antiochus (a king) tried to take over
Israel and force them to practice his religion. He destroyed all buildings and items that were to
practice other religions. But a group of jewish soldiers fought back and won Israel. When going
through the buildings they were shocked to see the candles on the menora still lit, and stayed lit for 8
days. They saw this as a sign of god. But, they do have things in common. Hanukkah and Christmas

Hanukkah and Christmas are both well known for their decorations, but they do have very distinct
ways to display their religion. Hanukkah often uses blue and silver colors. There most common
decorations are the menorah and the star of David. One decoration that is not uncommon is a
chocolate gelt and dreidel. However, Christmas often is represented by red and green colors.
Decorations they include are green evergreen, fake snow, white colors, ornaments, tinsel, mistletoe.
But, probably the most famous decoration is a Christmas tree. With ornaments and a angle or a star on
top. One thing the holidays do have in common is they hang and string bright lights

The Emergency Room Services ( Ed )
Going to the emergency room is not something most people want to do. However, on occasion it is
necessary to utilize the emergency room services (ED). What necessitates that trip is debatable; social
norms, prevailing trends, environmental demographics, culture, individual factors, the perception of
illness and access to healthcare have all been discussed. It is not this authors intention to determine the
root cause, but merely raise awareness that issues exist.
Increased Patient Wait Times Result in Poorer Patient Outcomes. In the United States, between 1996
and 2003 emergency room visits rose from 9.3 million visits to 113.9 million visits; an increase of 26
percent with an annual visit rate of 35.7 visits per 100 persons in 1992 and 39.6 per 100 persons in
2005 (Hunt, K., Colby, D., Grimes, B., Bacchette, P., Callaham, M., 2008). As the demand for ED
services increase, wait times increase, over crowding occurs, resources are strained and poorer patient
outcomes are often the result.
Just ask the Jeffers family about poor patient outcomes. In 2011, 2 year old Malyia Jeffers was taken
to the ED by parents for an uncontrollable fever and flu like symptoms. At the ER as she and her
parents waited nearly 5 hours to be been see by a physician, Malyia s illness progressed. By the time
she was seen, Malyia was suffering from toxic shock, a failing liver and struggling to survive. After
weeks of touch and go in Lucile Packard Children s Hospital intensive care unit,

What Is The Similarities Between Arrival And Space Odyssey
astronauts and disciples have nothing in common. However, it is noticeable that each group contains a
betrayer. This supports the religious analogy.
Even more religious symbols can be found. The black hole is surrounded by bright yellow light. This
light orbits the black hole along two different axes which gives it the appearance of two halos. This
gives the black hole a celestial connotation. Dr. Romilly explains that human beings cannot
understand the singularity of a black hole because it lies beyond the horizon, a place humans cannot
reach. In some religions celestial beings, like gods, dwell in heaven, a place normal humans cannot
enter.
Later Cooper enters the black hole and is transported to the Tesseract, a fifth dimensional space
appearing to him as a three dimensional one. Cooper assumes that it was created by a higher advanced
alien race. The Tesseract looks ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Kubrick s and Villeneuve s strength is the framing. In Space Odyssey an enormous number of scenes
that show central perspective can be seen. A very strong scene is the one in which David and Frank are
inside the space pod and talking about HAL. This shot indicates a vanishing point in the center of the
frame. Kubrick enhances the depth by dividing the frame in a foreground and background; David and
Frank are in the foreground whereas HAL is in the background (cf. Kargl 134). Kubrick often uses the
central perspective to create additional depth. Although the persons and objects that are filmed by a
camera are three dimensional the screen on which the film is shown is a flat surface. Therefore,
Kubrick uses certain perspectives to enhance the three dimensional effect. Villeneuve on the other
hand uses the perspective to guide the audience. A lot of Arrival s scenes show guiding lines that lead
to a vanishing point. Sometimes the camera pans to that vanishing point. Sometimes he guides the
audience towards the object of

Megacities are populated with Millions of residents; these overcrowded cities cause issues with
inadequate water supply, in many cities. Shanghai, China and Karachi, Pakistan experience scarce
water supply daily; some residents go days or weeks without water because of shortages,
contamination, and high prices. Around 300 million people are suffering from water shortages (Tao,
Tao, and Kunlun Xin). Deaths have arisen due to water contamination, killing thousands of people
yearly. Karachi water is being stolen and sold on a daily basis; making low income families pay
extremely high prices to get the essential water they need. Shanghai and Karachi demonstrate the poor

Advantages Of Ethical Hacking
The Internet is still developing and e commerce is on its advance. More and more computers get
connected to the Internet, wireless devices and networks are booming and sooner or later, nearly every
electronic device may have its own IP address. The complexity of networks is increasing, the software
on devices gets more complicated as well as user friendly.
Therefore, Security is a very popular topic and quite some effort are made in securing services,
systems and networks. On internet, there is a silent war going on between the good and the bad

Similarities Between The Tempest And Frankenstein
Affection blossoms day by day for most relationships, but not all. While some people remain joyful
and pleased in their relationships, Frankenstein and his creature in Frankenstein by Mary Shelley and
Prospero and Caliban in The Tempest by Shakespeare once showed these characteristics, but conflicts
began to grow that turned into complete hatred. As a result of the disputes, it identified how the
creators are similar, how the creation of the creatures are comparable, and how the relationships
between the creator and the creature in each story are related.
To start off, Frankenstein and Prospero share many unique qualities within their stories. Frankenstein
made his creature to be powerful amongst all other human beings. Nonetheless, he gave ... Show more

The creature responded to Dr. Frankenstein and said, I was benevolent and good; misery made me a
fiend. Make me happy, and I shall again be virtuous. Frankenstein replied, Begone! I will not hear
you. There can be no community between you and me; we are enemies. Begone, or let us try our
strength in a fight, in which one must fall. The creature states that misery caused him to be furious, but
the goodness inside him never went away when it comes to Dr. Frankenstein. On the other hand, the
creator said that they are no longer acquaintances, but rather rivals. The same scenario can be said for
Prospero and Caliban. Caliban reacted to Prospero s evil doings by using his knowledge against him.
Caliban s maleficent tone claimed, Which first was mine own king, and here you sty me... You taught
me language, and my profit on t Is I know how to curse. The red plague rid you For learning me your
language! He mentions that Prospero was once his king, which he had great respect for. Nevertheless,
Caliban uses his intelligence taught from Prospero as both revenge and satisfaction.
In conclusion, Frankenstein s and Prospero s similarities and the creation of the creature s, in
Frankenstein, and Caliban s, in The Tempest, similarities all affect the inclusive relationships as a
whole between creator and creature. Their companionship began as joyous and solicitous, but the
creators turned into vile characters, opposing their own partners that they once cared for

Elizabeth Bennet Deception
Love: Deception for Two
Elizabeth Bennet in Jane Austen s Pride and Prejudice clearly struggles with admitting her affection.
Elizabeth maintains a stereotypical image that affiliates wealthy people with arrogance, lack of
compassion, and insolence. She is never impressed with Mr. Darcy because she is too proud to admit
she was wrong. Essentially, Elizabeth s pride and prejudice stand in between her one chance at love.
Elizabeth and Darcy must avoid and surmount numerous differences in order for their relationship to
survive. For example, Darcy and Elizabeth need to overcome the faltering blocks of their ego and
bigotry. During their first encounter, Darcy s prejudice against Elizabeth s social standing blinds him
to her many virtues, She ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

faced, stuffy uncle Phillips, breathing port wine, who followed them into the room (Austen 77). Also,
he lures Elizabeth immediately by describing Darcy as an immoral person. Only after Darcy has
cleared up his name and pointed out the evil in Wickham, that Elizabeth realizes that she has been
played. Hindsight, Wickham s manners were actually bad: She was now struck with the impropriety of
such communications to a stranger [...] She saw the indelicacy of putting himself forward as he had
done, and the inconsistency of his professions with his conduct (Austen 202). Thus, Wickham is the

Hermaphrodite Vs Intersex
In visiting the ISNA website, there are many interesting things that one may come across. One of the
most interesting and important things on the site was the difference between a hermaphrodite and
intersex . The two terms are commonly confused; in fact, most people don t know that the two are
completely different. Intersex is the politically correct term to use while hermaphrodite is a
mythological term. The term intersex can be used to describe many conditions that can make a person
not be typically male or female. These conditions affect the human s reproductive anatomy. ... a person
might be born appearing to be female on the outside, but having mostly male typical anatomy on the
inside. Or a person may be born with genitals that seem to be in between male and female types...
(http://www.isna.org/faq/what_is_intersex). In addition to these conditions, a person can be born with
mosaic genetics which means that some of their cells contain XX (female) chromosomes, while others
contain XY (male) chromosomes. Although the term intersex describes certain conditions or
categories that a person may have, there s some ambiguity. Doctors have varying opinions on what
exactly should count as intersex .

First, it is shocking that some people will not even know if they are intersex. There have been
occurrences where people have lived their entire lives without knowing they were intersex. Another
interesting point on the site is that men can have aphallia , which means that they are born without a
penis but have typical male anatomy (http://www.isna.org/faq/conditions/aphalia). Lastly, it was very
surprising that in the past, doctors operated on children without consent to make them either male or

The polling result indicate that Hillary Clinton leads Donald Trump in the November election.
Mainstream media outlets like NBC and CBS have consistently manipulated the polling statistics with
a clear validity of slanting the purported outcome.
Notwithstanding, ABC filled the airwaves with negative information on Trump, and ignoring the
negative the negative Clinton and reported only positive information.
Constantly reminding people that Clinton will win might influence people to vote for her who
otherwise would not.
Additionally, this could boomerang by perpetually advocating that Clinton has the election in the bag

victory is already secured. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In addition to groupthink being at work hear there was also a fear of separation. This became apparent
when Morton Thiokol revised their initial warning about the O ring failure at the request of NASA
management.
Morton Thiokol wanted to be a part of the NASA team and did not want to remain apart from them
and although the decision was political in nature the fear of separation was so overwhelming that it
contributed to groupthink and they indicated that all danger signal s were acceptable risk.
Ethical gaps are compounded at the organizational level.
For example the explosion of the Challenger that was launched at a temperature it could not tolerate.
Post crash studies acknowledged that the explosion was caused by an O ring failed to seal on one of
the shuttle s solid rocket boosters.
The night before the launch, engineers and managers from NASA and Morton Thiokol met to discuss
the safety of the launch of the Challenger in a low temperature.
The shuttle program had previous launch problems with O rings had been detected. Now, under
intense pressure, Morton Thiokol engineers recommended to NASA personnel that the shuttle should
not be launched at low temperatures, but this recommendation was ignored (Bazerman, and
Tenbrunsel, 2011).
Most of us overvalue our ethicality in effect, we are unaware of

Summary Of The March Of Washington Speech
In the speech that took place during the March of Washington, the speaker John Lewis argues in favor
of African American rights. Lewis purpose when delivering the speech was to make people aware of
the difficulties that African Americans are going through at that time as well as to encourage them to
fight for their rights that they deserve. Lewis maintains a serious and agitated tone that helps persuade
the audience into realizing the hardships that African Americans must go through on a daily basis
because they do not have rights and uses a series of rhetorical strategies that help strengthen his point.
John Lewis represented the people that were prohibited to have their rights, and when giving the
speech, he hopes to create a difference not only in the world but also within the people themselves.
John Lewis begins his remarks by revealing his attitude that civil rights leaders should not
congratulate themselves yet and that there is still a long road before African Americans have true
freedom. To immediately complicate the notion of being satisfied with the progress of the civil rights
movement that other speakers proclaimed, he announces, We march today for jobs and freedom, but
we have nothing to be proud of (para 1). The essence of Lewis argument is that the leaders of the civil
rights movement are marching for workplace fairness and equality for African Americans, but they
should not stop and congratulate themselves. Significantly, this opening statement reveals

Space Shuttle Columbia Disaster
The Space Shuttle Columbia disaster happened on February 1st, 2003, and was the second and final
lost Space Shuttle for NASA. Unlike the other case studies, I do not think that there was as much
external disaster planning with the Columbia. In my research it seems that NASA as long been an
advocate for the traditional approach to disaster management. Taking in to account the secret
classification that surrounds much of what happens, and the inner workings of a government
organization such as NASA, we should not be surprised of their approach to disasters. According to
our learning units (Session 6), the traditional model has been historically referred to as civil defense,
and command and control . This quote is a perfect example of what ... Show more content on

Two specific ones standout concerning the Space Shuttle Columbia: strict adherence to standard
operating procedures , and a failure to adapt when performing tasks or functions (Learning Unit 6).
Another research group identifies these failures in its findings Behind the direct cause of the foam
strike, the report leveled damning critiques at NASA s pre and post launch decision making, painting a
picture of an agency dominated by milestone obsessed middle management. That focus on narrow,
group specific work and reporting, without a complementary focus on cross department integration
and communication, contributed at least as much to the loss of the shuttle as did the foam impact (The
Audacious Rescue Plan that Might have Saved Space Shuttle Columbia, 2014). I m of the mindset
that, had these shortfalls not been exposed and attributed to the loss of the shuttle, there was little that
could have been done to save the shuttle once the foam strike took place. The time to correct that
discrepancy should have been prior to flight, and according to many articles I read, the detaching foam
was a known issue; which places the blame back to an organization that had problems adapting to any
changes regarding safety. As with any emergency disaster, not all aspects were failures. Once such
noted example from our handouts (Learning Lesson 7), was emergence. Due to the high altitude and
extreme speed of the shuttle upon break up, the debris field was quite large. These created a nightmare
scenario for search teams,

Final Project Lady Macbeth
Macbeth Final Project Living in a world where even nature is at war with itself is challenging, and
only the bravest, good hearted people will emerge triumphant. The play Macbeth is a tragedy written
by William Shakespeare and takes place in eleventh century Scotland. Featuring a plot full of twists
and turns engages readers throughout the play. Even when the main character, Macbeth, is enticed to
commit a treacherous deed which causes a chain of murders and deceptions eventually leading to
Macbeth s unsightly demise, suspense is not lost. It is a masterpiece giving insight into human nature
and temptation, proving that only the characters who remain true to themselves will escape unscathed
from this backward place; because, in a world where ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After receiving a prophecy from the witches the he will be king, Macbeth is excited to share the news
with his beloved wife. Both of them, alone, started plotting King Duncan s murder. Lady Macbeth
seems better prepared to wear this mask, and hide her true intents than Macbeth does. Since Macbeth
is seemingly incapable of facing Duncan without their plan written across his face, Lady Macbeth
encourages him to Look like th innocent flower, but be the serpent under t (I, v, 56). It is almost as if
Shakespeare wanted Macbeth to be portrayed as an actor, having to put on this mask, and deliver a
convincing performance of trust and loyalty. This is evident because even though Macbeth openly
expresses his distaste in Duncan s murder when he tells Lady Macbeth We will proceed no further in
this business (I, vii, 32) he still ends up killing Duncan. Wearing this mask has taken its toll on
Macbeth. His mind and body were opposed to the deed; which is shown to the readers when Macbeth
sees a floating dagger. Perhaps hinting that his sanity is not intact. However, after it is done, Macbeth
changes and starts molding himself to fit the mask he wears, accepting murder, and moving forward
with his life. Masking intentions does not have to be for evil means. Malcolm masks himself in order
to test Macduff, and by doing this he gains a friend and ally, rather than a crown and subjects. So
while masking one s intentions can yield bountiful rewards, it can also pull them towards the path of
evil, for there is no yellow brick road to get lost on in this world of

  • 2. Who Is Responsible For Othello s Downfall When one watches a play, they are catching a glimpse into the characters lives. They are catching a narrow window of their existence. They do not know where they came from, what kind of experiences they have had, or what may have influenced them over the course of their lives. The central protagonist of Othello is none other than Othello himself, a man whose background ultimately shape and dictate his life during the play. Shakespeare creates Othello s main objective to stay true to who he is; a person that we are meant to infer is filled with duty, honor, trust, respect, nobility, and the desire to do the right thing. If any of these listed attributes are awry in his life, or at fault among the people he associates with, he is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Keep up your bright swords, for the dew will rust them./ Good signor, you shall more command with years/ Than with your weapons. (I.ii.59 61). Othello makes the decision not to fight outright by observing what is going on around him. First, the hour of this action is late at night, so chances are something is amiss. Secondly, he recognizes these men as good people, what quarrel does he posses with them? His ability to formulate this quick decision and take is a perfect example of the kind of person Othello is. It unfortunately will contribute to his downfall in the end of the tragedy. Othello s first completed objective prior to the start of the play is selecting a new lieutenant. In the military, a lieutenant can better be known as the second in command of a general (roughly). Othello, being the general, selects Cassio as his lieutenant. At this point, Iago discloses valuable characteristics of Cassio, One Michael Cassio, A Florentine /.../That never set a squadron in the field,/ Nor the division of battle knows/More than a spinster... (I.i.20 4). Iago clearly indicates that his own résumé is far more fitting to that of a battlefield lieutenant, stating, And I, of whom his eyes had seen the proof/At Rhodes, At Cyprus, and on other grounds/ He in good time must his Lieutenant be,/ And I god bless the mark! his Moorship s Ancient. • 3. The Use Of Computers And Technology For Criminal... Cybercrime is the use of computers and technology for criminal activities. Crimes that are committed in the virtual realm encompass a wide category. Thanks to the easy availability and increasing dependence on technology, cybercrimes are a fast growing criminal undertaking that is limitless in its potential. With the fast pace advancements in technology, cybercriminals are evolving their methods faster than law enforcement can advance theirs making it difficult to incriminate them. In addition, the lack of a physical barrier, as well as the lack of an individual or corporation knowing they are victims, makes it difficult to trace the criminals because no barrier is preventing attacks from occurring, or isolating it to a local area, and because attacks do not cause physical or mental harm. However, with research and resources, law enforcement has identified a common medium a cybercriminal uses to commit crimes: crimeware, commonly known as computer viruses. When discussing cybercrime, common terms that come to mind are viruses, hacking and online identity theft. All these three terms share a common characteristic: they all require software. Hackers use software to plant viruses to steal information. Crimeware is a subclass of [malware] (Emigh, 2006, p. 246) and is defined as a software running without the consent of a victim for nefarious purposes. Crimeware is routinely used to commit online identity theft. This is achieved typically through phishing, which (as its name ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 7. Analysis Of Lather And Nothing Else It takes a special type of person to not act in accordance with the majority. However, once over the mob mentality people could see things in a different light. In Hernando Tellez s short story Lather and Nothing Else , the protagonist, who is a barber, must have the foresight to make the right call. Two rival political movements are at odds with one another in the setting of the story, 1800 s Latin America. The barber is secretly a rebel and is surprised when a customer of his is Captain Torres, who is a pro government enforcer. Even though they are of rival parties, the barber throughout the short story contemplates whether or not he should murder the man. The barber has a personal connection with Captain Tellez, a murderer. He watched him hang four of his former comrades after a skirmish between them occurred; the barber further incentive to kill him. However, using foresight and reasoning, he realizes that killing him would be futile as there will be more to take his place. The barber is realizing the futility of the potential aftermath that could follow by killing Tellez. Thinking to himself he says; What is to be gained by it? Nothing. Others and still others keep coming, and the first kill the second...and so on until everything becomes a sea of blood (Tellez 3). In this quotation the protagonist questions his motives. The fleeting nationalism that the rebel movement ensued upon him makes him ponder. However, it is soon followed up by a powerful one worded sentence, Nothing as the barber makes up his mind. Also, the author uses phrases such as others and still others and so on to give us a sense of the futility of the situation. It paints a picture in the reader s mind of the amount of power and people the government has against the rebels. This ties into the main idea that by saving himself and sticking to what he knows, rather than kill Captain Tellez, was a good decision. • 8. High Risk Drivers Teens are the number one cause of accidents in the United States, and the number of teen accidents is still rising. Most of the teen accidents that have occurred have included them having several passengers in the car with them. Teen drivers become more distracted when they have teenage peers in the car with them, and this causes them to engage in more potentially risky behaviors. Many researchers are debating if teens should even be allowed to drive with more than one passenger in the car with them. Teens under the age of 19 are more likely to die in accidents than adults. A number of studies have shown that passengers substantially increase the risk of crashes for young, novice drivers (Goodwin). The increased risk results from distractions that young passengers create for drivers. The presence of passengers may increase the likelihood of teenage drivers engaging in explicitly risky behaviors. If the number of units/TEU increases, the lesser holding cost of Zaragoza mitigates the higher transportation cost of Zaragoza. Also, the transportation cost of Zaragoza comes down if the number of units/TEU or number of units/Truckload increases. Hence, the number of units/ TEU plays a pivotal role in considering which option to go with (with the assumption rest all parameters remain same). Through this agreement the WTO attempted to create balance between long term and short term objectives for future innovations, which helps progress technology through dissemination. Basically rights over production and sale of new technology are protected while new inventions are allowed to be studied. This sea sand increased the island s height to 4 m (13 ft) above low tide (6). In order to quickly, yet precisely acquire and distribute the sand, fleets of dredging vessels and massive transport/delivery ships were brought from a European manufacturer. Dredging In dredging millions of cubic meters of sea bed, the project used specialized cutter suction dredgers in order to apply the sand to the desired surface. A cutter suction dredger, according to the European Dredging Association (EuDA), is a large rig with a powerful underwater suction tube generally 10 100 cm in diameter extended angularly from the centroid of the vessel with a large crane extending from the rear of the ship to stabilize the tube (7). Due to the dense makeup of the Persian Gulf, the dredgers had a cutting head at the base of the tube. This head chews through the rock bed with over 5,000kW cutting power. It was equipped with a massive jet dredge system powered by a submerged pump attached to the tube to help pull the destroyed bedrock into the ship (8 9). • 14. Analysis of Gaspard of the Night Gaspard of the Night Gaspard De La Nuit was not published until a year after Aloysius Bertrand s death making an interesting point about how he felt about his own work and its experimental nature. Gaspard De La Nuit was the first important French work to utilize prose poetry as an art form. The prose poem is inspired by medieval literature and thus uses a combination of the medieval traditions, the gothic tradition, and the romantic of the French literary movement. Gaspard comes from the Persian language which is a term meaning the man in charge of the royal treasures, thus by giving the protagonist of these prose poems this name, Aloysius Bertrand intentionally gives the reader the understanding that this is the perspective of a wealthy person, or at the least an individual with some sort of high social class Gaspard de la Nuit is also an old French expression which refers to the devil as he is an embodiment of darkness. The combination of the two leads to a connection in the original readership, who would have all been French people, of someone wealthy or at least connected to wealth and also someone associated with death. Gaspard De La Nuit traverses the line between reality and fantasy. The use of prose poetry is designed to highlight this straddling of lines. As many people sing throughout the season. All around the world there are many who look forward to celebrating their religion. But do we know the true meaning of Hanukkah and Christmas? Christmas is a christian holiday that celebrates the birth of jesus. Who they believe is the son of god. God sent him to come to serve and teach about his father and his religion. However, Hanukkah celebrates the eight candles that stand lit on the mendora for a whole eight days. Antiochus (a king) tried to take over Israel and force them to practice his religion. He destroyed all buildings and items that were to practice other religions. But a group of jewish soldiers fought back and won Israel. When going through the buildings they were shocked to see the candles on the menora still lit, and stayed lit for 8 days. They saw this as a sign of god. But, they do have things in common. • 22. The Emergency Room Services ( Ed ) Going to the emergency room is not something most people want to do. However, on occasion it is necessary to utilize the emergency room services (ED). What necessitates that trip is debatable; social norms, prevailing trends, environmental demographics, culture, individual factors, the perception of illness and access to healthcare have all been discussed. It is not this authors intention to determine the root cause, but merely raise awareness that issues exist. Increased Patient Wait Times Result in Poorer Patient Outcomes. In the United States, between 1996 and 2003 emergency room visits rose from 9.3 million visits to 113.9 million visits; an increase of 26 percent with an annual visit rate of 35.7 visits per 100 persons in 1992 and 39.6 per 100 persons in 2005 (Hunt, K., Colby, D., Grimes, B., Bacchette, P., Callaham, M., 2008). As the demand for ED services increase, wait times increase, over crowding occurs, resources are strained and poorer patient outcomes are often the result. Just ask the Jeffers family about poor patient outcomes. In 2011, 2 year old Malyia Jeffers was taken to the ED by parents for an uncontrollable fever and flu like symptoms. At the ER as she and her parents waited nearly 5 hours to be been see by a physician, Malyia s illness progressed. By the time she was seen, Malyia was suffering from toxic shock, a failing liver and struggling to survive. After weeks of touch and go in Lucile Packard Children s Hospital intensive care unit, ... In some religions celestial beings, like gods, dwell in heaven, a place normal humans cannot enter. In Space Odyssey an enormous number of scenes that show central perspective can be seen. A very strong scene is the one in which David and Frank are inside the space pod and talking about HAL. Kubrick enhances the depth by dividing the frame in a foreground and background; David and Frank are in the foreground whereas HAL is in the background (cf. Kargl 134). Kubrick often uses the central perspective to create additional depth. Although the persons and objects that are filmed by a camera are three dimensional the screen on which the film is shown is a flat surface. Therefore, Kubrick uses certain perspectives to enhance the three dimensional effect. Villeneuve on the other hand uses the perspective to guide the audience. Lewis purpose when delivering the speech was to make people aware of the difficulties that African Americans are going through at that time as well as to encourage them to fight for their rights that they deserve. Lewis maintains a serious and agitated tone that helps persuade the audience into realizing the hardships that African Americans must go through on a daily basis because they do not have rights and uses a series of rhetorical strategies that help strengthen his point. John Lewis represented the people that were prohibited to have their rights, and when giving the speech, he hopes to create a difference not only in the world but also within the people themselves. John Lewis begins his remarks by revealing his attitude that civil rights leaders should not congratulate themselves yet and that there is still a long road before African Americans have true freedom. To immediately complicate the notion of being satisfied with the progress of the civil rights movement that other speakers proclaimed, he announces, We march today for jobs and freedom, but we have nothing to be proud of (para 1). That focus on narrow, group specific work and reporting, without a complementary focus on cross department integration and communication, contributed at least as much to the loss of the shuttle as did the foam impact (The Audacious Rescue Plan that Might have Saved Space Shuttle Columbia, 2014). I m of the mindset that, had these shortfalls not been exposed and attributed to the loss of the shuttle, there was little that could have been done to save the shuttle once the foam strike took place. The time to correct that discrepancy should have been prior to flight, and according to many articles I read, the detaching foam was a known issue; which places the blame back to an organization that had problems adapting to any changes regarding safety.
