the consumption of food. The human body depends on nutrients from carbohydrates, proteins, fats,
water, and fiber to function. Nutrition, exercise, and an appropriate diet work cohesively to maintain
that the body is working productively and at full capacity. This week s assignment required the
recording of daily food intakes for a span of three days. Data from each meal was inputted into the

The body needs lipids to generate energy, but a surplus in lipid intake contributes to the development
of heart disease (Nall, 2011). The honey baked ham and chicken that my family enjoyed did have a
fatty film of saturated fat. I also tend to cook with milk and butter that is another saturated fat. On top
of my bread pudding on Saturday was a tablespoon scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Personal Intake
After reviewing foods that provide the body with protein, carbohydrates, and lipids, it was imperative
to review my own personal intakes. My personal intake for the duration of the study was 2011kcal
with my recommended DRI at 2204 kcal. Most of my daily intakes were within the recommended
range, but there are areas within my diet that I need to adjust.
Protein
My protein DRI was to stay within 55 193g of which I consumed 72 g still within the recommend
range for my individual parameters. Proteins are essential for growth, tissue repair, and enzyme
protection (Cespedes, 2012). This project was eye opening as I realized the need to manage and
balance what I eat with my physical activity to offset my consumption intakes.
Complete Protein
It is noteworthy that majority of the meals I consumed centered on complete proteins. Some meals had
both complete protein and incomplete protein such as rice and corn. A complete protein source affords
all necessary amino acids

The Four Freedoms Analysis
In his speech The Four Freedoms Franklin D Roosevelt addresses to the state of the union (the people)
the vindication for the direct association of the United States in WWII. The historical context behind
this was that after WWI U.S had taken an isolation stance to avoid U.S involvement in any wars. He
believed that it was reasonable to provide England with the supplies they needed for the war because
sooner or later U.S will be forced to get involved in the war. Roosevelt main point for the speech was
to present the four freedoms; which include the freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom from
want and freedom from fear. Not only does he mentions that these freedoms are essential for the
Americans, but also everyone else in the world.

Well known peace activist Mhatma Gandhi once preached, Terrorism and deception are weapons not
of the strong, but of the weak. Ghandi dedicated his life to independence for each and every person on
Earth. We live in a world where countries biggest fear is the threat of terrorism. To many, terrorism
may only seem to be stories in the history books, but in reality in today s world terrorism is a
heightened menace. Terrorism, when defined by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, means any
activities that involve of violent acts or acts dangerous to human life that violate federal or state law,
appear to be intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population, to influence the policy of a
government by intimidation or coercion, or to effect the conduct of a government by mass destruction,

infamous than others, there have been countless terror attacks on the United States of America alone.

along with the different perspective groups of the functionalists, conflict theorists, and symbolic

Overview of Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is difficult to define because it relates to so many different
types of businesses and organizations. In the Exploring Management textbook, it broadly describes
CSR as the obligation of an organization to serve its own interests and those of its stakeholders
(Schermerhorn Bachrach, 2016, p. 38). Then CSR is broken down into two differing viewpoints,
Classical view and the Socioeconomic view. Classical view is concerned about the maximization of
profits. On the other hand, Socioeconomic is centered around the society and how business or
corporations positively impact society (Schermerhorn Bachrach, 2016, p. 39). CSR has to be tailored
to each organization for the company to understand the true meaning of it and how it affects the
company as a whole. When companies make decisions they should think about the three P s people,
profit, and planet. How will this affect people and the society as a whole? Will this idea/invention
bring economic benefits to the company? Lastly, how does the product or company affect the planet
(Schermerhorn Bachrach, 2016, p. 39)? Originally companies were not concerned or did not know the
social impacts the company could have on the people and/or the environment hence the classical view.
