Explain The Key Ideas Of Macbeth
The key ideas of my appropriation for Macbeth would include power and ambition. This would
communicate the key ideas of shakespeare to the audience as many of his plays would consist of
tragedy and frequent death as the cost for something positive that would happen in this case it would
be that Macbeth sought out careless power without looking onto the consequences that would ensue
the near future being blinded by his own ambition and lust for power. These key ideas are relayed in
the original play as Macbeth s ambition was fueled by his wife Lady Macbeth though in my own
version of the play Macbeth Donahue has a self fueled ego(ambition) and lust for power as shown
once the opportunity to kill the Capo Di Tutti Capi of Chicago had revealed

Why School Report Cards Merit A Failing Grade Essay
Introduction The purpose of this paper is to serve as a critique of the education brief entitled, Why
School Report Cards Merit a Failing Grade, written by Kenneth R. Howe and Kevin Murray of The
University of Colorado Boulder for the National Education Policy Center. The purpose of the brief
was to examine the practice by state governments of developing school accountability ratings systems,
which rate schools across their respective states with an A F, report card style grade as a form of
institutional accountability in the public domain. The authors of the brief were attempting to highlight
some of the purported reasons behind the creation of these systems and systematically critique those
arguments to demonstrate the failing of these accountability systems to meet their intended purposes.
The primary analysis comes from examining the A F systems for validity across three areas; validity
as a measure of school quality, validity as a policy instrument, and validity in terms of providing a
democratic framework for measuring student success.
Summary
Howe and Murray begin their analysis with an overview of the background related to A F grading
systems in the United States, which use a variety of student data ranging from standardized test scores
and growth levels to student attendance and graduation rates to evaluate a school s success or failure
as an institution. According to the authors, A F grading systems create three types of accountability,
direct or bureaucratic,

All Is Fair in Love and War
Joshua Anderson Professor Sarada Conaway Art History 105 November 17, 2012 All is Fair in Love
and War There is a saying that is passed around within the military community that states, For those
who have never served, freedom has a taste the protected will never know. Freedom has been
protected at all costs throughout the centuries and people have been inspired for centuries through the
use of art. In regards to those individuals that do fight for that freedom, the people of their country
generally tend to respect and honor their label. One of the most inspiring resources political parties
used to create an opinion for the people to support is artist work. With the use of art in both the statue
of Augustus of Primaporta and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In a way, the statue could be viewed as subliminal messaging because of his stance, title and clothing,
however, it is not as evident as it is in the second image, Precision Pride. Precision Pride is a pencil
drawing depicting the Marine Special Operations Command forces and their combat deployment to
Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom . (http://www.soloveyart.com/usmc.htm). As
anyone can see, the drawing has many Marines throughout the print. One Marine is parachuting from
a plane, another is patrolling the waters and other men are simply holding guns. The Marine that
stands out the most from the others, is the Marine in the top right corner, second person in. His stance
is similar to that of Augustus because his demeanor is that of confidence, authority, and protection; as
if to portray that he would go through hell and back to defend what is his. While his stance is strong,
his facial expression is calm, but intimidating at the same time. The motto of the Marine Corps League
is, Once a Marine, always a Marine (http://www.usmcpress.com/heritage/usmc slogans.htm). This is a
true statement. Once a person has earned the title of a Marine, almost like earning the title of
Imperator, they will always be included in an elite group of men and women, whether they are retired,
active duty, or reserve. Precision Pride is a

Drugs And Drug Abuse
For the research on drug use and societal or natural disaster, there is various findings on drug users
lives, before and after disasters. This paper gives a broad explanation of their trauma stress, housing
life styles, and health risk during times of disaster. These topics show the studies on people whom
partake in drugs such as Crack/Cocaine Heroine on the day to day basis. The researched for this paper
worked with the usagers directly to affect the health of those in these situations. Trauma Stress People
that are users of drugs, and more specifically crack, heroine, and other cocaine based drugs have
various reasons for their continued drug use. One of the many reasons for these drug users to abuse the
drugs they use extend from earlier traumas and events in their lives. The events of natural and
unnatural disaster cause an immediate amount of stress for those whom fall in this category. The
people falling under this category not only have the stress from their past, present events and possible
disaster events, but also the high chance of mental illness. Fifty four African Americans from New
Orléans were compared to a sample of 162 people from Houston, in this study that lasted from June
2002 to December 2005, there are no significant differences between the two groups on either
depression or anxiety, but the New Orléans sample scored higher on the self esteem scale and scored
lower on the risk taking scale (Timpson, Ratliff, Ross,

What Are The Causes Of The Second Industrial Revolution
The second Industrial Revolution was responsible for evoking great change in the United States of
America. It was a time when the very fabric of America was being redesigned and improved upon.
Populations were beginning to gravitate towards large urban areas, such as New York and
Philadelphia, and the economy was becoming more industrial based. Farming was becoming less of a
priority, as more Americans became determined to find factory jobs. The country was beginning to
modernize. The introduction of big business and labor unions was able to revolutionize The United
States economy and society. By the late nineteenth century, the American economy had experienced a
complete change; individual companies were beginning to take control of market and reconstruct the
way businesses were run. The entrepreneurs who took ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

jobs, as well as take over competing businesses. Business tycoons were also able to improve other
businesses and industries by hiring independent companies, like security agencies, to help them

working conditions. Workers were able to protest big businesses by refusing to work, creating unrest
in American society over the rights and treatment of workers. The relationship between laborers and
capitalists is like that of the Occupy Wall Street movement, where there was a large amount of strife in
the working class about the distribution of wealth. Much like the industrial workers, the Occupy
protesters were unhappy about the social and economic inequality between themselves and the one
percent. Despite the unruly relationship between capitalists and their workers, both groups were able

Orphan Train Character Analysis
Throughout the novel Orphan Train, there is the reoccurring importance of names for characters.
Niamh receives a total of three different names in her lifetime, each name representing a different
persona. Niamh is naïve and acts her age, Dorothy experiences hardships and is forced to suppress her
emotions, Vivian is identified as the Neilson s child and has a more stable home life. On the other
hand, Molly has a significant name to her culture that helps her to relate to her culture with the events
she has gone through in her life.
To begin with, Niamh was Vivian s original name. Niamh was a child, who had a family that
immigrated to Ireland. Niamh experienced the death of what she thought was every family member,
she was mourning that loss for as long as she had that name. Niamh was put into the Children s Aid
Society that put her onto the orphan train and placed her with the Byrnes family. Niamh was still
innocent and had no idea the mistreatment she would face. Niamh says as she reaches Minnesota, how
strange, I think that I am in a place my parents have never been and will never see. How strange that I
am here and they are gone. I touch the Claddagh cross around my neck (Kline 62.) Her saying this
expresses how Niamh is longing for comfort and has yet to reach the realization that she has become
undesirable. She still acts as if she is unsuspecting and innocent.
As soon as Niamh was adopted by the Byrnes family, they found her name too foreign and difficult so

A Short Note On 13, And Patau Syndrome
Trisomy 13, or Patau Syndrome, is caused by the presence of three chromosome copies on
chromosome 13. An extra copy of chromosome 13 causes the majority of cases. Some cases are
caused by a Robertsonian translocation between chromosome 13 and other autosomes such as
chromosomes 15, 21, and 22. According to Bishra Clericuzio Trisomy 13 is the third most common
autosomal trisomy, with an incidence of 1 per 10,000 (Bishara Clericuzio, 2008, p. 30). It is comprised
mainly of defects of the eyes, nose, lips, forebrain, holoprosencephaly, polydactyly, and narrow
hyperconvex fingernails, and skin defects of the posterior scalp. The median age of survival is seven
days, with over 90% of affected patients dying within the first year of life (Jones Casanelles, 2014).
Common causes of death include cardiac arrest, complications of congenital heart disease, and
pneumonia. Those that survive the neonatal period have an average length of stay in the neonatal
intensive care unit (NICU) of 10 days. According to studies, almost one quarter of patients have at
least one type of surgery in the neonatal period. More than half of fetuses with trisomy 13
spontaneously abort. Most survivors have severe intellectual disability, seizures, developmental delay,
and failure to thrive. The incidence is slightly higher in females compared to males.
The etiology of this disorder is trisomy of chromosome 13. Although most children do not survive
longer than one year, it is one of the

The Best Week For Building Educational Success
The BEST week is the first week of the first year in DCU, it is stands for building educational success,
and It is very an important week to recognize the DCU program. In this reflection I will write about
the most important things I have learned and also the things I enjoyed it most in the BEST week,
which is the information and the knowledge I received, the challenges and the teamwork.
Information and knowledge:
During the week we had so much information and knowledge about DCU in general and financial in
particular. For instance: DCU international center. It is one of the top 50 universities under 50 around
the world, which means it is a very strong university. Knowing this information motivate me in
somehow and made me feel so proud and it is accomplishment being a part of this program, and I
think this will help me to have higher job opportunities in the future. Actually when I went home I got
curious to know more about the university so I searched about DCU and I had a look at the DCU
website. Not only this, but also the information about our career opportunities like the names of the
companies will hire business school international finance graduates. And that has really made me feel
secure and my studies will never go in vain. I wrote the company s names so I do not forget them later
and to search about them to know more about what kind of companies I will work on it in the future.
Also, there was 2nd and the 3rd year students who volunteered their time to help us

Political Playbook Hardball By Chris Matthews
In his political playbook Hardball: How Politics is Played, Told by One Who Knows the Game, Chris
Matthews reveals numerous political maxims that allow the reader to gain more information about the
inner workings of the government. Two of those maxims, it s better to receive than to give and hang a
lantern on your problems, are consistently echoed throughout the text and remain highly relevant in
current political affairs. The maxim it s better to receive than to give refers to the Machiavellian
principle of gaining someone s support by having him or her perform an act. According to Matthews,

Paramedic Personal Statement
A paramedic is one of the first healthcare professionals on the scene of an emergency. Using a variety
of lifesaving techniques, their job is to stabilise the patient for hospital transfer and definitive
treatment. This selfless way of life sparked my interest in front line emergency medicine and I have
sought out every opportunity to help me achieve my goal of becoming a paramedic.
Wishing to obtain a practical insight into administering first aid, I have studied towards and achieved
the St John s Youth First Aid and St John s Activity First Aid qualifications. To push myself further, I
have taught the St John s Youth First Aid course and the St John s Heart Start course for the last 3
years, alongside a paramedic. In order to gain a more practical experience, I joined a local First Aid
group, and achieved my First Aid at Work qualification. I have since provided first aid cover at several

Identifying The Devils In Rachel Carson s Silent Spring
Arnold Schweitzer once said man can hardly even recognize the devils in his own creation . This is the
point that Rachel Carson argues throughout her book Silent Spring. Carson believes that though the
scientific revolutions that occurred since the turn of the 19th century may seem to be solely beneficial,
they have disastrous repercussions. In particular, Carson claims that man s newly established ability to
have dominion over nature puts the world in a dangerous position. If humans let the power of
controlling nature get to their head and refuse to attempt to understand the possible consequences of
their actions, the Earth is destined to turn into a contaminated wasteland. She argues that if mankind
continues to believe that it is superior to all around it and thereby continues to rapidly and impetuously
alter nature to fit its own desires, then man is using science and technology to catalyze its own doom.
However, Carson does not view ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
To her, nature and science are not mutually exclusive and can exist in tandem. In fact, she even says
that where man has been intelligent enough to observe and emulate nature he is capable of creating
progress that is beneficial for both nature and man.In this case, humans are looking to nature for the
solutions. Rather than seeing themselves as above nature and seeking to control it, they are observing
it and its patterns to obtains a solution. Therefore the problem for Carson lies in the human superiority
that has developed alongside the expansion of science. She criticizes the human desire for the control
of nature which she believes is a phrase born of arrogance and instead opt for, as Dr. Briejer says,
humbleness . Carson thinks that in order to truly thrive and proliferate, man should not wage a war
against nature, but instead look to it as an equal and address the intrinsic ties between mankind and

Who Is To Blame For The Death Of Romeo And Juliet Essay
Do you believe that true love will be together forever? Sometimes that is true, but other times it is not
a good thing. In the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet fall in love but
it would never work out because their families are mortal enemies. Both Romeo and Juliet end up
killing themselves for each other, and Romeo, Juliet, and Friar Lawrence are to blame for the deaths of
the young lovers and why each one holds a big responsibility to the deaths. Romeo is the biggest
reason for the death of the young lovers because he came on to Juliet at the party. At the party for the
Capulets, Romeo went over to Juliet and was trying to seduce her by saying, If I profane with my
unworthiest hand/This holy shrine, the gentle sin this/My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand/To
smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss (1.5.92 95). If Romeo did not try to come on to Juliet then
she would of gone with Paris like her father wanted her to and Juliet would not of had to go behind
everyone s back and marry Romeo. Clearly, If Romeo did not come on to Juliet then none of this
would of happened, so that is why Romeo is the most responsible for his and Juliet s death. ... Show

(1.5.96 99). If she did not say Placing palm on palm is a holy pilgrims kiss, then Romeo would not of
kept on trying to win her over and then she would not of faked her death to run away with Romeo.
Clearly, Juliet also has some weight on her shoulders because of the deaths of Romeo and

The Static Model Of Data Mining Essay
Abstract: Lot of research done in mining software repository. In this paper we discussed about the
static model of data mining to extract defect .Different algorithms are used to find defects like naïve
bayes algorithm, Neural Network, Decision tree. But Naïve Bayes algorithm has the best result .Data
mining approach are used to predict defects in software .We used NASA dataset namely, Data rive.
Software metrics are also used to find defects.
Keywords: Naïve Bayes algorithm, Software Metric, Solution Architecture,.
I. INTRODUCTION
According to [1], multiple algorithms are combined to show better prediction capability using votes.
Naïve Bayes algorithm gives the best result if used individual than others. The contribution of this
paper based on two reasons. Firstly, it provides a solution architecture which is based on software
repository and secondly it provides benchmarks that provide an ensemble of data mining models in the
defective module prediction problem and compare the result. Author used NASA dataset online [2]
which contain five large software projects with thousands of modules. Bohem found 80/20 rule and
about the half modules are defect free [3]. Fixing Defects in the operational phase is considerably
more expensive than doing so in the development or testing phase. Cost escalation factors ranges from
5:1 to 100:1 [3]. It tells defects can be fixed in operational phase not in development and testing
phase. The study of defect prediction can be classified into

The Dutch had an impact on Indonesia artistically throughout its 400 year reign. The Dutch were the

Shopping Networks And The Online Retail Community
Each day ,retailers face emerging risks that threaten the sustainability and profitability of their
companies. As shopping becomes more convenient for the average person ,the increase of online
purchases increases in this digital age. Since social media, shopping networks and the readiness of
smart devices enable unsavory individuals to take advantage of unsuspecting shoppers. Given this fact
it is essential that retailers rethink how they manage the risk to their enterprises. With the recent
disclosures about the enormous data breaches that occur within the online retail community it is
certain that a strong plan is needed by all companies. For example in 2014,Target, Nieman Marcus,
White Lodging, Sally Beauty, Michaels, Affinity Gaming (casinos), UPS, Home Depot and even New
York reported data breaches that involved the theft of credit or debit card information of millions of
consumers ( Hardekopf, 2015). One of the first things that must be considered is the communication
process because it is where the breakdown first begins. Having strong polices that are followed to the
letter is the beginning of setting up a risk management framework. This is especially true when you
consider that internal risk is growing as fast as external. There are three categories that risk falls into
as far as retail enterprises are concerned: hazard, business and strategic. Each must be handled in its
own unique way for it to be effective within a risk management

The Death Of The Sun, By Lorraine Hansberry And Hamlet,...
Whether it is over the death of a loved one or a very emotional situation, grief is inevitable. Most
individuals experience a form of grief at some point in their lifetime. Coping with a distressing
situation can be a very difficult task and there are many arguments as to whether there is a set and
correct method on how to deal with grief or not. Many people have created a grieving process that
includes going through certain stages in order. However, this proposed grieving method is no more
than a false theory. Due to the fact that every single person grieves differently, there is no way to
possibly set a specific way to grieve. A Raisin in The Sun, by Lorraine Hansberry and Hamlet, Prince

Theoretically, denial is the first recommended step to experience normal grief; anger follows. The
second advised step to experiencing a progressive grieving process is anger. Although anger is the
suggested step after denial, many people do not experience it in this order or at all. Halperin defines
anger, when you wake up from the dreamy state of denial, you ll find yourself in mile two . . . anger
(70); this explains the idea that people become very angry at the fact that something extremely
saddening has occurred in their life. There is an instance when Walter Lee shows a form of anger,
WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE LISTEN TO ME TODAY (Hansberry 399), illustrating the idea that he
becomes frustrated at the fact that his father passed away. Walter Lee does not necessarily feel this
stage second; he could have felt anger immediately after his father passed away. Many people deal
with grief by showing numerous forms of temperament; however, not everyone in the stories go
through this step second and some do not experience it at all. While anger is the second step that is
wrongly proposed in order to undergo a normal grieving process, bargaining is the third. The third
recommended step in order to encounter a progressive grieving method is the bargaining stage.
Contrary to popular belief, this step does not have to be experienced third or at all. Halperin defines
bargaining, someone who is hoping to postpone death . . . says I ll do anything for a

The Air Force does not have the proper number of funds for the Air Force to maintain its active
aircraft. As I stated previously. Many of the active aircraft are old and no longer in production. Many
of the old aircraft need a lot of maintenance. Thus rely on many of the retired air craft for broken
parts. Congress needs to be able to loosen their wallet and propose more money into the military. The
military in general needs the funds to be able to invest in new reliable and more cost efficient air craft.
Instead of relying on our old aircraft. Col. Gentry Boswell, commander of the 28th Bomb Wing at
Ellsworth stated that, the B 1 has evolved into a close air support bomber. Flying for 10 12 hours at a
time high above the battlefield, B 1 s can carry 50,000 pounds of weapons, mostly satellite guided
bombs, but only half of these supersonic bombers can actually fly right now. Being able to maintain
and keep are aircraft in the air are vital. Many soldiers when deploy depend on these iron birds to
provide support in very rigorous situations when air support is needed, surveillance, and just a sense a
relief that American troops know they have iron bird to count on incase things get to

Education Reform In The United States
Is school reform hopeless in our states and cities? In my opinion, education reform is useless due to a
variety of occurrences going on in the world that nobody is focused on and changing these schools to
make them more efficient for all students. An example of this is the government not caring at all about
how most of these schools are lacking in money and in need of help to be able to acquire the best
education. Many schools in the world are so poor and struggling that students are forced to drop out
and eventually end up getting into gangs leading to violence and drugs all over the streets. Not only
are these some of our most significant leading problems, but we also see the amount of discrimination
between the schools. There are cases ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This thing is money. Money was used for buying things that benefit us and helps us in any way.
Schools all around the world have a necessity for supplies, better equipment for classes or food for
lunchrooms. To acquire this, we need money, which most schools don t have. Poor schools are in
desperate need of these things to try to provide a much more efficient education for their students.
Schools will turn to the aid of the government in the hope of getting money for the school. In most
cases, you would think that the government would help out the poorest schools, but that s not the case.
In savage Inequalities schools along with many desperate families are asking for the assistance of their
board of education as well as the government for help with schools lacking in many supplies and the
environment their living. Rather than receiving the help they need the government helps out the richer
schools more than the schools that need the help. Why is it that the poor schools in the South Side of
Chicago don t get help from the government, but the richest schools do. This shows us how ethnicity
plays a role in our society. Many of the wealthy schools mainly have white students who attend the
schools, while in poor schools are mainly populated by Hispanic students and African American
students. That s

The Artistic Influence Of Pablo Picasso s Le Rameur
The Artistic Influence of Pablo Picasso
The Houston Museum of Fine Arts carries this eye catching painting constructed by the late Pablo
Picasso. This particular abstract painting of Picasso looks as if a man is sitting at a piano. Upon further
observation of the painting I came to realize that the artwork was distinctively named Le Rameur ,
which means The Rower in French. The Rower can be placed in the art movement known as Analytic
Cubism. Analytic Cubism refers to Picasso´s interest in breaking down or analyzing forms and space
into smaller geometric shapes. In Le Rameur, Picasso uses his Cubism method that embellishes
rectangles, triangles, and spheres and squares to bring out the detail. The artwork itself looks very dull
and unfinished and is evident that Picasso made use of muted colors such as ... Show more content on

The painting includes some recognizable elements of the person depicted, but Picasso fragments them
into geometric shapes and rearranges them. The result is an image that causes the viewer´s eye to
search for identifiable forms and shapes. Here, Picasso explores the use of three dimensional objects
on a two dimensional surface. Picasso choses muted colors, brown, ocher, and gray, to unify and
flatten the composition. These colors allow the geometric shapes to meld with the two dimensional
surface on which it is painted. At the same time, a solid figure emerges through the layering of forms
and angles. The painting includes some recognizable elements of the person depicted, but Picasso
fragments them into geometric shapes and rearranges them. The result is an image that causes the
viewer´s eye to search for identifiable forms and shapes. The V shaped lines and planes in the center
may be bent arms, as if the figure is reading a book or holding the oars of a boat. Similar V shaped
lines in the lower part of the composition suggest bent legs, as if the figure is seated. Picasso s

Pros And Cons Of Monsanto s Herbicide Roundup
Monsanto Damages Liver Kidney s
Miranda Eisenschmidt
MONSANTO S
Monsanto s is an agricultural biotechnology corporation. They are the producers of Roundup ready
seeds, which are seeds that are not affected or killed by weed killer. Not only do they produce the
seeds but they produce the herbicide Roundup as well that kills unwanted weeds and grass. These
things seem like something every gardener would want. What could be better? Well Roundup is not all
is thought to be. The herbicide Roundup has been linked to damaging liver and kidneys.
ORGANIZATIONS INVOLVED
There were more than 4,000 genes in the liver and kidneys [of the rats that were fed Roundup] whose
levels of expression had changed, the study s leading scientist, Michael Antoniou, head of the Gene
Expression and Therapy Group at King s College London, said, as quoted by the Environmental
Health News according to RT News.
King s College London is the college that started all the commotion about Monsanto s herbicide
Roundup being a concern with damaging organs such as the liver and kidneys. They did a science
experiment with rats. They found that rats that were exposed to just a tiny amount of Roundup in their

according to estimates. So if people seem so concerned about Roundup being harmful to us physically

Argumentative Essay On Muscle Cars
Muscle Cars with Shaker Hoods
The Classic Muscle Car with a Shaker Hood
Owning a muscle car with a shaker hood isn t for everybody. Even fans of aggressive looking hood
scoops would sometimes rather see them as part of the sheet metal hood structure as opposed to a
giant sized and oddly shaped air cleaner.
However, for those wanting to see their engine come to life, while sitting in the driver seat, this option
will continue to be a popular one. Here we ll discuss some of the All American muscle cars that made
this option available. We ll also discuss a few problems associated with an air scoop connected to a
moving engine, protruding like a periscope through a large hole cut in the hood.
Background on the Shaker Hood
Although you probably already know where the name comes from, let s quickly give this part a
definition and discuss its origins. In 1969 the [Ford Mustang design team] was looking for a unique
hood scoop to use on their aggressive V8 engines. Customers in the muscle car market liked the idea
of a ram air set up to improve airflow on [the single four barrel carburetor] mounted on the Cobra and

Tucked Away In A Corner Of The Oaks Mall Sits A Quiet...
Tucked away in a corner of The Oaks mall sits a quiet bookstore. Its exterior is something that
resembles stone brick with wooden trimmings. The doors are propped open in an invitation to come in
and peruse the text laden shelves and dawdle amongst countless authors. Plastered on one of the open
doors is a stark black poster advertising an open mic night on the third Friday of every month. Large
glass windows offer not only a glimpse into the bookstore, but also display a variety of new books on
white shelves. At the very top, there are a row of black lamps illuminating the name of the bookstore.
The letters sit proudly above the doors in a cool grey: The Open Book. If you take a moment to look
inside, it s a little overwhelming and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Books new ones that remain to be sorted, you guess tower precariously on either side of the counter,
and above the register is the name of the bookstore in an olive green. Surrounding it are small, framed
chalkboards. They advertise things like story time on Sundays and a book club in intricate
handwriting. Everything has a nostalgic tinge to it. From wooden bookshelves to chalkboard
handwriting, the Open Book seems to be a space removed from the digital age of Kindles and fancy
computer search systems. Even the store décor is reminiscent of a simpler time, with hand lettering
painted on the walls and framed artwork from past art competitions the bookstore has held. But of
course, the first thing that will catch your eye if you enter is the word Vintage painted black in a neat,
serif font along what seems to be the back wall. Curiously, you may approach this wall first, and
without fault it is one of the bookstore s proudest walls. The shelves here are lined with books that
look like they fell out of a library scene in a Hollywood movie. A little dusty, and a little worn, these
books boast of their history. Many of the texts are bound in a deep red or navy blue, labeled in gold
lettering and arranged by color. This wall alone may be the most picturesque in the entire store.
Perhaps you ll open a book, just to take a look.

History of Internet Essay examples
Without a doubt, the Internet is undergoing a major transition as it experiences a tremendous influx of
new users. Due to the anarchic, distributed nature of the net, we cannot even begin to enumerate the
population of the Internet or its growth. As more of the world s population moves on line, new
concerns will arise which did not confront the earlier generations. The new culture will demand
different resources, services and technology than the old generations expected and used. Already we
can witness a clash between the emergent culture and the entrenched culture. The largest conflicts
occurring now are about sharing resources, the impending commercialization of the net, and the
growing problem of computer crime.
The Internet was born ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It is only in the past year or two that we have begun to see the explosion of the new generation on the
Internet. Businesses have begun connecting themselves to the net, especially with the prospect of the
NSFNET backbone changing hands to permit commercial traffic. Public access nets run by
communities or businesses are springing up in cities all over the world, bringing in users who know
little about computers and are more interested in the entertainment and information they can glean
from the net.
Commercial providers like America Online and Compuserve are beginning to open gateways from
their exclusive services to the open Internet, specifically allowing their users to access email, netnews
and soon ftp and telnet services. The explosion of BBSs and the shared Fidonet software has brought
many users who were previously unable to get an account through a university to the world of email
and netnews. At this point, anyone with a computer and a modem can access these most basic
services. Several state s, such as Maryland, have begun efforts to connect all their residents to the net,
often through their library system. The city of Cambridge,
MA now offers access to the world wide web for short segments of time in its public libraries, and
even several progressive coffeehouses in the San Francisco Bay area and soon in the Boston area are
offering public net access.

Thriller s Credibility
Friedrich Nietzsche once said, All credibility, all good conscience, all evidence of the truth come only
from the senses . Newscasters today tend to be seen as a credible source for learning about what is
happening in the world. When a person hears of a terrorist attack or some other news, they
immediately look it up on their phones through news stations such as CNN and Fox. One thing that is
never brought up is how these newscasters, or anyone for that matter gains credibility. Professionals
need to have credibility to be successful in their careers, what methods are used and how they attain
that credibility varies. Different people are more credible than others in different areas. It is who you
are that will determine what those areas are. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I decided who had the most to least credibility according to my past experiences with these

want to be a doctor and my mom also happens to be in the medical field, which influenced my
decision to put surgeon as the most credible profession on the list. Also, my family is made up of car
enthusiasts always talking about shady salesman and people trying to rip them off. This influence has
made me distrust people in this profession and is why I put it last on the list. We may like to believe
that what we think is how things actually are when it comes to credibility and trustworthiness of a
profession or person, but the truth is we all have different biases that cause us to see things and people
differently than everyone

Final Project Lady Macbeth
Macbeth Final Project Living in a world where even nature is at war with itself is challenging, and
only the bravest, good hearted people will emerge triumphant. The play Macbeth is a tragedy written
by William Shakespeare and takes place in eleventh century Scotland. Featuring a plot full of twists
and turns engages readers throughout the play. Even when the main character, Macbeth, is enticed to
commit a treacherous deed which causes a chain of murders and deceptions eventually leading to
Macbeth s unsightly demise, suspense is not lost. It is a masterpiece giving insight into human nature
and temptation, proving that only the characters who remain true to themselves will escape unscathed
from this backward place; because, in a world where ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After receiving a prophecy from the witches the he will be king, Macbeth is excited to share the news
with his beloved wife. Both of them, alone, started plotting King Duncan s murder. Lady Macbeth
seems better prepared to wear this mask, and hide her true intents than Macbeth does. Since Macbeth
is seemingly incapable of facing Duncan without their plan written across his face, Lady Macbeth
encourages him to Look like th innocent flower, but be the serpent under t (I, v, 56). It is almost as if
Shakespeare wanted Macbeth to be portrayed as an actor, having to put on this mask, and deliver a
convincing performance of trust and loyalty. This is evident because even though Macbeth openly
expresses his distaste in Duncan s murder when he tells Lady Macbeth We will proceed no further in
this business (I, vii, 32) he still ends up killing Duncan. Wearing this mask has taken its toll on
Macbeth. His mind and body were opposed to the deed; which is shown to the readers when Macbeth
sees a floating dagger. Perhaps hinting that his sanity is not intact. However, after it is done, Macbeth
changes and starts molding himself to fit the mask he wears, accepting murder, and moving forward
with his life. Masking intentions does not have to be for evil means. Malcolm masks himself in order
to test Macduff, and by doing this he gains a friend and ally, rather than a crown and subjects. So
while masking one s intentions can yield bountiful rewards, it can also pull them towards the path of
evil, for there is no yellow brick road to get lost on in this world of

This would communicate the key ideas of shakespeare to the audience as many of his plays would consist of tragedy and frequent death as the cost for something positive that would happen in this case it would be that Macbeth sought out careless power without looking onto the consequences that would ensue the near future being blinded by his own ambition and lust for power. These key ideas are relayed in the original play as Macbeth s ambition was fueled by his wife Lady Macbeth though in my own version of the play Macbeth Donahue has a self fueled ego(ambition) and lust for power as shown once the opportunity to kill the Capo Di Tutti Capi of Chicago had revealed ... • 3. Why School Report Cards Merit A Failing Grade Essay Introduction The purpose of this paper is to serve as a critique of the education brief entitled, Why School Report Cards Merit a Failing Grade, written by Kenneth R. Howe and Kevin Murray of The University of Colorado Boulder for the National Education Policy Center. The purpose of the brief was to examine the practice by state governments of developing school accountability ratings systems, which rate schools across their respective states with an A F, report card style grade as a form of institutional accountability in the public domain. The authors of the brief were attempting to highlight some of the purported reasons behind the creation of these systems and systematically critique those arguments to demonstrate the failing of these accountability systems to meet their intended purposes. The primary analysis comes from examining the A F systems for validity across three areas; validity as a measure of school quality, validity as a policy instrument, and validity in terms of providing a democratic framework for measuring student success. Summary Howe and Murray begin their analysis with an overview of the background related to A F grading systems in the United States, which use a variety of student data ranging from standardized test scores and growth levels to student attendance and graduation rates to evaluate a school s success or failure as an institution. According to the authors, A F grading systems create three types of accountability, direct or bureaucratic, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

One Marine is parachuting from a plane, another is patrolling the waters and other men are simply holding guns. The Marine that stands out the most from the others, is the Marine in the top right corner, second person in. His stance is similar to that of Augustus because his demeanor is that of confidence, authority, and protection; as if to portray that he would go through hell and back to defend what is his. The motto of the Marine Corps League is, Once a Marine, always a Marine (http://www.usmcpress.com/heritage/usmc slogans.htm). This is a true statement. This is the point that Rachel Carson argues throughout her book Silent Spring. Carson believes that though the scientific revolutions that occurred since the turn of the 19th century may seem to be solely beneficial, they have disastrous repercussions. In particular, Carson claims that man s newly established ability to have dominion over nature puts the world in a dangerous position. If humans let the power of controlling nature get to their head and refuse to attempt to understand the possible consequences of their actions, the Earth is destined to turn into a contaminated wasteland. She argues that if mankind continues to believe that it is superior to all around it and thereby continues to rapidly and impetuously alter nature to fit its own desires, then man is using science and technology to catalyze its own doom. Rather than seeing themselves as above nature and seeking to control it, they are observing it and its patterns to obtains a solution. In the book Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet fall in love but it would never work out because their families are mortal enemies. Both Romeo and Juliet end up killing themselves for each other, and Romeo, Juliet, and Friar Lawrence are to blame for the deaths of the young lovers and why each one holds a big responsibility to the deaths. Romeo is the biggest reason for the death of the young lovers because he came on to Juliet at the party. At the party for the Capulets, Romeo went over to Juliet and was trying to seduce her by saying, If I profane with my unworthiest hand/This holy shrine, the gentle sin this/My lips, two blushing pilgrims, ready stand/To smooth that rough touch with a tender kiss (1.5.92 95). If Romeo did not try to come on to Juliet then she would of gone with Paris like her father wanted her to and Juliet would not of had to go behind everyone s back and marry Romeo. As shopping becomes more convenient for the average person ,the increase of online purchases increases in this digital age. Since social media, shopping networks and the readiness of smart devices enable unsavory individuals to take advantage of unsuspecting shoppers. Given this fact it is essential that retailers rethink how they manage the risk to their enterprises. With the recent disclosures about the enormous data breaches that occur within the online retail community it is certain that a strong plan is needed by all companies. This is evident because even though Macbeth openly expresses his distaste in Duncan s murder when he tells Lady Macbeth We will proceed no further in this business (I, vii, 32) he still ends up killing Duncan. Wearing this mask has taken its toll on Macbeth. His mind and body were opposed to the deed; which is shown to the readers when Macbeth sees a floating dagger.
