An Essay On Paleo Diet
The paleo diet is an eating plan that will restore your body to the healthy state intended by mother
nature, and keep your weight at a healthy level as well. It is predicated on the assertion that by getting
back to basics and eating the way our paleolithic ancestors did, we won t be subjecting our bodies to
all the chemicals and preservatives in modern foods. It restricts our diet to one similar to the way the
cavemen ate. This means eating foods that can be fished out of the river, hunted in the woods, or
gathered. Of course, most people don t hunt for their meat these days, so buying lean meat at the
grocery store will be fine, preferably meat obtained from grass fed cows. If you buy fish, make sure it s
wild and not farm raised. Get you eggs from free range organic chickens.
Paleo recipes may also contain nuts, fruits, and vegetables, as long as they re fresh and not canned.
Foods to avoid on a paleo eating plan are grains and legumes, most dairy products, refined salt and
sugar, white flour, and alcoholic drinks.
Paleo meatloaf is made pretty much like regular meatloaf, with a couple of ingredient substitutions. ...

The only differences in this recipe is the beef should be organic and grass fed. More and more stores
now are beginning to carry organic foods, including beef. Another necessary ingredient for a good
meat loaf are bread crumbs, but of course bread(or its crumbs) are not allowed in a paleo diet, so we
must come up with a substitute if this is to be an authentic paleo meatloaf. For this you could take
some oatmeal and grind it in a food processor until it mimics the consistency of bread crumbs. The
only other change from a regular meat loaf would be in the type of catsup used. A paleo eating plan
cannot include regular store bought catsup because of the high fructose corn syrup and preservatives.
So I will include a simple recipe for a concoction that will pass as home made

Examples Of Cinematography In Inglourious Baskerds
This essay is about the movie Inglourious Basterds (2009) written and directed by Quentin Tarantino.
The significant elements of mise en scene in the film will be discussed, along with the film s elements
of cinematography in the opening scene. Film often uses editing techniques in its storytelling that infer
meaning, subtle though they may be. These techniques will be identified and discussed, and the
meanings explained. Set in Nazi occupied France during World War II, the film follows a group of
Jewish US soldiers as they plan to assassinate the leaders of the Third Reich in a movie theater. Led
by Allied officer Lieutenant Aldo Raine, played by Brad Pitt, the Basterds plan coincides with the
theater owner s vengeful plans for the same thing.
The opening shot of a film is one of the most crucial parts of a movie. In the same way that an
establishing shot introduces us into the scene, the opening shot introduces us into a movie. Although
not the most memorable, the opening shot is important because the director can use it to convey the
film s main ideas, premises or character arcs. Inglourious Basterds (2009) opens with a long shot of a
farm: lush fields of green, small farmhouse, and a man (Denis Ménochet) chopping wood at the center.
This is where action will take place. This is 1941 France and life ... Show more content on

The elements of cinematography in the film include a low angle shot looking up at the farmer as he
chops wood at the beginning of the scene. The shot is preceded by the infamous extreme long shot of
the military convoy. The director uses close ups to capture emotions throughout the entire opening
scene. Fear in the faces of the farmer s daughters as they come face to face with the Jew Hunter. Fear
in the face of the farmer when he prepares himself as the military convoy approaches. Close ups are
used at the table when the confrontation looms; the camera zooms in when the farmer begins to crack

The Characteristics Of Doctor Faustus As A Renaissance Text
1719963
EN6001 Renaissance
When answering the question of whether Doctor Faustus can be classified as a Renaissance text we
must first find out what the Renaissance is how we define the artistic and scholastic pursuits that come
from this age. We know that Renaissance just means to be reborn or rebirth. The dictionary definition
of the Renaissance age is the revival of European art and literature under the influence of classical
models in the 14th 16th centuries. The period before the Renaissance is known as the Dark or Middle
ages. It is known for a decline in the arts and the pursuit of such things. The Renaissance wasn t only
known for a growth in arts but also in the pursuit of knowledge. This was a rebirth of man questioning
his identity and his place in the universe. During this period there was an explosion in science and
discovering not only how the world works but how to make the world easier for us. This only drove
some to question more though man and his place in society. Many people believed that if science went
too far, if man tried to know too much or things he should not dabble in then it was going to be the fall
of us from grace. While others thought that science had nothing to do with religion or God and that in
fact it was our right as humans to try and learn more and grow as a race. Due to this and the
resurgence of religion during this period there was much tension between people and their ideas.
There was much call for reform from both sides, some

The Sacrament Of Baptism And Communion
THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM AND COMMUNION
The Sacrament of Baptism is a gift of grace that brings us into union with God, church, and the
Christian community. God s plan since the foundation of the of the earth was to enter into a covenant
relationship with all inhabitants, in order to bless them. The New Testament Covenant is established
through Jesus Christ and consist of baptism by water and the spirit. Mark 16:16, the one who believes
and is baptized will be saved; but the one who does not believe will be condemned (NIV). By being
obedient to Christ, we become participants in this sacred act of Baptism. Gayle Carlton Felton wrote a
book, By Water And The Spirit, and she shares about the tradition of Baptism in the United Methodist
Church. John Wesley plays a major role in helping shape the doctrine of The United Methodist
Church.
The United Methodist Church is diverse in the way it offers the Sacramental Baptism; Candidates or
their parents have the choice of sprinkling, pouring, or immersion, and pastors and congregations
should be prepared to honor the requests for baptism in any of these modes (Committee 1992, p. 81).
It is important for individuals to understand the meaning of each mode. Immersion symbolizes the
burial and resurrection with Christ, and being born of a new water and the spirit. Pouring or sprinkling
water on the head signifies pouring out of the Holy Spirit. Pastors should be able to share each mode
with the candidates. The United Methodist

Response To Conflict
The way a person responds to conflict can determine success or failure. The type of response a person
has can have an impact impact on them and the people around them. This being said, people can react
to different types of conflict in different ways. Everybody has instincts, but the instincts vary from
person to person. Fight or flight for instance is an instinct that every person experiences when conflict
arises. However whether they fight or flight differs. If someone were suddenly jumped in a dark alley,
one person might try to fight their way out while another may instinctively take off running in the
other direction. For example if I were in a fight or flight situation, I would most likely fight unless I
was outnumbered or my opponent

One could call that representation of values their own personal tabernacle. My personal tabernacle is
the woods. Ever since I was a child I would spend large quantities of time in the woods, eventually I
came to view the woods as my personal tabernacle.
The woods are not just one location and can come in many forms, but I have spent the largest amount
of time in the woods behind my old house and at my lakehouse. At my old house the woods were
spread out for several miles and were centered around a corn field. Oak trees, pine trees and birch
trees filled the woods. A large creek ran through the valley of the creek. In the winter, I would cross

Persuasive Essay On Habitat Loss
Habitat loss is a very real and very serious problem that goes on in our world today in every country.
An important species that has been experiencing habitat loss, which has caused them to become
endangered, is the sea turtle. Sea turtles have been on earth for over 110 million years and the fact that
humans have been able to introduce this much damage to them is crazy. Sea turtles are not only
extremely important to marine environments, but also to environments on shore. If sea turtles were to
go extinct, the oceans would become dead. Sea grass is one of the most important things that are
included in a sea turtles diet. When sea turtles eat sea grass, it actually helps it grow, which small fish,
shellfish and other small marine life live in. If sea turtles go extinct, this would eventually die and
with it, all marine life. The shore would suffer because sea turtles nest on the beach and their eggshells
provide nutrients to the beach, which helps beach vegetation grow and keep the sand from eroding.
Beaches have a hard time growing vegetation and sea turtle eggs help with this problem the most
efficiently.
Many ocean conservations have been trying their best to help protect sea turtle nests, which would
help replenish the sea turtle population. Sea turtle eggs and hatchlings have to try their best to protect
themselves from predators, which seem to be everywhere when sea turtle eggs and hatchlings are
around. Birds, foxes and fish are just some of the predators that prey on

Short Story Of A Balloon
Today was a pretty cold day, but I thought I would go out and do a little mushroom hunting. Being the
31st of October I thought it would be a good day to get into the spirit of things and dress up. As I got
to the park where I mushroom hunt I noticed a lot of cars in the parking lot. At times when I park in
large groups of cars, I tie a balloon to my antenna just to make the return simple. I tied the balloon to
my the wind came up and blew the rest of the balloons from my hand. Just then a car pulled in next to
me. I slowly looked over at them and It was an older woman with two little kids in the car. I smiled
and waved but when the driver saw me she got a little hysterical and put it into reverse and got out of
that spot. I continued on picking up the balloons that had now blown under my car. I was nearly laying
on the ground when I heard a small boys voice say, Mommy look Balloons ! Just then I heard a
woman scream and saw the boy yanked by the arm and dragged off like they saw a rabid dog or
something. I picked everything up and headed towards the woods. I thought to myself, I should have
given that boy a balloon, he deserves it after his mother treated him so poorly. I had a great idea, I
would blow up a bunch of balloons and leave them on the trail so he could find them. I only had one
color balloon so he would know it was me leaving them for him. As I got to the entrance of the trail I
blew up a balloon and put a long string on it and tied it to a branch. There were

The Main Features Of Feminism As A Sociological Theory
This essay would describe the main features of feminism as a sociological theory, identify the ways in
which feminism is criticised by other theories, and identify the main differences and similarities
between the theories using qualitative and quantitative evidence to support or challenge the main
theory. It will also discuss how the evidence contradicts the theories.
Sociology is the study of society. Sociology is a study that could help us to understand the relationship
between an individual and the institutions and the interdependent roles within the social relationships
(Llewellyn et al., 2008). According to Cree (2010) sociological theories are concerned with the power,
beliefs, the struggle for necessary resources in the society, ideas, values on the society, action and the
structure of the society, models of change, macro and micro economy in the society. Each of the
theories has their own argument of how they think the society should be. The sociological theories are
Maxims and Functionalism (Llewellyn et al., 2008).
Maxims describe a change in the society through conflict. They also believe in the structural and
economic theory of society that seeks to understand change and promote change. This change is
determined by economic forces, by how goods are produced and by how the means of production are
owned.
Furthermore, Maxims believe the fundamental change occurs through a class struggle where one class

The Texas Rangers By Stephen F. Austin
In the early 1800s volunteers provided security services. They were mainly enrolled to watch over
large factories and other buildings. They also want to watch over local shops. They would alarm
people of fires and the occasional burglary. Around 1823, Stephen F. Austin created the Texas
Rangers. They say this was not the official beginning of the Rangers, because some people questioned
as to whether they were actually employed as Rangers. Originally they only had around ten men to
protect close to one thousand people. Instead, after the Mexican Revolution in 1835 is when they were
officially recognized them as an institution. They were an example of the security that the government
would provide to the new settlers.
In 1850 a Chicago Businessman named Allen Pinkerton created a private guard service. He was
originally contracted to protect available property, and ended up exposing the activities have a band of
counterfeiters. In 1861, he actually received national recognition when he was able to successfully
uncover a plot to assassinate Abraham Lincoln. During the Civil War, He helped organize the federal
Secret Service that helped the union. Pinkerton security is still around today, and is a leading provider
of risk management services for organizations around the world. With the formation of this agency,
other agencies were also formed and these included Wells Fargo Company, Brinks, Burns, and others.
These agencies were often employed to track down wanted persons.

Overview of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
Pride and Prejudice is a novel written by Jane Austen. Jane Austen is an 18th 19th century English
novelist. The novel was published in 1813. Millions of copies of the novel have been sold over the

Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle. This 1995 version stays true to the original story. The conflict facing the
main character was a common one in the 19th century; women who lacked a fortune needed to marry

Summary Of The Title Of Oscar Wilde s Earnest
Title
The title of the book seems to emphasize the word Earnest by describing it as something important.
After reading through the play by Oscar Wilde, the title seems to perfectly match with the content and
plot described in the book, since it shows the irony behind the title of the importance of being earnest,
and the made up character Ernest himself. Jack s double, Ernest, is a made up character who Jack can
transform into in order to be another version of himself. When Jack is residing in the countryside at
his manor in Hertfordshire, he is Jack, his true identity, but when his is in town in London, he
transforms into his brother who is named Ernest. Gwendolen and Cecily, two young ladies that fell in
love with Ernest, seem to be only in love with this character because of his name . Even at the end of
the book when Gwendolen found out that Jack s real name wasn t Ernest, she didn t want him for a
small period of time because his name wasn t Ernest, upsetting her. At the end of the Act 3, when Jack
got introduced to his name, Ernest, which was a name given to him all along, Gwendolen seemed to
have forgiven him in an instant since his name was Ernest after all, and she knew she would only fall
in love with a man named Ernest. This imaginative character symbolizes the small value of respect
that the Victorian Society shows for ideals such as honesty, responsibility, and compassion. Instead,
ideals such as class, money, and status within the hierarchy of society seem

Notes On Self Reliance By Ralph Waldo Emerson Essay
Dynasty Allen English 2270 10/3/2016 Journal Entries (1 5) Analytic Journal #1: Self Reliance Self
Reliance is a transcendentalist essay by Ralph Waldo Emerson. The essay was published in 1841
during the transcendentalist movement. It was a way for writers to respond to or protest the general
state of intellectualism and even spirituality. He speaks in this essay about ways to avoid conforming
and also how each person should follow their own instincts and ideas. Emerson split many of the
topics in this essay into different sections. In one of the sections he speaks of the relationship between
each individual and non conformity and how each person can be self reliant. Self Reliance favors
individualism, which promotes that people use their own thoughts and desires rather than that of a
group. In the beginning of the essay Emerson says, To believe in your own thought, to believe that
what is true for you in your private heart is true for all men, that is genius. His statement captures the
essence of what he means by self reliance, namely the reliance upon one s own thoughts and ideas. He
mentions that people like Moses, Plato, and Milton, were so important because they spoke their minds
and did not only recite what was written in or memorized from books. Emerson tells his readers to
Trust thyself. Emerson also preaches for people to become nonconformists. In the essay, he explains
that for a nonconformist, No law can be sacred to me but that of my nature. Good

They don t want to share their experiences on death and try to shade their young ones from ever
discovering about it (Mullin 2008). In Islam, Muslims categorize death as the transitory period of one
state to another. The religion elaborates that living in the world is a test in which if they succeed they
reap the benefits after death. The religion signifies that death is something that should be accepted as a
part of living. This is seen apparent through old age, terminal illness, or even mourning in stages of a
Muslim s life (Aziz 1998, pp. 138 140).
Treatment of Death by Individuals Each individual on this world is unique and different in every way.
They can be different according to their values, morals, and experiences. Values and morals shape a
person on what is right or wrong and how they should react in certain situations. For example, in case
of death, some people have complete breakdowns when someone dies while others just feel dead
inside with no reaction whatsoever. Lisa Firestone states that being aware of death can allow humans
to treat life differently. Conscious awareness makes people make better decisions and try to avoid

Comparing Gothic Churches Vs. Freque Churches
I personally found Gothic style churches to be more architecturally appealing than the Romanesque
ones. The reason for this is Gothic churches were filled with light and thin, towering walls. These
characteristics were very uncommon for the dark, thick structures of Romanesque architecture. The
structure was able to be filled with such light due to three very important architectural elements. These
elements include pointed arches, ribbed vaulting, and buttresses. Thanks to these elements stained
glass windows were added to Gothic cathedrals. The translucent walls were more than just decoration.
The windows allowed for the illiterate public to interact with Christian scripture. Overall in my
opinion the elements of Gothic architecture is better than the Romanesque architecture.

The two styles are polar opposites of each other. Gothic architectural structures were thin, light filled,
towering structures. Romanesque architectural structures were dark, thick, and short. The new Gothic
style created the light filled and towering looks by replacing elements of Romanesque churches. The
style replaced round arches with pointed arches that weren t limited to width and height. It also moved
the massive piers of Romanesque churches to the exterior. This created flying buttresses which are
stone arms that braced the nave walls. This allowed for the walls to be filled with glass instead of
masonry. Masonry was a huge characteristic of Romanesque architecture. These churches were filled
with paintings and mosques on the walls. There was no need for light to fill the churches because the
public didn t use them only monks. This changed in the Gothic period and the public was finally
allowed access to the churches. The architects then decided to open up the structures and allow divine

concentration increases increase up to its maximum value at x = 0.4 and then decreases. The initial
permeability of ferrite material depends on many factors like reversible domain wall displacement,
domain wall bulging as well as microstructural features viz., average grain size, intra granular
porosity, etc. [35]. According to Globus model [65], the initial permeability is dependent on the grain
size, saturation magnetization, and magnetocrystalline anisotropy, , where , and D are saturation
magnetization, the magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant and the average grain size, respectively.
Generally, the larger grain sizes, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This disturbs the movement of domain walls [66, 67]. When this exaggerated grain growth occurs,
porosity will increase [54, 68]. However, the variation of initial permeability with Al content was not
consistent with the variation of microstructures, saturation magnetization, the bulk density and the
above empirical principle. This phenomenon might be explained by the equation, , where is the initial
permeability, is the saturation magnetization, is the magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant, λ is the
magnetostriction constant, σ is the inner stress and a, b are two constants [69]. According to Nlebedim
et al. [70] Al substitution plays a crucial role in the properties of Co ferrites by reducing
magnetostriction effects. This is because substitution of nonmagnetic Al3+ cations for Fe weakening
the super exchange interaction between the A sites and B sites which also lowers the
magnetocrystalline anisotropy. It is known that the anisotropy field in ferrites results from the
presence of Fe2+ ions which formed during the sintering process [32]. The change in can be estimated
qualitatively by applying the single ion anisotropy model [55, 71] which shows that Fe3+ ions in A
and B sites contribute to the anisotropy energy. The Fe3+ ion occupying A site has a positive value of
anisotropy constant while the one occupying B site has a negative value twice as large as

Personality Theories
Personality Theories
Almost everyday we describe and assess the personalities of the people around us. Whether we realize

personality psychologists do. Personality psychology looks at the patterns of thoughts, feelings, and
behavior that make a person unique. Some of the best known theories in psychology are devoted to the
subject of personality.

The psychoanalytic view holds that there are inner forces outside of your awareness that are directing
your behavior. For example, a psychoanalyst might say that James misspoke due to unresolved
feelings for his ex or perhaps because of misgivings about his new relationship.
The founder of psychoanalytic theory was Sigmund Freud. While his theories were considered
shocking at the time and continue to create debate and controversy, his work had a profound influence
on a number of disciplines, including psychology, sociology, anthropology, literature, and art.
The term psychoanalysis is used to refer to many aspects of Freud s work and research, including
Freudian therapy and the research methodology he used to develop his theories. Freud relied heavily
upon his observations and case studies of his patients when he formed his theory of personality
development.
Before we can understand Freud s theory of personality, we must first understand his view of how the
mind is organized.
According to Freud, the mind can be divided into two main parts:
1. The conscious mind includes everything that we are aware of. This is the aspect of our mental
processing that we can think and talk about rationally. A part of this includes our memory, which is not
always part of consciousness but can be retrieved easily at any time and brought into our awareness.
Freud called this ordinary memory the preconscious.
2. The unconscious mind

Great Chicago Fire Was A Tragedy
T he Great Chicago fire was a tragic. We never knew what actual happened we just have theory s. We
think we know what happened but what we do know was why it was so fierce.
The theory is that a women by the name of Mrs. O Leary was milking her cow when the cow kicked a
lantern that was used to light up the barn. What they think happened is that the fire got out of hand,
before the firefighters got there. It spread so fast from the dry and humid weather. What didn t help the
fact is that the whole city was made out of wood. The city only had one water supply and the city was
full of oil.
Chicago in the 1871 was no more. There was nothing left after this tragic. The fire got so bad that they

Reasons For Not Accepting Acts As A Historical Record
Consider Paul, and you will see that our being mortal brings us the greatest benefits (Chrysostom,
NCE p216). Mortality means being subject to death, and this is a result of the human race not being
perfect; not being consistent. When observing ancient accounts of what occurred, it is necessary to
remember the mortality of all people, and the inevitable debates that will arise over discrepancies in
different sources citing the same instance. Paul of Tarsus is a man who s life is highly debated, I,
however, would argue that though Paul was once a Jewish leader, he experienced a conversion and
helped start the new Jesus movement. He then preached what he believed about Jesus to anyone,
despite much controversy. In order to dive into these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another argument for the validity of Acts is that Luke was inseparable from Paul (NCE p186
Irenaeus). Many times throughout Acts the author, presumably Luke, says we , referring to the fact
that he was with Paul throughout the book (the we passages in Acts include Acts 16:10 17, 20:5 15,
21:1 18, and 27:1 28:16). Surely if the author was there, it is a reliable view, yet different perspective,
of what occurred in Paul s life. Other important and reliable sources from the Bible are Paul s epistles.
Many say that theses undisputed letters present a seemingly completely different person of Paul than
Acts presents, but I am willing to argue that this is simply due to differing perspectives. Two people
viewing or living the same thing will almost always result in somewhat different stories. I do not think
that there are any contradictions between the two that are big enough to invalidate either of the
sources. The final sources I will use are the opinions of both ancient and modern critics, as well as
ancient sources. Even Paul s background and the basis of who he was is heavily debated. According to
Acts 22:3, Paul was born in Tarsus, but raised and educated in Jerusalem by the pharisee Gamaliel. As
he was raised in the Jewish church, he became a prominent Jewish leader, with his main focus on
persecuting those who followed Jesus (Acts 8:1 3,

Sims 4 Essay
It s nearly midnight, children! Now sit down around the fire and I ll tell you a spooky story about
ghosts in The Sims 4... first things first:
IFrame
Spooooooky!
1. What is The Sims 4: Ghosts ?
Ghosts was one of the major 2014 updates to Sims 4. As you know, ghosts have been haunting the
Sims for a while now, tapping their spooky fingers on your shoulder when you re in the toilet,
haunting your garden, lurking around corridors. In Sims 4, they could only be non playable characters
originally. When your Sim died, a non playing character (NPC) ghost attached to a gravestone near
your Sims house and hangs out doing a bit of haunting.

Ghosts have some spooky abilities
The skills and abilities that ghosts have is mostly determined by how they died, and how they re
feeling. Some of the extra fun properties of ghosts (as well as a few things they can t do) are listed
below:
Ghosts have little graphics changes that reflect how they died e.g. if your ghost died of hunger, there
will be a small wispy cloud floating near its stomach. If it died by Cowplant, it will be able to help
plants grow, or kill them if it s in a bad mood!
Ghost s body colour matches their emotions. If a ghost is angry, it goes red. If it s dark blue, it sad. A
ghost who is feeling fine will be white, and a flirty ghost is a lovely shade of pink.
Ghosts can walk through the walls when they feel like it. If they don t feel like it, they won t!
Ghosts can possess objects, making them move around or break. Luckily the ghost can also repair
them!
Ghosts can t die, and they can t have children (as far as we know! happy to be proved wrong on this
one.)
You re going to kill me?! Don t make me laugh...uggh..aggh ...aaaaahhhh!
4. How do you get to be a ghost?
It s pretty obvious, but to get a ghost you have to kill a Sim. There are quite a few ways of dying,
including laughter, mortification, overexertion, hunger, old age, Cowplant, anger, fire or electrocution.

Video Industry And Its Impact On Children
While we are enthusiasts of entertainment and thrilling action, we are parental figures to the next
generation of children on their way. Violence presented in media potentially affects children through
vivid depictions of gore and tragedy, blurring the line between reality and fictionalized drama. The
film industry and its supporters thrive off of these displays, drawing in crowds of spectators which
provide the industry with an extraordinary amount of profit. Although many of these parents are also
part of the viewing demographic of movies, concern looms in the access to this mature content. With
the expansion of technology, access to inappropriate scenes and games are accessible to a child who is

An alteration of ticket prices contains a solution for this case. Despite standards which impede the
youth s contact with violence in films and entertainment, there are many methods which break down
the systems placed, including ratings, in order to access this content and this is where the problem lies.
The film industry does not consider changing the appeal of entertainment due to this issue. The film
industry is dependent on adults and children alike in order to sustain their economic success. Without
the support of the general public, their profit would plummet and create chaos in the entertainment
industry itself. While not allowing children to attend rated R movies with their parents seems like the
simplest solution, it is not a plausible one. Upset parents and loss of profit for billion dollar companies
impedes this solution s implementation. The dangers of children being exposed to violence in media
content is a great concern to many but not to the film industry. Additionally, many parents are
uninformed and do not recognize the potential harm associated with exposing children to fictionalized
violence. For a solution to exist between concerned parents and an industry focused around profit,
negotiation has to benefit the multibillion dollar industry in its primary focus. In

Descriptive Essay On Nantucketu
I am fortunate enough to live on the beautiful island of Nantucket. Growing up here in such a close

Nantucket is full of incredible wildlife and conservation land that is so unique it looks untouched.
Wintertime, when all the summer people leave, you know everybody on the island. It s literally
impossible to drive through town without seeing a familiar face. But by the time summer comes the
island explodes with electricity that s unlike anywhere else. Massive yachts pack our tiny harbor and
enormous private jets fill the airport on the weekends. Having such a drastic change is something that
makes Nantucket so unique. Personally, I don t have a favorite season, Nantucket is perfect year round
and that s why I feel so blessed to call it home. When the days are shorter and the water is colder the
tourists are driven away, leaving a small community, one of the greatest communities on the planet. So
close that when someone dies it can affect the whole island. The best feature Nantucket has to offer is
how the locals come together and help others in need. When something happens, news travels fast and
everyone knows. Having a small community also makes our sports teams closer, we have no choice
but to play together. We spend a lot more time together than other teams, every away game we have to
take a boat then a school bus to the game. Doing that gets us more comfortable with each other

Why A Pressure Washer Is Useful And Worth The Expense
If you re thinking of buying a pressure washer to clean the siding on your house, but you re afraid it s
not a good investment since you don t need to clean your siding very often, you don t have to worry. A
pressure washer is one of the most useful pieces of cleaning equipment you can own. You ll find a
variety of uses for it such as cleaning your driveway and washing your car or truck. Here are a few
other uses for a pressure washer you may not have considered.
Bring An Old Wood Fence Back To Life
A pressure washer is great for blasting dirt off a chain link or vinyl fence. However, it really comes in
handy when you want to restore an old wood fence. As a wood fence ages, the wood oxidizes and
turns a silver or gray color. What you may not know is that the silver color is just on the surface and
you can blast it off with a pressure washer. Just don t use a setting that s so high it damages the wood.
Adjust the pressure so the water is strong enough to take off the silver layer and the color of your
fence will be restored so you fence practically looks brand new. ... Show more content on

MFA Thesis Exhibition
Last week I visited the George Caleb Bingham Gallery to see an artist s work. Her name was Mary
Margaret Sandbothe and her collection of art was at the MFA Thesis Exhibition. Now, I am not one for
looking at art and being able to interpret it easily, but when I arrived to see her work I was pleasantly
surprised. I was in awe of artwork at first glance.
First, what I noticed was that the main overlook of all her pieces included same sex relationships or
couples. Furthermore, it exemplified families with same sex parents. For example, there was one piece
that had presented two dads with an African American child. This shows the reality of what the world

One piece presents two men lying on a blanket in a park enjoying the day outside. Normally, all
couples do this. Now, the society we live in people would look at this like it was uncommon, but
slowly people are starting to accept this as the norm. The other piece shown is two men sitting at a
table with their son seemingly helping him with his homework like a happy family. Yes, she is
presenting how families do work with same sex marriages if you are open to it. At least that is what I
see in my opinion.
Lastly, she had another piece of two men looking marry while holding a newborn baby. This could
possibly mean that they had adopted or fostered a child. It s a beautiful sight because they are so
happy and blessed to have this baby in their life. Again, Sandbothe is prominently making a statement
here about our society and its view on same sex relationships.
Now, with that being said, she had many pieces presented in her work at this exhibit and I found it
very intriguing how bold she was. She is not only speaking for the LGBT community, but also
speaking to our society and how we should be more accepting of change. The world is continuously
evolving and we must not sit back and expect it to go back to the way it was. We must embrace

The Melting Pot By Harriet Jacobs
American is the melting pot of the world and because of this; we can enjoy a bounty of American
Ethnic Literature. What does this mean? American Ethnic Literature are the poems, novels, and
histories written by the minority peoples of this new world. They were the outsiders of a
predominately white world and therefore had an experience like no other. African American, Native
Americans and Mexican Americans have a rich deep heritage that was immortalized in writing.
African American Literature began as graphic slave narratives, accounting life in bondage by the slave
themselves. The readers were enlightened to the cruelties of life as a slave and also the ways that
slaves managed to escape. People were finally given a glimpse into the horrors of slavery and the fight
of the African American people. In 1859, America saw one of the first autobiographical/fiction novels
written by Harriet Jacobs. In Incidents in the Life of a Slave Girl, folks were let into life as a
indentured slave girl. Abused by the white family that owned her, she finds a way to respect herself
and became self sufficient. This novel gave society of taste of things that were spoken of only behind

In 1900 there was very little people could do during a hot spell except grumble about the weather or if

With air conditioning has changed this. With air conditioning you can be comfortable anywhere

The air conditioning systems of the future may work by what is known as thermoelectric. A
thermoelectric unit is very small and very quiet. It is made up of tiny couples, each couple consisting
of a pair of semiconductors and connected in parallel current. These couples produce cooling at one
end and heating at other when direct flows through them. This is called Peatier effect. When the
current is reversed, the cooling and heating effects also reverse. When a way is found to produce this
tiny thermoelectric unit cheaply, they may cool and heat your whole house.

What Role Should Illegal Drugs
What role should illegal drugs have in the future of medicine?
In the UK drugs legislation classified 5 schedules in which substances must be categorised. The
Schedule 1 groups the substances that are considered of no therapeutic value, thus they are
determinate illegal. It is not possible to buy or own those substances and the use of them in research
may be authorised only with a Home Office licence. Although this legislation might discourage the
research on illegal drug for therapeutic purpose, recent studies suggest that magic mushrooms, LSD
and MDMA could help with mental and physical pathologies. This essay will briefly describe how
substances operate in the body. In addition, there will be an investigation on the use of illegal drugs
for therapeutic purpose.
According to the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, it is considered a drug any natural or chemical
substance that has the property of affecting the structure or function of the body. However, this
definition do not include food. Drugs can be administrated by injection, orally, inhaled, insufflations,
rectally or topically. After the drug has been administrated it is absorbed by the body and directed to
the blood stream. The timing of this process will depend on the drug itself and the method of
administration that has been used. From here the molecules derived from the drug are absorbed by the
cells, where chemical reactions occur. When the molecules have been discharged from the cell, they
are taken back in the

Age-Related Macular Degeneration Paper
The research topic I will be introducing is Age Related Macular Degeneration. This has been classified
as a degenerative disorder that distresses the macula in one s eye. AMD is unfortunately a common
illness that individuals over 65 suffer from and that is a central cause vision loss. AMD doesn t have a
set disease pathway, in some individuals it advances slowly so that loss of vision does not arise for a
long time. The disease can also advance much quicker and may lead to lack of vision in either or both
eyes. The disease begins a blurry area near the center of one s vision which grows larger and larger
possibly causing a blank space in the eye (Boyd, 2013). Research is being done on AMD because it is

A Report On Bmw Z8
To the casual observer, the BMW Z8 looks like a 1960s roadster, its swoopy retro esque lines belying
the fact that it first saw light of day in 1999. BMW wanted to create a car to celebrate the turn of the
millennium, bringing together its past and future in one design. Therefore the aluminium bodied Z8
draws heavily from Z07 concept car seen only a few years earlier at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show,
which in turn pays homage to the original BMW 507 from the 1950s. The car was met with great
excitement by both the motoring press and customers alike, an appearance in the James Bond movie,
The World is Not Enough cemented its place as a desirable exotic.
Rivals in this retro modern category were thin on the ground, and there were precious few cars to
which the Z8 could be compared, especially when looking at its traditional German counterparts.
BMW itself had a model range comprising only of the 3, 5 and 7 series with the recently introduced
X5 having just dipped an adventurous toe into untapped segments. The 8 series was in its last year and
rivals had a similarly modest set of offerings to choose from. You had to move to look at niche
manufacturers and up your budget considerably to find any meaningful challengers, the Ferrari 360
and Aston Martin DB7 come to mind and while both have their merits, it is the Z8 that is now worth
considerably more than either of those cars in today s market.

Their focus on cost efficiency while managing operating expenditures to ensure adequate cash and
liquidity is the cost leadership approach much like Carnival Cruise Lines. RCCL has consolidated its
marine operations into one single and global organization to gain competitive advantage through
economies of scale for its entire fleet. The differentiation approach by Royal Caribbean is their
commitment to building state of the art ships, and to further enhance their technological capabilities to
service customer preferences and expectations in an innovative manner (Royal Caribbean Annual
Report, 2015). Royal Caribbean understands that innovation and technology play a pivotal role in all
of its operations, and that can create superior performance relative to its competitors. They also
believe that their state of the art ships will deliver that competitive advantage they are desiring with
their differentiation approach. Royal Caribbean has done it again for the third time with their
introduction of the Harmony of the Seas, which can accommodate at total capacity 6,780 passengers
which allows them to keep the world s largest cruise ship crown in the Royal family (Lipsey,

Using The Percentage Method For Success For Redbox s New...
The objectives have been created and detriment and the next step is to weight the importance of each
objective as they are not equally important. After an extensive discussion, we decided to use the
percentage method to incorporate the different degree of important of each objective. We decided that
Number on internet users is the most important and we gave it 50% as it is crucial for RedBox s new
location to have less internet users which means more demand and more profit. Limited number of
theaters take the second spot with 30%. Limited number of theaters means clients prefer an indoor

Hence, China, Japan, and Russia have a greater percentage while Russia have a lower percentage than
the ideal VALUE. To scale these number as a percentage of the ideal we divided the value of each
option by the ideal value as it shown below in figure 3.
Ideal Option Percentage
1.48 Japan 1.08 1.8/1.48= 1.22 2 (1.22) = 0.78
1.48 China 2.0 2.0/1.48= 1.35 2 (1.35) = 0.65
1.48 Russia 1.36 1.36/1.48= 0.92 2 (0.92) = 1.08
On the account that lower value indicates lower internet users, we converted the values by subtracting
the quotient from 2. As a results, Japan achieved 78% of the ideal, China achieved 65% of the ideal,
and Russia achieved 1.08% of the ideal. figure 4 Same process can be applied to the objective limited
number of theaters. Results shown in figure 5.
Ideal Option Percentage
0.14 Japan 0.07 0.07/0.14= 0.5 2 (0.5)= 1.5
0.14 China 0.05 0.05/0.14= 0.36 2 (0.36)= 1.64
0.14 Russia 0.31 0.31/0.14= 2.21 2 (2.21)= 0.21
That being the case, Japan achieved 1.5 % of the ideal value, China Achieved 1.64 % value while
Russia achieved 21% of the ideal value.
Poor Weather Conditions
As for poor weather condition, the ideal value ideal is 41.87%. However, the poor condition weather
percentage for Japan is 67.1%, China at 38.4% and for Russia is 20.1%. The standardized results are
shown in figure 5.

  • 2. An Essay On Paleo Diet The paleo diet is an eating plan that will restore your body to the healthy state intended by mother nature, and keep your weight at a healthy level as well. It is predicated on the assertion that by getting back to basics and eating the way our paleolithic ancestors did, we won t be subjecting our bodies to all the chemicals and preservatives in modern foods. It restricts our diet to one similar to the way the cavemen ate. This means eating foods that can be fished out of the river, hunted in the woods, or gathered. Of course, most people don t hunt for their meat these days, so buying lean meat at the grocery store will be fine, preferably meat obtained from grass fed cows. If you buy fish, make sure it s wild and not farm raised. Get you eggs from free range organic chickens. Paleo recipes may also contain nuts, fruits, and vegetables, as long as they re fresh and not canned. Foods to avoid on a paleo eating plan are grains and legumes, most dairy products, refined salt and sugar, white flour, and alcoholic drinks. Paleo meatloaf is made pretty much like regular meatloaf, with a couple of ingredient substitutions. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The only differences in this recipe is the beef should be organic and grass fed. More and more stores now are beginning to carry organic foods, including beef. Another necessary ingredient for a good meat loaf are bread crumbs, but of course bread(or its crumbs) are not allowed in a paleo diet, so we must come up with a substitute if this is to be an authentic paleo meatloaf. For this you could take some oatmeal and grind it in a food processor until it mimics the consistency of bread crumbs. The only other change from a regular meat loaf would be in the type of catsup used. A paleo eating plan cannot include regular store bought catsup because of the high fructose corn syrup and preservatives. So I will include a simple recipe for a concoction that will pass as home made ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Examples Of Cinematography In Inglourious Baskerds This essay is about the movie Inglourious Basterds (2009) written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. The significant elements of mise en scene in the film will be discussed, along with the film s elements of cinematography in the opening scene. Film often uses editing techniques in its storytelling that infer meaning, subtle though they may be. These techniques will be identified and discussed, and the meanings explained. Set in Nazi occupied France during World War II, the film follows a group of Jewish US soldiers as they plan to assassinate the leaders of the Third Reich in a movie theater. Led by Allied officer Lieutenant Aldo Raine, played by Brad Pitt, the Basterds plan coincides with the theater owner s vengeful plans for the same thing. The opening shot of a film is one of the most crucial parts of a movie. In the same way that an establishing shot introduces us into the scene, the opening shot introduces us into a movie. Although not the most memorable, the opening shot is important because the director can use it to convey the film s main ideas, premises or character arcs. Inglourious Basterds (2009) opens with a long shot of a farm: lush fields of green, small farmhouse, and a man (Denis Ménochet) chopping wood at the center. This is where action will take place. This is 1941 France and life ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The elements of cinematography in the film include a low angle shot looking up at the farmer as he chops wood at the beginning of the scene. The shot is preceded by the infamous extreme long shot of the military convoy. The director uses close ups to capture emotions throughout the entire opening scene. Fear in the faces of the farmer s daughters as they come face to face with the Jew Hunter. Fear in the face of the farmer when he prepares himself as the military convoy approaches. • 4. The Characteristics Of Doctor Faustus As A Renaissance Text 1719963 EN6001 Renaissance When answering the question of whether Doctor Faustus can be classified as a Renaissance text we must first find out what the Renaissance is how we define the artistic and scholastic pursuits that come from this age. We know that Renaissance just means to be reborn or rebirth. The dictionary definition of the Renaissance age is the revival of European art and literature under the influence of classical models in the 14th 16th centuries. The period before the Renaissance is known as the Dark or Middle ages. It is known for a decline in the arts and the pursuit of such things. The Renaissance wasn t only known for a growth in arts but also in the pursuit of knowledge. This was a rebirth of man questioning his identity and his place in the universe. During this period there was an explosion in science and discovering not only how the world works but how to make the world easier for us. This only drove some to question more though man and his place in society. Many people believed that if science went too far, if man tried to know too much or things he should not dabble in then it was going to be the fall of us from grace. While others thought that science had nothing to do with religion or God and that in fact it was our right as humans to try and learn more and grow as a race. Due to this and the resurgence of religion during this period there was much tension between people and their ideas. There was much call for reform from both sides, some ... • 5. The Sacrament Of Baptism And Communion THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM AND COMMUNION The Sacrament of Baptism is a gift of grace that brings us into union with God, church, and the Christian community. God s plan since the foundation of the of the earth was to enter into a covenant relationship with all inhabitants, in order to bless them. The New Testament Covenant is established through Jesus Christ and consist of baptism by water and the spirit. Mark 16:16, the one who believes and is baptized will be saved; but the one who does not believe will be condemned (NIV). By being obedient to Christ, we become participants in this sacred act of Baptism. Gayle Carlton Felton wrote a book, By Water And The Spirit, and she shares about the tradition of Baptism in the United Methodist Church. John Wesley plays a major role in helping shape the doctrine of The United Methodist Church. The United Methodist Church is diverse in the way it offers the Sacramental Baptism; Candidates or their parents have the choice of sprinkling, pouring, or immersion, and pastors and congregations should be prepared to honor the requests for baptism in any of these modes (Committee 1992, p. 81). It is important for individuals to understand the meaning of each mode. Immersion symbolizes the burial and resurrection with Christ, and being born of a new water and the spirit. Pouring or sprinkling water on the head signifies pouring out of the Holy Spirit. Pastors should be able to share each mode with the candidates. The United Methodist ... This being said, people can react to different types of conflict in different ways. Everybody has instincts, but the instincts vary from person to person. Fight or flight for instance is an instinct that every person experiences when conflict arises. However whether they fight or flight differs. The woods are not just one location and can come in many forms, but I have spent the largest amount of time in the woods behind my old house and at my lakehouse. At my old house the woods were spread out for several miles and were centered around a corn field. Oak trees, pine trees and birch trees filled the woods. • 9. Persuasive Essay On Habitat Loss Habitat loss is a very real and very serious problem that goes on in our world today in every country. An important species that has been experiencing habitat loss, which has caused them to become endangered, is the sea turtle. Sea turtles have been on earth for over 110 million years and the fact that humans have been able to introduce this much damage to them is crazy. Sea turtles are not only extremely important to marine environments, but also to environments on shore. If sea turtles were to go extinct, the oceans would become dead. Sea grass is one of the most important things that are included in a sea turtles diet. When sea turtles eat sea grass, it actually helps it grow, which small fish, shellfish and other small marine life live in. If sea turtles go extinct, this would eventually die and with it, all marine life. The shore would suffer because sea turtles nest on the beach and their eggshells provide nutrients to the beach, which helps beach vegetation grow and keep the sand from eroding. Beaches have a hard time growing vegetation and sea turtle eggs help with this problem the most efficiently. Many ocean conservations have been trying their best to help protect sea turtle nests, which would help replenish the sea turtle population. Being the 31st of October I thought it would be a good day to get into the spirit of things and dress up. As I got to the park where I mushroom hunt I noticed a lot of cars in the parking lot. At times when I park in large groups of cars, I tie a balloon to my antenna just to make the return simple. I tied the balloon to my the wind came up and blew the rest of the balloons from my hand. Just then a car pulled in next to me. I slowly looked over at them and It was an older woman with two little kids in the car. I smiled and waved but when the driver saw me she got a little hysterical and put it into reverse and got out of that spot. I continued on picking up the balloons that had now blown under my car. I was nearly laying on the ground when I heard a small boys voice say, Mommy look Balloons ! Just then I heard a woman scream and saw the boy yanked by the arm and dragged off like they saw a rabid dog or something. I picked everything up and headed towards the woods. I thought to myself, I should have given that boy a balloon, he deserves it after his mother treated him so poorly. I had a great idea, I would blow up a bunch of balloons and leave them on the trail so he could find them. I only had one color balloon so he would know it was me leaving them for him. As I got to the entrance of the trail I blew up a balloon and put a long string on it and tied it to a branch. There were ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. The Main Features Of Feminism As A Sociological Theory This essay would describe the main features of feminism as a sociological theory, identify the ways in which feminism is criticised by other theories, and identify the main differences and similarities between the theories using qualitative and quantitative evidence to support or challenge the main theory. It will also discuss how the evidence contradicts the theories. Sociology is the study of society. Sociology is a study that could help us to understand the relationship between an individual and the institutions and the interdependent roles within the social relationships (Llewellyn et al., 2008). According to Cree (2010) sociological theories are concerned with the power, beliefs, the struggle for necessary resources in the society, ideas, values on the society, action and the structure of the society, models of change, macro and micro economy in the society. Each of the theories has their own argument of how they think the society should be. The sociological theories are Maxims and Functionalism (Llewellyn et al., 2008). Maxims describe a change in the society through conflict. They also believe in the structural and economic theory of society that seeks to understand change and promote change. This change is determined by economic forces, by how goods are produced and by how the means of production are owned. Furthermore, Maxims believe the fundamental change occurs through a class struggle where one class overthrowing another after a class struggle between, for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

After reading through the play by Oscar Wilde, the title seems to perfectly match with the content and plot described in the book, since it shows the irony behind the title of the importance of being earnest, and the made up character Ernest himself. Jack s double, Ernest, is a made up character who Jack can transform into in order to be another version of himself. When Jack is residing in the countryside at his manor in Hertfordshire, he is Jack, his true identity, but when his is in town in London, he transforms into his brother who is named Ernest. Gwendolen and Cecily, two young ladies that fell in love with Ernest, seem to be only in love with this character because of his name . Even at the end of the book when Gwendolen found out that Jack s real name wasn t Ernest, she didn t want him for a small period of time because his name wasn t Ernest, upsetting her. At the end of the Act 3, when Jack got introduced to his name, Ernest, which was a name given to him all along, Gwendolen seemed to have forgiven him in an instant since his name was Ernest after all, and she knew she would only fall in love with a man named Ernest. Notes On Self Reliance By Ralph Waldo Emerson Essay Dynasty Allen English 2270 10/3/2016 Journal Entries (1 5) Analytic Journal #1: Self Reliance Self Reliance is a transcendentalist essay by Ralph Waldo Emerson. The essay was published in 1841 during the transcendentalist movement. It was a way for writers to respond to or protest the general state of intellectualism and even spirituality. He speaks in this essay about ways to avoid conforming and also how each person should follow their own instincts and ideas. Emerson split many of the topics in this essay into different sections. In one of the sections he speaks of the relationship between each individual and non conformity and how each person can be self reliant. Self Reliance favors individualism, which promotes that people use their own thoughts and desires rather than that of a group. In the beginning of the essay Emerson says, To believe in your own thought, to believe that what is true for you in your private heart is true for all men, that is genius. His statement captures the essence of what he means by self reliance, namely the reliance upon one s own thoughts and ideas. He mentions that people like Moses, Plato, and Milton, were so important because they spoke their minds and did not only recite what was written in or memorized from books. Emerson tells his readers to Trust thyself. Emerson also preaches for people to become nonconformists. In the essay, he explains that for a nonconformist, No law can be sacred to me but that of my nature. Good ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The religion signifies that death is something that should be accepted as a part of living. This is seen apparent through old age, terminal illness, or even mourning in stages of a Muslim s life (Aziz 1998, pp. 138 140). Treatment of Death by Individuals Each individual on this world is unique and different in every way. They can be different according to their values, morals, and experiences. The reason for this is Gothic churches were filled with light and thin, towering walls. These characteristics were very uncommon for the dark, thick structures of Romanesque architecture. The structure was able to be filled with such light due to three very important architectural elements. These elements include pointed arches, ribbed vaulting, and buttresses. Thanks to these elements stained glass windows were added to Gothic cathedrals. The translucent walls were more than just decoration. It is clear that, as Al concentration increases increase up to its maximum value at x = 0.4 and then decreases. The initial permeability of ferrite material depends on many factors like reversible domain wall displacement, domain wall bulging as well as microstructural features viz., average grain size, intra granular porosity, etc. [35]. According to Globus model [65], the initial permeability is dependent on the grain size, saturation magnetization, and magnetocrystalline anisotropy, , where , and D are saturation magnetization, the magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant and the average grain size, respectively. Generally, the larger grain sizes, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This disturbs the movement of domain walls [66, 67]. When this exaggerated grain growth occurs, porosity will increase [54, 68]. However, the variation of initial permeability with Al content was not consistent with the variation of microstructures, saturation magnetization, the bulk density and the above empirical principle. This phenomenon might be explained by the equation, , where is the initial permeability, is the saturation magnetization, is the magnetocrystalline anisotropy constant, λ is the magnetostriction constant, σ is the inner stress and a, b are two constants [69]. According to Nlebedim et al. [70] Al substitution plays a crucial role in the properties of Co ferrites by reducing magnetostriction effects. This is because substitution of nonmagnetic Al3+ cations for Fe weakening the super exchange interaction between the A sites and B sites which also lowers the magnetocrystalline anisotropy. It is known that the anisotropy field in ferrites results from the presence of Fe2+ ions which formed during the sintering process [32]. The change in can be estimated qualitatively by applying the single ion anisotropy model [55, 71] which shows that Fe3+ ions in A and B sites contribute to the anisotropy energy. The Fe3+ ion occupying A site has a positive value of anisotropy constant while the one occupying B site has a negative value twice as large as ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The conscious mind includes everything that we are aware of. This is the aspect of our mental processing that we can think and talk about rationally. Mortality means being subject to death, and this is a result of the human race not being perfect; not being consistent. When observing ancient accounts of what occurred, it is necessary to remember the mortality of all people, and the inevitable debates that will arise over discrepancies in different sources citing the same instance. Paul of Tarsus is a man who s life is highly debated, I, however, would argue that though Paul was once a Jewish leader, he experienced a conversion and helped start the new Jesus movement. Surely if the author was there, it is a reliable view, yet different perspective, of what occurred in Paul s life. Other important and reliable sources from the Bible are Paul s epistles. Many say that theses undisputed letters present a seemingly completely different person of Paul than Acts presents, but I am willing to argue that this is simply due to differing perspectives. • 33. Descriptive Essay On Nantucketu I am fortunate enough to live on the beautiful island of Nantucket. Growing up here in such a close knit community, has put me aside from your average high schooler in the best way possible. Nantucket is full of incredible wildlife and conservation land that is so unique it looks untouched. Wintertime, when all the summer people leave, you know everybody on the island. It s literally impossible to drive through town without seeing a familiar face. But by the time summer comes the island explodes with electricity that s unlike anywhere else. Massive yachts pack our tiny harbor and enormous private jets fill the airport on the weekends. Having such a drastic change is something that makes Nantucket so unique. Personally, I don t have a favorite season, Nantucket is perfect year round and that s why I feel so blessed to call it home. When the days are shorter and the water is colder the tourists are driven away, leaving a small community, one of the greatest communities on the planet. So close that when someone dies it can affect the whole island. The best feature Nantucket has to offer is how the locals come together and help others in need. When something happens, news travels fast and everyone knows. Having a small community also makes our sports teams closer, we have no choice but to play together. We spend a lot more time together than other teams, every away game we have to take a boat then a school bus to the game. Doing that gets us more comfortable with each other ... Pressure Washer Research Paper Why A Pressure Washer Is Useful And Worth The Expense If you re thinking of buying a pressure washer to clean the siding on your house, but you re afraid it s not a good investment since you don t need to clean your siding very often, you don t have to worry. A pressure washer is one of the most useful pieces of cleaning equipment you can own. You ll find a variety of uses for it such as cleaning your driveway and washing your car or truck. Here are a few other uses for a pressure washer you may not have considered. Bring An Old Wood Fence Back To Life A pressure washer is great for blasting dirt off a chain link or vinyl fence. However, it really comes in handy when you want to restore an old wood fence. As a wood fence ages, the wood oxidizes and turns a silver or gray color. What you may not know is that the silver color is just on the surface and you can blast it off with a pressure washer. Just don t use a setting that s so high it damages the wood. Adjust the pressure so the water is strong enough to take off the silver layer and the color of your fence will be restored so you fence practically looks brand new. ... If you have a pressure washer, you can keep up with your wasp patrol much easier. You don t have to get as close to the nests as you do if you use a broom. Plus, the pressure washer has more power so it can knock a nest down when a garden hose does little more than just soak it. Her name was Mary Margaret Sandbothe and her collection of art was at the MFA Thesis Exhibition. Now, I am not one for looking at art and being able to interpret it easily, but when I arrived to see her work I was pleasantly surprised. I was in awe of artwork at first glance. First, what I noticed was that the main overlook of all her pieces included same sex relationships or couples. Furthermore, it exemplified families with same sex parents. For example, there was one piece that had presented two dads with an African American child. This shows the reality of what the world is like today. People don t want to accept change, but she is putting it out there ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One piece presents two men lying on a blanket in a park enjoying the day outside. Normally, all couples do this. Now, the society we live in people would look at this like it was uncommon, but slowly people are starting to accept this as the norm. The other piece shown is two men sitting at a table with their son seemingly helping him with his homework like a happy family. Yes, she is presenting how families do work with same sex marriages if you are open to it. At least that is what I see in my opinion. Lastly, she had another piece of two men looking marry while holding a newborn baby. This could possibly mean that they had adopted or fostered a child. It s a beautiful sight because they are so happy and blessed to have this baby in their life. Again, Sandbothe is prominently making a statement here about our society and its view on same sex relationships. Now, with that being said, she had many pieces presented in her work at this exhibit and I found it very intriguing how bold she was. She is not only speaking for the LGBT community, but also speaking to our society and how we should be more accepting of change. American Ethnic Literature are the poems, novels, and histories written by the minority peoples of this new world. These couples produce cooling at one end and heating at other when direct flows through them. This is called Peatier effect. This was followed by NS2 then by NS3, each version an improvement on the package before. These were virtual applications where the designers sought to model networks in a manner that best suited available network research, and the authors collective experiences. These packages were capable of designing a network, and some terminology and components used are common to all discrete event simulation systems. Unfortunately, there is no standardised set of terms and the naming can vary in literature making the packages not entirely user friendly; ( the NS3 for example uses programing labelled C++ and the main networking commands were known by only a few IT specialists). The Cisco Packet Tracer is a self paced, visual, interactive teaching and learning tool developed by Cisco Lab. The relative ease with which this package can be used makes it ideal for students as well as for professional use. A further benefit is that Packet Tracer provides a visual simulation of equipment and network processes to offset the challenge of limited equipment, (often a problem in schools and universities). • 41. What Role Should Illegal Drugs What role should illegal drugs have in the future of medicine? In the UK drugs legislation classified 5 schedules in which substances must be categorised. The Schedule 1 groups the substances that are considered of no therapeutic value, thus they are determinate illegal. It is not possible to buy or own those substances and the use of them in research may be authorised only with a Home Office licence. Although this legislation might discourage the research on illegal drug for therapeutic purpose, recent studies suggest that magic mushrooms, LSD and MDMA could help with mental and physical pathologies. This essay will briefly describe how substances operate in the body. In addition, there will be an investigation on the use of illegal drugs for therapeutic purpose. According to the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, it is considered a drug any natural or chemical substance that has the property of affecting the structure or function of the body. However, this definition do not include food. Drugs can be administrated by injection, orally, inhaled, insufflations, rectally or topically. After the drug has been administrated it is absorbed by the body and directed to the blood stream. The timing of this process will depend on the drug itself and the method of administration that has been used. From here the molecules derived from the drug are absorbed by the cells, where chemical reactions occur. When the molecules have been discharged from the cell, they are taken back in the ... This has been classified as a degenerative disorder that distresses the macula in one s eye. AMD is unfortunately a common illness that individuals over 65 suffer from and that is a central cause vision loss. AMD doesn t have a set disease pathway, in some individuals it advances slowly so that loss of vision does not arise for a long time. The disease can also advance much quicker and may lead to lack of vision in either or both eyes. BMW wanted to create a car to celebrate the turn of the millennium, bringing together its past and future in one design. Therefore the aluminium bodied Z8 draws heavily from Z07 concept car seen only a few years earlier at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show, which in turn pays homage to the original BMW 507 from the 1950s. The car was met with great excitement by both the motoring press and customers alike, an appearance in the James Bond movie, The World is Not Enough cemented its place as a desirable exotic. Rivals in this retro modern category were thin on the ground, and there were precious few cars to which the Z8 could be compared, especially when looking at its traditional German counterparts. BMW itself had a model range comprising only of the 3, 5 and 7 series with the recently introduced X5 having just dipped an adventurous toe into untapped segments. The 8 series was in its last year and rivals had a similarly modest set of offerings to choose from. You had to move to look at niche manufacturers and up your budget considerably to find any meaningful challengers, the Ferrari 360 and Aston Martin DB7 come to mind and while both have their merits, it is the Z8 that is now worth considerably more than either of those cars in today s market.
