Post Traumatic Stress Disorder ( Ptsd ) Essay
This paper focuses on women who are survivors of child sexual abuse (CSA) and today struggle with
a complex set of symptoms known as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). For pastors who intend
to provide help, an integrated multidimensional treatment plan flows from a thorough assessment and
accurate diagnosis. Discussed herein are three treatment options including individual, group and
cognitive processing therapy and the integration of a Christian perspective regarding symptom
mitigation to assist in gaining a better understanding of redemptive care. Ashley is 60 years old. She is
the middle child of three sisters. Ashley reported that when she was growing up, her father abused her.
She was also abused by her sister in the way she was setting up situations for Ashley to be raped or
beaten. Ashley has great feelings of betrayal toward her father, mother, and sister. Her mother
confessed to Ashely that she caught her husband when he was sexually molesting her oldest daughter.
Ashley is angry that her mother did not stop the abuse, and she did not protect her and her sister.
Ultimately, Ashley is angry that her mother was dependent on her father, and she did not even consider
separating from him. Ashley reported feelings of entrapment, depression, anxiety, nightmares,
intrusive thoughts, flashbacks and helplessness and powerlessness as a child that led her to become
preoccupied with remaining in control of situations as an adult. (Karakurt Silver, 2014, p. 83)

Circuit Switching Essay
1.a) The Circuit switched network has its advantages that would be more appropriate to use in this
situation. Circuit switching allows the use of a Transmission link to be pre determined. this would
allow the long session to be reserved as opposed to packet switching which does not reserve resources
which can result in waiting for access for a communication link. Packet switching also takes apart the
packets one by one which would take more time to arrive at its destination as unforeseen delays may
occur. 1.b) In the worst case, all the applications simultaneously transmit over one or more network
links. However, since each link has sufficient bandwidth to handle the sum of all of the applications
data rates, no congestion (very little queuing) will occur. Given such generous link capacities, the ...

They are set up in different ways which both has its advantages and disadvantages. In the client server
model, the clients tend to be computers or devices that connect to the server which refers to machines
that stores resources that can be used by clients. It must be noted that the clients are dependent on the
server as it is the central location where the data is shared and in terms of security, there is one user
account and password that is needed to access the shared resources. In terms of performance, upgrades
can be made to the server to cope with high demand. Backups are done on the main server. In the peer
to peer model, data is shared amongst all the computers connected within the network as there is no
central server. Due to the lack of central control, security and the network itself is left vulnerable. The
computers within the network are dependent on one another, thus if the machines are slow for some
reason, a domino effect will occur. Due to the lack of a central server, each computer has to be backed

Hurricane Matthew Geography
The weather this week is relatively calm. I only came across two interesting items. One is hurricane
Matthew and the other being the earthquake warning in southern California. Quite honestly I m not
sure that the earthquake warning counts as weather but it was very interesting and in my opinion is
related to geography. So, I will talk about the hurricane. Hurricane Matthew is the strongest hurricane
since hurricane Felix in 2007. It is the thirteenth named storm of this year s hurricane season. It is
predicted that this storm will be devastating to Haiti due to deforestation. This makes the likelihood of
mudslides and flooding much greater. Hurricane Matthew briefly reached a category 5 level which is
the highest level with wind speeds

Essay On Speech Language Pathology
How often do purpose, passion, and profession come together? Pursing an advanced degree in Speech
Language Pathology would consummate my plans of positively impacting the lives of others
throughout the world. I have encountered many personal influences that have shaped my perspective;
these influences have also driven me to perform excellence on a graduate level. In my profession, my
aspiration is to improve the quality of someone s life. My recent experiences involve volunteer work,
research, clinical observations, internships and student leadership positions. I was recently granted the
opportunity to present at the N.S.S.B. in Atlanta, Georgia. The research topic on which I will be

Technology
Introduction: Technology What Is It? General term for the processes by which human beings fashion
tools and Machines to increase their control and understanding of the material environment. The Term
is derived from the Greek words tekhne, which refers to an art or craft, and logia, Meaning an area of
study; thus, technology means, literally, the study, or science, of Crafting. As technology evolves,
scientist and historians say that technology grows at A geometric rate without respect to geographical

inventions that where once practical remain practical. one example are the invention of pagers.
although these pagers are still currently used in our society they in my own opinion have out lived

expensive and more portable than a cellphone. but now cellphones are cheaper and come in sizes that
are almost as small as a pager. so these pagers have out lived there use and are now impractical to use
in some countries. but in the Philippines we have still retained it for they are free compared to a

Ebola Virus Outbreak Of West Africa
Imagine being isolated from your friends and family, suffering from an illness that feels as though
something is burning through your body, while watching people around you dying of the same illness
and wondering when it will be your turn to proverbially kick the bucket . For many survivors of the
Ebola disease, this situation would be far too familiar. In March 2014, the Ebola virus outbreak began
in West Africa, mainly in Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea. According to a recent figure from the
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there have been a total of 28616 Ebola cases and
11310 deaths from Ebola in these three countries (2014). There were many unpalatable symptoms of
the disease, such as fever, headache, joint and muscle pain, widespread bleeding, diarrhea and other
physical symptoms leading to high mortality (Van Bortel). If one is lucky enough to survive this virus,
however, there are just as many negative results of the virus as there were symptoms. Many West
African survivors have to deal with their new negative image, negative lasting health effects, or a
decrease in financial stability due to their inability to work or find work after they recover. Now that
the West African Ebola epidemic is over, (Liberia) there remains the task of assimilating the survivors
back into their societies. Moreover, the best solution to counteract the effects of the Ebola virus on
survivors is to expand upon the Ebola survivor support organizations already in place.

Consumer s Influence On Consumer Behavior
In today s culture, consumers are very much in charge of their decisions in regards to purchasing.
Advancements in technology have not only allowed consumers the capability to research, price shop
and purchase products, but have also given businesses the ability to reach a targeted market based on
data collection and past purchase history. Given that consumers have the purchase power in today s
society, many businesses have implemented situational factors to influence a consumers buying
behavior. Consumers typically have a level of purchase involvement when making purchasing
decisions. Levels of involvement range from low to high. Level of involvement is often dependent on

Advertising for brand familiarity is done best through television campaigns and brand familiarity is
often gained through repetition of the advertisement. Marketers also focus on visual images that
associate a consumer with a particular product as these are easily remembered. Examples of this type
of branding include the McDonalds Golden Arches or the Target bulls eye (Procter, 2000, p. 144 169).
High levels of purchase involvement are related to those products that typically have a higher cost, are
bought infrequently and are reflective of the purchaser. In order to gain traction in this category,
marketers often promote the positive and beneficial attributes of the brand, promote the product
through advertising and have a heavy reliance on sale personnel endorsement. Examples of purchase
that have a high level purchase involvement include technology products and cars (Chavis, 2010,
Involvement Level and Effect). Situational factors are also used to sway consumers buying behaviors.
Examples of situational factors include lighting, smell and sound. Marketers must be cognizant of not
over stimulating the senses when using situational factors to influence buying behavior. Over
stimulation will result in fewer purchases, an obvious negative response for businesses. Lighting and
product placement is often used within stores to enhance products or attract customers. Window

Atheism Is Not An Easy Belief
Atheism is just as misunderstood as theism in today s realm, specifically when one is precarious of the
other. Theists have some misunderstandings about atheism, but atheists have their specific
misconceptions about theism. These two world understandings are two risky points of view regarding
thoughts of God. Atheists do not trust that God exists, but theists believe in a God, who made the
world and earth. In his article, On Being an Atheist , H.J. McCloskey tries to convince his listeners
that Christianity is not an easy belief. He honors the three opinions that theists use to protect their
belief as evidences. The three opinions are the cosmological argument, the teleological argument and
the problem of evil. Even though these opinions ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
No matter if an individual is a theist or atheist, he or she has at some time asked why God would
permit or generate evil. The reply is as intricate as responding to the question of reality. If McCloskey
anticipates getting proof of why God permits evil of any kind, there is little proof that is obtainable.
There are just some objects that cannot be solved until one perishes and witnesses life after death.
There is just no complete way to exactly prove whether there is life after death and definitively
whether God exists. H.J. McCloskey attempts to answer the following questions. Is the existence of
God rational? Do the so called opinions for the reality of God have any truth value? Can an atheist live
a more content and ultimately calmer life? McCloskey allegations say that atheism, not theism is a
better interpretation for the world we observe. In this paper I will try to challenge some of the interests
that McCloskey makes about the proofs of God, specifically the Cosmological and Teleological
Arguments. I will then focus on his concerns to an morally impeccable God who allows sin and evil to
happen in an earth that he made. Lastly I will try to describe McCloskey s allegations that life, as an
atheist, is more relaxing than a life based on the acceptance of a supreme existence. Within the first

communication through speech and language. I was intrigued by the way that they worked and the
way they were used to enable communication. My mom taught me about her work as a speech

outcasts in society. SLPs work with individuals who are struggling with various sets of problems and
help to solve those problems through undivided attention and spirits of patience and willingness to aid
people with speech, language, and mental impairments. I believe this would be a good career fit for
me due to my heart for people and my teaching spirit. My mom s perspective of me pursuing a career

working with struggling individuals. I also have an immediate family legacy of multiple speech

Psychoanalysis is in many peoples opinion the most helpful. Psychotherapy they find the root of the
illness from the conflicts during a person s childhood. Psychotherapists believe this puts the patient at
ease and leads them to better mental health. During psychoa nalysis they let the patient speak freely
during therapy ses sions to track down the source of the problem. They patient may react towards the
treatment as they were reacting to their unresolved conflicts. When the patient is not uncomfortable
talking about their problems that s when they are finished with treatment. These methods may be
effective but take many sessions and cost thousands of dollars. Some therapists use hypnosis because
some patients repress some incidents from their past. The hypnosis helps the patient remember passed
conflicts they have erased from their conscious. This finds the root of the problem. Another tactic
psychotherapy uses is group therapy. Group therapy is where the psychologist (thera pist) takes on
more than one patient with the same problem. Some patients prefer to be in groups instead of one on
one therapy. Group therapy helps the patient know that they are not the only one with that same
problem. It makes the patient feel more at ease. During these sessions it helps the patients work out
their hostilities, fears, tensions, and anxieties be tween each other and sense their problems are similar

Health Care Fraud Enforcement Arsenal
Introduction The issue that many healthcare administrators seem to miss these days is what is
currently happening behind the scenes when their hospital s doctors are filing claims. This issue is
very important to address considering your healthcare staff could be filing claims illegally to the
Center for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS), and be subjected to the False Claims Act (FCA).
Administrators need to make sure claims are filed correctly and not for the benefit of the doctors own
pocket. Healthcare providers need to take caution and be aware of this situation occurring in their own
hospital, as all healthcare organizations could be subjected to the False Claims Act. The Federal
Claims Act is one of the most powerful tools in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

can create barriers to their participation in government programs, such as Medicare and Medicaid.
Exclusion from these programs could be devastating to organizations that generate significant
revenues from those sources. (Mattie, A., Rosalyn Ben Chitrit. (2009).). The issues of the False
Claims Act have been brought to the public s attentions under qui tam actions . These actions are a
public partnership with private individuals and congress, who closely observe or were involved in
fraud. As part of the partnership agreement, the private individuals bringing suit on behalf of the
government were entitled to a portion of the monetary damages recovered as a bounty. (Estrada)
Current stakeholders such as CMS, private funding, public, and other government agencies will not
take claims being filed illegally lightly. They are the ones who are loosing money in the process. The
False Claims Act is being addressed to the upmost seriousness by the United States government
towards the healthcare facilities.
History and Background The False Claims Act if you are not aware is a government act that is targeted
at individuals and entities that defraud or try to defraud the federal government including any federal

Examples Of Rejection In Frankenstein
People often harshly judge the physical appearance of people. Acceptance and rejection is not only
perceived in the novel Frankenstein by Mary Shelly but also in the modern society. Specifically,
people tend to get rejected and accepted very often in relationships; one person will deny the date of
another person. Frankenstein not only demonstrated the power of social acceptance and rejection but
also how these factors can shape an artificial human being. The creature, which Victor Frankenstein
had created, encountered many hardships while trying to adapt into the new and foreign society. The
rejection and isolation he receives from the society contributed to its decisions which determined not

What Is The Similarities Between A Streetcar Named Desire...
The truth is sometimes a very frightening thing. In the stories A Streetcar Named Desire and The Lady

However, only one changed his toxic ways. The author demonstrates through symbolism and narrating
that. While Stanley from A Streetcar Named Desire and Dmitri Gurov from The Birthmark are
comparable in their blatant disrespect for women, they are distinctive concerning love and willingness
to develop. Furthermore, a comparison can be dissected in that both these men believed women were
inferior. One critical character from A Streetcar Named Desire, was Blanche. Blanche can t manage
certain occasions and conditions of her life. Also, instead of facing them, she withdraws into her very

ABSTRACT Being in the military has caused me to become a better athlete than I have been before.
Running is one of our main focuses and in my personal life I have strived to become better at it since I
know that I despise running but need to improve on it. One of the things that I have learned is that in
order for a high performance runner to reach a level that is desired to help max out their run time for
military standards, the individual needs to have a focused training, training with an objective.
The obesity rate in America has continually spiked over the years as well. More than 30% of

If someone is trying to quit smoking the more aerobics they do the less their cravings are to occur plus
their lung function is greatly improved. For people that may feel stressed or are combating depression
according to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services research aerobics helps lower these
by raising the self esteem and physical awareness.
I perform both types of training several times a week; therefore, I can describe what my body feels
like after each training session. When I finish an anaerobic training, I feel my legs are heavier and
numb after all the effort that I have put in on the exercises along with the body aches which are a
result of the lactic acid produced by my muscles; however I can breathe perfectly well after 5 minutes.
After an aerobic training, I feel my muscles are looser and weaker along with my lungs feeling
stretched and my recovery can last up to an hour depending on the distance that I have run.
An individual that wishes to improve their run should do both aerobic and anaerobic training to
balance out their workout; we shouldn t choose only one because they are equally important to grow
as a competitive runner and to reach that goal of maxing out the military standards for their age
bracket. For society as a whole in the U.S., I strongly think that aerobic exercise of any sort, even if it

Honey Bees Pollinates Bees
Save the Bees
Bees are profound contributers to the ecosystem, but their population size is decreasing tremendously.
Without them, key factors to everyday life will be negatively affected. The honey bees pollinates
flowers. Pollination is when pollen is transferred to a flower s reproductive organs and enables it to
fertilize. When fruits and vegetables are growing, they start of as small flowers on the plant,
eventually becoming whatever food they are. Pollination is how the flowers are able to grow into the
fruit or vegetable. The natural, and best way, a plant gets pollinated is through bees.
Admittedly, some may argue that honey bees are not a necessity because there are alternate ways to
pollinate crops. For example, other insects such as butterflies, beetles, flies, and wasps are able to
pollinate (Gordon). Looking at this point of view, it may seem that bees would not be necessary for
pollination. Bees are not the only pollinating animal, so there should be no need to protect them.
These insects do not pollinate the same way as bees, so how do they do it? Active insects get covered
in pollen when visiting flowers, which then rubs off onto the next flower visited (Gordon). Bees do
essentially the same thing, except they do it purposely, making it the process more effective. In
summation, because there are other insects that have the ability to pollinate, opposers of saving the
honey bees think that it is unnecessary to aid them in survival. Bees however,

CHAPTER 7 DECISION MAKING AND CREATIVITY Describe the six stages in the rational choice
decision process Decision making: the conscious process of making choices among alternatives with
the intention of moving toward some desired state of affairs. Rational choice paradigm of decision

information to choose the alternative with the highest value. Decision making involves identifying,
selecting and applying the best possible alternative. The best decision use pure logic and all available

by how easily we can recall the event, even though other factors influence it. 3. Representativeness
heuristic: we estimate probabilities by how much they are similar to something else, even when better
information available. Problem with maximisation: people engage in satisficing, selecting an
alternative that is good enough rather than the alternative with the highest value. To choose the best
alternative is also demand more info processing capacity than what they willing to apply. Making the
best choice among many, can be cognitively and emotionally draining. Evaluating opportunities:
opportunity is different from the process of problem solving. Decision makers not evaluate
alternatives, after all, the opportunity is the solution, so why look further, they tend to have an
emotional attachment to the opportunity. EMOTIONS AND MAKING CHOICES: Describe 3 ways in
which emotions influences the selection of alternatives 1. Emotions from early preferences: emotions
form preferences before we consciously evaluate those choices 2. Emotions change the decision
evaluation process: moods and emotions influence how well we follow the decision process. 3.
Emotions serve as info when we evaluate alternatives: we listen in on our emotions and use that info
to make choices Intuitive

Swing Band Essay
The swing bands showed a highly organized approach to performing Jazz. Fletcher Henderson s band
started the evolution that established the legacy for big bands to follow, both white and black.
Henderson s band merge into the sections we now call big bands, the contrapuntal lines necessarily
became more formalized and thereby less improvised. The first signs of sectional activity appeared in
the clarinet trios that is heard in Jelly Morton s arrangements. There are four sections including, the
sax, trumpet, trombone and, rhythm section of the classic big band. The sax section includes four or
five players who played in unison and soli. The trumpet section also included four five players that
played in unison or soli and were responsible for the shouts in the shout chorus. A shout chorus is a
climactic, energized chorus (theme/refrain) in a big band performance, in which the saxophones,
trombones, and trumpets play with a more complex and spirited texture. The most common
arrangement is having the sax section play a melody in soli, the trombones play a countermelody in
unison or soli, and the trumpets playing punches or shouts ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

there was less freedom in the ensemble passages for personal interpretation. The control of

for 2 teams, but I also wanted to be with the kids or some of them that I was with last year. It was
about 5:00 when Cam and his family came to pick me up because we were going to a party at one of
their friends houses. While we were driving there Cam asked me isn t it your birthday tomorrow? I

It was about 6:30 and we were about to have dessert when all of a sudden we wanted to do a game of
horse. At the end, I ended up winning, but that was a shock because I am not very good at basketball
then, we went inside to play a game downstairs which was baseball. But, it wasn t your ordinary
baseball we had a fluffy ball to play with and these trampoline disks that you could hit it back and
forth with each other. We used one as a bat that we could hit really far it was the same teams that were
for the trampoline game so Cam and I started because we had less players, that was a mistake. We
scored like 67 runs in the first inning! They quit right after so, we were done with that and it was
about 9:30 so we left their house. When I got home, I saw a that there was decorations and stuff on the
walls I obviously knew why. My brother was in his room doing something very odd he had envelopes
with the world clue on about all of them, I thought that maybe it was for something for school but.... It
was about 10:30 now and I decided I wanted to go to bed, but I ended falling asleep at 4:30 that was
not good because I would be weak for soccer. But I just had a bunch of sugar when I woke up which I
felt like I had enough energy to run 100 miles. So we ate breakfast and then I opened all of my
presents. I got a bunch of stuff and then my last present was a envelope! I opened it and it said

Dance Research Paper
Dance has always played a huge role in my life. I have learned many life lessons and gained many
experiences that dance has been able offer to me. Ever since I was a little girl, my mom told me that I
was always prancing on my toes and started moving, I wouldn t call it dancing, as soon as I heard
music. It could have been anywhere; the grocery store, the mall, or even at church, I was just always
dancing.
As soon as I was four years old my mom entered me into combo classes. Everyday I d come home to
show my family what the teacher had taught the class. Whether it was my jungle book recital dance or
my shuffle hop steps. I was always determined, I would practice everyday, and my family had heard
enough of my ear cringing tap shoes noises. Whenever I would bring them out they seemed to stay far
away from the noises. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I soon heard about competitive dancing where judges can score your talent and give you critiques to
better your performance quality. I knew exactly what I wanted; I entered a whole new dance world
way out of my comfort zone. In this world, I have learned so many lessons, so many things about
myself, but most importantly I learned the art of dance. For fourteen years of my life, I have had the
most amazing opportunity to study the gift of dance. Not only has my studying impacted myself as a
technician but also as a person. I believe that dance has shaped me to the person I am today. I will
always feel connected, safe, and grounded when I dance. Dance is one of the most amazing gifts
created because it is a way you can communicate and express who you are through movement instead

Modern Human Of Human Trafficking
Modern Human Trafficking
Human trafficking is defined as recruitment, concealing and transporting of individuals involuntarily
for labor and sexual needs under fraudulent and forceful means ( Fact Sheet ). Modern day human
trafficking first became a focus in 1994 when monitoring began. Human trafficking encompasses
more individuals in slavery today then any previous time in history, with about 2.4 million trafficked
globally ( Fact Sheet ). Human trafficking involves both the sex and labor trafficking, and is estimated
to make over $27.3 billion dollars every year ( Human Trafficking ). The United Nations (UN) and the
United States (U.S.) both put forth initiatives to curb the industry in the year 2000, however, there is
still a large disconnect among researchers, investigators, and law professionals on the definitions and
criminal prosecution. Education provided to not only potential victims, but also to consumers is the
greatest potential way to reform the human trafficking industry. According to Half the Sky, over three
million individuals are currently enslaved in the sex industry ( Human Trafficking ). The sex industry
comprises working in brothels, escort services, and the pornography industry among many other
establishments. Many of these women are not only physically tortured, but become mentally and
emotionally unstable. Often, victims come to only know a life inside the sex industry, and eventually
may start voluntarily selling themselves for sex ( Human

Raw Diet Research Paper
Raw Diet? raw diet is a diet based on eating whole, live, uncooked and un processed foods as a large
percentage, about 75% or more, of your diet. The theory is when your diet is 75% raw your body s
eliminate all or most of the toxins in the cooked portion of your diet, and when you eat more cooked
food the body can not eliminate all the toxins and they back up causing disease. It is believed heating
food above 118 degrees F destroy enzymes in food that can destroy digestion. Cooking is known to

A mostly raw food diet is alkaline forming, while cooked or processed foods are more acid forming.
Medical resources agree the pH balance of your blood is one of the most important biochemical
balances in the human body chemistry. So what exactly is pH?
Full Definition of PH
a measure of acidity and alkalinity of a solution that is a number on a scale on which a value of 7
represents neutrality and lower numbers indicate increasing acidity and higher numbers increasing
alkalinity and on which each unit of change represents a tenfold change in acidity or alkalinity and
that is the negative logarithm of the effective hydrogen ion concentration or hydrogen ion activity in
gram equivalents per liter of the solution; also : the condition represented by a pH number
merriam webster
Human blood is usually around 7.0 to 7.2 (above neutral or slightly alkaline). It is believed what you
eat and drink directly influenced your pH. Healthy people tend to be more alkaline and unhealthy
people tend to be more acidic. A way to alkaline your body is by making sure you drink is not only
clean, but high in pH and negative

Third Person Perspective Analysis
The reflection
Well it looks like this is where the third person perspective ends.
This assignment itself wasn t too hard it was just the thinking/remembering that was difficult. I
personally had trouble remembering of a few of these things and had to ask my parents to refresh my
memory just, so I could do this assignment. The third perspective way of writing this was a challenge
though, I got really messed up quite a few times and after reading a page over realizing that I had
written it in first perspective. I had decided not to use my picture on the cover but rather a turtle
because turtles are cooler than all of us. But yeah, I chose a turtle because I have always admired
turtles ever since the first time my parents took me to an aquarium.

President Franklin D Roosevelt And The Attack Plan
For years people have looked for something to symbolize safety, or look up to, and after searching,
they finally found it on January 15, 1943 and that was the Pentagon. The reason is because the
Pentagon was built to be the headquarters of the US Department of Defense which makes people feel
safe. Therefore, on September 11, 200, the most mind blowing attack happened that hit the Pentagon
and left many Americans in grief. This left many Americans puzzled because this couldn t have been
just an easy plan; it had to be well planned out. Therefore, we are going to explore the history of the
building, also the history of the attack plan, deadly strike, rescuers, and how they were able to cope
and push through this tragedy.
Now, President Franklin D Roosevelt in 1941 decided where to place the building which was 60 years
before the attack had taken place. So architects and engineers decided to build the Pentagon as a
pentagonal shape and horizontal rather than vertical projection; which saved lives without knowing
they would. The Pentagon has five floors with many different paths like: oncoming airliner, U.S Army
s Resource Service (RSW), and Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the army. The second
floor has the office of the U.S Army Deputy Chief of staff for Personnel (DCSPER). Bow the third
floor has an Army office of Deputy Chief of staff for Operations. The fourth floor has Marine Cops
Office of General Counsel. Finally, the fifth floor had no fatalities at that

Rory Gilmore Character Analysis
When I think of a character that is like me I think of the character Rory Gilmore from the 2000 tv
show Gilmore Girls. She starts as a 16 year old girl who dreams of getting into Harvard University.
Rory works so hard to keep her grades up and to keep a healthy relationship with her mother. When
she faces difficult situations in life, she remains kind and dependent. She is always there for her best
friends, relationships, and her family. Lorelai Gilmore is the mother of Rory. Rory s relationship with
her mother is the kind of relationship I have with my mother. They have always had the same taste in
music, movies, and lots of coffee. Rory depends on her mother just as much as her mother depends on
her. When Rory was born it was only her

Erruption In Pompeii
Introduction:
A significant event that occurred in Ancient Rome is the eruption of Mt Vesuvius which destroyed the
towns of Pompeii and Herculaneum, killing around 2000 people. The Mt Vesuvius eruption was a
Plinian eruption sending volcanic ash hurdling towards the sky sending out deadly gases which was
the main causes of the death of the people of Pompeii and Herculaneum. It left the towns covered and
hidden for many years until archaeologist discovered these sites. This was significant because it
opened a great deal of insight into how the Romans went about their day, how they decorated their
homes, what materials they used to decorate their homes, building structures and much more
information that proved to be very helpful in our understanding of how Romans lived and how they
went about their everyday lives. Now came the dust, though still thinly. I look back: a dense cloud
looms behind us, following us like a flood poured across the land.
Background of the Eruption: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The people of Pompeii were suddenly rocked by a Plinan Eruption from Mt. Vesuvius. The volcano
spewed plumes of ash up to 45 kilo metres into the stratosphere. This caused many problems for the
unsuspecting people in Pompeii. The plumes of ash were not the source of destruction for the people
of Pompeii but also lahars (mud flows) and pyroclastic flows. With the pyroclastic flow made up of
hot ash, pumice, rock fragments and deadly gases, moving across the ground it was impossible for
anyone to survive even if they hadn t already died from the pumice shooting out of the volcano s
mouth. Some of the cloud was white, in other parts there were dark patches of dirt and

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SCD)
Emotional stress, physical over activity and vigorous activity in a person having coronary artery
disease can precipitate SCD due to ischemia [84, 123 126] (Figure 3). Regular exercise is associated
with the long term reduction in risk of SCD [127 132]. Significant reductions in the risk of SCD with
both moderate and vigorous exercise was found by British Regional Heart Study [133] and the
Multiple Risk Factor Intervention Trial 6 but no relationship between physical activity and SCD was
found in The Framingham Study [134 135]. Many retrospective and cross sectional studies has
suggested the association of vigorous exercise or activity with SCD but a prospective study by Albert
et al [22] showed that transient bouts of vigorous activity is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Based on such several studies the annual incidence of SCD in US is approximately 180,000 250,000
cases per year and worldwide it will be 4 5 million cases per year. The study from the Multnomah
County, Oregon showed that 5.6% of the annual deaths are due to SCD, with very narrow differences
between genders and the use of death certificate data for study gives an overestimation of problem.
This study has also suggested that per year approximately 40% of the SCD include females out of all
cardiac death [13]. Straus et al studied 249,126 subjects with the median age of study as 40 years,
found that the incidence of SCD in the general Dutch population is around 1 per 1,000 person years
and it increase with age and varies with gender, calendar month, and day of the week [145]

Characteristic Studies Of Supersonic Diffuser With Various...
Characteristic studies of supersonic diffuser with various ramp design and optimization of ramp
profile
Objective:
The main idea behind the proposed project is to decrease the pressure loss at the supersonic diffusers
with the help of varying the conventional ramp design. Three different ramp profiles (Sharp edged
conic section, Blunted conic section and Ogive conic section) are optimized for the particular inlet
Mach number. The efficient design for the supersonic compression process is to be obtained from the
experimental analysis.
Introduction:
Designing supersonic diffusers requires more concentration than the subsonic diffusers, which is
mainly due to the formation of shockwaves. In this scenario, the ramp (a part of the supersonic ...

 Ramp body:
The ramp body is the component to create shock waves. The ramp body has a collar for mounting
purpose along the axis of the diffuser.
 Fore body of the subsonic diffuser:
The fore body has the cowl lip section which generates the normal shock waves. The fore body has the
ports across its walls to measure the static pressure inside the diffuser section.
 Rear body of the subsonic diffuser:
The rear body which is very helpful for stream lining the flow flied from the diffuser. The collars of
the all components are connected together which provides the whole setup of the supersonic diffuser.
The mounting system is also to be designed very carefully, to facilitate testing of the model in the
laboratory, using open test jet facility.
Methodology:
 Design a conical nozzle for the desired exit Mach number.
 Optimally design a fore body and rear body (cowl) of the diffuser.
 Analyse the preliminary design with the help of an analysis software (ANSYS).
 Optimize the design further depending upon the CFD results.
 Fabricate the nozzle and the diffuser along with the mounting system.
 Carry out experimental work using the Open jet facility available in the Aerodynamics laboratory,

stiff and soft window treatments. Today, we will focus on the stiff treatments that are a worth having

  • 2. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder ( Ptsd ) Essay This paper focuses on women who are survivors of child sexual abuse (CSA) and today struggle with a complex set of symptoms known as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). For pastors who intend to provide help, an integrated multidimensional treatment plan flows from a thorough assessment and accurate diagnosis. Discussed herein are three treatment options including individual, group and cognitive processing therapy and the integration of a Christian perspective regarding symptom mitigation to assist in gaining a better understanding of redemptive care. Ashley is 60 years old. She is the middle child of three sisters. Ashley reported that when she was growing up, her father abused her. She was also abused by her sister in the way she was setting up situations for Ashley to be raped or beaten. Ashley has great feelings of betrayal toward her father, mother, and sister. Her mother confessed to Ashely that she caught her husband when he was sexually molesting her oldest daughter. Ashley is angry that her mother did not stop the abuse, and she did not protect her and her sister. Ultimately, Ashley is angry that her mother was dependent on her father, and she did not even consider separating from him. Ashley reported feelings of entrapment, depression, anxiety, nightmares, intrusive thoughts, flashbacks and helplessness and powerlessness as a child that led her to become preoccupied with remaining in control of situations as an adult. Circuit switching allows the use of a Transmission link to be pre determined. this would allow the long session to be reserved as opposed to packet switching which does not reserve resources which can result in waiting for access for a communication link. Packet switching also takes apart the packets one by one which would take more time to arrive at its destination as unforeseen delays may occur. 1.b) In the worst case, all the applications simultaneously transmit over one or more network links. However, since each link has sufficient bandwidth to handle the sum of all of the applications data rates, no congestion (very little queuing) will occur. Given such generous link capacities, the ... In terms of performance, upgrades can be made to the server to cope with high demand. Backups are done on the main server. In the peer to peer model, data is shared amongst all the computers connected within the network as there is no central server. Due to the lack of central control, security and the network itself is left vulnerable. One is hurricane Matthew and the other being the earthquake warning in southern California. Quite honestly I m not sure that the earthquake warning counts as weather but it was very interesting and in my opinion is related to geography. So, I will talk about the hurricane. Hurricane Matthew is the strongest hurricane since hurricane Felix in 2007. It is the thirteenth named storm of this year s hurricane season. It is predicted that this storm will be devastating to Haiti due to deforestation. This makes the likelihood of mudslides and flooding much greater. Ebola Virus Outbreak Of West Africa Imagine being isolated from your friends and family, suffering from an illness that feels as though something is burning through your body, while watching people around you dying of the same illness and wondering when it will be your turn to proverbially kick the bucket . For many survivors of the Ebola disease, this situation would be far too familiar. In March 2014, the Ebola virus outbreak began in West Africa, mainly in Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Guinea. According to a recent figure from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), there have been a total of 28616 Ebola cases and 11310 deaths from Ebola in these three countries (2014). There were many unpalatable symptoms of the disease, such as fever, headache, joint and muscle pain, widespread bleeding, diarrhea and other physical symptoms leading to high mortality (Van Bortel). If one is lucky enough to survive this virus, however, there are just as many negative results of the virus as there were symptoms. Many West African survivors have to deal with their new negative image, negative lasting health effects, or a decrease in financial stability due to their inability to work or find work after they recover. Now that the West African Ebola epidemic is over, (Liberia) there remains the task of assimilating the survivors back into their societies. Moreover, the best solution to counteract the effects of the Ebola virus on survivors is to expand upon the Ebola survivor support organizations already in place. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

High levels of purchase involvement are related to those products that typically have a higher cost, are bought infrequently and are reflective of the purchaser. In order to gain traction in this category, marketers often promote the positive and beneficial attributes of the brand, promote the product through advertising and have a heavy reliance on sale personnel endorsement. Examples of purchase that have a high level purchase involvement include technology products and cars (Chavis, 2010, Involvement Level and Effect). Situational factors are also used to sway consumers buying behaviors. Examples of situational factors include lighting, smell and sound. There are just some objects that cannot be solved until one perishes and witnesses life after death. • 18. Honey Bees Pollinates Bees Save the Bees Bees are profound contributers to the ecosystem, but their population size is decreasing tremendously. Without them, key factors to everyday life will be negatively affected. The honey bees pollinates flowers. Pollination is when pollen is transferred to a flower s reproductive organs and enables it to fertilize. When fruits and vegetables are growing, they start of as small flowers on the plant, eventually becoming whatever food they are. Pollination is how the flowers are able to grow into the fruit or vegetable. The natural, and best way, a plant gets pollinated is through bees. Admittedly, some may argue that honey bees are not a necessity because there are alternate ways to pollinate crops. For example, other insects such as butterflies, beetles, flies, and wasps are able to pollinate (Gordon). Looking at this point of view, it may seem that bees would not be necessary for pollination. Bees are not the only pollinating animal, so there should be no need to protect them. These insects do not pollinate the same way as bees, so how do they do it? Active insects get covered in pollen when visiting flowers, which then rubs off onto the next flower visited (Gordon). Bees do essentially the same thing, except they do it purposely, making it the process more effective. In summation, because there are other insects that have the ability to pollinate, opposers of saving the honey bees think that it is unnecessary to aid them in survival. Bees however, ... The trumpet section also included four five players that played in unison or soli and were responsible for the shouts in the shout chorus. A shout chorus is a climactic, energized chorus (theme/refrain) in a big band performance, in which the saxophones, trombones, and trumpets play with a more complex and spirited texture. The most common arrangement is having the sax section play a melody in soli, the trombones play a countermelody in unison or soli, and the trumpets playing punches or shouts ... President Franklin D Roosevelt And The Attack Plan For years people have looked for something to symbolize safety, or look up to, and after searching, they finally found it on January 15, 1943 and that was the Pentagon. The reason is because the Pentagon was built to be the headquarters of the US Department of Defense which makes people feel safe. Therefore, on September 11, 200, the most mind blowing attack happened that hit the Pentagon and left many Americans in grief. This left many Americans puzzled because this couldn t have been just an easy plan; it had to be well planned out. Therefore, we are going to explore the history of the building, also the history of the attack plan, deadly strike, rescuers, and how they were able to cope and push through this tragedy. Now, President Franklin D Roosevelt in 1941 decided where to place the building which was 60 years before the attack had taken place. So architects and engineers decided to build the Pentagon as a pentagonal shape and horizontal rather than vertical projection; which saved lives without knowing they would. The Pentagon has five floors with many different paths like: oncoming airliner, U.S Army s Resource Service (RSW), and Administrative Assistant to the Secretary of the army.
