Advances in surgery and immunosuppressive therapy have improved clinical
outcomes and opportunities for liver transplantation among those previously
excluded (e.g., older adults) (1). During the liver allocation system prior to 2002, liver
transplant recipients 60 years old were reported to have promising graft and patient
survival rates similar to younger cohorts (1 12).Other published reports have cited
significant mortality and complications among older recipients (13 18), though
important clinical outcomes like functional status have been infrequently studied. (7,

Water diffuses across cellular membranes by the process of osmosis. This occurs in
all animal, plant and protozoa cells. Furthermore, this report examines an
investigation into the rate of osmosis through a semi permeable membrane and
further assesses whether this rate is affected by sucrose concentration. Dialysis bags
containing variable sucrose concentrations were placed in a solution containing either
tap water or 60% sucrose. These bags were then weighed at fifteen minute intervals
and then placed back into its allocated solute. In Summary, it was found that bags
containing sucrose gained the most weight in comparison to those that contained tap
water. The sucrose inside the bags caused the water potential to decrease. Therefore,
water moved by osmosis down its concentration gradient towards the area with the
most dissolved sucrose.

Ever heard of a relaxing time with your loved ones? This year, specifically June
17th, 2017, I went to Boise, ID for my Cousin s Thirteenth Birthday. We went to
Roaring Springs (On June 18th) which was like the Dollarama version of
Hurricane Harbor in Six Flags, where we celebrated his birthday. There were about
fourteen or fifteen of us, me, my Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt s, Uncle s,
Cousin s, and a few friends. We were all very anxious about what s to come and how
we re going to handle an exclusive time with people we care for.
We were in the car and my little cousin was extremely annoying, so I almost threw
him out the window, but I didn t because it was tremendously scorching, which
leads to the reason on why we went to the Water Park. We got to the parking lot
and the vision of the Water Park didn t exceed with my expectations because I
thought it would be much bigger. The only thing that ruined it for me is my cousin
peed on the side of my aunt s tire and I bolted to the entrance, so I couldn t see.
There were fifteen tickets and it took about an hour because the scanner wasn t
working and it kept shutting off after each ticket. Luckily, I was first, so I just went
through not caring about anyone or anything and got our seats.
At first, we sang Happy Birthday to my cousin the traditional way, before we went
out and had fun. My cousin got a few, but not a lot of presents. He got a Black
History Month, Golden State Warriors shirt with a big NBA logo on the back. He
