Architecture The Pantheon is from the Romanesque era. Originally, built as a
temple for the Romans, it is a massive structure that stands 142 feet tall and was
built in 126 AD. Made of marble, yet the dome is not reinforced and is made of
concrete. The massive Corinthian style columns really show its roman influence as
noted by the motifs of scrolls and leaves. The craftsman ship of the massive
building truly amazes me, how did the Romans build this? They surely did not have
the tools and equipment we have today. Yet, it still stands! The Stourhead Garden,
aesthetically pleasing to the eyes appears as a beautiful English garden with
architecture inspired from Italy. With its Neo classical style and roman influence, it
houses a smaller scale of the Pantheon on the property. By looking at the scale of the
miniature Pantheon, I would guess this was more for looks and not really used as
anything else but to create an image of relaxation/pleasure. It to, has the smaller scale
Neo classical designs with a touch of Romanesque, hence the pillars and the A line
pitched roof, the dome on top of the roof and Modern design from the use of brick

In this paper, I will argue that Mill s notion of colonial exploitation vastly expands
Rousseau s ideology of the perpetuation of social and political inequality through the
development of private property. Rousseau discusses how property leads to
inequality, which implemented the social contract. Mills expands Rousseau s
ideology by discussing how race influences the social contract, directly correlating
the racial contract to colonial exploitation. This allows Mills to accentuate the
fundamental mechanisms in which the racial contract influences the social contract.
