away within it. In the middle of the structure is a small square semi enclosed
courtyard. Utilizing that courtyard, my favorite place on the whole campus, I will

I would say there were a few class discussions that I personally connected to, but it
is easier to write about it than talk about it in class for me. Our in class writing 12 I
specifically connected with number one which states Our suffering is not unique
but is shared by millions and trillions of other beings, animal as well as human. We
find out that we have cancer, and we breathe in the fear, the disbelief, the pain of
all cancer patients and send relief to all. We lose someone dear to us, and it
connects to everyone who is overcome with grief. We lie awake with insomnia, and
it links us to countless others who are lying awake. On the spot, we breathe in our

In the article The Pain Scale , Biss is giving a proposal to definition of the pain
scale. The author scaled the pain in a numeric values represented by a scale from
zero to ten. First, is the zero scale. As Biss described herself as some one who
generate question instead of answering them, she thinks that paincannot be
eliminated. Meaning, zero cannot explain a situation, just like its numerical value,
we cannot apply some computational operations to it. Then, the author goes to
explain how zero is interpreted in Celsius and Kelvin. To illustrate her point, she

How Does Julius Caesar Impact The World
Although people can physically die, one s presence can have an everlasting impact
on the world. This idea is no better portrayed than in William Shakespeare s Julius
Caesar. Caesar is assassinated in Act Three by the conspirators because they believe
he will become an unopposed tyrant. Brutus and Cassius, conspirators who stabbed
Caesar, both kill themselves as they cannot live with the guilt of killing Caesar.

them right?
Really think about what I am saying. These people do not pay your bills, they do not
raise your children and they are not in control of anything in your life. Remaining in
a situation where you are unhappy just to make them happy seems a little silly.
Ask yourself, what could they lose by you finding happiness and reaching your goals.
These people might even try to convince you that you are fine just the way that you
are in order to stop you from making the changes that you want to make. You see,
they are stealthy, most of them won t make it obvious that they are trying to hold you
back, but instead will try to convince you that they care about you, just as you are.

The Olmec built these gigantic freestanding sculptures known as Colossal Heads
which were found in San Lorenzo, Veracruz. They are over two meters long and
weigh sixteen tons. They are also known simply as the Olmec heads. There are

Think about inventing something that no one has never imagined before. Wouldn

constructing the first aircraft, the Wright brothers went through many problems

life, especially if you were a young Puritan woman. Women were required to sit
silently and obey their husbands, take care of the children and the house, and
attend church like good Christian wives. However, as in all human beings, these
women had temptations and sinful natures. In The Crucible, Arthur Miller
illustrates the relationship between Abigail Williams and John Proctor to portray
the themes of pride and lust, and the part they played during the Salem Witch

I come from a very conservative Mexican household. That being said there were
certain guidelines or roles that each gender had to follow. I come from a family of
five, and we consist of 2 males and 3 females. Being a female, that meant that I was
expected to do the household chores, the cooking of the house, and care for
younger siblings. While we were expected to do that, my brothers didn t have an
obligation to do any of the responsibilities we were held accountable to. Although,
they were expected to have jobs at an early age to help and provide income for the
family. In the Mexican culture, males are preferred over females. For instance, my
father would prefer to bond with his sons rather than his daughters because he

Immigration as an ethical dilemma has attracted decades of debate. It is an ethical
issue that has not found a solution, and it does not appear that it will find one soon.
Immigration debates may look interesting but the two antagonistic groups: those who
support immigrant and those who oppose them seem to score equally with no
solution (Kourtsounis, 2014). The groups that oppose immigration have strongly
accused the government for allowing its borders to remain porous to illegal guests.
These groups have strongly indicated that, both legal and illegal immigrants are a
threat to American citizens. On the other hand, even though there is no one who is
advocating for immigration directly, the groups that support immigration urge the
Federal and local governments to develop policies that will legalize refugees who are
already seeking
American residents. These groups dwell on the fact that immigrants are also human
beings and that they are possibly looking to the Unites States in search for a safe
haven. They also emphasize that Americans have a sense of obligation through their
humanitarian philosophy, and so they cannot afford to lock them out, nor can they
afford to send back illegal children who are looking for safer place to live. Debaters
in this ethical dilemma both have genuine reasons why they support or oppose
immigration.
