Choices should be made carefully because your vanity is something you are going to possess for a
long time. If you choose the most beautiful vanity you have ever seen only to find it doesn t have the
features you want and need, you aren t going to be happy.
Several choose to go with traditional wooden cabinet style vanity. A vanity along with spacious
cabinets that enable you to store clean bath towels and other personal attention items underneath the
sink is a good option for someone who needs space for storing. For people who do not want to store
anything under the sink a pedestal sort base to hold the sink may be a good option.

frost Essay
The Road Not Taken
In line one, Frost introduces the elements of his primary metaphor, the diverging roads. Lines two to
three expresses the speaker s disappointment with his human limitations; he must make a choice. The
choice is not easy, since quot;long I stood quot; before coming to a decision. Lines four and five
examine the path as best the narrator can. However his vision is limited because the path bends and is
covered over. These lines indicate that although the speaker would like to acquire more information,
he is prevented from doing so because of the nature of his environment. In the following three lines,
lines six through eight, the speaker indicates that the second path is a more attractive choice because it

The Road Not Taken
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood.
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Has worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In the leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first foe another day!
Yet knowing how way leads onto way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
The reader can just picture Robert Frost walking in a wooded area of the New Hampshire forest when
suddenly he comes upon a trail that divides and he wrote he Road Not Taken? A poem that has been
used in countless high school graduation speeches and as a metaphor for any situation in which a
person must make an important decision. The simple themes have always appealed to Frost s readers

Theories Of The Beltway Sniper
Abstract
This paper will try to explore two theories of the beltway sniper. The first is the conflict theory and the
second is the psychological theory. There will be summarizing of the crime (dates, offenders, how
they were caught if they were). The two theories will try to explore the crime. Each of the theory will
shed light on the reasons for the crime. For this paper, I will provide evidence to which theory seems
to be stronger. I will also show any evidence that will lead to the deviant path that was taken. I will be
explaining how you determine the path that was taken for the crime. I hope that after reading this the
audience will have a better understanding of the conflict and psychological theory of the beltway DC

What makes someone want to take the lives of ten people? The month of October, 2002, for the
Washington Metropolitan Area was very bloody and violent. There was a killing spree that claimed ten
innocent lives in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland. The series of shootings, according to the
police reports, began with what was believed to be a white van or truck. The police later discovered
that the person behind the shooting was John Allen Muhammad. John had an accomplice: a teenager

The Morality Of The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn
Say it, Jim: the morality of connection in Adventures of Huckleberry Finn Laurel Bollinger College

Johns Hopkins University Press http://www.press.jhu.edu Full Text: The American literary tradition
has often been defined by its moments of radical autonomy Thoreau at his pond, Ishmael offering his
apostrophe to landlessness, Huck light[ing] out for the Territory ahead of the rest (Twain 1995,265). In
fact, Twain s novel is often taught as the text that epitomizes this tradition, with Huck held up as its
exemplar: a boy courageous enough to stand against the moral conventions of his society, to risk Hell
itself rather than conform to the sivilizing process of communities he rejects. (1) Yet such a focus
belies an alternate strand in the tradition: moments of radical connection that call into question not just
the value but even the possibility of autonomy The passage from which my title is drawn illustrates
this point. At the very moment Jim s freedom seems most in crisis, when Tom s injury puts the escape
on hold while Huck goes for the doctor, the two characters speak as one through Jim s voice. Knowing
Jim will say what they both think, Huck asks Jim to say it: No, sah I doan budge a step out n dis place,

elements, we must acknowledge the

How Did The League Of Nations A Success
The League of Nations was supposed to be an international organization that would help solve
disputes between the different countries to avoid future wars and bring lasting peace. It was endorsed
on January 10th, 1920 with its headquarters located in Geneva, Switzerland. The League was created
and introduced by President Woodrow Wilson of the United States of America along with his Fourteen
Points, a plan listing terms which he believed must be comprised in the Peace Treaty of Versailles
which would bring an end to World War I. Many nations were members of the League, and it did help
resolve certain issues, but unfortunately, there were quite as many failures as there were triumphs.
Eventually though, the League failed and led to World War II, only to be replaced by the United
Nations in 1946. The League of Nations, meant to be a strong power and keep peace with all nations
who were members, was only a weak and virtually power less organization. President Woodrow
Wilson created the League of Nations and used his immense influence to attempt to achieve its
success. He believed that it would guarantee lasting world peace and resolve any disputes between
nations. President Clemenceau of France and Prime Minister Loyd George of Great Britain, while
highly doubting that the League would succeed, supported it in order that Wilson would support their
plan of revenge on Germany. He was able, with the support from Clemenceau and George, to attach
the Covenant of the League to the

ECON 310 Intermediate Microeconomics Costco; Your Local Friend Lawrence Lam Cal State
Fullerton Superstores such as Wal Mart, Target, and Home Depot have always been frowned upon by
local businesses because of the competition it brings. Lower prices forces nearby stores to lower their
prices until they shut down because of the negative profits from lowering their prices or because they
don t acquire enough revenue to stay in the market. However ironically this feeling isn t shared
towards the opening of Costco, another wholesale superstore. Costco s lower prices surprisingly
causes local businesses to raise their prices. Even to the point where investors find area s relatively

Which all in all provides a better atmosphere of customer service towards consumers. This convinces
consumers to prefer to shop at Costco, knowing that they will come out satisfied at the end of the day.
(USA TODAY) Another key difference between Wal Mart and Costco is the fact that Costco requires
memberships from consumers. A contract which consumers pay in order to purchase any product at
Costco. Membership prices range from $55 110 annually which in return for the discount prices is
well worth. Costco memberships also provide reward programs for the more premium package such as
3% cash back for gasoline purchases. (ann arbor) This provides an incentive for consumers to do their
bulk spending ,like groceries, at Costco; knowing that a small fraction will be returned in the short run
which eventually adds up in the long run. This not only applies for those who plan on doing their
groceries but also for heavy purchases; TVs, Mattresses, Computers..etc. However this does not
appeal the consumers who wish to buy small quantity of units like picking up a gallon of milk. To pay
$55 110 a year for a gallon of milk doesn t make sense, especially since Costco only sells packages of
two gallons. Now you would have to spend more and are responsible for not letting the milk go to
waste. This maintains local stores as an alternative option for consumers where they

The Prospect Theory, A Behavioral Economic Theory
Prospect theory is a Behavioural Economics Theory which tries to understand how people take
decisions in terms of two alternatives, which have a probabilistic nature. These decision making
processes and their respective outcomes also involve risk. An important point of the Prospect Theory
is that it considers the fact that the outcomes of the alternatives are known. The basic idea behind the
theory is that people base their decisions on potential gains and losses, rather than thinking about the
final outcome. The theory is of the idea that people make such decisions about gains and losses with
the help of heuristics. The theory has been very critical in its application as it tries to bring forth a
model which is much more realistic in nature, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the equation, xi refers to the total number of possible outcomes and pi shows the probability of
those respective outcomes. In the equation w is referred to as the weighing function for the
probabilities which therefore shows that people tend to overreact to certain situations of smaller
probability as compared to larger probabilities.
MAJOR FEATURES
1) The coefficients of values are just gains and losses which are not to be confused with final wealth.
2) The model is able to represent greater sensitivity towards losses as compared to gains.
3) The function is convex for losses that would occur out of the possible outcomes and concave for
any sort of gain.
4) Weighing function helps to overweigh smaller probabilities.
APPLICATIONS OF PROSPECT THEORY
Barberis (2013) paper is a review of the applications of Prospect Theory. As some argue that the
Prospect Theory only works well under a laboratory setting, the author has other ideas to share.
According to Barberis, Prospect Theory is just not well made to be directly applied. The paper is able

The God of Small Things Book Analysis
The God of Small Things Book Analysis
Character: Esthappen, referred to as Estha, and Rahel are twins. Both are innocent children who are
still learning their manners. When they grow up and separate, Rahel moves to America and gets
married, and Estha leaves to go with Babu, their father who has left them. When he returns to
Ayemenem, Rahel also returns because they have a special bond. Their mother is referred to as Ammu.
She raises her children well with structure. Ammu has an affair with Velutha, an untouchable, getting
her banished from her home. Velutha is a servant in the Ayemenem home, aand the twins grow to
admire him. Mammachi is the twins grandmother; she does not talk much, but often plays the violin.

She writes in a sorry tone when describing moments of betrayal and family problems. When writing
about the childhood of the twins, she sounds happier because of their innocence. An example of irony
is that Comrade Pillai is a communist but does not want Velutha to join the revolution just because he
is an untouchable. A revolutionary leader would want all the support he can get, but because Velutha is
inferior, he does not accept him.
Setting amp; Location: The book is mainly set in Ayemenem, India during the 1960s. Most of the plot
occurs in the Ayemenem House, which is also the Paradise Pickles amp; Preserves factory they own.
Another setting includes the movie theatre called Abhilash Talkies in the city of Kerala when the
family goes to watch The Sound of Music. Another setting is in the airport when the family picks up
Sophie Mol and Margaret Kochamma.
Writer s Style: Arundhati Roy s style is very different from others. She writes with great detail and
incorporates deep imagery. She writes in flashbacks to show how the twins childhoods still affect them
as adults. She begins with the family s lives when they are older, and go back to when the twins were
children. This helps readers know what happens to the family before finding out about the events that
occur in between.
Symbols: Pappachi s moth symbolizes fear. It is first mentioned in chapter 2 when Pappachi discovers
a new moth species, but does not claim that he discovered it.

Why Did North Korea To Launch A Ballistic Missile
Recently, many Eastern Asian countries have been faced with the facts that the D.P.R.K or in other
words North Korea, can and may launch a ballistic missile at their homeland. North Korea has been in
the missile making business for about five and a half decades, and working frantically to develop an
ICBM or intercontinental ballistic missile that can reach the mainland of the United States. The
D.P.R.K s main goal is to continue testing and finally launch a missile at the United States. This can be
tracked down to the time of Kim Il Sung, and Soviet influence. When North Korea finally gets to the
capacity, when they can launch an ICBM, they will not stop until the United States is destroyed. This
is why North Korea will keep up their missile ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
North Korea appears to have ambitious plans for developing new long range missiles and has begun

could destroy United States bases in the Pacific. The developing missiles could potentially be capable
of a range of 7,000 to 9,500 kilometers and hold a 500 to 700 ton warhead. Recent, evidence suggests
that North Korea is developing multi stage missiles which can travel much longer distances than a

Decreasing the Wait Time for Cafeteria Food at Howard...
In my proposal plan I recommend that the average wait time at each food station in the café be
decreased, especially during high rush hour time for example during the lunch and dinner rushes. We
can help reduce the time by having servers make up pre portioned plates that way students can grab
and go instead of wait in a line for upwards of thirty minutes for cold food. We can also have different
food options added that serve different options because as of now the food lines operate on a schedule
with the same food options every week. Another recommendation would to be expanded the cafeteria
as a whole. As of now Howard University as roughly 10,000 undergraduate students, the cafeteria can
barely hold 800 students comfortably. This will ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I also learned that during peak hours of operation at both cafeterias the same amounts of workers are
on duty, to deal with the mass volumes of students. Students find that when they receive their meals
the food is often cold which is a health concern when food is not properly heated. This can cause other
concerns for student health for example food poisoning, which I reluctantly got from eating food from
the Howard university cafeteria. Some of the alternatives that I propose are to increase the amount of
workers during rush hour times to decrease the wait time. Also increase food options in what is

Resource Oriented Architecture
Resource Oriented Architecture (ROA) is the structural design supporting the internetworking of
resources. A resource in this context is any entity that can be identified and assigned a uniform
resource identifier ( URI) (whatis.techtarget.com). Per Dr. Roy Fielding, Resource oriented software is
known as an architectural style that exploits the existing technology and protocols of the web,
including HTTP and XML. There are four concepts that are most essential for ROA s which are:
Resources
Names (URIs)
What they represent
Links between each
And there are also four properties;
Addressability
Uniform Interface
Statelessness
Connectedness (whatis.techtarget.com).
With ROA s it is very important to first determine what should be considered as a Resource, this is
what really distinguishes the difference between the SOA s and the ROA s, once this has been done
the next thing would be to determine the resource types and how to invoke methods and also how to
correspond to the responses. The resources will be accessed through the HTTP interface. Because the
Resource Oriented Architectures are still in its beginning stages, in my opinion, I don t believe it
would be the best choice between itself and a Service Oriented

The Art World Of The 1970 S Essay
In the art world of the 1970 s, Mary Kelly responded directly to the issues raised in Mulvey s article
often making works that attempt to reclaim feminine identity. Most of Kelly s films are works of
research and documentation that concern ideas of women s roles and women s work. In the early
1970s Kelly was involved in the making of the film Night Cleaners (1970 1975). The film explored
contemporary issues of feminist activism in following a group of working class female service
labourers and feminist activists attempting to draw attention to their issues to build a union. The film
utilises documentary style, simple mimesis and minimal editing to build a more direct connection
between the subjects and the audience. Using the stories of real female cleaners and showcasing the
most abject of the labours, such a toilet cleaning, Night Cleaners presented a warts and all perspective
on women s work. While working as crew on the film, Kelly s role as a feminist activist meant Kelly
was also diegetically involved in the film. Kelly saw the radical potential in the film medium and she
utilised her work on Night Cleaners as a way to develop her artistic productivity in the realm of
moving image. Expanding her feminist ideologies beyond specific concerns of women s manual
labour, Kelly s later moving image work, Antepartum (1973), focused on the labour of motherhood.

Examples Of Selfishness In We Live In Water
Selfishness within the heart is what leads the mind to engage in self indulgent actions. The more self
absorbed the person, the less likely one is to put anyone above themselves. Though, through certain
circumstances in life, trials and tribulations can humble the selfish heart and bring it to humility. In the
short story We Live in Water, written by Jess Walter, the theme of selfishness is demonstrated through
the struggles of a greedy, self seeking man who is met with crisis that allows him to gradually step
back and acknowledge his faults. As the story opens, the main character, Oren, is introduced as a
washed up dead beat residing in Spokane, Washington where he lives a particularly bleak and
uninteresting life. Oren is simply a sinner who casts his sins onto others essentially equally as
shameful as him. Throughout the beginning of the short story, Walters effectively highlights the lows
found in the life of Oren. Specifically noted is Oren dismissive behavior in regards to his son,
Michael. His failure to acknowledge his son s imagination is the first case in which the reader is
exposed to the selfishness Oren obtains. Michael asks his father a simple question, Do we live in

Using Open Data For Business Choices
Helping Consumers It is safe to assume that the use of open data would effectively boost the strength
of businesses. (Manyika, Chui, Farrell, Van Kuiken, Groves, Almasi Doshi, 2013) And while this is
true, the McKinsey Global Institute makes the bold claim that open data benefits consumers even
more than businesses. (Manyika, Chui, Farrell, Van Kuiken, Groves, Almasi Doshi, 2013) They go on
to discuss the reasoning behind this, and it makes a lot of sense. While the data provided can be used
by providers to make effective business choices, the same data can also be presented to customers on a
platform that is not the company, giving them the chance to receive less biased information. This
allows them to make informed choices with their purchasing, whether it is choosing a different form
of the product they are seeking, or another brand or company all together. Improved Education
Choices The information provided by open data has the potential to increase the ability to make
informed choices when it comes to education and learning. (Park Shelton, 2012) The documented
highlighted provides many examples of how the information gained can be effectively used by schools
and individuals. It also highlights examples of the goals for the future of its growth. One of the
concepts that stood out was making students own data available to them in a form that allows them to
see where they are struggling, and subsequently tying that to data that shows how to improve in these

Multicultural Psychology Multicultural psychology is something that is relevant in this day and age.
Today, with a vast number of people of different minority attachments living together, the idea of
multicultural psychology is a good thing. Multicultural psychology is a discipline that is closely
related to cross cultural psychology and in fact is difficult to make that distinction ( Weiner,
Freedheim, Schinka, Gallagher, 2003). Multicultural psychology focuses on individuals with ethnic or
minority backgrounds and is important in the field of psychology today. What is multicultural
psychology exactly? The psychology department of Wheaton ... Show more content on

What are the problems that their children face? Someone who is a product of a mixed marriage may
struggle with his or her own racial or ethnic identity. The importance of such matters are all too often
minimized by traditional psychology. Further, the society is more and more diverse than ever before.
With people coming together from different nations, and different cultures, there is a need to address
different patterns of behavior and attitudes that exist amongst these groups. Again, the danger of
stereotyping is certainly there, but ignoring differences is to ignore very pertinent information.
Multicultural psychology can help in many areas of society, inclusive of counseling, but also in a
business environment. Because of the unique nature of multicultural psychology, it should exist as a
subspecialty of psychology. Multicultural psychology enhances the positives of all cultures and the
importance of diversity, it accepts the uniqueness of others based on race, religion, sex, and age.
Single parenting needs to be included as well under the umbrella of multicultural psychology. Even if
many single parents take all the appropriate actions for a total well being, some cannot perform in
high levels or maintain all their responsibilities. To minimize incidents of child problems like school
dropouts, early pregnancy and juvenile behavior, a single parent must learn to communicate well with
the children. Knowing and

Why Did Stalin Rather Than Trotsky Emerge as Leader of the...
Why did Stalin rather than Trotsky emerge as leader of the USSR in 1929?
When Lenin died in 1924 there was no clear leader of the communist party. By 1929 Stalin had
successfully managed to take power and begin his regime as leader. Here are the reasons to why Stalin
beat Trotsky.
Firstly many members of the communist distrusted Trotsky due to his Menshevik past and didn t see
him as a true and Loyal Bolshevik. He didn t join to Bolshevism until 1917 and this made the old
Bolsheviks suspect him. The distrust continued with his role as the commander of the Red Army and
his opportunism is switching alliances against and with other colleagues like Zinoviev and Kamenev.
Due to this many suspected him of becoming a dictator and they wanted ... Show more content on

Unrealistic Love Essay
We all wish to have that magical moment a moment that just leaves you in awe and feelings that are
indescribable. A couple of seconds that your heart just beats faster and faster and there s no stopping
the excitement, the happiness, the butterflies. Sounds like it was just taken out of a love song, right?
Truth of the matter is that love songs influence young culture on how love should feel and create this
stereotype that love is nothing but a moment filled with passion and desires. But reality is that s not
always the case and these songs set up unrealistic measures such as, a passionate moment or falling in
love solely on physical attraction; and if you don t achieve that moment or are not attracted in that
instant then you re not in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These three songs are very popular in pop culture and country, primarily aimed at girls in their teens
and young adults. The purpose of this paper is to prove that these songs in the music industry mold the
point of view that teen s have regarding love.
Summary: Today was a fairytale Today was a fairytale , is a 4:01 song written by Taylor Swift, and
produced by Nathan Chapman used in the soundtrack for major motion picture Valentine s Day. The
song describes exactly the title, a young girl who felt like a princess when she went out with her
prince charming on a magical date. The song describes a scenario in where she wore a pretty dress and
he wore a dark grey t shirt. She knew she loved him just by a simple glare, the way he kissed her, how
he made her heart beat faster and cause time to slow down due to his presence.
Analysis
The song basically describes the perfect date and all these emotions that are supposed to be felt to
indicate that you love the person. The artist adds classical elements and modern day elements to her
song making it more relatable to teens and also causing them to remember memories of when they
were kids watching Snow White and wishing one day they will be that princess. The artist keeps

The history of the rocket dates way back to 400 B.C. One of the first rockets to successfully break the
principles essential to rocket flight was a wooden bird. Escaping steam propelled the birdwas
suspended from some wires. The pigeon used the action reaction principle, which was not stated as a
scientific law until the 17th century. In 1989 Russian teacher Konstantin Tsiokovsky puts forward the
idea of using rockets for space exploration. Tsiokovsky says liquid propellants would gain greater
range. In 1969 Apollo 11 is the first space flight to land people on the Moon. Neil Armstrong is the
first astronaut to set foot on the Moon. 12 astronauts walk on the Moon during 6 missions. Ed Cernan

First we measured out where the fins would go on the body of the rocket. Next we made the part of
the rocket that would help it fly, i think it s called the motor mount tube. Afterwards we assembled the
thrust rings onto the motor so it would fit in the body, and put tape around the nose cone. The motor
was then placed into the tube. The fins went on next with some glue, and the launch lug so it can fly
further. All of this was sealed with sealer. The last thing we did was place the wadding, and the
parachute in the body, and we were good to go. Painted it all nice, and neatly. The rocket will launch

Civil War Art Essay
The Civil War happened in 1861 and lasted until 1865. During that time period, artists depicted the
war itself, the Native Americans, the landscape of America, and the people of the nation. The artists
sought to show that America was a great country, and that the people themselves were hardworking,
committed, and determined.
To start, the civil war art (figures 23 through 32) evokes a feeling of patriotism, but also conflict.
Figure 23 shows what seems to be a parade, with many soldiers and American flags. However, the
pictures then move to show a child drummer, with no shoes, and clothes that are too big for him, most
likely symbolizing that the war is forcing children to lose their youth and childhood. Figures 25

land full of natural beauty and worth. Figures 27 and 28 do not look exactly like the United Stated, but

seems to be showing the downfall of a nation, which could have been how the artist viewed the Civil
War time period. The rest of the figures simply show more natural beauty, once again signifying that
the artists saw the worth of the United States, and perhaps wanted to bring this to people s attention
again to help them realize that the war was hurting such a wonderful

Compare Flexible Spending Accounts
If ever you ve had to pay out of pocket for medical, dental, vision or prescription expenses, you likely
either already had some money set aside or wish you had... That s where Healthcare Flexible Spending
Accounts (HCFSA), Limited Purpose Flexible Spending Accounts (LPFSA) and Health Savings
Accounts (HSA) come in particularly handy. As a Benefits Administration Professional, I ve become
acquainted with the various types of accounts available to cover healthcare costs. The similarities and
differences in these account structures will be covered in this essay.
One thing these accounts all have in common is their very specific rules that are governed by IRS
guidelines in Publications 502 969. Misuse of the accounts will lead to hefty penalties and other
unfavorable tax ramifications. Each has specific eligible expenses and deviating from those strict
guidelines is a recipe for a tax disaster.
HSAs are to be used in conjunction with a high deductible health plan, which in the current plan year
is defined as a medial plan with a minimum annual deductible of $1300 for self only and $2600 for

during the plan year. The funds generally do not roll over from year to year (though some employers

referred to as Use It Or Lose It accounts for this reason. One key differentiator between HSA and
HCFSA is that the funds are available from the very beginning of the plan year rather than becoming
available as they accrue. Employers fully fund the account up front and the participant pays this back

John Of Gaunt Research Paper
John of Gaunt was born in 1340 during a time of great strife, to King Edward III of England and his
wife, Phillippa (Walker). He was raised in the household of his elder brother, Edward, Prince of Wales,
and introduced into military life quite early (Walker). He was brought up as a prince should be as well
as being groomed as a military man quite early in life well. His first sign of nobility, besides his
multiple titles, was his investiture as a knight of the Garter in April 1361 (Walker). Shortly after this
appointment, he married Blanche of Lancaster, a wealthy heiress of another English nobleman. This
fact is important because it connects Geoffrey Chaucer to his rich patron, John of Gaunt, and Blanche

His marriage had granted him considerable amounts of land, and he inherited the prestigious title
Duke of Lancaster when his father in law died (Walker). Blanche of Lancaster died in 1369
(Buescher), leaving Gaunt to marry his second wife, Constance of Castile. She was the daughter of
King Pedro of Spain, making her a princess in her own right. Upon their marriage, Gaunt became
King of Castile and Leon (Buescher). After these two marriages, Gaunt found himself even more rich
and powerful. After recognizing the failing health of his father, the king, and his brother, the Prince of
Wales, he was made the king s captain and lieutenant (Marks). After his father and brother died, his 11
year old nephew, Richard, took the throne of England (Marks). Through this, he again had immense
power and strength behind the crown. After his son deposed Richard II, John became even more
powerful, now the father of the King of England. He proved to be an excellent military and political
force, acting as a king behind the scenes , particularly for his young nephew Richard II. However,
during the English Peasant s Revolt in 1381, John of Gaunt lost some favor with the English people
and his nephew. Gaunt is generally regarded as the person common people chiefly blamed

N Demand Side Benefits Of Scale
· Demand side benefits of scale (network effect): For a crucial products like vehicles, the buyer will
trust more to larger automotive company which have already been in the industry. The long lasting
and well known automotive companies such as General Motors, Chrysler, and Toyota create network
effect among the potential buyers, which is they will more likely to purchase the trusted brands instead
of new entrants. The purchase intention graph above shows that most consumers in the US still want
to purchase major brands such as Toyota, Honda, GM, and Ford consecutively on the last year. While
the other existing automotive brands have purchase intention below average, it will be difficult for
new entrants to fight competitors to capture the market.
· Unequal access to distribution channels: The new entrants in auto industry must deal with the
distribution channels for selling their products. With the high entry barriers from incumbents, entrants
usually have to put high investment to build their own distribution channels.
Automotive Industry Online notices that the existing loyalty to major brands has eroded. At the same
time, foreign low cost and high quality automotive producers such as Kia and Tata have the potential
of taking market share from domestic producers especially from the growing low end market. The
domestic automakers should anticipate this situation by utilizing customer switching cost and
emphasizing brand loyalty program. However, with

any other form of creator. While, theism is when you believe in the existence of God. For the past few
100 years there has been a constant debate on these two aspect, Atheism vs. Theism.

Architecture Is A Concept That Was First Defined By Victor...
Bioclimatic architecture is a concept that was first defined by Victor Olgyay in 1963 (Bondars 2013,
84) and describes the relationship between humans, the climate and the architectural design of a
structure. Bioclimatic design analyses the relationship between a favourable microclimate inside a
structure that is in synergy with the surrounding macroclimate and thus requires minimal mechanical
heating or cooling to achieve the microclimate for habitation (Larasati and Mochtar 2013, 823).
Since the publication of Olgyay s findings in the book Design with Climate: Bioclimatic Approach to
Architectural Regionalism (1963) , design principles of bioclimatic architecture have become
extensively discussed. However, the practical application of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Architects are now called upon to create designs that provide social change, improve the health of a
building s inhabitants, increase equality and in general improve social life (Dutton and Mann 1996 in
Woodward 2007, 3). Bioclimatic design falls within this brief as it priviledges designs that are at one
with the surrounding climate and produce a harmonious microclimate for the inhabitants, thus
improving health and providing social change. However, until recently technical aspects of producing
bioclimatic designs were ceded to specialist trained engineers in the field of Bioclimatics (Altomonte
2009, 13). Thus, keeping architectural education focused on its long held traditions of culture, emotion
and improving the landscape. This ensures that there is a continued gap between the traditional
education of new architects and the education of principles of bioclimatic design. Which makes it
difficult for architects to incorporate bioclimatic principles into their final designs.
Njuguna (1997, 356) further confirming this, finding that 95% of students believed that their
education did not prepare them for a climate responsive design. Citing that the conventional approach
to their architectural education was at fault. The conventional educational approach to architecture,
which sees components such as bioclimatics taught in parallel or even in competition to traditional
architecture simply does not provide an adequate preperation for

Character Development Of Hamlet
Hamlet s character drastically develops over the first four acts of Hamlet, and his character
development is most evident through the soliloquys he delivers throughout the play. The most
character development can be seen from the first soliloquy, to the second, the third, the sixth, and the
seventh and final soliloquy. Hamlet s inner conflict with his thoughts and his actions are well analyzed
in his soliloquys, as well as his struggles with life and death, and his very own existence. He begins
the play wondering what purpose he has in life now that his father is dead and his mother has
remarried to his uncle. After finding out foul play was involved in his father s death, he is motivated
by revenge. Finally, he wonders how he can enact his revenge while continuously overthinking and
overanalyzing his actions. In Act I, scene II, Hamlet delivers his first soliloquy after his mother and
new step dad/uncle Claudius try to convince him to get over the death of his father, and to accept their
rather hasty marriage. In his first soliloquy, Hamlet questions whether or not he should kill himself,
and curses God for making suicide a sin. Hamlet is also fixated on his mother s rushed marriage to his
uncle, not even a month after his father s death. Hamlet says, A little month, or ere those shoes were
old/with which she followed my poor father s body (Lines 146 147). He is very hooked on the fact
that his mother wore the same shoes to her wedding as she did to her husband s funeral, not even
having time in between to break the shoes in. Hamlet wishes he could say whatever he wants and
express his disgust about his mother s marriage and his hatred for his uncle, but since his uncle is the
reigning King of Denmark, he has to hold his tongue and show respect for the king. This first
soliloquy introduces the reader to Hamlet s indecisiveness and over analytical mindset. Hamlet is
confronted by the ghostly figure of his father in Act I, scene V. Hamlet s father informs him that he
had been murdered by Claudius. King Hamlet tells his son to avenge his death, but doesn t specify
how. King Hamlet also tells Hamlet to leave his mother out of the revenge plot, as King Hamlet
believes Claudius seduced Queen Gertrude. King

Summary Of The Great Gatsby By F. Scott Fitzgerald
Zack and I met when I was four and he was seven. I was playing in my front yard when he rolled
down the street on his bike. He was a fairly scrawny boy with short dirty blond hair, and bright green
eyes. His teeth would have been perfectly straight if not for the massive gap his two front teeth left
when they freed themselves from his face. It was pretty obvious there was an age difference between
us, but he stopped anyway and introduced himself briefly then went about his business patrolling the
neighborhood on his little Superman bike. From that point on we saw each other in passing but never
really became good friends until one summer about two years later.
All the other neighborhood kids had left for the summer so we were the only two smaller kids still
around. We decided it would be fun if we went down to the usual hangout spot for all the children in
the neighborhood, the woods down behind the community swimming pool. The pool was catty corner
to my house, so I was just waiting in my front yard for Zach to walk the distance of the two houses
that separated my yard and his. We met up in front of the cherry tree in my side yard then proceeded to
walk down the street towards the pool. Along the length of the street was a fenced in yard that
inclosed six of the most obnoxious dogs that ever walked the face of the Earth. Three of the dogs were
small yappy little things, one of them was a midsize mut, and the last two were fairly large jet black
canines with a vendetta

I Am On The Clock Right Now
As I neared Bryant Street, I shifted the box with car parts. I had to get them to that guy up the block as
quickly as I could. There wouldn t be anything to smile about if I got fired for being too slow. Music

against cars in front of the barbershop. I rushed past them, trying to balance the car parts in the box
with one hand while rubbing my other hand; trying some of the sticky grease off of it. I spotted Sam
and Maxie and crossed toward them. Hey, Sam. Maxie. Hey, Bucky, she replied, You finally got a free

that. I m glad I ran into you, Sam. Do you a favor, will ya? Tell Steve to stop by the shop tomorrow.
We gotta talk. I sped up my speaking, It s real important. I tried to catch him earlier, but I missed my
shot. Yeah, no problem, Bucky. I ll tell him. I grinned, relieved. Thanks man, I gotta go. Get back to
work fore they dock me. I slapped his shoulder. Catch ya later. I jogged off down the sidewalk and
then slowed to wave at some friends coming out of the mini grocery carrying bottles of soda. One of
them called out and I turned partway, still jogging. You coming tonight, man? Can t. Working, I called

Studies in the past have Indicated that, lack of adequate sexual and reproductive health knowledge
may possibly represent a key factor preventing the complete elimination of unwanted pregnancies, and
unsafe induced abortion among adolescent girls in Nigeria. According to Ipas(2005) unplanned
pregnancies are the result of various factors, including lack of knowledge about menstruation and
pregnancy, lack of access to, and knowledge about how to use contraceptives; difficulties in using
contraceptives because of a partner s or family objections; contraceptive failure; and sexual assault.
Also, adolescents may more often delay seeking care for abortion related complications due to lack of
transportation, lack of knowledge about where post abortion care can be obtained, fears of censure
from their parents and health care providers, fear of legal repercussions, or lack of money to pay for
services (Ipas, 2005). This may be particularly so in rural communities where access to basic in

  • 3. frost Essay The Road Not Taken In line one, Frost introduces the elements of his primary metaphor, the diverging roads. Lines two to three expresses the speaker s disappointment with his human limitations; he must make a choice. The choice is not easy, since quot;long I stood quot; before coming to a decision. Lines four and five examine the path as best the narrator can. However his vision is limited because the path bends and is covered over. These lines indicate that although the speaker would like to acquire more information, he is prevented from doing so because of the nature of his environment. In the following three lines, lines six through eight, the speaker indicates that the second path is a more attractive choice because it appears as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Th road is the most important thing in the world in the shop who can mentioneds the important factor s in the worlkd . But si t The Road Not Taken Two roads diverged in a yellow wood. And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that, the passing there Has worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In the leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first foe another day! Yet knowing how way leads onto way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. The reader can just picture Robert Frost walking in a wooded area of the New Hampshire forest when

From Literature Resource Center. Copyright: COPYRIGHT 2002 Johns Hopkins University Press http://www.press.jhu.edu Full Text: The American literary tradition has often been defined by its moments of radical autonomy Thoreau at his pond, Ishmael offering his apostrophe to landlessness, Huck light[ing] out for the Territory ahead of the rest (Twain 1995,265). In fact, Twain s novel is often taught as the text that epitomizes this tradition, with Huck held up as its exemplar: a boy courageous enough to stand against the moral conventions of his society, to risk Hell itself rather than conform to the sivilizing process of communities he rejects. (1) Yet such a focus belies an alternate strand in the tradition: moments of radical connection that call into question not just the value but even the possibility of autonomy The passage from which my title is drawn illustrates this point. At the very moment Jim s freedom seems most in crisis, when Tom s injury puts the escape on hold while Huck goes for the doctor, the two characters speak as one through Jim s voice. Knowing Jim will say what they both think, Huck asks Jim to say it: No, sah I doan budge a step out n dis place, dout a doctor; not if it s forty year! • 7. How Did The League Of Nations A Success The League of Nations was supposed to be an international organization that would help solve disputes between the different countries to avoid future wars and bring lasting peace. It was endorsed on January 10th, 1920 with its headquarters located in Geneva, Switzerland. The League was created and introduced by President Woodrow Wilson of the United States of America along with his Fourteen Points, a plan listing terms which he believed must be comprised in the Peace Treaty of Versailles which would bring an end to World War I. Many nations were members of the League, and it did help resolve certain issues, but unfortunately, there were quite as many failures as there were triumphs. Eventually though, the League failed and led to World War II, only to be replaced by the United Nations in 1946. The League of Nations, meant to be a strong power and keep peace with all nations who were members, was only a weak and virtually power less organization. President Woodrow Wilson created the League of Nations and used his immense influence to attempt to achieve its success. He believed that it would guarantee lasting world peace and resolve any disputes between nations. President Clemenceau of France and Prime Minister Loyd George of Great Britain, while highly doubting that the League would succeed, supported it in order that Wilson would support their plan of revenge on Germany. Economic Impact ECON 310 Intermediate Microeconomics Costco; Your Local Friend Lawrence Lam Cal State Fullerton Superstores such as Wal Mart, Target, and Home Depot have always been frowned upon by local businesses because of the competition it brings. Lower prices forces nearby stores to lower their prices until they shut down because of the negative profits from lowering their prices or because they don t acquire enough revenue to stay in the market. Which all in all provides a better atmosphere of customer service towards consumers. This convinces consumers to prefer to shop at Costco, knowing that they will come out satisfied at the end of the day. (USA TODAY) Another key difference between Wal Mart and Costco is the fact that Costco requires memberships from consumers. A contract which consumers pay in order to purchase any product at Costco. Membership prices range from $55 110 annually which in return for the discount prices is well worth. Costco memberships also provide reward programs for the more premium package such as 3% cash back for gasoline purchases. (ann arbor) This provides an incentive for consumers to do their bulk spending ,like groceries, at Costco; knowing that a small fraction will be returned in the short run which eventually adds up in the long run. This not only applies for those who plan on doing their groceries but also for heavy purchases; TVs, Mattresses, Computers..etc. However this does not appeal the consumers who wish to buy small quantity of units like picking up a gallon of milk. To pay $55 110 a year for a gallon of milk doesn t make sense, especially since Costco only sells packages of two gallons. Now you would have to spend more and are responsible for not letting the milk go to waste. This maintains local stores as an alternative option for consumers where they ... • 11. The Prospect Theory, A Behavioral Economic Theory Prospect theory is a Behavioural Economics Theory which tries to understand how people take decisions in terms of two alternatives, which have a probabilistic nature. These decision making processes and their respective outcomes also involve risk. An important point of the Prospect Theory is that it considers the fact that the outcomes of the alternatives are known. The basic idea behind the theory is that people base their decisions on potential gains and losses, rather than thinking about the final outcome. The theory is of the idea that people make such decisions about gains and losses with the help of heuristics. In my proposal plan I recommend that the average wait time at each food station in the cafĂ© be decreased, especially during high rush hour time for example during the lunch and dinner rushes. We can help reduce the time by having servers make up pre portioned plates that way students can grab and go instead of wait in a line for upwards of thirty minutes for cold food. The Art World Of The 1970 S Essay In the art world of the 1970 s, Mary Kelly responded directly to the issues raised in Mulvey s article often making works that attempt to reclaim feminine identity. Most of Kelly s films are works of research and documentation that concern ideas of women s roles and women s work. In the early 1970s Kelly was involved in the making of the film Night Cleaners (1970 1975). The film explored contemporary issues of feminist activism in following a group of working class female service labourers and feminist activists attempting to draw attention to their issues to build a union. The film utilises documentary style, simple mimesis and minimal editing to build a more direct connection between the subjects and the audience. Using the stories of real female cleaners and showcasing the most abject of the labours, such a toilet cleaning, Night Cleaners presented a warts and all perspective on women s work. While working as crew on the film, Kelly s role as a feminist activist meant Kelly was also diegetically involved in the film. Kelly saw the radical potential in the film medium and she utilised her work on Night Cleaners as a way to develop her artistic productivity in the realm of moving image. The domestic automakers should anticipate this situation by utilizing customer switching cost and emphasizing brand loyalty program. However, with ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 32. Is Atheism Naive To what extent is atheism naive? To what extent is atheism naive? well this question tends to be a matter of opinion and in my opinion atheism is naĂŻve to some extent if you look at it in the lens of the argument posted. So firstly, what is atheism? Atheism is when you don t believe existence of God or any other form of creator. While, theism is when you believe in the existence of God. For the past few 100 years there has been a constant debate on these two aspect, Atheism vs. Theism. St. Thomas Aquinas is considered one the greatest Christian philosophers to have ever lived. In his Summa Theologiae, St. Thomas Aquinas put forward five way for the existence of God. Out of his five ways his third way was Contingent and Necessary Objects . ... • 33. Architecture Is A Concept That Was First Defined By Victor... Bioclimatic architecture is a concept that was first defined by Victor Olgyay in 1963 (Bondars 2013, 84) and describes the relationship between humans, the climate and the architectural design of a structure. Bioclimatic design analyses the relationship between a favourable microclimate inside a structure that is in synergy with the surrounding macroclimate and thus requires minimal mechanical heating or cooling to achieve the microclimate for habitation (Larasati and Mochtar 2013, 823). Since the publication of Olgyay s findings in the book Design with Climate: Bioclimatic Approach to Architectural Regionalism (1963) , design principles of bioclimatic architecture have become extensively discussed. However, the practical application of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Architects are now called upon to create designs that provide social change, improve the health of a building s inhabitants, increase equality and in general improve social life (Dutton and Mann 1996 in Woodward 2007, 3). Bioclimatic design falls within this brief as it priviledges designs that are at one with the surrounding climate and produce a harmonious microclimate for the inhabitants, thus improving health and providing social change. However, until recently technical aspects of producing bioclimatic designs were ceded to specialist trained engineers in the field of Bioclimatics (Altomonte 2009, 13). Thus, keeping architectural education focused on its long held traditions of culture, emotion and improving the landscape. This ensures that there is a continued gap between the traditional education of new architects and the education of principles of bioclimatic design. Which makes it difficult for architects to incorporate bioclimatic principles into their final designs. Njuguna (1997, 356) further confirming this, finding that 95% of students believed that their education did not prepare them for a climate responsive design. Citing that the conventional approach to their architectural education was at fault. The conventional educational approach to architecture, which sees components such as bioclimatics taught in parallel or even in competition to traditional architecture simply does not provide an adequate preperation for ... • 35. Character Development Of Hamlet Hamlet s character drastically develops over the first four acts of Hamlet, and his character development is most evident through the soliloquys he delivers throughout the play. The most character development can be seen from the first soliloquy, to the second, the third, the sixth, and the seventh and final soliloquy. Hamlet s inner conflict with his thoughts and his actions are well analyzed in his soliloquys, as well as his struggles with life and death, and his very own existence. He begins the play wondering what purpose he has in life now that his father is dead and his mother has remarried to his uncle. After finding out foul play was involved in his father s death, he is motivated by revenge. Finally, he wonders how he can enact his revenge while continuously overthinking and overanalyzing his actions. In Act I, scene II, Hamlet delivers his first soliloquy after his mother and new step dad/uncle Claudius try to convince him to get over the death of his father, and to accept their rather hasty marriage. In his first soliloquy, Hamlet questions whether or not he should kill himself, and curses God for making suicide a sin. Hamlet is also fixated on his mother s rushed marriage to his uncle, not even a month after his father s death. Hamlet says, A little month, or ere those shoes were old/with which she followed my poor father s body (Lines 146 147). He is very hooked on the fact that his mother wore the same shoes to her wedding as she did to her husband s funeral, not even having time in between to break the shoes in. Hamlet wishes he could say whatever he wants and express his disgust about his mother s marriage and his hatred for his uncle, but since his uncle is the reigning King of Denmark, he has to hold his tongue and show respect for the king. This first soliloquy introduces the reader to Hamlet s indecisiveness and over analytical mindset. Hamlet is confronted by the ghostly figure of his father in Act I, scene V. Hamlet s father informs him that he had been murdered by Claudius. King Hamlet tells his son to avenge his death, but doesn t specify how. King Hamlet also tells Hamlet to leave his mother out of the revenge plot, as King Hamlet believes Claudius seduced Queen Gertrude. King ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 36. Summary Of The Great Gatsby By F. Scott Fitzgerald Zack and I met when I was four and he was seven. I was playing in my front yard when he rolled down the street on his bike. He was a fairly scrawny boy with short dirty blond hair, and bright green eyes. His teeth would have been perfectly straight if not for the massive gap his two front teeth left when they freed themselves from his face. It was pretty obvious there was an age difference between us, but he stopped anyway and introduced himself briefly then went about his business patrolling the neighborhood on his little Superman bike. From that point on we saw each other in passing but never really became good friends until one summer about two years later. All the other neighborhood kids had left for the summer so we were the only two smaller kids still around. We decided it would be fun if we went down to the usual hangout spot for all the children in the neighborhood, the woods down behind the community swimming pool. The pool was catty corner to my house, so I was just waiting in my front yard for Zach to walk the distance of the two houses that separated my yard and his. We met up in front of the cherry tree in my side yard then proceeded to walk down the street towards the pool. Along the length of the street was a fenced in yard that inclosed six of the most obnoxious dogs that ever walked the face of the Earth. Three of the dogs were small yappy little things, one of them was a midsize mut, and the last two were fairly large jet black canines with a vendetta ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 37. I Am On The Clock Right Now As I neared Bryant Street, I shifted the box with car parts. I had to get them to that guy up the block as quickly as I could. There wouldn t be anything to smile about if I got fired for being too slow. Music was blaring from a radio perched on top a phone booth down the block, where a group of men leaned against cars in front of the barbershop. I rushed past them, trying to balance the car parts in the box with one hand while rubbing my other hand; trying some of the sticky grease off of it. I spotted Sam and Maxie and crossed toward them. Hey, Sam. Maxie. Hey, Bucky, she replied, You finally got a free afternoon? Hardly. No, girl, I m on the clock right now. Just dropping off some parts to a guy up the block. I pointed my thumb over my shoulder. I suddenly remembered that I had to talk to Stick about that. I m glad I ran into you, Sam. Do you a favor, will ya? Tell Steve to stop by the shop tomorrow. We gotta talk. I sped up my speaking, It s real important. I tried to catch him earlier, but I missed my shot. Yeah, no problem, Bucky. I ll tell him. I grinned, relieved. Thanks man, I gotta go. Get back to work fore they dock me. I slapped his shoulder. Catch ya later. I jogged off down the sidewalk and then slowed to wave at some friends coming out of the mini grocery carrying bottles of soda. One of them called out and I turned partway, still jogging. Studies in the past have Indicated that, lack of adequate sexual and reproductive health knowledge may possibly represent a key factor preventing the complete elimination of unwanted pregnancies, and unsafe induced abortion among adolescent girls in Nigeria. According to Ipas(2005) unplanned pregnancies are the result of various factors, including lack of knowledge about menstruation and pregnancy, lack of access to, and knowledge about how to use contraceptives; difficulties in using contraceptives because of a partner s or family objections; contraceptive failure; and sexual assault. Also, adolescents may more often delay seeking care for abortion related complications due to lack of transportation, lack of knowledge about where post abortion care can be obtained, fears of censure from their parents and health care providers, fear of legal repercussions, or lack of money to pay for services (Ipas, 2005).
