- 2. Team Spirit…..Why? Rationale for a Team Approach Teams are a part of everyone's life. You're a member of a family team, a staff team, school, health care and community teams. So it's appropriate that you understand how to function effectively as a team member.
- 5. How to foster team spirit 1. Make sure team members know a bit about each other's personal life. 2. Find reasons to celebrate together, such as birthdays, birth of a baby or grandchild, moving into a new house. 3. Let them know that you are also part of the team by asking your staff what they need from you to make their job more satisfactory, and doing your best to provide it. 4. People working together can sustain the enthusiasm and lend support needed to complete the work of each program 5. Discuss, determine and agree rewards for good performance 6. Make sure the combined purpose and importance of the team’s work is understood by everyone Keep everyone informed on progress
