The reason why I have thought of this idea is because for me indie pop music for me is different from normal pop music as the lyrics and rhythms of indie pop music are more meaningful. Therefore, I think it would be fitting to use the word “soul” as the brand name as it implies to the audience that the brand will offer a deep connection with the audience meaning that the audience can develop their personal identity with the help of the magazine. 2. I like the word “unorthodox” as it is a very unusual word and you would not hear it in every day conversation. I think this would be an advantage as having it as my brand name as if someone was to hear that name they may be intrigued to what it is linked to and look it up. Unorthodox meaning something that is unusual and I think this fits perfectly with the indie pop genre. 3. The reason why I thought “waves” may be a good brand name was because it links in with sound waves for music. I don't want the brand name to be too long or obvious so I have not included the word “sound” at the start. Also, waves connote energy and indie music is all about the passion for the music itself so I think this fits in nicely. 4. Like the third idea, this one links to music too. This is because a radar can be connected to a radio radar which obviously plays and promotes music. I thought radar would be a good idea as it shows that the brand picks up new entertainment and information for the audience, the two main purposes of a magazine. 5. The reason why I thought “INDI” could be a possible title for my magazine is because it links directly to the genre of the magazine. This shows the reader of the magazine straight away that the genre of the magazine without having to look further.
