Suyo Multi Purpose Cooperative is celebrating their 37th General Assembly Meeting. The regional director congratulates the cooperative and wishes them well. The cooperative is recognized for its important role in the region through participation in social inclusion, economic empowerment, and aligning with the cooperative business model of putting people before profit according to a recent ILO report. The director encourages continuing to develop initiatives focused on visibility, advocacy, capacity building, networking, and collaboration.

building, strengthening co-operative development networking, and
collaboration with members, civil society organizations and other
stakeholders.
The Global Commission on the Future of Work, set up by the International
Labour Organisation (ILO), recently released its final report entitled “Work
for a Brighter Future” where cooperatives aligned themselves exactly as a
cooperative business model by putting people before profit,”
