 Inspired by H. H Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
 Motto - Give an hour a day to the nation
 Partnership with various stakeholders of the society
 Bridge the social issues through the spirit of Volunteerism and renewed sense
of human values.
What is VBI?
 From Mob-o-cracy to Movement:
• Provides organizational structure for the citizen’s movement
• Converting emotions to constructive and creative work
 Bringing local community, media, local administration together on the
country’s burning issues
 Amplifying the voice of every Indian
Who is in VBI?
 Common link: patriotism/ love for nation
VBI Achievements
Over 1700 projects implemented all over India
 Jal Jagruti Abhiyan:
o Over 100k farmer benefitted
o 3 rivers revived in Maharashtra
 Kumudavathi River rejuvenation project
o Would solve 60% of Bangalore water problems
 Light a Home: Rural electrification
 Medical camps: Over 1000 camps all over India
 Women safety/empowerment Drives
 De-addiction camps
 Drive against Corruption
o Administering oath not to give/ take bribe
o “I don’t take bribe” stickers on office tables

 Organized Fundraising/Awareness drives in key cities in US
 Multiple Google hangouts and conference calls with social leaders
 Alliances with organizations working for betterment of India and Indians
 Ongoing multi-city tour for VBI chief architect Darshak Hathi

How can You get involved?
1. Time
 2 hours per week for OVBI activities (Social media/ Setting booths in Indian
cultural events/ Street campaigns)
2. Money
 Sponsor a bike for VBI volunteers
 Sponsor a VBI volunteer for 1 year
 Sponsor patriotic film screening in schools/ universities
3. Talent
 Network and form partnerships with like minded organizations, social media,
graphic design, web programming etc.
 Organize Fund raisers
o Involve NRI community leaders and professionals
(IT, doctors, lawyers etc)
 Outreach in temples/ gurudwaras
 Working with Indian IT companies
 Awareness drives about burning issues in India
 Universities: Open new chapters
 Reach out to Indian media
 Organize google hangouts with key VBI grass root leaders
 Blogging to improve the image of India
