Business Model - Cooperative model? What it takes to become a
coop model
Provide business opportunities which provide members the
means and confidence to reconstruct the community as a place
for peace and progress.
Coop helps in creating stability and enthusiasm by focusing on
the socio-eco issues and you succeeded, your milestones,
achievements and many positive outcomes of your existence
have multiplier effects to the community.
Coop means taking care of each other and treat coop to be the
best university of learning. Aside from your contributions, O & M
should invest time, participation, cooperation, patience, learning
and understanding
Slowly and surely you are building your assets and I have no
doubt one day, you will produce the next billionaire coop in Suyo.
The formula is simple: + and x.
It is the dream of Filipino families esp the marginalized and
vulnerable to have a better quality life. That is the reason for our
existence. The coop serves as catalyst for change agent to make
this possible.
1. Concretely the coop should provide services that are
cheaper than their competitors, on time.
2. Be BB to a SB. They need assistance in order for them to
pass the critical stage growing as enterprise. Come up with a
business plan for them
3. 69 member countries of ICA agreed that the future stat will
be on employment and value added (Scale up busineness) ,
A & L, Use of profits/Surplus and earning of workers (decent
work).

5. Open your doors for members. More members, more
livelihood, more eco activities and more people will be
benefitted/served or reached
6. Members should also pay on time. If we have collection
problem then the coop can now avail of small court claims of
P 300K. This was developed by the Supreme Court to
provide a simple, speedy, and inexpensive means of dispute
settlement in courts. The procedure provides simple forms,
dispute settlement procedures, and a one-hearing rule.
7. Members to patronize and patronize the services of coops.
Initially members to have the greatest motivation to change
their lives.
Other challenges are to fully utilize its Community Development
Fund for its participation and involvement in community-based
activities of its member-consumers. This can be done through
various social responsibility programs that can be initiated by the
cooperative; Develop programs and carry out plans based on
ideals that reflect the thinking of its members, with realistic goals
adjusted to the purposes of the cooperative.
Update: CDA MC 2019-01 dated 11-5.2018 All cooperatives
should notify their members of its obligation to submit their
borrowers Basic Credit Data and other info to the Credit Info
Corporation (CIC) subject to the provisions of RA 9510 and its
IRR.
Dear Cooperative Members:
This is to notify that you that pursuant to RA 9510 and its
IRR, creating the CIC, the coop is mandated to submit your basic
credit data (as defined in RA No. 9510 and its IRR) as well as any
regular updates or corrections thereof, to the CIC for
consolidation and disclosure as may be authorized by the CIC.
Consequently, your basic credit data may thus be shared
with other lenders authorized by CIC and other credit reporting
agencies duly accredited by the CIC for the purpose of
establishing creditworthiness.
