Grupo Jade is a Mexican cooperative group formed in 2005 to promote social and common economy enterprises. It aims to generate better living conditions for poor communities through cooperatives, education, and sustainable local development projects. The group has over 13,000 individual members and operates various businesses across multiple Mexican states, with annual sales of over $700 million. It follows principles of democracy, solidarity, education, and social justice in its organizational structure and economic activities.

17. VII. Organizational Structure General Council It is conformed by the members elected by the General Assembly and it is presided by the Administration Board. The members of the General Council can be re-elected by the General Assembly and they also are responsible of naming the administration board. There will be half-yearly meetings to review the obtained results, to approve the criteria for the elaboration of the annual operative plan according to what was established in the five year plan. Administration Board The Administration Board of the group is responsible of the strategic five year and annual operative plan, as well as the planning once it is approved by the General Assembly and by the General Council, respectively. On to the Board falls responsibility for the Group’s overall representation and the internal and external links. The Board is responsible for giving development follow-up to all the cooperatives. And for developing the steps necessary to do this. The meetings are quarterly. It is conformed by the members elected by the General Council. The president of the Administration Board has five years of leadership with the opportunity of being re-elected only once.

Organizational Structure Consulting Council This council incorporates individuals that are distinguished by their experience and professional abilities, whom provide the necessary guidance that allows the Group to achieve its objectives and goals. The Consulting Councils members are invited and approved by the Administration Board. Sectoral divisions There are five representative teams of the cooperative companies of the different activities or areas: Industrial-agro industrial production, commercial, financial, educative and group services. They are directly responsible for the evaluation of the businesses management and report it to the Administration Board. They optimize the performance of the cooperative companies and collaborate in its operation according to the business plan approved by the Assembly and the Administration Board of each cooperative company

19. VII. Organizational Structure Group Services It consists in two teams: Business Development and Administration and Finances. They act in a cross-sectional way supporting and following all the cooperative companies in their respective specialties. They report their decisions to the sectoral division teams and to the Administration Board. The people in charge are elected by the Administration Board. Territorial division Constituted by the cooperative companies territorially grouped in projects of regional and state development. Its function is to measure the impact and the implications of the presence of the group in the region, as well as to propose the relationship and cultural policies, strategies and actions to achieve a positive impact in the local development according to the group’s objectives and principles. The people in charge are elected by each region and ratified in the Administration Board.
