Northern Coalfield Limited is a subsidiary of Coal India established in 1984. It has several mining projects and produces coal. The author trained at the Jhingurdah project in the electrical and mechanical department, which includes the main 33/11kV substation. In the main substation, 05 MVA transformers step down the voltage from 33kV to 11kV to supply various areas. Transformers have components like a core, windings, oil tank, and monitor devices. They are classified based on output voltage, construction, phases, cooling, and capacity. Current and potential transformers are used in the substation to step voltages down for metering. Transformer oil is filtered to remove impurities.

5. MAIN SUBSTATION
The supply (33/11KV) is from MPEB substation.
In this substation 05 MVA transformer are used to step
