This document summarizes a structural analysis of a rotationally molded water tank. The analysis considers different materials for the tank, including LLDPE, LDPE, and HDPE in various combinations for the inner and outer layers. A 3D model of a 5000L, 2-layer water tank was created and analyzed using FEA software. Various material combinations were simulated and results for deformation, stress, and strain energy were recorded. The combination of LDPE for the outer layer and HDPE for the inner layer produced the lowest stress values, making it the most optimum structural configuration.
