Freud s Stages Of Development
1.From birth to a year and six months, Freud theorized that children go through an oral stage.
During this stage, children s pleasure focuses primarily on the mouth with chewing and biting as
the main sources of stimulation. Too much or too little satisfaction at this stage may cause the
children to smoke or eat often as an adult. Next, children go through the anal stagefrom age one
year and six months until age three. During this stage, pleasure stems mainly from bathroom
activities as children deal with their want for power. In adulthood, anal fixation may cause anal
retention or an extreme need for cleanliness. At three to six years, children experience the phallic
period. The phallic period focuses on pleasure stimulation from the genitals.... Show more content

A parent could apply unconditional positive regard in interacting with a child by completely and
ultimately supporting and comforting them no matter who they have become or what they believe.
A parent could apply conditional positive regard in interacting with a child by disapproving of who
they have become or what they believe. This may be exemplified best by homosexuality. When a
child discusses their homosexuality with their parents, two reactions can occur in the form of
conditional and unconditional positive regard. Unconditional positive regard would lead the
parents to support and love their child all the same, while conditional positive regard may result in
the parents completely and utterly losing their mind and disconnecting themselves from their

Sight Vs Hearing
The condition of not having the power of hearing or having impaired hearing. Hearing loss. A
deaf person has little to no hearing. Hearing loss may occur in one or both ears. Hearing loss can
be categorized as mild, moderate, moderate severe, severe, or profound. Without a newborn hearing
test, the average age at which congenital deafnessis diagnosed is 2 years. Children whose deafness
is treated in the first months of life gain critical time and get far better on development tests than
those whose diagnosed is delayed. People can go deaf suddenly as a complication of a virus, lose
their hearing over time because of disease, nerve damage, or injury caused by noise. About 3 out

valued between $50.92 and $55.68, whereas the current share price is $42.09 (an undervaluing

What Is Jan Eisenhardt s Contribution To Canada
Amidst the chaos and disparity of the great depression, there was one man who brought hope
and happiness to British Columbia in the form of recreation. Jan Eisenhardt, also known as Ian
Eisenhardt, has been touted as a national hero and treasure (as cited in Markham Starr Delamere,
2005, para. 2) for his contributions to recreation in Canada and abroad. He was born in 1906 in
Denmark and relocated to Vancouver, Canada in 1928. Eisenhardt began his career in recreation
as a playground attendant in and was later promoted to Supervisor of Playgrounds for Vancouver
(Dunae, 1992) He was known to be an avid advocate of physical activity and wellness as a means
for personal and social freedom and wellbeing (Macdonald, 2013). During The Great Depression of
the 1930 s, Eisenhardt, with the help of BC Minister of Education George Weir, spearheaded a
revolutionary recreational movement dubbed The Provincial Recreation Program or the Pro Rec
movement . At time when Vancouver was plagued with unemployment, homelessness, and despair,
the pro rec movement was intended to bring relief and purpose to unemployed men (Schrodt, 1983).

learning. Later I will demonstrate my personal use of ICT and a record of use of Information and
Communications Technology (ICT) over a period of one month as a professional role in promoting
children s development in my setting. Finally, I will reflect on my tracking sheet and identify the
opportunity to develop ICT in communication with parents. According to Siraj Blatchford,

It is available with across curriculum mats to enhance children learning in all area of their
development, therefore in my work place we adapt the mats that we already have in our setting
and I still feel that we did not use its full potential. So far we used Bee Bot with Alphabet mat,
and alphabet flash cards to extend children letter sound recognition and oral language
development for children with English as an Additional Language (EAL) to support their
listening and recalling skills. Number and shape mat is used to expand children mathematical
skills such as counting, number recognition, positional language, shape recognition. Road mat is
used to develop children orientation as they need to manipulate, orientate, track and rotate the
Bee Bot as well as road safety skills. Using a Bee Bot also introduce the children to a range of
science skills as they interpret design challenges, generate possible solutions, make plans, test
and evaluate and modifying the program were necessary (Sprainger, 2007). I founded as well as
a number of teachers around the world (see teachers reviews in Appendix C) that Bee Bot are
good value for money (manufacture instruction enclose in Appendix B) and the only
disadvantage I can find is that after each activity program needs to be cleared in order to

Many cities across the United states have started the One City , One Book project, like Chicago
and even Denver. Fort Morgan as a community deserves to also get to try out these new activities
that would benefit our community greatly in many aspects. The community of Fort Morgan would
benefit from the One City/One Book project because of the diversity in Fort Morgan, it will keep
people involved and encouraged to try something new, and it may open up people s mind. We
should have a one book one city project centered around Enriquez Journey as our first book

Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants Analysis
Sisterhood of the traveling pants Lifelong friendship can teach you to forgive and to learn how
to deal with your own problems. However sometimes they are not going to be beside you at all
times. If they go somewhere on vacation, you might run into a bad problem and you don t have
any experience with solving them on your own. That gives you a good reason to solve the problem
without them solving it with you or for you. In the sister hood of the traveling pants each girl runs
into a problem and they don t have each other to help them with their problems. Throughout the
story, the girls meet new people and start out frustrated with them, thus they start getting to know
them more and they learn an important lesson from them. In example, Carmen needs to learn how

Scrubs In My Old Lady
The early 2000s was a prime time for hospital centered television shows were aired. House and
Grey s Anatomy were among the most popular, but Scrubs stood among the best of the genre.
While the other shows were drama focused, Scrubs took a more lighthearted approach to working at
a hospital, though the show often takes on dark thematics from time to time. Scrubsis the best
hospital televisionshow to have been aired because of the scenes that reflected the reality of
hospitals, the soundtrack, and the genius improve the cast used to liven up scenes. In the fourth
episode of the series, My Old Lady , the main character, JD, is told by his patient who is an old
woman, that she is ready to die. In that moment, it shook me that while it is a doctor s duty to
save a patient, the patient wants to be let go sometimes. JD spends the rest of the episode working
off the clock to change her mind, but she she doesn t change her mind. Knowing that doctors really

The motions and emotions of the cast feel more realistic due to the fact that there are no pauses
for imaginary laughter and allows music to have more emphasis on the tone of the current
scene. When the old woman died, a cover of Hallelujah started to play, which is already a
somber song about love. This show also introduced viewers to new artists. A band that makes a
recurring appearance is, The Blanks. This band does acapella, acoustic, or unplugged covers of
songs that I like, most noteworthy was and acoustic cover of, Hey Ya, by Outkast, along with
original content. A creative way for the incorporation of this band was that they made cameos as a
group of hospital staff that have an acapella band doing covers of slogans or cartoon theme songs.
It is charming whenever they appear, showing off their talents in ways a viewer would not

The Riverton Community Pool Is Located Just Off Of Forest Ave
The Riverton Community Pool is located just off of Forest Ave in Portland, and is attached to the
Riverton Community Center, including a library and gymnasium, and Riverton Elementary. The
facility features a large parking lot with plenty of spaces for both employees and patrons. After
entering the building, the location of the poolis not extremely clear; there are no signs directing
patrons to the pool area. The production space is well lit by lights that are around the pool (but
not above), and does not smell of overwhelming chlorine. The pool is 25 meters long with six
lanes. The pool also has a shallow and deep end, with the shallowest point being four feet deep, and
the deepest point being 13 ВЅ feet deep. The floor surrounding the pool is made of tile to prevent
patrons from slipping and falling when the floor is wet. The walls surrounding the building are
made of cinderblocks that were painted white. These types of walls tend to echo, so the ceiling
and upper walls are lined with sound panels to reduce the extra noise. The temperature of the
water falls anywhere between 80 and 83 degrees fahrenheit so patrons do not overheat when
swimming. The air is also kept around 83 degrees to help keep patrons warm when they exit the
water. Unfortunately, a master plan was unable to be located online or at the facility. Master plan

Dahl Vs Matilda
Being able to depict details from a non fictional novel and a fictional novel and tie in
comparisons is not always an easy task. Boy: Tales of Childhood is an autobiographical novel
written by Roald Dahl and Matilda is a fictional novel written by Dahl. Both books have similar
aspects such as family life, schoollife, and living conditions. Dahl makes his experiences come to
life when writing his fictional novels, making them enjoyable to the reader.
Growing up, most children do not have to worry about so many tragedies at such a young age. In
Boy: Tales of Childhood Roald Dahl tells about the gruesome events in his early years. When he
was only three years old his sister Astri passed away because of health complications. Shortly later,

Although, In Matilda none of her family members passed away, it is possible that Dahl is trying
to show that he would rather be neglected by his family than have little to no family at all. In
addition, Matilda found someone to look up to and enjoy her childhood with. Perhaps, Dahl
wishes he had that kind of connection with someone as a child. No one taught Dahl right from
wrong, which was why he was naughty at times. Stated in Boy:Tales of Childhood, She had five
children to look after, three of her own and two by her husband s first wife, and to make matters
worse, she herself was expecting another baby in two months time. (2.16) This quote explains
how crowded Dahl s home was growing up. With his mother having so many children to look
after, it was hard for her to raise each child and more importantly build a strong bond with each
of them. On the other hand, Matilda only has one brother, Michael. However, her parents do not
give her the time of day and continuously favor Mike because he takes after his parents and is
greatly similar to them in regards to his intelligence and behavior. His parents understand him and
not Matilda. The whole family represents the complete opposite of Matilda. When she tries to
connect with her family or show them something she is interested in they just push her away. For
instance, when her father says, I don t want to know what it s about...I m fed up with your reading
anyway. Go find yourself something useful to do. (4.10) Matilda is very lonely and has no one in
her household to interact with. Her family is not interested in what she delights in therefore they
disregard her. Roald Dahl and Matilda both did not build a strong relationship with their

Essay about Celiac Disease
Celiac disease (CD) is marked by an inability to absorb gluten. Gluten, also known as glutenin, is a
protein found in wheat, rye, barley, spelt, and triticale (Turner and Torkos). The problem with the
disease is that it is an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system responds to gluten by
damaging the small intestine (Turner and Torkos). This damage to the small intestine is
characterized by villous atrophy in people who are genetically susceptible (Parnell and Ciclitira).
The disorder may latent for years and then suddenly cause horrendous symptoms that may be
misdiagnosed as irritable bowel syndrome. There is danger in a misdiagnosis because many high
fiber foods used to help control irritable bowel syndrome are gluten... Show more content on

At her advanced age, Florence s doctor decided to inject plastic into the bones to provide stable
strength and to ensure that future breaks would not occur. Weeks later, she had a scope done,
checking the small intestine for damage to the mucosa and microvilli. The ending result was a
diagnosis of celiac and a decision that she must be put on a gluten free diet for the rest of her natural
life (Florence). With celiac disease, many negative outcomes are possible and many more are
probable. Further research into celiac disease substantiates the belief that further research, public
awareness, and knowledge are imperative in discovering how to deal with the disease and how to
spread awareness of this very serious problem. The small intestine is lined with microvilli (sing.
microvillus) and mucosa that entrap and absorb the vital nutrients the body needs to sustain healthy
function. With celiac patients, consuming gluten containing foods causes the breakdown of these
microvilli and the mucosa, causing malnutrition through the inability to absorb the necessary
vitamins and minerals. As celiac is an autoimmune disorder, it stands to reason that the antibodies
are attacking the small intestine and are therefore able to be detected in the blood. This reasoning
has been discovered to be true and has become an

An Analysis of Conflict in the Novel the Son of Neptune
Do conflicts develop our characters and help us attain our goals? Following the theme of conflict in
the novel the Son of Neptune, Rick Riordan uses conflict to make the piece of writing more
interesting. Riordan incorporates different types of conflict in the novel to show how the heroes
must co operate with each other to complete their quest.
The conflict between the hero and his family shows a subsequent reaction further in the novel.
The author is showing the hero struggling with his family which helps to form a closer bond with
his friends. Riordan shows the hero separating himself from his father, Mars, the god of war,
whom the hero despises, by working closer with his friends on the quest that is given to them (Son
of Neptune, 151). When this meeting occurs, the hero is confronted by old memories which
handicap him during the quest and needs the help of his friends to aid him on his quest. As well as
mentally in conflict with his family, the hero displays common exhibits of grief for his family which
is an opening to express hurt or anger from experience elsewhere (Varieties of Family Conflict in
Adolescence). The author shows the hero using the death of his mother and his new found father to
inflict pain on other family members. With this much trouble in his family, Riordan shows how the
hero depends on his friends to help him throughout the story.
As well as being in conflict with his family, the hero is battling the thought of dying every single
day.

Thesis On Rocket Nozzle
Chapter 1: Introduction 1.1)Thesis Structure This dissertation aims to provide an optimized shape
for rocket nozzle to minimize the variations in flow parameters like temperature, pressure, density
and Mach number. The total thrust produced by the rocket nozzle depends upon these parameters
and in order to obtain maximum thrust, it is necessary to make sure that the gas, expanding through
the nozzle, exits with maximum uniformity with minimum abrupt variations in temperature,
pressure, density and Mach number. The first part of this dissertation presents a method to design a
two dimensional contour of a rocket nozzle known as method of characteristics. Method of
characteristics is mainly a technique for solving partial differential equations. Typically, it is used
to solve first order partial differential equations, but in this thesis it is used to solve the velocity
potential equation which is a partial differential equation of hyperbolic nature.... Show more content

Some of the previous research in this field will be reviewed. Y. Perrot et al [1] showed in their
numerical investigation of turbulent boundary layer separation in over expanded supersonic nozzle
that very different shock structures and flow separation may appear depending on the contour of
the nozzle. Such flow separation creates abrupt variations in pressure along the length of the nozzle.
Furthermore, Onofri et al [2] showed that the shape of the nozzle has significant effect of the shock
structure specifically in case of separated flows. William et al [3], in their investigation of the cap
shock pattern in a rocket nozzle, pointed out that significant reduction in thrust performance of
launch vehicle results due to imperfect exhaust profile. They also mentioned in their investigation,
that the contour of the nozzle directly influences the shock structure and subsequent plume

Accomplish Victory
What is a recession? A recession is declared once the GDP is negative for two consecutive
quarters or more, a few quarters before is actually the start of an economic downturn. GDP is
defined as gross domestic product and that basically means the total value of goods the United
States has produced, for the year. The first few signs of a recessionare negative growth followed by
a miniature positive growth. Because American citizens don t have the money to spend they don t
spend and the consumer spending aspect of the economy takes a drastic downfall. Unemployment
rates also have play in determining a recession (22). Proper money management and finances could

Then depending on the person they could take years to pay off that one bill out of the other 20
that they have. So what I am saying here is that if many people do this then, the economy will
inflate, causing the value of money to go down prices to go up and so on and so forth.
One of the hardest and most difficult economic recessions in history was accomplished using
Keynesian economics by John Fredrick Kennedy. Keynesian economics is a theory of total
spending in the economy (called aggregate demand) and its effects on output and inflation.
Although the term has been used (and abused) to describe many things over the years there is six
principal systems or beliefs that are what a Keynesian believes. (20) A Keynesian believes that
total demand is inclined by a swarm of financial decisions public and private. The public decisions
include, financial and economic policies. Nearly all Keynesians and monetarists believe that both
financial and economic policies affect total demand. Secondly changes in total demand have their
affect on output and on employment not on prices. Keynesians believe that it must get worse for it
to get better. Also they believe that we live in the short run of things not in the long run. Keynes s
famous statement, In the long run, we are all dead. Thirdly Keynesians believe that prices, and more

The Saga of the Tigua Indians Essay
The Saga of the Tigua Indians The Saga of the Tigua Indians is an amazing one. By all reasoning
they should have been wiped out long ago. There quiet defiance to change, however, has carried
them through. From the height of civilization to near extinction the Tigua have remained. They

is the story of a people thought to extinct, that are once again learning to survive.

With such a large presence of Spanish soldiers it would have been foolish for the Indians of
Isleta to resist them. After failed attempts to recapture lands lost to the north, Governor Otermin

The Education Framework Of Nigeria
Presentation
Education is said to be act or procedure of bestowing or securing general learning, building up the
forces of thinking and judgment, and by and large of setting oneself up or others mentally for
experienced life. The Ministry of Education is responsible for education in Nigeria. The education
framework in Nigeria is separated into Kindergarten, essential training, auxiliary training and
tertiary training.
Foundation Problem
The present example of Nigeria Education framework, especially the Tertiary Institutions has been
an issue of sensitivity toward the administration, accomplices, educationists, managers (home and
abroad), graduates and diverse establishments. This paper took a gander at the present pattern of
tertiary education as far as educational modules, instructors, students, funding, facilities, industrial
collaborations and additionally showing techniques with the point of view of proposing the way

How Do Proteins Help Body Repair Cells
Living organisms need proteins in their diet to help the body repair cells and make new ones. The
basic structure of protein is a chain of amino acids. When two amino acids join together a dipeptide
is formed but when more than two amino acids are joined together a polypeptide is formed.
Proteins are made up of one or more polypeptides. Proteins are large molecules made up of the
elements hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and carbon. Types of proteins include, structural proteins,
contractile proteins, hormones, enzymes, antibodies and transport proteins. Some functions of
proteins are movement in muscles, tendons and ligaments. Enzymes make biological reactions
possible and hormones regulate metabolism. The proteinshape determines its function.Proteins...

Hydrogen bonds forms between the chains and this gives the structure strength. The collagen
account for around a quarter of all proteins in the body. The function of collagen is to give
mechanical strength. In the walls of arteries, a layer of collagen prevents blood that is being
pumped from the heart at high pressure from bursting the walls. Tendons connect skeletal muscles
to the bones. Tendons are mostly collagen and form a strong connection that allows muscles to
pull bones for movement. Collagen is also responsible for the elasticity of the skin, which is why
the skin becomes wrinkled when it lacks collagen . It also makes the skin waterproof. The functions
of collagen in the connective tissue include nutrient transport and inflammation. Hormones are also
a type of proteins and functions as chemical signaling molecules . These proteins are secreted by
endocrine cells that act to control or regulate specific physiological processes which include growth

Buddhism And The Noble Eightfold Path
Siddhartha Gautama was the founder of Buddhism (Van Voorst, R, 2013). Gautama lived a life of
a prince until he witnessed physical suffering in the world. Upon observing the suffering, Gautama
decided to give up everything to become a holy man. He created the Middle Path meaning the
moment between self denial and regular life. He discovered the Four Noble Truths and the Noble
Eightfold Path, (Van Voorst, R, 2013).
The basic characteristics of Buddhism are meditating, prayer, rest, exercise, lecture and small group
discussion with other Buddhists in Zen centers and temples around the world. Buddhists believe
that Siddhartha Gautama discovered the Middle Path out of suffering, reaching the full
enlightenment that rescued him from constant reincarnation into this world (Voorst, R., 2013) .
They also believe in karma and rebirth until they reach the point of enlightenment. Enlightenment is
reached once they have strived and reached for nirvana. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

BP s Commitment to the Recovery of Natural Resources
The projects are part of BP s commitment to provide up to $1 billion in early restoration funding to
expedite recovery of natural resources injured as a result of the Deepwater Horizon accident. The
early restoration framework agreement signed in 2011 requires BP and the trustees to agree upon
the potential projects, funding and the natural resources benefits the projects are expected to
provide. The trustees then implement the projects.
The agreement makes it possible for restoration to begin at an earlier stage of the natural resource
damage (NRD) process than usual. NRD restoration projects are typically funded only after the
NRD assessment is complete and a final settlement has been reached or a final court judgment has
been entered. This process often takes many years, and restoration is often delayed during that
time. The early restoration framework agreement allows the parties to expedite projects to restore,
replace or acquire the equivalent of injured natural resources in the Gulf soon after an injury is
identified, reducing the time needed to achieve restoration of those resources. Projects under way
Ten projects were approved in two separate phases.

those habitats, as well as provide additional access for fishing, boating and related recreational

Planning, Scheduling, Budgeting and Risk Management for the Desire2Learn (D2L) Learning
Management System
Overview
Translating the many project requirements, risks and costs into a single cohesive platform to
manage the implementation of the Desire2Learn (D2L) learning management system is the intent
of this analysis. One of the most critical success factors of any project plan is the balancing of risk,
costs and time constraints to ensure the overarching project is completed on or before schedule
(Cleland, 1985). The action definition and plan design components of the D2L Learning
Management Systems are defined and discussed in this project plan analysis with specific focus on
timing and resource allocations. In addition, this analysis has been created to serve as the
framework to guide the implementation of the D2L Learning Management System over the
duration of the project. Resources for this plan s completion include the Chief Information Officer
(CIO) for the district, Information Systems and Information Technology (IT) department staff
members, the superintendent, the vendor professional services team and the vendor training and
implementation staffs. All of these teams and individuals need to be orchestrated towards a
common objective and timeline in order for the project plan to succeed. Creating and maintaining a
collaborative platform is essential for the attainment of project plan deadlines and milestones,

Reflection Paper On My Writing Process
Reflective Memo
Description of my Writing Process
In my writing process, pre writing was my initial step where I had to find the narrative to write. I
had numerous stories in my mind, but I had to get the best, which draws inspiration to me, and the
one that could teach valuable lessons to my audience. So, I had to refer from that childhood
memory regarding the most significant narrative. However, I had to build up on the story.
Therefore, I had to use the myth worksheet issued at class, to make sure that my story meets all the
course requirements. Apparently, I had to make some changes (revise) the narrative, to deliver the
most intended life lesson to my audience. That is when I decided to plan and structure on what to
write down in particular.
The actual writing was my second step, where I had to start writing my draft. However, I had
several challenges at this phase, such as word count, grammar issues, among others. Apparently, I
had to write several rough copies of my narrative. Again, I had to get the best time and location to
eliminate any potential distractions. In fact, at this stage, I had no confidence with my narrative on
whether it will convey a relevant meaning to my audience.
But now the writing process was advancing well, and I started revising my paper. When revising
my narrative, I had to adapt A.R.R.R.R approach where, I had to add some words, rearrange my
paragraphs and sentences to consider flow, pacing, and sequencing of my story. Again, I had to
remove the irrelevant parts, considering whether the reader will acquire the required message.
Finally, replacing them with the relevant words and phrases.
My final step was editing and proofreading. At this phase, I had to check for clarity, grammar,
repetition, punctuation, and spelling. Editing and proofreading were detailed processes since they
were the last step in my writing process. At this moment, I had gained confidence in my paper,
since I had read it several times, affirming that it made some sense. Furthermore, I gave it to my
friend who is a professional to proofread, and he assured me that the paper was sensible.
Revising the Narrative
Apparently, I had to review my story to convey the message swiftly. In the initial story,

Second Language Acquisition on Children
Second Language Acquisition and Age Impact on its Acquisition
Ika Ulil M
20111111042
Abstract
Children acquire language since they were born. They communicate with their parents.
Furthermore, children and parents interact with each other using a language that we often call the
first language or mother tongue. At an early age, children are only learning one language that is the
mother tongue. By age and speech development, children improve to acquire a second language
from the school or the environment around them. In terms of speed of langgauge acquisition,
children are factorized by both the child and the child s learning environment. Therefore, it is
important to understand how children acquire second language. This paper is provided ... Show

When discussing about In other words , Bialystok and Hakuta state that there is some thought that
children who may appear to be learning a second languge very quickly at a vey young age (before
the age of 5). They further state that accompanied by the loss of their first language, have really
replaced the first language with the second language. 3. Models for Second Language Acquisition
Some linguistic models try to explain the development of second language acquisition. The three
most common models are (1) the Universal Grammar Model, (2) the Competition Model, and (3)
the Monitor Model. The Universal Grammar Model refers to the system of principles, conditions,
and rules that are properties or elements of all human languages. At the same time, each language
has grammatical rules that vary from one language to another. Thus, Chomky states that different
languages have a limited possibility of different grammatical structures (1975). Therefore, second
language learners base their second language acquisition on universal principles common to all
languages, and on the force of the particular rules of each language. All of those can be concluded
that as a human, especially as children, we have vary form of rules in language, in this case is
second language. The Competition Model is based in the assumption that forms of natural language
are created to communicate. Thus, second language learners are faced with the conflict between

The Main Reasons For Government And Privatize Their Airports
Week 1: Identify and discuss the main reasons for a government to privatize their airports.
In basic terms Privatisation is essentially the shift of assets from the public or government owned
sector to the private sector, an important point to note is that privatisation doesn t always refer to
ownership, but can also refer only to the management of an organisation.
The advantages of privatisation include greater efficiency and fewer limitations involved in
government spending allowances. Up until the 1990 s privatisation of airports was mainly within
the general aviation, municipal type airfields. Airports were gradually considered as commercial
enterprises , and as such commercialisation began to take place.
Supporters of privatisation argue that it will reduce the need for public investment and give
greater access to commercial markets. By doing this they are limiting government control, which
may be a benefit in itself as there will be more space for diversification. With a wide share of
ownership there can be far greater input from a range of sources. In a sense the government will
still benefit from privatisation, as even though they may have less control overall, they will still
benefit from the global market and from government associated taxes and levies not just on the
airports movements but also taxing of the airport company itself. Conversely on the side of doubt,
there is concern that privatisation may create a monopoly that could potentially be over

Now the ashcan school was more of a painting revolution. It focused a lot on New York citys

The ashcan school took the innovations in brushes and paints to show realism. Now the last
subject I d like to talk about is how art reflects the society we live in. I believe that all forms of
art are a reflection of what s going on in society at that time like the ashcan school like I

economic struggles in many big cities at the time. So, as you can tell this time in American history

Advantages:

First Political Cartoon Of Hillary Clinton
The next political cartoon that I observed has many similarities to the first one. It portrays
Hillary Clinton lying down in a bed, covered by a blanket that states, Seal of The President of
The United States. Above her is a description that states, 3 AM Phone Call, 2017. She is talking

Both Political Cartoons portray Hillary as being dishonest and trying to escape to blame for her
criminal like actions. Yet, even though both may be similar, there are certain aspects that divide
the two and give them an individuality apart from their original message. To elaborate further on
this, the second image uses ethos to the degree in which Hillary is making unethical decisions in
office, in order to keep herself in office. It s similar to the first political cartoon, running on a
theme of criminal like behavior, but differs from the first one because in the second cartoon, she
has a certain amount of power in order to carry through with it. The political cartoons are also
similar in the way that the conversations that take place over the phone, are held in some sort of a
secret matter. However the second one differs from the first when it comes down to the subject
criteria that is being discussed. The conversation in the first one is a series of questions, while
the second one is on a more demanding basis. The tones in both images take a similar stance,
setting up a very mysterious scene in both political cartoons. Hillary s face in the cartoons has a
very distinctive appearance about it, giving the viewer the perception that she is up to no good.
The only noticeable differences are the style she is wearing, as well as the style of cartooning,
however the overall message is that she has the look that she knows what she did was wrong and
it applies a very mysterious tone to what is taking place within the cartoons scene. Finally, the last
given similarity touches along the lines of both pathos and logos. Each cartoon applies different
small items to the scene, in order to breach the reader s emotional appeal through the use of a
message. For example, in the first image, Hillary has a computer server next to her with all

Now that an analysis has been constructed to compare the media regulating agents, a second

prominent literary voices in history was William Shakespeare. He wrote and produced plays
many famous tragedies during the early 1600 s such as Twelfth Night, Measure for Measure,
Othello, Hamlet, Macbeth, and King Lear which many believe it was one of his best. Miguel de
Cervantes became a legendary author when he penned the novel, Don Quixote de la Mancha.
This lengthy and popular story is considered a valuable work not only to literature buffs, but also
to those interested in understanding what life was like in Spain during the reign of Kings Phillip
II and III (Taylor 101). On the other side of the world in Japan, Kabuki emerged as a genre of...

There is little to argue about when suggesting that the Baroque period of art and architecture during
the 1600 s was characterized by a positive, vigorous, and passionate style (Gerdes 253),
enveloped in lavish splendor, glorifying the imagery of highborn aristocrats, religion, and
homoeroticism. The theatrical, grandiose, and ornate style was heavily influenced by
Christianity, life, love, symbolism, allegory, and morbidity. The artist Michelangel Merisi da
Caravaggio a leading artist during this period used a combination of religious scenes in
everyday locales filled with rough looking common people (Kleiner 549) along with the
intensity of the dramatic Baroque passion for richness in color and texture. One of Caravaggio s
most famous pieces of art was the Entombment of Christ, and David with the Head of Goliath, for
which he painted his own head as the victim, with blood drips from his freshly severed neck,
sparing nobody the gory facts of decapitation (Harris 49). The disturbed genius was also interested
in the fresco painting of the Renaissance and this is perhaps what enticed Caravaggio to paint the
Creation of Adam on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. The history of the Baroque period cannot be
discussed further without mentioning the Dutch artist Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn, whose
Baroque paintings rose to universal significance and appeal (Gerdes 264). His style created
gorgeous movement and fluidity characterized by

Home Insurance Essay
Make sure you pay attention to how you use your homeowner s insurance policy throughout the
year; you may be able to get a break on your taxes. Here are the top three ways that most people
benefit tax wise from having homeowner s insurance:
Home Office Deduction
If you work from home and have a dedicated space in your home that you use only for the purpose
of work, you may be able deduct part of your homeowner s insurance policy.
If you take a itemized deduction for your home office instead of a standard deduction, you can
write off a portion of your homeowner s insurance policy. All you have to do is figure out total
square footage that you use for your home business and divide that by the total square footage of
your home. That number is the percentage of your home that you use for business. You can then
deduct as part of your expenses that percentage of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If your paid $1,000 a year in homeowner s insurance costs, you would be able to deduct $200 of
those costs as an expense for your home office.
Deductible Tax Deduction
Another way your homeowner s insurance policy could help you out with your taxes is if you
had any belongings that were stolen or damaged this year. If your insurance policy only covered a
portion of their reimbursement, as generally happens when you have an actual cash value
replacement policy, you can write off the deductible you had to pay as well as the remaining value
of your belongings.
Casualty Loss Deduction
Finally, if your house or any of your belongings were damaged due to a natural disaster, accident
or even a robbery, you can file a casualty loss tax deduction. Once again, this deduction comes into
play when your insurance company does not fully reimburse you for these loses. You are able to
deduct the money that had to come out of your own pocket to make up for these

reasons are the way the father treats her, the way she feels obligated to stay, the unknown things

Questions, discussions, and opinions are on a rise to whether a new casino should be built in
Buffalo, New York. If we ask what benefits, or what economic development will this casino bring
to the community there would not be enough answers as to compare to the negative effects it will
actually bring. This essay will discuss the economic impacts, social and opportunity costs brought
by casinos from economist researchers who have showed significant points to why casino worsen
the economy and making it harder for local businesses and employment opportunity. To answer the
question, What is economic development? Dr. Grinols professor of economics at Baylor University
and author of Gambling in America: cost and benefits, 2004 said, When individuals undertake
productive activity, they engage in the creation of goods and service that provide greater welfare
or satisfaction than the inputs used. (Grinols 2004). Economic development is the creation of
greater value by society from its available resources which means greater income and wealth,
which lead to greater utility for members of society (Grinols 2004). Dr. Grinols

Lao-Tzu s Thoughts From The Tao-Te Ching
In the poem by Lao Tzu, Thoughts from the Tao te Ching, Lao Tzu describes what Tao means
and how it will make people s life better. Lao Tzu prefers less government to be involved with
people. He believes that this will have a good effect on how people will behave. He also says
that when the leader follows the Tao, everything else will go with the flow. A leader should trust
people to govern themselves by giving them individual freedom with limits, because a limited
freedom does not mean that people will not attain peace and happiness they have always wanted.
A leader should not intervene in people s lives, but he could assist people only when it is needed.
In the poem, Lao Tzu illustrates what a leader should be doing: The Master leads... Show more

People are still free to do whatever they want. They can also choose what they want to be.
Limited freedom will only prevent people from doing bad deeds, which will help them
accomplish peace. In the poem, Lao Tzu shows how important peace is to people: Peace is his
highest value. If peace has been shattered, how can he be content? (verse 31). Like Lao Tzu says,
people use weapons as a tool of fear and when their peace is being threatened, they will use it. In
addition, Lao Tzu states what will happen if the leader follows the Tao: If the country is
governed wisely, its inhabitants will be contented...Since they dearly love their homes, they aren
t interested in travel. There may be a few wagons and boats, but this doesn t go anywhere. There
may be an arsenal weapons but nobody uses them... (verse 80). When people and the leader
follow the Tao, people will be contented with their home country to the point that they would not
try to go to another place. With the peace they have gained, they will not try to leave their home.
Moreover, following Tao is a wonderful way for people to live, but the way freedom is described
in the Tao should be altered. Freedom without limits will only make the situation worse than it is
now. It is just the same as Lao Tzu says in the poem that the world can never be

Chemical Reaction Of Mentos
The scope of this paper is to explain the reaction that takes place when Mentos are dropped into
Diet Coke. This experiment is used frequently because of what happens when the candy meets the
soda. A geyser is formed that shoots out of the bottle that resembles a volcanic eruption. Due to the
similarity, it is also used for volcanoprojects. Depending on the alterations to the Mentos and/or
Diet Coke, the geyser can either go much higher or much lower than normal.
This reaction has produced much confusion among people about whether it is a physical or
chemical reaction. It is a physical reaction because the substances remained the same, the reaction
did not form a new substance. (Coffey) What creates the physical reaction is water molecules that
go into the pores on the Mentos. The rough surface of Mentos allow this to happen. The water
molecules grow to create carbon dioxide bubbles on the outside of the candy. The Mentos gain
buoyancy, which means they rise to the surface of the soda. After this occurs, there is increased
bubble formation, resulting in the liquid turning to foam and shooting out of the bottle. Bubble
formation is also increased by the gum arabic and gelatin in the Mentos combining with the
potassium benzoate, sugar, and aspartame in the Diet Coke. (Hiskey, Mental Floss)
As stated above, there are alterations that speed the reaction. These include decreasing the surface
tension of the Diet Coke, performing an acid base reaction, and warming the Diet Coke.

Reliability Based Multi-Objective Optimization of RC Beams...
Over the last two decades Fiber Reinforced Polymers have emerged as an attractive competitor to
the more conventional civil engineering materials for the creation of new structures and the

as ACI committee provided practical design manuals for all aspects of application FRPs for
strengthening structural elements. The comparison between experimental and analytical code

not very promising. Specially for shear strengthening the use of additional principle in the actual

Since the Every Child Matters report and the Childcare Act 2006 every child between 3 and

entitlement is funded by the government; the reason for this is to ensure that children from
disadvantaged backgrounds have the same chance to advance, as children from advantaged
backgrounds. In the Early Years Foundation stage, the target is to learn from playing, not in a usual
schooling form. For example learning colour names from painting, learning number from playing
with classroom pets.
Each part of the UK delivers the early years education a different. In England, it has one standard
framework, and children are aged from three to five. In Wales it is called Early Years foundation

The Viewpoints of Three Muslim Women on Being Oppressed
When non Muslims in the United States think of Islam the first things that comes to many their
minds are September eleventh, terrorist, the middle east, and oppression of women. Most
Americans believe that Muslim women must be oppressed because they have to wear those veils
over their heads , completely cover themselves, and their husbands are allowed to have multiple
wives. A survey last year by the Council on American Islamic Relations found that more than half of
the 1,000 U.S. respondents believe that Islamencourages the oppression of women.( al Jadda, A
veil doesn t mean oppressed,1). But are Muslim women really oppressed or do they have a
choice? In this paper I will look at the viewpoint of three Muslim women. The first one is
Sumbul Ali Karamali the author of The Muslim Next Door . The second is Aisha Stacey who is
an Australian revert to Islam that works as a writer at the Fanar Cultural Islamic Centre in Doha,
Qatar. The third is Khalida Tanvir Syed who is the author of Through White Noise , but the
source I will be referring to is a paper she wrote called Misconception About Human Rights and
Women s Rights In Islam. I will also look at the viewpoint of Azam Kamguian, who is an Iranian
writer and women s rightsactivist and my final source.
In The Muslim Next Door Ali Karamali argues that when it comes to the status of women in Islam
what we Americans see is very different from Muslim women s reality. She says that the oppressed

So all the other major players have to keep the prices lower than iPhone, because iPhone has the
most market share and has a strong customer brand loyalty. * To summarize, entry into the
smartphone industry is not HIGH but to sustain and compete against the major giants is close to
impossible. 2.) Competitive Rivalry within the industry: High Consumer base: Each firm targets
a different set of audience but most of the time overlapping audience. For e.g Apple targets high
end customers, Nokia targets the common and the sophisticated customers, RIM targets the
enterprise. But the consumer base keeps changing with the change in the dynamics of the
industry. For e.g most of the enterprise clients are shifting to Apple because of the innovative
design of the products offered. Highly Competitive market: The rivalry in the industry is
because of the major players already competing b/w each other. The major firms being Apple,
Samsung, RIM, Nokia PALM and HTC. Although each firm has their own strengths and
weaknesses which might be related to design of product or marketing or cost of handsets.
Competitive Margins: Because of a large number of key players in the phone industry and the cut
throat competition. Every firm is forced to keep the profit margins per sale low and hence attract
more customers. Also the economic crisis during 2008 2009 has made the companies lower their
pricing and thus improve sales. 3.) Negotiating Power of Buyers:

Two of the most significant contributions from ancient Greece are science and

  • 2. Freud s Stages Of Development 1.From birth to a year and six months, Freud theorized that children go through an oral stage. During this stage, children s pleasure focuses primarily on the mouth with chewing and biting as the main sources of stimulation. Too much or too little satisfaction at this stage may cause the children to smoke or eat often as an adult. Next, children go through the anal stagefrom age one year and six months until age three. During this stage, pleasure stems mainly from bathroom activities as children deal with their want for power. In adulthood, anal fixation may cause anal retention or an extreme need for cleanliness. At three to six years, children experience the phallic period. The phallic period focuses on pleasure stimulation from the genitals.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A parent could apply unconditional positive regard in interacting with a child by completely and ultimately supporting and comforting them no matter who they have become or what they believe. A parent could apply conditional positive regard in interacting with a child by disapproving of who they have become or what they believe. This may be exemplified best by homosexuality. When a child discusses their homosexuality with their parents, two reactions can occur in the form of conditional and unconditional positive regard. Unconditional positive regard would lead the parents to support and love their child all the same, while conditional positive regard may result in the parents completely and utterly losing their mind and disconnecting themselves from their ... What Is Jan Eisenhardt s Contribution To Canada Amidst the chaos and disparity of the great depression, there was one man who brought hope and happiness to British Columbia in the form of recreation. Jan Eisenhardt, also known as Ian Eisenhardt, has been touted as a national hero and treasure (as cited in Markham Starr Delamere, 2005, para. 2) for his contributions to recreation in Canada and abroad. He was born in 1906 in Denmark and relocated to Vancouver, Canada in 1928. Eisenhardt began his career in recreation as a playground attendant in and was later promoted to Supervisor of Playgrounds for Vancouver (Dunae, 1992) He was known to be an avid advocate of physical activity and wellness as a means for personal and social freedom and wellbeing (Macdonald, 2013). The purpose of this essay is to research a technological toy, I focused on Bee Bots, which I use in my setting, evaluate and critically analyse the effectiveness of that toy in promoting children s learning. Later I will demonstrate my personal use of ICT and a record of use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) over a period of one month as a professional role in promoting children s development in my setting. Finally, I will reflect on my tracking sheet and identify the opportunity to develop ICT in communication with parents. It is available with across curriculum mats to enhance children learning in all area of their development, therefore in my work place we adapt the mats that we already have in our setting and I still feel that we did not use its full potential. So far we used Bee Bot with Alphabet mat, and alphabet flash cards to extend children letter sound recognition and oral language development for children with English as an Additional Language (EAL) to support their listening and recalling skills. Number and shape mat is used to expand children mathematical skills such as counting, number recognition, positional language, shape recognition. Road mat is used to develop children orientation as they need to manipulate, orientate, track and rotate the Bee Bot as well as road safety skills. Using a Bee Bot also introduce the children to a range of science skills as they interpret design challenges, generate possible solutions, make plans, test and evaluate and modifying the program were necessary (Sprainger, 2007). I founded as well as a number of teachers around the world (see teachers reviews in Appendix C) that Bee Bot are good value for money (manufacture instruction enclose in Appendix B) and the only disadvantage I can find is that after each activity program needs to be cleared in order to reprogrammed again. House and Grey s Anatomy were among the most popular, but Scrubs stood among the best of the genre. While the other shows were drama focused, Scrubs took a more lighthearted approach to working at a hospital, though the show often takes on dark thematics from time to time. Scrubsis the best hospital televisionshow to have been aired because of the scenes that reflected the reality of hospitals, the soundtrack, and the genius improve the cast used to liven up scenes. In the fourth episode of the series, My Old Lady , the main character, JD, is told by his patient who is an old woman, that she is ready to die. In that moment, it shook me that while it is a doctor s duty to save a patient, the patient wants to be let go sometimes. The Riverton Community Pool Is Located Just Off Of Forest Ave The Riverton Community Pool is located just off of Forest Ave in Portland, and is attached to the Riverton Community Center, including a library and gymnasium, and Riverton Elementary. The facility features a large parking lot with plenty of spaces for both employees and patrons. After entering the building, the location of the poolis not extremely clear; there are no signs directing patrons to the pool area. The production space is well lit by lights that are around the pool (but not above), and does not smell of overwhelming chlorine. The pool is 25 meters long with six lanes. The pool also has a shallow and deep end, with the shallowest point being four feet deep, and the deepest point being 13 ВЅ feet deep. The floor surrounding the pool is made of tile to prevent patrons from slipping and falling when the floor is wet. The walls surrounding the building are made of cinderblocks that were painted white. These types of walls tend to echo, so the ceiling and upper walls are lined with sound panels to reduce the extra noise. The temperature of the water falls anywhere between 80 and 83 degrees fahrenheit so patrons do not overheat when swimming. The air is also kept around 83 degrees to help keep patrons warm when they exit the water. Unfortunately, a master plan was unable to be located online or at the facility. Boy: Tales of Childhood is an autobiographical novel written by Roald Dahl and Matilda is a fictional novel written by Dahl. Both books have similar aspects such as family life, schoollife, and living conditions. Dahl makes his experiences come to life when writing his fictional novels, making them enjoyable to the reader. Growing up, most children do not have to worry about so many tragedies at such a young age. In Boy: Tales of Childhood Roald Dahl tells about the gruesome events in his early years. In addition, Matilda found someone to look up to and enjoy her childhood with. Perhaps, Dahl wishes he had that kind of connection with someone as a child. No one taught Dahl right from wrong, which was why he was naughty at times. Stated in Boy:Tales of Childhood, She had five children to look after, three of her own and two by her husband s first wife, and to make matters worse, she herself was expecting another baby in two months time. (2.16) This quote explains how crowded Dahl s home was growing up. With his mother having so many children to look after, it was hard for her to raise each child and more importantly build a strong bond with each of them. On the other hand, Matilda only has one brother, Michael. However, her parents do not give her the time of day and continuously favor Mike because he takes after his parents and is greatly similar to them in regards to his intelligence and behavior. His parents understand him and not Matilda. The whole family represents the complete opposite of Matilda. When she tries to connect with her family or show them something she is interested in they just push her away. For instance, when her father says, I don t want to know what it s about...I m fed up with your reading anyway. Go find yourself something useful to do. • 12. Essay about Celiac Disease Celiac disease (CD) is marked by an inability to absorb gluten. Gluten, also known as glutenin, is a protein found in wheat, rye, barley, spelt, and triticale (Turner and Torkos). The problem with the disease is that it is an autoimmune disorder in which the immune system responds to gluten by damaging the small intestine (Turner and Torkos). At her advanced age, Florence s doctor decided to inject plastic into the bones to provide stable strength and to ensure that future breaks would not occur. Weeks later, she had a scope done, checking the small intestine for damage to the mucosa and microvilli. The ending result was a diagnosis of celiac and a decision that she must be put on a gluten free diet for the rest of her natural life (Florence). With celiac disease, many negative outcomes are possible and many more are probable. Further research into celiac disease substantiates the belief that further research, public awareness, and knowledge are imperative in discovering how to deal with the disease and how to spread awareness of this very serious problem. The small intestine is lined with microvilli (sing. microvillus) and mucosa that entrap and absorb the vital nutrients the body needs to sustain healthy function. With celiac patients, consuming gluten containing foods causes the breakdown of these microvilli and the mucosa, causing malnutrition through the inability to absorb the necessary vitamins and minerals. As celiac is an autoimmune disorder, it stands to reason that the antibodies are attacking the small intestine and are therefore able to be detected in the blood. This reasoning has been discovered to be true and has become an ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 13. An Analysis of Conflict in the Novel the Son of Neptune Do conflicts develop our characters and help us attain our goals? Following the theme of conflict in the novel the Son of Neptune, Rick Riordan uses conflict to make the piece of writing more interesting. Riordan incorporates different types of conflict in the novel to show how the heroes must co operate with each other to complete their quest. The conflict between the hero and his family shows a subsequent reaction further in the novel. The author is showing the hero struggling with his family which helps to form a closer bond with his friends. Riordan shows the hero separating himself from his father, Mars, the god of war, whom the hero despises, by working closer with his friends on the quest that is given to them (Son of Neptune, 151). When this meeting occurs, the hero is confronted by old memories which handicap him during the quest and needs the help of his friends to aid him on his quest. As well as mentally in conflict with his family, the hero displays common exhibits of grief for his family which is an opening to express hurt or anger from experience elsewhere (Varieties of Family Conflict in Adolescence). The author shows the hero using the death of his mother and his new found father to inflict pain on other family members. With this much trouble in his family, Riordan shows how the hero depends on his friends to help him throughout the story. As well as being in conflict with his family, the hero is battling the thought of dying every single day. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 14. Thesis On Rocket Nozzle Chapter 1: Introduction 1.1)Thesis Structure This dissertation aims to provide an optimized shape for rocket nozzle to minimize the variations in flow parameters like temperature, pressure, density and Mach number. The total thrust produced by the rocket nozzle depends upon these parameters and in order to obtain maximum thrust, it is necessary to make sure that the gas, expanding through the nozzle, exits with maximum uniformity with minimum abrupt variations in temperature, pressure, density and Mach number. The first part of this dissertation presents a method to design a two dimensional contour of a rocket nozzle known as method of characteristics. Method of characteristics is mainly a technique for solving partial differential equations. Typically, it is used to solve first order partial differential equations, but in this thesis it is used to solve the velocity potential equation which is a partial differential equation of hyperbolic nature.... Perrot et al [1] showed in their numerical investigation of turbulent boundary layer separation in over expanded supersonic nozzle that very different shock structures and flow separation may appear depending on the contour of the nozzle. Such flow separation creates abrupt variations in pressure along the length of the nozzle. Furthermore, Onofri et al [2] showed that the shape of the nozzle has significant effect of the shock structure specifically in case of separated flows. William et al [3], in their investigation of the cap shock pattern in a rocket nozzle, pointed out that significant reduction in thrust performance of launch vehicle results due to imperfect exhaust profile. The first few signs of a recessionare negative growth followed by a miniature positive growth. One of the hardest and most difficult economic recessions in history was accomplished using Keynesian economics by John Fredrick Kennedy. Keynesian economics is a theory of total spending in the economy (called aggregate demand) and its effects on output and inflation. Although the term has been used (and abused) to describe many things over the years there is six principal systems or beliefs that are what a Keynesian believes. (20) A Keynesian believes that total demand is inclined by a swarm of financial decisions public and private. The public decisions include, financial and economic policies. Nearly all Keynesians and monetarists believe that both financial and economic policies affect total demand. Secondly changes in total demand have their affect on output and on employment not on prices. Keynesians believe that it must get worse for it to get better. BP s Commitment to the Recovery of Natural Resources The projects are part of BP s commitment to provide up to $1 billion in early restoration funding to expedite recovery of natural resources injured as a result of the Deepwater Horizon accident. The early restoration framework agreement signed in 2011 requires BP and the trustees to agree upon the potential projects, funding and the natural resources benefits the projects are expected to provide. The trustees then implement the projects. The agreement makes it possible for restoration to begin at an earlier stage of the natural resource damage (NRD) process than usual. NRD restoration projects are typically funded only after the NRD assessment is complete and a final settlement has been reached or a final court judgment has been entered. • 26. Reflection Paper On My Writing Process Reflective Memo Description of my Writing Process In my writing process, pre writing was my initial step where I had to find the narrative to write. I had numerous stories in my mind, but I had to get the best, which draws inspiration to me, and the one that could teach valuable lessons to my audience. So, I had to refer from that childhood memory regarding the most significant narrative. However, I had to build up on the story. Therefore, I had to use the myth worksheet issued at class, to make sure that my story meets all the course requirements. Apparently, I had to make some changes (revise) the narrative, to deliver the most intended life lesson to my audience. That is when I decided to plan and structure on what to write down in particular. The actual writing was my second step, where I had to start writing my draft. However, I had several challenges at this phase, such as word count, grammar issues, among others. Apparently, I had to write several rough copies of my narrative. Again, I had to get the best time and location to eliminate any potential distractions. In fact, at this stage, I had no confidence with my narrative on whether it will convey a relevant meaning to my audience. But now the writing process was advancing well, and I started revising my paper. When revising my narrative, I had to adapt A.R.R.R.R approach where, I had to add some words, rearrange my paragraphs and sentences to consider flow, pacing, and sequencing of my story. Again, I had to remove the irrelevant parts, considering whether the reader will acquire the required message. Finally, replacing them with the relevant words and phrases. My final step was editing and proofreading. At this phase, I had to check for clarity, grammar, repetition, punctuation, and spelling. Editing and proofreading were detailed processes since they were the last step in my writing process. At this moment, I had gained confidence in my paper, since I had read it several times, affirming that it made some sense. Furthermore, I gave it to my friend who is a professional to proofread, and he assured me that the paper was sensible. Models for Second Language Acquisition Some linguistic models try to explain the development of second language acquisition. The three most common models are (1) the Universal Grammar Model, (2) the Competition Model, and (3) the Monitor Model. The Universal Grammar Model refers to the system of principles, conditions, and rules that are properties or elements of all human languages. At the same time, each language has grammatical rules that vary from one language to another. Thus, Chomky states that different languages have a limited possibility of different grammatical structures (1975). Therefore, second language learners base their second language acquisition on universal principles common to all languages, and on the force of the particular rules of each language. All of those can be concluded that as a human, especially as children, we have vary form of rules in language, in this case is second language. The Competition Model is based in the assumption that forms of natural language are created to communicate. Thus, second language learners are faced with the conflict between ... • 31. The Main Reasons For Government And Privatize Their Airports Week 1: Identify and discuss the main reasons for a government to privatize their airports. In basic terms Privatisation is essentially the shift of assets from the public or government owned sector to the private sector, an important point to note is that privatisation doesn t always refer to ownership, but can also refer only to the management of an organisation. The advantages of privatisation include greater efficiency and fewer limitations involved in government spending allowances. Up until the 1990 s privatisation of airports was mainly within the general aviation, municipal type airfields. Airports were gradually considered as commercial enterprises , and as such commercialisation began to take place. Supporters of privatisation argue that it will reduce the need for public investment and give greater access to commercial markets. By doing this they are limiting government control, which may be a benefit in itself as there will be more space for diversification. With a wide share of ownership there can be far greater input from a range of sources. In a sense the government will still benefit from privatisation, as even though they may have less control overall, they will still benefit from the global market and from government associated taxes and levies not just on the airports movements but also taxing of the airport company itself. Conversely on the side of doubt, there is concern that privatisation may create a monopoly that could potentially be over ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

George Bellowswas also great at capturing the current events I saw one painting called Tennis in Newport. She is talking on the phone with someone and is telling them, You know the drill; stand down, blame a video, and send the details to my personal server. Both Political Cartoons portray Hillary as being dishonest and trying to escape to blame for her criminal like actions. Yet, even though both may be similar, there are certain aspects that divide the two and give them an individuality apart from their original message. To elaborate further on this, the second image uses ethos to the degree in which Hillary is making unethical decisions in office, in order to keep herself in office. It s similar to the first political cartoon, running on a theme of criminal like behavior, but differs from the first one because in the second cartoon, she has a certain amount of power in order to carry through with it. The political cartoons are also similar in the way that the conversations that take place over the phone, are held in some sort of a secret matter. However the second one differs from the first when it comes down to the subject criteria that is being discussed. The conversation in the first one is a series of questions, while the second one is on a more demanding basis. The tones in both images take a similar stance, setting up a very mysterious scene in both political cartoons. Hillary s face in the cartoons has a very distinctive appearance about it, giving the viewer the perception that she is up to no good. The only noticeable differences are the style she is wearing, as well as the style of cartooning, however the overall message is that she has the look that she knows what she did was wrong and it applies a very mysterious tone to what is taking place within the cartoons scene. Finally, the last given similarity touches along the lines of both pathos and logos. Each cartoon applies different small items to the scene, in order to breach the reader s emotional appeal through the use of a message. The theatrical, grandiose, and ornate style was heavily influenced by Christianity, life, love, symbolism, allegory, and morbidity. The artist Michelangel Merisi da Caravaggio a leading artist during this period used a combination of religious scenes in everyday locales filled with rough looking common people (Kleiner 549) along with the intensity of the dramatic Baroque passion for richness in color and texture. One of Caravaggio s most famous pieces of art was the Entombment of Christ, and David with the Head of Goliath, for which he painted his own head as the victim, with blood drips from his freshly severed neck, sparing nobody the gory facts of decapitation (Harris 49). The disturbed genius was also interested in the fresco painting of the Renaissance and this is perhaps what enticed Caravaggio to paint the Creation of Adam on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. • 50. Chemical Reaction Of Mentos The scope of this paper is to explain the reaction that takes place when Mentos are dropped into Diet Coke. This experiment is used frequently because of what happens when the candy meets the soda. A geyser is formed that shoots out of the bottle that resembles a volcanic eruption. Due to the similarity, it is also used for volcanoprojects. Depending on the alterations to the Mentos and/or Diet Coke, the geyser can either go much higher or much lower than normal. This reaction has produced much confusion among people about whether it is a physical or chemical reaction. It is a physical reaction because the substances remained the same, the reaction did not form a new substance. (Coffey) What creates the physical reaction is water molecules that go into the pores on the Mentos. The rough surface of Mentos allow this to happen. The water molecules grow to create carbon dioxide bubbles on the outside of the candy. The Mentos gain buoyancy, which means they rise to the surface of the soda. After this occurs, there is increased bubble formation, resulting in the liquid turning to foam and shooting out of the bottle. Bubble formation is also increased by the gum arabic and gelatin in the Mentos combining with the potassium benzoate, sugar, and aspartame in the Diet Coke. (Hiskey, Mental Floss) As stated above, there are alterations that speed the reaction. These include decreasing the surface tension of the Diet Coke, performing an acid base reaction, and warming the Diet Coke. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
