Proverbial Essays
Writing an essay on the topic of "Proverbial Essays" can be both challenging and intriguing. The
difficulty lies in the need to not only comprehend the essence of various proverbs but also to
skillfully weave them into a coherent and meaningful narrative. Proverbs, often rooted in cultural
and historical contexts, demand a nuanced understanding to convey their intended wisdom
effectively.
Crafting such an essay requires not only a strong grasp of language but also the ability to
interpret and expound upon the deeper meanings encapsulated within proverbs. It involves
delving into the cultural and linguistic nuances of these concise expressions, exploring their
origins, and connecting them to real-life situations or broader philosophical concepts.
Moreover, the challenge extends to striking a balance between elucidating the proverbs and
providing a unique perspective or analysis. It's not merely about listing and explaining proverbs
but about using them as building blocks to construct a cohesive and compelling narrative. The
essay should reflect a thoughtful engagement with the chosen proverbs, showcasing the author's
ability to synthesize information and present it in a thought-provoking manner.
As with any essay, the difficulty increases when one aims to captivate the reader, maintain a
logical flow, and ensure that the content is not only informative but also engaging. The challenge
is to make the proverbial wisdom relevant to contemporary issues, making the essay not just an
exploration of language but a reflection on the enduring relevance of age-old wisdom in today's
context.
In conclusion, writing an essay on "Proverbial Essays" demands a unique set of
skills—linguistic finesse, cultural awareness, and the ability to intertwine traditional wisdom
with contemporary insights. It is a task that necessitates creativity, analytical thinking, and a
profound appreciation for the richness embedded in proverbial expressions. For those seeking

In the past year, PRG received an average of $55,000, therefore we plan to match
this amount in our current proposal. Since PRG has recently developed their
mission to provide direct services to a new target group (women with reproductive
cancers other than breast cancer), the need for services is exponentially high. We
believe this goal is feasible, considering that Pink Ribbon Girls has had a 95%
success rate with grants.
Beneficiaries
Women from the Simply Fight and No Age No Stage programs at UC health who
are battling gynecological cancer will benefit from this project. According to
previous PRG grant proposals, $15,000 will serve 75 85 based on a family of four.
The Simply Fight recipients receive three meals per week for their entire family for
two months, in addition to other services such as four house cleanings and twenty
rides to treatment. The No Age No Stage recipients receive a $3,000 stipend. These
recipients will put the stipend towards the services they feel are the most important.
Artificial Sweetener Vs Coke Essay
Results and Discussion
In this experiment, aspects of the scientific method were introduced and the
significance of the process of gathering measurements during an experiment were
illustrated through the use of a diverse set of glassware: graduated cylinder,
volumetric pipette, and burette. These unique measuring instruments played a role in
concluding the densities of the two soft drinks, Coke and Diet Coke, and whether or
not a statistical difference existed between the two substances. Conversely, the
resulting densities determined by each of the differing glassware were assessed and
compared to each other in terms of accuracy and precision, with the most precise tool
that produced consistent similar results, deduced.

However, what was not mentioned was how the ingredients specifically contribute.
When analyzing the key ingredients of Coke and Diet Coke, sugar and artificial
sweetener, respectively, equal amounts of each product produces different levels of
sweetness, with artificial sweeteners being over a hundred times sweeter than
natural sugars.1 As a result, in order to produce a similar level of taste between the
two soft drinks, a large amount of sugar is added into Coke, in comparison to no
sugar, and a small amount of sweetener in Diet Coke. Thus contributing to a greater
mass of Coke, and therefore a greater density, despite the equal volumes of both soft
drinks.
Consequently, if the volume increased by a doubled amount under similar
experimental conditions where temperature and pressure remained constant, the
density of the soda would not be expected to change due to density being an intensive
property that is a ratio between the mass over the volume of a substance.2 As an
intensive property, density, under similar experimental conditions, will be the same
without regards to the amount presented. Doubling the volume would only serve to
punctuate the concept, considering how dividing two extensive properties, mass and
volume, that are directly proportional to the quantity of a substance, will cancel out
the quantity dependence, resulting in a ratio that is similar each
Economic Thought Is The Most Confusing Chapter By
Modern...
One of the most complicated concepts throughout the history of economic thought is
the idea of the measure of value. Therefore, it is no surprise Adam Smith s An
Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations Chapter five, entitled Of
the real and nominal Price of Commodities, or of their Price in Labour, and their
Price in Money, is considered the most confusing chapter by modern economist.
Smith attempts to explain the measureof valueand the mechanisms, by which that
value fluctuates. Value, as defined by Smith, has two different meanings, and
sometimes, expresses the utility of some particular object, and sometimes the
power of purchasing other goods which the possession of that object conveys. He
further clarifies these values as value in use and value in exchange, defined as the
value an individual receives from the use of a good and the value an individual
would pay for or would be willing to sell a good for, respectively. The chapter
consist of three main goals, Smith endeavored to show what is the real measure of
this exchangeable value, what are the real parts of which this real price is
composed, and what are the different circumstances which sometimes raise some or
all of these different parts of price above, and sometimes sink them below their
natural or ordinary rate. Showing the real measure of an exchangeable value quickly
proves difficult. Smith is content to conclude, Labour, therefore, is the real measure

Essay on Emily Prager s Our Barbies, Ourselves
Emily Prager s Our Barbies, Ourselves?
In the essay Our Barbies, Ourselves, Emily Prager explores the history of the
Barbie doll and talks about the Barbie doll itself. Prager seems convinced that the
Barbie doll was an object created by a man and that Barbie reeks of sexuality,
sexual innuendo and serves as the anti feminist embodiment of every man s fantasy.
In her own expressive and persuasive modes to fashion an essay designed to
persuade the reader that the Barbie doll is a twisted and corrupt tool designed by men
to combat the feminist revolution. Though her attempts at persuasion are
commendable, I was not swayed in my opinions on Barbie. If anything, I just found
fault with this writer s point of view, and I found her ... Show more content on

It is entirely possible that Barbie is the best of both worlds. Sexy yet smart.
Balancing the extreme worlds of male fantasy and feminine idealism.
Paragraph 7 talks about Prager?s feelings towards Barbie?s boyfriend, Ken. Prager
feels that if Barbie was too sexual, then Ken was the opposite with little or no
sexuality at all. His appearance was plain, a vast difference from the sculpted
curves and slopes of Barbie?s body. Prager suggests that this is because of Ken?s
concealed sexuality and Barbie?s exposed sexuality. His plastic painted on jockey
briefs were a far cry from Barbie?s larger than life bra free breasts. Prager continues
with her conclusion that Barbie must somehow be sexually frustrated, because of
Ken?s lack of sexuality, and no matter how sexy she is, or what she does, she will
never be able to turn Ken on.
It is my opinion that Prager has failed in her attempts to persuade the reader that
Barbie is a tool created from male fantasy or a poster child for modern feminism. If
anything this essay has helped me to realize that Barbie is a combination of both
worlds. She is both sexually appealing to men and someone that women can admire
and even a toy that little girls can play with and hope to be like when they are older.
I still remain adamantly devoted to my Barbie dolls, seeing her as neither temptress
or sexually frustrated object.
Pandora s Calyx-Krater
Nonetheless by the fifth century Hesiod s story of Pandora became a part of Greek
education and while most Athenians wouldn t have remembered all of the details
they surely would have remembered Pandora s pithos (box). While Pandora is
primarily known for this, there is evidence that shows that the Athenians preferred to
view her benevolent temperament. The pottery created in Athens towards the middle
of the fifth century depicted her as a charitable character. A Calyx Krater, by the

method to narrate the tale of Pandora. The very bottom register on illustrates satyrs

walking towards Pandora in the center who is holding a stalk of grain, signifying,
Pandora as an earth goddess. Hipponax, an ancient scholar who cataloged,
declared: To Pandora, the earth, because she bestows all things necessary for life.
Pandora was also associated with festivals of the first fruits of the earth,
specifically the Thargelia. The Thargelos, meaning pot full of seeds , is a festival
held at the time of harvest. Which would explain the connection Pandora would
have with a jar. Another depiction of Pandora as an earth goddess comes is the
form of a crater (Figures 3a 3b). The crater depicts Pandora on the right rising from

Study 2 For study two, a thematic analysis will be conductive to categorize themes

season, the episode that will be explored is Charmander The Stray PokГ©mon, and A

the researcher watched each episode while taking notes, the following themes
emerged in relations to the two research questions. In addition, each episode will be

The first layer or the narrative goals I would argue has shifted from a masculine
agenda towards a feminine agenda. From the qualitative evidence, one can see how
the first season of PokГ©mon promoted the need for competition and to further
enhance one s resources to become competitively valid. One the other hand, the newer
season explicit promote cooperation and co existence traits usually assigned as
feminine. However, the second layer of the show, the gender roles themselves, has
shifted in bipolar directions. For male characters, many of their behaviors still fit into
masculine roles. On the other hands, female characters have shifted from ambiguous
gender roles to more traditional feminine roles. Again the limitations of this study
should be mentioned. Because of the small sample size of the content analysis, it
would not be recommended to generalize the findings to the entire seasons. However,
this has started to point out potential gender shifts in long lasting television series. If
these shifts continue to be supported by continuous research, then further building

The Pornography Of The Porn Industry In The Teens
What a surprise to find out that the film I choose for a college midterm portrayed
the porn industry in the 1970s. To say I was shocked would be an understatement
and when I first started watching this movie, I didn t know if I could confront this
no no subject. However, after a little soul searching, I realized that society told me
as a woman not to talk about porn and so here I am writing a four page midterm on
Boogie Nights, a film set in the 1970s Fernando Valley. The movie tells the story of
a 17 year old boy s adventure from abusive mother to award winner porn actor and
the artistry behind a seemingly dirty subject. Boogie Nights was written and directed
by Paul Thomas Anderson, also known for other masterpieces such as There will be
Blood , Magnolia , and The Master (IMDB). The film won several awards which
were all too long to list out and it also happens to be the film s 20th birthday. Is
there a better way to celebrate than tearing it apart piece by piece for academic
purposes? I think not. With the rolling in of the 1970s came a huge expansion of
pornographyin the United States. The industry went from an underground cottage to
an open, aggressive $2 billion a year industry. (Time magazine) The porn industry
had a long history of criminal investigation and persecution in previous decades.
However, the court system lost its authority and power over porn filmmakers, and
they went wild. Boogie Nights is a film that wholly shows the boom in this
Intrinsic and Extrinsic Motivation in College Students
Let s take a closer look at how motivation ties in with these intrinsic and extrinsic
theories for motivation. It is clear that motivation is one of the most prominent
driving forces by which humans pursue and ultimately achieve their goals.
Motivation, quite simply, is rooted in the human instinct to minimize pain and
maximize pleasure. The characteristics of such a basic theory would usually be about
as clear cut as they come. However, motivationrelies heavily on one s personal
psychology as well as specific situations. As noted before in the survey, it also has two
very distinct and different sides to it, those being intrinsic motivation and extrinsic
motivation. Intrinsic motivation is defined as a type of motivation that is... Show

Identifying the learning style gives insight into what type of motivation will provide
the best response, and well as show what areas the person needs to work on to better
their performance and motivation as a whole. Although intrinsic motivation is
generally preferred, more responsive, and healthier, they are both effective and
perhaps even necessary to the success of college students. Understanding learning
styles is one good way to help generate motivation in students, but it is only the
beginning when it comes to combatting the all too common problem of
Epic Hero In Beowulf
He would sleep in the fire, soon. His soul, left his flesh, flew to glory. This very
quote from the epic Beowulf, sets the tone and very intense qualities of older epics.
This specific epic, focuses on the hero and Beowulf, who is the only warrior capable
of defeating the vicious villainous creature Grendel, and his mother. Beowulfshares
the qualities of many other epic heroes such as showing the nature of being almost
superhuman, being the deciding factor in the wellbeing of his people, and showing
uncontested bravery no matter the obstacle they must face. In more modern times,
the United StatesDelta Forcecan be considered an epic heroes based on the sheer
values and courage held by its members.
The United States 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment Delta, or Delta Force
for short, is considered one of, if not the best, elite Special Forces units in the world.
Its highly classified missions, state of the art combat equipment, members from the
highest echelon special operations teams in the United States, and agonizing training
regime, etcetera, has put this unit on the top. Beowulf was considered the strongest
man or warrior in his time, trekking through the unknowns, journey s that felt like
they would never end, battles that seemed to last forever. It is assumed Beowulf can
even be considered near superhuman. The same can be said for Delta operators
whose training, selection, and missions are near impossible for the average person.

Story Of An Hour Summary
In The Autonomous Female Self and the Death of Louise Mallard in Kate Chopin
s Story of an Hour, Mark Cunningham expresses his opinion on how he believes
Mrs. Mallard dies in Chopin s short story. The Story of an Hour was written in the
late 1890s, during a time when it was controversial for women to be independent.
The ending of her story has created somewhat of a dilemma among readers for
years. Some people conclude one ending based on the details and clues Chopin wrote
throughout the story, while others come up with a totally different opinion. Mark
Cunningham writes a brilliant article on his view of the story s ending, where he
clearly conveys his take on Louis Mallard s death. Although there are many times
when he repeats the same information, Cunningham makes good use of textual
evidence and authorities, as well as logic, which makes it easy to agree with his
claim. Cunningham s beliefon how the story ended varies from many other critic s
opinions. He points out how a great amount of readers believe the death of Mrs.
Mallard was caused by her seeing Mr. Mallard walk through the door of their
house, after receiving the news of his death in a train accident (par. 1). However,
Cunningham states he does not believe Louise Mallard even saw Brently Mallard at
all, and the cause of death was not from the shock of seeing him. In fact, he claims, I
believe that Louise does not see him... cause of her death lies elsewhere: in the joy...

Cyber Threat, Its Scope And Its Impact On National
Security
Cyberspace which is an offshoot for the development of computer and digital
communication technologies, has in recent decades become part and parcel of
our daily lives. It has become an ideal source for cyber criminals to remain active
while preying on victims. Higher the number of cyberspace users , higher is the
opportunities for exploitation. So it is the need of the hour to protect our
computers, networks, digital applications and our data from unintended or
unauthorized source, change or destruction. This paper proposes a policy directed
examination on cyber threat, its scope and its impact on national security. It
includes a profile of cooperation among criminals, terrorists and hostile
organizations and discusses future of cybercrime in 2020. In recent years,
Information warfare a new way of terrorism has become the major concern for
information security specialists; terrorists might tamper with computers and

My Experience Of A Project Contract
On May 31, 2017 I met Ethan Alexandre at The Tile Shop where he presented me
with two Invoices, one for 13rd of the project total estimation ($xxxxx) relating to
the Scope of Agreement which was my project list that I gave him and he put into a
company letterhead. The other relating to The Tile Shop Invoice for tile ($xxxxx).
We were meeting this day to retain for the project start date of June 15, 2017 and to
take advantage of the Memorial Weekend extra savings that would not be available
after this date to purchase tile material.
I was told I had to pay Element Construction for the materials up front as well as

Two weeks into the project when they were needed for the project, Ethan notified
me he would not be able to bring his Plumber or Electrician to the project nor a
custom cabinet maker. My local Plumber (Cozart) and Electrician (Mitchell) were
able to work us in and Ethan said he would adjust the project estimate for their part
as I paid Cozart and Mitchell directly. Ethan s skills as a general contractor are
questionable as well. His approach to the project was haphazard and without a
plan as to what would get accomplished the days he did show up. It would take him
all day to get to the job site, just to have to leave (sometimes more than once) to run
somewhere for materials or tools. Ethan also blamed his being late to my project
because he spends so much time running around getting materials and tools for his
(highly skilled?) employees. I even had to lend him an extension cord for his drill.
His worker, James, even talked at length with Ethan about getting a drywall person
to come to this project to hang the drywall. Ethan brought Calvin to the project after
that. He was a glass installer and it looked as if he had never hung drywall before.
The agreed completion of the project was 6 weeks. At 6 weeks, Ethan declared the
project to be half way completed and it looked like it had a lot longer to go,
especially since Ethan had a difficult time making it to the project site. He also said
he was having a cash flow
Comparison Of Paramecium, Amoeba, And Euglena
There are five supergroups within the Domain Eukarya. All supergroups contain
organisms called protists. Most Protists are often described as simple organisms;
however, their cellular organization and metabolism are as complex as other higher
organisms (McGraw Hill, 2017). Therefore, comparing between three of these
supergroups will make us understand their classification in that specific group.
Paramecium, Amoeba, and Euglena are three eukaryotic organisms that can be
interesting to compare them for several reasons. One of them is that these three
organisms cause the most harmful illness to the human body. Also, their structural
differences are very exciting to look at under the microscope. Therefore, knowing
their trophic level, life strategy, locomotion, and reproduction of these organisms will
help us understand why they were not grouped in the same supergroup.... Show more

Both of Paramecium and Amoeba are heterotrophs which means they depend on other
organisms to obtain food. Both can be found in ponds, streams, swamps, and
oftentimes leaf surfaces. However, under the microscopic, Paramecium can be easily
distinguished by its two nuclei that it possesses. On the other hand, Amoeba looks
like a gray blob with single nuclei. On the other hand, Euglena can be both
heterotrophs and autrophs, which can be called mixotrophs. That means that Euglena
depends on its surrounding environment. It can be parasitic or free living where
water and soil are present. It looks green under the microscopic because it contain
Essay On Paul Farmer As A Hero In Mountains Beyond
Mountains
When someone imagines a hero they usually think of a person that has
superpowers or a famous person that made an impact on society and mass amount
of people. But a hero can be as simple as someone who helps others and in the eyes
of others is looked up to. In Mountains Beyond Mountains by Tracy Kidder, Paul
Farmera doctor, is this hero. His beliefs and ideas impacts the lives of many and his
actions help many people around him. His commitment to the long defeat is what
helps Farmer in his decision making to treat patients and win.
Throughout his time helping others Farmers always refers to this term long defeat.
This term means that there might be a impossible goal that is trying to be reached
but it is wrong to give up or should not be given up so easily. It is easy to let it go

because they want to win.

Famer says I have fought the long defeat and brought other people on to fight the
long defeat, and I m not going to stop because we keep losing. Now I actually think
sometimes we may win ( Kidder .....) What he is saying is that since he is not
going to get this goal of heling others that is concerted a loss. But in fact, that is
wrong they win in this situation because they are helping others who need it.
Slowly they will get to their goal but for right now they win because even if one

(2) Restriction fragment length polymorphisms (RFLP)
When utilizing PCR RFLP, a DNA fragment is first amplified by PCR, then it is
digested by a certain restriction endonuclease to generate a restriction polymorphic
profile for the test subject species (Shaw et al., 2002). PCR amplification should be
highly conserved among a species so that it can be easily amplified. Each fragment
length is considered an allele, and RFLP occurs when the length of a detected
fragment varies between individuals.
(3) Random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD)
RAPD is effective in screening the differences in DNA sequences. The RAPD

Summary Of Igore By Gaige
Igore walks toward the kidnapper. The kidnapper proclaimed Let me guess,
youOur story starts off with our hero Igore. Igore is a 34 year old extroverted male
who doesn t exceed the limits. He normally likes to wear flannel shirts with khakis,
with nice shoes( vans, Nike, etc.). He is an atheist, but he is a very kind hearted
guy. Gaige Knaack One day while Igore was going to pick up his kids, he couldn t
find them. He searched everywhere for them, but they were nowhere to be seen.
He went home and when he looked in the mailbox, he found a letter. He read it and it
said I have kidnapped your kids,we can meet in the alley next to Trump Cafe. Igore
was very agitated about this and set off on his journey to save his kids, only grabbing
a couple of tools in his bag. Gaige Knaack While all this havoc is going through Igore
quickly ran to his bright red Ferrari and zoomed like a hawk to the back of the alley

The Impact Of Raising Children On The Canadian Family
The issue of the cost of raising children affects the canadian family because the
canadian family is now only one to maybe two children, where before it was
between three to maybe four children or more. As with the cost of raising children
is going up people are only want to have a few child so they are able to afford
everything for them so the canadian familyis getting smaller and smaller. Also to
maintain paying the bills and caring for your children both parents need to work so
all of the needs can be met. Or a single motheror father may have to work longer
days and hours. So children now have different roles at home as the parents might
not always be their. Child have to be more self reliant and grow up fastest and
parents reliable
The Application of Psychodynamic Theory Through
Dream...
INTRODUCTION
Psychodynamic Theory is based on the premise that human behaviour and
relationships are shaped by conscious and unconscious influences and include factors
such as internal processes, personality, motivation and drives, and the importance of
childhood experiences.
The essay will discuss and demonstrate the application of dream analysis as a
counselling approach and the personal and technical challenges associated with using
the psychoanalytic technique of free association . This will be done by analysing my
own personal dream from a psychoanalytical perspective
I will identify and describe two of the techniques used in psychoanalytical therapy: 1.

My next overwhelming feeling was being totally directionless. This had never
happened to me before. I always know where I am and have a great sense of
direction no matter where I am. This was of great concern to me, not knowing
where to start and in what direction to go. I started walking with my brother behind
me. We did not speak to one another. We would come across other people frantically
looking for their loved ones and stop to try and help them.
I remember carefully digging away the sand , bracing myself for that moment that
a face or hand would suddenly appear, imagining what the person s facial expression
would look like, a frozen expression telling the story of their last terrifying moments
alive. I clearly remember having flashes of all the previous faces I had seen of
deceased people while working as a paramedic.(148 words)
Direction: Determination, goal, accomplishment, in control, puts me at ease knowing

Brother: Lack of communication, unresolved issues, bond of love. Inner conflict,

Paramedics: Past, post traumatic stress, resentments, loss, anger, closure, encounters
with people from all walks of life who are in distress.
We couldn t stop or help for long. I was determined to find my parents. Carefully
walking around the waters edge I was suddenly sucked in by a huge wave. I
somehow managed to catch a quick glimpse of the total devastation
Manchester Airport Regulations
Manchester Airport operates in an increasingly competitive environment and must
differentiate itself not only.
Finance
All organisations must take great care in setting their financial targets. If they are set
too low then they will be readily achieved and full potential will not be reached.
At present the economic regulation of airports is targeted solely at reducing the
charges to airlines. Non aviation income is not regulated and the Airport, therefore,
seeks to encourage the development of such revenue streams to sustain the
profitability of the Company.
To maintain its reputation as a quality service provider, therefore,
Manchester Airport has to ensure that it increases capacity and markets itself to

2. The lifting of restrictions on airlines as to which airports they cn fly has resulted in
the successful establishment of a number of new routes to a number of countries and
the growth of opportunities for no frills airlines.
Competition
Manchester Airport operates in an increasingly competitive environment and must
differentiate itself not only from other UK airports but also major European airports,
who are becoming more aggressive in trying to attract and develop scheduled and
charter traffic.
Single Till
The current regulation also determines that all income within the
Manchester Airport group counts towards the Single Till, that is, it should be set
against the overall rate of return allowed under regulation to increasingly subsidise
cots to airlines.
Government Regulation
Although the Manchester Airport group is a public limited company
(plc) there is a policy not to issue shares publicly.
Economic Environment
The charter market accounts for approximately 55% of Airport activities, whilst the
scheduled market 45%. Future trends indicate that the gap may be narrowing as
more scheduled and economy carries increasingly cater for leisure traffic. It is hoped
that this will limit the effects of the volatility of the charter market, which can drop
significantly of recession.
Seasonal Factors
The Airport is busiest during the summer months when
College Cost Benefit Analysis
Bernie Sanders, an American politician defines college education as a right, not a
privilege. Society today requires students or those who choose to attend, to pay
perpetually high tuitions in order to receive a higher education (college). Too many,
it undoubtedly is a privilege rather than a right. By means of this, many young people
contradict Sander s statement by skipping to receive a collegeeducationdue to these
apparent tuitions and student expenses (Josephson). Future possible career plans and
speculations are consequently jeopardized. According to College Board, the average
tuition for out of state students attending a public four year college is about $23,890

Investing in tuition free education will establish the diversity and equality amongst
the student body, develop an all around educated society, and ultimately financially
assist those facing the student debt crisis. Generally, universities lack the amount of
diversity and minorities within. Truly, this is a critical influence students needs in
order to enrich the knowledge of one s educational experience. Granting the
opportunity to those who are from low income families would give the same
amount of success despite social rankings within society; therefore, fair chances are
given to all, making it more ethically acceptable. Furthermore, with the overall
increase in attendance of college students, a well rounded education based society is
formed. Within, crime rates and occupational income are directly affected.
Individuals less educated are far more likely to commit crimes as opposed to the
more educated. Financial incomes are generally above high school diploma holders
as compared to college degree holders. Finally, tuition free colleges would easily
assist the millions of students across the nation in trillion dollars of debt; overall
shaping more desirable futures. Therefore, the best way to promote change for tuition
free education must start within local areas. People should show their efforts through
campaigns and peaceful protests within

The Apotheosis Of The Dance At The Allen Chapel
On Saturday, May 9th, the RIT Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra put on a
performance titled the Apotheosis of the Dance at the Allen Chapel within the
Schmitt Interfaith Center. The performance began with the RIT Chamber Orchestra,
featuring mostly stringed instruments, performing works of Mozart, Bach, and
Grainger. After a short intermission, the RIT Orchestraentered and performed a piece
composed by Beethoven. The majority of the concert was conducted by Michael E.
Ruhling, with the exception of a few pieces performed by the Chamber Orchestra
that did not require a conductor. The Orchestra consisted of string, woodwind, brass,
and percussion sections, and the Chamber Orchestra only had a string section with a
flute soloist. The concert began immediately with the Chamber Orchestra s
performance of Mozart s Divertimento in D major , K. 136. This piece consisted of
the 3 movements, Allegro, Andante, and Presto, which follows the fast slow fast
arrangement typical of the Classical era. Divertimento is one of Mozart s Salzburg
symphonies, which are symphonies performed by only string sections. After the
performance of this piece, the conductor commented on the 2nd violins part, and drew
the conclusion that Mozart must have saved that role for either himself or an
enemy. The second piece performed by the Chamber Orchestra was Bach s Suite
No. 2 in B minor , BWV 1067. This piece did not require a conductor, and also
featured a flute soloist, Maisa Peters. Their
The Impact Of Environmentalism
Environmentalism and the impact of environmental issues on the domestic and
foreign policy of the United States Environmentalism impacts many different aspects
of life. There are many different ways to look at environmentalism, as the planet faces
many different issues revolving around nature and how it can impact humanlife in a
certain way. Humans can impact environmentalismin a heavy aspect, which is why
there needs to be a domestic and foreign policy surrounding such a matter.
Environmentalism is a different way of thinking in which people try to care more
about the planet and the long term survival of earth. It means recognizing the planet s
environmental problems and coming up with solutions. (Woodford 2017) The

People should realize that the environment has its own value that needs to be
protected, because after all humans rely greatly on the environment for many things.
The more people change the way they look at the environment and try and increase
the environment in many ways, the better life will be for people, and also the
environment can also start healing a lot sooner than it was doing before. If people
don t start taking action, the environment will not start be healed as soon as it should
be and the environment could in result decline. There are two main ways of
environmental thought. The first type is anthropocentric which means human
centered. The second type is biocentric, which means life centered. Anthropocentric
essentially focuses on the negative effects that environmental degradation has on
human beings and their interests, including their interests in health, recreation, and
quality of life. (Elliott 2017) It mainly wants to explain the moral obligations that
humans should have towards nature, and that it should somewhat relate to relations
humans between humans, because the environment needs to be preserved for the
future. If the environment is mistreated now, then in the future the environment could
decline drastically. If humans don t start taking action now from a moral standpoint,
then maybe twenty or thirty years down the road, there are going to be certain
environmental consequences. On
Vermont Teddy Bear Case
Although Vermont Teddy Bear is a company with a rich track record in the business
of last minute gifts , its mission statement lacked its basic goals and philosophies that
aim to shape its strategic posture. Vermont s mission statement clearly speaks to
someone who is well acquainted with what the company does and what it sells, which
is in my opinion a crucial point that the company missed when they addressed its
customers. The following points provide an insight on what went wrong when
Vermont decided to formulate its mission statement: * The Basic Product the

As for Labor, and given the massive production the company is required to
undertake to meet its customers needs especially in special occasions such as
Christmas, Valentine s Day amp; Mother s Day , the company heavily relied on
outsourced home workers who performed production functions at their homes and
hence were treated as independent contractors. Although these home workers
/independent contractors allowed the company flexibility in meeting heavy
demand as mentioned earlier which allowed them in scheduling their hours of
work, home workers were free to reject or accept any work offered by the company
which might make the company vulnerable to failure in meeting its customers
heavy demand especially in high season sales. The company maintains a solid HR
system through a strong built bear culture among employees. The company s
manpower do not belong to any unions which eliminates any Labor issues. on the
credit side I believe that the company does not face any problem with external
financing; the company has two sources of financing, equity through issuance of
shares since it is a traded company in the New York stock exchange market, in
addition to debt and leasing which can be provided through commercial banks and
leasing companies, which in my opinion is not a viable point for Vermont as it
already consumed most of its credit limits lately, comparing with its competitors who
had greater financial resources. Historically, the company s
Palestrina s Role In The Counter-Reformation
Palestrina s role in the Counter Reformation was to write music that could be used
in the chapel. On April 28, 1565 singers of the papal chapel were brought together
at the home of Cardinal Vitellozzi to test to see if words could be understood in
the songs. People don t know if Palestrina s Missa Papae Marcelli was performed
there or not. But some suggestions say that it was copied in a choirbook later on.
Palestrina was involved in composing some works for the chapel and evidence
increases that some compositions that he has written and is to write is for use of the
chapel. Another role that Palestrina had in the Counter Reformation was to work on
the revisions of the plainsongs of the Roman Gradual and Antiphoner. Palestrina
never completed this project... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The revisions ended up being made by Felice Anerio and Francesco Soriano. The
revisions made are what Palestrina would have. Some of the revisions that he
made can be seen in some chants of the 1582 Directorum Chori. The first song,
Kyrie, I have actually heard before because one of the choirs in my high school
sang it for one of there songs. The song has a very nice flow to it and seems like a
song that is sung in a church somewhere. I looked up what the word Kyrie means
and found from dictionary.com that it means, Lord, have mercy .(SDFAS) The
second song ,Gloria, was also a very smooth flowing song. With all of the different
parts in it, it makes it sound very good. Palestrina did very well on both of the
pieces. Palestrina had a couple of roles in the Counter Reformation. One was to
write music that could be used in the chapel. Another one was he had to work on
the revisions of the plainsongs of the Roman Gradual and Antiphoner. Listening to
two of Palestrina s works was very neat. After hearing Kyrie on here from what i
heard from my choir in high school was neat to hear the differences. Palestrina did
very well on both pieces that I listened
The Curriculum For Excellence And Education
The Curriculum for Excellence, introduced in 2014, aims to transform education in
Scotland for ages 3 18. It intends to progress the standards of education and learning
in the country by moving away from more traditional methods of teaching. This
strategy, developed by the Scottish Government, recognises that learningis a lifelong
process, beginning at birth, and therefore it is important to employ methods which
prepare children from a young age for a life of work. In order to do so, the
curriculum is based on seven key principles which are designed to provide young
people with the knowledge and skills for life in the 21st century. This knowledge and
skill is learnt through experiences and opportunities which are carefully planned for
each age group, encouraging space for learning out with the standard school subject
boundaries. The programme has four main outcomes prompting children to become
successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective
contributors. Once an individual has completed the education programme, reflections
of the curriculum s purpose can be assessed in the child or young person to see if
they have met the proposed outcomes and therefore determining the overall success.
One of the key principles of the curriculum is Health and Wellbeing. This area
focuses on the development and maintenance of young people s mental, emotional,
social and physical health. As well as promoting a healthy lifestyle, full of activity,
challenge and
Chicken Shingles Essay
Shingles is a painful rash that causes inflammation of the nerves beneath the skin.
The rash, caused by a virus called Varicella Zoster Virus, which is the same virus
that causes the chicken pox. If you had the chicken pox you are at risk for shingles
because the virus stays inactive in your nerve tissue (The Mayo Clinic, 2016).
Unlike a mild case of chicken pox, the shingles virus causes severe pain, burning,
itching, fluid filled blisters, and in rare cases, death (Novatnack, 2007).
Without shingles affecting your nervous system, your dermatomes would be
functioning properly and without pain. A dermatome is in areas of the skin that are
supplied by a spinal nerve. They also help limit neurologic levels and are supplied by
the branches of a single dorsal root ganglion. This means that when functioning
properly, a dermatome would be forming connective tissues, and plainly existing on
the spinal nerves. The sensory neurons would be functioning properly, along with the
dorsal root ganglion (Kisgner, 2015).
Once you have the chicken pox, the virus travels from your skin, to the cranial
nerves, and then to your dorsal root ganglion cells. After that, the virus remains
dormant. The virus waits until the setting is ideal in your ... Show more content on

People who are most commonly at risk are the elderly, patients with HIV; those with
cancer, or organ transplant recipients. Pretty much anyone who has a condition or
takes a medication that suppresses your immune system is at risk (Novatnack, 2007).
Common symptoms that arise before the rash appears are pain, burning, numbness,
tingling, and sensitivity to touch. After a few days, a red rash will form with fluid
filled blisters. The rash that usually develops wraps around either side of your
torso. The rash can even display around your eye or side of the neck or face. Itching

Interpersonal Violence Against Women
We as a societal whole must come together to end the interpersonal violence against
women not just at home but in the world. Waiting to patch up the problem after the
abuse happens is not how we will stop the violence to begin with you have to start
at the source of the problem to fix it. In a world dominated by patriarchy it is seen
as weak to speak out against the violenceof women if you are a male. Even in
Hollywood, we see so many images of rape, abuse, and violence against womenas
completely normal but when the abuse occurs to animals it is an outrage. We have to
move from bandaging the wound to curing the disease of interpersonal violence
against women. One problem that our society deals with is our media induced fear or

Homeland Security And Border Security
The concept of border security in the U.S. shares a complex and ever changing
relationship with global economics, international crime, and terrorism. In this
context border security includes the protection of not only land borders, but also
sea and air ports of entry. The relationship between federal, state and local
authorities makes for a unique operation that must be ever changing and evolving to
meet new and different threats. This massive undertaking falls directly under the
Department of Homeland Security. Their mission calls on the agency to prevent
the illegal flow of people and goods across U.S. air, land, and sea borders while
expediting the safe flow of lawful travel and commerce; ensure security and resilience

Clearly there have been no successful airline hijackings that resulted like 9/11 and
that being the new standard of achievement we are doing quite well. What we must
focus on is the prevention of something larger and possibly even more difficult,
several coordinated small scale attacks. Unfortunately there is no one size fits all
plan that will work for land, sea and air borders. Each, as outlined previously, pose
unique and difficult challenges. One of the most pressing issues to border security
is illegal immigration. Not only is it a drain on the economy through entitlement
programs but is a security concern because we just don t know who is coming
across the border. As a country one solution is to cut off the incentive to illegally
enter the country. Just the fact that you are very unlikely to be caught much less
deported for entering illegally is reason enough to sneak across the border. Throw in
the free medical, food stamps, housing assistance, and education along with the
Holy Grail of potential amnesty leading to citizenship and it only makes sense that
someone struggling in Latin American would do anything to get in. What we must
work on is a working system for legal immigration not the system of limited work
visas, exile requests and family reunification requests that we are working with now.
We can also work with our neighbor to the south Mexico to continue to stem the flow
of narcotics as well as working
The Sedition Act
Perhaps the most deadly flaw in human nature is its insatiable desire for power. The
acquisition and maintenance of power has been the subject of human thought ever
since the dawn of its existence. From Caesar s overthrow of the Roman Republic in
the first century to Hitler s Third Reich in the twentieth century, history has
repeatedly proven man s incessant hunger for power. In an attempt to curve this
weakness of man, the authors of the United StatesConstitution included a Bill of
Rights in 1789 that limited the power of the United States government over its
citizens. This document, as remarkable as it is, has proven unable to restrain those in
power from overstepping their bounds. Leaders within the United States government
have time, and time again, compromised on the laws this document instilled by
dismissing their encroaches as acts to ensure national security of or general welfare,
but for the purpose of increasing their dominion over those they obligated to... Show

The Act declared that no words criticizing the government, armed forces, or the
flag could be uttered during a period of international tension or conflict. Violation
of this decree resulted in imprisonment for up to twenty years. Obviously, the law
was in direct conflict of the 1st Amendment right guaranteeing free speech. The
law gave the federal government power to imprison anyone who disagreed with
them, such as the case of Marie Equi and Mollie Steimer. Marie Equi was a
political activist who opposed World War One, and as such was arrested and
imprisoned for three years. Mollie Steimer was also arrested and imprisoned for
fifteen years on account for her denouncement of American actions in Russia
regarding the Bolshevik Revolution. Both women (and many like them) held
contempt for government action, petitioned for redress, and were silenced under the
penalty of law; a situation illegal under the Bill of

nonfiction book Enemy at the Gates: The Battle for Stalingrad, which describes the

Comparing Lilo And Stitch
My Career Choice
What s your favorite movie? Mine is definitely Lilo and Stitch. I love the setting,
the musical score, and obviously the characters. You can t make a good animated
movie, or a good movie in general, without a good performance from the actors.
Actors make their characters, and usually the whole movie. Which is exactly why I
want to be an actor when i m older.
The pay of an actor varies from person to person. The lowest pay per hour is
usually about $8.79, for modeling/low budget projects. On the other hand, the
highest pay per hour is nearly $90, an example being if it deals with big actors on
small t.v shows. Usually, with movies and certain television shows, the mean pay is
around $43.33. I would probably get paid the latter, because movies/t.v shows are
what i m interested in.

Erik Erikson s Theory And Theory
Both Erik Erikson s theory and Mary Ainsworth and John Bowlby theory support the
idea that early life experiences impact the person across their lifespan. Erikson s
developmental theory discusses the eight stages of life and the forces and values that
arise at each stage, which should be developed within this frame. The attachment
theoryfocuses on the interaction an individual has and the impact it may have on
their psychological and social development. Both theories believe that personality
begins to develop from a young age and therefore occurrences in early life can have
lasting impacts on the developmental of an individual.
An individual s social and psychological development is significantly influenced by
early life and childhood experiences. The experiences an individual has as child
impacts on the development of social skills, behaviours, morals and values of an
individual.
Erikson s theory, developed in 1963, supports the idea that early life experiences
impact an individual across their lifespan. This theory considers that growth of an
individual is a result of interaction with the environment, biological maturation and
societal influences, therefore, allowing for experiences from early life, to influence
an individual throughout their lifespan. Erikson s theory focuses on eight different
developmental stages within a lifespan and in order to progress from one stage to
another, an individual must overcome a potential crisis of two opposing forces at each

  • 1. Proverbial Essays Writing an essay on the topic of "Proverbial Essays" can be both challenging and intriguing. The difficulty lies in the need to not only comprehend the essence of various proverbs but also to skillfully weave them into a coherent and meaningful narrative. Proverbs, often rooted in cultural and historical contexts, demand a nuanced understanding to convey their intended wisdom effectively. Crafting such an essay requires not only a strong grasp of language but also the ability to interpret and expound upon the deeper meanings encapsulated within proverbs. It involves delving into the cultural and linguistic nuances of these concise expressions, exploring their origins, and connecting them to real-life situations or broader philosophical concepts. Moreover, the challenge extends to striking a balance between elucidating the proverbs and providing a unique perspective or analysis. It's not merely about listing and explaining proverbs but about using them as building blocks to construct a cohesive and compelling narrative. The essay should reflect a thoughtful engagement with the chosen proverbs, showcasing the author's ability to synthesize information and present it in a thought-provoking manner. As with any essay, the difficulty increases when one aims to captivate the reader, maintain a logical flow, and ensure that the content is not only informative but also engaging. The challenge is to make the proverbial wisdom relevant to contemporary issues, making the essay not just an exploration of language but a reflection on the enduring relevance of age-old wisdom in today's context. In conclusion, writing an essay on "Proverbial Essays" demands a unique set of skills—linguistic finesse, cultural awareness, and the ability to intertwine traditional wisdom with contemporary insights. It is a task that necessitates creativity, analytical thinking, and a profound appreciation for the richness embedded in proverbial expressions. In the past year, PRG received an average of $55,000, therefore we plan to match this amount in our current proposal. Since PRG has recently developed their mission to provide direct services to a new target group (women with reproductive cancers other than breast cancer), the need for services is exponentially high. We believe this goal is feasible, considering that Pink Ribbon Girls has had a 95% success rate with grants. Beneficiaries Women from the Simply Fight and No Age No Stage programs at UC health who are battling gynecological cancer will benefit from this project. According to previous PRG grant proposals, $15,000 will serve 75 85 based on a family of four. The Simply Fight recipients receive three meals per week for their entire family for two months, in addition to other services such as four house cleanings and twenty rides to treatment. • 3. Artificial Sweetener Vs Coke Essay Results and Discussion In this experiment, aspects of the scientific method were introduced and the significance of the process of gathering measurements during an experiment were illustrated through the use of a diverse set of glassware: graduated cylinder, volumetric pipette, and burette. These unique measuring instruments played a role in concluding the densities of the two soft drinks, Coke and Diet Coke, and whether or not a statistical difference existed between the two substances. Conversely, the resulting densities determined by each of the differing glassware were assessed and compared to each other in terms of accuracy and precision, with the most precise tool that produced consistent similar results, deduced. With regards to the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... However, what was not mentioned was how the ingredients specifically contribute. When analyzing the key ingredients of Coke and Diet Coke, sugar and artificial sweetener, respectively, equal amounts of each product produces different levels of sweetness, with artificial sweeteners being over a hundred times sweeter than natural sugars.1 As a result, in order to produce a similar level of taste between the two soft drinks, a large amount of sugar is added into Coke, in comparison to no sugar, and a small amount of sweetener in Diet Coke. Thus contributing to a greater mass of Coke, and therefore a greater density, despite the equal volumes of both soft drinks. Consequently, if the volume increased by a doubled amount under similar experimental conditions where temperature and pressure remained constant, the density of the soda would not be expected to change due to density being an intensive property that is a ratio between the mass over the volume of a substance.2 As an intensive property, density, under similar experimental conditions, will be the same without regards to the amount presented. Doubling the volume would only serve to punctuate the concept, considering how dividing two extensive properties, mass and volume, that are directly proportional to the quantity of a substance, will cancel out the quantity dependence, resulting in a ratio that is similar each
  • 4. Economic Thought Is The Most Confusing Chapter By Modern... One of the most complicated concepts throughout the history of economic thought is the idea of the measure of value. Therefore, it is no surprise Adam Smith s An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations Chapter five, entitled Of the real and nominal Price of Commodities, or of their Price in Labour, and their Price in Money, is considered the most confusing chapter by modern economist. Smith attempts to explain the measureof valueand the mechanisms, by which that value fluctuates. Value, as defined by Smith, has two different meanings, and sometimes, expresses the utility of some particular object, and sometimes the power of purchasing other goods which the possession of that object conveys. He further clarifies these values as value in use and value in exchange, defined as the value an individual receives from the use of a good and the value an individual would pay for or would be willing to sell a good for, respectively. The chapter consist of three main goals, Smith endeavored to show what is the real measure of this exchangeable value, what are the real parts of which this real price is composed, and what are the different circumstances which sometimes raise some or all of these different parts of price above, and sometimes sink them below their natural or ordinary rate. Showing the real measure of an exchangeable value quickly proves difficult. Smith is content to conclude, Labour, therefore, is the real measure of the

  • 6. Essay on Emily Prager s Our Barbies, Ourselves Emily Prager s Our Barbies, Ourselves? In the essay Our Barbies, Ourselves, Emily Prager explores the history of the Barbie doll and talks about the Barbie doll itself. Prager seems convinced that the Barbie doll was an object created by a man and that Barbie reeks of sexuality, sexual innuendo and serves as the anti feminist embodiment of every man s fantasy. In her own expressive and persuasive modes to fashion an essay designed to persuade the reader that the Barbie doll is a twisted and corrupt tool designed by men to combat the feminist revolution. Though her attempts at persuasion are commendable, I was not swayed in my opinions on Barbie. If anything, I just found fault with this writer s point of view, and I found her ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It is entirely possible that Barbie is the best of both worlds. Sexy yet smart. Balancing the extreme worlds of male fantasy and feminine idealism. Paragraph 7 talks about Prager?s feelings towards Barbie?s boyfriend, Ken. Prager feels that if Barbie was too sexual, then Ken was the opposite with little or no sexuality at all. His appearance was plain, a vast difference from the sculpted curves and slopes of Barbie?s body. Prager suggests that this is because of Ken?s concealed sexuality and Barbie?s exposed sexuality. His plastic painted on jockey briefs were a far cry from Barbie?s larger than life bra free breasts. Prager continues with her conclusion that Barbie must somehow be sexually frustrated, because of Ken?s lack of sexuality, and no matter how sexy she is, or what she does, she will never be able to turn Ken on. It is my opinion that Prager has failed in her attempts to persuade the reader that Barbie is a tool created from male fantasy or a poster child for modern feminism. Ultimately, I do not watch much television but, lucky for me two of my favorite shows that I do get the chance to watch, air back to back on Thursday evenings. I was able to watch both of them within the two hour time period requirement for this particular assignment. The television shows I chose were, Grey s Anatomy, on ABC and Dance Moms, on the lifetime channel. I am going to use these two shows to investigate further into the ... I have noticed that the commercials being played are almost the same type of setting as the show. For example a commercial came on about the Little Women of LA, which again the starring roles in this show are all female. Another commercial was of a mom cleaning her home and adding a touch of Fra breeze to the finished product, which goes along with the role of the women playing a house wife like in dance moms, while sewing their girls costumes and doing their hair and make up. Most commercials for this show are directed toward women
  • 30. The Apotheosis Of The Dance At The Allen Chapel On Saturday, May 9th, the RIT Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra put on a performance titled the Apotheosis of the Dance at the Allen Chapel within the Schmitt Interfaith Center. The performance began with the RIT Chamber Orchestra, featuring mostly stringed instruments, performing works of Mozart, Bach, and Grainger. After a short intermission, the RIT Orchestraentered and performed a piece composed by Beethoven. The majority of the concert was conducted by Michael E. Ruhling, with the exception of a few pieces performed by the Chamber Orchestra that did not require a conductor. The Orchestra consisted of string, woodwind, brass, and percussion sections, and the Chamber Orchestra only had a string section with a flute soloist. The concert began immediately with the Chamber Orchestra s performance of Mozart s Divertimento in D major , K. 136. This piece consisted of the 3 movements, Allegro, Andante, and Presto, which follows the fast slow fast arrangement typical of the Classical era. Divertimento is one of Mozart s Salzburg symphonies, which are symphonies performed by only string sections. After the performance of this piece, the conductor commented on the 2nd violins part, and drew the conclusion that Mozart must have saved that role for either himself or an enemy. The second piece performed by the Chamber Orchestra was Bach s Suite No. 2 in B minor , BWV 1067. This piece did not require a conductor, and also featured a flute soloist, Maisa Peters. Their

The Impact Of Environmentalism Environmentalism and the impact of environmental issues on the domestic and foreign policy of the United States Environmentalism impacts many different aspects of life. There are many different ways to look at environmentalism, as the planet faces many different issues revolving around nature and how it can impact humanlife in a certain way. Humans can impact environmentalismin a heavy aspect, which is why there needs to be a domestic and foreign policy surrounding such a matter. People should realize that the environment has its own value that needs to be protected, because after all humans rely greatly on the environment for many things. The more people change the way they look at the environment and try and increase the environment in many ways, the better life will be for people, and also the environment can also start healing a lot sooner than it was doing before. If people don t start taking action, the environment will not start be healed as soon as it should be and the environment could in result decline. There are two main ways of environmental thought. The first type is anthropocentric which means human centered. The second type is biocentric, which means life centered. Anthropocentric essentially focuses on the negative effects that environmental degradation has on human beings and their interests, including their interests in health, recreation, and quality of life. (Elliott 2017) It mainly wants to explain the moral obligations that humans should have towards nature, and that it should somewhat relate to relations humans between humans, because the environment needs to be preserved for the future. If the environment is mistreated now, then in the future the environment could decline drastically. If humans don t start taking action now from a moral standpoint, then maybe twenty or thirty years down the road, there are going to be certain environmental consequences. On

Vermont s mission statement clearly speaks to someone who is well acquainted with what the company does and what it sells, which is in my opinion a crucial point that the company missed when they addressed its customers. As for Labor, and given the massive production the company is required to undertake to meet its customers needs especially in special occasions such as Christmas, Valentine s Day amp; Mother s Day , the company heavily relied on outsourced home workers who performed production functions at their homes and hence were treated as independent contractors. Although these home workers /independent contractors allowed the company flexibility in meeting heavy demand as mentioned earlier which allowed them in scheduling their hours of work, home workers were free to reject or accept any work offered by the company which might make the company vulnerable to failure in meeting its customers heavy demand especially in high season sales. The company maintains a solid HR system through a strong built bear culture among employees. The company s manpower do not belong to any unions which eliminates any Labor issues. on the credit side I believe that the company does not face any problem with external financing; the company has two sources of financing, equity through issuance of shares since it is a traded company in the New York stock exchange market, in addition to debt and leasing which can be provided through commercial banks and leasing companies, which in my opinion is not a viable point for Vermont as it already consumed most of its credit limits lately, comparing with its competitors who had greater financial resources. • 33. Palestrina s Role In The Counter-Reformation Palestrina s role in the Counter Reformation was to write music that could be used in the chapel. On April 28, 1565 singers of the papal chapel were brought together at the home of Cardinal Vitellozzi to test to see if words could be understood in the songs. People don t know if Palestrina s Missa Papae Marcelli was performed there or not. But some suggestions say that it was copied in a choirbook later on. Palestrina was involved in composing some works for the chapel and evidence increases that some compositions that he has written and is to write is for use of the chapel. Another role that Palestrina had in the Counter Reformation was to work on the revisions of the plainsongs of the Roman Gradual and Antiphoner. Palestrina never completed this project... Some of the revisions that he made can be seen in some chants of the 1582 Directorum Chori. The first song, Kyrie, I have actually heard before because one of the choirs in my high school sang it for one of there songs. The song has a very nice flow to it and seems like a song that is sung in a church somewhere. I looked up what the word Kyrie means and found from dictionary.com that it means, Lord, have mercy .(SDFAS) The second song ,Gloria, was also a very smooth flowing song. With all of the different parts in it, it makes it sound very good. Palestrina did very well on both of the pieces. Palestrina had a couple of roles in the Counter Reformation. One was to write music that could be used in the chapel. Another one was he had to work on the revisions of the plainsongs of the Roman Gradual and Antiphoner. Listening to two of Palestrina s works was very neat. After hearing Kyrie on here from what i heard from my choir in high school was neat to hear the differences. Palestrina did very well on both pieces that I listened

It intends to progress the standards of education and learning in the country by moving away from more traditional methods of teaching. This strategy, developed by the Scottish Government, recognises that learningis a lifelong process, beginning at birth, and therefore it is important to employ methods which prepare children from a young age for a life of work. In order to do so, the curriculum is based on seven key principles which are designed to provide young people with the knowledge and skills for life in the 21st century. This knowledge and skill is learnt through experiences and opportunities which are carefully planned for each age group, encouraging space for learning out with the standard school subject boundaries. The programme has four main outcomes prompting children to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. Once an individual has completed the education programme, reflections of the curriculum s purpose can be assessed in the child or young person to see if they have met the proposed outcomes and therefore determining the overall success. One of the key principles of the curriculum is Health and Wellbeing. This area focuses on the development and maintenance of young people s mental, emotional, social and physical health. As well as promoting a healthy lifestyle, full of activity, challenge and
  • 35. Chicken Shingles Essay Shingles is a painful rash that causes inflammation of the nerves beneath the skin. The rash, caused by a virus called Varicella Zoster Virus, which is the same virus that causes the chicken pox. If you had the chicken pox you are at risk for shingles because the virus stays inactive in your nerve tissue (The Mayo Clinic, 2016). Unlike a mild case of chicken pox, the shingles virus causes severe pain, burning, itching, fluid filled blisters, and in rare cases, death (Novatnack, 2007). Without shingles affecting your nervous system, your dermatomes would be functioning properly and without pain. A dermatome is in areas of the skin that are supplied by a spinal nerve. They also help limit neurologic levels and are supplied by the branches of a single dorsal root ganglion. This means that when functioning properly, a dermatome would be forming connective tissues, and plainly existing on the spinal nerves. The sensory neurons would be functioning properly, along with the dorsal root ganglion (Kisgner, 2015). Once you have the chicken pox, the virus travels from your skin, to the cranial nerves, and then to your dorsal root ganglion cells. After that, the virus remains dormant. Waiting to patch up the problem after the abuse happens is not how we will stop the violence to begin with you have to start at the source of the problem to fix it. In a world dominated by patriarchy it is seen as weak to speak out against the violenceof women if you are a male. Even in Hollywood, we see so many images of rape, abuse, and violence against womenas completely normal but when the abuse occurs to animals it is an outrage. We have to move from bandaging the wound to curing the disease of interpersonal violence against women. One problem that our society deals with is our media induced fear or the wrong

In this context border security includes the protection of not only land borders, but also sea and air ports of entry. The relationship between federal, state and local authorities makes for a unique operation that must be ever changing and evolving to meet new and different threats. What we must focus on is the prevention of something larger and possibly even more difficult, several coordinated small scale attacks. Unfortunately there is no one size fits all plan that will work for land, sea and air borders. Each, as outlined previously, pose unique and difficult challenges. One of the most pressing issues to border security is illegal immigration. Not only is it a drain on the economy through entitlement programs but is a security concern because we just don t know who is coming across the border. As a country one solution is to cut off the incentive to illegally enter the country. Just the fact that you are very unlikely to be caught much less deported for entering illegally is reason enough to sneak across the border. Throw in the free medical, food stamps, housing assistance, and education along with the Holy Grail of potential amnesty leading to citizenship and it only makes sense that someone struggling in Latin American would do anything to get in. What we must work on is a working system for legal immigration not the system of limited work visas, exile requests and family reunification requests that we are working with now. We can also work with our neighbor to the south Mexico to continue to stem the flow of narcotics as well as working

The acquisition and maintenance of power has been the subject of human thought ever since the dawn of its existence. From Caesar s overthrow of the Roman Republic in the first century to Hitler s Third Reich in the twentieth century, history has repeatedly proven man s incessant hunger for power. In an attempt to curve this weakness of man, the authors of the United StatesConstitution included a Bill of Rights in 1789 that limited the power of the United States government over its citizens. This document, as remarkable as it is, has proven unable to restrain those in power from overstepping their bounds. The law gave the federal government power to imprison anyone who disagreed with them, such as the case of Marie Equi and Mollie Steimer. You can t make a good animated movie, or a good movie in general, without a good performance from the actors. Actors make their characters, and usually the whole movie. Which is exactly why I want to be an actor when i m older. The pay of an actor varies from person to person. The lowest pay per hour is usually about $8.79, for modeling/low budget projects. On the other hand, the highest pay per hour is nearly $90, an example being if it deals with big actors on small t.v shows. Usually, with movies and certain television shows, the mean pay is around $43.33. I would probably get paid the latter, because movies/t.v shows are what i m interested in. Erikson s developmental theory discusses the eight stages of life and the forces and values that arise at each stage, which should be developed within this frame. The attachment theoryfocuses on the interaction an individual has and the impact it may have on their psychological and social development. Both theories believe that personality begins to develop from a young age and therefore occurrences in early life can have lasting impacts on the developmental of an individual. An individual s social and psychological development is significantly influenced by early life and childhood experiences. The experiences an individual has as child impacts on the development of social skills, behaviours, morals and values of an individual. Erikson s theory, developed in 1963, supports the idea that early life experiences impact an individual across their lifespan. This theory considers that growth of an individual is a result of interaction with the environment, biological maturation and societal influences, therefore, allowing for experiences from early life, to influence an individual throughout their lifespan. Erikson s theory focuses on eight different developmental stages within a lifespan and in order to progress from one stage to another, an individual must overcome a potential crisis of two opposing forces at each
