controversial due to it being difficult to support the signature aspect of the therapy,
namely alternating eye movements as actually necessary to the treatment (McLay et

Dickens is seen in various locations that help to thread the novel together. When new
scenes are presented to the reader, we are often given explicit details of the characters
surrounding and current environment to draw us into that particular moment. The city
is mainly described in a more negative light, with words such as ugly and
monotonous. In contrast, the countryside (away from the hustle of the working
town) is portrayed in such a way that it feels like a pure or sacred space, free of the
blemishes of the working town. Dickens creates an underlying importance with how
he describes the city versus how he describes the countryside, being that the latter
becomes the place of death for one of the main characters Stephen Blackpool. The
city of Coketown is a town introduced as an uncompromising, brutal, and fearful
place defined by its work and industrialization. The description that we are given of
Coketown makes it clear that it is not a place of enjoyment, pleasure, or nature. It is

The Passionate Shepherd to His Love by Christopher Marlowe is a pastoral poem
published in 1599 where a man attempts to find companionship because he is lonely.
Marlowe creates a majestic rural world encompassed by natural beauty in which the
Shepherd attempts to court a presumably young woman. The Nymph s reply to the
Shepherd by Sir Walter Raleighwas written in response to The Passionate Shepherd
to His Love in 1600, one year after its publication. This Story takes place in the
same area as the previous poem but is now narrated by the Shepherds love interest
rather than the Shepherd himself. With both poems having different speakers insight
is gained into the thought process of both the Nymph and the Sheppard. Using this
information it can be ascertained that the Nymph and the Shappard are incompatible

In this movie titled On golden Pond it represents the lives of an old couple Norman
and Ethel as well as their family. As the movie progresses we are introduced to
their daughter as well as her new husband, Billy and Billy Ray Jr. who are all at
different developmental stages in Erickson s Psychological stages. Which the movie
and the actors do a superb job at showing information through their actions and as a
result makes it easier to determine what stage they are in.
To begin with the characters that are first introduced are Norman and Ethel. Who
are both getting towards the end of their lives because they are kind of old and are
done working. Which is the final stage of in Erickson s model called Integrity vs.

What is coming of age? In broadest terms, a transition from childhood to adulthood
defines coming of age, but how can a literary character grow up in a fifteen page
short story or even a 200 page graphic novel? The protagonist usually reaches an

contemplation without words. Two pieces at the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art in
Kansas City depict unique scenarios using lines, movement, balance, and value.
Capricorn by Max Ernst and Pokal by Balthasar Griessmann use organization of the
elements of form and principles of design to both narrate and describe intense
ideologies. While both pieces have similarities such as being sculptured in the round
and storytelling ability, the use of the elements and overall tones of the art works
give each piece a unique quality.
Max Ernst, a German artist born in the late 1890 s created Capricorn in 1948 using a
Bronze casting system. The sculpture depicts a royal family, consisting of a man, a

relationship and an unnatural authority relationship. A man, Grotius, denies that all
human power is established for the benefit of the governed, citing slavery as an
example. He says that the relationship between a ruler and his subjects resembles the
relationship between a father and his child because the ruler cares for his subjects.
Grotius is assuming natural superiority of rulers over the people they rule. Rousseau
disagrees with this argument. Rousseau states that the superiority that a ruler boasts
over his subjects is driven by force, not by nature. Rousseau is basically saying that
the ruler has unlimited rights over his subject merely because he forces them to be
obedient. Therefore, such political authority has no place in nature. In conclusion,
Rousseau argues that there is only one instance where natural authority occurs in

Jessie Owens, who was a famous African American sprinter, fought back against

medals, which disproved the idea that African Americans were unsuccessful

Ever long for the good ol days of music? If so, Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ) can take
you back to whenever those glory days might have been. Imagined and created by
Scott Bradlee, a trained jazz pianist, PMJ takes popular music from today or the
recent past and remakes it in all kinds of vintage genres, from 30 s jazz, to Motown,
to bluegrass hoedown. The group consists of around forty artists, many of whom are
classically trained, that put out weekly videos featuring any various combination of
them at a time. These videos are put up on their Youtube channel and regularly gain
millions of views each. Because of their internet inception, PMJ has bypassed the
existing music industryalmost entirely, and, in spite of that, has been able to remain
profitable through producing music. This is unique indeed, as even artists that sign

s method for achieving success outside of the traditional music industry, will look at
how their music fits in the broader landscape of popular music, and will show that
