Within this essay, I am going to argue that the simple soul is a more plausible conception than the idea
of multiplicity within the soul within Plato s work. This is due to the multiplicity of the soul resting on
a circular argument of Plato s ideal city which in turn rests back upon his idea of the tripartite soul.
However, it can also be argued that neither conceptions of the soul are plausible due to them both
relying on Plato s theory of the Forms. Throughout Plato s works of the Phaedo and the Republic, his
account for the soul is conflicting as Plato s two accounts cannot be reconciled. I will also refer to

You have to read 10 hours this week said my first grade teacher. In elementary school reading logs
were what all the teachers made us do. Every week I had to read a certain amount of hours. I however,
never read the amount of hours I was supposed too. I would just fill out the log and tell my mom to

Vermont and Pennsylvania both abolished slavery and in 1808 slaves importation was outlawed. In
response to the anti slavery movements the panic of 1819 occurred, being the first depression. Slavery
was in a major decline and there was commodity inflation. In 1823, US circuit courts declared
removal of inhuman treatment of slaves. In 1826, kidnapping is a felony which effectively nullified
fugitive slaves act, stopping all ability for slave owners to gain more slaves in the states, and
importation of slaves was already outlawed. This hurt the slave trade significantly and put the colonies
into the panic of 1837. There was a downturn in the economy, cotton prices fell, inflated food prices
and high unemployment all due to the downfall and outlawing of slavery. 1840, An African American
by the name of Charles Remond, refused to beat seated at world anti slavery convention because the

Throughout our history as a nation, we have earned a reputation of undermining the relationships we
have had with minorities and of largely neglecting their needs. Our almost hostile nature towards
minorities in the United States can largely be seen in the treatment of Mexicans and Mexican
American citizens in the times surrounding World War Two. Such hostilities are reflected in our
treatment of Mexican Americans in the late 19th after the Civil War and early 20th centuries, the
Sleepy Lagoon murder responses, and the Zoot Suit riots. My primary source reveals a feeling of
inferiority in the United States by the Mexican American youth due discrimination that they faced,
which can be better understood by analyzing the cultural contexts. As railroads expanded during the
United States western expansionist period in the late 19th century, Mexican immigration along with
Eastern migration grew in the west. Once the Mexican immigrants arrived, they largely occupied
commercial agriculture in large farms, mining industries, and the construction of railroads, but were

two ureters, two kidneys, the urethra, two sphincter muscles, and the bladder. This system in the
human body is primarily concerned with the filtering of extra fluid and substances from the
bloodstream in the form of urine. While urine is used to extract extra blood corpuscles, vitamins, or
mineral from the human body, it s a liquid created by the kidneys, gathered in the bladder, and filtered
