The Stresses that Come with Being a Nurse
Multiple studies over the past twenty plus years have looked at factors affecting the nurse s workday
and the effects it has on them. When an individual first enters a chosen career, he or she is driven. If
the work environment is not encouraging of the individual s efforts and concerns, the reality of the job
and the individual s prospects begin to deviate and frustration and disappointment happens. (Kerri,
2014) These feelings can bring about job displeasure, resulting in decreased efficiency, loss of
confidence and concentration, and behavior changes. If these circumstances are not addressed, stress
accumulates and causes typical stress related symptoms. The definite stressors within the work
environment that lead to stress and burnout can be different among occupations and between
individuals within an occupation. The starting place of burnout is in the work environment, but
because not every individuals working in a certain environment will experience burnout, personal risk
factors must have a role in putting the individual at risk for burnout. Therefore, personality is another
important factor to be considered.
Jennings (2010) found that: Neuroticism has been associated with exhaustion. External locus of
control has demonstrated a positive relationship with burnout and stress. Findings are mixed for
hardiness. Evaluations of anxiety reflect a link with stress and burnout. Anxiety is viewed as having
two components state anxiety, the temporary component which manifests

America And The Great War
America and the Great War At the turn of 19 20 centuries, capitalism has evolved into imperialism.
The world was almost completely divided between the major powers. Unbalance of economic and
socio political development of the countries increased. States, after others entered the path of capitalist
development (United States, Germany, Japan), quickly moved forward and pushed aside from global
markets old capitalist countries Great Britain and France, aggressively seeking redistribution of
colonies. The most acute contradictions have arisen between Germany and Great Britain, whose
interests were encountered in many areas of the globe, but especially in Africa, Asia and the Middle
East, where German imperialism mainly directed its trade and colonial expansion. Deep were
contradictions between Germany and France. Their sources were, on the one hand, the desire of
Germany to perpetuate Alsace and Lorraine, taken from France as a result of the Franco Prussian War
(1870 1871), and on the other, the determination of the French to return these areas (Audoin Rouzeau
Becker, 2002). French and German interests clashed in colonial question: France attempts to seize
Morocco met with strong opposition from Germany also applying for this territory. Since the late 19th
century Russian German conflict grew. The expansion of German imperialism in the Middle East, its
attempts to establish control over Turkey affected the economic, political and military strategic
interests of Russia.

Speech Language Pathological Analysis
As a Speech Language Pathologist it is important to be familiar with the functional and anatomic
organization of the nervous system. This helps facilitate a useful intervention program and
understanding the practical skills of the client (Bhatnagar, 2013). This is especially important with a
client who has experienced a brain lesion either due to stroke or traumatic brain injury. The
localization of the lesion, the stimulation mapping of specific neurons and pathways, laterality, and
understanding the functionality of each region of the brain can explain the manifestations of a
disorder. A client who is 65 years old and right handed demonstrates receptive aphasia manifestations
after a left posterior superior temporal gyrus and left inferior parietal lobe infarct. Knowledge about
the anatomy and function of the nervous system comes in handy to explain his characteristics. Given
that the client is right handed the laterality explains that his language is dominated by the left
hemisphere, which is where the lesion occurred. It is estimated that 90% or more of neurologically
normal right handers are left hemisphere dominant for language (Loring,et al., 1990). The middle
cerebral artery which circulates blood to the entire lateral surface of the brain especially the language
cortex was affected in this client during a stroke. (Bhatnagar, 2013). The brain is compartmentalized
into areas for processing specific ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Electronic Communications Privacy Act ( Ecpa )
Abstract
The Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) was a pretty progressive law at the time it was
enacted. It enhanced the privacy protection that was originally delineated in the Omnibus Crime
Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 by also adding communication protection for pagers, email, cell
phones, service providers, and computer transmissions. The ECPA addressed the legal privacy issues
that were surfacing with the rising use of networks, computers and other new innovations in electronic
communications. The first large computers had been built as early as the 1950s, with the first
development of a mass market microcomputer starting in 1977. The development of ARPANET in the
late 1960s and early 1970s would eventually lead to ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The ECPA safeguards electronic, oral, and wire communications during creation, in transit, in storage
and relates to electronic mail, phone conversations, and data that is stored electronically. The intended
purpose of the legislation is to reassure customers that their private information will remain secure
from public exposure. The ECPA includes three main provisions for communications privacy titled the
Wiretap Act, Stored Communications Act, and Pen Register Act.
Wiretap Act
The Wiretap Act has provisions that safeguard an individual s telephonic and computer based voice
communications from being captured, used or released by another individual. This Act prohibits the
listen in on and electronic bugging, the physical custody of bugging or tapping equipment, as well as
the use or disclosure of information unlawfully obtained from the use of said equipment. (Unknown,
2013). The Act also provides exceptions for service providers, in specific instances, and for law
enforcement to perform electronic eavesdropping, under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. It
affords processes for government entities to acquire judicial consent for obtaining such
communications, and controls the usage and release of this information acquired from legal
eavesdropping.
Stored Communications Act
The Stored Communications Act encompasses the rights of

Larkin Two Trees
How do Don Paterson and Phillip Larkin try to capture a message about life in their poems Two Trees
and The Trees?
In the two poems, Two Trees by Don Paterson and The Trees by Phillip Larkin, the poems explore life
and death through their seemingly black and white poems. In Two Trees , Paterson explores the
themes of creativity and perception while Larkin ponders the illusions of life and how things are
perceived. The messages in their poems can be seen in their contrasting uses of symbolism, imagery,
rhyme and metre, and structural form.
The two poems both make use of symbolism to convey their message to the reader. Two Trees shows
this through wordplay such as rooted in his head . Here the word rooted both means that he has an idea

Two Trees has a linear structure, in chronological order, to convey how easy it is to see things in
different lights. Likewise, the poem has a very strong connection to the number two, particularly due
to the rhyme and metre, but it also has two stanzas, each one showing a different point of view on the
trees and the dream that had them graft ed together. The poem also contains many enjambments,
which, like thoughts, continue onto the next line. In Don Miguel s stanza, they are carefree, like his
thoughts, but The Man s are more impartial, as if he couldn t care at all. The Man s stanza also seems
to speed up, with the enjambments rushing the stanza, almost as if, like him, the poem is hasty and
thoughtless, and rushes into things. Contrastingly, The Trees by Philip Larkin has a circular structure,
returning to the beginning each stanza and it also returns to the beginning of the poem at the end. It
mirrors itself, starting with life, then death, and ending with life. However, throughout it is becoming
softer; there are more vowels at the beginning, which makes the beginning sound harsher. Overall,
both poems use structure to express a message, but the overriding similarity is both poems ability to
mirror themselves in different

In The Twelfth Night Film Directed By Trevor Nunn, There
In the Twelfth Night film directed by Trevor Nunn, there are differences between the sequencing of
the scenes, lines of characters, and character stage directions/movements compared to the original
text. Directors use film adaptations to enhance the writer s intended meaning hidden in the original
text, however, Trevor Nunn altered the meaning of a Shakespearean comedy. Shakespearean comedies
are characterized as entertaining plays centered around a person of power, who delivers a statement of
harsh judgment and must make amends, and the comedies usually end in marriage. In Twelfth Night,
Orsino, the Duke of Illyria, passes harsh judgment towards Lady Olivia by telling his servant, Cesario,
to be clamorous and leap all civil bounds/ ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the scene, Orsino asks Feste to sing a song that dallies with the innocence of love (1212, l. 46) and
as Feste sings, Orsino and Viola slowly come together and eventually their lips touch as Feste s song
is ending. During this scene, Nunn upholds the comedic attributes of the play itself by adding in the
facial expressions of Feste as he sings his song and realizes what is happening; however, Nunn also
adds in the motion of Orsino and Cesario slowly coming together and kissing. The addition of Orsino
and Cesario s stage directions takes away from the overall comedic aspect of the play, and shifts into
an aspect of the play that is focused on love and romance. Nunn also provides an intimate setting to
the scene by placing the characters in a dimly lit shed. In the original text, Curio makes the comment
that Feste is about the house (1211), which suggests that Feste is situated in Orsino s home, however
in the film it is shown that he is located in a shed near a cliff overlooking the ocean. This change in the
setting from being in a house, to being cliff side overlooking the ocean creates a romantic setting for
the audience. Furthermore, the dim shed setting provides a sense of privacy and intimacy for the
audience and essentially sets the mood for the events that take place during Feste s song. To the
audience their kiss is a perfect addition because it soothes the romantic tension

The Renaissance And The Reformation
2 Corinthians 11:13 15 (NIV) For such people are false apostles, deceitful workers, masquerading as
apostles of Christ. 14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15It is not
surprising, then, if his servants also masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what
their actions deserve. The Renaissance and the Reformation was an era in time of rebirth for aspects in
life. Per our reading the term Renaissance is another name for rebirth. Renaissance is a term that
means re birth . The idea is that there was a re birth of classical Greco Roman cultural heritage into

The pope alone has the power, right, and full authority, extending beyond that of all councils, to call,
adjourn, and dissolve the councils. This is attested not only by the Holy Scriptures as well as the
statements of the Holy Fathers and our predecessors on the throne at Rome, but even the councils
themselves. These two examples that are provided proves that the church wanted full authority over
matters in the church as well as matters outside of the church because it was ordained by God. Two
historical critics of the Roman Catholic church during the late middle ages were John Wycliffe and
John Hus. Neither men were humanist, John Wycliffe was a professor who had strong views of the
pope. On the other hand, John Hus was a priest who also taught at University where he was introduced
to the teachings of John Wycliffe. John Wycliffe wanted to expose the Pope of his corruption that was
consuming him because John Wycliffe believed the power was too much for the pope.
I confess that the indulgences of the pope, if they are what they are said to be, are a manifest
blasphemy, inasmuch as he claims a power to save men almost without limit...This doctrine is a
manifold blasphemy against Christ, inasmuch as the pope is extolled above his humanity and

The crash of Polish Air Force Tu 154 transporting the Polish Delegation on 10 April 2010 on the
Russian Federation s Territory
Introductory Memorandum
Rapporteur: Mr Robert NEILL, United Kingdom, European Conservatives Group
1. Introduction
1. On the 10 April 2010, a Tupolev Tu 154M aircraft was carrying the Polish State delegation, led by
President Lech Kaczyński, to Smolensk Russia to attend a ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of
the Katyn Massacre. The plane crashed, killing all the 96 passengers on board. The fatalities included

4. This outcome was seen as controversial by Polish civil society groups, as well as some independent
governmental bodies and international observers, mostly because of the allegedly questionable manner
in which the investigation was conducted and the legal manoeuvrings that took place immediately
after the accident.
5. On 13 April 2010, Vladimir Putin, as the Head of the State Commission, delegated the general
supervision of the technical investigation to the Chairperson of the Interstate Aviation Committee (
IAC ). In addition, the decision was made to conduct the investigation of the crash in compliance with
Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation instead of by using the rules laid out in the
1993 Polish Russian Agreement that regulates military aviation in the airspace of both contracting
states.
6. Over five years have passed after the accident, and the Russian Federation still maintains possession
of the plane wreckage, the black boxes with original flight data recordings and other material
evidence.
2. Background Legislation
2.1 Choice of the governing legal regime
7. From a legal point of view the choice of juridical regime covering the investigations is complex and
leaves room for interpretation. Three days after the accident, the two state parties involved debated
which legal regime applies. The first obvious choice would have been the 1993 Polish Russian
Agreement, regulating military flights in the two

her home indicates that she is a part of the wealthy upper class. According to Judith Lorber, Because
white people are the superior group, white people do not have to do the dirty work , such as house
work; the most inferior group does it, usually poor women of color (Lorber 116). Lorber basically
sums the reason the assumption of why Sandy s mother has housecleaners. The difference of Sandy s
life style is mentioned when her mother comments on her appearance. Sandy s mother states, Sandy,

Second, a different number of matching criteria is used in each approach: six in Holland s theory (or
eight in Roe s, 1956) and 20 in the Theory of Work Adjustment. Third, each approach is especially
useful at a different stage of the career development process (Osipow, 1990): Interest theories have
typically been applied in the context of counseling and during the career decision making process, in
which the individual has to choose an occupation that fits him or her best, whereas the Theory of Work
Adjustment has been typically applied to the workplace itself, that is in choosing and adjusting to a
specific job (Gati et al. 1996). The orientation of the Theory of Work Adjustment toward specific jobs
is reflected in the inclusion of characteristics such as coworkers, supervisors, and company policies
and practices, which cannot typically be considered during the decision making process about what
occupation or training course to select (Gati et al. 1996). A reading of the P O fit literature indicates
that, in the course of its history, this literature initially focused more on organizational level outcomes,
such as organizational structure, culture, and effectiveness (Schneider et al., 2001), and later focused

salient challenges in today s business world. Managing organizational change properly can minimize
resistance from employees and cost of and maximize the effectiveness of the changes. In other words,
managing organizational change addresses the human side of the changing management. Personally, I

Competitions have also grown more fiercely in the society nowadays. To remain competitive,
companies are required to undergo changes.
Communicate, Communicate, Communicate
So how are some of the most important things an organizational leader can do to effectively manage
the company s culture in order to survive in the ever changing business landscape? One of the most
important thing a leader can do is to lead from the front and communicate with management team and
employees about how critical cultural change will affect a company s ability to sustain. Take the time
to communicate with the employees to ensure they now what is it their company is about and let them
know the process of getting to excellence. Communicating through any kind of medium is an
opportunity to reinforce the consistent message and vision to the employees and it s also a great way
to reach agreement on a common vision for a change.
Defining Your Unique Culture
Before communicating with the employees, however, a clear company culture must be determined by
the leader. Defining the company culture is not to put a few buzzword such as innovation or active but
to really understand the business and determine how to manifest the company realistically. A great
company culture might be just as motivational to the employees as the name of the company or the
salary. That being said, the company culture plays a major role in retaining the employees who may

The man who exited the house went by the name of Strieff, who the detective decided to stop and

United States (1963) the Supreme Court found that the evidence obtained following unlawful police
conduct may still be admissible, unless the evidence was not come about in a way of poor conduct.
However, this was found excusable if the evidence acquired post the rest was irrelevant to the police
conduct. In this case, Wong Sun wrote an unsigned confession, which was established to not be the
fruit of the arrest. Therefore, the confession then was eligible to be used in trial. Toy, another man
under the suspicion of narcotics, was arrested under an unlawful warrant. The man was searched by an
unlawful warrant, this action becomes the fruit of the arrest. Hence, this was not permitted to be used
in court as incriminating evidence. Similarly, in Utah v. Strieff, Strieff was arrested for a traffic
warrant, which was found through an unlawful stop. Subsequently, this issued the search of Strieff s
person. The precedent case demonstrates that the original arrest was for the traffic warrant, this causes
the warrant to be the fruit of the arrest. The search proceeding the arrest, found evidence that is not the
fruit of the arrest, and the exclusionary rule would be exempted. Strieff argued that the unlawful stop
was flagrant conduct, due to the Detective not having reasonable suspicion. However, due to the fact
that this was a high crime neighborhood, nearly seventy five percent of those who resided in the area,
had an outstanding warrant. With the knowledge of this fact, Fackrell had a motive to make unlawful
stops. Were most likely there would be evidence to support his reason for the stop. Which leads to

The Strength of an Electromagnet Essay
The Strength of an Electromagnet
Introduction:
[IMAGE]An electric current flowing through a wire produces a magnetic field. Coiling the wire
produces a stronger magnetic field. Coiling it around a soft iron core increases the strength effect;
raising the current or the number of coils increases it further.
I am going to investigate the raising of the current and how it affects an electromagnet.
I think the electromagnet will produce a stronger magnetic filed and pick up more iron fillings.
Aim:
To investigate factors which affect the strength of the electromagnet and make the strongest
electromagnet possible.
Apparatus:
· Iron Rod
· Leads
· Power Pack ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The higher the voltage means the size of current will increase too. The stronger the magnetic field, the
more filings will be attracted by the electromagnet. When the coils will be evenly spread across the
rod, the current across the rod and the magnetic field will be even.
Method:
The apparatus will be set up to form a circuit, as below:
I will use an iron rod and make (5) coils around the rod with a piece of wire. They will be spread as
evenly as possible across the rod. The ends of the wire will then be connected to the circuit with
crocodile clips. The voltage on the power pack will be turned onto 0.5 amps. As this is the ampere
reading from the power pack, it may not be exactly 0.5A, which is why a voltmeter has been added so
the actual number of amps could be measured each time. This will also be written in the results table.
When the current is switched on, I will hold the rod from one end and put the other end into a beaker
full of iron filings, allowing it to pick up as many filings as possible. The mass of the nails picked up
will be weighed on an electronic scale and recorded. This will be repeated 2 times so a precise average
can be taken. The same experiment will be carried out, increasing the voltage by 0.5 amps each time,
up to 7 amps. All of these will be written to 1 decimal point.

Mlk Letter To Birmingham Jail
In the 1960 s Birmingham, Alabama was a much different place. Strict segregation laws caused anger
among the African American citizens of Birmingham, along with most people of America. Many
nonviolent protestors were arrested and put in jail, cramming 60 people in a jail cell, which was meant
to hold 10 people. Martin Luther King Jr. tried to stop segregation and even went to jail due to a
nonviolent campaign. While he was in jail, he received a letter from the minsters of Birmingham
claiming his campaigns and demonstrations were unwise. King wrote the Letter From Birmingham
Jail as a peaceful response. Martin Luther King Jr. uses logical appeal to catch the attention of the
ministers of Birmingham. First, King uses multiple examples of violent figures in his letter, such as
Adolf Hitler. King explains, at the time, Hitler s actions were considered legal , much like the
segregation laws in Birmingham. Discrimination against African American s was considered legal at

multiple times. This was meant to appeal to the ministers of Birmingham because religion is truthful
and meaningful, especially to ministers. The ministers said King was an extremist, King responded by
saying Was not Jesus an extremist in love? The ministers knew this was a fact and could not be denied
because Jesus was an extremist for a good thing. King also mentions St. Paul, a disciple of Jesus
Christ. One time, King mentions Paul by reminding the ministers of his devotion to Jesus by leaving
his village of Tarsus to spread Christianity. King relates this to his own life; this is because he is
compelled to spread freedom to the people of the world, just like Paul was compelled to spread
Christianity. Once again, King did this because the ministers could not deny this

Audience s Perceptions of Malvolio
Malvolio is Olivia s administrator. He is the one and only character in this play who ever seems to be
making a mindful effort to be honest but also the only one of the household who shows no genuine
like towards fellow workers and masters. This immediately tells us that people are going to dislike
him and, in a way try to get back at him. On the other hand, he is the only effective and with no doubt
devoted employee. As a steward his main job is to manage Olivia s household and arrange certain
affairs. Malvolio s intentions are to run an orderly house and keep Olivia in happiness, this being out
of common affection and of course duty to both. Although he is a ... Show more content on

Malvolio begins by rudely shouting at the group. He shows respect by using my masters but then
quickly turns this around by shouting and insulting them. He asks many questions but waits for no
answers, he carries on,
Do ye make an alehouse of my lady s house, that ye squeak out your coziers catches without any
mitigation or remorse of voice? Is there no respect of place, persons, nor time in you? Act 2 Scene 3
Lines 77 79
Malvolio then continues to abuse the group. He uses his puritanical outlook on life, contrasting to that
of the others in the room and wants to run the household strictly under routine. He completely objects
to the troop singing and dancing around in a house he is trying to control. Throughout the play we
never see a smile on his face. This nonetheless, is merely a disguise that he assumes, that allows him
to pass judgment on others. Sir Toby mocks Malvolio, who threatens them all with reprisals and
leaves. Maria has had enough of Malvolios rude behaviour so she decides to get revenge by writing
love letters to Malvolio in Olivia s handwriting. The letter written by Maria in Olivia s hand refers
subliminally to each of Malvolio s character weaknesses and consequently ensures that he is fooled by

Epicurus On Fear
Fearing the eternal sleep
When people think about the possibility of death, pain is the most commonly thing that comes to their
mind. For many people they have asked the question what is death to us. Some have stated that it is
not something to fear because it is annihilation and no one can experience death. While other people
have claimed that death is bad because it takes one from all the good in life. I believe death is
something to be feared because it brings many bad experiences to people.
First of all some people have determined that death is not something to be fear. One such famous
philosopher is Epicurus and he claims that death is not bad. One statement made by Epicurus is that
death is not bad, it is the dying part that is bad.

For the purpose of this study, empirical data is obtained from a retail store at Kukusan, Depok. A three
months transactional data of the retail s costumers was obtained and processed using WEKA (Waikato
Environment for Knowledge Analysis) [3]. The products which were studied in this research consist of
704 products. These products then classified as more specific categories (i.e., 25 categories) and listed
in Table 1. The main objective of the classification was to discover a more detail of customers
shopping patterns. Another objective was to avoid bias in the data processing. The first step was to
choose which transactions to be included in this study. We sorted and selected transactions that had
two or more product categories, which consist of 1049 transactions. These transactions were then
converted to ARFF format [4]. WEKA expects the data to be in ARFF format, therefore it is necessary

The man then suddenly glistened with joy as he thought his efforts bore fruition. The joy was short
lived however as The Shadow began to speak with a thunderous voice and said, you have become the
embodiment of the crass blob like creature that tried to kill you once. You are now a creature of the
night as your heart is foul and forever wretched. And just as The Shadow said his final word he melted
into the shadows and back into the shadowy dominion in which he reigned. The man apparently took
no heed to The Shadow s words as all of the guilt and regret he had felt earlier had just washed away
like a shell on the sand of a shore. He laughed hysterically and madly as he planned to meet The
Shadow once again and again. The Shadow now aware of the man s sinister future efforts decided to
take matters into his own hands. He arose once more from the shadows and confronted the man just as
he was about to reach for the door handle which led outside and towards his next victim. The Shadow
thunderously said I have vowed to never harm or kill a human being, however you are no longer
human and must be stopped. I regret saving your life. The Shadow then proceeded to raise both of his
hands and grip the man s neck with enough force to easily break his neck and drop his already soulless
body onto the hardwood floor. After that incident The Shadow hasn t mentally been the same and is
now referred among the darkness and its abominations as the Grim

Security in the Middle East

This Essay will attempt to evaluate and discuss the belief that the USA and Europe needs a stable Iran
to promote security in the Middle East, but not a nuclear Iran. Firstly, this essay will address Iran s
current status and role in the Middle East, and how Iran is rising to become a regional power. It will
explore the current Iranian regime, and address how politics and policy are being influenced, under the
Ayatollah s leadership. It will also address how radical Islam is currently growing in the Middle East,
how religion has come to the forefront of politics, and what that means for the West. Secondly, this
essay will offer some thoughts on the dangers of a nuclear Iran, which could either create greater
insecurity, due to Iran s motives and objectives for wanting to acquire them, or it could offer possible
benefits of balancing power with Israel, as well as potential benefits for Iran, in pursuing nuclear
development for peaceful means. It will also give a brief history on Iran s stance and support for
terrorism, whether that be through economic means, or giving terrorists a safe haven, and how this
could be a threat if Iran continues to pursue nuclear weapons. Thirdly, this essay will explore the U.S.
and Europe s perspective on Iran s role in the Middle East, and why they do not want to see a

The Truth About Human Papillomavirus
The Truth about Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
HPV is the most common sexually transmitted infection in the United States and around the world
(The Children s Hospital of Philadelphia [CHP], 2009). Today, parents vaccinate their children
because vaccinations are recommended by the child s pediatrician and most importantly vaccinations
are required for the children to attend school. When a new vaccine becomes available parents are
becoming reluctant to get the vaccination for their child fearing negative results brought by myths,
rumors, and the uneducated. The HPV vaccination is not required to attend school, so most parents
will not follow up to get all the shots necessary in order to protect their child. HPV is a disease that
currently has no cure and can help be prevented by vaccinating your child before they become
sexually active.
Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is a sexually transmitted virus that spreads from person to person by
direct contact of infected tissue. According to the CDC, nearly all men and women will contract HPV
at some point in their life (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC], 2013). HPV can cause
cervical, vaginal and vulvar cancers in females. HPV can also cause anal, throat, and neck cancer in
both males and females. HPV is also known to cause genital warts in both males and females.
According to the National Cancer Institute (2013), approximately 12,340 new cases of cervical cancer
will be diagnosed in the US, and 4,030 US women will die

Transformational Leadership Is Developing And Transforming...
As discussed in the text, transformational leadership is characteristic of a leader that helps bring about
major, positive changes by moving group members beyond their self interests and toward the good of
the group, organization, or society. The essence of transformational leadership is developing and
transforming people (Dubrin) . A perfect portrayal of this leadership style is Walt Disney. Walt Disney
transformed the hearts and minds by setting forth a visionary reality. Walt knew that by taking his
visionary strengths and working with his brother to complement each other s strengths that they would
be able to foster a group of followers and visionary leaders working with them. Walt led with four key
tenants: Chase your dream, believe ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The second characteristic is enthusiasm. Walt motivated his employees and encouraged them to
inspire achievement. An enthusiastic leader keeps the employees engaged and more likely to keep
them of a positive mindset.
The third characteristic is confidence. Disney is famous for his quote It takes people to make the
dream a reality . Disney was confident in his ideals and his vision, and he was confident in the people
he had working with him to make it happen. He worked hard to instill that confidence in those people
around him. It takes true confidence in oneself to feel connected to and truly engaged because not only
do you know that those around you believe in you, but most importantly that you believe in you.
When a leader is confident those that work under that leader are more likely to perform better because
they are assured of a confident future.
The fourth characteristic is courage. Disney historian Craig Hodgkins said of Walt that he was
completely focused on his product and his goals, not on himself (ISU). By being able to do this, the
leader s energy is honed into the mission and not reflective of how one looks or appears and
exclusively about the brand.
The fifth characteristic is persistence. The things that are worthwhile are hard work. Walt understood
this and was persistent to the end. He set out to finish what he started. This is an extremely important

still manages to entertain the reader and capture his or her attention. This riveting narrative describes
pretty much everything you need to know about HIV and AIDS. The ideas behind this compelling
work were collectively put together and written by an award winning AIDS researcher named Daniel
Halperin and his coauthor, a Johannesburg Washington Post reporter, Craig Timberg. This exciting

Daniel Halperin and Craig Timberg witnessed some of the deadly fates of AIDS victims in Africa
unfold and they write about those victim s lives as well as their deaths. This book shares a few stories
of individuals who suffered from the disease and somehow miraculously managed to overcome it and
prolong their lives with normal good health after taking antiretroviral drugs or ARVs; whereas others
in the same situation battled against AIDS for years, hopelessly trying to fight it off while their health
suffered due to the complete eventual collapse and failure of their immune system and its inability to
fend for dear life ;a tragic death seemed utterly inevitable.
This book talks about how recent genetic evidence form new discoveries have traced the birth of
AIDS to being rooted in the southeastern forests of Cameroon in Africa, where chimpanzees had a
very similar strain of Human Immunodeficiency Virus in their blood. They carried this simian
immunodeficiency virus for hundreds of years without creating any major, large scale outbreak in
humans. The birth origin story of HIV may have been happened sometime around 1880 to 1920.
TImberg and Halperin discuss that the birth of HIV most likely occurred when a European hunter

Model T Ford Research Paper
Well to start off my Model T Ford was created and invented by Henry Ford. Henry Ford was born July
30, 1863, on his family s farm in Dearborn, Michigan. His product had influenced the lives of
Americans because it had created a new to get to places. Now people don t have to walk, use a horse,
or even use a steamboat. Many people couldn t afford the Model T because it was a lot of money back
then, the cost of a brand new Model T is $650.00. It had also created a new way of producing of
different products, the assembly line. An assembly line is when a series of workers and machines in a
factory by which a succession of identical items is progressively assembled. The Model T created
mobility and prosperity on an undreamed of scale through manufacturing efficiencies at a price that
anyone could afford. It is all because of the Model T we have a more efficient and faster way of
producing items. Now we don t see many Model T Fords around driving, but there are a handful of in
car shows.
Now in everyday life we really don t see that many Model Ts around. This is so because now they are
more in car shows instead of the road, only 15 million were built and 200,000 still exist till this day. If
you were to buy a Model T today they would go around from $10,000 to about $40,000, I ... Show

  • 2. The Stresses that Come with Being a Nurse Multiple studies over the past twenty plus years have looked at factors affecting the nurse s workday and the effects it has on them. When an individual first enters a chosen career, he or she is driven. If the work environment is not encouraging of the individual s efforts and concerns, the reality of the job and the individual s prospects begin to deviate and frustration and disappointment happens. (Kerri, 2014) These feelings can bring about job displeasure, resulting in decreased efficiency, loss of confidence and concentration, and behavior changes. If these circumstances are not addressed, stress accumulates and causes typical stress related symptoms. The definite stressors within the work environment that lead to stress and burnout can be different among occupations and between individuals within an occupation. The starting place of burnout is in the work environment, but because not every individuals working in a certain environment will experience burnout, personal risk factors must have a role in putting the individual at risk for burnout. Therefore, personality is another important factor to be considered. Jennings (2010) found that: Neuroticism has been associated with exhaustion. External locus of control has demonstrated a positive relationship with burnout and stress. Findings are mixed for hardiness. Evaluations of anxiety reflect a link with stress and burnout. Anxiety is viewed as having two components state anxiety, the temporary component which manifests ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. America And The Great War America and the Great War At the turn of 19 20 centuries, capitalism has evolved into imperialism. The world was almost completely divided between the major powers. Unbalance of economic and socio political development of the countries increased. States, after others entered the path of capitalist development (United States, Germany, Japan), quickly moved forward and pushed aside from global markets old capitalist countries Great Britain and France, aggressively seeking redistribution of colonies. The most acute contradictions have arisen between Germany and Great Britain, whose interests were encountered in many areas of the globe, but especially in Africa, Asia and the Middle East, where German imperialism mainly directed its trade and colonial expansion. Deep were contradictions between Germany and France. Their sources were, on the one hand, the desire of Germany to perpetuate Alsace and Lorraine, taken from France as a result of the Franco Prussian War (1870 1871), and on the other, the determination of the French to return these areas (Audoin Rouzeau Becker, 2002). French and German interests clashed in colonial question: France attempts to seize Morocco met with strong opposition from Germany also applying for this territory. Since the late 19th century Russian German conflict grew. The expansion of German imperialism in the Middle East, its attempts to establish control over Turkey affected the economic, political and military strategic interests of Russia. ... • 4. Speech Language Pathological Analysis As a Speech Language Pathologist it is important to be familiar with the functional and anatomic organization of the nervous system. This helps facilitate a useful intervention program and understanding the practical skills of the client (Bhatnagar, 2013). This is especially important with a client who has experienced a brain lesion either due to stroke or traumatic brain injury. The localization of the lesion, the stimulation mapping of specific neurons and pathways, laterality, and understanding the functionality of each region of the brain can explain the manifestations of a disorder. A client who is 65 years old and right handed demonstrates receptive aphasia manifestations after a left posterior superior temporal gyrus and left inferior parietal lobe infarct. Knowledge about the anatomy and function of the nervous system comes in handy to explain his characteristics. Given that the client is right handed the laterality explains that his language is dominated by the left hemisphere, which is where the lesion occurred. It is estimated that 90% or more of neurologically normal right handers are left hemisphere dominant for language (Loring,et al., 1990). The middle cerebral artery which circulates blood to the entire lateral surface of the brain especially the language cortex was affected in this client during a stroke. (Bhatnagar, 2013). • 5. Electronic Communications Privacy Act ( Ecpa ) Abstract The Electronic Communications Privacy Act (ECPA) was a pretty progressive law at the time it was enacted. It enhanced the privacy protection that was originally delineated in the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 by also adding communication protection for pagers, email, cell phones, service providers, and computer transmissions. The ECPA addressed the legal privacy issues that were surfacing with the rising use of networks, computers and other new innovations in electronic communications. The first large computers had been built as early as the 1950s, with the first development of a mass market microcomputer starting in 1977. Wiretap Act The Wiretap Act has provisions that safeguard an individual s telephonic and computer based voice communications from being captured, used or released by another individual. This Act prohibits the listen in on and electronic bugging, the physical custody of bugging or tapping equipment, as well as the use or disclosure of information unlawfully obtained from the use of said equipment. The Act also provides exceptions for service providers, in specific instances, and for law enforcement to perform electronic eavesdropping, under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act. • 6. Larkin Two Trees How do Don Paterson and Phillip Larkin try to capture a message about life in their poems Two Trees and The Trees? In the two poems, Two Trees by Don Paterson and The Trees by Phillip Larkin, the poems explore life and death through their seemingly black and white poems. In Two Trees , Paterson explores the themes of creativity and perception while Larkin ponders the illusions of life and how things are perceived. The messages in their poems can be seen in their contrasting uses of symbolism, imagery, rhyme and metre, and structural form. The two poems both make use of symbolism to convey their message to the reader. Two Trees shows this through wordplay such as rooted in his head . Here the word rooted both means that he has an idea ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Two Trees has a linear structure, in chronological order, to convey how easy it is to see things in different lights. Likewise, the poem has a very strong connection to the number two, particularly due to the rhyme and metre, but it also has two stanzas, each one showing a different point of view on the trees and the dream that had them graft ed together. The poem also contains many enjambments, which, like thoughts, continue onto the next line. In Don Miguel s stanza, they are carefree, like his thoughts, but The Man s are more impartial, as if he couldn t care at all. The Man s stanza also seems to speed up, with the enjambments rushing the stanza, almost as if, like him, the poem is hasty and thoughtless, and rushes into things. Contrastingly, The Trees by Philip Larkin has a circular structure, returning to the beginning each stanza and it also returns to the beginning of the poem at the end. It mirrors itself, starting with life, then death, and ending with life. However, throughout it is becoming softer; there are more vowels at the beginning, which makes the beginning sound harsher. Overall, both poems use structure to express a message, but the overriding similarity is both poems ability to mirror themselves in different ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 7. In The Twelfth Night Film Directed By Trevor Nunn, There In the Twelfth Night film directed by Trevor Nunn, there are differences between the sequencing of the scenes, lines of characters, and character stage directions/movements compared to the original text. Directors use film adaptations to enhance the writer s intended meaning hidden in the original text, however, Trevor Nunn altered the meaning of a Shakespearean comedy. Shakespearean comedies are characterized as entertaining plays centered around a person of power, who delivers a statement of harsh judgment and must make amends, and the comedies usually end in marriage. In Twelfth Night, Orsino, the Duke of Illyria, passes harsh judgment towards Lady Olivia by telling his servant, Cesario, to be clamorous and leap all civil bounds/ ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the scene, Orsino asks Feste to sing a song that dallies with the innocence of love (1212, l. 46) and as Feste sings, Orsino and Viola slowly come together and eventually their lips touch as Feste s song is ending. During this scene, Nunn upholds the comedic attributes of the play itself by adding in the facial expressions of Feste as he sings his song and realizes what is happening; however, Nunn also adds in the motion of Orsino and Cesario slowly coming together and kissing. The addition of Orsino and Cesario s stage directions takes away from the overall comedic aspect of the play, and shifts into an aspect of the play that is focused on love and romance. Nunn also provides an intimate setting to the scene by placing the characters in a dimly lit shed. In the original text, Curio makes the comment that Feste is about the house (1211), which suggests that Feste is situated in Orsino s home, however in the film it is shown that he is located in a shed near a cliff overlooking the ocean. This change in the setting from being in a house, to being cliff side overlooking the ocean creates a romantic setting for the audience. Furthermore, the dim shed setting provides a sense of privacy and intimacy for the audience and essentially sets the mood for the events that take place during Feste s song. To the audience their kiss is a perfect addition because it soothes the romantic tension ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The orientation of the Theory of Work Adjustment toward specific jobs is reflected in the inclusion of characteristics such as coworkers, supervisors, and company policies and practices, which cannot typically be considered during the decision making process about what occupation or training course to select (Gati et al. 1996). In this case, Wong Sun wrote an unsigned confession, which was established to not be the fruit of the arrest. Therefore, the confession then was eligible to be used in trial. Toy, another man under the suspicion of narcotics, was arrested under an unlawful warrant. The man was searched by an unlawful warrant, this action becomes the fruit of the arrest. I am going to investigate the raising of the current and how it affects an electromagnet. I think the electromagnet will produce a stronger magnetic filed and pick up more iron fillings. Aim: To investigate factors which affect the strength of the electromagnet and make the strongest electromagnet possible. Apparatus: · Iron Rod · Leads · Power Pack ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The higher the voltage means the size of current will increase too. The stronger the magnetic field, the more filings will be attracted by the electromagnet. When the coils will be evenly spread across the rod, the current across the rod and the magnetic field will be even. Method: The apparatus will be set up to form a circuit, as below: I will use an iron rod and make (5) coils around the rod with a piece of wire. They will be spread as evenly as possible across the rod. The ends of the wire will then be connected to the circuit with crocodile clips. The voltage on the power pack will be turned onto 0.5 amps. As this is the ampere reading from the power pack, it may not be exactly 0.5A, which is why a voltmeter has been added so the actual number of amps could be measured each time. This will also be written in the results table. When the current is switched on, I will hold the rod from one end and put the other end into a beaker full of iron filings, allowing it to pick up as many filings as possible. The mass of the nails picked up

Strict segregation laws caused anger among the African American citizens of Birmingham, along with most people of America. Many nonviolent protestors were arrested and put in jail, cramming 60 people in a jail cell, which was meant to hold 10 people. Martin Luther King Jr. tried to stop segregation and even went to jail due to a nonviolent campaign. While he was in jail, he received a letter from the minsters of Birmingham claiming his campaigns and demonstrations were unwise. King wrote the Letter From Birmingham Jail as a peaceful response. Martin Luther King Jr. uses logical appeal to catch the attention of the ministers of Birmingham. First, King uses multiple examples of violent figures in his letter, such as Adolf Hitler. King explains, at the time, Hitler s actions were considered legal , much like the segregation laws in Birmingham. The ministers knew this was a fact and could not be denied because Jesus was an extremist for a good thing. King also mentions St. Paul, a disciple of Jesus Christ. One time, King mentions Paul by reminding the ministers of his devotion to Jesus by leaving his village of Tarsus to spread Christianity. Disney was confident in his ideals and his vision, and he was confident in the people he had working with him to make it happen. He worked hard to instill that confidence in those people around him. Disney historian Craig Hodgkins said of Walt that he was completely focused on his product and his goals, not on himself (ISU). By being able to do this, the leader s energy is honed into the mission and not reflective of how one looks or appears and exclusively about the brand. The fifth characteristic is persistence.
