How Cloud And Its Effects On The Future Model
Abstract: Introduction: Distributed Computing has developed as an issue prevailing ideal model,

As an issue for the Internet, the cloud is a recognizable prosaism, yet when joined with figuring, the
importance gets greater and fuzzier. A few investigators and sellers characterize distributed computing
barely as a redesigned adaptation of utility processing: fundamentally virtual servers accessible over
the Internet. Others go extremely wide, contending anything you expend outside the firewall is in the
cloud, including ordinary outsourcing. Cloud figuring comes into concentrate just when you ponder
what IT generally needs: an approach to build limit or include capacities the fly without putting
resources into new base, preparing new work force, or permitting new programming. Distributed
computing envelops any membership based or pay for every utilization benefit that, continuously over
the Internet, develops IT s current capacities. Distributed computing is at an early stage, with a diverse
group of suppliers expansive and little conveying a large number of cloud based administrations, from

a piece of the mix, yet so are Saas (programming as an issue) suppliers, for example, Salesforce.com.
Today, generally, IT must attachment into cloud based administrations independently, however
distributed computing aggregators and integrators are now developing. Infoworld conversed with

Environmental Impacts Of Environmental Disasters
Introduction Environmental damage that is caused by just one individual is exclusively minor which
causes it to be unnoticed, whereas a major group of people, such as a large corporation harming the
environment at once causes major harm to society. More than a century of industrial development has
caused negative environmental impacts such as global warming, ozone depletion, and air and water
pollution. These are recognized as global environmental problems that need immediate solutions.
Climate change, as an international environmental issue, is getting a great deal of attention as it has
become a global issue. In the last few decades, there has been a heightened awareness of
environmental issues by governments, policy makers, advocacy groups, business firms, and the public
all over the world. The corporate role in this, the potentially most severe and all encompassing of
environmental disasters, is quite clear as business activities are effecting climate change negatively.
This paper will argue that in order to minimize the negative effect of environmental harm and climate
change, the undertakings of corporations should be structured and encouraged to perform in a socially
responsible manner. This will be examined through the discussion on the legal structure of
corporations and the desire of regulators and victims looking to hold them accountable for their
environmental harm. It will be followed with a description of the importance of corporate social
responsibility. This

Despicable Me Evaluation
Despicable Me Evaluation Essay
The most dark, evil, and twisted individual does not always stay the bad guy and can sometimes have
a heart of gold deep down inside. It has been proven by character, Felonius Gru in the movie
Despicable Me. It is an American 3 D animated children s movie released in July 2010 (Whitlock,
2013). In the film, Gru is portrayed as a selfish villain focused on taking fun and happiness out of
everyone s lives. Against his mother s wishes, his childhood dream has been to steal the moon. With
the help of Gru s yellow minion workers, high tech gadgets and vehicles nothing will stand in his way
of accomplishing the most heinous crime ever, including another villain. During a moment of defeat,
Gru adopts three orphaned girls to bring down the defense of his opponent. While using them for self

The minions are fun to look at because they are bright yellow, cheerful, playful, have lots of energy,
and they do not look identical but are similar, for instance, their eyes. Sometimes the minions are easy
to understand but mostly they communicate through action and laughter at each other. The minions
cause trouble and annoy each other as children would do like pulling the others glasses so it would
snap back hard against their face, clumsily shooting a gun into a crowd of other minions, and
hysterically laughing at a meaningless object. Also, the three girls, Agnes, Margo, and Edith are
relatable to children because their actions and language are similar to the ages of children that are
most likely going to be sitting in the movie theater. And they clearly wanted what most children want
from their parents: love and support. For example, Gru missed their first dance recital but made up for
it by showing his support for their second

The Debate On Marriage And Parenting Rights For Gay And
The debate on marriage and parenting rights for gay and lesbian individuals has been one of the most
hotly contested social issues in recent history. While many arguments are cited to prevent gay couples
from enjoying equality, these arguments ultimately condense to concerns rooted in homophobia.
Opponents of the LGBT community contend that same sex parenting contradicts the natural order of
the world, subjects children to unnecessary societal stigma, and that the state has a right to favor
heterosexual norms. However, these concerns are either unfounded or unjustly infringe on the rights of
gay and lesbian couples. Consequently, there is no reason to prohibit gay or lesbian couples from
obtaining custody of children. Proponents of the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore, it is unjust to use the same argument to prevent gay couples from adopting. Skeptics of gay
and lesbian parents also raise the concern that the children of same sex couples would be subject to
stigma from society. They argue that gay parents should not be granted custody rights because their
children would be subject to unnecessary ridicule by their peers. In short, their position is that children
should not be placed into harsh conditions simply due to their parents sexual behavior. While the well
being of the child is an important concern in custody matters, stigma that exists within society must
not be written into law. Bigotry is an unfortunate component of human nature, and it will likely never
be erased completely. The law cannot control these biases, but it should not be influenced by the
fleeting passions of the time. If the law gives biases that exist within society legitimacy, they will
merely be reinforced for generations. Furthermore, a primary purpose of law is to serve as a guardian
of the minority rights. Basic rights must be enshrined in law so that they are insulated from tyrannical
majorities that might act with malice toward a minority group. Preventing gay couples from adopting
because society holds a bias against them unjustly sacrifices a crucial liberty for homosexuals. The
Supreme Court has ruled that racial stigma cannot have an influence

Coaches Have Talent And Dedication Essay
So many Coaches have talent and dedication for what they do. I m proud to play for one that has a
spectacular history of coaching. That coach is Dennis Lorio, who Graduated from LSU (Louisiana
State University) with an economic degree and played baseball. I love the intensity and the
relationship in football Coach Lorio explaining with a passionate expression. I can see it in his eyes
that he is very dedicated and hardworking coach. As of now he is 62 years old and still willing to
coach. It s not the same without coaching. The joy and the sorrow I feel during the season has been
addicted to me. I ve been in this game almost all my life and that is a very long time.
From the article of Sports Nola, Nick Kreugar wrote about Dennis Lorio:
He was offensive coordinator at East St. John for the past two years, but resigned for family reasons
last October. He is well known for his time at Thibodaux and led them to the inaugural 5A state
championship in 1991. Lorio also spent time as LSU offensive line coach from 1992 94 and returned
to Thibodaux in 2008 leading the Tigers to a 27 12 record with 5A state quarterfinal playoff runs in
2008 and 2009. He has a career coaching record of 105 70.
Even tough he lives in New Orleans, he drives an hour for his work every day. In 2013, Coach Lorio
took a challenge by coaching the Morgan City Tigers after he resigned from Thibodaux. He came to to
Morgan City knowing that Morgan city never made it to the playoff over a decade. He has seen

Graeson Descriptive Writing
A cool, fall, light, Oklahoma breeze blows through the trees. The sound of rustling leaves, and the
cheerful chatter of my friends, fills my ears. My rainbow colored hoodie is wrapped around me.
People canoeing on the lake call my name, Graeson! They say, I smile and wave in their direction. I
wonder if they can see me from my spot behind the trees and poles. All of the sudden the person in
front of me in line steps up to the ladder. One of the people working at New Life Ranch tightens the
helmet on the kid s head. Then they attach a metal cable to his harness attached with a metal buckle.

pulling me up goes over to cheer her on, I walk over to the ladder, to be strapped and buckled in.
The monster stayed in my throat, but now, as I am getting buckled in and a helmet clamped on my
head, it grows bigger. My heartbeat starts racing as cords are tugged on.
My fear of heights hasn t bothered me and this far in 12 years of life it really hasn t, but now it does. I

Usually I put my foot up against the rollercoaster car or the seat in front of me to give me leverage.
Not today, today there are no seats, just a cord. Keeping my attached and kept safe, not to be safe, but

DLK DBQ
DLK DBQ The Fourth Amendment is one of the most important in America. In that of a case of a man
under the nickname DLK, this amendment comes into question. Police searched his home with a
thermal imager for traces of marijuana plants. Since marijuana plants need a high amount of heat, it
would be easily detected with this thermal imager. Could this search be deemed constitutional? The
DLK case was ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. The government invaded DLK s privacy
and ignored his Fourth Amendment rights. Proper evidence should be needed to search or investigate

The thermal imager detected heat radiating from the exterior of petitioner s house, and it did not

did invade his privacy by detecting information that is not necessarily public. The court made the right
decision in deeming the case constitutional. [In this case,] the government uses a device that is not in

The Schiavos, Rule Utilitarianism, and Kantian Ethics Essay

The Schiavos, Rule Utilitarianism, and Kantian Ethics
The case of The Schiavos is focused primarily on one member of the family, which is Terri Schiavo.
Terri had been in a coma for 13 years. Although, no one is completely sure what happened but the best
guess is she suffered a heart attack (Pierce, 64) presumably caused by her bulimia. Due to the severity
of her heart attack, it left Terri with severe brain damaged which in turn left her in a persistent
vegetative state which leaves a person showing no awareness of one s environment. Terri s husband,
Michael Schiavo, contended that there was no hope for Terri to recover and that he felt it was his wife

Utilitarian s try to separate the action from the actor, and look at the bigger picture over the individual.
Followers of Kant, disagree with this approach, and claim that in this system, minorities and
individuals are often overlooked and brushed aside. Kant argues that any action cannot be moral
unless the motives are moral.
Kantian ethics is a subcategory of Deontological Ethics, which is the rightness of actions. Kantian
ethics uses the concept of categorical imperative, which states that you should act in ways such that
you can rationally will your acts to be a universal law. Therefore, that which is good, not that which is
bad, can be universalizable. Kant believed that all people should act in a way so that you never treat
another person as a means, but only as an end onto themselves. This means that if someone were to
perform an act, they would do so without concern for the consequence, but rather because they believe
it is in fact what they should do.
For instance, if a person were to ask me if his car was nice but I thought it was junk, Kant would
disregard his feelings because telling him the truth is more important. Therefore, it is okay to perform
illegal or unethical actions because morality and loyalty are more important. The problem would then
arise: What if everyone did this? What if everyone acted on impulse and did whatever they wanted?
There would be no need for moral choices and

The Pros And Cons Of Social Stereotypes
Stereotype threat is a social phenomenon where a member of a negatively stereotyped group performs
poorly when reminded of that stereotype (Beilock, Jellison, Rydell, McConnell, Carr, 2006). For
example, previous studies have shown that when primed with a negative stereotype African Americans
perform worse on intellectual tasks (Steele, Aronson, 1995), and women perform worse at math
(Spencer, Steele, Quinn, 1999). The main component of stereotype threat is that it impairs working
memory (Schmader, Forbes, Johns, 2008). Working memory is a short term memory system that is
involved in the control, regulation, and active maintenance of a limited amount of information with
immediate relevance to the task at hand (Miyake Shah, 1999). So essentially as one works on a task,
working memory keeps all the important information ready for quick access, which is crucial for
performance in almost every domain. Previous studies have shown that working memory capacity is a
direct mediator between stereotype threat and impaired mental performance (Schmader, Johns, 2003).
At a cognitive level, working memory is a limited capacity resource that can become depleted if it is
attending to multiple domains. If depleted there is less capacity available to control a task s execution
and information processing demands (Schmader, Johns, 2003). Many different studies have contested
how it is that stereotype threat impairs performance. For example, in Steele and Aronson s

Australia is a highly urbanized country, with most of the population living in the city. Out of the 23
million residents nearly 70% live in major cities or towns (Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2013).
Population growth continuous to be prominent in inner cities and outer suburbs. Australian major
cities play a key function for the national economy. However the increase in urbanization and
immigration creates issues such as social polarization. Social polarization creates vulnerability with
continuing high rates of unemployment, low level of household income, separation between
communities and inequality.

In many urban areas, the gab between high income workers and low income workers is increasing,
creating inequality and lower social mobility. Not only has the gap between the rich and poor

employment, health and personal security. 70% of the population in Australia lives in cities and towns
and therefore the major cities play a key function of the national economy. The increase in
urbanization creates conflicts and competition between richer and poorer communities as an
increasing amount of jobs need higher qualifications. The structure of the Australian economy has

vulnerable as 70% of the workforce had no educational qualifications and therefore couldn t adapt to

The Odyssey
The Odyssey
In Homer s epic, The Odyssey, each culture treats strangers and guests with distinct differences from
every other culture. One of the most hospitable cultures was that of the ancient Greeks, exemplified in
Homer s The Odyssey by both gracious hosts and guests. In Greece and The Odyssey, not only was
good hospitality etiquette expected, but the added pressure that if they didn t treat their guests with
respect the gods would punish them further compelled excellent manners. The Odyssey illustrates the
proper etiquette when dealing with guests. In Homer s ancient Greece their are many steps that a host
must follow to complete proper guest host relations, these steps aren t enforced but are expected.

As a guest, Odysseus is very selfish and inconsiderate towards his hosts. Throughout the duration of
Odysseus absence, the suitors are treated well, and in response to this, they refuse to leave when
asked. The suitors are fed and housed, and after a number of years they overstay their welcome. In
response to this Telemachus, prompted by Athena, informs the suitors that his father is returning home
and they are all to vacate Odysseus home. The suitors, in turn, ignore him and continue to eat drink
and be merry, at the cost of Telemachus and Penelope s household. What are the consequences of
these actions taken by the suitors? Although the primary consequence is their death, they also lose the
hand of Penelope. None of them are able to pass the test of stringing the bow of Odysseus except
Odysseus himself. This is followed by the main consequence of the suitors execution at the hands of
Odysseus and Telemachus. By not respecting the hospitality given by Penelope, they set the stage for
their own deaths. This is quite possibly a reference to the fact that they saw hospitality as a way to
honor the gods; giving hospitality to a stranger was the same as offering it to a god. Zeus being the
god of hospitality, one of the primary ways to worship this aspect of Zeus godliness was to be
hospitable to strangers and travelers. A

that. It was a chain of amazing scientists, all following one another s work to invent or discover

Hydrochloric acid is a very strong acid and it can digest any that contact with it. At high temperature,
hydrochloric acid can act as chemical enzyme which can hydrolyses polysaccharide. Hydrochloric
acid can break down solution B and starch which are polysaccharide to their respective
monosaccharide. Temperatures may have affect the substances such as solutions A and B, saliva, and
hydrochloric acid. Saliva is a type of biological enzyme needs an optimum temperature of 37°C to
carry out high activity. High temperature causes amylase to become denatured, and the shape of the
active site changes, because the bonds in the enzymes are broken because of the heat energy gained to
brak the bond. When an enzyme is denatured, it cannot function, hence , no catalyse biological
reaction. When solution B is under high temperature, solution B gains heat, which is converted to
kinetic energy. Solution B thus have high kinetic energy, and its easier to be catalyzed because the
activation energy is achieved easily. Because it has high kinetic energy, the solution can be catalyzed
by the hydrochloric acid.
The product that formed after hydrolysed is broken to monosaccharide which are glucose molecules.
This is because glucose is a type of reducing sugar that can turns Benedict s solution from blue to
brick red precipitate. Starch and glucose are consider as carbohydrate . Figure below shows

Essay on Public Smoking Ban
United States Surgeon General Richard Carmona stated the nearly 126 million nonsmokers are
exposed to secondhand smoke (Report: Ban smoking in public places). The risk of inferior health
caused by smoking in public establishments is truly intolerable. The banning of smoking in public
places everywhere should be imposed because it would reduce the risk of health problems of non
smokers, it could reduce the number of smokers all together, and, therefore, reduce the amount of
valuable money taxpayers spend on smoking related costs.

patron, commented on how it will affect her social life, Smoking and parties have sort of always gone

Justine). This ban has proven to be extremely successful. An article from WebMD, Smoking Ban
Helps NYC Stop Smoking, states that within four years of the law being passed there was nearly a
quarter million less smokers in the city alone, possibly saving nearly eighty thousand lives in the long
term. These results are from only one city; one could only imagine the effect if a ban on smoking in
public places was imposed across the nation. This great success is one of the reasons that smoking
should be banned in public places. There are many unnecessary costs associated with smoking, of
which, most would be reduced with the effects of a smoking ban. The ban of smoking in public would
reduce the amount of valuable money Americans squander on smoking related costs and liabilities.
First, the proposed smoking ban would help reduce the amount of money spent on healthcare.. The
ban would help reduce the medical care needed for illnesses, diseases, and cancers, (etc) caused by the
smoking of tobacco and inhalation of secondhand smoke. This is money could have helped the, over,

Analysis Of Edwin Romanzo Elmer s Mourning Picture

likenesses in correlation to Rich s work.
Edwin Romanzo Elmer made his artistic creation as a dedication to his little girl Effie in 1890. In
Edwin Romanzo Elmers painting, suitable images are utilized to speak to death. Effie has passed

the setting around her home.

youngster. Most families go to pieces after the demise of a kid, and the rate of separation is high. One
can just envision how troublesome a folk s presence must be the point at which a youngster is
lamentably lost. Effie explains, This was our world (Rich1200). Effie must think somehow she can
rebuild what has as of now been crushed from her demise. The world she knows is not the world she is
in. It is the world without Effie. Rich likewise depicts Effie as being in a fantasy

daze she is in on the grounds that she gives off an impression of being encountering life after death.
Dreams are regularly comprised of visual pictures. This fantasy Effie is having may conceivably be

Star Wars Argumentative Essay
Under normal circumstances, when a fairly large franchise film is coming out, you could be forgiven
for forgetting about the accompanying video game that inevitably comes along with it. Ranging from
painful cash grabs to satisfying tie ins, film inspired games usually appear the afterthought of the
Hollywood marketing process. But Star Wars: the Force Awakens isn t a fairly large franchise film,
and these are by no means normal circumstances.
A little under a month ahead of what could quite possibly be the biggest cinematic release of all time,
we fans have not just a shameless tie in but a fully fledged reboot of one of the most loved franchises
in Star Wars enormous gaming catalogue. And while that may be as much a result of rose tinted
nostalgia and remarkably consistent marketing of Disney as it is anything else, EA DICE s Star Wars

As you more than likely know by now, Star Wars Battlefront is an entirely multiplayer focused game.
Players are given the choice between the Multiplayer modes and Battlefront s Missions mode, but the

the more intimate, small sided modes like Droid Run and Hero Hunt.

The Issue Of Stem Cell Research
Catholics are absolutely against embryonic stem cell research. News is already talking about how the
Catholics approve for stem cell research but inside of an interview with Catholic News Service Nancy

embryos are involved and are even working up to get that taken care of. This research is honestly
going against everything that Catholics believe in. Multiple times inside of this document that was

document that really stood out is, The issue of stem cell research does not force us to choose between
science and ethics, much less between science and religion (O Brien Catholic News Service ). This
quote really hit the spot on this view because it has a good point, science and religion are starting to

This is meaning that you have many rights in the court room itself such as, the right to remain silent.
In our case we the people are given these right to give us our chances to prove ourselves innocent. If
we choose we can have a lawyer given to us to help. In a court room it s also know to be open minded

So many kids now look up to the people that run our country and want to become war heroes. What I
understand about this is that people think it s a masculine thing to join the military but, the way I see it
as men can do what women can and vice versa. Women are usually seen in the medical portion of the
military because we have that motherly instinct that men don t have. There has been a lot of
controversy about this but women are equally as strong men and I m going to prove that as being a
future guardian in protecting our liberties. In conclusion, each and everyone of us have the rights of
everybody else. We just need to realize that even though it may seem unfair in cases, we are the future
of America. We will determine the faith and with this we need to protect what is right. Our liberties
are the most important part that. Being in the court of law, being an immigrant earning their
citizenship, or even being apart of our military systems. You are protecting our liberties, as a United

Novel Play Review Notes: Brave New World
Key Quotation
Everyone belongs to everyone else, after all. (149)
The idea of complete access in Brave New World actually elucidates the confinement in which the
citizens of the modern world are living in. Everyone must subject to one another s desires and
motives, seemingly being treated like property. Consequently, the fact that all the members of this
society play both the role of master and slave demonstrates that the only individuals with a sense of
true freedom are those who regulate the society and control the thoughts of the general population.

From the beginning of the novel readers are introduced to a highly advanced yet seemingly dystopian
society, based in London. Huxley establishes that the year is A.F. 632 or 2540, commemorating Henry
Ford s production of the Ford Model T in 1908 (A.F. 1). Already, readers begin to understand the role
the setting plays in the novel as the new World State worship a figure of industrial and technological
advancements similar to how people of our time worship God. Huxley further creates a disturbing
image by elaborately describing every single detail of this new world, from professions such as
Director of Hatcheries and Conditioning to technologies like scent organs and vibro vacuum
massages. This intense emphasis of detail even helps parody our own world. Christianity has the
cross, citizens of the World State have their T . We would say, Thank God! ; they say Thank Ford! .
Consequently, while London enjoys the fruits of these advancements, Huxley describes the savage
reservation in New Mexico with the same kind of detail, but keeping an emphasis on the primitive
characters of this land. The reservation shares a resemblance to that of an exhibition at a zoo, and
partly takes that form as Bernard Marx, one of the protagonists, visits the area to examine and view
the inhabitants. In the reservation, Bernard is given a tour of the culture, activities, and people of the
reservation. Aside from the natural landscape, readers learn that even the

Treatment Of Recurrent Erythema Multiforme
Apremilast for Treatment of Recurrent Erythema Multiforme
Introduction
Recurrent erythema multiforme (EM) is an uncommon skin condition with unclear etiology
considered to be a hypersensitivity reaction presenting commonly in young adults with distinctive
targetoid skin lesions with or without mucosal lesions. These cases are typically treated with antiviral
therapies or immunosuppressive agents in more extreme cases. We present a case of recurrent EM in a
young adult that resolved completely after treatment with Otezla (apremilast), an oral medication
originally developed for the treatment of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis.
Case report
A 21 year old African American female with a history of recurrent skin lesions on lips, tongue and soft
palate for over ten years. She was initially diagnosed at age 6 with Behcet s syndrome due to presence
of recurrent oral and genital ulcers as well as joint pain and swelling. She stated that she has about six
episodes per year with recurrence after treatment. For acute episodes, she was given treatment with
prednisone for management of oral and genital lesions, which has been used intermittently. She was
additionally treated with colchicine, dapsone and hydroxychloroquine with no response. It is unclear
when these treatments were administered or for what duration the patient adhered to these regimens.
Lesions resolved completely with no new lesions after one month of therapy on Otezla. There has not
been a recurrence for 4 months.

It is imperative to choose specific workouts which are suitable for your body type. For example if you
want to lose weight fast than including cardiovascular exercise is the right choice. If you don t want to
cut down your body fat and simply want to build muscles, then you can start with lifting weights.
After designing a schedule you need to execute it. Never get impatient even if you are not achieving
your short term goals, you are supposed to stick to your schedule for about a month after which you
can change some exercises.
Cardiovascular Workout
A 30 minute cardiovascular workout session will bring astonishing results. Half an hour is enough for
cardiovascular exercises; you can choose your favorite activities from this category. Some of the
cardiovascular workouts are stair climbing, jogging, swimming and bicycling. After consulting your
physician you can also buy real Winstrol pills. Right supplements along with exercise and proper diet
bring faster results in bodybuilding.
Longer Workout Periods
Resistance training for less than 30 minutes may not bring good results. Weight training is important
to transform your body into a leaner and muscular body. For this you can do around 60 minutes of
weight training with short rest period between the exercise

Much Ado About Nothing Play Analysis
Much Ado About Nothing Courtney Irving drama assignment
The Queensland theatre company s rendition of Much Ado About Nothing was a highly captivating
piece of theatre, in which the director, Jason Klarwein stated that this play is a beautifully controlled
sensual look at love and lust. What people will do to get it and what people will do to avoid it.
Through the relationships between the entire ensemble of actors, more specifically, Christen O Leary
depicting Beatrice, and Benedick, portrayed by Hugh Parker the role of love and lust was integrated,
as well as what the characters will do to avoid and get love. This integration of love and lust into the
performance was showcased through the extensive manipulation of the conventions of Elizabethan
theatre, more specifically, exaggerated movements and vocal dexterity, the intimate mood that was
created in moments between Benedick and Beatrice, and the symbolic aspects of the play. The
performance centred around ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
After overhearing their teasing, Beatrice exclaimed her shock upon hearing the news as well as
confessing her love for Benedick. O Leary integrated vocal dexterity when she delivered these lines
by the noticeable change in her voice as her words are spoken in a higher pitch, demonstrating the
shock that overcame her when hearing about Benedick supposed love that he has for her. O Leary
delivered these lines with an increased volume as well as an increased pace in which they are spoken,
showing how she was excited by the news. This observable change in Beatrice s voice showcased how
excited and passionate she became, which amplified that Beatrice did in fact want to love and be
loved, when, similarly to Benedick, she had previously avoided

extensive backgrounds in multiple management roles have shaped his approach to managing and
supervising effective teams and projects. James extensive time within Medical Education and the

(D1). There are many challenges that James Byers believes are currently facing him as a manager and
supervisor in his professional role. The biggest challenge facing James on a day to day basis is
convincing everyone in the organization to go in one singular direction and bring uniformity and
consistency to existing processes and guidelines. Having to manage up and across various group
dynamics to bring cohesion and cohesiveness to processes that he currently oversees is challenging in
his role as a supervisor. James could not go into much detail on his current challenges due to a recent
reorganization of several departments at Medtronic. James continually stressed that the biggest
challenge facing him and many managers and supervisors on his level have to do with uniformity. The
challenge of unifying and streamlining processes across multiple departments and therapies within a
large corporation will always be a challenge. Process uniformity challenges will always be a factor
because everyone works and thinks

Echo And Narcissus Analysis
Comparing Tragedies: Echo vs. Narcissus
Ovid displays an impressive grasp of language in his poem Narcissus and Echo which allows him to
address many classic themes, the chief of these being the theme of unfulfilled love and the suffering it
brings. The most notable instances of this type of suffering are Echo and Narcissus transformations;
Echo withers away until she is naught but a voice, and Narcissus is trapped in place until he eventually
transforms into a flower. Upon finishing this tale, the reader is left with much to consider, including
the question: which fate is worse? Of course, both fates are certainly cruel, but they given the specific
themes and diction that Ovid uses when describing each pseudo death, Echo s punishment seems far
less dehumanizing than Narcisssus ; whereas Narcissus is completely objectified by his transformation
into a beautiful flower, Echo at least maintains the power of voice.
Given Ovid s diction during Echo s introduction, it is clear that her fate is directly tied to the power of
speech and voice. Ovid calls her resounding Echo as if this is her title, and the use of the word
resounding is very important (line 26). Why not call her loud or huge or any of the other synonyms
tied to the word resounding ? One can only assume that Ovid wanted to make use of the word s other
definition: resonant and reverberant. By essentially introducing her as Reverberant Echo and
mentioning that her speech was strange , Ovid immediately alerts the reader to what is both Echo s
downfall and her saving grace: Words have power. Echo over uses words in her favor when she d talk
and talk,/ to give her sister nymphs just enough/ time to slip away before they were found out, by Juno
(lines 38 40), and eventually, her speech turns on her when she is able to do little more than repeat
Narcissus words back to him despite how much she wishes to sing his praises. In the end, however,
Echo s final punishment is to become no more than a voice, no more than a literal echo. Surely, this
fate is cruel, but perhaps it is not completely unforgiving; though it is very little consolation, Echo at
least maintains the power of voice, and however diluted this power might be, Ovid writes,

Associate Level Material Conflicts Are Important Worksheet In this assignment, you must write 300
to 450 words on conflict and conflict management. Record your answers in this worksheet. Part 1: The
Five Conflict Types Describe each of the five conflict types using paragraph form. 1. Pseudo conflicts:
Psueudo conflicts, are conflicts that are not real, but they are only perceived as real conflicts. Pseudo
conflicts can result from two causes: faulty assumptions, and false dilemmas. A faulty assumption
would be asking one of your dental assistants to stay behind, after office hours to help sterilize
instruments. You notice that the dental assistant is leaving the office, and you assume that they are

3. Ego conflicts: Ego conflicts occur when a dispute settles on status or power. The initial arguments
may be over some factual question that can be easily answered. However, the ego conflict results
when you argue who has the right facts. The question of which Republican had the most votes during
the presidential election becomes who knows more about politics. 4. Value conflicts: Value conflicts
focus on personal beliefs that you hold near and dear. Value conflicts usually surface in personal
relationships. For example, my boyfriend and I have been dating for 6 months. We have discussed
marriage with children. I am Catholic and he is a non denominational Christian. When we discuss
marriage, he constantly reminds me that he doesn t believe in Catholicism. I am a practicing Catholic,
he is not a practicing Christian. We have both decided that eventually we will come to a compromise
where both of our religious needs will be met. 5. Need conflicts: Need conflicts usually occur when
the needs of one individual are at odds with the needs of another. For example, when you begin
cooking Thanksgiving dinner for your family and friends, and you begin a brand new recipe that
requires your undivided attention so that your measurements are precise; your cellular phone rings and
your 6 month old wakes up from his nap. Need conflicts are easily resolved by redefining or

Possible Causes Of The Great Recession
Recessions have damaged the country multiple times and have multiple causes. The Great Recession
was caused by individuals and the big banks in the country, not Wall Street. People were trying to get
money quickly and were willing to believe lies to get it. People lost their homes and livelihood but the
richest people in the country were mostly unaffected by the recession and were able to continue on
with their lives. Economists always thought the housing market would straighten up and there was no
need to worry. Unfortunately, people bought expensive homes with loans and thought they could sell
the homes and get more money to pay their loans. Banks were not very picky on who they gave loans
too and gave as possible because they had the

Female Role Portrayals Not Matching The Public Expectations
There have been many ethical discussions about female role portrayals not matching the public
expectations i.e. the female characteristics been narrowly described and disapprovingly presented in a
stereotypical manner such as not intelligent, fragile, irrational, decorative, submissive and subservient
to men (Courtney, AE Lockeretz, SW 1971; Venkatesan Losco 1975; Belkaoui Belkaoui, 1976;
Goffman 1979; Blackwood 1983; Bretl Cantor 1988; Jolliffe 1989; Luebke 1989; Kang, EU 1997;
Acevedo, CR et al. 2006). But due to Women s movement, few changes were witnessed in both
female traits and the visual aspects of the related advertisements.
A further research done by Sullivan and O Connor (1988) suggested that the advertisements ... Show

410).
But somehow, the recent studies showed the good looking female endorsers are employed effectively,
strictly matching to the product type (Lin Yeh 2009). However, Shields (1997 cited in Carpenter
Edison p.7) have argued that These messages are used to sell everything from cosmetics to cars to
beverages, provide a prescription for how women should look and be looked at, how they should feel,
and how they are expected to act.
Furthermore specialists on feminist movements also debate that previously advertising illustrations
and expressions of female parts were more of solid signs of objectification and representative of male
desire where women were appeared to be more controlled than men under the societal expectations
(Dvir et al., 1995; Rayburn et al., 1999 cited in Lin Yeh 2009). But few experts propose that the
modern role depictions are neither excessively prevalent nor necessarily archetypal of typical feminine
roles (Courtney and Sarah 1971; Whipple and Courtney, 1985; Zhou and Chen, 1997 cited in Lin Yeh
2009).
Even today, the recent studies suggest that advertisements do not reflect the contemporary gender
roles and advertisers still incorporate clichéd images that no longer exist (Zotos Tsichla 2014). There
has been a gap to understand whether this way of representation is due to cultural effects and the role
of social foundations that continue to diffuse non comparable attitudes and hierarchical structures in
the relationship between the

  • 3. Environmental Impacts Of Environmental Disasters Introduction Environmental damage that is caused by just one individual is exclusively minor which causes it to be unnoticed, whereas a major group of people, such as a large corporation harming the environment at once causes major harm to society. More than a century of industrial development has caused negative environmental impacts such as global warming, ozone depletion, and air and water pollution. These are recognized as global environmental problems that need immediate solutions. Climate change, as an international environmental issue, is getting a great deal of attention as it has become a global issue. In the last few decades, there has been a heightened awareness of environmental issues by governments, policy makers, advocacy groups, business firms, and the public all over the world. The corporate role in this, the potentially most severe and all encompassing of environmental disasters, is quite clear as business activities are effecting climate change negatively. This paper will argue that in order to minimize the negative effect of environmental harm and climate change, the undertakings of corporations should be structured and encouraged to perform in a socially responsible manner. This will be examined through the discussion on the legal structure of corporations and the desire of regulators and victims looking to hold them accountable for their environmental harm. It will be followed with a description of the importance of corporate social responsibility. This ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Also, the three girls, Agnes, Margo, and Edith are relatable to children because their actions and language are similar to the ages of children that are most likely going to be sitting in the movie theater. The Debate On Marriage And Parenting Rights For Gay And The debate on marriage and parenting rights for gay and lesbian individuals has been one of the most hotly contested social issues in recent history. While many arguments are cited to prevent gay couples from enjoying equality, these arguments ultimately condense to concerns rooted in homophobia. Opponents of the LGBT community contend that same sex parenting contradicts the natural order of the world, subjects children to unnecessary societal stigma, and that the state has a right to favor heterosexual norms. However, these concerns are either unfounded or unjustly infringe on the rights of gay and lesbian couples. Therefore, it is unjust to use the same argument to prevent gay couples from adopting. Skeptics of gay and lesbian parents also raise the concern that the children of same sex couples would be subject to stigma from society. They argue that gay parents should not be granted custody rights because their children would be subject to unnecessary ridicule by their peers. In short, their position is that children should not be placed into harsh conditions simply due to their parents sexual behavior. While the well being of the child is an important concern in custody matters, stigma that exists within society must not be written into law. Bigotry is an unfortunate component of human nature, and it will likely never be erased completely. The law cannot control these biases, but it should not be influenced by the fleeting passions of the time. If the law gives biases that exist within society legitimacy, they will merely be reinforced for generations. Furthermore, a primary purpose of law is to serve as a guardian of the minority rights. Basic rights must be enshrined in law so that they are insulated from tyrannical majorities that might act with malice toward a minority group. Preventing gay couples from adopting because society holds a bias against them unjustly sacrifices a crucial liberty for homosexuals. Kantian ethics uses the concept of categorical imperative, which states that you should act in ways such that you can rationally will your acts to be a universal law. Therefore, that which is good, not that which is bad, can be universalizable. Kant believed that all people should act in a way so that you never treat another person as a means, but only as an end onto themselves. This means that if someone were to perform an act, they would do so without concern for the consequence, but rather because they believe it is in fact what they should do. For instance, if a person were to ask me if his car was nice but I thought it was junk, Kant would disregard his feelings because telling him the truth is more important. Therefore, it is okay to perform illegal or unethical actions because morality and loyalty are more important. The problem would then arise: What if everyone did this? What if everyone acted on impulse and did whatever they wanted? There would be no need for moral choices and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 11. The Pros And Cons Of Social Stereotypes Stereotype threat is a social phenomenon where a member of a negatively stereotyped group performs poorly when reminded of that stereotype (Beilock, Jellison, Rydell, McConnell, Carr, 2006). For example, previous studies have shown that when primed with a negative stereotype African Americans perform worse on intellectual tasks (Steele, Aronson, 1995), and women perform worse at math (Spencer, Steele, Quinn, 1999). The main component of stereotype threat is that it impairs working memory (Schmader, Forbes, Johns, 2008). Working memory is a short term memory system that is involved in the control, regulation, and active maintenance of a limited amount of information with immediate relevance to the task at hand (Miyake Shah, 1999). So essentially as one works on a task, working memory keeps all the important information ready for quick access, which is crucial for performance in almost every domain. Previous studies have shown that working memory capacity is a direct mediator between stereotype threat and impaired mental performance (Schmader, Johns, 2003). At a cognitive level, working memory is a limited capacity resource that can become depleted if it is attending to multiple domains. If depleted there is less capacity available to control a task s execution and information processing demands (Schmader, Johns, 2003). Many different studies have contested how it is that stereotype threat impairs performance. For example, in Steele and Aronson s ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The suitors are fed and housed, and after a number of years they overstay their welcome. In response to this Telemachus, prompted by Athena, informs the suitors that his father is returning home and they are all to vacate Odysseus home. The suitors, in turn, ignore him and continue to eat drink and be merry, at the cost of Telemachus and Penelope s household. What are the consequences of these actions taken by the suitors? Although the primary consequence is their death, they also lose the hand of Penelope. None of them are able to pass the test of stringing the bow of Odysseus except Odysseus himself. This is followed by the main consequence of the suitors execution at the hands of Odysseus and Telemachus. By not respecting the hospitality given by Penelope, they set the stage for their own deaths. This is quite possibly a reference to the fact that they saw hospitality as a way to honor the gods; giving hospitality to a stranger was the same as offering it to a god. Temperatures may have affect the substances such as solutions A and B, saliva, and hydrochloric acid. Saliva is a type of biological enzyme needs an optimum temperature of 37°C to carry out high activity. High temperature causes amylase to become denatured, and the shape of the active site changes, because the bonds in the enzymes are broken because of the heat energy gained to brak the bond. When an enzyme is denatured, it cannot function, hence , no catalyse biological reaction. When solution B is under high temperature, solution B gains heat, which is converted to kinetic energy. Solution B thus have high kinetic energy, and its easier to be catalyzed because the activation energy is achieved easily. Because it has high kinetic energy, the solution can be catalyzed by the hydrochloric acid.

  • 23. Review Of Brave New World Mustafa Niazi Mr. Hadley English 2H August 19, 2015 Novel Play Review Notes: Brave New World Key Quotation Everyone belongs to everyone else, after all. (149) The idea of complete access in Brave New World actually elucidates the confinement in which the citizens of the modern world are living in. Everyone must subject to one another s desires and motives, seemingly being treated like property. Consequently, the fact that all the members of this society play both the role of master and slave demonstrates that the only individuals with a sense of true freedom are those who regulate the society and control the thoughts of the general population. Title Brave New World hints at many prospects simply regarding the title ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... From the beginning of the novel readers are introduced to a highly advanced yet seemingly dystopian society, based in London. Huxley establishes that the year is A.F. 632 or 2540, commemorating Henry Ford s production of the Ford Model T in 1908 (A.F. 1). Already, readers begin to understand the role the setting plays in the novel as the new World State worship a figure of industrial and technological advancements similar to how people of our time worship God. Huxley further creates a disturbing image by elaborately describing every single detail of this new world, from professions such as Director of Hatcheries and Conditioning to technologies like scent organs and vibro vacuum massages. This intense emphasis of detail even helps parody our own world. Christianity has the cross, citizens of the World State have their T . We would say, Thank God! ; they say Thank Ford! . Consequently, while London enjoys the fruits of these advancements, Huxley describes the savage reservation in New Mexico with the same kind of detail, but keeping an emphasis on the primitive characters of this land. The reservation shares a resemblance to that of an exhibition at a zoo, and partly takes that form as Bernard Marx, one of the protagonists, visits the area to examine and view the inhabitants. In the reservation, Bernard is given a tour of the culture, activities, and people of the reservation. Aside from the natural landscape, readers learn that even the ... • 26. Much Ado About Nothing Play Analysis Much Ado About Nothing Courtney Irving drama assignment The Queensland theatre company s rendition of Much Ado About Nothing was a highly captivating piece of theatre, in which the director, Jason Klarwein stated that this play is a beautifully controlled sensual look at love and lust. What people will do to get it and what people will do to avoid it. Through the relationships between the entire ensemble of actors, more specifically, Christen O Leary depicting Beatrice, and Benedick, portrayed by Hugh Parker the role of love and lust was integrated, as well as what the characters will do to avoid and get love. This integration of love and lust into the performance was showcased through the extensive manipulation of the conventions of Elizabethan theatre, more specifically, exaggerated movements and vocal dexterity, the intimate mood that was created in moments between Benedick and Beatrice, and the symbolic aspects of the play. The performance centred around ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... O Leary delivered these lines with an increased volume as well as an increased pace in which they are spoken, showing how she was excited by the news. • 28. Echo And Narcissus Analysis Comparing Tragedies: Echo vs. Narcissus Ovid displays an impressive grasp of language in his poem Narcissus and Echo which allows him to address many classic themes, the chief of these being the theme of unfulfilled love and the suffering it brings. The most notable instances of this type of suffering are Echo and Narcissus transformations; Echo withers away until she is naught but a voice, and Narcissus is trapped in place until he eventually transforms into a flower. Upon finishing this tale, the reader is left with much to consider, including the question: which fate is worse? Of course, both fates are certainly cruel, but they given the specific themes and diction that Ovid uses when describing each pseudo death, Echo s punishment seems far less dehumanizing than Narcisssus ; whereas Narcissus is completely objectified by his transformation into a beautiful flower, Echo at least maintains the power of voice. Given Ovid s diction during Echo s introduction, it is clear that her fate is directly tied to the power of speech and voice. Ovid calls her resounding Echo as if this is her title, and the use of the word resounding is very important (line 26). Why not call her loud or huge or any of the other synonyms tied to the word resounding ? One can only assume that Ovid wanted to make use of the word s other definition: resonant and reverberant. By essentially introducing her as Reverberant Echo and mentioning that her speech was strange , Ovid immediately alerts the reader to what is both Echo s downfall and her saving grace: Words have power. Echo over uses words in her favor when she d talk and talk,/ to give her sister nymphs just enough/ time to slip away before they were found out, by Juno (lines 38 40), and eventually, her speech turns on her when she is able to do little more than repeat Narcissus words back to him despite how much she wishes to sing his praises. In the end, however, Echo s final punishment is to become no more than a voice, no more than a literal echo. Surely, this fate is cruel, but perhaps it is not completely unforgiving; though it is very little consolation, Echo at least maintains the power of voice, and however diluted this power might be, Ovid writes, ... Ego conflicts: Ego conflicts occur when a dispute settles on status or power. The initial arguments may be over some factual question that can be easily answered. However, the ego conflict results when you argue who has the right facts. The question of which Republican had the most votes during the presidential election becomes who knows more about politics. 4. Value conflicts: Value conflicts focus on personal beliefs that you hold near and dear. Value conflicts usually surface in personal relationships. For example, my boyfriend and I have been dating for 6 months. We have discussed marriage with children. I am Catholic and he is a non denominational Christian. When we discuss marriage, he constantly reminds me that he doesn t believe in Catholicism. I am a practicing Catholic, he is not a practicing Christian. We have both decided that eventually we will come to a compromise where both of our religious needs will be met. 5. Need conflicts: Need conflicts usually occur when the needs of one individual are at odds with the needs of another. For example, when you begin cooking Thanksgiving dinner for your family and friends, and you begin a brand new recipe that requires your undivided attention so that your measurements are precise; your cellular phone rings and your 6 month old wakes up from his nap. Need conflicts are easily resolved by redefining or ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Great Recession was caused by individuals and the big banks in the country, not Wall Street. People were trying to get money quickly and were willing to believe lies to get it. • 32. Female Role Portrayals Not Matching The Public Expectations There have been many ethical discussions about female role portrayals not matching the public expectations i.e. the female characteristics been narrowly described and disapprovingly presented in a stereotypical manner such as not intelligent, fragile, irrational, decorative, submissive and subservient to men (Courtney, AE Lockeretz, SW 1971; Venkatesan Losco 1975; Belkaoui Belkaoui, 1976; Goffman 1979; Blackwood 1983; Bretl Cantor 1988; Jolliffe 1989; Luebke 1989; Kang, EU 1997; Acevedo, CR et al. 2006). But somehow, the recent studies showed the good looking female endorsers are employed effectively, strictly matching to the product type (Lin Yeh 2009). However, Shields (1997 cited in Carpenter Edison p.7) have argued that These messages are used to sell everything from cosmetics to cars to beverages, provide a prescription for how women should look and be looked at, how they should feel, and how they are expected to act. Furthermore specialists on feminist movements also debate that previously advertising illustrations and expressions of female parts were more of solid signs of objectification and representative of male desire where women were appeared to be more controlled than men under the societal expectations (Dvir et al., 1995; Rayburn et al., 1999 cited in Lin Yeh 2009). But few experts propose that the modern role depictions are neither excessively prevalent nor necessarily archetypal of typical feminine roles (Courtney and Sarah 1971; Whipple and Courtney, 1985; Zhou and Chen, 1997 cited in Lin Yeh 2009). Even today, the recent studies suggest that advertisements do not reflect the contemporary gender roles and advertisers still incorporate clichéd images that no longer exist (Zotos Tsichla 2014). There has been a gap to understand whether this way of representation is due to cultural effects and the role of social foundations that continue to diffuse non comparable attitudes and hierarchical structures in the relationship between the ...
