Jordan Athletic Footwear
The athletic shoe industry stands one of the greatest and most profitable in the world. Currently, global
annual athletic footwear revenues stand around $75B per year, with annual US consumers spending
close to$20 billion. Unsurprisingly, the largest growth in the industry took place during the 1980 s and
1990 s, during Jordan s career in which the popularity of athletic and sport oriented casual shoes
skyrocketed. Also not alarming is who the dominant player in the athletic footwear market is Nike.
The market share of Nike and Jordan brands combined is routinely measured at close to 50% in this
market, proving their sponsorship deal with Jordan in 1984 provided the springboard to which they
never have looked back on. Looking forward, this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
While still having a presence in NBA courts, the brand has trended from a pure basketball shoe to one

and iconic fragment of the brand is its diverse audience. The shoes can be found from rap music
videos to the projects of Harlem, from worn by princes of Bel Air to the slums of Detroit, and yet in
any location, revered by those who own or see someone in a fresh pair of J s. Overall, Jordan s market

Disneyland Or Six Flags Essay
From childhood enjoyment, sitdown rides to stomach dropping, mood killing, but thrilling roller
coasters. Many people love amusement parks. My family has an unofficial, tendency to go to at least
one amusement park every year. Although we go quete frequently, this year my family is very
indecisive on whether we should go to Disneyland or Six Flags. We have had many good and bad
experiences at either park over the past few years. Two years ago we went to Disneyland for our
family trip. It was a breathtaking experience. I remember when I first walked through the disney gates.
Upon walking in, I immediately looked around in awe. As soon as I saw the signature Mickey Mouse
head in the grass I instantaneously felt the vast amount of wonder and excitement ... Show more

If you re lucky, the day your family decides to go to Disneyland the lines will be shorter.
Unfortunately for us we were not so lucky. Each line was at least an hour to an hour and a half long,
especially for the rides that drew in a lot more children. While waiting my enthusiasm level for the
ride slowly decreased but my anticipation level was still high. Once we were able to get aboard the
ride, my family and I sat back and relaxed as the animated and moving simulators entertained us.
Following the ride I felt better than before and I could tell my family did too. All of us couldn t be
more happy. We kept this same trend for the rest of the day. Once we left the park we were all tired
and sad to go. But I knew I would be able to share this amazing experience with others later on in life.
Although the Disney trip was great, this past year we changed it up. We decided to go to Six Flags
instead. I remember during the car ride and while waiting to get in the park I felt so anxious. I couldn t
keep still. Upon arrival I could almost feel the immensity of the roller coasters towering over the park.
Even my family was starting to feel apprehensive about going but we all soon got over it and decided
to work our way up in intensity. So I grabbed a map and we all made our way through the

Certified Public Accountant ( Cpa )
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is the most important certification, and the highest
professional designation for accountants in the United States. This certification allows accountants to
prove their profound expertise and knowledge in accounting field upon successful competition of a set
of requirements and ultimately certifying them as qualified accountants. Among other distinguished
certificates available to professional accountants that would be just as beneficial for their accounting
career depending on personal preference are: Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA),
Certificate in Financial Forensics (SFF), and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). As far as my personal
career achievements go, obtaining the CPA certificate is my immediate goal; pursuing the CGMA
certificate is part of my ideal plan.
CPA Membership Requirements In order to be licensed in the state of Virginia, a CPA candidate needs
to meet a few requirements set forth by Virginia Board of Accountancy (VBOA). According to
VBOA, an applicant must first meet the 3 E s which are Education, Exam, and Experience.
Prior to sitting for the CPA exam, a candidate should prove to have the required educational
credentials. Having higher education with a minimum of 120 semester hours would qualify an
applicant to sit for the CPA exam. However, to ultimately obtain the CPA certificate, recent changes in
VBOA policy clearly state that an applicant must have a total of 150 credit

Analysis Of The Movie Ballad Of Gregorio Cortez
Borders Citizenship Rosalinda Castro Hispanics in the US 8:00 10:05am Midterm PART AAriana
Ocho There cannot be a discussion about borders without also discussing the metaphors that are linked
to them. When speaking about the border people know the physical borderlines between countries, but
to understand borders one must look pass the physical boundaries. As a society we must be and make
ourselves more aware of the cultural identity, language, and community surrounding the Latino
American population. During the Mexican American War the border moved, but the people didn t.
History has shown us that no matter how thick the border might be Latino Americans have a strong
connection to their culture and roots; instead of assimilating, Mexicans live between two worlds. The
film, Ballad of Gregorio Cortez gave us a perspective of two cultures; Two cultures the Anglo and the
Mexican lived side by side in state of tension and fear . Cortez is running for his life as he heads north,
while the Anglo believe that because of his Mexican ethnicity, he would travel south to Mexico.
Throughout the film there were cultural tensions and misunderstandings; language plays an important
part of someone s identity, and for many Latino Americans Spanish is their first language. The Ballad
of Gregorio Cortez also shows us that language plays an important role, and can cause confusion
between two different groups. For example, Anglos refer to a male

After the introduction of the pathogen, it was clear that various non pathogens could cause harm to
people. The concept of the pathogen was initially was referred to microbe causing the disease.
Scientists have involved themselves in research to critical understand the properties of fungi, bacteria,
parasites and viruses that were able to make people become ill. During the research, there were
seminal discoveries that were able to be got (Casadevall and Pirofski). These included various roles of

Wealth In Haiti
5. What economic factors explain why Americans enjoy much more wealth than Haitians? It s safe to
say that Haiti is poor. Especially compared to the U.S. One of the causes for Haiti being so poor just
happens to be humans. They are entrenched in greed and power. The rulers there have ensured Haiti s
despair. Things like soil erosion, bad education system, illiteracy, unemployment, inadequate roads,
water systems, sewerage, and medical services are also some of the causes of Haiti s despair. The
international community also has a lot to do with Haiti being so poor. But the main root of Haiti s
problems comes from their government. The rulers there have used beatings, killings, illegal arrests

There will always be someone else trying to sell your product for less money. Many monopolies are
enforced by government. One example would be operating a cab in New York City. You would need a
government issued medallion. The number of medallions are fixed which develops profits for initial
owners. The profits are not because of talents or resources, instead these profits come by the absence
of government enforcement of the medallion requirement. The government enforcement of
monopolies is an attempt to solve market failure. An example would be New York City enforcing the
medallion rules because they are under the assumption that if they don t restrict cabs, there would be a
lot more traffic jams in the city. When government enforcement of monopolies is appointed for the
well being of subset being granted a monopoly instead of the well being of society, that is when greed
steps in. But monopolies can also improve welfare. For instance, a drug company developing new
heart medication will pay lots of money in research and development for perfecting the drug without
selling anything to achieve revenue. It anticipates that it will sell under a patent over some period of
time and cover the development cost. If you take away the monopoly it takes away the motivation to
produce better drugs. So if markets are not competitive then greed isn t really a problem. It is only a

Research Paper On Pedophilia
Stop posting baby pictures! Stop pedophilia!
Pedophilia is one of the common cases which is unfamiliar to the Filipino citizens. It is performed by
a pedophilic to an infant or child. A pedophilic are those who have a psychiatric disorder which tends
them adults to have a sexual attraction to a child. Believing that posting baby pictures online is the
reason of its growing cases. One percent of male, usually living with a children see themselves
attracted with him or her (Camden, 2009). Pedophilia can be something you re born with. It s not an
addiction, although pedophiles can be sex addicts and are often given addiction type treatment. As a
sex addict, I m convinced we fail these people in ways that increase our risks. Perpetrators often
delude themselves into viewing their actions as helpful to children. They might tell themselves they

They usually caught their baby s milestone like taking a bath and placing diapers which expose private
parts of the infant. One way of pedophiles to satisfy their sexual attraction is visually fantisizing. They
usually found it easily online. The second part of the cycle is that parents start to enjoy posting the
pictures. Contraditional this is the unawareness of parents that pedophilic is more enjoyed expecting
them to post it. One parent tried to explain its risk. She is Eve Mendes, an artist and she refuse from
posting her baby s picture. She wants to give Skylar the opportunity to made the choice if she wants to

Essay on Claims by Judith Ortiz
Claims by Judith Ortiz
Judith Ortiz Cofer is a Puerto Rican whose writing often examines the conflict and the beauty of
cultures mixing together, as people immigrate to America. Though she exhibits a strong connection to
her Latin heritage, she often seems to also resent that part of her life. There are many standards and
expectations in the Puerto Rican society which Cofer writes to subvert, viewing them negatively. As a
Puerto Rican woman, Cofer often disagrees with the limits and expectations placed on a woman in
Puerto Rican society, and this attitude is the subject of much of her work. In Claims, the speaker
describes Grandmother. Cofer uses this poem to illustrate a family and describe an individual, as well

Examining Claims on another lever, one finds messages speaking out against the portrayal of a good
woman in Puerto Rican societies. Women are expected to sacrifice every aspect of their own lives for
their husbands and children. The Grandmother accepted her role in society, but always had dreams of
claiming her own life. Grandmother made a promise when she was married, and she kept her promise.
She raised five children and led a life committed to a husband who was expected by society to wander.
But all along, Grandmother had dreamed of the day when she could secure her freedom. She dreamed
of sleeping in her own bed and simply being herself. Her dream is finally realized in old age, as
described in the poem. Grandmother claimed the right to be herself and live her life. Her days were
constantly occupied by caring for her children and her nights were always invaded by her husband s
presence. Now that her family has all moved on, Grandmother has her house and her life for herself.
Each right that she has claimed has multiple meanings about her life and society, her dreams and true
personality. The first right, that of sleeping alone and owning her nights, describes an internal conflict
which Grandmother carried. While she truly loved her family, she yearned for space and freedom. She
wanted to control at least some part of her life, but

Plasma Spray Coatinging Case Study
 Distances between nozzle of the plasma spray gun and surface has to 100mm to 150mm.
G. The importance of the study
By the end of the proposed project work we can achieve the market demand for the cheap and efficient
feedstock material for plasma spray coating. Because fly ash mechanical properties will boost both
mechanical and thermal substrate properties. And also improve the durability of the metallic substrate
due to improved wear resistances of the substrate. Cost of the feedstock material can be drastically
reduced with the same mechanical and thermal properties provide by standard feedstock materials.
Parallel to use of fly ash material it will help to slow down the use of the non renewable assets. This
will also give a new ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And also flexible to resolve complicated designs by using high density inert gases to attain high
particle velocity which gains high bond strength. Even with superior advantages it has drawbacks,
mainly the cost factor because feedstock materials are very expensive due pre processing for the finest
outcome. So we got to be using industrial waste fly ash material to 90% cost free feedstock material.
By the investigation of fly ash composition and micro structure it shows terrific mechanical properties
and good wear resistances due contain of oxides which can be utilised as proactive ceramic coating
material and has low thermal conductivity (Satapathy et al, 2009). No pre processing is needed
because of its microstructure has spherical shape that makes the flow ability easy. Most importantly it
s very inexpensive when compared other feedstock materials used in other thermal spray coating.
Because of its exceptional benefits many sectors such as automotive, construction, other
manufacturing fields. As our concerned area is surface engineering we goon improve the hardness of
the substrate by coating ceramic material on the ductile materials.

time. The deleveraging of consumer balance sheets is likely to take years, as this unwinding is
concurrent with increased levels of unemployment, both of which will be a drag on a recovery in

Demographics specifically, the retirement of baby boomers will change spending and savings patterns.
The events of 2007 08 have become the impetus for more responsible behavior, and we see a savings

Manual Transmissions In Classics
Automatic and Manual Transmissions in Classics
Some could argue that there is nothing that compares to downshifting into a tight corner and shifting
up while accelerating on the way out of it. We would argue that the only thing potentially better, is
doing so in a classic sports car.
While it s true that automatic transmissions were made with the idea of promoting pure driving
enjoyment, without the worry of complicating the experience to 3 pedals and RPMs. The question we
re looking at is if there is actually anything you have to know if you have a manual transmission
versus an automatic transmission in your classic (or if you re looking for a classic)?
Manual classics are becoming more and more rare as time moves on as the trend of automakers ...

You have the benefit of being able to drive and really enjoy the vehicle without any hassle.
Manuals are as the name implies, manually controlled transmissions. These transmissions rely on the
driver s ability to best control how the car behaves. This also means that should the driver not be
experienced, they could be doing more bad than good. Meaning they could be causing damage or
require more maintenance on a whole.
We ve found that those who tend to seek out manual classics are looking more for the sport or muscle
classics to get the most out of their power.
This being said, if you re comfortable and confident with your ability to drive a stick, either option
should work for you. After all, there are endless beauties on both sides of the fence and we don t see
anyone saying no to a gorgeous classic convertible because of a transmission. Well... maybe.
Traditionally, manuals are known to be more fuel efficient. Some also say that manual cars tend to be
safer as well, as the driver is more engaged with the vehicle, requiring more concentration. This in

dozier hedging
Dozier Hedging Alternatives Forward Market Hedge: Dozier would purchase U.S. dollars under a
forward contract. The contract would obligate Dozier to pay £1,057,500 in exchange for £1,057,500 x
1.4198 $/£ = $1,501,438.50 assuming the transaction was at the quoted 3 month forward rate in
Exhibit 4. Relative to the value of the contract at the current exchange rate, £1,057,500 x 1.4370 $/£ =
$1,519,627.50 Dozier would accepting a reduction in the revenue from the contract of $1,519,627.50
$1,501,438.50 = $18,198.00 or $18,198 / $1,519,627.50 = 1.20% Money Market Hedge: In this case,

Think of this in general as X/Y. So, the money market formula is, in general, (X interest rate Y interest
rate) / (1. + Y interest rate) or, in shorthand, (X Y) /(1 + Y) So if you were using a yen/dollar quote for
the exchange rate, you would have yen rate minus dollar rate divided by one plus dollar rate. Note that
none of this really solves Dozier s problem; but there is a theory that in well functioning markets, the
results from the two formulas should be equal. In other words, it shouldn t make a difference whether
you hedge in the forward market or in the money market. However this theory is based on comparing
apples to apples. Here the apples are the financial instruments whose interest rates we are comparing.
Our interest rate calculation is based on the cost of a UK bank loan to Dozier compared to rate on a
bank CD. The theory works a bit better if you use the Eurodollar rate and the Europound rate in
Exhibit 4, but even these are not precisely similar instruments. However, there is another use for the
formulas. Banks use them in pricing forward contracts! Suppose that we set the two formulas equal to
each other and do some rearrangements using my X/Y approach to stay general and to remind us what
we are doing. We can get the following result, solving for the forward rate: Forward rate = Spot rate x
(1 + X interest rate) / (1 + Y interest rate) Remember the rule is X over Y. When

Nuclear Weapons And Nuclear Proliferation
Committee 9
Nuclear Proliferation
Vanuatu
(A) Brief Background of the Topic
1.) What is the historical background of this topic?
Nuclear Proliferation is defined as the rapid spread or increase of nuclear weapons. Nuclear
Proliferation has been a conflict worldwide for years. It all started during the Cold War, when the
Soviet Union and the United States competed to obtain more nuclear weapons. As the Cold War
continued, France, Britain, and China all began to develop their own nuclear technology. On July 1,
1968, the Treaty on the Non Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons was signed and entered into force in
1970. Under this treaty, a total of 190 parties have agreed to help prevent the spread of nuclear
weapons. A few years later, the Strategic Arms Limitation Talks non proliferation act (SALT 1) was
signed on May 26, 1972 and entered into force on October 3, 1972. After several years of struggle, the
Cold War ended in December 1991.
2.) What nations are directly involved in this issue?
The top contributors of nuclear proliferation include countries like the United States and Russia
(formerly Soviet Union). These two countries were the first to obtain and test nuclear weapons. They
are responsible for more than 93% of all operational nuclear warheads. United Kingdom, France,
China, India, Pakistan, Israel, and North Korea all created nuclear arsenals to attain these weapons of
mass destruction. The United States currently possesses approximately 7,650 warheads, Russia has

received his doctoral degree in 1847 with a thesis on crystallography. Pasteur studied how certain
crystals affect light and at the age of 26, he started working on his doctoral thesis on crystallography,
the study of forms and structures of crystals. Louis began working with two acids commonly found in
the sediments of fermenting wine. Tartaric acid and paratartaric acid were found a few years earlier to
have the same chemical composition, but there was something about these two acids that were
different and Louis sought to find the answer. He found that in solution the two rotated polarized light
differently, while tartaric acid rotated polarized light to the right, paratartaric acid did not rotate the
light at all. He then began to study the crystals of each acid under his microscope and noticed that
some of the crystals in paratartaric acid were slightly different from that of tartaric acid. Using a
dissecting needle and his microscope, he separated the different crystals into two piles, and upon
viewing each crystal in the microscope, he noticed that the crystals appeared to be mirror images of
themselves (Berche, 2012).

Sedona s refreshing creeks and cooler weather.
Like I said earlier though, there s a lot of foot traffic and a lot of unprepared folks on the trail. I
remember stopping three times to give people water. Three groups who hadn t prepared for the trail
adequately. That s when I realized people could use a day hike essentials checklist, big time, whether

Clothing
It s best not to rely wholeheartedly on your smartphone apps. The smarter solution is to pack for
unforeseen circumstances and weather. I always hike with a comfortable pair of socks, a wicking fiber
shirt, and a backup shell in case of rain.
And yes, I hike in sunny Arizona, but weather snaps here on the trails like most any ridge or mountain.
Make sure your hiking clothing will keep you safe and uncompromised in the elements.
8. Sunscreen
We all burn. Some more easily than others, but the sun has it s way with us all in the end. Don t come
home with an embarrassing sunburn. I prefer SPF 35, but the most important number is one. Bring at
least one bottle of sunscreen and apply before you hit the hiking trail.
Seasoned day hikers know the importance of sunscreen and protecting their skin from excess rays.
9. Post hike Shoes
There s nothing quite like the feeling of kicking off your shoes after a long day of work. Multiply that
feeling by a million after you ve gone hiking. I normally have my Chacos waiting for me in the car,

The Legal Profession Of A Lawyer
On December 8th, after a slight struggle to conduct an interview, I was able to get in contact with
Matthew Resch for an interview over the phone, through the help of my classmate Selene. Matthew is
currently an in house counsel. He is required to serve a wide variety of legal matters for the company.
I was happy when I heard this because coincidencedently I also hope to pursue a career in corporate
law. However prior to being an in house counsel he practiced law at a private firm for several years.
Because of this he has a fairly large view of the legal field, and thus understands the pros and cons of
many aspects of the legal profession. Initially I began the interview with some basic questions that
anyone in the legal profession would be able to answer. In my first question I asked Matthew, what
made him want to become a lawyer. He responded by telling me that he wanted to be able to help
people. More specifically, he thought that by becoming a lawyer he would have a figurative toolbelt
that he could use to help people in need of legal assistance. There are a lot of reasons that someone
shouldn t become a lawyer, but I thought that this was actually one of the noble reasons. Next, I asked
him, if law school adequately prepared him to practice law in his field. He responded by telling me
that any law school will get you part of the way there, but none of them will make you completely
prepared for the first client that you need to handle. One important thing

Essay On Bi-American Culture
Ever since I can remember, I have grown up in a bi lingual and bi cultural environment. Having lived
in Mexico City for the first 13 years of my life and holding dual citizenship, I learned at an early age
to juggle between my Mexican American cultures. Consequently, because of my background, I always
knew that I wanted to dedicate my career in the international sector. On top of everything, my paternal
side comes from Spain, whereas my maternal side comes from Poland. They were Jewish immigrants
that fled during World War II in search for a better life for my grandfather. They eventually arrived in
Mexico and that is how my family began their legacy in Mexico.

Anglo-French Influence On English
At the same time Norman French became Anglo Norman as it was itself affected by English. More
than 10,000 French words found their way into English words associated with government, law, art,
literature, food, and many other aspects of life. About three quarters of these words are still used, and
words derived directly or indirectly from French now account for more than a third of English
vocabulary. In fact English speakers know around 15,000 French words, even before they start
learning the language. When the Normans invaded England, the Anglo Saxon literature had reached a
very high level of development. The important Benedictine monasteries wrote Chronicles in Old
English and guarded other works written in this language. But with the arrival of the Normans, the
Anglo Saxon literature came to an end and the literature written in Britain was in Latin or in Anglo
Norman. The Plantagenet kings encouraged this Anglo Norman literature. Nevertheless, from the
beginning of the 14th century, some authors chose to write in English, but it is only during the late
14th century that English literature was at its best with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An enormous number of Norman French words came into the language, and about three quarters of
them are still used today. Very often, the Norman French word supplanted the Anglo Saxon term. Or
both words would co exist, but with slightly different nuances. In other cases, the Norman French
word was adopted to signify a new reality, such as judge, castle, and warranty.[8] Quite a lot of the
words of French origin used in English sit alongside native English ones, and in some cases there are
words of Latin and/or Greek origin with similar meanings. Beef (from French boeuf) is meat from a

Irish Dance Paper
Irish Dance: A Marvelous Dance
Irish step dancing has existed since the 1700 s, over 300 years. Families in Ireland have passed down
Irish step dance from generation to generation as a way of preserving their culture. While the meaning
of the dance remains the same, the performance and showmanship has changed dramatically. From
girls and boys with pale skin and natural hair to girls with fake tanned skin, huge curly wigs, and
thousand dollar dresses and boys with fake tanned skin and outlandish outfits. Irish dance has become
more of a spectacle such as Riverdance and Lord of the Dance. Those dances are some of the most
enjoyable and respected around the world. Over time this type of dance has taken on a life of its own

Taking methods of the dance or stick with the traditional movements and showing them in a way that
would be more interesting to the public. Which is what was done with Riverdance and Lord of the
Dance, which take the form of the dance and use it for a dramatic necessity.
There are various parts of Irish dance that have lasted throughout the years to remain an influence on
the form known today. These basics have laid the foundation on which the dance has grown.
Performed mainly during festivals, which date from the period of Eric the Red and the Viking raids of
Ireland. While the Vikings did destroyed most books and written records, it was acknowledged that
music and dance were important to the Gaelic culture. These festivals were a mixture of trade fair,
political gathering, music, dance, sports, story telling and crafts. Today, the sole purposes of feiseanna
are competitive dance competitions. There is still music, crafts, and trades, not as much. Officially
there is no political aspect to the festivals anymore, many who participate would tell you otherwise.
The reason that the traditional dance has remained apart of the world is because of the teachers and
students. But in order to dance the students required movements, steps, and music to put them to. The
dance masters teachers of the 18th and 19th centuries all had the same original dance steps, while they
invented their own steps on top the original ones. There are two different roots, which

Illegal Immigration Problem Solution
Immigration Problem Solution Essay
Illegal immigration is becoming overwhelming in the United States. Many people are getting across
the border illegally so they can either find a better life for themselves or their children. When these
people immigrate it is normally due to the process of becoming a citizen taking too long and causing
them to become impatient or they re just not allowed at all. The United States has a problem with
illegal immigration and since this is a problem a couple solutions should be planned and worked on.
Today in the United States there seems to be a problem with getting a visa for those who want to
migrate to the U.S. legally and easily. If it were to be made effortless to enter then less people would
risk their lives trying to enter illegally. The border is easy enough to bypass that it encourages
dangerous crossings for people who just want in for an easy life for themselves or their children
(Walker and Zuckerman 1). The simplicity of getting a visa and immigrating with it should be
improving over time like technology does all over the world. If the border were to be improved it can
prevent many crossings and force them to find legal ways on immigrating into the country (Walker
and Zuckerman 2). The easier it is to cross the border, the more that will do attempt it for an easier
life. This can be a problem on monitoring who is immigrating into the U.S. and if they re peaceful
beings or terrorists. If they are terrorists and they pass

William Bill Edwards plans for the waterfront stadium is ambitious, it requires voter approval.
Edwards, working with community leaders indicated he will not pursue a referendum on the project

The Rights Of The Copyright And Licensing
No artwork exhibited in an open display is invulnerable; anytime an artwork becomes known, it is
predisposed to relative alterations, falsifications, and reuse by other artists. Countless art movements
are fashioned around the revision of earlier works and representations. As an artist, one must accept
the unavoidable fact that one day there will probably be alterations to their artwork. Once the great
Pablo Picasso argued that: Bad artists copy. Good artists steal . In this essay it will be explained the
rules governing the copyright and licensing. The emphasis of this essay will be also focusing on what
are the steps to follow to grant a license to a third party in order to make it liable to use my own work

Besides, under work for hire the company holds the copyright, not the artist or inventor. In such
contexts, the creator holds the moral rights to their work, comprising the right of acknowledgment.
There are different situations and rules that apply for disparate cases, all depending on the type of
commission given to the artist. For example; the commissioner may own the physical painting
hanging on their lounge room wall, however the artist nevertheless holds the copyright in the image of
that painting. The commissioner keeps the objective painting predisposed to the artist s copyrights,
and may not create prints or other duplicates from the image of the painting without the artist s
authorization.
Some areas of the law favor verbal and contractual agreements over copyright.
Copyright does not protect ideas, or styles the instant an idea or creative concept has been given
material form, it is documented, on paper or electronically; it is immediately covered by copyright.
Because it is automatic and free in Australia, there is no official registry or application process for
copyright protection.
Copyright is not a separate right , but reasonably a collection of rights. For all material which is
safeguarded by copyright, the copyright holder has the private right to replicate or create duplicates.
Varying on the nature of material, the copyright holder generally has other rights as well, as, to

King Arthur Chivalry
King Arthur is one of the most famous leaders in our world s history. No one knows whether or not
King Arthur ever existed. Either way, he still was very impactful on our world and continues to
influence our world today. Nick Bettis states, That future generations turned him into legend... That is
the real significance of King Arthur. We invented him because we have an inherent need for what he
represents. He symbolizes our ideals, which makes the most authentic part of us invested in his legacy.
King Arthur invented the idea of chivalry. Chivalry was a code used by the Knights of the Roundtable
that included various qualities that were to be expected in an ideal knight such as wisdom, courage,
temperance, and justice. All of the knights lived and died by this code. Many different texts written

Within this text, King Arthur and his army fight the army of his son, Sir Mordred. At the end of the
battle, King Arthur and Sir Mordred are tasked to fight each other. In the end, they kill each other, and
Arthur s sword, Excalibur, is returned to the Lady of the Lake. It would be very hard for a man to fight
his own son no matter how evil the son was. King Arthur believed it was his duty to face off with his
son. Arthur states, No, tide me death, tide me life. Now I see him yonder alone, he shall never escape
mine hands. For at a better avail shall I never have him. Arthur was determined to fight Sir Mordred
despite the fact that Mordred was his son. Arthur did the right and just thing when he fought his son.
Amy Farrell points out, The chivalric virtues of wisdom, faith, charity, and justice were among the
many ideals of the Knights Code of Chivalry in the Middle Ages. So Arthur was very chivalrous when
he fought his son. King Arthur knew it was he duty to fight his son, but it was also the just thing to do.
For this reason, Arthur was very chivalric in this

POlitical Campaign Advertising Essays
Since 1952, television has played a major role in presidential elections. Television allows candidates
to reach a broad number of people, and personalities, to help push along their campaigns. Campaigns
help the candidates just as much as the voters. The candidates get to be identified, and known to the
voters, and the voters get to hear and see how a specific candidate identifies with their needs and
wants. The best way to get this information out there is through the most used form of media,
television.
When candidates develop a plan of attack for campaign advertising, they tend to aim for at least four
types of commercials. One form or type of commercial is those which play on the fears of

During the 2004 election, President Bush s campaign ads showed him to be a leader and a strong
president in a time when leadership was needed. Kerry s ad showed him to be a people person, and a
person who connects with the citizen of this country.
Political parties also use ads that make there opponent out to be the bad guy, and often these ads come
from what their opponent has said in the past. Candidates use information from the past to display the
image that there opponent can not be trusted and will go back on his or her word. This is typically
called flip flopping . When candidates make there opponent out to be a flip flopper, the opponent is
making things worst for themselves. The Republican Party ran a series of ads that made Senator Kerry
look like a flip flopper, and I think the overall effective ness of those ads was a major factor in the
election, but Senator Kerry also stated his claims and told the voter how he fells on the very same
issues that the republican party made senator Kerry to look indecisive on.
Campaigns that are introducing a candidate to mainstream national coverage tend to run ads that will
show a candidates history and their background. These ads might list what some might call the
qualification needed to be in office. These ads usually show a record of good decision making,

Nature, Power, And Division Of A Tempest And The Tempest
Nature, Power, and Division in A Tempest and The Tempest
Humans have often struggled to define their relationship with nature throughout history. In the early
periods of their existence, humans were ruled by the brutality of untamed nature. They utilized nature
to an extent of survival, but had not yet developed a system to thrive within it. As humans advanced,
both mentally and technologically, their aptitude and desire to exploit nature increased dramatically.
These two polar relationships between humans and nature are mirrored in William Shakespeare s The
Tempest and Aimé Césaire s A Tempest. In The Tempest, Shakespeare fixates on Caliban s attachment
to nature and Prospero s exploitation of it, while in A Tempest, Césaire employs nature as the dividing
force between Caliban and Prospero. These two separate themes both represent the consequences that
occurred throughout history as a result of two ideologies about nature colliding during colonization.
Caliban s strong emotional attachment to the island in The Tempest motivates him to actively respect
nature. During Caliban s first interaction with Prospero in the play, he states, This Island s mine, by
Sycorax my mother. This assertion of dominion by Caliban sparks a desire for him to protect the
nature on the island. As a result, he values nature like it is an extension of himself and strives to
maintain harmony with it. Caliban follows this up by reminding Prospero, And then I loved thee and

  • 2. Jordan Athletic Footwear The athletic shoe industry stands one of the greatest and most profitable in the world. Currently, global annual athletic footwear revenues stand around $75B per year, with annual US consumers spending close to$20 billion. Unsurprisingly, the largest growth in the industry took place during the 1980 s and 1990 s, during Jordan s career in which the popularity of athletic and sport oriented casual shoes skyrocketed. Also not alarming is who the dominant player in the athletic footwear market is Nike. The market share of Nike and Jordan brands combined is routinely measured at close to 50% in this market, proving their sponsorship deal with Jordan in 1984 provided the springboard to which they never have looked back on. My family has an unofficial, tendency to go to at least one amusement park every year. Although we go quete frequently, this year my family is very indecisive on whether we should go to Disneyland or Six Flags. We have had many good and bad experiences at either park over the past few years. Two years ago we went to Disneyland for our family trip. It was a breathtaking experience. I remember when I first walked through the disney gates. Upon walking in, I immediately looked around in awe. As soon as I saw the signature Mickey Mouse head in the grass I instantaneously felt the vast amount of wonder and excitement ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If you re lucky, the day your family decides to go to Disneyland the lines will be shorter. Unfortunately for us we were not so lucky. Each line was at least an hour to an hour and a half long, especially for the rides that drew in a lot more children. While waiting my enthusiasm level for the ride slowly decreased but my anticipation level was still high. Once we were able to get aboard the ride, my family and I sat back and relaxed as the animated and moving simulators entertained us. Following the ride I felt better than before and I could tell my family did too. All of us couldn t be more happy. We kept this same trend for the rest of the day. Once we left the park we were all tired and sad to go. But I knew I would be able to share this amazing experience with others later on in life. Although the Disney trip was great, this past year we changed it up. We decided to go to Six Flags instead. I remember during the car ride and while waiting to get in the park I felt so anxious. I couldn t keep still. Upon arrival I could almost feel the immensity of the roller coasters towering over the park. Even my family was starting to feel apprehensive about going but we all soon got over it and decided to work our way up in intensity. So I grabbed a map and we all made our way through the ... Analysis Of The Movie Ballad Of Gregorio Cortez Borders Citizenship Rosalinda Castro Hispanics in the US 8:00 10:05am Midterm PART AAriana Ocho There cannot be a discussion about borders without also discussing the metaphors that are linked to them. When speaking about the border people know the physical borderlines between countries, but to understand borders one must look pass the physical boundaries. As a society we must be and make ourselves more aware of the cultural identity, language, and community surrounding the Latino American population. During the Mexican American War the border moved, but the people didn t. History has shown us that no matter how thick the border might be Latino Americans have a strong connection to their culture and roots; instead of assimilating, Mexicans live between two worlds. The film, Ballad of Gregorio Cortez gave us a perspective of two cultures; Two cultures the Anglo and the Mexican lived side by side in state of tension and fear . Cortez is running for his life as he heads north, while the Anglo believe that because of his Mexican ethnicity, he would travel south to Mexico. Throughout the film there were cultural tensions and misunderstandings; language plays an important part of someone s identity, and for many Latino Americans Spanish is their first language. The Ballad of Gregorio Cortez also shows us that language plays an important role, and can cause confusion between two different groups. For example, Anglos refer to a male ... Things like soil erosion, bad education system, illiteracy, unemployment, inadequate roads, water systems, sewerage, and medical services are also some of the causes of Haiti s despair. There will always be someone else trying to sell your product for less money. Many monopolies are enforced by government. One example would be operating a cab in New York City. You would need a government issued medallion. The number of medallions are fixed which develops profits for initial owners. The profits are not because of talents or resources, instead these profits come by the absence of government enforcement of the medallion requirement. The government enforcement of monopolies is an attempt to solve market failure. An example would be New York City enforcing the medallion rules because they are under the assumption that if they don t restrict cabs, there would be a lot more traffic jams in the city. It anticipates that it will sell under a patent over some period of time and cover the development cost. If you take away the monopoly it takes away the motivation to produce better drugs. So if markets are not competitive then greed isn t really a problem. It is only a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Essay on Claims by Judith Ortiz Claims by Judith Ortiz Judith Ortiz Cofer is a Puerto Rican whose writing often examines the conflict and the beauty of cultures mixing together, as people immigrate to America. Though she exhibits a strong connection to her Latin heritage, she often seems to also resent that part of her life. There are many standards and expectations in the Puerto Rican society which Cofer writes to subvert, viewing them negatively. As a Puerto Rican woman, Cofer often disagrees with the limits and expectations placed on a woman in Puerto Rican society, and this attitude is the subject of much of her work. Examining Claims on another lever, one finds messages speaking out against the portrayal of a good woman in Puerto Rican societies. Women are expected to sacrifice every aspect of their own lives for their husbands and children. The Grandmother accepted her role in society, but always had dreams of claiming her own life. Grandmother made a promise when she was married, and she kept her promise. She raised five children and led a life committed to a husband who was expected by society to wander. But all along, Grandmother had dreamed of the day when she could secure her freedom. She dreamed of sleeping in her own bed and simply being herself. Her dream is finally realized in old age, as described in the poem. Grandmother claimed the right to be herself and live her life. Her days were constantly occupied by caring for her children and her nights were always invaded by her husband s presence. Now that her family has all moved on, Grandmother has her house and her life for herself. Each right that she has claimed has multiple meanings about her life and society, her dreams and true personality. The first right, that of sleeping alone and owning her nights, describes an internal conflict which Grandmother carried. While she truly loved her family, she yearned for space and freedom. Relative to the value of the contract at the current exchange rate, £1,057,500 x 1.4370 $/£ = $1,519,627.50 Dozier would accepting a reduction in the revenue from the contract of $1,519,627.50 $1,501,438.50 = $18,198.00 or $18,198 / $1,519,627.50 = 1.20% Money Market Hedge: In this case, Dozier would borrow an amount of British pounds that would obligate Dozier to a principal and interest payment in three months that ... Note that none of this really solves Dozier s problem; but there is a theory that in well functioning markets, the results from the two formulas should be equal. In other words, it shouldn t make a difference whether you hedge in the forward market or in the money market. However this theory is based on comparing apples to apples. • 18. Nuclear Weapons And Nuclear Proliferation Committee 9 Nuclear Proliferation Vanuatu (A) Brief Background of the Topic 1.) What is the historical background of this topic? Nuclear Proliferation is defined as the rapid spread or increase of nuclear weapons. Nuclear Proliferation has been a conflict worldwide for years. It all started during the Cold War, when the Soviet Union and the United States competed to obtain more nuclear weapons. As the Cold War continued, France, Britain, and China all began to develop their own nuclear technology. On July 1, 1968, the Treaty on the Non Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons was signed and entered into force in 1970. Under this treaty, a total of 190 parties have agreed to help prevent the spread of nuclear weapons. A few years later, the Strategic Arms Limitation Talks non proliferation act (SALT 1) was signed on May 26, 1972 and entered into force on October 3, 1972. After several years of struggle, the Cold War ended in December 1991. 2.) What nations are directly involved in this issue? The top contributors of nuclear proliferation include countries like the United States and Russia (formerly Soviet Union). These two countries were the first to obtain and test nuclear weapons. They are responsible for more than 93% of all operational nuclear warheads. United Kingdom, France, China, India, Pakistan, Israel, and North Korea all created nuclear arsenals to attain these weapons of mass destruction. Louis began working with two acids commonly found in the sediments of fermenting wine. Tartaric acid and paratartaric acid were found a few years earlier to have the same chemical composition, but there was something about these two acids that were different and Louis sought to find the answer. He found that in solution the two rotated polarized light differently, while tartaric acid rotated polarized light to the right, paratartaric acid did not rotate the light at all. He then began to study the crystals of each acid under his microscope and noticed that some of the crystals in paratartaric acid were slightly different from that of tartaric acid. • 28. King Arthur Chivalry King Arthur is one of the most famous leaders in our world s history. No one knows whether or not King Arthur ever existed. Either way, he still was very impactful on our world and continues to influence our world today. Nick Bettis states, That future generations turned him into legend... That is the real significance of King Arthur. We invented him because we have an inherent need for what he represents. He symbolizes our ideals, which makes the most authentic part of us invested in his legacy. King Arthur invented the idea of chivalry. Chivalry was a code used by the Knights of the Roundtable that included various qualities that were to be expected in an ideal knight such as wisdom, courage, temperance, and justice. All of the knights lived and died by this code. Many different texts written about King ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In the end, they kill each other, and Arthur s sword, Excalibur, is returned to the Lady of the Lake. It would be very hard for a man to fight his own son no matter how evil the son was. King Arthur believed it was his duty to face off with his son. Arthur states, No, tide me death, tide me life. Now I see him yonder alone, he shall never escape mine hands. For at a better avail shall I never have him. Arthur was determined to fight Sir Mordred despite the fact that Mordred was his son. Arthur did the right and just thing when he fought his son. Amy Farrell points out, The chivalric virtues of wisdom, faith, charity, and justice were among the many ideals of the Knights Code of Chivalry in the Middle Ages. So Arthur was very chivalrous when he fought his son. King Arthur knew it was he duty to fight his son, but it was also the just thing to do. For this reason, Arthur was very chivalric in this ... Television allows candidates to reach a broad number of people, and personalities, to help push along their campaigns. Campaigns help the candidates just as much as the voters. The candidates get to be identified, and known to the voters, and the voters get to hear and see how a specific candidate identifies with their needs and wants. The best way to get this information out there is through the most used form of media, television. When candidates develop a plan of attack for campaign advertising, they tend to aim for at least four types of commercials. Political parties also use ads that make there opponent out to be the bad guy, and often these ads come from what their opponent has said in the past. Candidates use information from the past to display the image that there opponent can not be trusted and will go back on his or her word. This is typically called flip flopping . When candidates make there opponent out to be a flip flopper, the opponent is making things worst for themselves. The Republican Party ran a series of ads that made Senator Kerry look like a flip flopper, and I think the overall effective ness of those ads was a major factor in the election, but Senator Kerry also stated his claims and told the voter how he fells on the very same issues that the republican party made senator Kerry to look indecisive on. Campaigns that are introducing a candidate to mainstream national coverage tend to run ads that will show a candidates history and their background. • 35. Nature, Power, And Division Of A Tempest And The Tempest Nature, Power, and Division in A Tempest and The Tempest Humans have often struggled to define their relationship with nature throughout history. In the early periods of their existence, humans were ruled by the brutality of untamed nature. They utilized nature to an extent of survival, but had not yet developed a system to thrive within it. As humans advanced, both mentally and technologically, their aptitude and desire to exploit nature increased dramatically. These two polar relationships between humans and nature are mirrored in William Shakespeare s The Tempest and Aimé Césaire s A Tempest. In The Tempest, Shakespeare fixates on Caliban s attachment to nature and Prospero s exploitation of it, while in A Tempest, Césaire employs nature as the dividing force between Caliban and Prospero. These two separate themes both represent the consequences that occurred throughout history as a result of two ideologies about nature colliding during colonization. Caliban s strong emotional attachment to the island in The Tempest motivates him to actively respect nature. During Caliban s first interaction with Prospero in the play, he states, This Island s mine, by Sycorax my mother. This assertion of dominion by Caliban sparks a desire for him to protect the nature on the island. As a result, he values nature like it is an extension of himself and strives to maintain harmony with it.
