In search for new ideas to frame Platform Design as a discipline in a more global discourse regarding the digital market, I went in search of complementary theories: most of this research have been consolidated in this lecture

The Collaborative Economy is always depicted as a revolution coming from an increasing role of communities and collaboration: in reality, growing technology enablers give individuals totally new possibilities and potential and therefore the collaborative shift should be seen from this alternative, key point of view, that of leveraging the potential of ones, multiplied by platforms and collaborative processes.
In this process, modern capitalism encompasses the whole of te self in a natural evolution that was predicted by Karl Marx already. It's just cognitive capitalism and it's just starting.
The big question is: will this post-industrial capitalism evolve into... post-capitalism?

This presentation explains in a few slides how the convergence of new technologies and new habits and expectations is changing what the user expects from the firm and therefore the firm itself: this is digital transformation.
Firms are therefore evolving into post-industrial platforms, and to enable this transformation you need to move forward as an organization along three layers: technology platforms supporting your strategy, organizational design principles and building new innovation capabilities.

Mobile Choice-based Conjoint – A future promise or today‘s reality?SKIM
Mobile research is a rapidly growing addition to the traditional ways of performing research. In the new world, where the attention span of consumers is getting shorter and shorter, mobile conjoint provides the opportunity to explore fields previously unknown to choice modeling. This creates unique research opportunities, but it also comes with limitations. During this workshop we took attendees through a couple of those opportunities and show you how a ‘3-by-3 mCBC’ approach enables us to receive as valid results on mobile as a traditional conjoint survey.

Usability: whats the use? Presented by We are Sigma and PRWDNexer Digital
For websites, good usability is a matter of survival. If a website is difficult to use, people leave. If the homepage fails to clearly state what a company offers and what users can do on the site, people leave. If users get lost on a website, they leave. For intranets and applications the question is one of productivity. In many organisations employees waste inordinate amounts of time searching for and assimilating the information they need to do their jobs. This lost time has a real, tangible value so ROI for designing internal systems with User Experience in mind, and spending some time testing and improving the usability of the system, is pretty compelling.
As people with a strong User Experience focus we don’t need to be convinced of the value of good usability, but for many companies who are thinking of revamping their site, intranet or portal it isn’t quite so clear cut.

UX SA Conference 2015: Innovation Toolkit Phil Barrett
Uber, AirBnB, Wayz, SnapScan, WhatsApp, SnapChat… Those are some of the early winners in the wave digital change that’s sweeping the world. Those companies have innovated further, quicker than competitors and they’ve done it so well that the services they deliver seem “obvious” in hindsight. But to compete with them, and whatever comes next, your organisation is going to have to do something even more awesome.
It might not be very pretty.
Leading an organisation through the realities of innovation is hard. Organisations are typically well adapted to doing what they do, they way they’ve always done it. Real, transformative innovation asks them to leave that behind. It feels equal parts crazy and terrifying. It needs focus, nerve, and yet also heaps of humility.
It helps if you know where you are, secure the time and support you need to succeed, use good ideation methods and conduct proper experiments.
In this 90 minute session we’ll draw on techniques from the world of lean startup and design thinking and look at:
- Some words you can use to get managers to tackle innovation
- How to structure and negotiate the right space for innovation to succeed in your organisation
- Techniques to maximise the chances of generating amazing ideas
- How to deal with differences of opinion and prioritise the right choices
- How to think and talk about experiments and failure

The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.

Of which 45 cows, 55 buffalos, 68 goats, 60 sheep and 85 shaver chicken were tested. Among these 40 (88.88%) cows were negative and 05 (11.12%) were positive. Similarly 55 (92.72%) buffalos were negative and 04 (07.28%) were positive. In goats 68 (98.52%) were negative and 01 (01.48%) was recorded positive. In sheep and shaver chicken the infection were not recorded.
"Understanding the Carbon Cycle: Processes, Human Impacts, and Strategies for...MMariSelvam4
The carbon cycle is a critical component of Earth's environmental system, governing the movement and transformation of carbon through various reservoirs, including the atmosphere, oceans, soil, and living organisms. This complex cycle involves several key processes such as photosynthesis, respiration, decomposition, and carbon sequestration, each contributing to the regulation of carbon levels on the planet.
Human activities, particularly fossil fuel combustion and deforestation, have significantly altered the natural carbon cycle, leading to increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and driving climate change. Understanding the intricacies of the carbon cycle is essential for assessing the impacts of these changes and developing effective mitigation strategies.
By studying the carbon cycle, scientists can identify carbon sources and sinks, measure carbon fluxes, and predict future trends. This knowledge is crucial for crafting policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing carbon storage, and promoting sustainable practices. The carbon cycle's interplay with climate systems, ecosystems, and human activities underscores its importance in maintaining a stable and healthy planet.
In-depth exploration of the carbon cycle reveals the delicate balance required to sustain life and the urgent need to address anthropogenic influences. Through research, education, and policy, we can work towards restoring equilibrium in the carbon cycle and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.
WRI’s brand new “Food Service Playbook for Promoting Sustainable Food Choices” gives food service operators the very latest strategies for creating dining environments that empower consumers to choose sustainable, plant-rich dishes. 11. Traditional type of testing is done either in a laboratory or
with a finalized product after r&d.
The new way of testing is doing in real environments with
real users. Testing is a central method of development
throughout the process, starting from the very early phases.
What is testing?
12. 1. Because with complex new issues, you can not plan
2. Because it is the end-users who decide if the product is good
or not
3. Because testing makes you fast
4. Because testing helps you to convince your partners and
investors that you have something that is more than an idea
Why is testing necessary?
