Smart cards can hold up to 32KB of data and have encryption capabilities. They provide security for banking, mobile payments, and ID verification. Smart cards use microprocessors and memory to store and process encrypted data for transactions and access control through card readers. They provide flexibility, security, portability and increasing storage capacity compared to magnetic stripe cards.
Right now, in most of the countries, inside the people ’s wallet, they probably have a the
couple of credit cards, an identification card, automatic machine teller cards (ATM card), and maybe a few other plastic cards. Without realizing it, these plastic cards havebecome a very important part of their life. Although smart card technology improves security and convenient but it is not used in a wide range in Middle East countries.
User acceptance is vital for further development of any fresh technology and smart card technology as well. One of the factors that can effect on the acceptance of smart card technology is users’ awareness. The goal of this study is to present a general overview of smart card technology and identify the smart card’s benefits, features and characteristics and moreover, the level of users’ knowledge and awareness about smart card technology will be evaluated. In order to achieve this goal, a survey was conducted among the international students of University Technology Malaysia to measure their awareness of smart technology

These sectors can contain information for various applications – such as access control, cashless vending, mass transit, and payment systems – securely separated from one other by security keys. This presentation will explain the lesson learned from banking and card payment industry how the embedded systems process financial transaction reliably and securely.
The project sets sight on authenticating the conventional Credit card transaction system. In the prevailing system though the Credit card paves a convenient mode of transactions, it is subjected to more jeopardy. As technology extends its limit, the way of hacking and cracking also goes along the road. In out proposed system, in every transaction with the Credit card a handshaking signal is achieved with the cardholder. The handshaking method is achieved by transferring the transaction time and the purchase details to the mobile of the cardholder by means of a GSM modem. From the acknowledgement and authentication received from the cardholder’s mobile further transaction proceeds. The system used the MCU for the security issues between the Mobile and the Card. Reports can also be generated for every successful authentication.

This process designs 10 digit keypad with random RGB color SCHEME using a Fast Finite-State Algorithm for
Generating RGB Palettes of Color. In this work, we propose a color finite-state LBG (CFSLBG) algorithm that
reduces the computation time by exploiting the correlations of palette entries between the current and previous
iterations.
The system uses smart card technology to identify the authorized personnel and then process all the passport details pertaining to him/her, for necessary verification by authorities concerned.
