These skills helped her create a professional-looking final product. She plans to improve her proficiency with these tools. and make sure our final product

Photoshop and also equipment
such as, camera’s and tripods.

By using Final Cut we were able
to edit our final product, adding
text, cutting out parts we didn’t
need and also adding audio. We
used Photoshop at certain times
to edit pictures we had taken or
collected from the internet.
I am going to be using these
software’s more often therefore I
will improve on my skills and
hopefully make any final
products more professional.

2. Research and Planning

preparing to film your
sequence?
- How did your planning
help the smooth
progression of your film?
For the planning of our final
product we made an animatic,
shooting schedule, call sheets,
reece shots, script risk
assessment etc.
These skills contributed to the
creation of our final product by
keeping us organized. The
shooting schedule helped us a lot
as we knew exactly when and
where we need to shoot our film.
The animatic and script helped
us get the storyline in order.
I will develop these skills during
my A2 project because I will
have a better understanding of
how to create them with no
difficulty.

- Did you take any
inspiration from the
conventions found from
your research?
-Sunset boulevard
-Drama
-Black and white film, which
shows us that it, is quite old.
Mise en scene – all suits for the
press, which is more
professional, and also the old
fashioned camera.
We were creating a similar kind
of film with the same genre so
we used the skills we had gained
to help us in the making of our
own.
I will have a better
understanding of what mise en
scene is needed and also the kind
of music used might help.

- Were your ideas for your
portfolio imaginative and unique
or did you adhere to
conventions?
My ideas for my portfolio were
quite imaginative however I did
follow some conventions to help
me with the skills I had obtained.
The skills I had attained came in
very helpful and contributed to
the making of my final product
because I understood what
needed to be done and I referred
to conventions when I became
puzzled.
I will develop these creative
skills I achieved from last year to
help with this year by being
creative with my ideas and
making them distinctive and also
following conventions.
