This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

1. Evaluation- Q4
How did you use new media technologies in
the construction and research, planning and
evaluation stages?
2. Construction Process- Technology used
- Final Cut Pro
- iTunes
- Photoshop
- Illustrator
- Paint
- Google Images
- Digital Cameras
- Lighting Equipment
3. How did we use these technologies?
Final Cut Pro - We uploaded all our video footage into
Final Cut Pro and used many functions and tools to
create our teaser trailer. For example: the transition
options
4. Final Cut Pro
We used it to create our
company ident. We had
a wide range of ident
options to choose from
to ensure it looked
professional.
5. Final Cut Pro
We were able to put a time
lapse on one of our clips
using a tool on final cut
pro that shortened a 5
minute clip to about 3
seconds which was very
effective and was a good
way of showing time
passing.
6. Final Cut Pro
We were able to put a
soundtrack over our clip
that we downloaded. Final
Cut Pro allowed us to
match the length of the
soundtrack to our clip. It
also provided a number of
sound effects that we
could use, for example, the
gunshot.
7. Adobe Photoshop
We used photoshop to make our
magazine and our poster. The
high number of different tools
that there is on photoshop
allowed us to keep both products
professional and realistic.
8. Adobe Photoshop
The magic eraser tool
allowed us to cut out
the characters in our
poster and place them
onto a background. The
layering tool allowed us
to add in other images
from the internet on to
our poster.
9. Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Illustrator allowed us to put the text
onto our magazines and posters using
professional fonts and colours.
The fonts on illustrator ensured the billing
block on our poster looked professional.
10. Distribution Process- Technologies used
- YouTube was the key part of
our distribution as it allowed
our audience to view our final
teaser trailer in high quality
and easily.
12. Evaluation Process
Emaze- Emaze
allowed me to
evaluate my
work in a visual
and exciting way
using a template
the website
provides.
Prezi- Prezi provides a
wide range of different
templates that make
presentations
interesting and
engaging for the
reader.
SlideShare- This is a
website that allowed
me to upload my
presentations to my
journal by getting an
embed code.
Google Docs- This allowed
me to easily access my work
both inside college and at
home as well as easily
uploading the presentations
to my journal using an
embed code.
