The Importance Of Family Dynamics
Over the last 50 years, the meaning of family has changed and people of today s world struggle to
define family. Henslin et al (2014), defines family as two or more people who consider themselves
related by blood, marriage or adoption (p. 428). Due to the changes, this has also had an impact on
family dynamics, which is now seen as complex. Family Dynamics has been defined as the patterns of
relating, or interactions, between family members (Psychologytoday.com, healthychildren.org 2017).
These concepts are everlasting; therefore, they develop as society does. Family dynamics are ever
changing by improving or disadvantaging today s community. The family has changed in multiple
ways from 50 years ago such as the roles of members of the family and the structure of families. The
difference between families then and now is more prominent in the modern Australian society.
The roles of parents and children have changed such as who is the leader, caretaker, provider. 50 years
ago, the father was the dominant one in the family (Henslin 2014 p. 429 Brandth, B, Halrynjo, S
Kvande, E 2017). Traditionally the father would be the one who would support the family financially.
And the women s role would be to do the housework, take care of the kids and cook (Henslin 2014 p.
432 Brandth, B, Halrynjo, S Kvande, E 2017). Whereas, now the Australian parents are slowly
becoming equal (Henslin 2014 p. 430). They are becoming equal as there are now men are now

Early American Indian Pottery History
Introduction Ceramic making is still a popular tradition today in the Americas, especially on Native
Indian Reservations, like in Western, North Carolina. The use of ceramics, however, is quite different
than the way it was used by the natives during the Middle Woodland Period. Today, pottery is mainly
made for decoration or art purposes by modern day Americans, but according to Wallis (2011), about
3,000 years ago the use of pottery became a very common use and practiced tradition among the
native people who lived during that time period. The Swift Creek culture and the Cherokee Indians
had very similar methods in formulating ceramics. The archaeological findings of these artifacts states
that one group had been more advanced designs on their vessels. This reason is most likely because of
the materials that one group was able to access in their area that the other group did not have
available. One group was also more traditional and spiritual in making their vessels, which caused
them to create more complex designs and methods while designing their ceramics (Block 2005). By
looking at the similarities of both groups pottery styles, archaeologists were able to determine the
minor but very distinctive differences, that one group processed in their art, than the other. By
comparing each group s ceramics by looking at ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
100 and 900 (Pluckhahn 2007). The decorations on the pottery that was being produced by the Swift
Creek culture, became unusual overtime (Smith et all. 2009). Radiocarbon dates from the number of
sites archaeologists have excavated containing Swift Creek pottery suggests the time range of their
pottery is approximately 20 B.C. to A.D. 805 (Pluckhahn 2007). The pottery style changed heavily
over time, because Swift Creek vessels first started off as deep jars with notched rims and then their
pottery cultivated into bowl forms with folded rims (Smith et all.

The s Influence On The World s Music Today
Though Norway has a small population of only 5.3 million inhabitants, its musical culture is just as
rich as many other countries. From classical and folk, to blues, country, electronic, hip hop, pop, rock,
and metal, Norway s traditions contribute to all of them. Although Scandinavia is often overlooked, it
has a strong influence on all of the world s music today. Archaeological digs have shed light on some
unknown history of Norwegian music by revealing artifacts including instruments such as the lur. The
lur, having been seen on ancient Scandinavian rock paintings, is a five to eight foot long bronze
blowing horn. Having been found in Norway, Denmark, South Sweden, and even Northern Germany,
these instruments are cast into many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He traveled throughout Europe while composing in order to incorporate Norwegian rural tradition as
well as European culture into his music. Today he is highly celebrated in his hometown, with several
statues and locations dedicated to his work.
Another influential musician in Norway, Johan Svendsen, was a composer, conductor, and violinist.
Svendsen was known for composing larger scale orchestras and ensembles, while Grieg composed for
smaller instrumental ensembles. Svendson s most famous work is his Romance for violin and
orchestra. Although Svendsen was extremely popular in Norway and Denmark, winning several
awards and honors, these honors did not help his music spread very widely.
Folk music in Norway has been passed down for hundreds of years. It isn t easy to completely
describe Norwegian traditional music, with many specialized dialects from area to area. Few European
traditional music genres have as rich a variety of dialects as the Norwegian ones. There are many
opinions about what defines traditional music, but most Norwegian traditional music is in one of two
categories: instrumental and vocal. Instrumental folk music is typically used for dancing and is called
slĂĽtter in Norwegian. There are two types of these dance melodies two beat and three beat. These folk
dances, usually performed by couples, are very social. Other

A Nation Essay
A Nation
A nation is said to exist when it could traced its origins through the state, in which it associate itself
with, histories. Additionally, the cultural elites must be established and well versed in writing and
speaking the national language. There must also be a valid reason for its claim on a certain territory. It
is only when these three requirements are fulfilled will the international community consider their
claim for a nation (Hobsbawm, 1990: 37). Disagreements, however, tend to arise in the political
community over the definition of a nation. This essay will try to list out the different approaches
employed in defining a nation starting from a nation being a natural cultural entity to it being
politically and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The question on why and how he makes his choice is irrelevant. It is only when he consented to
participate in the community will he readily conform to the community norms and values.
Society cultural consciousness would then play an important role in dictating the speed of his consent.
According to Herder, people become aware of their heritage when they read or listen to myths,
legends and even songs. By doing so, the community captures the Volgeist or the spirit of the people.
Language is thus seen as an important medium in spreading a community s culture as it contains
people traditions and historical memories. Therefore a nation is defined as the unification of people
through the sharing of the same cultural heritage (Heywood, 1997: 105).
This approach has been met with several criticisms. Firstly, according to Gellner the definition used is
too wide (Gellner, 1983: 53). By adopting the above criteria, any social network with the same
cultural norms and values are entitled to call themselves as a nation. This would include clubs or any
other associations. Another problem encountered by this definition is the impossibility of limiting
cultural boundaries. In addition to that Herder s claim of the unification of the people through a
common language could be dismissed as most nations have several national languages due to its
multicultural population. Switzerland, for example, has three

The Emperor s New Clothes Essay
Hans Christian Andersen s fable, The Emperor s New Clothes is a prophetic warning for our
generation. He understood 200 years ago how dangerous the contradiction of beliefs may be. In order
to have justice we need truth. Justice, in society today is presented as seemingly the most important
value, a cornerstone of civilization. At the same time people have stopped believing in absolute truth.
In the story, the townspeople decide whether or not they see the emperor s clothes, just like society
attempts to change the understanding of truth from objective to a relative one, based on individual
point of view. The tailors in the fable convince the town that only the wise are able to see the magic
clothes. In so doing they are dictating the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This dramatic change was achieved by a carefully designed campaign using courts, media, and a web
of lies to change public opinion. Nowadays the bubble zones around abortion clinics prevent pro life
counselors from informing parents about the dangers of abortion. At the same time, secular media
mostly ignores pro life awareness projects, and presents an exclusively biased pro abortion point of
view. The many lies about abortion are created to convince everyone that the procedure is completely
harmless, normal, and should be accepted as a basic human right. Pro choice activists promote
abortion as an insignificant surgical procedure contrary to established scientific facts. Health risks
include hemorrhage, infections, a higher risk of breast cancer and even death. Abortion not only harms
the woman physically, but can also have a lifelong emotional and mental fallout on the whole family.
In masking evil as good, society distorts the truth in the abortion debate, and since truth is a
requirement for justice, we need to reveal it. When the Emperor struts through town with no clothes
on, he is still praised by the townspeople, even though he is naked. In the same way, the promoted
politically correct view approves and supports abortion as inconspicuously named woman s right to

What Is the Current Laws Relating to the Implication of...
The current Victorian laws on the implication of the duty of good faith in commercial contracts run in
parallel with Commonwealth laws in this area. In both jurisdictions the law in respect to both the
scope and nature of the duty of good faith is relatively unsettled. Judicial and jurisdictional
discrepancies surrounding rulings on the duty of good faith is evident. This is the case even though the
High Court of Australia has acknowledged the existence and potential scope of the duty of good faith
as important issues It is yet to expressly consider the matter in detail . As such, debate in various
Australian authorities concerning the existence and content of the implied...duty of good faith and fair
dealing is commonplace. Each state s courts have delivered varying judgments on the scope,
interpretation and application of the implied duty of good faith in a commercial context. Victoria has
diverged most notably from the NSW interpretation whereby Victoria generally implies the duty of
good faith in fact rather than in law . Currently, there is much debate over what constitutes good faith .
However, both jurisdictions have tended to agree on the conflated nature of the concepts of the
implied terms of good faith and reasonableness and the obligation requiring parties to not act
capriciously . The courts also tend to share a reluctance to conclude that commercial contracts are of
the class which requires the universal implication of the duty of good faith . However,

Age Of Exploration Christopher Columbus
The Age of Exploration was a period of time from the 15th to 17th centuries where explorers started to
explore new lands and territories in order to find new trade routes. Europeans went west to explore
and claim the new world for their countries. The renaissance influenced these explorers to find new
lands and the reformation also influenced European explorers to spread their religion and try to
convert others to Christianity. Some of the most influential and key explores in this time period where
Christopher Columbus, Henry Hudson and Hernan Cortes.
Christopher Columbus was the one of the most influential explorers in the Age of Exploration. He was
the first European to explore the Americas. Columbus set off on his journey south from Palos Spain
with 3 ships. He believed that he would reach the edge of Japan in 10 days if he sailed west to
uncharted territory. Instead of being on the water for 10 days, he was on the water for about 30 days
and he found the americas. He landed in the bahamas and then claimed it for Spain. Christopher
Columbus should be viewed as a villain in history because he killed millions of the native Americans
with disease and overworking them. He captured thousands of natives and made them into slaves. He
also set in motion the Africans being put in the slavery. Even though he discovered the Americas he
murdered many lives. Christopher Columbus be a villain in history because of his horrible actions
towards the native people.

Sedimentary Rocks
1. Sedimentary rocks are made from different pieces of rocks and sediments. This happened through
the process of erosion and weathering. Every now and then animals get buried under sediments and
formed with the rock. As the tissues decay, the bone stay preserved in the rock because of the carbon
that release from the corpse. Sedimentary rocks can tell scientists about the fossil s habitat by the size
and formation of the rock. For example, one direction ripple marks indicate that the rock formed under
a river while ripple marks that move back and forth indicate the rock is formed in an ocean. If a fossil
is found in a rock that has one direction ripple marks it is most likely that the animal might have once
lived in a river. 2. Complete skeletons

The main function of the cardiac muscle is to pump blood around the body and essentially keep us

I Am Joaquin Poem Analysis
During the 1960 s, the Civil Rights Movement wasn t the only one occurring. Struggling to assimilate
into American culture, and suppressed by social injustices convicted by their Anglo counterparts, the
Chicano movement was born. In the epic poem I am Joaquin written by Rodolfo Gonzales in 1969, we
dive into what it means to be a Chicano. Through this poem, we see the struggles of the Chicano
people portrayed by the narrator, in an attempt to grasp the American s attention during the time of
these movements. Hoping to shed light on the issues and struggles the Chicano population faced,
Gonzales writes this epic in an attempt to strengthen the movement taking place, and to give Chicanos

Many times, these Chicanos were pushed off their lands and forced to try and survive elsewhere. I
owned land as far as the eye could see under the Crown of Spain, and I toiled on my earth and gave
my Indian sweat and blood for the Spanish master who ruled tyranny over man and beast and all that
he could trample. But... THE GROUND WAS MINE. This is what life was like before the Spanish
American War and before the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. This was life before Chicanos were
pushed off their land because Anglos fought the documents in court. This is before the treaty that was
supposed to protect their rights fell through. This is when life was hard, but it was a life they knew and
a struggle they lived with. Although Chicanos have endured many struggles, this is one they want to
fight for. Chicanos faced another problem along with their land being taken and being treated as
second class citizens. Assimilating into American culture was difficult. Do you keep in touch with the
roots of your homeland or do you change and adapt to the new ways of American culture? This was a
struggle for Chicanos and it was difficult to adapt. A new language and a new culture in a place they

In the modern day, it s easy to see man s need for technology. The need to surpass previous limits is
what drives society today in such a technologically advanced world. Although we continuously push

society in turn affects its development. The best place to start would be the CPU1, given they are

Yuki Tanaka s Japan s Comfort Women
This paper is a review of the book Japan s Comfort Women Sexual slavery and prostitution during

book deals with the thousands of Japanese, Korean, Chinese and other Asian and European women
who were victims of organized sexual violence and prostitution by means of comfort stations setup by
the Japanese military during World War II.
As we first get into the book, we find out that the origins of comfort stations i.e. military brothels are

Some other women however faced different routes.
Chinese and Filipina women were lured into these sexual schemes by not just deceit, but by force as
well. Recruiters used violence and often kidnapping to get these women. While the Japanese forces
had occupied China, they used Korean women for their authorized comfort stations for fear of anti
Japanese resentment among Chinese civilians. However, this did not stop some Japanese from setting
up comfort stations using Chinese women. These unofficial comfort stations were not given approval
from higher Japanese authority. The Japanese army adopted the tactics called Shodo Sakusen which
meant scorched earth strategy (p.46). This meant that the army could destroy any village if ordered too
which of course included the rape of women. This is an account of a 15 year old Chinese girl who
along with other girls, was abducted and separated from her family. Day after day they were raped by
Japanese soldiers in the cave. Each day she was raped by at least two or three soldiers sometimes by
10 soldiers. The cave was guarded by Chinese collaborators, making it impossible to escape. She was
often taken to an officer s room in the fortress and raped there, too (p.46). The Japanese also occupied
the regions of the Philippines and Filipina women were kidnapped and abducted as well by force and
were used as comfort women. The Filipino s had a lot of anti Japanese guerilla movements

Essay about Annie Proulx s Brokeback Mountain
Michael Warner states in his book The Trouble with Normal that the [American] culture has thousands
of ways for people to govern the sex of others, that a certain regulation of sexuality and desire can be
designed directly, through prohibition and regulation, and indirectly, by embracing one identity or one
set of tastes as though they were universally shared, or should be (Warner 1). According to Warner, the
logical process that follows such a regulation ensures a certain shame attaches to any taste that is not
universally shared. That this one taste should be shared implies that it is not universal. The taste that
must be converted in order to achieve a universal desire is, then, naturally marked with a stigmatized

To embrace shame is to leave the hierarchies of power, placement and governance.
Proulx tells the story of Ennis Del Mar and Jack Twist, two male cowboys in mid western America
who meet as teenagers on a Farm and Ranch Employment (Proulx 256) operation on Brokeback
Mountain in Wyoming. That summer, herding sheep on the mountain, the two men form a romantic
relationship of sorts, one that lasts for the next twenty years of their lives and is anything but
unproblematic.
While telling the story of the men s experience of love and sex on Brokeback Mountain, Proulx litters
images of markedness on the situation, blemishing the relationship between Ennis and Jack. In fact,
the name recognition of the characters alone embodies a rather informative degree of stigma. To name
a character Jack Twist is to create an entity beginning normally it starts with the very common, run of
the mill name Jack. To end that name with Twist is to directly change or mark the commonness and
normality that initiates the entity, with strong imagery of actual twisting and distorting. Too, Ennis Del
Mar (meaning, in Spanish, island of the sea ) is to create the image of a colored piece in the midst of a
constant, consistent blue form. In other words, Ennis Del Mar, like an island in the sea, creates a

To begin, The Coffee Crisis is about an acute coffee crisis and how it threatens millions of small
coffee farmers around the world and is putting economic growth, as well as social and political
stability, at risk in scores of coffee producing countries in Central and South America, Africa and Asia.
In 2004, the governments of coffee producing countries were considering how to respond to the
dramatic decline in coffee prices caused in part by a large increase in coffee production in Brazil and
Vietnam. Coffee was the main source of income for roughly 25 million farmers, mostly small land
holders, in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Coffee prices had hit 40 year lows in 2001 and had

The crisis in the coffee sector continues. Its impact cannot be understated, since coffee constitutes the
livelihood of an estimated 25 million families around the world. In world trade, coffee is the second
leading commodity, after petroleum. The worldwide coffee market spans some 71 countries, of which
51 are significant producers and 20 are key consumers. Prices have not kept up with production costs
to the extent needed to make participation in the coffee business profitable for most producers, even
though the crop year 2003 2004 witnessed a worldwide decrease in production. (Central America The
Coffee Crisis: Effects and Strategies for Moving Forward, 1992) In coffee producing countries, which
account for over 26% of world consumption, the situation is more diverse. In some countries, prices of
coffee have fallen in local currency and consumption may therefore be stimulated. In Brazil, the
largest coffee market among producing countries, the devaluation of the real has maintained prices of
green coffee at pre crisis levels. As a whole, consumption in these markets is not expected to suffer
any major negative impact. The root cause of the coffee crisis can be linked to three factors: over
production; under consumption; and market oligopoly. In short, these are all problems associated with
the economics of coffee farming. Without resolution, they will lead to both social and environmental
breakdowns. (Central America The

The Bell Curve Dilemma And Performance Appraisal
The Bell curve conundrum
It is a well established fact that employed human capital provides the competitive edge to the firms
operating in the same competitive space. Organizations that have motivated and talented individuals
are likely to forge ahead of the pack, even if they have similar products or services. That is why it is
important that we manage the performance of the employees well. We discuss the goals to be achieved
during the year; provide feedback to employees on their progress and modify the direction as the year
progresses and organizational direction shifts. At the end of the performance year, start pulling
together information and evidence of how well the employees have achieved the goals. Then apply a
rating which will govern their payouts, promotions and compensation and create development plans
for the next year. We cannot fathom anything to go wrong in this textbook laid process. It has been a
best practice after all! But somehow performance appraisal is the most hated organizational practice
by the employees. No one is ever happy with the results of their performance appraisals. Many solid,
successful, and happy employees find their ratings discouraging. At the same time we find the
managers and HR to be fidgeting uncomfortably even after doing everything they could to ensure that
the performers are well fitted in the bell curve. There has to be a better way. Have the companies like
Microsoft, Cisco, Accenture and IBM found the better way by doing

Since the age of six my favorite national soccer team has been Mexico. Soccer came to Mexico by
European industrial workers and Spanish Civil War exiles at the end of the 19th century. It was then
used by industrial companies as a way to instill unskilled workers with modern labor practices such as
cooperation with other employees and competition. Due to this, many of the early football teams such
as Pachuca, America, and Necaxa were associated with industrial companies. The sport appealed to
workers because it gave them new identities, cost little, and provided entertainment along with

Biomedical Ethics Involving Cultural Research
One Benin girl stood at the shinny bared glass window looking out at the luscious green trees and
bright grass. She itched and itched and itched, all the while looking out at what she could not have.
The doctor came in saying, I m sorry but you just can t go outside. With your Buruli Ulcer case, you
could die within minutes by an infection. There was nothing she could say, so she just nodded. His
footsteps echoed as he walked out of her stainless white room, with a sullen expression on his face.
She knew that he just wanted to help her but every time she heard those footsteps it crushed her heart
because there was always bad news. With her arms bare of skin she sat down on the bed and lay ...

One hypothesis is that since it is so easy to transmit to animals this may be why so many people have
gotten BU.
Even though BU has been reported in 33 countries there are only 15 that have been documented as
having a significant amount of cases. In those 15 countries there have been between 5,000 6,000
reported/documented cases of BU (Mycobacterium, www.who.int). Most patients, with this disease,
are younger than 15 years old (Buruli Ulcer, Nigeria). In Benin over half of the BU patients are
children.
There are so many poor families in Benin, and that makes it hard for them to take their children to
hospitals, which is why a lot of the patients that go to the hospitals have already had the disease for 2
4 months (Small). If the patient was caught in the early stages of the disease then about 80% of those
patients could be cured by a combination of antibiotics (Mycobacterium, www.who.int). For poor
families it isn t only that they may not have insurance but it is also the traveling that is an issue. In

Choosing the right car can be difficult when one is trying to choose the right make or model. When it

The Beliefs Of Judaism, Zionism And Judaism
There will always be differences in religion, history has shown us that. No one can ever be truly
correct; someone will always interject or disagree and there will always be conflict when it comes to
religions. Whether it comes down to debates, or even wars have been fought because of difference in
religion. One religion in particular follow the same doctrine, but have different views on it, and that
religion is Judaism. In Judaism, there are the secular Zionistic Jews and then there are True Torah
Jews. Both believe in the same thing, but the way they carry it out is very different. The first question
is, where did Zionism come from and how did it become popular? Zionism all started with a man
name Theodore Herzl about one hundred years ago, and he got the great idea of starting a movement
of taking the sacred True Torah Judaism and changing it a little bit. He wanted to start a branch of the
religion and make it more secular, by not studying the Torah, and making Judaism more territorial by
thinking that this religion should be in one area and that is modern day Jerusalem, or Israel. Instead of
being like most religions where they want to spread the word and go out and convert others into what
they believe. Zionist think that they should cut everyone off and go back to the promise land. Laura
Wharton, of the Jerusalem City Council, wrote about Zionism and said Theodor Herzl s vision was of
Israel as a haven for the Jewish people (p75). Laura touched base on Theodor did

Essay about Catharine Maria Sedgewick s Hope Leslie
Catharine Maria Sedgewick s Hope Leslie
The title character of Catharine Maria Sedgewick s novel, Hope Leslie, defies the standards to which
women of the era were to adhere. Sedgewick s novel is set in New England during the 17th century
after the Puritans had broken away from the Church of England. Hope Leslie lives in a repressive
Puritan society in which women behave passively, submit to the males around them, and live by the
Bible. They allow the men of their family to make decisions for them and rarely, if ever, convey an
opinion that differs from the status quo. However, Hope Leslie does not conform to the expected
behavior of women during that time, behavior that only further expressed the supposed superiority of
males. Hope ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The situation that exemplifies Hope s assertiveness is when Hope asks Winthrop to free Magawisca, to
which he replies that she speaks unadvisedly. She continues on, telling Winthrop that he should release
Magawisca based on her merits, and rights, to which he replies, you have lost right suddenly that
humble tone (287). Hope is bold in asking the governor for the release of an Indian whose family is
responsible for the massacre of a city. Her outspoken and assertive attitude are highly unusual for the
typical woman in the Puritan society.
Hope is one of the few women of the novel who does not rely on the scripture to inform her of what is
right and wrong. She is entirely capable of thinking for herself and does not need to refer to the Bible
to find out if she should or should not do something. Esther, when asked what she would have done in
Hope s situation on the island, replies, I would rather...thou hadst trusted thyself wholly to...
Providence... instead of acting like the Virgin Mary (286). Esther would rather Hope not have taken
the necessary steps to get off the island, and to stay there praying to God for safety. Hope, unlike
Esther, does not need scripture to authorize her actions. This is evident when Everell asks Esther for
help in freeing Magawisca, to which she replies that scripture does not allow that action. Everell
mutters to himself, Hope Leslie! how thy unfettered soul would have answered such an

William Blake The Lamb Meaning
William Blake s The Lamb is a part of the Songs of Innocence (1789) and was later accompanied by a
larger work, the Songs of Experience (1794). Blake expressed what he believed, and he wanted to
prove his true understanding of Christianity. His audience for his poem understood Christianity and
were familiar with the Bible. The poem establishes the theme of the vulnerability of innocence and a
vision of the speaker. The child s view is limited on account of unawareness of the total reality of
human knowledge. The voice of the poem is formed from a speaker that seems to be an innocent child,
communicating with a lamb who is unable to answer or respond to the child. The rhyme scheme is
similar to that of Dr. Seuss, it is like a nursery rhyme, and also a riddle. This is one of William s
simpler poems, but with a closer analysis it reveals hidden symbols, meaning, tones, and wordplay.
William Blake writes The Songs of Innocence, so this poem is obviously going to relate to some kind
of innocence. It is revealed in the second stanza when the speaker addresses the lamb as if it knows
who made it, and who gave it all of its features. However, the lamb or child does not answer, but of
course it would not answer. This then causes the speaker to answer his own questions. Which proves
that the lamb is too innocent to answer for itself. Dost thou know who made thee? /Little Lamb I ll tell
thee (10 11). This displays the wordplay in the poem because the reader asks questions and then

There is a debate among scientists as to whether barefoot or shod conditions are more beneficial to a
runner. Yan, et al, 2012 carried out a systematic review comparing the effects barefoot and shod
conditions, their aim was to clarify the effects of shoes on the most generally used variables associated
with impact analysis of the lower limb. They concluded that there was insufficient evidence to draw

History Is Brimming With Great Accomplishments And Great...
History is brimming with great accomplishments and great mistakes. Thomas Edison once replied
when asked why he continued working after so many failures, I didn t fail, I found 10,000 ways that
didn t work. This is a contrary view to the ignorant being condemned to repeating the past. People
who are familiar with the past simply do not make the same mistakes. Of course they wouldn t
because they know how NOT to accomplish their goals. Another way of looking at the past is tan
alternate phrase, Hindsight is 20/20. It captures the idea that past mistakes were made and remains
ambiguous whether those mistakes will or will not be made during similar future events. The Closing
of the Thompson Street Pool doesn t exactly fall under the category of something that those who are
ignorant of the past being doomed to repeat unless you consider the outcome and what was done to
reach it. The only people who could learn anything from it are the government officials in charge of
the budget, but let s face it, the government never learns from it s mistakes. If that were the case, our
government would work on fixing our own financial problems before sending billions of dollars
overseas to rebuild countries that we were at war with after EVERY war. Shouldn t the people who

Racism Is A Hate Crime In America
Racism is a hate crime Racism has been a problem in the United States of America for a long time,
dating back to early America when the Native Americans were often attacked, harassed, and killed.
Another early problem of racism is the African slave trade. Enslaving and trading the African people
amongst white people also helped contribute to the environment of a racist culture in America by
demoralizing the African races and teaching white Americans that they are better than the African
races. Although the civil rights of African Americans have improved over the last few decades and
America now has an African American president, racism still has a strong presence. A common
modern trend in America is incidental racism, which is giving other races equal opportunity and using
other elements to justify racist behavior. Racism kills and at the same time saves the people. Racism is
likely to kill people internally by damaging their emotions and well being as a human being. Nobody
likes to be at the end of the stick of racism, people would rather be able to live their lives free of
racism. I see racism as a criminal violence only because it s an evil force really. Of course, someone
does not have to be racist because they are violent, or violent because they are racist, but I feel like
racism is a crime and should be treated as such. I feel like most hate crimes are mainly because
someone hates the other race. Hate crimes are increasing yesterday, today, and will

Ethics And Ethical Impacts Of Information And...
There are various areas in which ethics and laws have extremely impacted the regulation and use of
Information Systems. Over the years of the existence of the internet and Information Systems, there
have been cases reported of an individual s privacy being breached by another person who has access

Philosophy: In most countries of the world, the information revolution has altered many aspects of life

However, there are ethical and legal areas that are lacking and enforcing of regulations and laws is still
proving to be a challenge. The one specific area I feel this way about is that of safety. Many
Information Systems that exist have more than once been a victim to an attempted or successful
hacking attempt and this usually leads to theft of data, identity and money in the case of financial
Information Systems. Information System security is an area that needs to be improved. This can be
iterated by the following quote from useoftechnology.com: With tools like the internet, hackers have
found it very easy to hack into any computer or system as long as it is connected on internet. Hackers
can easily use an IP (Internet Protocol) address to access a user s computer and collect data for selfish
reasons. (useoftechnology.com)
One of the largest breaches occurred at Yahoo in 2015 and 2016 which compromised over 1 billion
user s personal information including myself. It was recently released that every single customer
account was hacked which equated to over 3 billion accounts including email, Tumblr, Fantasy, and

The Causes And Trends Of Crime
Introduction
Crime is a very prominent issue. Most of us know someone who has been a victim of a crime, has
committed a crime or have committed a crime ourselves. News outlets are filled with crime stories.
Television shows depict criminals and the agencies trying to bring criminals to justice. Being such a
dominant part of life, it is essential that we take a deeper look into the causes and trends of crime.
Discussion of Theory
I believe there are many different motivating factors as to why people commit crimes. There are a few
theories that I learned in criminology that coincide with my own personal beliefs. I believe
components from strain theory , differential association theory , and labeling theory have valid points.
Strain theory , points out that the social situation one is presented with dictates and molds the potential
criminal they could become. I agree. For example, I think some people are inclined to commit crimes
of stealing, due to limited funds. In many poverty ridden areas, thieves are just trying to survive.
Additionally, where there is poverty there is a lack of education. This leads to poor paying jobs, which
also leads to the commission of crime for survival. It reveals a humanizing reason for these offenses.
With differential association , I think many people are taught and often pressured by others as to how
to be socially deviant. For example, many people who are involved in drug and alcohol related crimes
socialize with people who also

The Carnage of World War I
The carnage of world war one was the result of the clash between new technologies, but old strategies.
Blitzkrieg warfare would be the first form of modern military tactics for it fully utilizes the
technological advancements of that time. The term Blitzkrieg was not invented by the Germans, but
by an English magazine that described the invasion of Poland (Showalter). While many accredit the
invention of Blitzkrieg warfare to Heinz Guderian, Germany s Chief of Mobile Troops during WWII,
it was actually invented far before that. In fact, it was developed right after WWI after seeing the
devastating effects of trench warfare(Showalter). Ironically, the basis of Blitzkrieg warfare was also
laid by German Field Marshall Alfred von Schlieffen of the famous Schlieffen plan of
WWI(Showalter). The basic essence of Blitzkrieg warfare was built upon the belief that Germany was
always going to be out resourced and out numbered in every war and thus in order to win it, the
Germans must strike hard and fast and penetrate deep behind enemy lines(Showalter). Thus,
Blitzkrieg warfare was the most effective military tactic of its time because it utilized all of the
technology of its time, it not only utilized physical warfare, but also psychological warfare, and
because Germany s opponents were not prepared for this kind of warfare.
One of the main reasons the Germans were so successful with Blitzkrieg warfare was because
Blitzkrieg warfare utilized all of the modern technologies to its

Role Of Women In Frankenstein
The Temperament of the Natural Role of Women in Frankenstein The scientific advances in
Frankenstein led to disastrous consequences, but on a more biological level than one would think. The
author, Mary Shelley was a woman born in Somers Town, London, in 1797. She was raised by her
father William Godwin, who was a writer and philosopher. When she wrote Frankenstein, Shelley
portrays a determined, male character, Victor Frankenstein as an obsessed scientist who creates a so
called monster out of various body parts he dug up out of a graveyard. The reason for the description,
so called monster is because a true monster is evil, inhumane, and lacks remorse. In addition to this,
the stigma around appearance being sociated with monster like ... Show more content on

It s important to realize that Frankenstein s nineteenth century is founded on the division of gender
roles: the male inhabits the public sphere, the female is relegated to domestic sphere. For example, the
men in all work outside the home, as public servants, scientists, merchants, or explorers. Also, the
women are confined to the home; Elizabeth, for instance, is not permitted to travel with Victor.
Interestingly, this is the reason why his wife wasn t involved with the idea of this experiment.
Throughout the novel, intellectual activity is segregated from emotional activity. With this in mind,
Victor Frankenstein cannot do scientific research and think lovingly of Elizabeth and his family at the
same time. While working on his experiment, he states to forget those friends who were so many
miles absent, and whom I had not seen for so long a time, ( Shelley 50) which means he became
disconnected from his relationships. This directly to his downfall because Frankenstein cannot work
and love at the same time. This results in him failing to feel empathy for the creature. The reason for
this is because being in isolation for so long, he starts to lose his sense of humility. By not maintaining
a loving relationship with his wife, he lost his reason to show compassion. Also, he fails to love or feel
any parental responsibility. As a matter of fact, Frankenstein manages to eliminate the biological role
of women, but didn t fulfill the motherly aspect. He fails to raise the monster as a mother would raise
a child. The reason for this is because he created the monster for his own personal gain. Women, on
the other hand, give birth with the intention to nurture and raising a life. By eliminating the biological
role of women, but not fulfilling the motherly aspect, it results in the monster seeking revenge on his
creator,

My Life Of My Mother
Literacy has always been close to my identity as a person. My mother wanted the best for her children,
and therefore would sing and read to us as soon as we were born. She encouraged out love of words
and books by taking us to the library for reading time and always seemed to find the most amazing
books for us to explore. My mother is very musically gifted, so songs were part of our daily routine.
There are still little songs that pop into my head about daily tasks that she created to help us learn and
make work and learning fun. When I grew a bit older, around the age of four, my mother formed a
group with other women in our neighborhood to form a preschool. They used the Joy School
curriculum and took turns having all of us over to their homes so that we could learn and play
together. I remember there was lots of music, reading many books, playing all sorts of games, and a
yearly Christmas program. Around this time, I began to learn about phonics and loved figuring out
which letters made which sounds. My mother tells me that I liked to rhyme a lot as a little child
because I found it fun. She said she thinks this is when my love of poetry started to develop. As I
transitioned into early elementary school, I was well prepared to enter Kindergarten. Because I have
always been pretty independent and self driven, my mother did not really have to push me to read. I
started reading the summer before Kindergarten and knew most sight words and how to sound out

  • 2. The Importance Of Family Dynamics Over the last 50 years, the meaning of family has changed and people of today s world struggle to define family. Henslin et al (2014), defines family as two or more people who consider themselves related by blood, marriage or adoption (p. 428). Due to the changes, this has also had an impact on family dynamics, which is now seen as complex. Family Dynamics has been defined as the patterns of relating, or interactions, between family members (Psychologytoday.com, healthychildren.org 2017). These concepts are everlasting; therefore, they develop as society does. Family dynamics are ever changing by improving or disadvantaging today s community. The family has changed in multiple ways from 50 years ago such as the roles of members of the family and the structure of families. The difference between families then and now is more prominent in the modern Australian society. The roles of parents and children have changed such as who is the leader, caretaker, provider. 50 years ago, the father was the dominant one in the family (Henslin 2014 p. 429 Brandth, B, Halrynjo, S Kvande, E 2017). Traditionally the father would be the one who would support the family financially. And the women s role would be to do the housework, take care of the kids and cook (Henslin 2014 p. 432 Brandth, B, Halrynjo, S Kvande, E 2017). Whereas, now the Australian parents are slowly becoming equal (Henslin 2014 p. 430). They are becoming equal as there are now men are now spending approximately ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Early American Indian Pottery History Introduction Ceramic making is still a popular tradition today in the Americas, especially on Native Indian Reservations, like in Western, North Carolina. The use of ceramics, however, is quite different than the way it was used by the natives during the Middle Woodland Period. Today, pottery is mainly made for decoration or art purposes by modern day Americans, but according to Wallis (2011), about 3,000 years ago the use of pottery became a very common use and practiced tradition among the native people who lived during that time period. The Swift Creek culture and the Cherokee Indians had very similar methods in formulating ceramics. The archaeological findings of these artifacts states that one group had been more advanced designs on their vessels. This reason is most likely because of the materials that one group was able to access in their area that the other group did not have available. One group was also more traditional and spiritual in making their vessels, which caused them to create more complex designs and methods while designing their ceramics (Block 2005). By looking at the similarities of both groups pottery styles, archaeologists were able to determine the minor but very distinctive differences, that one group processed in their art, than the other. By comparing each group s ceramics by looking at ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... 100 and 900 (Pluckhahn 2007). The decorations on the pottery that was being produced by the Swift Creek culture, became unusual overtime (Smith et all. 2009). Radiocarbon dates from the number of sites archaeologists have excavated containing Swift Creek pottery suggests the time range of their pottery is approximately 20 B.C. to A.D. 805 (Pluckhahn 2007). The pottery style changed heavily over time, because Swift Creek vessels first started off as deep jars with notched rims and then their pottery cultivated into bowl forms with folded rims (Smith et all. ... • 4. The s Influence On The World s Music Today Though Norway has a small population of only 5.3 million inhabitants, its musical culture is just as rich as many other countries. From classical and folk, to blues, country, electronic, hip hop, pop, rock, and metal, Norway s traditions contribute to all of them. Although Scandinavia is often overlooked, it has a strong influence on all of the world s music today. Archaeological digs have shed light on some unknown history of Norwegian music by revealing artifacts including instruments such as the lur. The lur, having been seen on ancient Scandinavian rock paintings, is a five to eight foot long bronze blowing horn. Having been found in Norway, Denmark, South Sweden, and even Northern Germany, these instruments are cast into many ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... He traveled throughout Europe while composing in order to incorporate Norwegian rural tradition as well as European culture into his music. Today he is highly celebrated in his hometown, with several statues and locations dedicated to his work. Another influential musician in Norway, Johan Svendsen, was a composer, conductor, and violinist. Svendsen was known for composing larger scale orchestras and ensembles, while Grieg composed for smaller instrumental ensembles. Svendson s most famous work is his Romance for violin and orchestra. Although Svendsen was extremely popular in Norway and Denmark, winning several awards and honors, these honors did not help his music spread very widely. Folk music in Norway has been passed down for hundreds of years. It isn t easy to completely describe Norwegian traditional music, with many specialized dialects from area to area. Few European traditional music genres have as rich a variety of dialects as the Norwegian ones. There are many opinions about what defines traditional music, but most Norwegian traditional music is in one of two categories: instrumental and vocal. Instrumental folk music is typically used for dancing and is called slĂĽtter in Norwegian. There are two types of these dance melodies two beat and three beat. These folk dances, usually performed by couples, are very social. Other ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. A Nation Essay A Nation A nation is said to exist when it could traced its origins through the state, in which it associate itself with, histories. Additionally, the cultural elites must be established and well versed in writing and speaking the national language. There must also be a valid reason for its claim on a certain territory. It is only when these three requirements are fulfilled will the international community consider their claim for a nation (Hobsbawm, 1990: 37). Disagreements, however, tend to arise in the political community over the definition of a nation. This essay will try to list out the different approaches employed in defining a nation starting from a nation being a natural cultural entity to it being politically and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The question on why and how he makes his choice is irrelevant. It is only when he consented to participate in the community will he readily conform to the community norms and values. Society cultural consciousness would then play an important role in dictating the speed of his consent. According to Herder, people become aware of their heritage when they read or listen to myths, legends and even songs. By doing so, the community captures the Volgeist or the spirit of the people. Language is thus seen as an important medium in spreading a community s culture as it contains people traditions and historical memories. Therefore a nation is defined as the unification of people through the sharing of the same cultural heritage (Heywood, 1997: 105). This approach has been met with several criticisms. Firstly, according to Gellner the definition used is too wide (Gellner, 1983: 53). By adopting the above criteria, any social network with the same cultural norms and values are entitled to call themselves as a nation. This would include clubs or any other associations. Another problem encountered by this definition is the impossibility of limiting cultural boundaries. He understood 200 years ago how dangerous the contradiction of beliefs may be. In order to have justice we need truth. Justice, in society today is presented as seemingly the most important value, a cornerstone of civilization. At the same time people have stopped believing in absolute truth. In the story, the townspeople decide whether or not they see the emperor s clothes, just like society attempts to change the understanding of truth from objective to a relative one, based on individual point of view. Nowadays the bubble zones around abortion clinics prevent pro life counselors from informing parents about the dangers of abortion. The many lies about abortion are created to convince everyone that the procedure is completely harmless, normal, and should be accepted as a basic human right. Pro choice activists promote abortion as an insignificant surgical procedure contrary to established scientific facts. Health risks include hemorrhage, infections, a higher risk of breast cancer and even death. Abortion not only harms the woman physically, but can also have a lifelong emotional and mental fallout on the whole family. In masking evil as good, society distorts the truth in the abortion debate, and since truth is a requirement for justice, we need to reveal it. Currently, there is much debate over what constitutes good faith . However, both jurisdictions have tended to agree on the conflated nature of the concepts of the implied terms of good faith and reasonableness and the obligation requiring parties to not act capriciously . According to Warner, the logical process that follows such a regulation ensures a certain shame attaches to any taste that is not universally shared. That summer, herding sheep on the mountain, the two men form a romantic relationship of sorts, one that lasts for the next twenty years of their lives and is anything but unproblematic. While telling the story of the men s experience of love and sex on Brokeback Mountain, Proulx litters images of markedness on the situation, blemishing the relationship between Ennis and Jack. In fact, the name recognition of the characters alone embodies a rather informative degree of stigma. To name a character Jack Twist is to create an entity beginning normally it starts with the very common, run of the mill name Jack. Prices have not kept up with production costs to the extent needed to make participation in the coffee business profitable for most producers, even though the crop year 2003 2004 witnessed a worldwide decrease in production. The Bell Curve Dilemma And Performance Appraisal The Bell curve conundrum It is a well established fact that employed human capital provides the competitive edge to the firms operating in the same competitive space. Organizations that have motivated and talented individuals are likely to forge ahead of the pack, even if they have similar products or services. That is why it is important that we manage the performance of the employees well. We discuss the goals to be achieved during the year; provide feedback to employees on their progress and modify the direction as the year progresses and organizational direction shifts. At the end of the performance year, start pulling together information and evidence of how well the employees have achieved the goals. Then apply a rating which will govern their payouts, promotions and compensation and create development plans for the next year. We cannot fathom anything to go wrong in this textbook laid process. It has been a best practice after all! But somehow performance appraisal is the most hated organizational practice by the employees. No one is ever happy with the results of their performance appraisals. Many solid, successful, and happy employees find their ratings discouraging. One religion in particular follow the same doctrine, but have different views on it, and that religion is Judaism. In Judaism, there are the secular Zionistic Jews and then there are True Torah Jews. Both believe in the same thing, but the way they carry it out is very different. The first question is, where did Zionism come from and how did it become popular? Zionism all started with a man name Theodore Herzl about one hundred years ago, and he got the great idea of starting a movement of taking the sacred True Torah Judaism and changing it a little bit. He wanted to start a branch of the religion and make it more secular, by not studying the Torah, and making Judaism more territorial by thinking that this religion should be in one area and that is modern day Jerusalem, or Israel. Blake expressed what he believed, and he wanted to prove his true understanding of Christianity. His audience for his poem understood Christianity and were familiar with the Bible. The poem establishes the theme of the vulnerability of innocence and a vision of the speaker. The child s view is limited on account of unawareness of the total reality of human knowledge. The voice of the poem is formed from a speaker that seems to be an innocent child, communicating with a lamb who is unable to answer or respond to the child. The rhyme scheme is similar to that of Dr. Seuss, it is like a nursery rhyme, and also a riddle. This is one of William s simpler poems, but with a closer analysis it reveals hidden symbols, meaning, tones, and wordplay. William Blake writes The Songs of Innocence, so this poem is obviously going to relate to some kind of innocence. It is revealed in the second stanza when the speaker addresses the lamb as if it knows who made it, and who gave it all of its features. However, the lamb or child does not answer, but of course it would not answer. This then causes the speaker to answer his own questions. Which proves that the lamb is too innocent to answer for itself. Dost thou know who made thee? /Little Lamb I ll tell thee (10 11). This displays the wordplay in the poem because the reader asks questions and then ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Illustratte Technique and How It Relates to Performance Essay According to the Dictionary of Sport Science, 1992 technique is best defined as a specific sequence of movements or parts of movement in solving movement tasks in sports situations . Bober, 1981 suggested that using kinematic and temporal variables is the best way to illustrate technique. Most reports reviewing technique reported the use temporal occurrence of linear and angular displacements and velocity and their amplitude. Other implements are available for quantifying biomechanical movement such as electromyography, plantar pressure and kinetic analysis. Yan, et al, 2012 carried out a systematic review comparing the effects barefoot and shod conditions, their aim was to clarify the effects of shoes on the most generally used variables associated with impact analysis of the lower limb. They concluded that there was insufficient evidence to draw an overall conclusion as to the benefits of shoes as they found conflicting results within the literature. Thomas Edison once replied when asked why he continued working after so many failures, I didn t fail, I found 10,000 ways that didn t work. This is a contrary view to the ignorant being condemned to repeating the past. People who are familiar with the past simply do not make the same mistakes. Of course they wouldn t because they know how NOT to accomplish their goals. Another way of looking at the past is tan alternate phrase, Hindsight is 20/20. It captures the idea that past mistakes were made and remains ambiguous whether those mistakes will or will not be made during similar future events. The Closing of the Thompson Street Pool doesn t exactly fall under the category of something that those who are ignorant of the past being doomed to repeat unless you consider the outcome and what was done to reach it. The only people who could learn anything from it are the government officials in charge of the budget, but let s face it, the government never learns from it s mistakes. If that were the case, our government would work on fixing our own financial problems before sending billions of dollars overseas to rebuild countries that we were at war with after EVERY war. • 30. Racism Is A Hate Crime In America Racism is a hate crime Racism has been a problem in the United States of America for a long time, dating back to early America when the Native Americans were often attacked, harassed, and killed. Another early problem of racism is the African slave trade. Enslaving and trading the African people amongst white people also helped contribute to the environment of a racist culture in America by demoralizing the African races and teaching white Americans that they are better than the African races. Although the civil rights of African Americans have improved over the last few decades and America now has an African American president, racism still has a strong presence. A common modern trend in America is incidental racism, which is giving other races equal opportunity and using other elements to justify racist behavior. Racism kills and at the same time saves the people. Racism is likely to kill people internally by damaging their emotions and well being as a human being. Nobody likes to be at the end of the stick of racism, people would rather be able to live their lives free of racism. I see racism as a criminal violence only because it s an evil force really. Of course, someone does not have to be racist because they are violent, or violent because they are racist, but I feel like racism is a crime and should be treated as such. I feel like most hate crimes are mainly because someone hates the other race. Hate crimes are increasing yesterday, today, and will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Information System security is an area that needs to be improved. This can be iterated by the following quote from useoftechnology.com: With tools like the internet, hackers have found it very easy to hack into any computer or system as long as it is connected on internet. Hackers can easily use an IP (Internet Protocol) address to access a user s computer and collect data for selfish reasons. Most of us know someone who has been a victim of a crime, has committed a crime or have committed a crime ourselves. News outlets are filled with crime stories. Television shows depict criminals and the agencies trying to bring criminals to justice. Being such a dominant part of life, it is essential that we take a deeper look into the causes and trends of crime. Discussion of Theory I believe there are many different motivating factors as to why people commit crimes. There are a few theories that I learned in criminology that coincide with my own personal beliefs. I believe components from strain theory , differential association theory , and labeling theory have valid points. Strain theory , points out that the social situation one is presented with dictates and molds the potential criminal they could become. I agree. For example, I think some people are inclined to commit crimes of stealing, due to limited funds. In many poverty ridden areas, thieves are just trying to survive. Additionally, where there is poverty there is a lack of education. This leads to poor paying jobs, which also leads to the commission of crime for survival. It reveals a humanizing reason for these offenses. With differential association , I think many people are taught and often pressured by others as to how to be socially deviant. For example, many people who are involved in drug and alcohol related crimes socialize with people who also ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 33. The Carnage of World War I The carnage of world war one was the result of the clash between new technologies, but old strategies. Blitzkrieg warfare would be the first form of modern military tactics for it fully utilizes the technological advancements of that time. The term Blitzkrieg was not invented by the Germans, but by an English magazine that described the invasion of Poland (Showalter). While many accredit the invention of Blitzkrieg warfare to Heinz Guderian, Germany s Chief of Mobile Troops during WWII, it was actually invented far before that. In fact, it was developed right after WWI after seeing the devastating effects of trench warfare(Showalter). Ironically, the basis of Blitzkrieg warfare was also laid by German Field Marshall Alfred von Schlieffen of the famous Schlieffen plan of WWI(Showalter). The basic essence of Blitzkrieg warfare was built upon the belief that Germany was always going to be out resourced and out numbered in every war and thus in order to win it, the Germans must strike hard and fast and penetrate deep behind enemy lines(Showalter). Thus, Blitzkrieg warfare was the most effective military tactic of its time because it utilized all of the technology of its time, it not only utilized physical warfare, but also psychological warfare, and because Germany s opponents were not prepared for this kind of warfare. One of the main reasons the Germans were so successful with Blitzkrieg warfare was because Blitzkrieg warfare utilized all of the modern technologies to its ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Role Of Women In Frankenstein The Temperament of the Natural Role of Women in Frankenstein The scientific advances in Frankenstein led to disastrous consequences, but on a more biological level than one would think. The author, Mary Shelley was a woman born in Somers Town, London, in 1797. She was raised by her father William Godwin, who was a writer and philosopher. When she wrote Frankenstein, Shelley portrays a determined, male character, Victor Frankenstein as an obsessed scientist who creates a so called monster out of various body parts he dug up out of a graveyard. The reason for the description, so called monster is because a true monster is evil, inhumane, and lacks remorse. It s important to realize that Frankenstein s nineteenth century is founded on the division of gender roles: the male inhabits the public sphere, the female is relegated to domestic sphere. For example, the men in all work outside the home, as public servants, scientists, merchants, or explorers. Also, the women are confined to the home; Elizabeth, for instance, is not permitted to travel with Victor. Interestingly, this is the reason why his wife wasn t involved with the idea of this experiment. Throughout the novel, intellectual activity is segregated from emotional activity. With this in mind, Victor Frankenstein cannot do scientific research and think lovingly of Elizabeth and his family at the same time. While working on his experiment, he states to forget those friends who were so many miles absent, and whom I had not seen for so long a time, ( Shelley 50) which means he became disconnected from his relationships. This directly to his downfall because Frankenstein cannot work and love at the same time. This results in him failing to feel empathy for the creature. The reason for this is because being in isolation for so long, he starts to lose his sense of humility. By not maintaining a loving relationship with his wife, he lost his reason to show compassion. Also, he fails to love or feel any parental responsibility. As a matter of fact, Frankenstein manages to eliminate the biological role of women, but didn t fulfill the motherly aspect. He fails to raise the monster as a mother would raise a child. The reason for this is because he created the monster for his own personal gain. Women, on the other hand, give birth with the intention to nurture and raising a life. By eliminating the biological role of women, but not fulfilling the motherly aspect, it results in the monster seeking revenge on his creator, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

My mother is very musically gifted, so songs were part of our daily routine. There are still little songs that pop into my head about daily tasks that she created to help us learn and make work and learning fun. When I grew a bit older, around the age of four, my mother formed a group with other women in our neighborhood to form a preschool. They used the Joy School curriculum and took turns having all of us over to their homes so that we could learn and play together. I remember there was lots of music, reading many books, playing all sorts of games, and a yearly Christmas program. Around this time, I began to learn about phonics and loved figuring out which letters made which sounds. My mother tells me that I liked to rhyme a lot as a little child because I found it fun.
